Intro[]
Carl: Izuku Midoriya, the once quirkless boy turned to the current user of One For All.
Yazo: Wally, the asthmatic boy with dreams to become a great Pokemon trainer.
Carl: These two started at the bottom, but slowly made their way to the top, becoming one of the greatest of all time.
Yazo: And whether it be with superpowers or creatures fighting for them, they've found a way to easily achieve it. He's Carl and I'm Yazo.
Carl: And it's our job to analyze their armor, weapons, and skills to find who would win a Death Battle.
Izuku Midoriya goes beyond Plus Ultra in Death Battle![]
Carl: Superpowers is a concept that has existed for years now. Since 1939, super heroes with special and unique powers have existed and dominated our media. Everyone under the sun has imagined themselves with superpowers and wanted to exist in a world full of them. And the My Hero Academia universe is no different, with roughly 80% of the population having special powers known as Quirks.
Yazo: Now imagine that you're part of that 20% that didn't get any fancy superpowers. That would suck, huh?
Carl: For a certain quirkless boy, named Izuku Midoriya, all he wanted was to be a hero. But Lady Luck was not on his side. He lived his life, bullied for his lack of power, being told that he could never reach his dreams of becoming a hero. Even with all of his fanboying and study on different heroes, he would never be on the level of his idol, All Might. He was even called "Deku" which can translate to useless.
Yazo: That is until he fell right into his hero's lap. Well... not literally. But... pretty close. He met the number 1 hero, All Might. And after the hero, who was on the verge of retiring, saw Izuku running into danger to save someone who bullied him by the way... and decided to pass his power onto the quirkless child after seeing that he was a true hero. And besides, he needed someone to pass his power onto anyways. He was slowly dying after all.
Carl: You see, All Might's real quirk was called One For All. It's a special type of quirk. You see, the user is able to pass the power down to whoever they deem fit for the power, while also harnessing the power of all previous users and amplifying it. All Might was the eighth user of this quirk. But if Izuku got the power in its present state, it would've killed him.
Yazo: So, the kid needed to bulk up a bit. And he did exactly that by clearing an entire beach worth of litter. Like... insane amounts of liter. Seriously, there was a fucking fridge! WHO THE HELL DUMPS AN ENTIRE DAMN FRIDGE ONTO A BEACH!?
Carl: Let's move on before Yazo goes on a 30 minute rant. Regardless, Izuku certainly bulked up and proved that he wasn't useless. And so, deeming that he was ready, All Might took a strand of his hair and told Izuku to eat it, because apparently Izuku needed All Might's DNA to receive his power... yeah, I'm sure that's sanitary.
Yazo: But, Izuku had gotten his power... and then had absolutely no time to practice with it, because he was late for initiation into the top hero school in Japan, U.A. High. Try not to get yourself killed with your new power, kid.
Carl: Well, he broke his arm, but I'd say he managed to handle himself. And he took out a building-sized robot with a singular punch.
Yazo: Oh, and he met generic protagonist's love interest and a few other people that became his friends.
FNAFpro52: HEY! DON'T INSULT MY FAVORITE CHARACTER, YOU BITCH! URARAKA'S THE BEST!
Yazo: Whatever helps you sleep a night.
Carl: Moving on... despite saving Ochako from the giant robot, he ended up scoring a whopping zero points during the initiation... or so he thought. Turns out, there was a second type of hidden point system that was not revealed to anyone who was participating in the initiation. Izuku ended up racking up a bunch of points for saving Ochako.
Yazo: And it was enough to enroll Izuku into the school. U.A. High!
Carl: Of course, his path to becoming a hero was not an easy one. He a bunch of training through classes and some... *ahem* hands-on experience. As in... actual super villains. You can imagine that it... wasn't exactly easy for Izuku to always persevere.
Yazo: Yeah, this kids been through quite a bit. From fighting against his fellow classmates, mindless monsters, and malicious super villains. What didn't help was the fact that his power was basically destroying his body, which is pretty bad. Seriously, every time he used his power early on, he broke a bone.
Carl: Well, that was because his body wasn't adjusted to the huge amounts of power that One For All held. He got better eventually. And even more powers by harnessing the Quirks of the previous users of One For All. And he developed several strategies and techniques for using these different Quirks.
Yazo: Let's talk about 'em now, shall we?
Carl: Izuku's incredibly smart. He knows all about Pro Heroes and different strategies. He can even replicate other's strategies after studying it. Now, onto his quirks. Of course, One For All gives Izuku enhanced strength, speed, durability, stamina, stuff like that. Not to mention, Izuku had to train his body pretty hard in order to properly use that incredible power.
Yazo: Then there's the quirks given to him by the previous users of One For All. Such as Gearshift. This quirk allows Izuku to change the speed and velocity of any object he touches, including himself. He tends to use this as a last resort if normal punches aren't working properly or he really needs to stop an object from moving.
Carl: Fa Jin is a quirk that allows Izuku to build up and store kinetic energy with repetitive movements, before releasing it as a temporary burst of speed and power. Danger Sense is discount Spider-Sense, and Blackwhip allows Izuku to generate black tendrils that can be used for grappling, usually used for grabbing things, capturing opponents, or using them... like Spider-Man. Man, they drew a lot of inspiration from Peter Parker.
Yazo: Smokescreen is exactly what you think it is. Izuku produces smoke from his body that can obscure people's visions. And then there's Float. Which is also what you think it is. Izuku can suspend himself in the air, essentially allowing him to fly. And then there's the real anime stuff, Ultimate Attacks with names that are super fun to yell!
Carl: Such as his most famous technique. Detroit Smash. This is usually delivered as a straight punch or uppercut, and can vary in power depending on how much he wants to use. Then there's Deleware Smash. This technique usually has him flicking his fingers so hard that it generates gusts of wind that can shatter ice.
Yazo: Then there's United States of World Smash. This is just Izuku's version of All Might's attack of a similar name. Heh, once a fanboy, always a fanboy. Next, Full Cowl. This technique allows Izuku to focus his power throughout his full body instead of an individual part. It increases his speed and maneuverability.
Carl: There's Texas Smash, Wyoming Smash, St. Louis Smash, St. Louis Smash Air Force, Manchester Smash, Froppy Style, Full Blast, Pinpoint Focus, Blackchain, Transmission, Overdrive, Izuku has no shortage of strong techniques. But his strongest one is 1,000,000% Delaware Detroit Smash. This attack draws 100% of One For All's power, usually used during an adrenaline.
