Intro[]
Wiz: The taunting of money and greed can almost make any one a greedy person, change there personality for the worst
Boomstick: I would have fallen for that sweet taste of those dollar dollar bills. Come on admit it, you would too. I mean Emeralds and Gold can sell for a insane amount of money
Wiz: Though some have resisted the urge to focus on there number one goal
Boomstick: Some have even used the gems for heroic reasons. Which one of these Heroic treasure Hunters would win
Wiz: Like Knuckles the Echidna, he protects the Master Emerald that keeps Angel island afloat in SEGAs Sonic the Hedgehog.
Boomstick: Or Shovel Knight, the warrior in blue on a heroic quest to saved his beloved Shield Knight, In Yacht Club Games Shovel Knight Treasure Trove
Wiz: We're gonna analyze these combatants' weapons, gadgets, and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle!
Knuckles Burst in to DEATH BATTLE[]
Boomstick: You can call him Knuckles, unlike Sonic he don't chuckle he'd rather flex his muscles and he's hard as nails
Wiz: Shut up Boomstick
Boomstick: What? Unlike Sonic he tries to take his job way more seriously.
Wiz: Mmm... guess your right, Knuckles main goal in life/ or his job. Is to protect the Master Emerald
Boomstick: That Emerald is the only thing keeping Angel Island afloat. Without it the whole island would drop out of the air.
Wiz: Theres many people who want this Emerald, most notably, Dr.Eggman
Boomstick: Like Eggman tries to steal this thing a lot! Like every other few days it seems
Wiz: So of course the Emerald needed a protector
Boomstick: So the last of the Echidna race, Knuckles, stood up to protect this gem.
Wiz: Of course since it gets taken a lot by robots made by Dr.Eggman. He needs to keep constant eyes on the gem
Boomstick: So he sleep, eats, and breaths near that rock 24/7
Feats (Only using modern Knuckles and Anything that isnt an Outlier to Modern Knuckles)[]
Wiz: Knuckles, giving his name, Is strong.
Boomstick: And Strongheaded *Chuckles a little*
Wiz: Knuckles Is strong enough to break down U.S security door with the help of Rouge the Bat
Boomstick: He shows time and time again that he can break rocks with ease. By doing this he can dig through the ground dodging incoming attacks
Wiz: He can punch so hard it triggers small volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. Meaning that he can punch hard enough to move tectonic plates underground. To make a Plate underground move Knuckles must have punched with 20 megatons of TnT. Possibly more
Boomstick: Hes Durable enough to take hits from astroids and multiple of Eggmans machines which your built to beat Sonic.
Wiz: Sonic and him a similar in durability, but when it comes to speed sonic is much faster than the red echidna.
Boomstick: Mind you this doesnt make him slow in any means, he can keep up to the tornado that can go up to mach 10
Wiz: And react to Sonic who is only slightly slower than light.
Boomstick: Though never shown, this means that Knuckles can easily dodge lightning
Wiz: But you know what they say. The stronger they are the harder they fall. Knuckles has a decent amount of flaws
Boomstick: To start, hes pretty dumb. Even more dimwitted then Sonic or Amy
Wiz: And this plays into his anger. Knuckles anger has gotten him into massive trouble before. Even people that are weaker than Knuckles have been able to beat him thanks to him being predictable and easy to catch of guard
Boomstick: Doesn't help that he's also very gullible. Making him a easy target to fool
Ability's and Gadgets[]
Boomstick: One of Knuckles main abilities is Super Knuckles
Wiz: Thats incorrect Boomstick
Boomstick: What, I know that that we arent using classic Knuckles but Modern Knuckles has went super too. Like he did in Sonic Heros
Wiz: Well true he has went Super before, the only reason he could was help by Sonic. Modern Knuckles has never went super on his own
Boomstick: Wait so Knuckles Cant go Super without Sonic
Wiz: Yes, and do to that we cant include it in this battle
Boomstick: Dang... Well Knuckles still has some other abilities that he doesnt need super to use, though it would be cooler if he could
Wiz: Like we said before he can dig under the ground at insane speeds
Boomstick: He can Glide through the air, and Climb walls with ease
Wiz: If he punches hard enough his hands will ignite on fire
Boomstick: Though not as Agile as other Sonic characters he makes that up with his incredible strength
Wiz: And compared to other Sonic characters he has a lot more movement options the just running
Boomstick: Knuckles is the last of his race, but can he beat Shovel Knight in this Race
Wiz: That made barely any sense
Shovel Knight Digs into DEATH BATTLE[]
Wiz: The kingdom was once at peace, until darkness filled the land
Boomstick: The Enchantress, along with the order of no quarter. Would take over the land
Wiz: And in the Tower of fate, was trapped, the armored shield knight awaits in that tower. Waiting for her partner
Boomstick: That Partner Is the Unorthadox Warrior, Shovel Knight
Wiz: Shovel Knight, unlike most warriors. Carries a Shovel around as a weapon.
