It's a battle between student and teacher to find out which gifted human-experimented guru can beat the other in a fight to the death!
Introduction[]
Wiz: If I've learned anything from my countless experiments, it's that, to the everyday layman, human experimentation is sick, cruel and sometimes necessary to learn more about ourselves.
Boomstick: And if I've learned anything from Wiz's countless experiments, it's that sometimes, they can make incredibly badass, destructive forces.
Wiz: Like Korosensei, the former Reaper and the Teacher of the Assassination Classroom.
Boomstick: And Izuru Kamakura, the former Hajime Hinata and the Ultimate Hope of Hope's Peak Academy
Wiz: I'm Wiz and he's Boomstick and it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skill to find out who would win a Death Battle
Korosensei[]
To the class that he teaches, Korosensei is known as an amazing teacher, although a bit eccentric, who has a knack for assassination.
But don't be fooled by those small beady eyes and that big grin on his yellow head. Before he became that... thing... he was an assassin known as The Reaper.
The Reaper was a master assassin who left bodies in his wake and anyone who saw him would fear him.
That was until, he murdered some rich jackass and that jackass's son was inspired by his murder.
After that, the boy went beyond meeting his hero and decided to become his apprentice learning everything that The Reaper could teach him with The Reaper being able to pull off more schemes... Until the apprentice ended up betraying the Reaper and taking his nickname, leading to his arrest.
Well, it IS an anime so if the backstory didn't have betrayal, it'd probably have death
Huh... Interesting... :)
... Wiz? You're looking at me weird.
Anyways, after being captured, he was experimented on by Kotaro Yanagisawa who wanted to find out the secret to antimatter by testing it on the Reaper and while there, he befriended a woman named Aguri Yukimara, a teacher at the time, who ended up teaching the Reaper about compassion.
Then, after a while, the Reaper decided that he had enough and then he escapes going on a rampage and killing everyone and anyone he could... which indirectly lead to the death of AguriOH COME ON!
Her dying wish was for him to teach her class and so entered class 3-E and gave them a condition to their learning.
That they had to kill their new teacher by March. Man, what a guy.
And that's where he was officially named: Korosensei
With his newly experimented on body, Korosensei can do some incredibly superhuman things.
Korosensei isn't affected by normal bullets and most harmful chemicals don't affect him at all even by ingesting them directly.
He's got color changing powers, changing colors when he feels different emotions.
Examples include being red from anger or gaining green stripes when he feels overconfident.
And strangely enough, his mucus can also shield Korosensei from damage, including supersonic flight! Eww.
Not to mention, Korosensei has a Molting ability in which he "sheds his skin" so to speak, to protect himself from any dangerous explosions that may immediately come up, though this does result in his energy being drained slightly and him being slower than before.
Speaking of, Korosensei's main attribute is his incredible speed.
He can fly up to speeds of Mach 20, self reportedly and his speed can even give him the power to make multiple clones of himself through moving around really fast. He can even fully make takoyaki in around half a minute and he was able to take a whole pot of stew, that had been pushed over, and put it back in the pot by using an eyedropper on it in midair.
And then there are his tentacles. Huh. It's kinda strange to have this be the first anime character we cover that has lots of tentacles isn't it?
These Tendrills are extremely stretchy and flexible while, combined with his speed, also having an incredible amount of precision to the point where he can do on-the-spot surgery in the span of a few seconds.
And even if you were to find a way to damage the octopus man, he can still regenerate that damage at the cost of some of his energy.
He can also camouflage himself, he has an incredible intelect and has keen senses including sight and scent. With this, he can perform the clap, in which he can paralyze his opponents by surprising them in a moment of bloodlust.
His defense isn't pretty bad either, since he tanked hits from the Reaper. The new one, not the old one.
In test runs, the Reaper was able to destroy a building with his tentacles in one attack which is at least 2 tons of energy at the most.
He's got intimidation powers and then there are his signature gunvest and gun, his Absolute Defense Form and his Antimatter Energy Lasers.
By combining the energy of two of his tentacles, Korosensei can create an explosion and crystalize himself in his Absolute Defense Form, where he's claimed to survive nuclear bombs, although he can't really move in this state and he's stuck there for 24 hours.
