Wiz:It's a common saying to say you have tough skin.

Boomstick And these guys quite literally have some of the toughest skin in comic books.

Wiz: The reptilian brute Killer Croc from DC

Boomstick:and the ruthless enforcer, Tombstone from Marvel He’s Wiz and i’m Boomstick.'

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.

Killer Croc

Wiz: Killer Croc's origins vary from person to person.

Wiz: The general consensus for his origin is he was born with a skin condition known as a mutation of Epidermolytic Hyperkeratosis

Wiz: This was part of a plan to meet underground wrestling rings and learn how to be a proper gang leader.

'Boomstick His training led to even Wonder Woman to respect Killer Croc as a warrior.

Wiz: Killer Croc punched a man so hard they died when he was only sixteen. Killer Croc,not the man.

Boomstick: Killer Croc has managed to break metal bars, break metal cars and rip trees in half

Wiz: He's even managed to break alligators in half. An average alligator weighs 454 pounds, which means to break one Killer Croc would have to be exterting 4452.2191 newtons worth of force.

Wiz: Anyway Killer Croc's skin is so tough, not even a barrage of shots from rifles could damage it.

Boomstick: When Killer Croc moved to Gotham City, he decided to rule there, and gave Batman quite the challenge.

Wiz: However despite all his great strength he does have some weaknesses, due to his mutation, his body and mind started going, which means he's nowb asicaly a feral walking crocodile.

Wiz:However the mutation also made his durability stronger, he's even survived hits from Supergirl.

Boomstick He's also defeated Bane in a one to one fight

Wiz:He also has a healing factor, this allows him to bite off his own arms,and he shows no sign of pain when doing it.

Tombstone

Wiz: Alonzo "Lonnie" Lincoln was born in New York City and born with Albinism.

Boomstick: This condition made him a outcast and to make matters worse, it also made his voice speak in whispers.

Wiz: The one person that didn't treat him wrong as an aspiring reporter known as Joe Robertson. However Lonnie mistook not being afraid of him as a sign of friendship.

Boomstick: However when Joe began to write an article exposing his criminal activies,he felt betrayed and forced Joe to drop the article.

Wiz: Lonnie was given the nickname Tombstone at his high school, which he used as his alias as a criminal enforcer.

Boomstick: I'm glad I didn't go my nickname from high school, it would have been stickboom,that is just a weird name.

Wiz@ Tombstone becamea enforcer in philadelphia, and went on many murderous sprees. He has been arrested several times but he has always managed to resist jail time.

Boomstick: I guess the police just can't put a stone in a a hard place.

Wiz: Tombstone was already a powerful figure in the criminal underworld, but he got more powerful, by sigh, literally falling into a vat of acid.

Boomstick Well the cliché's got to come from somewhere.

Wiz:This acid was known as Diox-3 and it gave him increased strength and durability.

Boomstick:The increased strength meant he could choke Taskmaster and strong enough that Daredevil couldn't escape his grip.

Wiz: He managed to defeat Black Cat in a fight, and survived being thrown by Luke Cage.

Boomstick: His activities were noticed by Spider-Man and of course being a superhero, Spidey wanted to destroy tombstone's fun.

Wiz: Tombstone has been quite the challenge for Spider-Man.

Boomstick: What makes Tombstone a interesting character is as he prefers to work solo and hasb't been on any teams like The Sinister Six.

Wiz: He's really just in it for the money.

Boomstick: Honently, same, I wouldn't work with you for free.

Wiz: Anyway, Tombstone would want to avoid fighting any superheroes at all, but when push comes to shove, he will make sure the heroes regret pushing him. Alright , the combatants are set! We’ve run the data through all possibilities!

Boomstick It's time for a DEATH BATTLE.

DEATH BATTLE

A dark night, no clouds in the sky, and black buildings everywhere. Tombstone walked across the street as Killer Croc was walking along the same path. Killer Croc hissed at Tombstone.

"I would advise not doing that again." Tombstone said, in a raspy voice that made it seem like a threat.

"You dare tell Killer Croc what to do?" Killer Croc said. as he clawed at Tombstone's stomach. Tombstone didn't react.

"You really have no idea who you're dealing with" Tombstone said.