Yazo: Why is so many of his attacks named after US States? He's Japanese, isn't he?
Carl: Well, Detroit Smash rolls off the tongue better than Hiroshima Smash.
Yazo: ...Fair. Anyways, next up is his tech. His current costume is Costume Zeta, the sixth iteration of his costume. This suit's got iron soles, the Air Force Gloves that allows him to shoot pressurized air bullets by flicking his fingers, and the Mid-Gauntlet. Despite its name, this thing is definitely not mid. This thing can withstand 100% of Izuku's power before it breaks.
Carl: There was a Full Gauntlet... but... it... uh... broke. But that his arsenal out of the way. Onto his feats.
Yazo: Izuku's done some incredible shit. He's destroyed building sized robots, created water vortexes, destroyed large chunks of ice, leap dozens of meters into the air, can move incredibly fast like when scaling to his classmates, who dodged Aoyama's laser, created afterimages, and managed to take hits from tons of heavy hitters, like All Might, Bakugo, Muscular, and Overhaul.
Carl: And then there's Izuku's most impressive feat. In My Hero Academia Heroes Rising, Izuku, alongside Bakugo, was capable of destroying a massive thunderstorm with a 100% Detroit Smash. Now, this feat would be 228.74 Gigatons, but since it took two people to perform this feat, it has to be cut in half to 114.37 Gigatons instead.
Yazo: Not that nearly 120 Gigatons of TNT is a bad thing. That's enough to detonate an entire fucking island with no problem. That's more than the Tsar Bomb, the most powerful nuclear bomb that was ever made. Like a lot more powerful than the Tsar Bomb. Wait, this society lets kids who are more powerful than nuclear bombs walk around and use their power willy nilly?
Carl: No, the government regulates them. Izuku had to get a license in order to become an official hero. But your question is a good segway into Izuku's weaknesses. For one, his power can destroy his body if he overexerts himself. Blackwhip can become uncontrollable if he fails to keep his emotions in check. Negatively strong emotions can cause Danger Sense to be overstimulated, And a downside of Gearshift that he cannot breathe in oxygen while using it, so he can only use it in small periods of time.
Yazo: But hey, no one's perfect. Izuku's still gonna prove himself and become the number one hero one day.
"If I can't save one little girl right in front of me... Then how can I ever hope to be a hero who saves everyone?!"
Wally is a Pokemon Master in Death Battle![]
Note: The team that is being used is the Fourth battle onward Battle Maison team.
Carl: The world of Pokemon is a fascinating one with several landscapes full of these amazing creatures known as Pokemon that exist alongside humans. Many people have captured, trained, and formed bonds with these creatures and thousands of them have become amazing trainers with years of battle experience.
Yazo: But none of their stories are as inspiring as Wally's story. Why? Because while most trainers started from a pretty low point, he started from the very bottom. In the Hoenn region, at the start of the protagonist's journey, they meet a young boy with bright green hair in their father's gym.
Carl: Wally requested Norman, the gym leader and the player's father, for a Pokemon. Seeing potential in the boy, Norman let Wally borrow a Pokemon so he could go out and catch his own, with the player watching. He walked out into the grass and encountered a Pokemon that would become his partner.
Yazo: A FUCKING RALTS!? DO YOU REALIZE HOW RARE IT IS TO ENCOUNTER A RALTS ON ROUTE 102? A WHOPPING 4%!!! This kid should apply for the freaking lottery. It took me hours to find one Ralts when I played the game...
Carl: ...Yazo's salt aside, Wally caught the Ralts and became partners with it. It didn't take long before the two were practically inseperable. With his new partner in hand, he returned the gifted Pokemon and set out on his journey to become a great trainer. Which was a bit of a problem considering Wally's condition. While it's never been confirmed what exactly Wally is suffering from, it appears to be some form of asthma. This made Wally rather weak, but that never stopped him from wanting to become a great trainer.
Yazo: *ahem* Throughout his journey, Wally caught many Pokemon and probably fought many battles. Although he didn't help when there were environmental terrorists. Eh, he was probably doing other things.
Carl: Now, Wally isn't encountered many times throughout the story, as he's only required to be battled twice. In the first battle, he's only using his partner, who has been significantly leveled up. But then you don't see him until Victory Road, the end of the game, where he now has a team of five and fights the player once again. He loses, but says that he'll continue training, no matter what.
Yazo: Then there's optional post-game battles with Wally at the Battle Maison. He still has five Pokemon, but they've been leveled up and given better movesets. But then there's the fourth battle. His best and ultimate team. And he finally ditched the fucking Delcatty, because let's be real, it was holding him back.
Carl: And with this team, Wally could challenge the best.
Yazo: The first member of his ultimate team is his Roserade. A Grass and Poison type Pokemon. With its ability, Poison Point, any Pokemon that comes into physical contact with the Bouquet Pokemon has a chance to be poisoned, causing them to slowly lose health over time. With her held item, Bright Powder, she can also lower the accuracy of anyone she fights.
Carl: Shadow Ball is Roserade's first move. It allows Roserade to shoot a projectile of ghostly energy at her foes. Leech Seed is a gimmicky move that will slowly sap the HP of anyone the move hits. Petal Blizzard is exactly what you think it is. A strong blizzard with petals in it. It hits every opponent on the field. And then there's Poison Jab, a move that has Roserade dips one of her limbs in poison and uses it to attack. Sounds risky if you ask me.
Yazo: His next Pokemon is Talonflame, an awesome Fire and Flying type bird! Its ability, Gale Wings, makes it so any flying type move has +1 priority over most others. And its held item is the Life Orb. This sweet thing makes it so all of Talonflame's attacks do even more damage, at the cost of taking a bit of damage itself when dealing an attack.
Carl: Talonflame's attacks are just as strong to boot. Brave Bird is a tackle so strong that it deals recoil damage to Talonflame. It's powered by Gale Wings as well. Flare Blitz is the exact same, except not powered by Gale Wings. Steel Wing has Talonflame turn one or both of his wings into metal, before striking a foe with it. And finally, Tailwind is a status move that increases the speed of Wally's entire team.
Yazo: Then there's Azumarill, a Water and Fairy type Pokemon. Huge Power, Azumarill's ability, doubles Azumarill's Attack stat, turning it from the lackluster 50 to a whopping 100 Attack. And his held item, the Assault Vest, increases Azumarill's Special Defense, making Azumarill more tanky than he already was.