And by channeling his inner energy to his tentacles, he can shoot his Antimatter Energy Lasers and, while it means he can't use his tentacles while using it, their strength is enough to destroy a tent capable of being run over by a tank!
Not to mention, he technically has one final move that he can use as a last resort. He can blow up the planet.
Wait. WHAT?!
Because the antimatter cells were injected into Korosensei, his body wouldn't be able to take it all in. When a small lab rat was taken to the moon and died, its antimatter cells created an explosion that destroyed 3/4ths of the moon and scientists predict that Korosensei could do the same, but destroy the earth.
Welp. Looks like we gotta kill him. What are his weaknesses?
Unfortunately, or fortunately for Boomstick's case, there are several weaknesses that Korosensei is exploitable to.
There are several anti-him weapons made of materials that can only hurt Korosensei, he can be incredibly overconfident in his abilities and can panic when put under pressure, he's not generally strong without his energy lasers, any loss of his tentacles can result in reduced speed, water can weaken the movement of his tentacles and a direct hit through the heart would instantly kill him.
Huh. That's a lot to keep track of.
And there are a lot more, but it would be near impossible to discover most of these weaknesses as Korosensei's incredibly talented. With someone who can beat the twice-as-fast Reaper and still save someone from the brink of death and defeating the stronger Itona Horibe, who had stronger tentacles implanted in him.
He can memorize all of the math problems in Japan and, even before he was transformed, he's an expert in assassination
It's clear to see that very many should be afraid of Korosensei, when he gets serious.
Korosensei: The fact that I'm targetted by everyone... Is proof that I'm powerful, after all.
Izuru Kamakura[]
Hajime Hinata was a member of the elite Hope's Peak Academy, a school where only ultimate students could attend.
And by ultimate, they really do mean ultimate! Ultimate Chemist, Ultimate Writing Prodigy, even Ultimate Clairvoyant and Ultimate Traditional Dancer. If you've got a talent, they'll take you
He's always dreamed of being a student in the school. However, he doesn't have any ultimate talents to speak of. Which led him to do the next best thing: Join the reserve course, where he could still be a part of his dream school.
Unfortunately, he kept on feeling inferior about his skills, even after becoming friends with people who liked him for him, those including the Ultimate Gamer, Chiaki Nanami, so he resorted to science like Wiz would
For the sake of science and a belief that the hope for the future rests in talent, a group called the Steering Committee developed the Izuru Kamakura Project, named after Hope's Peak's Founder, where they planned to give someone every single talent possible to provide the Ultimate Hope, behind the principal's back.
Because of this, Hajime decided that he would be willing to do anything to stand with his equals with talent of his own and went with the project... except, he kinda ended up supressing his memories of his former self to fit in all of that knowlege so, he decided to take up the name Izuru Kamakura
Well, he didn't actually take up the name. He just accepted it because everyone was calling him that
Huh. Just like your name Wiz!
What are you talking about Boomstick?
Hey guys! Did you know Wiz's real name is-
Punch in stomach
OW
Don't you dare.
In any case, Izuru Kamakura was a man who has every single talent but had no purpose for feelings or morality and his talents are enough to surpass any and all students in their respective talents.
Any and every talent you can think of, he has mastery of, including every single martial art, technology, medicine, copying other people's talents and being able to handle every single type of weapon. Wait. WHAT?!
He's a master of analysis and deduction, to the point where, even before he was experimented on, he could solve murder mysteries in the span of a day. He can also use this to predict movements of even highly-trained killers.
He's incredibly athletic and strong compared to his Ultimate Classmates, including Nekomaru Nidai who can punch craters in the ground, shit craters through the earth and can run so fast through trees that he can cause explosions, Sakura Ogami, the strongest fighter in the world, and Mukuro Ikusaba who was able to fight on par with a hundred Monokumas while being shot by machine gun turrets. Damn!
Also, compared to the Ultimate Despair, we can confirm that he's incredibly durable as well, as she she survived most of the Ultimate Punishment where she was hit by a thousand baseballs, electrocuted with enough force to liquefy, being hit by a truck, being pounded by a bulldozer and even exiting and re-entering Earth's atmosphere
What the hell?! How is that even possible?
