Jinbe Vs Kisame is a what-if episode of Death Battle by Animegx43, featuring Jinbe from the One Piece series and Kisame Hoshigaki from the Naruto series in a battle between water-using shark-warriors.

Description

Both are strong, loyal, undeterred, and can make waves out of puddles, but only one will keep swimming.

Interlude

Wiz: Out of all of the elements, none is as nurturing or unforgiving as water itself. A small amount can revitalize you, or a massive tidal wave can flush all life away.

Boomstick: Unless you're one of these guys, who are good at murdering you with however as much water as they like.

Wiz: Such as Jinbe, One Piece's knight of the sea.

Boomstick: or Kisame Hoshigaki, Naruto's monster of the Hidden Mist. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armours and skill to find out who would win...a Death Battle.

Jinbe is sailing into DEATH BATTLE

Wiz: 10,000 meters below sea level, an underwater paradise where the fishmen and merfolk live freely and peacefully exists. This island is known as...Fishman Island.

Boomstick: These fish dudes are really strong and really tough, so any pirate group made up of them will be really strong, some like Arlong The Saw nearly conquered an entire ocean. But even this nasty, pointy-nose fishy doesn't hold a candle to his former pirate captain, Jinbe of the Sun Pirates.

Background:
-Name: Jinbei,Jimbei,Jimbei, Jinbe
-Height: 9'10" | 301 cm
-Age: 46
-Bounty: 438,000,000 belly.
-Former captain of the Sun Pirates
-Formerly a warlord of the sea
-Helmsman of the Straw Hat Pirates

Wiz: Born as an orphan and having grown up from the lawless Fishman District...

Boomstick: Which sounds redundant given how half of Fishman Island are fishman. It's even in the damn name.

Wiz:...Jinbe was forced to become strong in order to survive. While he did grow up to become a part of King Neptune's royal guard, he was quick to join his childhood hero, Fisher Tiger, to be a founding member of the Sun Pirates, not expecting to lead them himself one day.

Boomstick: Yar, har, fiddle dee dee! Do what you want cause a pirate is free...I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist.

Wiz: Well, it's funny you mention freedom. The reason Fisher Tiger founded the Sun Pirates was because the World Government that rules nearly the entire surface world...isn't exactly against slavery, and until they could be treated as people, the Sun Pirates would defy them and their previous owners any chance they could get.

Boomstick: Jinbe was especially good at the whole pirate thing. So good in fact that the World Government invited him to be a Warlord, a pirate that can commit piracy legally by allying with the government, just so they wouldn't have to deal with him. I mean, who would want to fight against a crew of fishman pirates when they're so strong.

Wiz: The average fishman is stated to be 10 times stronger than the average human, making a crew of them intimidating by default. With that said, even by fishman standards, Jinbe is massively strong. Quite possibly the strongest of his kind.

Boomstick: He's basically a superhuman of a species that are already superhuman. He's really damn strong, really damn tough, and despite his size, he's actually really damn fast too. And just like any other fishman, he becomes even stronger and faster when he's in the water. After all, he is fish.

Wiz: A fish-man, although mammals, are aquatic beings with lungs, gills, and webbed hands and feet, as well as any other parts commonly found in different types of fish, like how Jinbe's size is due to being a whale shark fishman. These features allow them to not only swim, but move with much greater freedom than on land, where as human strength and speed are greatly reduced under these conditions.

Boomstick:  But he's not just dangerous under the water. Give him a handful of the stuff and that's all he needs to start kicking ass with the help of his fishman karate. Man, I'm starting to think this whole species name everything after themselves.

Wiz: Fishman Karate a martial art that takes full advantage of a fishman's biology, using the webbings on their hands and their affinity for water to use it as a weapon, whether it's from a large source of water or simply the moisture in the air.

Boomstick:  So only they can use water as a weapon, huh? Damn. Guess I'll just go back to trying to learn waterbending.

Wiz: Well actually, humans can learn the skill too. In fact, a girl name Koala is even a trainer.