Boomstick: Hence the name
Wiz: The Shovel of course is used for Digging. But also attacking
Boomstick: And also movement. The Shovel lets him Pogo like Scrooge Mcduck
Wiz: With this Shovel he goes on a journey to save Shield Knight, and the Kingdom
Boomstick: To do this, he will have to beat every member of the Order of No Quarter, plus the evil Enchantress
Feats[]
Wiz: Shovel Knight and his Shovel can lift just about anything
Boomstick: Including Bugs, skeletons, bigger skeletons, even a skull made of pure gold
Wiz: Shovel knight has shown multiple times is ability to lift heavy rocks with his Shovel
Boomstick: These arent any normal rocks either. They are filled with heavy gems and stones
Wiz: With his strength, he also has tons of skills from a long history of fighting
Boomstick: With these fighting skills, he can take down any unwanted Knight who steps his way
Wiz: This includes the Battletoads and Kratos
Boomstick: If you dont know Kratos, Fights gods and such all the time
Wiz: And Shovel Knight went head on against Kratos and won
Boomstick: According to God of War director Cory Barlog, Kratos' appearance in Shovel Knight is considered canon in the God of War lore.
Wiz: Along with being able to damage Kratos and the Battletoads, he can also take hits from both groups
Boomstick: That Armor must be very strong, he never takes it off
Wiz: Shovel Knight is also pretty fast
Boomstick: Hes faster than King knight who can dodge lasers
Wiz: Remember, he can also dodge attacks from Kratos and the Battletoads
Gadgets[]
Boomstick: Shovel Knight has a ton of gadgets known as Relics.
Wiz: We will start with the Flare Wand
Boomstick: This relic shoots a fireball that explodes on impact
Wiz: He also has a Phase Locket
Boomstick: It makes him slightly transparent so he can move through attacks like a ghost
Wiz: He has giant Knuckles that he can wear called Dust Knuckles. He can punch Harder than he could before
Boomstick: He can throw an Anchor, Death from above and Below
Wiz: He can ride a Mobile Gear that spins around and runs over people
Boomstick: Like a Mini-Monster Truck
Wiz: He can blow into into his War Horn and launch his foes backward
Boomstick: He has A propeller Sword, he can joust enemys with and even fly with
Wiz: A Fishing Rod, weirdly good for fighting
Boomstick: He has Chaos Sphere, they are basically deadly Bouncy Ball
Wiz: But all these relics, cost mana
Boomstick: Without Mana, Shovel Knight wont be able to use his relics
Wiz: Shovel Knight is a Noble and Loyal hero
Boomstick: But can he DUST up Knuckles
Pre-Fight[]
Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all!
Boomstick: Its Time for a DEATH BATTLE
We see Angel Island floating in the air, we zoom into it to see Shovel Knight Cutting through the thick wilderness. He hears a russle in the grass behind him, he turns around but nothings there.
