Description[]

Kirby vs. Nier. These two round little beings were created for battle.

Introduction[]

Boomstick: In my experience, whenever you want to identify a potential planet destroyer, you just take stock of their appearance. You want to look more a menacing, often awe-inspiring appearance.

Wiz: So you can imagine the surprise when said planet destroyer is just little more than a little round thing. Like Kirby, the Star Warrior.

Boomstick: And Emil, AKA Number 7. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.

Kirby[]

Wiz: Long ago, a great war was waged between the Star Warrior legions and the villainous Nightmare that spanned the entire galaxy.

Boomstick: Given that Nightmare got sealed away with a magic wand or something you can make the guess that the Star Warriors won, but with how few there were left you can also make the guess their victor didn't come without a cost. Man, for such a cutesy looking series, that got dark rather quickly.

Wiz: Indeed. In fact many installments of the series hold hidden stories to be uncovered. But back on topic. After the war, several Star Warriors remained. One of whom hadn't even seen the war at all.

Boomstick: And his name was Kirby, a legendary knight in shining armor.

Wiz: Actually, he's a tiny pink ball.

Boomstick: What!? That's Kirby!

Wiz: Yep.

Boomstick: The Star Warrior?

Wiz: Ooh yes.

Boomstick: But he's so...Pink!

Wiz: Indeed.

  • Background
    • Age: 9
    • Height: 8 inches
    • Star Warrior
    • Lives on Planet Popstar
    • Loves food
    • Possibly the main character of Smash Bros

Boomstick: Damn. Lame. Well, guess I should have seen this coming, what with the appearance of the other Star Warriors. Even the luchador Meta Knight looks cute underneath his mask.

Wiz: Kirby spent the majority of his incubation period within his spaceship, until it crashed down onto the Planet Popstar.

Popup: It's possible that Kirby is an incarnation of Void Termina, based on one of its core's many appearances.

Boomstick: Since Kirby didn't stay in his ship long enough, he emerged with the mentality of a child, or a man who just spent an entire salary on booze stumbling out of a bar. And like any child, he came out with a massive appetite.

Wiz: That's an understatement to say the least. In fact, the other inhabitants of Popstar quickly learned just how much of a glutton Kirby really was.

Boomstick: He doesn't just gorge his food; he sucks it in. Literally. With a single deep inhale, he can draw anything into his waiting maw, but it food - or a living being!

  • Powers and Abilities
    • Inhale
    • Star Spit
    • Float
    • Air Bullet
    • Warp Star Summon
    • Copy Abilities
      • Sword
      • Fighter
      • Wheel
      • Battle Kirby
      • Ninja
      • Bomb
      • Fire
      • Archer
      • ESP
      • Hypernova
      • And more!

Wiz: Easily Kirby's most famous ability, this has three uses to the pink puffball; one, he can spit them back out as stars. Two, he can simply swallow them into nothingness. Or three, and this is if they qualify, he can copy their abilities for himself.

Boomstick: There are so many options for him it'd be impossible for us to list or outline them all, so let's just stick with the most notable, and some of our personal favorites whilst we're at it.

Wiz: First and foremost, there's the Sword ability, which arms Kirby with said weapon to slash his enemies with stylish swipes.

Boomstick: It even lets him fire two different kinds of beams; one happens when he's at full health, and another is when he announces he Has the Power by holding it in the air to charge the blade up to unleash a slash of energy.

Wiz: Other weapon-based abilities of Kirby include the Archer, perfect for firing precise yet powerful shots through the air, and the Spear for long-ranged jabbing.

Boomstick: He also has bombs and a deadly microphone to shout out with powerful waves of sound.

Wiz: Kirby is also capable of taking on a number of different elemental based Abilities, which consist of Fire, Water, Ice, and even Leaf and Poison.

Boomstick: He can even become another person's occupation by swallowing the right enemy. For example, there's the Doctor Ability, which makes use of pills and bandages, the Ninja, which can cling to walls, use smokescreens and attacks with sword strokes and throwing knives, and the ESP, which turns him into a Ness-expy with the ability to teleport and summon an orb of energy to harm foes.