Carl: Azumarill's first attack is Aqua Jet. This is a Water type quick attack variant. It is rather weak, but will guarantee that Azumarill goes first in a combat encounter. Play Rough is a Fairy type move that involves a very fast beatdown. It can lower a target's attack stat. Aqua Tail has Azumarill cover his tail with water and use it to strike a foe. This attack forces a foe to switch out their Pokemon. And Iron Tail is a similar attack, although this covers the tail in metal and doesn't switch out Pokemon.
Yazo: Then there's Magnezone, the Electric Steel type. Its ability is Study, which allows Magnezone to survive a very strong hit on one HP when at full HP. Magnezone's held item is the Air Balloon. This held item makes Magnezone immune to Ground type attacks, but it will pop if hit by a singular attack.
Carl: Thunder Wave has Magnezone shoot a small burst of electricity that deals no damage, but will paralyze a foe, making them slower and have a chance to not move at all. Discharge is a much stronger burst of electricity that hits every foe in the vicinity. Reflect is a summoned shield that increases the physical defense of Wally's entire team. And Flash Cannon is Magnezone's last attack. It has Magnezone shoot a powerful blast of light. This can lower a foe's Special Defense.
Yazo: Then there's Sinnoh's puesdo-legend, Garchomp, a Dragon and Ground type. Anyone who's played the Sinnoh games is probably shaking in their boots, although I don't know if Wally's Garchomp is as strong as Cynthia's. Anyways, Garchomp's ability is Rough Skin, which has a foe take damage when making physical contact with her. The Rocky Helmet has the same effect, and it does stack with Rough Skin.
Carl: Dragon Claw has Garchomp surround her claw with draconic energy and strike the foe. Crunch is a strong Dark type bite that deals a lot of damage. Earthquake is a very strong Ground type move that shakes the very Earth. This attack cannot hit opponents who are in the air. And finally, there's Stone Edge, a Rock type move. This attack is a very strong move that has rocks come from the ground to strike foes. While its strong, it is pretty inaccurate.
Yazo: And then there's Wally's partner. His Ralts, all grown up, now evolved from Ralts, to Kirlia, to Gallade while using a Dawn Stone on Kirlia. Its ability is Steadfast, which increases speed whenever Gallade flinches, making Gallade a speed demon at physical contact. And then there's the Galladite, but we'll talk about that in just a bit.
Carl: Gallade's first move is Psycho Cut, which has Gallade surround his blade with psychic energy, making it stronger. Close Combat is a strong move that has Gallade giving the foe a brutal beatdown. While strong, it does lower Gallade's defense when used. Leaf Blade is similar to Psycho Cut, but surrounding his blade with... grass energy instead of psychic energy. And then there's Swords Dance, which increases Gallade's attack.
Yazo: Back to Gallade's held item, the Galladite. This is a mega stone. Wally holds the key stone that matches with it. When Wally and Gallade bond together, Gallade can achieve a greater power known as Mega Evolution. Mega Gallade is stronger, more durable, and faster than before, making him even more powerful than before. And then there's Gallade's Sync Move, Rallying Close Combat. It's like Close Combat, but even stronger and raises Gallade's critical hit ratio. Now, moving on.
Carl: To start, majority of his team should scale to the Pokemon Tyranitar, who can destroy mountains with relative ease, even upscaling from Tyranitar for the more powerful members of his team, such as Garchomp and Mega Gallade. He should also be able to scale his Pokemon to the player's team, which were capable of fighting Legendary Pokemon, such as Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre.
Yazo: To add onto that, all Pokemon are capable of avoiding the attack, Solar Beam, which is a literal beam of pure sunlight, and Wally's team is no different. Not to mention, Pokemon can all fight evenly with each other, so their attack potency and durability should all scale to each other.
Carl: And Wally himself shouldn't be taken lightly either. He scales to Brendan and May, who survived a 7 meter (22 foot) tall fall, along with scaling to Red, who survived an explosion that destroyed part of a building.
Yazo: But Wally gots his flaws. For example, he's not exactly tough on his own. Take Wally out and his team has to fend for himself. Or just one Pokemon, since Wally needs to send them out individually. Not to mention, Wally's got asthma. Lord knows what'll happen on the battlefield.
Carl: But, sickness or not, Wally has proven to be the best of the best. Like no one ever was.
Yazo: *starts singing the Pokemon theme at the top of his lungs*
Carl: God damnit.
"When I get to spend every day training and battling like this, I really can't help thinking, so… I enjoy every day so much that I really think I finally found where I belong. I…I'm going to keep getting stronger! So please battle with me again!"
Pre-Death Battle[]
Carl: Alright, the combatants are set and we've run the data through all possibilities. Let's end this debate once and for all!
Yazo: Right now, it's time for a DEATH BATTLEEEEE!!!
Death Battle![]
In the middle of the Hoenn region, a tournament was taking place. The crowd was talking among themselves, waiting for the battle to begin. A large banner hung above the commentator's box that read: "Pokemon Trainers vs Heroes, the Final Round" Speaking of the commentator's box, Present Mic and Mr. Aizawa were sitting there, with the mics ready to commentate on the match.
"ALRIGHT EVERYONE! ARE YOU READY!?" Present Mic yelled into the microphone. The crowd cheered in response. "I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!" Present Mic yelled. The crowd cheered even louder. Aizawa sat there in silence. "WELL, IN THAT CASE, LET'S INTRODUCE OUR FIGHTERS FOR TODAY!" Present Mic continued.
"OUR FIRST FIGHTER, HAILING FROM MUSUFATU, JAPAN, IT'S..." Present Mic paused for dramatic effect as one door leading to the arena opened, as Izuku Midoriya walked onto the scene. Half of the audience erupted with applause, as the other half clapped politely. Izuku walked towards the center of the area and stopped, before nervously waving to the crowd. Although, like always, he was rambling to himself.
"Alright... so he's got... six Pokemon if I remember correctly? I haven't been told what any of them were... although I guess he doesn't know what any of my powers are, so I guess that's fair..." Izuku muttered quietly, although he could barely hear himself over the audience. "IT'S IZUKU MIDORIYA, BETTER KNOWN BY HIS HERO NAME, DEKU!!!" Present Mic yelled. Izuku squeaked and resumed waving to the audience. Faintly, he could hear some of his friends.