Boomstick: Awesome! I'll at last be able to hold my beer with my bare hands!

Wiz: That's what your cans are for.

Boomstick: Yeah, we'll why waste all that metal when I won't need it. I want to save the ocean by recycling. After all, we'll bee seeing a lot of water today.

Wiz: Well, I suppose that's true. Anyway, Jinbe has been a master of Fishman Karate for most of his life, having been a blackbelt since chldhood.  At his current age, he has mastered a wide-array of attacks, all of which uses water in some shape or form, whether it's literally weaponized water, or using shockwaves to directly attack the water within living bodies.

Fishman Karate Techniques:
- 5000 Brick Fist
-Arabesque Brick Fist
-Shark Brick Fist
-7000 Brick Roundhouse Kick
-Water Shot
-Spear Wave
-Water Heart
-Ocean Current Shoulder Throw
-Vegabond Drill

Boomstick: The Shark Brick Fist in particular does exactly that, either firing a shockwave through the air, or just punching someone really damn hard. Or the Arabesque Brick Fist, which does the same thing, but with a wider blast radius...but comes with some lag issues or something, because it takes a while for the effect to kick in.

Wiz: By physically holding the water, he can throw them like bullets through the Water Shot technique, or if he has enough of it, whirlpools of water called the Spear Wave. By grabbing currents of water of from the sea, he use the Ocean Current Shoulder throw to launch it hundreds of feet above the surface.

Boomstick: And by covering his entire hand in a pack of water, he use his best technique, the Vegabond Drill. For when you don't just want to punch someone, but to punch them so hard that your weapon goes flying right through them.

Wiz: Still, water isn't the only weapon Jinbe has in his arsenal. As expected of a pirate of his calibre, Jinbe is a well versed user of Haki, a mysterious force which, although all living beings have, only through training can it be used. While there are three forms of haki overall, Jinbe can use the basic two.

Boomstick: Which would be Armament Haki, which uses ones own spirit to coat their body in black armor, letting Jinbe increase his defenses while also increasing his attack power. It's basically an shield AND a sword.

Wiz: He's also a user of Oberservation Haki, which enables him to sense and detect a person's own spirit, even without line-of-sight vision. Through this spirit detection, it's even possible to predict and evade enemy attacks.

Boomstick: Hey Wiz, I think I got it this time.

Wiz: The fishman karate?

Boomstick: No, the spider-sense haki thing. I got my eyes closed. Let's see if I can see you coming. Hit me!

Wiz: Hm. My pleasure.

"WHACK!"

Boomstick: OW, you bastard! Not the robot fist!

Wiz: Moving on. Through his career as a pirate, Jinbe has made a name for himself as a powerful pirate. Fighting through wars and surviving dangerous alliances, Jinbe has been through thick and thin.

Jinbe feats
-Fought Portgas D. Ace for 5 days straight
-Survive a magma attack from Admiral Akainu
-Effortlessly defeated Gekko Moria
-Stops a roid-induced Hody Jones' attack.
-Consistently blocks attacks from Luffy.
-Has no fear of Big Mom

Boomstick: Even in his younger days, he once got into a fight with Fire Fist Ace, and neither of them stopped until they collapsed...five days later! We've brought this up a few times, but nerds like Wiz has found that three days without sleep is all you need to have serious health problems, like seeing crazy shit.

Wiz: That's not all that Jinbe has powered through. After befriending Monkey D. Luffy, Jinbe saved his life by body blocking an attack from Admiral Akainu, a man that uses the Magma-Magma fruit. This resulted in him being impaled by a blast of magma.

Boomstick: You know, that stuff that burns at 1300 degrees celcius and can burn you by just being really close to it? He took a hit of that THROUGH his body. And even then, he didn't lose consciencess right away because he wanted to protect Luffy, despite also having a hole in his chest. What a bro.

Wiz: Speaking of Luffy, Jinbe has also proven to be a strong opponent for him. Even after two years of training, Luffy in his 2nd Gear form, which boosts his strength and speed, was evenly matched with Jinbe, with even Luffy's speed-boosted attack being easily blocked. Before this fight, Luffy dodged  multiple beams of light from a cyborg called a Pacisfita, which Luffy himself commented was "too slow".