Well, it's confirmed that both she and Izuru can deal with high amounts of pain, including mortal wounds and be fine.
Well... God damn... I guess he's the Ultimate Badass as well...
He has incredible powers of stealth, being able to withold his precense to the point where few can see him, doing so even better than the Ultimate Secret Agent.
He's also got a special technique that he can combine with his other abilities: making illusions! By feeding you food, making you look at his fireworks, playing an instrument or even singing, Izuru can put someone in a state of paralysis or fear or even make them see illusions of things that aren't there.
As a statement on his power with these, by viewing animations made in collaboration with the Ultimate Despair and the Ultimate Animator, it made over 2000 people either give into despair to the point where they would either become slaves to the Ultimate Despair (with the Despair Video) or do anything to kill themselves and get over it (with the Suicide Video), including the self-titled Ultimate Hope Makoto Naegi who almost commited suicide.
That... is incredibly morbid and I want to not think about that as soon as possible.
Oh. Well, he also has the Hope Video on his phone... which can hypnotize people into doing anything that the person in question wants...
That's not really any better...
Don't Worry... It's not permenant... unless someone watches it for more than 30 minutes.
Wiz... I'm never inviting you to a party ever again.
In any case, The point is Izuru could use these techniques, most likely better than both the Ultimate Despair and the Ultimate Animator.
And then there's a not so morbid final talent that Izuru has... his... Luck? Wiz, is this a joke?
Actually no. Izuru's supernatural luck is quantifiably in his favor, even being able to surpass that of Nagito Komaeda who's had things happen to him that are luckier than 1 in a billion chances!
Huh. I better let this kid buy me a lottery ticket someday.
Izuru has done some unbelievable things, like cause the end of the world, one-shot Mukuro Ikusaba and ended up beating the Ultimate Despair, even when he gave her literally every advantage possible.
He's even able to beat the Ultimate Despair in a one-on-one fight and his skills helped to save 14 other Ultimates from the brink of death.
Unfortunately, his main weakness is the fact that he generally doesn't feel emotion and he rarely feels the need to attack or do anything other than if he's told to do so.
Because of this, Izuru essentially did what people told him to, for the sake of hope... Until, the Ultimate Despair happened to walk in and convince him to join the dark side, where he kinda sorta helped cause the destruction of the entire world... Ok, there's the betrayal.
By being intrigued by the concept of despair, the Ultimate Despair was able to get Izuru to do whatever she wanted for the sake of unpredictability, which ended up with Chiaki getting killed as well.
GOD DAMMIT NOT AGAIN!
But it seemed as if Chiaki's death sparked the repressed memories of Hajime which meant that Izuru could find hope and save the world in the end.
But, he still caused the end of the world before he did that anyways so, I guess it was baby steps for him
Still, There are few people as impressive as Izuru Kamakura. And if you're a sign of despair, he will show you what it truly means to be an Ultimate Hope through any means necessary.
Izuru: Despair? From a logical standpoint there's no emotion less essential.
Interlude[]
All right, the combatants are set, let's settle this debate once and for all.
IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLE!
Battle[]
Korosensei is going for a nice stroll in the street, looking at news articles about a killer made in Hope's Peak Academy.
"Wow. Izuru Kamakura huh. Looks like another product of human experimentation, like moi. But why would Hope's Peak even make such a murderer?"
He says this with a smile as he's excited by the prospect of finding all the juicy details.
"One thing's for sure though, He's a student that needs disipline. And I think my methods would be particularly suited for him."
As soon as he walks a bit further, he notices Izuru Kamakura walking past him at the intersection.
He then notices that the city is in flames behind Kamakura and then yells out to him.
"Excuse me. Mr Kamakura?"
Izuru looked at the giant yellow octopus and stared at him blankly.
"This behavior of yours shouldn't be allowed."
After a long silence, Izuru finally says "What are you?"
Korosensei's face turns red.
"If you must know, I'm a teacher that has to teach you some manners, the hard way."
Izuru stared at him, readying a blocking pose. "Do what you want. It's of no concern to me, but I'm willing to do it because you seem interesting."