Tombstone punched Killer Croc, Killer croc slid a little on the ground.

"Killer Croc will get revenge." Killer Croc said. Killer croc jumped and landed on Tombstone's back

Tombstone grunted as Killer Croc's weight crashed down on his back, but he quickly regained his composure. With l burst of strength, he prye Killer Croc off his back and throw him to the ground. Tombstone towered over his adversary, his eyes glinting with determination.

"You underestimate me, Killer Croc," Tombstone growled. "I've faced far worse than the likes of you."

Killer Croc scrambled to his feet, his reptilian features contorted in anger. He lunged at Tombstone once again, but Tombstone sidestepped his attack with surprising agility. With a swift, well-aimed kick, Tombstone sent Killer Croc sprawling backward, crashing into a nearby car.

Tombstone approached the fallen Killer Croc, his fists clenched tightly. "You're outmatched, my scaly friend," he said, his voice dripping with confidence. "You may possess brute strength, but I have decades of experience and tactics on my side."

Tombstone, anticipating the attack, swiftly sidestepped Killer Croc's assault. He grabbed Killer Croc's arm and used his momentum against him, spinning him around and throwing him into a nearby wall. The impact created a small crater, but Killer Croc managed to regain his footing.

Killer Croc slowly stood back up, recovering from Tombstone's attack, racing to Tombstone,headbutting him to fall to the ground, and bit Tombstone's arm off, and then went to his face, biting all the skin of tombstone's face off, leaving nothing but bone.

Analysis

Boomstick Tombstone's going to need a grave after that.

Wiz: This was a great match up as both had great durability thanks to their skin

Boomstick: And it honestly came down to their strength, both were extremely strong so it was going to be a close fight.

Wiz: They both deal with street level heroes,however Killer Croc defeated Bane, and Tombstone hasn't dealt with anyone as strong as Bane.

Boomstick: Given enough time, Tombstone could find a way to take down Killer Croc, but Killer Croc is not one to give his opponents time.

Wiz: Killer Croc is the winner.

Connections

Both are large and extremely ruthless African American gangsters and supervillains who debuted in the 80s (November 1987 and February 1983), were created by Gerry Conway and built up as the new biggest threat for their respective heroes (Spider-Man and Batman), who take down the top dog gangsters who ruled the city before them (Hammerhead and the Squid). Both Tombstone and Killer Croc also worked for/alongside those previous ganglords, albeit briefly and reluctantly. Both have particular and colorful skin tones caused by genetic disorders/conditions which granted them incredibly tough bulletproof skin. These disorders have been given real life designations but are quite different from the real thing (Tombstone's albinism gave him tough skin and is more or less unfazed by the Sun, while Croc's epidermolytic hyperkeratosis doesn't make you anywhere near as reptilian or large as Croc can get). Both are given sympathetic backstories, contrasted by their evil selves, as both started out as victims but embraced the violent horrible monsters they were thought to be. Both were bullied as children, and those bullies are the ones who gave them their supervillain names, which they also embraced. Their strength is all natural, the result of training (generally). Though intelligent and very capable fighters (Tombstone's many Spider-Man beatings and Croc's first three consecutive wins against Batman speak for themselves), they're both basically glorified thugs and don't try to hide that. While starting out as very ruthless, both have gained more humanity and redeeming qualities since then (Tombstone got close to killing Robbie but didn't due to their past friendship, and his relationship with his daughter is kinda sweet, while Croc has on occasion become a champion for the unwanted and the freaks of Gotham City, ruling an underground empire and briefly a hotel for them to peacefully live in). Both have threatened their heroes' loved ones on many occasions (most notably Tombstone threatening to kill Mary Jane to get to Parker and Croc somewhat unknowingly almost killing Alfred to get Batman). Both have worn very similar coats as well as also very similar gangster-y black tuxedos. Both have close ties with characters allied to the main heroes (Tombstone was a childhood friend of Robbie's, another reporter Peter Parker works for and Croc originally killed Jason Todd's parents, and most recently knew the Flying Graysons and thus knew Dick Grayson somewhat personally, in the Robin & Batman series). Both have sharp filed teeth. Both are very stealthy in spite of their conditions, even in broad daylight. The eyes are a notable weakspot for both of them.