Wiz: There are dozens more we could list, such as one of my favorites the Beetle, but there's one that easily outranks them all; the Hypernova.

Boomstick: If you thought Kirby has a voracious appetite before, then you haven't seen nothing yet, because he turns into a literal black hole. Mini-bosses, the environment, raw energy, even health bars are no match for this vacuum.

Wiz: Ironic, considering that real life Hypernovas eject matter rather than draw it in.

Boomstick: Oh who cares about scientific inaccuracies when Kirby can essentially copy any ability he wants. Even suped-up abilities like the Ultra Sword or Grand Hammer. And sometimes he doesn't even need to swallow an enemy to get them, because there's an entire storage dimension inside of him, perfect for allowing him to get any ability he needs.

Popup: Kirby has also had access to unique abilities, such as when he was turned into Yarn and obtained a Robobot.

Wiz: Speaking of which, Kirby is also able to call upon the Warp Star for faster-than-light travel.

Boomstick: How does he call upon it? Why, with a phone of course, because nowadays you can order whatever you want from Amazon. Seriously, it's amazing just what they have in stock. Although I never saw any Warp Stars on their website, so maybe Kirby is a Prime member. Oh, and Kirby can fly as well. Just quickly mention that.

  • Feats
    • Sucked in a giant laser beam with Hypernova
    • Threw a monster around the sun
    • Can crack the Planet Popstar in half
    • Pilots the faster-than-light Warp Star
    • Survived Queen Sectonia exploding
    • Can turn back from being turned into something else
    • Defeated King Dedede, Nightmare, Magalor, Void Termina

Wiz: With all that power at his stubby little hands, Kirby certainly lives up to his role as a Star Warrior, having battled against all manner of foes. Like Nightmare, the ancient enemies of the Star Warriors, Megalor, who was being powered by a wish-granting crown and the Evil Queen Sectonia.

Boomstick: Sectonia ended up going boom after her fight with Kirby, and it was big enough to cover the surface area of Popstar.

Wiz: We know that Popstar is the same size as Earth because we can directly compare it to Shiverstar, which is clearly based on a frozen-over Earth. Speaking of Popstar, Kirby was able to crack it down the middle with nothing more than a well-timed punch.

Boomstick: Holy crap!

Wiz: What's more, the manga takes things one step further and have Kirby completely destroy Popstar.

Boomstick: Kirby doesn't stop at being strong or durable either; he's also incredibly fast. And heck, he'd have to be in order to pilot the Warp Star.

Wiz: The fastest known speed the Star Warp demonstrated was to go over 196 quadrillion times the speed of light (Eficiente).

Boomstick: Sure it was summoned by Three Sisters, but the fact it was at those speeds means that they could be reachable again, especially since Kirby and co. took it back the way it had came.

Wiz: But Kirby has a few drawbacks to himself. Mainly, that he still has the mentality of a child. This has actually led to him often creating the problems he solves.

Boomstick: Plus he always has food on the mind so that can get in the way some of the time.

Wiz: Still, the Planet Popstar and the larger universe all owe their continued existences to this pink powerful puffball.

Emil[]

Wiz: Before Nier Automata, before even Nier, a great tragedy ravaged the human race.

Boomstick: Long ago, there was a massive battle between two beings; the Dragon and the Giant, which sounds like a Biblical metaphor to me.

Wiz: Not surprising, because the aftermath of said battle had the effect of replicating a Biblical event. Upon the Giant's death, its body collapsed into an otherworldly substance known as Maso, with, upon coming into contact with a human, would turn their entire body into salt.

Boomstick: Yikes! Imagine if your last words were saying "Someone pass the salt", and them, BAM, you become the salt. The salty irony.

Wiz: And with the deaths of humans came the rise of the monstrous Legions, who targeted what little remnants of humanity where left. Desperate to save the human race, various projects were initiated to try and come up with a solution.

Boomstick: We already known about one of them, Project Gestalt, which was all about removing the souls of humans or something, but there was also one headed by the National Weapons Laboratory, who had the idea of get straight up eradicating the Legions.

