Far Cry vs The Maze Runner.
Interlude[]
Wiz: Jason Brody, Survivor of Rooks Island.
Boomstick: Thomas, The Maze Runner.
Wiz: Being stranded in a completely hostile and violent environment is never an ideal option even with people stuck in a similar situation.
Boomstick: So the best option is to beat your oppressor's and escape with whoever you can. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz: And today we'll look at their armor, stats, and skills to find out who would win....a Death Battle.
Jason Brody[]
Boomstick: Los Angeles, California. A state filled to the brim with people who hold many different dreams, some that work out and some that don't. It's also the place where Jason Brody resided in.
Wiz: Jason was what could be called as a prodigal child. He was a skilled athlete taking part in multiple different events, has an amazing girlfriend, and was academically great. Everything you could dream in a up coming star.
Boomstick: But Jason's life would change forever alongside his friends.
Wiz: It was during a party where Jason and his friends would meet and encounter a man named Doug who would convince the group to take a trip down to the Rook Islands.
Boomstick: But what they didn't know was that Doug was a spotter for Vaas Montenegro, an insane and monstrous pirate that's killed tons of people.
Wiz: And so on a faithful day when Jason went for a fun day of skydiving, the group would find themselves on the Island and that's where they'd meet Vaas who'd capture them and begin holding them for ransom. On this Island Jason would fight for his life even losing his older brother by Vaas's hand.
Boomstick: Even after he escaped Vaas and his trap, Jason would have to fight to survive against all the pirates and even wildlife to help him and his friends escape. In order to do that, Jason had to get himself strapped with multiple weapons he could find and he was lucky that the island had plenty of them.
Wiz: Jason could get his hands on various firearms and has shown just how skilled he is with stuff like Bows, making him a great archer. Jason's shown some good skills with explosives, bein able to use C4 quite a bit while stuck on the island.
Boomstick: He's a skilled melee fighter, holding his own against Vaas and would become a perfect assassin. While he was a little rusty at first, Jason became a natural at wielding knives and has some genuine smarts on medicine for whenever he's injured.
Wiz: However Jason's best set of weapons, are his tattoos.
Boomstick: Now I know what you might be thinking, what are tattoos gonna do beside look cool? well sit back because they get interesting.
Wiz: These were mystical tattoos, given to him by the Rakyat which represents three totemic animals. Sharks, Herons, and Spiders. These allow Jason to tap into his 'warrior' side which grants Jason an immense boost.
Boomstick: It can take a ordinary and scared young man, Jason used to be and transform him into a ruthless and deadly fighter. These tattoos let him gain immense strength, speed, increasing his reflexes, it lets him accelerate his healing, and boost his intelligence and bloodlust.
Wiz: Jason has shown insane strength, taking on tons of pirates and holdings his own. He's got strength to burst wooden objects, and has the strength to push over cars.
Boomstick: He's got explosives that can take out cars and helicopters, can get up just fine after crashing into a tree, driving at high speeds. He can take biting's from Great whites and survive attacks from Crocodiles and Tigers.
Wiz: He's capable of outrunning those same tigers and other wild animals.
Boomstick: it was no wonder Jason was a beast, tearing through armies or pirates and eventually murdering Vaas and getting revenge for his older brother...but his encounter with Vaas would leave a lasting impression on Jason.
Wiz: Suffering through what the island put Jason through obviously left him mentally unwell and there were times he'd be at risk of losing his sanity.
Boomstick: But Jason accomplished what he hoped when they were captured on that island, escaping and getting his friends home and safe...or you could choose the ending where he murders them, hooks up with Citra and is then killed as some sort of ritual.
Wiz: Gotta love games with multiple different endings.
Thomas[]
Wiz: What do you think the apocalypse looks like? Viruses, zombies? whatever it is it was something Thomas had to deal with. He'd wake up with no memory besides his name and Thomas would find himself stuck in a Maze.