"You can do it, Deku!" Ochako yelled out. "IF YOU LOSE, YOU GODDAMN NERD, I'M GONNA BEAT YOUR ASS!" Bakugo yelled, ten times louder than basically everyone in the audience. His other friends piped up to, but he could barely hear them over the audience. "AND HIS OPPONENT FOR TODAY, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN..." Present Mic began, as Izuku whipped his head around to the other side of the arena, as the door slowly opened.
"FROM THE TOWN OF PETALBURG, HOENN, IT'S..." Present Mic paused once again for dramatic effect as the Pokemon Trainer stepped out of the door and began to make his way towards the center of the arena as well. A light green haired boy with a pendant dangling around his neck with a Gallade following in his wake. Wally walked towards the center of the arena, right in front of Izuku. Gallade stopped behind Wally, crossed his arms and stared at Izuku.
Wally nodded to Izuku. "Nice to meet you!" He said. "ONE OF THE GREATEST POKEMON TRAINERS WITH HIS SIGNATURE POKEMON, GALLADE, IT'S WALLY!!!" Present Mic yelled. The other half of the audience exploded with cheer. Izuku supposed that must've been Wally's fans. Wally could hear his parents and a few gym leaders cheering for him.
Izuku and Wally turned to each other. Wally extended a hand and Izuku took it. "I hope for a good battle!" Wally said. Izuku nodded. "Same to you!" He said. Releasing from their handshake, the two turned around and walked towards each side of the arena. They both stopped at opposite ends. Izuku gained a fighting stance as Wally, with Gallade behind him, took out a Pokeball.
"Roserade, I choose you!" Wally said, throwing his Pokeball in front of him, as Izuku's body began to crackle with green electricity. The said Pokemon came out of the Pokeball and gained a fighting stance. Izuku narrowed his eyes as he studied the grass-type Pokemon. "This'll be a hard match." He murmured to himself.
"ALRIGHT, EVERYONE READY!? IN 3... 2... 1..." Present Mic said before pausing for dramatic effect. Then, ten times louder then before, he yelled:
FIGHT![]
"Alright, Roserade, let's start things off with Leech Seed!" Wally immediately said as Izuku rushed towards the Grass type Pokemon. "Roserade!" The Pokemon chanted, before shooting seeds at the approaching hero, who took some evasive movement to avoid all of them. The seeds hit the ground and sprouted into small plants.
"Growing seeds? Doesn't look like it will end very well for me if they hit. I should avoid them at all costs." Izuku thought to himself. He flipped over more thrown seeds before flicking an air bullet at Roserade experimentally. Roserade side-stepped like a beautiful dancer, dodging the air bullet, which smashed into a concrete wall, with absolutely no effort. Wally glanced at where the air bullet had impacted.
"So he can attack at a range. I'll need to consider that. Don't underestimate him for any reason whatsoever, Wally." Wally thought, before glancing at Gallade, who gave his trainer an encouraging nod. "Roserade, use Shadow Ball!" Wally shouted. Roserade jumped high into the air and charged up the ghostly energy between her petal arms, before firing it at Izuku.
"Full Cowling - Shoot Style!" Izuku shouted as the green electricity surrounding him increased in intensity. Izuku ran forward and kicked the Shadow Ball, sending it right back to sender. Roserade was struck out of the air by the Shadow Ball, and landed on the ground, although she was still standing. "Crap. He completely outplayed me. I'll need to stay on my toes."
Izuku rushed forward and jumped up once again. "Machester... SMASH!" Izuku said, flipping around for an axe kick. "Oh no you don't! Roserade, Petal Blizzard!" Wally shouted, as Roserade raised her flower arms, creating a windstorm of petals that threw Izuku off balance, causing the hero to soar upward into the air. Izuku struggled to regain his balance in the miniature storm that Roserade had just created.
"Think, Izuku, think! What to do..." Izuku thought as he looked around. The petals were slightly obscuring his vision, causing him to lose track of Roserade. Suddenly, Izuku had an idea. "I got it! I'll use Blackwhip to get myself back to the ground-" But before Izuku could finish the thought, the storm suddenly ceased and Izuku stopped floating in the air.
"Poison Jab!" He heard Wally shout as he fell. Izuku spun around to see Roserade, who had leapt at Izuku from behind whilst he had been tossed into the air. Her flower arm was glowing purple and was seemingly bubbling with toxins. Izuku assumed he wasn't going to enjoy it if he were to touch the purple glowing thing. Reacting quickly, Izuku flipped upside down and caught Roserade's arm with his legs, just a few inches away from the bubbling toxic flower. He proceeded to flip, throwing Roserade towards the ground at a fast pace.
Roserade smashed into the ground, creating a crater while lifting up a cloud of dust and rubble. The crowd fell silent as the dust slowly cleared. When it cleared enough to be seen through, Roserade is revealed to have fainted. "Roserade..." The Pokemon weakly muttered. Wally took out his Pokeball and retreated it in a flash of red light.
"AND JUST LIKE THAT, WALLY'S FIRST POKEMON HAS ALREADY FALLEN! AND I DON'T THINK IZUKU'S EVEN BROKEN A SWEAT!" Present Mic shouted over the microphone. Izuku nervously chuckled. "I did definitely break a sweat. Wally's a better tactician than I gave him credit for..." Izuku said in his thoughts. Wally glanced at the Pokeball in his hand. "You did great, Roserade. Take a rest." He muttered before putting it away and taking out another one. "Izuku's a better fighter than I anticipated. He easily took Roserade out with a single physical attack. Let's go for someone who should do better in the air than Roserade." Wally thought, gripping the Pokeball.
He tossed it forward. "Come on out, Talonflame!" Wally yelled out as the flaming bird Pokemon emerged from the Pokeball and let out a cry, flapping its wings to soar into the air. Izuku took on his fighting stance once again as he tried to keep an eye on Talonflame. "A bird Pokemon... It looks fast. This is gonna be a hard thing to catch." Izuku thought.
Talonflame began to fly around the battlefield while Izuku kept his eye on it. "Talonflame, Tailwind!" Wally commanded. Talonflame flapped its wings as the winds increased in intensity, nearly throwing an uprepared Izuku off of his feet. After some stumbling, Deku managed to keep his balance. "These winds are gonna be difficult to deal with. Doesn't seem like its affected by it though." Izuku thought, glancing at the bird, who wasn't struggling in the intense winds at all.
