- Wind Manipulation: As the Heir of Breath, John can manipulate the air to create gigantic windstorms, massive tornados, move objects by coating them in wind and create barriers. The effects can be precise enough to move a car to being devastating enough to cover the surface of small planetoids.
- Elemental Transformation: As the Heir of Breath, John possess the ability to turn into his aspect, his body spreading into a large amount of wind which allows him to avoid physical strikes and move anywhere undetected, even to those with canine sense of smell.
- Conditional Immortality: As a god tier, john does not age past his maturity and is capable of reviving from death, which includes the complete destruction of one’s body and is heavily implied to cover their ghost/soul too. However, if John’s death is considered Heroic (such as sacrificing himself for someone or trying to avenge their deaths) or Just (Being killed as consequence of malevolent acts), he will not ressurect.
- Retcon Powers: After sticking his hand inside The Treasure, John became unstuck in reality, giving him the ability to will himself to any point in space and time, including the past of parallel multiverses, erased timelines, fictional stories and even outside of all of existence. This teleportation can be forced upon others by touch to banish them as well as teleport a city-sized planetoid.
- Plot Manipulation: His retcon abilities allow him to cause literal retcons, making his actions and will bend reality, causality and fate itself in order to alter the events in the narrative into a new story, going against the constant enforcement of inevitability by Lord English.
- Reality Warping: John’s capable of viewing Stardust Glitches, which are glitches caliborn caused in reality that were affecting the narrative itself, and with his wind abilities, literally blow them away.
- Conceptual Manipulation: John’s retcon powers allow him to authenticate and alter Canon, which is Truth, Relevancy and Essentiality, where non-canon things are “conceptually unraveled”.
- Acausality and Resistance to Reality, Fate, Plot, Conceptual, Law and Memory Manipulation: He is no longer fully a part of reality nor bound by the rules that govern it, unbound by the ties of causality and destiny, transcending the confines of Canon and the story itself.
- Resistance to Existence Erasure: Survived Lord english’s poison for multiple days, which attacks the core of his being, destroys narrative relevancy and eventually erases one from Canon itself, and should be comparable to his other attacks, which are metaphysical and capable of erasing souls and affecting voids containing all ideas.

- Fought two large ogres and took a beating of them before defeating them with help from Nanasprite and Rose Lalonde
- Created a violent windstorm that spread through at least half of his planet’s surface way before ascending to godhood, putting out Green Sun fire despite his planet’s ocean being pure oil;

- Fought the Condesce alongside Rose, Roxy, Kanaya and Jane, spamming many fraymotifs and eventually defeating her;
- Fought Caliborn after he received the Clockwork Majyyks alongside the Beta and Alpha kids, though was sealed in the Treasure which nullified his powers;
- Fought Against Lord English after the destruction of the Green Sun, surviving hits from him, trapping him in a windstorm, slowing down the swallowing of his hammer, staggering him with a weaker hammer, and surviving a bite from the monster;
- Crossed the circumference of Alternate Calliope’s Black hole, which was the size of a multiverse, in a few hours while beaten, mortally wounded and metaphysically poisoned;
- Survived Lord English’s poison for several days, which was erasing him from Canon, and even used his retcon powers one final time to teleport to another multiverse outside of Canon