Boomstick: Thomas would find himself stuck here with a whole group of other boys and no way to escape as this maze was huge, incredibly huge.
Wiz: Not only that but this maze was filled with twisted monsters called Grievers that were violent and prone to attack any person they saw in that maze.
Boomstick: Luckily for Thomas, he'd find out that he was a natural at running, being the fastest of the entire group, even outrunning someone like Minho.
Wiz: However Thomas's appearance caused a stir alongside another newcomer, Teresa. With her, Thomas didn't know her but felt like he did. This caused people to be suspicious of Thomas, especially when, both him and Minho were trapped in the maze after it had shut leaving them vulnerable to the the Grievers.
Boomstick: To all the other kids, Thomas and Minho should have died that night, but they're Thomas and his quick thinking saved them. It would be Thomas who'd help lead the kids to escape the maze and they got out with some loses.
Wiz: But what should have been the end of their journey and freedom for them, turned out to only be the beginning and they traversed a world filled with a deadly virus called The Flare.
Boomstick: Thomas however comes prepared with weapons. He's efficient with stuff like wooden spears, that can hold off those disgusting Grievers. Thomas can use his smarts and intelligence to get out of awful situations.
Wiz: He's wielded guns when he can get ahold of them and his determination lets him accomplish goals that were once thought impossible. He's got immense strength, durability, and Speed.
Boomstick: Sure Thomas is strong and can take a hit but his expertise is his speed. He's fast enough to outrun Grievers and has shown great stamina.
Wiz: Thomas is a mastermind at hand-to-hand combat, proving a great fighter. He used Kel-tech launcher and pistols. He's used guns to shoot down tons of trained soldiers. Thomas has used great explosives, bombs, grenades, knowing how they work and preventing them from going off.
Boomstick: He even has a sort of spider-sense.
Wiz: It's not much of a spider-sense, but he can sense when some form of danger is coming.
Boomstick: So spider-sense, its spider-sense.
Wiz: Well its no wonder Thomas lea everyone through the maze, through a desert, and against the Flare Virus. He's handled himself against Grievers even reacting fast enough to dodge one of its tails.
Boomstick: A tail that once it stabs you, you basically become infected and crazy.
Wiz: He was strong enough to shatter a containment chamber and match the infected people called Cranks. Cranks that have the strength to tear people apart. Thomas has peak human speed and reflexes and he's strong enough to survive fall from a great height which would typically result in a force of 90 thousand joules, 72,513 pounds of force.
Boomstick: Its no wonder Thomas can also match his friends, Newt and Minho. Who are strong to out strength Cranks and send chairs smashing through glass.
Wiz: But Thomas isn't invincible. His guns have limits and so does his strength and speed. Plus his....Spider-sense doesn't allow him the time to dodge an attack if he can't react fast enough.
Boomstick: But it was through all this, that Thomas lead his group through this world and would leave behind a new group of young kids in his place.
Wiz: Even when it was revealed that Thomas was once a boy named Stephen and helped build the Maze.
Boomstick: What!!
Intermission[]
Wiz: Alright the combatants are set and we've ran the data through all possibilities.
Boomstick: It's time for a Death Battle!!!
Pre-Fight[]
The scene opens on a skyscraper with tons of military guards rushing around the place. The rushing guards have their attentions drawn away from a hallway which is perfect for a boy named Thomas. Opening up the vent and finally crawling out, spitting stands of dust from his mouth.
Taking a breather to look around his surroundings. The runner gets up and slowly makes his way across the different hallways, taking cover behind discarded boxes and even taking the chance to swipe a ID card from a passing guard before finding what he was looking for. A closed off room.
Taking the card which opens the room and reveals what Thomas was looking for. A small veil of....Medicine.
"Ah there you are" Thomas whispers, not so loud tp get any guards attention. Reaching for the veil.
"Stop right there"
He's stopped by a voice causing him to panic and spin around expecting a soldier....only to see a random man in a blue shirt with some good tattoos. " Uh who are you?" Thomas asks as the man holds him at gunpoint.