Boomstick: So it's likely that Jinbe has similar reactionary speeds. And given Jinbe's current bounty is higher than fellow Straw Hat, Zoro, who once struck a mountain man with 11 megatons of TNT, he's likely hitting in the same ball park.  He would also be stronger than Luffy pre-timeskip, who was able to run around with a 600 ton ball of gold in his hand...which he smashed to bits. Worst pirate ever.

Wiz: But that would be light for someone like Jinbe, who's able to launch a massive torrent of water with the previously mentoned Ocean Current Shoulder Throw, which he used launch this raft/giant door onto a marine battleship. By measuring the width of the door/boat that was on the torrent , and measuring the approximate distance with the battleships, we estimated that the torrent of water Jinbe threw has a diameter of about 35 feet, and a distance of 1500 feet at minimum. Meaning he launched about 10.8 million gallons of water. That's over 45,000 tons worth of water.

Boomstick: 11 MILLION GALLONS WITH HIS BARE HANDS!?...Hmm...11 million gallon of beer in my bare hands. I could rob breweries completely unarmed if I knew that technique.

Wiz: But you're already banned from every brewery in the world. No one will ever allow you in.

Boomstick: You're right. I'm going to have to learn some ways to go in completely unseen. Good thing we're going to talk about a ninja in a minute.

Wiz: Despite all of this strength and all of his experience as a pirate of the highest calibre, Jinbe has gone through many bumpy roads, from resolving the two-way predijuce between humans and fish-folk, to challenging people who are literally in charge of the world, all for what is good for his home.

Boomstick: Lucky for him, his crew and even his king knew that too, and were all more then happy to let him join Luffy's pirate crew, even when it meant pissing off Big Mom, one of the most powerful pirates in the world, all without a single shred of fear. What a badass.

"I'm a man who wants to be part of the future pirate king's crew. I can't be intimidated by a mere emperor of the sea!"
-Jinbe as he talks down to Big Mom.'

Kisame is shredding DEATH BATTLE

Wiz: The Five Great Shinobi Nations. Today, they are the firmest of allies willing to work with all nations in the world for peace. But in the past, they've had their fair share of differences.

Boomstick: Well, war tended to be something of a common ground. These countries, such as the Land of Water, have always been known for having the world's best set of super secret ninja villages...which have become tourest attractions in Boruto.

Wiz: But before this time of peace, the Land of Water's ninja village, the Village Hidden Within The Mist, was the most controversial out of the five major nations. Nicknamed the Village of the BLoody Mist, a ninja can only graduate from the academy by killing off their classmates in the final exam.

Boomstick: Kind of like that Battle Royale movie, or your mother at a Black Friday sale. You have to kill everyone in your sight or get killed yourself. Naturally, the Hidden Mist have a lot of ninjas who specialize in assassination. And none of them did it as well as the seven swordsman.

Wiz: The Seven Swordsmen of the Mist are recognized as the greatest ninja of the nation, each of whom are gifted with a one of te seven treasured swords, which are passed from one generation to the next. In the case of Kisame Hoshigaki, he received his from killing the previous owner, who had betrayed the Mist.

Background:
-Name: Kisame Hoshigaki
-Age: 33
-Height: 6'4 | 194 cm
-Weight: 183 Ibs | 83.1 kg
-Former swordsman of the Hidden Mist and Cypher Divsion.
-Member of Akatsuki
-Hates shark fin soup.

Boomstick: Yeah, the swordsman who came before Kisame, Fuguki, had ordered Kisame to kill his own teammates if it meant it could keep important information secret, which Kisame did with ease. But as it turned out, Fuguki wanted it to be a secret so he could sell that information to the enemy. Dick move.

Wiz: While praised as a hero for his actions, these events made Kisame reach the conclusion that the whole world was full of lies, and questioned if anything was worth fighting for.