Wiz: The fruits of their labor took the form of several artificially altered human children, one of whom they called Number 7. But he was better known as Emil.

  • Background
    • Age: About 9900 years
    • Height: 4'3
    • AKA No. 7
    • Altered human
    • Member of Nier's party
    • Became a salesmen to Androids

Boomstick: Thanks to the experiments that the National Weapons Labs did on Emil, he ended up being gifted with a Medusa-like power; the ability to turn people to stone through eye-contact.

Wiz: Actually it was a bit different, as Emil just needed to look at a person in order to petrify them.

Boomstick: So those crackpot scientists made a kid capable of turning people to stone in a world where people were already turning into salt. Nice job fellas.

Wiz: Mindful of just how dangerous his ability was, Emil secluded himself from the world within a mansion built over the entrance to the NWL labs, wearing a blindfold at all times to ensure that nobody would end up turned into stone by him. There, he remained, until a travel group of warriors happened upon his manor, led by a man named Nier, searching for a means of saving his daughter's life. Or sometimes it's a brother looking to save his sister. Either way, Emil joined the party to help out however he could.

Boomstick: Too bad it came in the form of having to turn another member of the party, Kaine, into stone to stop her evil side consuming her. That was when Emil descended back into his old home in order to obtain the power to undo Kaine's petrified state.

Wiz: To do this, Emil fused with his twin sister's weapon form, taking on a similar appearance himself and allowing him to undo Kaine's petrification.

Boomstick: And from there, Emil gained two new things; one, a head usable for a meme, and two, a whole load of new powers to replace that pesky stony stare of his.

  • Powers and Abilities
    • Magic
    • Healing
    • Flight
    • Eye Lasers
    • Energy Orbs
    • Self-Destruction
    • Replication
      • Can create and control copies of himself
      • Each one has the same abilities

Wiz: Primarily, Emil gained the ability to wield powerful magic, either for offensive or healing purposes.

Boomstick: And when we talk about offensive we mean offensive. He can fire entire swarms of orbs that look like his own head or unleash laser blasts from his eyes. And because they're magical in nature, they can hurt you not matter how tough you are!

Wiz: And in the far future, Emil revealed he had another ability to his name. Turns out, he was able to replicate his own form.

Popup: Although the ability to fire laser beams and orbs was shown only by the copies, Emil himself should still be capable of the same thing as they are direct clones of himself.

Boomstick: Wow really? How many? Five, six...seven?! You know, because he's called Number 7.

Wiz: Well, one recorded number was over 83 million copies.

Boomstick: Wow!

Wiz: And that was only at the year 5112. As thousands of other years passed after this point, then the number of Emil clones would have reached nearly 6 billion.

Boomstick: On top of that, not all of them were the same size of Emil either, because some of them where half the size of those Engel machines. Oh, and he and all his copies can also fly. Man, with all the abilities of both combatants, their skills of flight seems rather lackluster in comparison.

  • Feats
    • Destroyed the Aerie
    • Survived sacrificing himself
    • Created millions of clones
    • Kept pace with Androids
    • Survived all 15 machine wars
    • Self-destruct can wipe out all life on Earth
    • Helped defeat Grimoire Rubrum, Gretel, Number 6, Wendy

Wiz: Indeed, especially considering Emil's skills of fight.

Boomstick: Wiz, you know what we talked about; put a penny in the bad pun jar.

Wiz: Guh.

CLINK

Boomstick: Thank you. But yeah, in all seriousness, Emil may possess the personality of a shy child, but he's shown himself to be one powerful player, like the time he ended up destroying an entire area described as being the size of a town. That would take 10 kilotons of TNT to pull off.

Wiz: That's nothing. Emil also possesses the ability to self-destruct himself and all his clones. In fact, their combined power is enough to completely eradicate all life on Earth.

Boomstick: He's even survived one of his own self-destructs. How? We don't know, but he survived it all the same, although only his head was left. But as we've already mentioned, that's all he needed to produce entire legions of himself to battle against the Machines sent by Aliens and the Androids that fought them as well.