"Nevermind who I am, I just need to get that veil from you" Jason Brody points to the medicine in Thomas's hands. "Uh yeah, no, I need this more"
Jason frowns and grips his gun "I'm not going to ask again, hand it over"
Fight[]
In an instant, Thomas rushes for the door but Jason catches him grabs him by the arm, and swings him around throwing him against the wall. The loud noise almost certainly got any guard's attention. Jason then brings a knee into Thomas's gut causing him to drop the veil.
Jason grabs the container and tucks it into his pocket. "Sorry this had to happen but my friends come first" he brings the gun up and fires. Thomas reacts quickly jumps forward and grabs at Jason's legs, tackling him.
Jason shoves Thomas off and grabs his gun before firing at Thomas who ducks from the bullet. The bullet strikes the floor and bounces off it ricocheting around the room and bouncing off the walls before striking a glass container, holding a sicken Crank. The glass cracks slightly from the bullet.
The two stand still in the room having waited for the bullet to stop. Thomas takes the chance and sends a punch against Jason's head throwing the man to the ground and taking the opportunity to take back the Veil.
As Thomas prepares to leave, a cracking noise catches his attention. The Cranks container slowly gives away from the bullet, the glass breaking more and more. Jason takes Thomas by surprise and once again tackles him to the ground. He took his gun and slowly put it right under Thomas's chin, ready to shoot him.
Thomas reacts quickly, grabbing the gun and pointing it just as Jason fires. The bullet lands against the glass container and finally shatters that glass releasing the Crank.
Jason looks up and sees the Crank break free and rushing at him. The Crank tackles Jason off Thomas and the runner gets up and uses the moment to get away from the room leaving Jason with the man trying to bite at him. Grabbing at the Crank's head to keep him away from biting at him Jason still struggles with keeping the infected away from him.
"Dammit," He grits through his teeth as he swings his leg against the man's leg tripping him. He grabs the Crank's head and slams it into the ground before taking his gun and shooting a multitude of bullets into the man's head killing him.
After getting rid of him, Jason sets his eyes on the runner. He acts quickly, rushing out the door.
Meanwhile, Thomas had been rushing down any hallway he could, taking any turn he could think of. All the running has led him right to a giant glass window overlooking a forest surrounding the building.
"Freedom here I come"
From behind Thomas, loud footsteps echo behind Thomas, who turns around to see Jason rush and tackle him through the glass causing the two to smash against a metal walkway. covered with vines.
The loud noise echoes through the forest which catches the attention of a Griever which makes its way over to the two boys.
Jason and Thomas slowly stand up but Jason kicks at Thomas's back, holding him down as he takes the veil from him. Without saying another word Jason takes his gun but he's interrupted as a spike is slashed in front of his face almost nailing him. The Griever attacks, attempting to strike them.
"Shit"
"Shit"
Both exclaim at the same time as the monster tries to grab at them as it crawls onto the platform, the extra weight causing the walkway to give out and causing the three of them to fall downwards. Thomas acts quickly by grabbing onto the vines and halting himself. Jason is grabbed by the leg and yanked down harder, ripping away some of the vines he grabbed as he slashes at the griever's hold on him.
In a quick act, Jason takes to any weapon he has, a hand grenade, and lets it loose against the Griever. The grenade bounces against the monster and falls down a short while before blowing up, the blast strikes the three of them, causing the Griever to lose its grip on Jason's leg and lose its hold on the vines as it falls away and getting its body entangled in the vines.
"Fuck!" Jason gasps.
Gathering himself, Jason starts climbing up only for a kick to strike his face. Thomas kicks at him again and grabs at Jason attempting to take back the veil only for Jason to swat at his hand.
Thomas then brings a knee against Jason's throat, causing him to choke and cough. Thomas reaches for him again only for Jason to take a blade and stab Thomas's hand causing the boy to yell from the pain.