Boomstick: Until a man name Tobi met him and told him about the up and coming criminal group called Akatsuki. Now, Naruto has a complicated enough of a story as is with a bunch of fake plans made by Akatsuki. Luckily, Kisame was told the real plan that the group was going for.

Wiz: To sum it up, the plan was to gather all nine of the chakra tailed beasts and use their combined power to hypnotise the entire planet, thus causing all of mankind to lose their free will and to stop all wars and conflicts.

Boomstick: Kisame liked it since it meant no one could lie again. Sure, it meant the whole world would be enslaved and forever trapped in a dream world...but no more liars. That's fine. I guess.

Wiz: With a goal he believed in, Kisame joined Akatsuki, and became one of the most dangerous criminals in the ninja world, all for the sake of a cause he would happily die for.

Boomstick: Which...spoiler alert: He literally died for it.

Wiz: As one of the seven swordsmen of the Hidden Mist, he wields one of the seven swords passed down from one to the next, specifically, he recieved Samehade, which translated to English literally means, "shark skin."

Boomstick:THIS is a sword? Looks more like a giant back-scratcher.

Wiz: Well, it's not a traditional sword, which would usually use a single blade to either stab and slice something. Samehade is a living organism with razor-sharp scales that allows it to shave away at enemies. It's also quite sturdy, making it useful for as a little shield.

Boomstick: (Playing with Samehade) Pfft. Call it a sword if you want. I just see a giant, dumb...

Samehade: (Growls angrily)

Boomstick: Oh, what's wrong? Think you can kick my ass?

Wiz: Probably. Anyone who it doesn't consider its own will be impaled by spikes if they keep holding onto its handle.

Samehade: GGGGURRRRRRR!

CHOMP!

Boomstick: (Muffled) Ohhh, God damn it, it's trying to eat my head!

Wiz: Huh. It must REALLY not like you. Although, it is intelligent enough to act on its own if it has to.

Boomstick: GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF!!!

Wiz: Anyway, aside from being strong as a tradtional weapon, Samehade is true power comes from its ability to devour Chakra from enemies. Chakra is the combination of the physical and spiritual energy within all living things, which ninjas can use to create and enhence attacks. It can also given any extra chakra to Kisame by temporarily fusing with him to give him a healing factor and restore chakra.

Samehade: (With Boomstick's voice) Wait, so you mean this thing is just trying to fuse with me.

Wiz: OH MY GOD!

Technical

Wiz: Okay, now that I made Samehade puke up Boomstick, we can go into more details about its fusion.

Boomstick: I think I've seen enough details on that.

Wiz: By fusing with Samehade completely, Kisame transforms into shark-form, further enhences his strength hile providing him with the same defenses Samehade itself has, as well as gills to breath underwater. While Kisame is already a strong fighter in the water, this form gives him complete dominance against anyone that's can't can't fight underwater.

Boomstick: Like, you know...normal people! But you would think this would be a pretty niche ability since under water isn't a normal place to fight. But thanks to ninja magic, anything is possible.

Wiz: In addition to being skilled with a sword, Kisame is profficient in two of the three primary forms of ninja combat. Taijutsu, which focuses on hand-to-hand combat, and much more noticiably, Ninjutsu, the art of using one's chakra to create supernaturual feats. Particularly, Kisame fights using water-style ninjutsu.

Boomstick: Such as with his Water Exploding Shockwave, where he literally spews out a massive amount of water, one that can turn a desert into a god damn lake! How is even doing that? I mean, I know how, but how can he spit out so much?

Wiz: This strength of this particular jutsu is proportional to the amont of chakra used for it, and even by a ninja of Kisame's rank, his chakra reserves are disgustingly large. At 30% of his usual chakra, Neji Hyuga compared him to Naruto when he was first using the nine tail's chakra. Similarly, the elite Jonin-rank Kakashi Hatake compared Naruto's chakra to be 100 times greater than his when he uses that power

Boomstick: Jesus! This guy must be able to drown a desert with all that...oh, wait, he totally can. But you know, it's not just a massive torrent of water that he's good at making. He can use that same water to make all kinds of crazy things.

