This was originally being done by Quangoi but it has now been adopted by GetSkadooshed. It is the first bonus What If? Death Battle for season 1. It features King Shark from DC Comic fighting against Sharpedo from Pokemon.
Description[]
DC vs Pokemon! A Death Battle between two fictional sharks that are much more powerful and perhaps scarier than an ordinary shark.
Intro[]
(Cue Wiz and Boomstick)
Wiz: Sharks.... Within the deep waters of the ocean they have become feared by many people for many years.
Boomstick: So it only makes sense that someone will try to 1-up an ordinary shark that is already scary with their own scarier creation.
Wiz: Like King Shark, the half-man half-shark supervillain.
Boomstick: And Sharpedo, the evolve form of Carvanha.
Wiz: He's Boomstick and I'm Wiz, and we are going to analyze their weapons, armors, and skills to find out who would win... in a Death Battle!
King Shark[]
(Cue King Shark's Theme)
Wiz: Nanaue was born in the Pacific Ocean near Hawaii as a large humanoid shark.
Boomstick: He's half-man and half-shark? Somebody was into some weird things.
Wiz: What made Nanaue very special was that he was the son of "The King of all Sharks" or the Shark God.
Boomstick: His dad was the Shark God!? Funny I always thought he was just some dude that was mutated.
Wiz: There are some evidence that do point to that, but he was firmly confirmed and established to be the Shark God's son, which technically makes King Shark a demigod. King Shark fought his first superhero when he was responsible for the disappearances of people in Hawaii for several years until the Superman clone finally arrived to put an end to his killing spree. The two battled it out with Superboy eventually coming out on top.
Boomstick: After he was defeated he was locked away for good only to later be sort of released when the government created Task Force X also known as the Suicide Squad. When I say sort of released I'm talking about going on missions with a bomb planted inside of his that will detonate if he doesn't follow orders or cooperate.
Wiz: He has tough skin and flesh that provide him pretty good protection against physical attacks and the deadly pressures of the deep ocean.
Boomstick: Being half-shark he has gills that open up when he has to breathe underwater as well as sharp teeth and sharp claws to tear his enemies apart.
Wiz: He has an incredible sense of smell...
Boomstick: Capable of smelling people through walls and even smell virgins!
Wiz: Which is funny because that is actually canon...
Boomstick: Truly his strongest ability.
Wiz: Anyway, he has sonar to detect enemies around him, can sort of control sharks to attack, and he has superhuman strength and incredible swimming speed.
Boomstick: As if he wasn't deadly enough he also has his own healing factor that enables him to regenerate his own teeth, small stab wounds, his chest being sliced open, and his arms being ripped off! Getting through his skin is tough enough but a healing factor?
Wiz: He is strong enough to tear through two feet of ionized titanium, go up against the Flash, can go toe to toe and even overpower Aquaman, has knocked the air out of Superboy with one punch, and has traded blows with his father. His tough skin has allowed him to shrug off gunfire, survived being blasted by Superboy's heat vision (Though Superboy probably wasn't going full powered and attempting to kill him), tank many explosions, and even took an attack that sent Wonder Woman flying.
Boomstick: King Shark is also surprisingly fast as he was capable of blitzing freaking Superman before he could react! But this was underwater so that probably gave him some sort of an advantage. You know Wiz I think there is one thing we can all learn from this.
Wiz: And what is that?
Boomstick: King Shark is a shark.
Wiz: Wait what?
Boomstick: King Shark is a SHARK!
Sharpedo[]
(Cue Pokemon Theme)
Wiz: In the world of Pokemon it is filled with all types of strange creatures called well... Pokemon. Each one is unique and different and have special abilities.
Boomstick: They can be found in just about anywhere from flying around in the sky, to wandering forests, or crawling in the earth underground.
Wiz: But today we'll be specifically talking about one Pokemon, which you can find swimming in the ocean: Sharpedo. Sharpedo is the brutal water/dark type evolve form of Carvanha.
Boomstick: Hell, their species are nicknamed "The Bully of the Sea"!
Wiz: They are known to be quite smart and independent, preferring to hunt prey alone rather than in a group. They have incredibly powerful teeth, capable of tearing apart a supertanker and biting through iron. Sharpedos are also known to hunt another water type Pokemon, Wailmer. A Sharpedo can swim at speeds of up to 75 mph by drinking in seawater and jetting it out of its rear to propel itself.