FIGHT
Before the T in fight ended, Korosensei teleported behind Kamakura using his speed and hit him multiple times in succession.
Kamakura felt disorientated for a few seconds, trying to process what just happened. After that, however, he got up on his feet and approached Korosensei with a punch.
Korosensei dodged it easilly and tried to use the opportunity to hit Kamakura again with his tentacle, but Izuru blocked it instead.
With one move, he's learned how to block a tentacle? That's impressive, but not impressive enough.
Korosensei kept slapping Izuru with his tentacles and, while Kamakura was able to block some of them, others were direct hits and pushed him further and further back.
Kamakura dealt with Korosensei's attacks in general annoyance as the actual battle wasn't really going anywhere but he realized that Korosensei was aiming for his pressure points. So, in order to make things more interesting, Kamakura pulled out a cherry bomb he had found in his shirt pocket (How Lucky!) and threw it at Korosensei, making a small explosion.
Korosensei's face grew green stripes as he knew that small explosion wouldn't do much to him.
Suddenly, out of the smoke, Kamakura charged at him with a punch. He easilly dodged it and, as Kamakura tried punching him repeatedly, Korosensei kept dodging.
There's no way he can hit me like that, but... something feels off.
To test his theory, Korosensei tried hitting Kamakura but he dodged it. Frustrated, Korosensei used his high speed to try and hit Kamakura several times, but when he finally hit him, his tentacle went right through his body as if his body was never there.
Korosensei: "What the-"
POW!
Before Korosensei could finish his thought, Kamakura hit him from behind, sending him flying and, while Korosensei was flying, he noticed that the smoke dissopated, turning two Kamakuras into one Kamakura.
Visual Illusions huh... Interesting...
In Mid Flight, Korosensei sped to where Kamakura was, grabbed his body by the ankle and flung him towards a nearby building.
Kamakura only had the thought of interest enter his mind, as the yellow octopus creature was definitely worth his time. He was about to fly straight into the building but, fortunately, a matress fell from the roof, cushioning his flight and letting him enter the building normally.
Korosensei was stunned. There was no way Kamakura could have planned for that mattress to fall but, in spite of that, he flew to the the building and went in.
All Korosensei could see was darkness but, through his other senses, he heard Kamakura tinkering with some electronics on the top floor and found himself near a various array of electronics and gunpowder. Korosensei's grin widened
Korosensei: "If you think you can invent something that can stop me, then I'll be happy to do the same to you!"
With his Hypersonic speed, he made a machine gun turret fully operational and aimed it towards where Kamakura sounded like he would be. It immediately fired.
Instead of Kamakura being shot, however, he jumped out of the way of the fire and revealed a new weapon of his, an arm cannon loaded with fireworks. As the turret tried to shoot Kamakura, he kept on sidestepping the shot. Eventually, he knocked the turret down with his fireworks.
Kamakura knew where Korosensei was going to be next and shot a firework behind him just as Korosensei teleported there.
BOOM
Kamakura, for a split second, thought the battle was over but after that split second ended, Korosensei's protective barrier skin shot forward at Kamakura, trapping him while Korosensei's skin gained green stripes.
While he had that smug look of satisfaction, he grabbed Kamakura in the skin and slammed him repeatedly against the walls before flinging him, and the skin, on a wall and charging at Kamakura with Mach 20 flight.
While flying, Kamakura was able to fit both the Fireworks Launcher and the skin barrier in his blazer pockets as Korosensei wrapped his tentacles tightly around Kamakura, letting him feel the full power of Mach 20 first-hand.
Korosensei: "Your stop is coming up!"
Korosensei started to fly closer to the land, intending to drag Kamakura against the earth at Mach 20. Fortunately for Kamakura, the skin barrier unfolded itself and helped cushion the dragging.
Korosensei's face turned red, as it seemed impossible for someone to have such luck, so he was about to drag him further until he saw the ocean coming up. At that point, he pulled Kamakura up and intended to keep on flying until he could reach land again.
While being pulled up, Kamakura wrapped the skin barrier around his arm cannon as, he had an idea.
Why would he avoid water if it would have the same effect against me as it would have dragging me against the ground?