Jutsu:
-Hidden Mist Jutsu
-Water Exploding Shockwave
-Water Prison
-Water Dragon
-Water Clone
-Water Shark Bomb
    Thousand Hungry Sharks
-Water Bullet

Wiz: With the Hidden Mist Jutsu, he can create a thick blanket of fog to completely nullify vision. He can trap enemies in a Water Prison by keeping his hand in front of them. To further aid himself, he can create a group of Water Clones to fight alongside him and even use jutsus if Kisame performs it.

Boomstick: Here we go. Water-Style: Beer Clone Jutsu!

"POOF! A beer clone of Boomstick appears in the palm of Boomstick's hand."

Wiz: Oh no, he's multiplying!

Boomstick: Haha. I shall name him...Beerstick!

Beerstick:  And if he can make 50 hand signs, he can do the Water Dragon Jutsu, which is worth doing, because you're making a freaking dragon out of water! Or make a literal tidal wave of water sharks with the Thousand Hungry Sharks technique.

Wiz: Huh. I think your tiny clone did the research better than you did.

Boomstick: Impossible. All I'm doing is stealing your notes.

Kisame feats:
-Fought Might Guy twice. Both while under a handicap.
-Overpowered Asuma Sarutobi
-Singled handedly defeated the 4-tailed jinchuriki.
-Survived Killer Bee's attack that completely exposed his inards
    -Defeated Killer Bee
-Tossed aside a Ponta the giant racoon.

Wiz: Research or not, it is plain as day that Kisame lives up to his name as a monster. Capable of creating an exess of water needed to fight and drown his enemies.

Boomstick: Like in his fight with Killer Bee, when he created agiant dome of water , which he could even move so that it would keep him in the center of it. Water seems to have a lot of math, so I'm just gonna let you do this one.

Beerstick: Allow me. The trees in this area are similar in height to the giant racoon, Ponta , who fell on top of them, and when comparing it to it's master, Sabu , it appears to have a waist that's roughly 30 feet tall. Now when comparing Ponta to one of the pines trees, the trees are likley about 80 feet tall. Finally, by comparing the trees to the dome , we get a spherical cap of 320 feet tall and about 360 feet wide.

Wiz: Well done, Beerstick. You should be my new co-host.

Boomstick: HEY! Don't you try and replace me with me.

Wiz: With those numbers in mind, we can deduce that the dome to have a volume of just over 23 million cubic feet, meaning Kisame was controlling more than 140 million gallons of water. That's enough to fill an 225 olympic style swimming pools.

Boomstick: But he's not just good at drowning the world. He's good at going toe-to-toe with some of the best shinobi that the world can offer. He fought against Might Guy on three seperate occassions, two of them he had to go Super Saiyan with his 8 gates in order to beat.

Wiz: In All Might vs Might Guy, we established that Guy could scale to Kakashi, and given how Guy struggles so much with Kisame, we can scale him to Kakashi as well, who outraced lightning, which would've required him to move 763,000 meters a second. That's 1.7 million miles per hour.

Boomstick: Speaking of Guy, Kisame also survived the Daytime Tiger, a punch that Guy can only use if he has 7 of the 8 inner gates open. Now sure, a punch doesn't sound too bad, if it wasn't for the fact that an ENTIRE ISLAND FELT IT!

Wiz: The effects of the Daytime Tiger unleashed a massive shockave of air that dwarfed Turtle Island, the location of this fight, and n a manner that isn't too much different to how a hurricanes.  So by comparing the Daytime Tiger to real-life hurricane formations, Guy would've had to strike with about 50 megatons of TNT to evaperate that much water.

Boomstick: That's almost lot like getting hit by the Tsar bomb at point blank range, and while that defeated him, the fact that he was still even conscious, or even alive for that matter, is something that's worth boasting about. Starting to think this guy really is a monster. What else can actually stop this guy?