Wiz: The same Androids, like A2, which could pilot and battle their own Mach 40,000 Flight Units (DaFritzi).

Boomstick: Sadly, in spite of all his incredible abilities, Emil's life was far from filled with any earned happiness.

Wiz: Even his repeatedly cloning of himself to stave off the Machine-Alien invasion didn't truly bear any fruit, especially as each clone of himself had less relocation of his memories and identity. Even though he would have may some impact in one of the 15 Machine Wars, in the end he ended up washed up and without his memories.

Boomstick: In the end, he did what any shell-shocked veteran of war did; sell crap out of the back of his car.

Wiz: Boomstick! Too soon.

Boomstick: Sorry. Still, Emil has shown that as a young boy, living weapon or a disembodied head, he's still an opponent not to be underestimated.

Interlude[]

Wiz: Alright the combatants are set, time to end this debate once and for all.

Boomstick: It's time for a Death Battle!

The Battle[]

Emil rode his wagon through the ruined and abandoned city, humming a cheerful tune as he did. But as he hummed, he failed to realize that his driving speed was beginning to slow until he had come to a complete stop, at which point he finally heard a sucking noise behind him.

Emil: What the-?

He looked behind himself to see a small pink thing behind him, Kirby, sucking him in with a powerful inhale. To Emil's dismay, several items of food came loose from the back of his cart and flew into Kirby's mouth, disappearing down the vacuum.

Emil: Hey! That's stealing!

Kirby finally took notice of Emil's annoyed shouts and clamped his mouth shut, letting Emil drive his cart around to face him. With a "Hup", Emil bounced his lone head out of the wagon to land in front of Kirby.

Emil: I'm sorry, but nobody steals from me and gets away with it!

Kirby frowned at the declaration and took a fighting pose.

Kirby: Hiya!

FIGHT!

Kirby's expression fell when Emil levitated up in front of him, his eyes glowing red. Recognizing the tell-tail sighs of an attack, Kirby turned and ran as the laser beams shot from Emil's eyes, scorching the ground behind Kirby as he attempted to outrun Emil's pursuit of him. As he chased after Kirby, Emil used his laser eyes to herd the panicked Kirby towards the front wall of an abandoned building, intending to trap him. And he nearly did until Kirby jumped into the air and took in a breath, allowing him to quickly float upwards. Emil quickly swept the beam upwards after Kirby, burning a line into the wall in the process, but was unable to hit Kirby before he floated in from of him and struck him with an Air Bullet, knocking Emil backwards to back to the ground. As soon as Kirby himself landed in front of Emil, he fired out another eye laser, which Kirby ducked under before performing a Slide Kick into Emil, sending him spinning backwards. Emil was able to re-right himself and float back into the air, firing off another couple of eye lasers. Kirby dodged the side of each one, but as as jumped up avoid a forth, Emil quickly fired a fifth was struck the Star Warrior dead in the face, sending him flying backwards, his face smoldering. Landing on his rump, Kirby shook his head/body to dispel the smoke and his burned face and looked to see Emil looking down at him, before his eyes glowed red once more and he fired another laser beam. It appeared to directly strike Kirby, but the instant, Emil shut the blast off, Kirby was revealed to have taken on his Umbrella form by accessing the power-up from the dimension within himself, using said item to block the blast. Kirby fixed Emil with a defiant glare before switching the Umbrella out for his Sword, leaping at his opponent with a squeaky yell. Emil dodged the slash Kirby delivered with his sword, yelping in the process, and then the series of others that Kirby performed. Amidst his rapid slashes, Kirby charged himself up before unleashing a slashing spin; although this just barely nicked Emil, it was enough to draw him into the spin, slashing him numerous times before sending him flying out. Emil hit the ground whilst Kirby held his sword in the air, charging it with energy before slashing it to fire out an energy slash. Emil recovered fast enough to roll to the side as the energy cut sliced slightly into the ground, but Kirby followed up the missed attack by leaping into the air and stabbing downwards with his sword.

Emil: Not so fast!