Kamakura closes his eyes slightly and takes one of the fireworks he made and manages to bang it against Korosensei so hard that it causes an explosion.
Korosensei, surprised, lets go of Kamakura. As he prepares to dive into the water, Korosensei grabs him by his legs and flings him in the air, about to fly him into space.
Korosensei tries to regrab Kamakura.but, to his surprise, he was able to avoid some of his tentacles.
Oh no! The skin molting reduced my speed!
Before Korosensei's thought was finished, Kamakura dug his nails onto one of Korosensei's tentacles, trying to pull it off. Feeling incredibly uncomfortable pain, Korosensei lets go of Kamakura in time for him to take a dive into the sea.
Korosensei tries to cause whirlpools to get Kamakura to surface but Kamakura swam away from them with relative ease.
Korosensei's face gets red with anger and, because he knows that Kamakura has to come out sometime, he makes Mach 20 afterimages of himself around each general body of land that Kamakura cold possibly go to within a 100 mile radius.
Under the sea, Kamakura notices that the pieces of Korosensei that he had in his nails started to bloat and, from there, he came up with a plan.
...
A Korosensei afterimage sees something approaching Island C at an incredibly fast rate and readies himself there for Kamakura.
SPLASH!
Out of the water, came Kamakura's shoes which were placed on the ground, and then Kamakura himself! His entire body seemed like it was covered with water and Korosensei looked eager to continue the fight.
The first thing that Kamakura does is whip his hair in such a way that the water would fire at Korosensei like bullets. This didn't work, however, as Korosensei was able to avoid them all. Kamakura then tried throwing water at Korosensei from both of his hands which, again, Korosensei was able to dodge easilly.
Kamakura tries balling up and throwing his water-soaked blazer at Korosensei but, before it could reach him, Korosensei took the time to dry it off in midair and wrapped it around Kamakura, along with his tentacles.
Korosensei: I'll admit. I'm surprised that you found out about my weakness to water and tried to take advantage of it, but it was ultimately futile. Now... shall we resume our flight?
As Korosensei said this, his face grew closer to Kamakura. Kamakura's cheeks inflate.
SPLASH!
Kamakura spit water into Korosensei's Eyes!
Korosensei starts freaking out, covering his eyes, when he senses Kamakura throwing a rock at him at an incredible speed.
When will this kid ever learn...
Korosensei tries to smack the rock out of the way with one of his tentacles but then, as he tried to do so,
SPLASH!
His tentacle had been penetrated by four bullet shaped holes! He looked at the rock and realized that it had four small pieces of Korosensei's tentacle on it. It took him about a second but he realized that Kamakura had used the bloated pieces of Korosensei from earlier and they stuck onto the rock as he threw it!
In that second of realization, however, Kamakura was able to run to the damaged tentacle and held it in such a way that Korosensei was essentially in a Judo hold.
RRRRRIP!
Korosensei's tentacle was ripped off through the tears caused by the bullet holes and Korosensei ended up surprised, as he lost track of Kamakura. So, he decided not to regenerate his tentacle due to a lack of energy and made a bunch of mach clones of himself to search for him
Meanwhile, on top of a tree, Kamakura was able to disguise his presence and thought to himself for a second.
This man's trickier than I thought. I need to get inside of his head.
He jumped out of the tree and ran towards Korosensei as an inhumanly large grin appeared on Kamakura's face.
They clash attacks, Korosensei with his tentacle and Kamakura with one of his very own, ripped straight off of Korosensei himself.
Kamakura: "You won't be able to attack me so easilly anymore!"
Korosensei: "Are you copying me?!"
Rapidfire attacks after rapidfire attacks start barraging each other, causing surrounding trees in the area to be destroyed just by their impact.
Unlike before, the constant healing and the shed skin that Korosensei used up started to catch up to him as he was attacking slower and Kamakura was able to block all of them while hitting Korosensei more. The use of one less tentacle meant that Kamakura could attack him even more to the point where he was able to land a REALLY powerful strike.
SPLASH.