Wiz: Not a whole lot. His known defeats typically come from opponents who outclass even kage-level shinobi with raw power, such as Might Guy after opening the gates, or Naruto in his chakra form. Although, do to his heavy reliance on water-style jutsu, it is possible that someone who focuses on Earth-elemental attacks will have a...slightly better chance against him.

Boomstick: Wait, shouldn't he be strong against ground attacks?

Wiz: No, Earth-based jutsu beat water. And Lightning beat earth, and so on. Here's a little chart for how the five basic chakra types are strong and weak to each other.

Boomstick: Th-then...but...are you saying Pokemon has lied to me all this time?

Wiz: Match-ups aside, elements aside, he remained one of the strongest ninjas to ever come from the Hidden. Even when he was finally defeated and captured, he chose death rather than revealing Akatsuki's secrets to his enemies His title as 'Monster of the Hideen Mist', truly was one deserved for more than one reason.

"You really have a talent of getting on people's nerves. I suppose I'll toy with you until you remember."
-Kisame during a fight against Might Guy.

Intermission

Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set and we've run the data through all possibilities.

Boomstick: It's time for a DEATH BATTLE!!!!!

Death Battle

In the middle of a massive round lake lied a tiny island no more than 50 yards wide. It had a beach going around the the whole island, a patch of grass in the center, and no trees at all. The only thing of interest on the island was a large, blue, stone cube with ancient writing on it. This cube was somethng that Kisame was investigating.

Walking from the shore from underwater was Jinbe, who spotted the cube, as well as Kisame standing in from of it.

"Brother!" Jinbe shouted, mistaking Kisame for a fishman. "My friends have need for that poneglyph. I'm gonna have to barrow it."

"Poneglyph, huh?" Kisame said as he turned to acknowlege his guest. "Sorry, but the boss is curious about this thing too. It's coming with me. Unless of course, you want to fight for it."

Doubting that Jinbe would leave willingly, Kisame drew his sword and pointed towards him. Not backing down, Jinbe readied his fighting stance.

"I'd rather not fight my kind again, but if I must."

With one treasure, but two warriors fighting over, the two are left with no other choice but to...
FIGHT!!!

Off the bat, Kisame charged forward with his sword swinging, and while Jinbe caught it, he was still pushed backward as Kisame marched forward. After a few feet, Jinbe pushed Samehada away, and then immidiately ducked to avoid another swing.

Kisame attempted to swing his sword downward, but Jinbe was able to catch it with both hands. Ths left Kisame open to a surprise kick, one that launched him backwards and into the poneglyph behind him.

"Ooooh, you got some fight in ya. This alone will make this whole trip worth it."

Excited to fight a challanging foe, Kisame charged forward with even more speed and strength, narrolowly missing Jinbe on the first swing, but shaving away at his shoulder on the second swing. This was immidiately followed by thrustwhere his sword push Jinbe back, who blocked the impact by crossing his arms at the moment of impact.

Keeping his momentu, Kisame charged forward again to swing his sword again. This time, however, Jinbe responded with a roundhouse kick, which he aimed directly at Samehade. After Jinbe's clogs dug into the scales, Samehade was swung back to the opposite direction, which in turn left Kisame wide open.
"UGH! WHAT!?"

With the opportunity he gave himself, Jinbe grabbed Kisame's handle holding Samehade with one hand, and struck Kisame with palm thrust using the other, both sending him flying backwards and disarming him. As Jinbe swung Samehade down at Kisame, the latter jumped back, and after several backflip, was standing on the water far from the beach's shore.

"Standing on the water, huh? That's a neat trick."

"Hahaha. That's nothing. Watch as I make my sword reappear!"

Upon command, spikes pierced through Jinbe's hand from Samehade, forcing him to let go of the sword and allow the it to return to its master. After it swam back to meet up with Kisame, he sheathed it on his back and performed hand signs, switching fight tactics.

"Water style: Water Clone Jutsu!" From the lake, seven water clones were created next to Kisame, all of which charged forward as Kisame stayed behind to fight at a distance. "Ninja Art: Hidden Mist Jutsu!"