He Continues to walk forward, as he pogo-jumps of a slight cliff off a rock and lands dramatically. He Looks up to see a glow behind the bushy wilderness. He chops through the Bushes with ease. He sees the MASTER EMERALD, sitting in all of its glory. Hes about to touch it when he hears a louder russle behind him. Birds on the bushes fly off into the distance.
"Who goes there" Says Shovel Knight ina stern yet pixelated tone
Complete Silence
Shovel Knight Turns his back and puts his Shovel under the Emerald, about to lift it when.
BAM
Knuckles comes out of the Bushes and bashes Shovel Knight knocking him away
"Who are thee" Says Shovel Knight In the same tone, not phased by the punch.
"Thats my business to know, your business is to back off" says Knuckles, kinda hot headed
"Mmm... I must warn you, Im deadly in combat" Says Shovel Knight, hoping Knuckles will walk away
"Prove it" chuckles the Red Echidna
Shovel Knight lifts his Shovel from off the ground and lets out a deep sigh, Knuckles punches his fist to gather.
"Very well then"
FIGHT
DEATH BATTLE[]
Both Fighters charge at eachother. Shovel Knight Swings over handedly but Knuckles goes right behind Shovel Knight and hits him hard. knocking him into some rocks.
"*Grunts*, Faster...Then I expected" Shovel Knight says in between breaths from Whiplash.
"WATCH OUT" Yells Knuckles as he throws a tree at the Knight. Shovel Knight thinks quickly and lifts up the rubble chunks from the huge rock he blasted into. He throws it at the incoming tree and the blast causes dust to fly everywhere, making it harder to see. knuckles stays still careful not to make any noise.
BUM, rattles Shovel Knights Shovel as Knuckles gets launched in the air. Shovel Knight Pogos on Knuckles as he gets knocked forwards and forwards. Just as Shovel Knights about to finish the combo with a swing. Knuckles grabs the end of the Shovel with two hands. He spins around and throws Shovel Knight into a pretty flower field. Shovel Knight Bounces forward but he gains footing after a bit.
Shovel Knight prepares himself for a attack by guarding himself with his Shovel. Knuckles comes in as quick as cheetah and as powerful as Bulldozer. His hands on fire as he makes contact with with the Shovel blasting him even further back. Shovel Knight keeps his feet on the floor the entire time and once he comes to a sudden stop he points at Knuckles with his Shovel.
"One last warning, Do you really want this to get out of hand" Yells Shovel Knight
"If you think you can still win...sure, Im up to the challenge" Says Knuckles, as smoke comes off his fist
"Alright, you asked for this" Says Shovel Knight as he slowly walks forward
"This might be fun" Says Knuckles as he walks forward too. Theres a moment of silence once they get into range of the other.
Knuckles ruins the silence trying to get in a quick uppercut. But somehow Shovel knight dodges it
"Huh" Knuckles says, a little shocked. Shovel Knight hits Knuckles over the head burying him into the ground. As he's stuck He pogos on his head a few times. Knuckles then digs deep into the ground as Shovel knight is still pogoing, he cant stop himself in time and he falls into the pit
"Catch me if you can!" Yells Knuckles
Shovel Knight lands on his feet. He seems to have landed in a underground mineshaft.
"Where did thy go" Whispers Shovel Knight to himself. He looks behind him to see 4 large minecarts coming at him trough the air. He jumps off one and breaks the the other two, but the last one hits him. Breaking the cart and dropping Shovel Knight to the Floor.
"think fast" Yells Knuckles, his voice echoing throughout the shaft as he hits a wooded piller holding the rusty rails up. The structure shakes and falls about to land on Shovel Knight until he blows his horn, launching the pieces away. Shovel Knight doesnt have too much time to think as knuckles deals a powerful flaming uppercut that launches him and Shovel Knight strait out of the Mineshaft and into the forest after busting through the ground.