Emil suddenly generated a blast of magical energy from around himself, which struck Kirby and sent him flying backwards, canceling out his sword ability in the process. Emil levitated himself into the air and fired out a barrage of orbs with his face on it. Kirby got back to his feet and activated his Spark Copy Ability, channeling a shield of electricity around himself that the orbs canceled out against. As soon as the barrage subsided, Kirby leapt into the air and fired out an orb of electricity. Although it directly struck Emil and temporarily sent the electricity coursing through his veins, he used his healing magic to reverse the damage and effect of the attack before zooming forward to slam himself straight into Kirby's face, sending the de-powered Star Warrior stumbling back, dazed from the attack. Emil then collided himself numerous times against Kirby, eventually knocking him onto his back, before he flew upwards and dashed down at his opponent. But he suddenly yelled in surprise and darted in his flight to the side at Kirby equipped his Needle Ability to extended a spike upwards to try and skewer No. 7. As a result of dodging, Emil ended up directly in front of Kirby, who then switched out Needle for Hammer and struck him with a downwards swing of said weapon, smashing Emil's head/body to pieces.

Kirby titled his head in surprise at the easiness he has crushed his opponent, before deciding to take his usual victory pose...

Kirby: Pi-

...just before Emil's truck slammed straight into him, leaving behind the star representing the Hammer ability behind where he has been a moment before it shattered. Pinning to the front of the vehicle, Kirby looked up and gaped at seeing another Emil driving the wagon. Accelerating the vehicle, Emil drove it straight through the bottom level of a building, emerging from the other side with Kirby now removed from the front of the vehicle due to the collisions and rolling about the ground as Emil circled back around and drove back towards the Star Warrior, intending to run him down. Kirby, however, drew out a phone from behind himself and in accordance, the Warp Star zoomed out the sky and scooped him up before Emil could collide with him, smashing back through the same building as before in the process. Emerging into the other side, Emil turned around to see Kirby flying after him on the Warp Star, activating his Archer Ability in the process. With a quick tug on the bow string, Kirby fired an arrow the lodged directly besides Emil on his place on his vehicle, and he drove the cart forward in an attempt to escape Kirby, but was unable to prevent his car from being peppered with numerous arrows, including a charged shot to the back of the vehicle that caused it to buck forward slightly, sending more items flying loose.

Emil: Okay, that's it!

Emil turned about and fired an entire barrage of energy orbs. Kirby was too late to react and was engulfed by the attack, the Warp Star falling to the orbs and exploding.

Emil: Phew! That goodness.

Suddenly, a Beetle-equipped Kirby shot down through the air and smashed directly into the front of Emil's cart, sending the guy in question flying forwards with a yell of surprise, crashing onto the ground. Kirby pulled himself out of the wreckage of the vehicle he had destroyed and charged at Emil, his Beetle horn poised for a deadly strike. This, however, was intercepted by something else; another copy of Emil. Kirby's eyes widened just before the Emil copy self-destructed, removing the Beetle transforming and leaving him in a smoking crater. Kirby pulled himself out and looked up as numerous circular shadows fell over him; an entire swarm of floating Emil copies. Kirby only had time to blink before they all suddenly shot towards him, converging on his position and completely smothering him, remaining there before they all self-destructed, throwing up a massive fireball. Emil watched on, before a electronic fizzing sound drew his attention; turning his body, he saw Kirby now wearing a cap standing behind him, now in his ESP form, having transformed and teleported out of danger before the Emil had exploded. Now Kirby summoned an orb of psychic energy and sent it straight towards Emil. Emil generated a field of magic around himself, resulting in it and Kirby's orb grinding together, pushing Emil back a great distance as Kirby attempted to breach Emil's defenses.

Eventually, Kirby's orb reached its limit and exploded, sending Emil skidding back several steps in the already impressively sized distance between him and Kirby. Emil looked back at Kirby over the distance before concentrating intensely. From all around him, copies of himself flew towards him, surrounding him in a blanket of their forms. Kirby looked on at Emil's feat and stood his ground, even as they all began flying towards him, and he calmly activated his Fighter Ability.