A blanket of fog appear entirely out of nowhere, one that was so thick that Jinbe as no longer able to see what was even in front of him. Even the water clones that were running around him had vanished and stopped making any noise. Despite the loss of vision, Jinbe remaned focused. With a few glances at the fog, he finds his targets.

With a straight punch, Jinbe instantly takes out the first clone that charged him. As the next charged forward, a leg sweep with a follow-up punch took it out as well. The third attempted to attack from the air, but when it got close, Jinbe grabbed it with both hands, where he crushed the clone into a spinning ball of water, which he used to throw a water spear at the next two clones hiding in the mist.

"Shark Brick Fist!"

With left punch, a large shockwave was fired, causing the mist to be blown away. As the mist dispersed, the real Kisame was still found standing in the lake, having finished performing handsigns.

"Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu!" Risen from the water next to Kisame was a massive  torrent of water in the shape of a dragon, roaring as it stared down at Jinbe on the beach.

Despite that, Jinbe took a fighting stance. "Fishman Karate:..."
"FORGET ABOUT US?"

After throwing a punch with his right fist, Jinbe overheard the remaining two water clones that appeared on each side of him. After the real Kisame made another handsign, water blasted out of the clones' arms, which trapped Jinbe in a large Water Prison Jutsu. Meanwhile, the water dragon charged forward.

"So many admirable tricks." Jinbe complimented. "But I still struct first!"

As the water dragon approached Jinbe, the water in it became desatablized. Even Kisame felt as though he was pushed back by something. After a delay, the effect of Jinbe's previous attack finally took effect, causing the water dragon to explode as the water was blasted back at Kisame's direction.

Angered by the unexpected counterattack, Kisame placed his hand in the water to atatck again. "Fine. If I can't blast you, I'll just have you eaten alive!"

From the water came five sharks made of water, which swam at tremendous speeds as they hungrily made their way to the beach. While it appeared as though that Jinbe was still trapped and a sitting duck, it wasn't until the last second that the clones noticed that Jinbe has raised hs arm.

"Water Shot!" He yelled as his threw a droplet of water from out of the water prison, piercing through the water prison, piercing through the sharks, and finally, it pierced through Kisame himself.

Gasping for air after taking a diriect hit, Kisame lost his focus as he fell in the water, causing his previous jutsus, including the water clones containing Jinbe, to disperse. This meant the fishman was free and that he had won. Or so he thought.

"That was rough. Not to get this poneglyph to...hmm!? He heard a noise, then turned his attention back to the lake. "WHAT THE--!?

To Jinbe's surprise, a massive tidal wave, one that stood over fifty feet, came out of nowhere before crashing down and drowning the small island as it swept Jinbe and the poneglyph away. While it took him by surprise, he was still able to recover as he adapted to suddenly being underwater.

But Kisame didn't give Jinbe a chance to rest. Having merged with Samehade, the tailless tailed beast charged and chomp down at his opponent's arm as they swam deeper and deeper in the water. To respond to Kisame's ambush, he coated both arms with haki and punched Kisame in the eye, which forced him to lose his grip.

Kisame responed with a punch of his own, which Jinbe gaurded by crossing his arms, who then countered with a punch to the ninja's stomach. After that, it became an underwater slugfest, with both warriors strikng with such strength and speed that the water churned as though there was a storm brewing.

After flurry of blows, both are blown away from each other, with Jinbe getting sent to the bottom of the lake and Kisame near the surface. As Kisame prepared his strongest attack yet, Jinbe made a Water Heart to prepare for his.

"Water style: A Thousand Hungry Sharks!"

"Fishman Jujitsu: Ocean Current Shoulder Throw!"

A thousand giant sharks were summoned and a bubble of water engulfed Jinbe's right hand. As quickly as they appeared, a tidal wave of sharks closed in the gap as they rushed to the bottom of the lake. Likewise, Jinbe threw monstrous stream of water upwards to clash with the sharks. While it looked as though the attacks were even, the thousand sharks eventually overwhelmed the soulder throw, breaking through and crashing down at the bottom of the lake.