Another one of Korosensei's tentacles came out and Kamakura immediately grabbed it and started barraging Korosensei with more attacks. Korosensei was overwhelmed. He started Panicking. But he knew he couldn't give up. He created a bunch of Mach clones of himself and tried to overwhelm Kamakura with his attacks.
Kamakura sighed and launched multiple fireworks in the direction of the clones, where more Kamakuras started to appear and try to attack Korosensei while the original one hid his presence.
Eventually, the Korosensei Clones were able to find the original Kamakura, due to his scent and drilled under him.
They grabbed Kamakura, by the legs, and pulled him down, trapping Kamakura in the ground.
From a relatively short distance away, Korosensei was charging his Energy Laser to finish off Kamakura.
Kamakura saw this and started struggling to escape. The light from Korosensei began getting brighter and brighter. Soon, he got his two arms out but eventually,
Korosensei: "Class is Dismissed Kamakura!"
BOOM
All that was left where Kamakura was, was a giant laser sized crater and a hole where Kamakura's remains should have been.
Wait. A hole? How could he have possibly-
Just as he questioned the lack of Kamakura, he looked upwards to see him fall from the sky.
Korosensei immediately tried to attack him and see if it was an illusion, to which Kamakura was able to block easilly.
Korosensei: "He jumped over my laser?!"
He started panicking more and more as Kamakura kept on hitting him with barrage after barrage and, unfortunately, Korosensei had less energy and less speed than before. Still, Korosensei knew that he couldn't keep his eyes off of his opponent for one second and thankfully, his keen senses let him take on Kamakura despite the fact that he was being pushed back. Unfortunately, Korosensei stepped in Kamakura's shoes, which Kamakura set aside earlier and was filled with water. Even though he took his tentacle immedeately out of the shoe, that tentacle got soaked and Korosensei lost his balance slightly.
Kamakura noticed Korosensei stepping in his shoe and kicked the other shoe over. Soon, most of Korosensei's Foot tentacles were covered in salt water and in one fell swoop,
SLASH
most of Korosensei's leg tentacles were cut off!
It seemed improbable and even crazy but Korosensei had to admit that Kamakura has come closer to killing him than most others that he's encountered before.
Kamakura stood over Korosensei, about to stab him when, all of a sudden, Korosensei crosses two of his remaining tentacles and fills them with energy.
Korosensei has a smile while Kamakura looks slightly annoyed as he tries to jump out of the way but can't do so in time as the light grew brighter.
BOOM!
What was left was a large crater with a big smile on Korosensei's Face as he laid still in his absolute defense form.
Korosensei: "I didn't want to do this but he left me no choice. I guess I'll call in sick tomorrow."
A hand grabs Korosensei and tries to punch Korosensei, initially surprising Korosensei.
It was Kamakura, slightly bleeding and slightly dusty as his punches do nothing and Korosensei laughs.
Korosensei: "Sorry kiddo, but you're not breaking through here any time soon! Though I must admit that I'm impressed that you survived that. Once I get my energy back, though, I can guarantee that tomorrow will be your last day!"
Kamakura has enough. He picks Korosensei up and plays a video on his phone to Korosensei.
He was showing Korosensei a version of "Monokuma's Gloomy Sunday" aka the Suicide Video.
Korosensei couldn't look away. All he could see was his students begging him for death (which was normal) and, when he thought nothing new could hit him due to his depressing backstory, Aguri showed up telling him that he should die.
He broke.
Korosensei started screaming in pain as he couldn't deal with those images and shut off anything that was happening outside his mind... which was unfortunate for him.
Kamakura took the screaming ball and threw him high in the sky. It was at that moment that a helicopter was spiraling out of control and was heading towards Korosensei. Korosensei ended up going into the helicopter door as it was closing itself back up and it crashed into the sea, falling lower and lower into the abyss.
Kamakura looked on in disdain as the comedy of errors happened before his eyes.
I doubt that he'd die from that. Especially since he talked about tomorrow and all. I guess this means it's all the time I have.
Kamakura walks over to some of the tentacles and starts to analyze them.
One thing I know for sure, however, is that I have to aim for the heart
...
One hour later, Korosensei stops screaming, being able to resist the Suicide Video and starts to wonder why he's trapped in a helicopter at the bottom of the ocean.