As soon as the first Emil came in range, Kirby punched it away before whipping around and delivering a barrage of punches to another. He then leaped into the air and delivered a drop kick to another clone. Upon landing, he charged up a Giga Force Blast and fired it to take out another three Emil. Kirby then got hit with an energy orb but quickly equipped a Spear, jabbing it out to take out another couple of clones before throwing three spears to skewer the according number of clones. Kirby then spun the spear above of himself to lift himself up into the air, taking out several aerial clones in the process before slamming/stabbing downwards with the Spear. As more Emil came at him, Kirby switched out for the Bell ability, shaking the instruments to generate golden sound waves to take them out before hurling them in the opposite direction to eliminate another couple of clones. Next, Kirby used Whip to snag one of the Emil clones, lift it up and slam it twice into the ground, taking out some more of its brethren in the process before lashing out with the whip to deal away with some more. Kirby then activated Cutter, delivering a series of slashes to one extra large Emil that lifted himself up into the air, before he landed and started hurling multiple boomeranging blades that sliced apart several Emil converging at him from all directions. Suddenly, another Emil slammed straight into Kirby, sending him skidding backwards several steps and costing him the Cutter ability. As he skidded backwards, Kirby activated Bomb and placed an according explosive device on an Emil he passed, letting it explode to take out both it and the other Emil that had slammed into him. His skidding coming to a stop, Kirby began hurling bombs all about him to take out numerous Emil clusters, but when a large enough number got too close for comfort, Kirby switched out Bomb for Crash and unleashed an omnidirectional explosion to take out a great score of them. However, more continued to come at Kirby, so he activated Circus and somersaulted back and forth to take out several other Emil, before blowing up a balloon to use the pop to knock back several others. Kirby then equipped Beam and fired out a series of sparks that took out more Emil, before grabbing one of them and firing a cluster of sparks directly into its face, sending it into more of its kin. As another couple of Emil came at him, Kirby accessed his Ice ability and stated forward, breathing out frost that froze each of them, and upon coming to the last one, Kirby kicked it so that it flew forward and smashed through the other frozen Emil. And as more Emil came at him, Kirby used his Mike ability, unleashing a single yell to blast all of them away.

Having dealt with all the closest Emil clones, Kirby then activated Wheel and started driving towards the main Emil, plowing through several clones in the process. Emil watched as Kirby got closer.

Emil: Wow, you're really not giving up are you? Fine then!

The ground around Emil shook and from it rose up several massive Emil clones. One by one, they slammed down into the ground, sending out shockwaves towards Kirby, who, still in his wheel mode, jumped over the shockwaves. Seeing their attack fail, the large Emil copies bound themselves together in a centipede-like configuration and charged/floated forward at Kirby; the front one's eyes turned red and laser beams fired towards the rapidly approaching Kirby. Just before the laser hit him, Kirby jumped upwards and switched out Wheel for Ultra Sword; with his first swing, he cut straight through the first Emil. With another, the second giant Emil clone fell in two. Five more times Kirby swung his massive swords, until the entire segment of Emil clones was dealt with and the main Emil was now exposed for Kirby to give his giant sword a little twirl and slash down at him.

The single slash cut Emil in half, whilst also sending a massive crack along the ground. Kirby landed and observed the two halves of Emil. He breathed out in relief and was about to perform a victory dance when;

Emil: A-hem!

Kirby turned around, and his jaw dropped when he saw millions upon millions of Emil clones floating in the air above him, and they all spoke as one.

Emil: If it takes all of my copies to bring you down, then so be it!

All the clones of Emil faced Kirby and blasted out swarms of energy orbs each, engulfing the Star Warrior and bombarding him non-stop. Kirby wailed as he was essentially smothered by the orbs before it was capped off by a half-Engel sized Emil firing a massive laser beam that directly struck him, blowing away the surrounding buildings. Kirby was left in a smoking crater, injured and dazed.

Emil: Time to end this!

The Emil all charged towards Kirby, intending to completely crush him, but Kirby straightened back up and closed his eyes, concentrating on his inner dimension and on a particular power-up; when Kirby next opened his eyes, he was in his Hypernova form. With a single inhale, Kirby converted himself into little more than a black hole and began to suck all the Emil clones into his mouth.

