Wiz: Water, one of the basic aspects of life. This natural resource is responsible for sustaining most living beings.
Boomstick: Yeah, I don't see what's the big deal about water considering I just drink beer instead-
Wiz: What-
Boomstick: But some people use it for cool stuff, like cutting through metal and blowing shit up!
Wiz: Like Katara, master of waterbending.
Boomstick: And Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win, a Death Battle.

Boomstick: You've all heard it before. A hundred years ago, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. What they don't tell you in bending class is that by "attacking" they meant the Fire Nation committed GENOCIDE AND MANY OTHER WAR CRIMES. Holy shit, how is this a kid's show?
Wiz: The Hundred Year War was a violent struggle, with the Fire Nation invading and conquering the lands of the Water Tribes and Earth Kingdoms. Many fell to the flames of the deadly firebenders, including the mother of a young Water Tribe girl named Katara.

- The connections between Katara and Percy Jackson are that they are both teenage protagonists of their respective series who are extremely proficient at manipulating water and are the main water users on their teams of teenage heroes (Katara was one of the first members of Team Avatar and Percy has been a member of many Demigod quest groups, most notably the The Seven). These teams have gone on long-term adventures, traveling across the world to defeat a great evil (Team Avatar's mission was to defeat Ozai while Percy and his fellow Demigods have went up against villains such as Kronos and Gaea) to put an end to a long lasting war (Team Avatar ended the Hundred Year War and Percy helped end both the Second Titan War and Second Giant War, both of which are continuations of previous wars), making their status in history legendary.