Despite this, however, he stays in that form, planning how he can end Kamakura.
...
24 hours have passed and the Island itself is at a near standstill.
Korosensei reforms, underwater, but uses his tentacles and his mucus to make a shield around himself as he dashes to the surface.
Korosensei immediately jumps out of the water and sees a bunch of Kamakura clones. He spreads throughout the island and tries to rely on his senses instead of fighting the clones.
He creates around 20 Afterimages and dashes through the fake Kamakuras to try and find the real one. One of them can smell Kamakura's scent nearby and uses his tentacles to grab what he can sense.
POP
He looked at what he thought was Kamakura only to find a piece of his clothing and a makeshift water baloon. Another one smelled Kamakura rushing towards him and used his tentacles against that.
SQUACK.
Apparently it was just a bird that had a piece of his blazer on it. But soon there were more.
More than Korosensei thought, all of them with a piece of cloth circling the island and occasionally dashing towards Korosensei trying to confuse him. At this point, he had enough.
He, and his clones, went on a rampage, trashing anything and everything on the island from trees, to animals to stone with his tentacles until there was nothing left on the island. He even made sure to protect his tentacles when he dealt with any water baloons that he encountered.
Soon, there was nothing and no Kamakura. This lead to Korosensei trying to dig underneath the island. He took his 20 afterimages and started systematically digging holes tearing through whatever he could. Soon, his afterimages lessened and it eventually became one Korosensei quickly digging through the island. He'd occasionally bump into the sea and/or water pockets but he was fairly protected from it.
CRASH!
After a bit of frustration, Korosensei heard a crash from a certain area and knew that he was close to Kamakura. He eventually dug his way in and found him, in a crater next to some water.
As soon as they found each other, Korosensei readied his tentacles and Kamakura inhaled.
CLAP
Korosensei knew that the clap would help him paralyze Kamakura but, instead, Korosensei got a ringing in his ears.
His eyes were able to divert slightly to see Kamakura singing at such a frequency that Korosensei was paralyzed.
He fell down and, while Kamakura was singing, Korosensei's body was becoming bloated from the water below.
Kamakura then pulled out his phone again and, instead of the suicide video, he played a video of a kaleidoscope reforming. It was the Hope Video!
Korosensei stared at it and, to not take any chances, Kamakura took out his new, improved, arm cannon and shot at Korosensei.
SPLAT!
Kamakura's bullet wasn't a firework but instead, a spiked version of Korosensei's Tentacle that pierced through Korosensei's heart
KO[]
Korosensei's molecules dissopated into the air as Kamakura jumped out.
Sayonara. You were the most interesting thing I've seen so far.
Results[]
Jesus. That took longer than I thought it would.
Korosensei was definitely impressive in many aspects, but Kamakura ultimately had more going for him than Korosensei did.
In terms of Attack and Defense, this is pretty obvious
Korosensei's biggest attack is potentially with his energy lasers. he has claimed that they can take down tanks which puts him at building level. This is also compounded with the shockwave that he performed when he transformed into his Absolute Defense Form.
By using these calculations, we can confirm that his max attack is around 1.7 tons or slightly above building level. In Comparison with Nekomaru Nidai, who has been able to cause explosions of 5.35 tons of TNT, by using these calculations (https://sta.sh/0d48s7y9bi9) and Mukuro Ikusaba and Genocide Jill, who could deal with hundreds of building-level Monokumas easilly as well as Sakura who could fight Monokuma to a standstill.
But couldn't Korosensei blow up the world?
Not likely, as unlike most other tentacle users, Korosensei's tentacles are made to be incredibly weak, meaning it wouldn't be appropriate to scale those feats to Itona or the Reaper. It also means that he has a strong connection to the tentacles, essentially saying that its extremely unlikely that he could do so and even then, since Kamakura has incredible luck, it'd be doubtful to say that it would go off.
And in defense, there's basically no competition as, even if we were to assume that base Korosensei was hit by the full power of the Reaper, that being at most 2 tons of force. It's nothing compared to the Ultimate Punishment that Junko endured. And even with the Absolute Defense form, he leaves himself open to a variety of Kamakura's illusion techniques as well as some technical (and ONLY technical) preparation time, assuming that he doesn't just use his illusion powers on Korosensei to end the battle immediately.