Jason takes the moment and grabs, Thomas by the throat and begins choking him. Thomas grabs at Jason's face but can't pull the man off him.
Thomas starts getting lightheaded at the absence of oxygen and Jason almost has him dead.....before a blade is driven through Jason's chest.
The Griever stabs Jason through the chest with one of its feet. the sharpened limb stabbing into him before the monster pulls it out.
Jason's grip on Thomas loosens as he looks down at his chest as blood pours out. He looks at Thomas one last time before the boy mutters a "Sorry" and reaches out takes the veils and kicks Jason away.
The Griever uses its tail to grab Jason and lets go of the vines causing the two to fall down into the forest below as Thomas watches hanging on tightly.
Conclusion[]
Boomstick: Ah a family reunion in heaven sounds nice...or maybe Jason isn't seeing his brother....
Wiz: How about we don't focus on that and instead we focus on how close this match was.
Boomstick: Oh yeah Jason and Thomas could match each other in quite a bit. Neither was Stronger or even Faster. Thomas's whole thing was being an insanely fast runner but Jason wasn't far behind. Even in reaction speed and reflexes, both were about even with each other.
Wiz: Plus both were equally experienced. Dealing with hoards of armed men Thomas did have a leg up in dealing with stuff such as deadly viruses and even creatures far above animals and pirates so in a way Jason had nothing Thomas hadn't dealt with before.
Boomstick: Sure dealing with pirates and animals such as Tigers and sharks is impressive but it doesn't hold a candle to monsters like Grievers and Cranks.
Wiz: Now yes, Jason has shown that he's used more weapons across his journey but Thomas wasn't lacking and has shown he is capable of wielding the same type of weapons before so it wasn't much of an advantage.
Boomstick: But Thomas did have a few advantages over Jason. Such as better Durability.
Wiz: Jason can take bites from Tigers, Crocodiles, and even Sharks so using the strongest bite fore, a Great White Shark, means Jason can take about 57,000 Pounds of Force, impressive but nowhere compared to Thomas's 72,000 Pounds of Force so Thomas could take more than Jason.
Boomstick: Thomas also had the advantages in Intelligence. Sure Jason is smart, but it comes nowhere near building the complexities of the Maze that Thomas helped create.
Wiz: And finally Jason was....not mentally sane when compared to Thomas which could leave openings for Thomas to take.
Boomstick: While Jason might be more bloodlust, Thomas's intelligence can help utilize that weakness.
Wiz: Ultimately, Thomas was too tough, far Smarter, dealt with different types of threats, and wasn't at any risk of going insane.
Boomstick: Looks like Jason's Run was Far over.

Ost[]
The track would be called Far in the Maze. The title references both combatants home name (Far cry and the Maze Runner). The track would show Jason's arm being over come with the Flare.
Trivia[]
- The connections between Jason and Thomas is that both were just ordinary people who were than one day thrown into a big and dangerous world where they needed to fight to escape but they weren't alone (Jason had his Friends and family while Thomas had new Friends), Had to fight against something evil that tied into them (Vaas was the evil side of Jason if he were to ever become bad while Thomas was immune to the Flare virus), Both also heavily relied on weapons but in the end they managed to escape without some death involved
- Another little cool thing to note is that at the beginning of Far cry 3 Jason was scared of even killing people while Thomas didn't bat an eye at it
- Both Jason and Thomas lost close people to them (Jason´s older brother and Newt)
- They also shared a sort of similar death via being shot and were sort of killed by the main evil thing (Vass and the Flare virus
- The one´s who died also tried to protect them with Jason´s older brother keeping him safe and trying to escape and Newt wanting Thomas to shoot him so he wouldn't attack him due to him being infected and thus keeping Thomas safe
- Both also became team leaders Jason becoming a sort of team leader to how him and his friends were going to escape while Thomas became the Team leader to help escape the Maze
- Both were also successful in getting them and their team to escape