"Im gonna end this!" Knuckles yells
Shovel Knight looks heroicly and pulls out his Shovel. They block eachothers hits multiple times until Knuckles knocks away Shovel Knights Shovel
Knuckles grins and winds up quickly for a deadly blast of a jab until Its countered by Shovel Knights Dust Knuckle. The Dust Knuckle cracks alittle and Knuckles looks up with a shocked face. Before he can even think of what to do Shovel Knight punches him hard Against a tree and pulls out his flare wand. He launches a fireball and it seems to make contact as it blows up leaving smoke were Knuckles was.
"Finally, Its over" Says Shovel Knight calmly as he picks up his Shovel that was lodge in a tree stump
"This aint over yet" Says Knuckles
Shovel Knight Looks behind him to see Knuckles in a bubble shield
"Its Time I ended this" Says Knuckles
"Id like to see yo-" Shovel Knight gets cut off as Knuckles moves quick and hits him with a powerful flaming uppercut. Launching high above the Cloud and glides higher than Shovel Knight and begins to pile drive downward. Shovel Knight throws everything at him. His Chaos Balls bounce off him, the flare is dodged, The Mobile Gear breaks once contact It made. Knuckles finally makes contact with Shovel Knight and they start to drop like a raging meteor. They Hit the ground and A Eruption slightly smaller than the mountain besides it happens, made from pure fire.
The smoke clears after a few seconds to see a weaken Knuckles drop to his knees.
"Game...Over" he manages to get out.
We then hear a decloaking noise, Knuckles looks behind him in total shock to see Shovel behind him. He used the phase locket to barely manage to survive, but hes also badly injured and his armor is roughed up.
"Lets settle this like gentlemen" Shovel Knight says
Knuckles shock turns to a slight grin as they walk toward eachother. They through out punch after blow, neither managing to get a powerful hit off. Its hard for them to swing with much power as there both badly bruised.
Knuckles gains the strength to make a dash following up with a uppercut. But he gets stopped as Shovel Knight grabs his face with the Dust Knuckles. He holds his shovel over head in his other arm. The spade pointing to knuckles
"Thy talk to much, allow me to fix that" Says Shovel Knight, Knuckles voice is muffled from the Dust Knuckles palm, hes to weak to escape the grasp and with one deep breath from Shovel Knight... He stabs him with his Shovel right through the head

Shovel Knight lets go of Knuckles right in front of the Master Emerald, he digs him a grave and puts him in, He covers it up and out of respect he leaves his shovel in the ground right on top of the grave with "Here lies the Echidna warrior, never got thy's name"
He goes to the end of Angel Island to watch the sun set as a single tear drops from his helmet

Wiz: Are you crying?
Boomstick: WHAT! of course not... I mean, are you crying
Wiz: Whatever, its time for the results Boomstick
Boomstick: Oh yeah, How the hell Shovel Knight win
Wiz: Well as expected, Knuckles was faster
Boomstick: He can battle sonic the hedgehog and even keep up to him.
Wiz: But Shovel Knight is actually stronger and more durable then Knuckles
Boomstick: Remember that Kratos guy
Wiz: Well he goes toe to toe with greek gods
Boomstick: A version of him can even flip over the Temple of Týr. A place that holds different universes to travel through.
Wiz: Shovel Knight can fight and beat him. Kratos has a lot of fighting experience to. Making Shovel Knight have more fighting skill then Knuckles
Boomstick: Not to mention that Knuckles was a lot more limited then Shovel Knight. Most of his abilities are Short range punches. While Shovel Knight has good amount of close and ranged abilities. though Knuckles is better at close range then Shovel Knight
Wiz: Knuckles hot headed personality would make it very hard for him to fight against the cool headed Shovel Knight
Boomstick: Even his speed couldnt save him
Wiz: He can outrun King Knight, who can dodge lasers, and Kratos who can react to Lightning. Overall, Shovel Knight should be able to outclass Knuckles
Boomstick: Though Knuckles can dig without a Shovel, he cant beat one