"Flare Blitz!" Izuku barely heard anything over the intense winds. Talonflame came in for a tackle, covered in flames. Danger Sense kicked in and Izuku managed to leap out of the way, but Talonflame pulled up, the flames disappearing, before the bird could slam into the ground. Izuku tried to flick an air bullet at Talonflame, but it quickly dissipated in the wind. "Crap! This wind is neutralizing my Air Force Gloves!" Izuku thought as he continued trying to track Talonflame. "Wally's got me at a disadvantage... I gotta get rid of this wind!"
Izuku cocked his fist back and prepared to punch forward, but Talonflame suddenly swooped down and hit Izuku in the stomach with a Steel Wing, throwing Izuku across the arena as Talonflame flew back upwards. "I didn't even hear Wally giving Talonflame the command to do that. This wind is a massive problem. I could probably clear it with one of my moves that changes air pressure, but Talonflame's too fast. I gotta distract Talonflame for the moment." Talonflame flew around with another Steel Wing charged, preparing to strike again at high speeds. But this time, Izuku caught the bird's wing and threw Talonflame over his shoulder and into the ground behind him.
"St. Louis... SMASH AIR FORCE!" Izuku yelled, before roundhouse kicking Talonflame, sending the bird hurtling into a wall. The air pressure generated by it caused the Tailwind to dissipate. Talonflame emerged from the rubble and soar back into the air, quickly circling above Izuku. Wally scratched the back of his head. "He managed to remove the Tailwind with an attack that generated air? Izuku's got a lot more than I thought. I gotta stay on my toes." Wally thought as he observed his options. Gallade pointed up at Talonflame, who seemed damaged and covered in scratches. Wally nodded.
"Talonflame's not gonna last much longer like this. Should I last as long as possible or sacrifice Talonflame to deal one large final bit of damage?" Wally strategized. Izuku suddenly jumped up and fired Blackwhip at Talonflame, who spun and avoided it. The Blackwhip disappeared. Izuku landed back on the ground, before glancing down at the ground. "Detroit Smash!" Izuku yelled, punching the ground while channeling his power. The ground of the arena broke into several pieces, as Izuku began to run around, kicking the different chunks towards Talonflame, who managed to evade them.
"Talonflame! Brave Bird!" Wally yelled, as Izuku kicked more rocks at the bird. Talonflame was surrounded in a white light and flew towards the hero, crashing right through the rocks. Talonflame slammed into Deku and dragged him into the sky, before the Brave Bird dissipated and Talonflame grew extremely tired. Izuku wasn't as tired though. "Wyoming... SMASH!" Izuku yelled, before spiking Talonflame right on the head, sending Talonflame immediately back to the ground, crashing.
When the smoke cleared, Talonflame had fainted. As Wally returned Talonflame to its Pokeball, Present Mic spoke again. "AND THAT'S TWO DOWN FOR THE COUNT! IZUKU'S ON A ROLL, BUT LET'S NOT ACT LIKE WALLY DID NOTHING! THAT STRATEGY FROM WALLY WAS AMAZING, AS WAS THE COUNTER TO IT!" Present Mic gushed as Aizawa sat there, contemplating the two boys on the arena. Wally took out another Pokeball and glanced at it. "My last two Pokemon weren't especially defensive. Here's someone who can take some hits." Wally thought before throwing the Pokeball forward.
Appearing in front of Izuku was Azumarill, the Water Fairy Pokemon. He wiggled his ears and tail, before happily chanting "Azumarill!" cheerfully. Izuku prepared himself for the third opponent that Wally was sending. "Azumarill? It looks pretty tanky. I may have to exert more power to properly hurt it..." He thought to himself.
Izuku rushed forward towards the Pokemon. "Detroit SMASH!" Izuku yelled, before punching at Azumarill's stomach. The Pokemon slid back about three feet, not looking phased by the attack. "What? It doesn't even look like it felt anything!" Izuku cried out in his mind. "Azumarill! Use Iron Tail!" Wally said. Azumarill jumped towards Izuku and spun around, her tail turning a silver color. Izuku managed to jump over the attack before attack once again,
"Full Cowl - 30%!" Izuku yelled, before kicking Azumarill, sending the rabbit sliding across the battlefield, although it still didn't seem particularly phased by the attack. Azumarill cheered happily. "Azumarill, use Play Rough!" Wally yelled, as Azumarill rushed forward and began to lay the beatdown on Izuku in a cartoony puff of smoke. Eventually, the attack concluded when Izuku released Fa Jin to launch Azumarill into a wall, but she jumped off of the wall and waddled back onto the battlefield.
"I can't harm this thing! I'm gonna need to up the amount of power if I want to take it out." Izuku concluded. Wally pointed his hand out towards the battlefield. "Aqua Jet!" He shouted, as Azumarill's body began to surround herself in water, before shooting towards him at a much faster speed than before. Izuku leapt back to create a bit of distance between the two, but it was ultimately useless, as Azumarill easily closed the distance.
As Azumarill approached to seemingly tackle Izuku, the hero kicked upward, throwing Azumarill into the air, before flipping back onto his feet. The water around Azumarill dissipated. Izuku activated 100% of Full Cowling before leaping into the air. In an instant, Izuku appeared above the flailing Azumarill. "UNITED STATES OF WORLD SMASH!" Izuku yelled, before releasing a volley of punches before spinning around at an insane speed and releasing a devastating kick.
It sent Azumarill straight back down to the ground, creating a massive crater that caused Wally to block his face with his arms. Izuku lands back on the ground, panting. Eventually, Azumarill hops out of the dust, although covered in scratches. She seemed tired and dazed. Izuku takes his fighting stance once more as Azumarill stands there.
"Azumarill? Are you alright?" Wally yelled out to his Pokemon. Azumarill shook off the brief state of dizziness before shouting back at Wally enthusiastically, and then faced Izuku once again. "It's still standing!?" Izuku questioned in his mind. "Although..." Izuku glanced the Pokemon up and down, noting its clear exhausted state. "...It's probably not gonna last much longer."
"Aqua Jet! Then follow up with Aqua Tail!" Wally commanded. Azumarill's body surrounded herself with water once again and darted towards Izuku at a quick speed. Izuku tried to leap backwards in an attempt to avoid it, but Azumarill quickly closed the distance before swinging her tail, striking Izuku in the stomach and throwing Izuku to the ground, leaving Deku rolling. Soon enough, the hero was back on his feet.