Boomstick: It all makes sense now! Their names are Sharpedo cause you know it's a shark that swims around like a torpedo?
Wiz: Did you just figure this out now?
Boomstick: No...
Wiz: Uh huh. Sharpedo has quite an arsenal of abilities like rough skin, which causes damage to any enemy that attacks the Pokemon directly. It also has speed boost to passively increase its speed.
Boomstick: It can also learn moves like:
(Takes out a list)
- Night slash: Slashes an opponent with dark energy
- Hydro pump: Fires a strong water beam
- Hyper beam: Fires a powerful and explosive beam to deal devastating damage
- Rage: Increases Sharpedo's damage if it is hit during battle
- Focus energy: Sharpedo takes a deep breath to raise its chance of hitting the opponent's weak spot for a critical hit
- Aqua jet: Surrounds itself in water before ramming into its opponent
- Screech: An earsplitting scream that lowers an enemy's defense
- Ice fang: Covers its teeth in ice to freeze an opponent
- Scary face: Reduces an enemy's speed
- Slash: Slashes its enemies with its razor sharp fins
- Poison fang: Covers its teeth in poison
- Crunch: Sharpedo bites the opponent with darkness, possibly weakening their defense
- Agility: Sharpedo increases its speed
And the list sort of goes on...
Wiz: Its sharp fangs will even grow back immediately if they happen to snap off.
Boomstick: But wait there's more! What if I were to tell you that this isn't even Sharpedo's final form!
Wiz: When given a Sharpedonite, Sharpedo will transform into Mega Sharpedo! Its stats are boosted, sharp spikes will grow out of its body to deal damage to its opponents when ramming into them and they can regrow whenever they snap off, yellow patterns form over its body which are actually old resurfaced scars that were carved in battle, causing it sharp pain and suffering. Mega Sharpedo also gains the strong jaw ability which increases the power of its biting attacks.
Boomstick: And with an explosive propulsion Mega Sharpedo can reach 125 mph in about an instant! However, as cool as Sharpedo is it does have some weaknesses. Electric, bug, grass, fairy, and fighting type moves are pretty effective against it.
Wiz: Though with all this information it definitely makes sense why you shouldn't mess with a creature that goes by the nickname of "The Bully of the Sea".
DEATH BATTLE[]
It is in the afternoon at Central City. At the harbor King Shark battles the scarlet speedster over a small crate which holds a mysterious and powerful rock.
Flash: I'm sending you back to prison King Shark.
King Shark: I'm not going back Flash!
Flash: Well it's either that or a heavily guarded aquarium.
King Shark roars in annoyance. With one arm he lifts a big metal box and chucks it. The Flash dodges it and throws several rapid punches all over King Shark's body, forcing him to fall onto one knee. He growls as the Flash runs circles around him, throwing multiple kicks and jabs.
King Shark: ENOUGH!
Using the crate like a hammer he slams it down on top of Flash, shattering the box in the impact. The box's destruction reveals the special rock inside it: Sharpedonite. King Shark yells out as the stone flies into the air and into the water. King Shark panics when he looks back and forth at where the Sharpedonite fell and at the Flash who is laying on the ground.
King Shark: I-I'll deal with you later!
King Shark dives into the water. He searches the ocean floor and eventually locates the stone. He smiles when he picks it up in his large hands. He raises the stone high.
King Shark: Now I have ultimate power in the palm of my hands!
But nothing happens, which confuses the shark man. However, the stone had attracted another creature instead. King Shark's senses tingle. He looks to his side and sees Sharpedo watching him near some rocks.
King Shark: I've never seen a shark like you before. Whatever, bow before your king as I have this!
He shows Sharpedo the stone. Sharpedo doesn't listen as it also wants the Sharpedonite. By sucking in seawater it jets itself forward with its mouth wide open. King Shark's eyes widen when he realizes that it wants to battle.
FIGHT![]
King Shark swims upward to dodge the tackle. Sharpedo bursts right through a rock and shakes its head.
King Shark: DIE!
He throws a punch which Sharpedo quickly dodges then counterattacks by covering its teeth in poison and biting down on King Shark's arm. He yelps from the bite before uppercutting the Pokemon in the lower jaw off of him.
King Shark: What did you do to me!?
He looks at his arm to see it glowing with a purplish color. Luckily, King Shark's healing factor is able to fight off the poison. Sharpedo opens its mouth and uses hydro pump that knocks its opponent into the ground and creating a big dust cloud. During the hydro pump attack, King Shark accidentally lets go and loses the Sharpedonite.