Emil: WHOA!

Kirby swept the vacuum around himself, making sure to suck up every Emil there was. The last Emil he was able to suck up was the largest one, temporarily lodging itself in the opening of Kirby's mouth before finally being sucked through. Once Kirby had completed this, only a single Emil remained floating in front of him.

Emil: That...was a very bad idea.

Kirby arched an eyebrow up in confusion, before feeling his body's temperature begin to rise. Deep inside his internal dimension, all the Emil briefly glowed before exploding in the blast that was capable of wiping out all life on the planet.

In the outside world, Kirby simply coughed once, a little puff of smoke escaping his mouth. Emil's eternally smiling mouth opened in shock.

Emil: What...the...URK!

Kirby was suddenly standing with his back to Emil, something in his hands; the sword and sheath of the Ninja Ability. Sheathing the sword as part of completing Stealth Slash, Kirby remained with his back to Emil as the living weapon fell into two pieces.

Now with his opponent defeated, Kirby was finally able to perform his victory dance, capping it off with a victorious;

Kirby: Ya!

KO!

Kirby inhales the two halves of Emil's body and transforms into a new form that enables him to duplicate himself.

Outcome[]

Boomstick: Damn Kirby you hardcore!

Wiz: Emil may have been a powerful magic wielder, but the sheer amount of obstacles Kirby put up against him thanks to his dozens of Copy Abilities meant that Emil was always going to struggle to overpower Kirby.

Popup: Even if Emil had retained his petrification ability, Kirby had turned back from being turned into other objects before.

Boomstick: And struggle to keep up with him as well, because as it simply was, Emil was nowhere near as fast as Kirby was, considering the difference in reaction speeds compared to different methods of flight within their homes universes.

Wiz: Android flight units go 40,000 times the speed of sound, whilst the Warp Star, which Kirby personally drives, goes quadrillions of times the speed of light.

Boomstick: So yeah, no real contest there.

Wiz: That leaves us to discuss which one was more powerful, and to do that, we had to compare both their planetary destroying feats; Kirby cracking Popstar in half and Emil's self-destruction.

Boomstick: Emil's self-destruction was described as leaving the planet Earth little more than a burnt rock, so he didn't destroy the entire planet, only the outer level, just enough to leave the surface lifeless.

Wiz: From that we can infer that Emil's self-destruction results in the destruction of the surface of the planet, a feat that would require 183 quadrillion tons of TNT.

Boomstick: Kirby's feat next, and it is much superior than Emil's, let's get that out there now, because it is worth 1900 septillion tons of TNT, which we determined on Wario VS Dedede.

Wiz: That makes Kirby one billion times more powerful than Emil, at his absolute best, because don't forget, it took all of Emil's clones to pull off that planet razing blast. And since Kirby regularly takes hits from foes who can go toe-to-toe with him, like King Dedede, this means he can also survive a power greater than what Emil could deliver.

Popup: Dividing the feat's total power by the number of clones, then a single Emil would only be able to use 30 megatons of TNT.

Boomstick: So even if Emil decided to say "Screw it" and blew the whole planet's surface away, it wouldn't be enough to kill the Kirbster, and would simply make Kirby's job of killing him that much easier.

Popup: Although Emil's attacks cause damage to individuals no matter how tough they are, it does not appear to completely bypass their full durability, as a single attack is not capable of instantly taking them out.

Wiz: Emil put up a good fight, but against Kirby's strength, speed, durability and wide array of copy abilities, he just couldn't stand up to the Pink Puffball.

Boomstick: In other words, he was nowhere Nier Kirby's equal.

Boomstick: The winner is Kirby.

Trivia[]

  • The connection between Kirby and Emil is that they are both round-bodied entities created to be weapons/warriors who both maintain a child-like personality. Both have also been duplicated at some point in their lives and have battled against alien threats, dark entities, mechanical invaders and other beings like themselves.
  • This battle would have been in 3D
  • The original music for this battle would have been called 'Starry Seven', referring to how stars are a common presence in the Kirby series and Emil's real name of No. 7