Izuku shot forward and roundhouse kicked Azumarill, using 45% of his power, throwing Azumarill, past Wally, and into a wall, creating debris and dust. Once the dust settled, it revealed that Azumarill had fainted. "Azumarill..." Azumarill muttered, before falling off of the wall and onto her face. Wally retrieved his Pokeball from his pocket as Present Mic activated his microphone.
"AND AFTER SOME CONSIDERABLE EFFORT FROM IZUKU, AZUMARILL'S DOWN FOR THE COUNT! THAT'S HALF OF WALLY'S OUT ALREADY! WHAT COULD WALLY HAVE PLANNED NEXT!?" Present Mic yelled, hyping the match up. Wally returned Azumarill to its Pokeball and nodded at it lightly, before putting the Pokeball away. Wally turned back towards the battlefield, before glancing at Gallade, who gave his trainer a reassuring nod.
"That certainly worked to help tire out Izuku. But if I'm gonna beat him, I'm gonna have to hinder him in some way. Then I can use Garchomp or maybe Gallade to take him out to finish the match." Wally strategized, taking out his next Pokeball. He threw it forward at full force. "Magnezone! I choose you!" Wally shouted, as the mentioned Electric Steel type Pokemon exited the Pokeball.
"Magnezone!" The Pokemon chirped, before turning to face Izuku, its magnets crackling with electricity. Izuku took on his combat stance, ready for more. "Electricity? That could be a problem... It'd be best to avoid it at all costs." Izuku thought to himself. Izuku rushed forward and shot a Blackwhip towards Magnezone, wrapping around the Pokemon.
Izuku swung the Pokemon around and threw Magnezone towards the sky, before firing several air bullets at Magnezone, who managed to stabilize itself in the air. But the Steel Electric Pokemon managed to move out of the way, dodging the air bullets. "Flash Canon!" Wally yelled. Magnezone fired the Steel type move, destroying all of the fired air bullets in the process and flying towards Izuku.
Izuku jumped back, as the Flash Canon fired into the ground in front of him, kicking up debris and throwing Izuku backwards. Magnezone floated back down towards the ground. Izuku fired forward like a bullet and reeled fist back. "DETROIT SMASH!" Izuku yelled out as he prepared to punch Magnezone. Suddenly, over the sound of crackling electricity, Izuku heard Wally yelled, "Reflect!"
A pink shield appeared in front of Magnezone, which blocked Izuku's punch. "Now, Discharge!" Magnezone's body began to surround itself with electricity as the shield disappeared, temporarily leaving Izuku helpless in the air. The electricity shot in all directions, electrocuting Izuku and throwing him across the battlefield, rolling across the ground. Izuku was quick to pick himself back up, although he was panting now.
Magnezone fired another Flash Canon, but Izuku managed to roll out of the way, barely avoiding it. Izuku leaped into the air and held out his hand. "Delaware SMASH!" He yelled, before flicking his finger, creating a wind pressure shock wave that flew directly at Magnezone. It didn't seem bothered by the amount of wind. Izuku flipped into the air. "Manchester SMASH!" He yelled, preparing an axe kick on the Pokemon, but it managed to dart out of the way, causing Izuku to smash the ground, throwing up a bunch of debris and dust.
Izuku jumped out of the debris and kicked Magnezone into the air, causing the Steel Electric type Pokemon to flip wildly. "Magnezone!" Wally cried out, concerned for his Pokemon. Izuku shot upward towards Magnezone like a rocket, using Gearshift to make himself even faster. Slowing down when he was above Magnezone, he quickly scanned the Pokemon.
"That one eye... may be some sort of weak point." He thought to himself, before shooting out a Blackwhip directly at the Pokemon's one eye, throwing Magnezone away. Izuku shot another Blackwhip, quickly wrapping around one of Magnezone's magnets, while flying upwards, pulling Magnezone as well. Izuku started to swing Magnezone around, preparing to throw the Pokemon back down to the ground, but...
"DISCHARGE!" Wally shouted, cupping his hands around his mouth so his Pokemon could hear him. Magnezone made a groaning sound before shaking off the daze and releasing more electricity, which traveled along the Blackwhip and electrocuted Deku. Magnezone managed to shake off the Blackwhip, before quickly flying over to Izuku and tackling him, pushing the hero towards the ground.
Izuku managed to recover from the pain of the electricity, before grabbing Magnezone and lifting it, throwing the Pokemon towards the ground, before using Float to suspend himself in mid-air. Magnezone managed to stop itself before it hits the ground, before floating back in the air, floating around the hero as he continued to suspend himself in the air.
"Magnezone! Use Thunder Wave!" Wally said. Magnezone zipped in and fired a short jolt of electricity at Izuku, which quickly enveloped his body. Before Magnezone could float away, Izuku grabbed the Pokemon by the screw on the top of its head, stopping the Pokemon. Izuku reeled his fist back. "DETROIT SMAAAAAAAAASH!" He yelled, before delivering an overhead punch that arc'd downward, throwing the Pokemon directly towards the ground. Izuku landed next to the Pokemon, glancing at it.
"Magnezone..." It muttered, its singular pupil turned into a spiral, indicated that it had fainted. Wally sighed as he returned it to its Pokeball. "Well, at the very least, Magnezone managed to paralyze Izuku... Now it's just up to my remaining two Pokemon." Wally thought to himself.
"WOOOOAAAAH!" Present Mic shouted over the intercom. "THAT'S FOUR OF WALLY'S POKEMON OUT! WILL IZUKU'S STREAK CONTINUE!? OH, BUT WHAT'S THIS?!?!" Present Mic said, referencing Izuku's current state. The hero fell to his knees, as his body crackled with normal electricity, not the type he usually sported. His expression was filled with pain.
"That last jolt did something to me... I feel... slower..." Izuku rationalized, struggling to get back onto his feet, turning to Wally, who had taken out another Pokeball, before tossing it forward. Out from the Pokeball released a large blueish Pokemon that immediately roared out, nearly shaking the entire arena in the process. Garchomp stomped towards Izuku and stared Deku down.
Izuku and Garchomp rushed towards each other and suddenly disappeared into blurs, clashing against each other in blurs, fist against claws. "Detroit Smash!" Izuku yelled out, before Garchomp on top of his head. Garchomp landed on the ground and slid back a bit, before shaking off the blow. Izuku himself landed on the ground and shook his hand in pain.