King Shark: The rock where is it!?
Sharpedo swims forward and uses slash to give a cut on King Shark's skin. However, his healing factor kicks in and seals the cut. King Shark roars and grabs Sharpedo before he could swim away. He slams the Pokemon repeatedly into the ground, then knees it in the face causing some of its teeth to snap off. Though Sharpedo does quickly regenerate its teeth. By using agility it increases its swimming speed.
King Shark lifts and throws a huge rock, but Sharpedo dodges it. Sharpedo then uses night slash, which King Shark blocks the attack by putting his arms in front of him. With focus energy Sharpedo calms itself before striking in different areas with its sharp fins. King Shark quickly blocks and attack and counters by biting down on the left side of Sharpedo's face. Sharpedo roars from the pain and uses its special move rough skin to damage the shark-man and shake him off. Some blood leaks out from Sharpedo's face as it lost its left eye from the bite. King Shark inhales the blood.
King Shark: Mmmmm. You're making me hungry.
King Shark rushes and tackles Sharpedo, dragging the Pokemon across the ocean floor. Sharpedo uses screech to yell out an earsplitting scream causing King Shark to let go and cover his ears. With him stunned Sharpedo quickly swims away to find the Sharpedonite.
King Shark: Where are you going!?
King Shark pursues, but hesitates when he sees Sharpedo charge up a hyperbeam. The beam launches King Shark straight out of the ocean and high into the sky, where he soon descends back down into the water. Meanwhile, after searching the ocean floor Sharpedo finally locates the Sharpedonite. Sharpedo picks the stone up with his teeth and heads towards King Shark.
King Shark: The rock! What are you doing?
With the Sharpedonite, Sharpedo begins the mega evolution process: Blue circular energy is absorbed into Sharpedo, pink flames erupt from underneath it, and the Pokemon is covered in a bright light that bursts apart revealing Mega Sharpedo.
King Shark: You used the stone's power how!?
Mega Sharpedo roars in response.
King Shark: DIE!
King Shark lifts and throws a large rock. Mega Sharpedo uses crunch to bite it to pieces. Then by using aqua jet it rams into King Shark's stomach and its sharp spikes dig into its opponent's flesh. King Shark puts his feet on the ground to stop himself and then slams the Pokemon onto the ground. He punches it several times in the face before it defends itself with ice fang and bites down on his shoulder area, causing it to freeze.
King Shark: Enough!
He slaps Sharpedo off of him. Sharpedo uses rage, its eyes turn red and small clouds fly outward from its head. King Shark swings his fist into its side. However, this only increases its overall power. Mega Sharpedo opens its mouth to chomp down and rip King Shark's head off, but he quickly defends himself by putting his hands on the shark Pokemon's lower and upper jaw.
King Shark: You fought well creature, but remember who you are going up against!
Similar to King Kong fighting off the T-rexes, King Shark uses his super strength to break Mega Sharpedo's jaws which kills the Pokemon almost instantly.

Results[]
Boomstick: What a jawdropping death! Ha, get it?
Wiz: These two are both ferocious and vicious fighters, but only one shark will come out on top and that is King Shark.
Boomstick: King Shark basically had the superior feats, strength, speed, and durability. He's strong enough to punch the air out of Superboy and overpower Aquaman who can casually lift large cruise ships and take a punch to the face by Wonder Woman. This to me seems way more impressive than Sharpedo taking down supertankers and hunting Wailmers.
Wiz: He's also fast enough to sneak up and blitz the man of steel himself underwater, which is an impressive feat considering Superman has super hearing and fast reaction speeds.
Boomstick: Lastly, King Shark's healing factor combined with his superhuman durability isn't going to make it easy for Sharpedo to take him down. King Shark has tanked explosions, gunfire, and attacks from other powerful beings like Superboy's heat vision.
Wiz: The only advantage Sharpedo really has is its large arsenal of different types of moves, but they will only get it so far as King Shark can either tank some of the damage or heal from them.
Boomstick: Sharpedo is also weak to fighting type moves which is an issue considering King Shark's fighting style mainly involves physical attacks.
Wiz: Even Mega Sharpedo won't be enough to take down King Shark as it will only prolong the inevitability of its doom....
Boomstick: Not to mention King Shark is also a demi-god!
Wiz: The winner of this Death Battle is King Shark!