Speaking of, Korosensei had a few of these tactics as well, most notably, the Stun Clap. However, because of Kamakura's apathy, it wouldn't be likely for Korosensei to get his wavelengths high enough to actually give off any effect of the clap. And while Korosensei could resist things like the Suicide video or the Despair video, as people like Chisa Yukizomi have done so before without being prodded, Kamakura has so many other techniques to deal with Korosensei through his music paralysis to the Hope Video to the illusion making fireworks.
But still, Korosensei has shown that he can deal with stronger, tougher and even faster opponents before, so why couldn't he win here?
Simply put, Korosensei defeats these sorts of opponents with his smarts and Izuru Kamakura had a lot more. From his Ultimate Detective and Analysis skills, he was generally better at thinking and analysis compared to Korosensei meaning that he could find at least some of Korosensei's weaknesses to take advantage of, meaning that Korosensei's weird anatomy couldn't help him here either. And Kamakura can take advantage of Korosensei's feelings with his vast knowlege of psychology being better than the Ultimate Neurologist.
Kamakura's also got more knowlege of weapons and fighting styles than Korosensei does, he can disguise his presence better than Korosensei with his Ultimate Secret Agent Techniques and he has a lot more illusion techniques. And if he ever has any other shortcomings, his Ultimate Luck can cover for it. So in short, Kamakura has nearly every advantage over Korosensei possible. But what does it matter if Kamakura couldn't keep up with Korosensei.
Ah yes. I knew I was forgetting the octopus in the room. Let's talk about Korosensei's speed. Korosensei has stated that his Max speed is Mach 20. However, we know that his reaction time is potentially higher. As an example, there was the fact that he was able to take an entire pot of stew and collect it via eyedropper and put it back in the bowl in the span of around a second where he was able to percieve time as frozen. Now, the anime could be inconsistent with the manga but, just in case, we'll use this calc to find his potential speed.
https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:Kaltias/Ren_gotta_go_fast
We know that when he was collecting the stew, he didn't move more than 2 m/s from one piece of stew to the pot and, we also know, from the scene before it, that this all happened in the span of at least a second so, plugging in gravity (9.8m/s^2) and applying it to the amount of time the transpired events happened (9.8 m/s^2 * 1 s => 9.8 m/s) and finally plugging it into everything else, 2m/s * (9.8/0.001) => we get that he moves around 19600 meters per second in this part or, Mach 57.5.
This is actually supported by the fact that he was able to keep up with the Mach 40 Reaper while keeping his students safe and being able to keep a bunch of their blood cells safe and intact to the point where he could save someone's life entirily by doing so.
But then we have Mukuro Ikusaba's Battle Trance. In Danganronpa IF, Mukuro was able to battle a bunch of Monobears while dodging military grade automated turrets. Now, in some translations, it's said that, in her battle trance, the air gets colder and isn't necessarily frozen so while I would love to use this calculation
https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:Muhammedmco/Danganronpa_-_Mukuro_Gotta_Go_Fast!
It wouldn't be fair to do so especially with the inconsistency between the english and japanese translation. But let's assume that the air, indeed, gets colder and doesn't freeze in her perception. She still dashed through the gaps of the bullets that go 890 m/s but let's say that her perception of this time was 1/10th of regular time or 100x faster than the perception of a snail. Let's also assume that she was running at an average human's speed (6.35m/s) then plugging it into the formula, 6.35*(890/0.1)=> We get that she moves at 56515 m/s or around Mach 166. About 3 times faster of reaction time than Korosensei. And we know that Kamakura could be faster and stronger than Mukuro even in her Battle Trance.
So... what you're saying is that while Korosensei's regular speed was incredibly fast and Kamakura couldn't keep up with it, He could react faster than Korosensei?
Yep. That's about it. In summary, while Korosensei's weird body and incredible movement speeds were impressive, Kamakura's general durability, attack potency, knowlege and reaction speed overpowered Korosensei
Looks like he should've Koro-seen it Kamak-oming.
The winner is Izuru Kamakura.