"Ow! This creature's skin hurts. I'm probably gonna need to play the long range game against this one." Izuku concluded in his mind, before leaping back and flicking several air bullets at Garchomp, which the dragon managed to avoid. "Stone Edge!" Wally commanded, as Garchomp raises both of her claws, before digging them into the ground. Several stones suddenly jutted out from the ground, coming out in a line towards Izuku. Deku rolled off to the side, as the stones shot past him.
Across the center of the battlefield was now a row of stone spikes. Izuku wrapped around one of the rocks with Blackwhip, before spinning and throwing it directly at Garchomp. "Use Dragon Claw!" Wally shouted. Garchomp's claw surrounded itself in dragonic energy, before the dragon swung it forward, slashing the rock in two, the two pieces slamming into the ground behind Garchomp. Garchomp rushed forward, before taking off from the ground and flying like a jet towards Izuku.
Izuku quickly rolled onto his back as Garchomp flew above him. Deku tried to kick upward at Garchomp, but the Pokemon moved too fast, avoiding the kick. Garchomp soared into the air as Izuku flipped back onto his feet. The young hero watched as Garchomp continued to fly into the air, before circling around and landing over by Wally once again. "Earthquake." Wally whispered. Garchomp raised a foot and stomped it onto the ground.
Almost immediately, the ground began to shake and rumble. The arena cracked into more pieces. It was almost like the entire Earth was shaking. Izuku leapt off of the ground, floating off of the ground. He stared at the ground. "How powerful is this thing!? It's causing the arena to shake!" Izuku thought to himself. He looked up to see Garchomp flying towards him. Izuku reeled a fist back.
"DETROIT- Huh!?" But as Deku threw his punch forward, but Garchomp darted to the side and dodged the punch. "Garchomp, use Crunch!" Wally shouted over the wind pressure that Izuku had unintentionally caused through the Detroit Smash. Garchomp bite down on Izuku's forearm, digging her teeth through Izuku's costume and drawing blood. Izuku cried out in pain as Garchomp jerked her head to the side and threw Deku to the ground. Izuku fought through the pain and gracefully rolled back onto his feet.
"Dragon Claw!" Wally shouts. Both of Garchomp's claws suddenly become surrounded by draconic energy, as the dragon begins to swing wildly at Deku, who backs away from the dragon, the different Dragon Claws striking the ground and throwing up debris. Before Izuku can back up once again, he freezes as electricity crackles across his body.
"The opposing enemy is paralyzed!"
Garchomp tried to swing at Izuku once again, but the young hero raised his arm and effortlessly caught the claw. Izuku darted forward and uppercutted the dragon creature, throwing Garchomp high into the air. Running across the arena at blinding speed and jumping off of the wall to appear above Garchomp.
"I was only using 15% when I attacked you last time. Let's see how you handle 100%!" Izuku yelled, before spinning around. "ST. LOUIS SMASH! 100%!" Izuku yelled at the top of his lungs, before roundhouse kicking Garchomp, throwing the dragon directly back down to Earth. The dragon created a small explosion upon contact with the ground. Gallade jumped in front of Wally and shielded him from the dust and debris flying. As it cleared, Gallade resumed to his position next to Wally.
"Thanks, Gallade." Wally muttered, before glancing back at the battlefield. As he suspected, Garchomp had fainted. Wally returned the Dragon Ground type to its Pokeball while Izuku landed back on the ground and leapt back to create distance between himself and Wally. Wally stared at his Pokeball longingly and nodded. "Good job, Garchomp, you did great." Wally said quietly, before putting the Pokeball away.
"WELL, WILL YOU LOOK AT THAT!? WITH ONE FELL SWOOP, GARCHOMP IS KNOCKED OUT!!! WALLY'S ONLY GOT HIS SIGNATURE GALLADE LEFT! THIS BATTLE'S REALLY HEATING UP!!!" Present Mic yelled, as the crowd exploded with cheer and applause. Part of the crowd was cheering for Izuku, another part cheering for Wally, the third part seeming mixed and incomprehensible.
"How the heck is Izuku still standing? He's tired, bleeding, and used a lot of power. He should be on the brink of fainting! But he seems... fine." Wally said, studying Izuku's posture. Izuku seemed to be struggling to keep upright while taking on his combat pose. Izuku was indeed tired, bleeding, and had used a lot of power. He was mostly running off of adrenaline at this point. Wally glanced over at Gallade, who nodded back at the green-haired boy.
Gallade walked onto the battlefield, staring down Izuku, who stared right back. Green electricity crackled around Izuku's body, as Wally gripped the pendant around his neck. Eventually, Wally pushed down harder on the pendant, causing it to begin glowing. Izuku immediately took notice of this. "Huh? His pendant... it's glowing... Wait, what's going on with his Pokemon!?" Izuku thought as Gallade began to become enveloped in the energy emanating from Wally's pendant, mostly hiding Gallade's body.
Eventually, the energy cleared, revealing Mega Gallade. Gallade yelled out a battle cry as Izuku took on his combat pose once again. "Sword's Dance." Wally whispered. Gallade looked to the sky as phantom swords began to quickly swirl around the Pokemon, eventually fading. Izuku rushed forward and tried to punch Gallade, but the Pokemon managed to sidestep the attack. "Psycho Cut." Wally whispered once again. Gallade's arm blade began to glow a pink energy as he slashed at Izuku, leaving a gash across Izuku's stomach, but the hero hardly noticed.
"TEXAS SMASH!" Izuku yelled, before punching at the ground. The intense wind pressure launched Izuku into the air, while throwing Gallade across the battlefield, but managing to maintain his footing. Izuku soon landed back on the ground. Izuku rushed back towards Gallade. "DETROIT SMASH: QUINTUPLE!" The hero shouted, quickly punching Gallade five times, throwing the Pokemon into a wall. Wally flinched in pain while Gallade was hurt.