Kisame was pleased that he had won the clash, but while his guard was down, Jinbe appeared in a flash directly in from of him, with a Vegabond Drill ready in his hand. With his guard dropped, Kisame was wide open for Jinbe.

"WHAT THE--!?"

"You're no fishman!"
With a final punch, Jinbe thrusted his fist deep into Kisame's chest, launching a bullet through the tailless tailed beast and out of the surce of the lake. Shortly after, both Kisame and Samehade, seperated from each other, flew out of the lake as well, rollng on the beach as they landed.

Shortly after, Jinbe walked onto the beach from the water, with the ponegylph being carried over his head. He looked down at his fallen opponent to finish his prevous sentence.

"You're a monster."

K.O!

Beerstick: Haha. That may as well be beer like me, because that went right through him!

Boomstick: Wait, what? Why are you still here?

Wiz: This was a fasininating match-up. Both Jinbe and Kisame had a large arsenal of techniques with deadly force. Neither could take the other down immidiately, and yet it was likely that they would both kill each other several times over if they could.

Boomstick: Yeah, between Kisame's massive chakra reserves and Jinbe being able to fight for days non-stop, this was never going to come down to attrition. But even though this fight could potentially go either way, Kisame really didn't have too many advantages over Jinbe. Or at least, not too many that made him the the most likely winner.

Wiz: For example, we know that Kisame is able to create and control much ore water than Jinbe can at one time. More than ten times in fact. However, Jinbe's fishman karate meant that he could better control of water in his direct facinity and more fluidly, when compared to Kisame, whose jutsu generally has more of a cast time and takes a specific form. Also, terraforming the battlefield with so much water gives Jinbe just as much of an advantage as it does to Kisame. If not, more so.

Boomstick: Not only that, but when Jinbe controls water, he does it with his bare hands, meaning he threw that 45, 000 ton water stream with arm strength. Even if you half it since his strength is doubled under water, that's still more than 22,000 tons.

Wiz: Kisame's best feat of physical strength comes from one-shotting and knocking down Ponta the Racoon, who is about 40 feet tall when on all fours.

Boomstick: Meh. I've seen bigger digging through my trash.

Wiz: Comparing it to real world racoons, which about 30 centimeters at most at shoulder level, and compare it to the 40 feet Ponta, we estimate that Ponta weighs 640 tons at most. An impressive feat of strength, but Jinbe is still 35 times stronger, even on land.

Boomstick: Now we've examined these guys thoroughly, but neither of them have any noteworthy speed feats. They do, however, relaibly scale to others who do, with Jinbe scaling to Luffy, and Kisame to Kakashi and Guy. If Kakashi can move at 1.7 million miles an hour, Kisame should be able to do the same.

Wiz: Lkewise, Jinbe can consistently keep up with Luffy in his sped-up 2nd Gear form. In his base form, Luffy is able to to dodge laser beams fired in rapid succession. And to be clear, these lasers are specifically stated to be modeled after the the beams of light from the glim-glim, fruit which not only bounce off of reflective surfaces, but are specifcally state to move at the speed of light, or 660 million miles per hour.

Boomstick: Meaning Jinbe had no trouble at all at dealing with Kisame's speed. Plus, he had a solid answer for just about everything else. Samehade's spikes hurt, but the armanent haki can black it. Kisame has a bunch of ninja stealth tactics, but the observastion haki meant Jinbe couldn't lose him. Even the water prison jutsu can't hold the big guy since he's made for the water. Trust me. Drowning a fish is hard.

Wiz: Kisame is certainly an insanely dangerous ninja that could keep just about anyone on their toes. However, whether on land or sea, Jinbe's overwhelmng strength, speed, and skills, combined with his fishman physique, meant that he had everything he needed to counter and slay the Monster of the Mist.

Boomstick: But at least you can say Kisame put up a--

Beerstick: Fin-tastic fight!

Boomstick: Oh, you son of b***h! I'm drinking you now!

Beerstick: AAAAHHH!!!

Boomstick: GET BACK HERE!!!

...

Wiz: Uhh...The winner is Jinbe.
