Deku vs Gumball is an upcoming fanon Death Battle episode by DuchessTheSponge featuring Deku from My Hero Academia and Gumball from The Amazing World of Gumball.

Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle.
Deku Decks in DEATH BATTLE![]
(Cue: Peace Sign)
Wiz: While they can not beat the classic anime series, we have a lot of great anime series from the new generation such as Demon Slayer and Jutusu Kaisen.
Boomstick: and one of the most notable new generation anime series is My Hero Academia and the main character of this series is of course Izuku Midoriya or "Deku" for short.
Wiz: The name "Deku" means as the Japanese abbreviation "Dekunobou" which means "Good for Nothing" in English going to show Deku really is not that well treated.
Boomstick: Well shucks, I feel bad for that guy. What also makes this more bad for Deku is that his best friend Bakugou has been borned with incredible powers meanwhile Deku got a terrible part of birth... wait... did I just say Deku's best friend is Bakugou?
Wiz: Yes you did and it's actually true, they were best friends.
Boomstick: WHAT THE HECK? YOU'RE TELLING ME DEKU AND BAKUGOU ARE FRIENDS? BUT DURING THEIR CHILDHOOD BAKUGOU WOULD ABUSE DEKU, BULLY HIM, AND TELL HIM TO KILL HIMSELF! HOW COULD SOMEONE BE FRIENDS WITH A GUY LIKE THAT?
Wiz: That is just a normal modern day friendship for you. Deku also had his fair share of being scared. For example, he was too scared to use his quirks. Deku's life then changed for the better when his hero All-Might saved him. After Deku got All-Might's quirk he ruled in the UA economy. Ever since Deku saved Bakugou from the slug monster, All-Might saw what it takes to be a hero and trained him for the next 10 months one for all to make Deku his sucessor.
Boomstick: Wait so All-Might's quirks can be passed onto someone else if he wants?
Wiz: Yes but the person who got the person who have the quirk passed needs to take the DNA of the person coming to him.
Boomstick: Alright, I think I'm gonna be sick. Anyways there is another flaw with My Hero Academia which is his dad is missing there too. Why does this always happen? Literally every hero protagonist always have them losing their dad, isn't that silly?
Wiz: Yup, basically just the generic thing about what heroes are made nowadays.

Wiz: Don't you just love to just sit back on your couch as a kid and just watch some good old Cartoon Network? Well, I'm sure we all do.
Boomstick: I easily do. Infact I have a lot of favorite shows from that channel like Regular Show and Adventure Time though another good Cartoon Network cartoon to watch in your spare time is The Amazing World of Gumball.
Wiz: Gumball was just your average child rised by Nicole Watterson and Richard Watterson with his little sister Anais and his pet gold fish Darwin, he may look like just a generic cartoon child if you didn't watch the show but when you start watching Gumball, you will start to realize he's way and we mean, way more than that.
Boomstick: Gumball has been having crazy speed as a kid, he was able to save Darwin before Richard could flush him down the toilet. Let's also not forget he can turn super saiyan like wow, that was extremely awesome to witness.
Wiz: Gumball has toon force like other cartoon characters so he has the hax advantage when it comes to fighting. Also let's not forget to mention the world of Gumball is insane, there are so many realistic themes and Gumball has met an interesting amount of people in his life through that.
Boomstick: He also has a few decent weaponry. Remember the universal remote? That thing could easily destroy the universe if he wants to.
Wiz: Yep, I remember that. Also, let's not forget that one time Gumball and Darwin tanked the Big Bang or how about that one time where when Richard got a job he was able to break the universe due to how fat he is?
Boomstick: Oh damn, the Gumball world really is that OP? I'm really excited to see this matchup now. Now I really can see why people requested him to go up against SpongeBob.
Wiz: More powers Gumball has is that he has plot manipulation, shape shifting, being able to possess people, can discrete people, create voids, was able to fuse in with Darwin, the list goes on.
Boomstick: Woah-oh. This really shows that kid cartoons should never be overshadowed, I'm honestly very impressed about this. Aren't his parents like Nicole also very strong? I mean we already talked about Richard but what about Nicole and Anais.
Wiz: Yeah, his family is just as powerful or even sometimes above him. Anais is very smart and Nicole has the power of anime, I mean she once fight someone and it was in an insanely good anime style. The Amazing World of Gumball really knows how to capture media we love.
Boomstick: No wonder why this is one of the most popular shows on Cartoon Network, such a shame it ended back in 2019 and on a cliff hanger.
Wiz: Yea, oh well. At least it's coming up with a movie so it could return.

- The connections between Izuku Midoriya and Gumball Watterson are:
- Both are young heroes placed in unique worlds (In the MHA universe, 80% of Earth's population have superpowers, and Elmore is a haven for literally anything possible) who were originally created with somewhat "darker" intentions (In a 2008 one-shot, Izuku was supposed to remain Quirkless, and during development, TAWOG was a series about rejected cartoon characters going to a miserable school), although overtime, their creators (Kohei Horikoshi and Ben Bocquelet) started taking inspirations from their idols (Stan Lee and Bill Watterson), which gave us the franchises we know today.
- Initially considered "normal" (Izuku was Quirkless, and Gumball discovered he was the only one at school without a special power) and distraught over it, they eventually found their true power thanks to their wise, mentor-like figures (All Might inherited One for All to Izuku, and Darwin helped Gumball learn his body was malleable).
- Although their personalities are polar opposites (Izuku is courageous and selfless, and Gumball is lazy and selfish), they never forget to keep their optimism around even in dire situations (Izuku knew he could take on Muscular despite still being a noob with OFA, and Gumball tried to lift his family's spirits when the show's budget was running out). Most of these situations lead to them having to face the risk of death, especially due to their high determination (Izuku damn well nearly destroyed himself in the villain war, and Gumball almost died just so Tobias could slap his ass), but due to their personalities and pain tolerance, they manage to come out fine (Izuku always saves people with a smile just like All Might even if it means breaking his bones, and Gumball tends to underestimate his opponents only to survive at the end thanks to his regeneration).
- Accompanied by the stoic, intelligent one with little to no social skills (Todoroki and Anais), the honorable friend who always takes things seriously (Iida and Darwin), and the bubbly, sensitive love interest who can become determined and intimidating at will (Ochaco and Penny), life isn't always perfect for them, as both often have to fend off the arrogant, immature villain (Shigaraki and Rob) who are highly cunning, have tall, slim bodies, and feel as though the world needs to revolve around them (Shigaraki wants hero society to be destroyed in his own hands, and Rob doesn't want Gumball to be the star of the show).
- However, these villains were revealed to have been misunderstood - somewhat (Shigaraki was abused by All for One so he could hate heroes, in fact Izuku heard a crying child deep within him, and Rob tried to transform everybody into humans so he could warn them about the universe falling apart).