"Gallade..." Wally whispered. Gallade was quick to pull himself back onto his feet. Gallade and Izuku quickly rushed towards each other, before disappearing into blurs, before reappearing in several places, clashing against each other. Wally seemed to almost zone out as he began to repeat different moves. "Leaf Blade. Psycho Cut. Leaf Blade. Close Combat. Psycho Cut. Sword's Dance. Leaf Blade. Psycho Cut." Wally whispered over and over again. Every time Wally said a move, Gallade performed said move, clashing against Izuku, who was using a variety of his special moves. "DETROIT SMASH! DELAWARE SMASH! DETROIT SMASH! WYOMING SMASH! TEXAS SMASH! ST. LOUIS SMASH! MANCHESTER SMASH!" Izuku yelled, performing each move in rapid succession.
"UNITED STATES OF WORLD SMASH!" Izuku yelled out. "Close Combat." Wally whispered. The two fighters began to punch rapidly, matching each other blow-for-blow. Each punch created a shockwave that shook the arena more and more. The ground cracked around them. Soon enough, the sounds of punches clashing against each other drowned out the crowd's cheering.
Suddenly, the punches came to an end, as Gallade and Izuku stumbled away from each other, covering in scratches and burns. Wally, Gallade, and Izuku were all panting loudly as the crowd fell silent.
"1,000,000%..."
"Rallying..."
"Delaware..."
"Close..."
"Detroit..."
"COMBAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!"
"SMAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!!!"
Pulling all of their remaining power into their final attack, Gallade and Izuku rushed forward back at each other, before releasing their final attacks. The two attacks clashed against each other, creating another strong guest of wind. This time, the arena and stadium began to crack in half, causing the audience to scream in a panic, while still watching the fight.
The two attacks continue to clash, as the sky begins to turn dark and swirl with storm clouds. Despite the winds and the intensity, Wally stood there, his dutiful gaze unopposed, although he seemed to be struggling just as much as Gallade was. The two continued to clash against each other, until...
"The opposing enemy was paralyzed!"
Izuku's attack was suddenly cancelled, that jolt of electricity stunning Deku. With nothing to impede his progress, Gallade turned the attack on Izuku himself, using Rallying Close Combat on Izuku, delivering a beat down on the young hero, beating him senselessly. Eventually, Mega Gallade delivered the final blow, punching Izuku one final time and throwing Deku across the area, slamming into the wall with enough intensity that the crowd collectively flinched. Wally and Gallade, did not.
Suspense and tension grew as the dust floated around Izuku. Once it cleared, it revealed an unconscious Deku, who fell onto the ground, face-first, the last crackle of green electricity fading out as the hero slumped to the ground.
K.O!!!
Gallade reverted to his normal form as Wally walked up to his Pokemon. The two shared a nod, before glancing over at Izuku. The two walked over slowly and kneeled down. Izuku was still very much unconscious. Gallade carefully picked up the hero and stood up, followed by Wally. They glanced off to the side and saw a gaggle of different U.A. students rushing towards them, concerned for their friend (well, most of them were concerned. Katsuki was more concerned about beating Izuku's ass for losing).
Wally chuckled as he began to walk towards them, followed by his Gallade. "You were probably one of my toughest opponents, Izuku. I enjoyed our fight." Wally said to the unconscious hero, who stirred lightly in his rest.
Results[]
Yazo: Not gonna lie, probably one of my favorite battles to date!
Carl: This battle was an interesting one to analyze. Mostly because these two had so many different parts of their arsenal to throw at each other. It made it very interesting to see who would win.
Yazo: When it came down to actual stats, Izuku would body Wally, no difficulty. Wally, at most, could destroy a wall. Izuku could clear away a storm at his peak. Not to mention, Izuku was a lot faster than Wally physically. Wally may be able to perceive light-speed Pokemon battles, but Izuku can dodge light speed lasers.
Carl: But it's not like this fight would ever come down to Wally having to fight on his own. Izuku would be fighting Wally's six different Pokemon. When it came down to it, Izuku was actually stronger than Wally's weaker Pokemon (namely all of them with the exception of Gallade). They could scale to Tyranitar's feat of demolishing a mountain. At most, that's about 4.3 Gigatons. That pales in comparison to Izuku's 120 Gigaton storm feat.
Yazo: And when it came to speed, well... both could scale to light-speed stuff, but Wally still held the advantage here. Especially considering that Talonflame had priority with Brave Bird and Gale Wings, while also being able to boost the entire team's speed with Tailwind, essentially making Wally's entire team faster than Izuku. But even without it, even Wally's slowest member, Azumarill, could move at even speed with Izuku.
Carl: Back to their strength, while Izuku was physically stronger than most of them, Mega Gallade had Izuku beat out. Mega Gallade could scale to the Primal Forms of Groudon and Kyogre, who were implied to be able to stop Grand Meteor Delta, which would've potentially destroyed the entire planet. That's way above Izuku's 120 Gigaton storm feat. Like, much, much higher.
Yazo: Plus, Wally's team had so much versatility that Izuku could've easily gotten overwhelmed. While Wally could've been overwhelmed as well, Wally's got more practice when it comes to commanding his Pokemon to do things, so he's not gonna be as overwhelmed as Izuku would be. Especially considering that anything that Izuku could throw at Wally, chances are he's seen it before. Moves like Earthquake, Sword's Dance, and other ones like that, Izuku's never had to deal with that.
Carl: Besides, Wally's negative stat changing moves, namely Leech Seed and Thunder Wave, would heavily impact Izuku, as he would have no way to remove it. And Wally's team could definitely land these moves, considering all of them scaled to the same speed, which was similar to Izuku's.
Yazo: And their intelligence and experience hardly mattered. Both were equally experienced in combat and were pretty even when it came to smarts. Both were very book smarts and had studied other heroes/Pokemon trainers. So yeah, equal in that shit.
Carl: Izuku was smart, experienced, strong, and was certainly a capable hero, but Wally was too strong, similarly fast, just as smart, just as experienced, and too overwhelming for Izuku to overcome.
Yazo: Wally really went "Beyond Plus Ultra"! Izuku should've "trained" harder for this "cause"!
Carl: ...That was horrible. The winner is Wally.

NEXT TIME ON DEATH BATTLE![]
We usually like playing video games! They bring us much joy! But these two...
"Ahaha... Some president I am, right? I can't even confront my own club members properly... I just wish I was able to be a little more assertive sometimes. But I never have it in me to put my foot down against others... You understand, right? Anyway... If this makes you want to spend less time with the others, then that's fine. I'd be happy to spend time with you instead..."
...bring a Pixelated Nightmare. Shouldn't have said Okie Doki.
"I am scared."
Time for a remake, motherfuckers.
