History[]
As a child, Jellal Fernandes was captured by a mysterious cult and put to work in order to complete the Tower of Heaven, a forbidden black magic artifact that could revive the dead. While in captivity he made several friends including the likes of Wally Buchanan, Sho, Milliana, Simon and most importantly Erza Scarlet. After being captured and tortured for leading a attempted escape, he was seduced and possessed by the legendary Dark Mage Zeref (but in reality was Ultear Milkovich) he became obsessed with finding the world of "true freedom" and took over construction of the Tower of Heaven.
Following the next eight years, Jellal worked hard to achieve his vision all while infiltrating the Magic Council with his alternate personality known as 'Seigrain'. Finally he decided to capture Erza, now a member of the infamous wizard guild known as Fairy Tail as a sacrifice to resurrect Zeref. However following a long and bloody conflict he was stopped and defeated by Natsu Dragneel who destroyed the Tower of Heaven and Jellal along with it.
However Jellal survived though now amnesiac who would help Team Natsu and the Allied Guilds take down the Dark Guild known as the Oracion Seis. Following it's defeat he was arrested but was broken out of prison so that he would create Crime Sorciere, a independent guild dedicated to taking other dark guilds in order to make up for his crimes.
