Wiz: Two pairs of demonic brothers. Sons of all powerful demon fathers.
Boomstick: Always picking a fight with their sibling, badass in every frickin' way.
Wiz: And most importantly, demons who uphold legendary power
Boomstick: Inuyasha & Sesshomaru. Demon half brothers and sons of The Inu-No-Taisho.
Wiz: And Dante & Vergil. The half demon brothers and sons of Sparda.
Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz: And its our job analyze their weapons, armor, and skill to find out who would win... a Death Battle!
Inuyasha and Sesshomaru[]
Wiz: Long ago in feudal Japan, lived Toga. Who was also known as the Inu-No-Taisho. The Dog Demon King of the western lands. A legendary demon warrior who was the strongest of all demons. He had two sons, and 2 different wives.
Boomstick: My man! Anyways, his first son was a full fledged Demon that he named "Sesshomaru" who was the son of his first wife (Who's name is unknown). Sesshomaru saw himself to be a royal in the demon land as being the child of one of the greatest conquerors in history, he was the only child that was entirely a demon as his father and mother were of pure blood Inu Demon.
Wiz: Sesshomaru just like most young boys, looked up to his father and was dedicated to intense training to get his attention. Sesshomaru excelled at everything he did, and was certainly the most powerful demon under his dad. A perfect swordsman, always was composed, very intelligent, and a master strategist. He didn't see himself weak in any way but for sure was cold and conceited. And this is what worried his father.
Boomstick: Growing up, Sesshomaru thought his father would grant him his legendary blades, the Tessaiga and Sounga if he proved himself to be strong to do so. But he started to hear rumor's that his father was developing feelings for a human woman. And later, to his shock, found out these rumor's were true.
Wiz: When the Inu-No-Taisho's human love found out she was pregnant, she was sent to her human family were it was thought that she would be save...
Boomstick: But for humans, having an affair with demons is a BIG NO NO.
Wiz: While the Inu-No-Taisho on the other hand was dealing with the dragon lord who went by the name of Ryukotsusei. The two lords fought each other in an epic battle as both demon lords were constantly rivalling each other but in the end, the Inu-No-Taisho barely won.
Boomstick: After his battle, he found out that his second son was being born but he and his human wife were in danger from mobs of their own people. His son was especially in danger because he was not of pure demon blood. He was the son of a human mother. He would be born a half demon, which were never accepted by society. While severely injured, he informed his eldest son Sesshomaru he would go to save his family. Sesshomaru knowing it was going to be the last time he ever saw his dad, demanded that he would be given the Tessaiga and Sounga.
Wiz: That very night the Hanyou was born, the Inu-No-Taisho was killed in battle while defending his wife and son. Before his death, he named his son "Inuyasha". Since Half demon were never accepted by they society they lived in, Inuyasha lived a painful and lonely childhood. And sadly since a demon lived longer than a human, Inuyasha as a child eventually outlived his mother, having no one by his side at all for over a hundred years.
Boomstick: Since he could barely fight back being a child at the time, Inuyasha was forced into hiding from hostile demons and these situations left him frustrated at the very least.
Wiz: Following years of hiding, Inuyasha met his first love Kikyo. Things at first were looking up as they intended on using the Shikon Jewel to turn Inuyasha into a human so both could live a normal life together until another half demon came into the picture. His name was Naraku, who tricked Inuyasha and Kikyō to betraying one another, which ended with Kikyo dying and inuyasha sealed to a tree for fifty years.
Boomstick: Damn, this guy really did have a rough life. Anyways I'll make this short. Kikyo is reincarnated into the future as a girl called Kagome, who is called back in time, and frees Inuyasha by breaking his seal. But we aren't here to talk about love interests so lets jump into the starting of a brotherly bond between Inuyasha and Sesshomaru.
Wiz: One fateful night following the past few days of his release from the seal, Inuyasha encountered Sesshomaru who was in search of their father's legendary blade "Tessaiga" . Sesshomaru had tricked Inuyasha into informing him that the Tessaiga was in their fathers tomb, in which Sesshomaru had opened a portal and made his way to, with Inuyasha on his tail. The two were engaged in a battle which ultimately ended in Inuyasha gaining the Tessaiga and Sesshomaru losing his arm.
Boomstick: And ever since then, things have gotten out of HAND for the dog demon brothers.
Wiz: UGH!
Boomstick: Ever since then, Inuyasha and Sesshomaru fought lots, and LOTS of times. Then again, what two brothers don't fight a lot? Huh! I mean nothing speaks brotherly love better then...

Wiz: These two brothers were surely destined for greatness. Acquiring all sorts of weapons throughout their journey. Aside from both dog demon brothers have enhanced speed, strength, agility, stamina, durability, healing, longevity, flight, senses, and reflexes.
Boomstick: That's … a lot.
Wiz: They have quite the arsenal to back them up in a fight they get into. For Inuyasha, his mother had given him the robe of the fire rat. A hakama that protects Inuyasha from even the most hottest of flames and it can even heal on its own. He also can shred the toughest of materials with his Iron Reaver Soul Stealer, and even turn his own blood into a weapons with his Blades Of Blood.
Boomstick: But his real power lies within his fang. The Tessaiga. It can dispatch demons with simple slashes and firing small concentrated bursts of demonic energy. This sword can manipulate winds and fire them at blasting speeds with enough power to demolish mountains. Attacks like The Wind Scar.
Wiz: With the Backlash Wave, Inuyasha can fire an opponents demonic energy right back at them.
Boomstick: The Red Tessaiga can destroy barriers with ease and can even shoot out The Wind Scar but capable of destroying barriers at long range.
Wiz: The Adamant Barrage can shoot out dozens of diamond splinters in mere seconds completely decapitating the opponent.
Boomstick: The Dragon Scale Tessaiga can absorb a demons demonic energy and can even free people possessed by a demon.
Wiz: And the Meido Zangetsuha can break an oponents body and then send them to the depths of the netherworld.
Boomstick: Oh, and did I mention that whenever it senses danger, Tessaiga's barrier can form an incredibly tough barrier to protect whoever is wielding it? Yep, there is no denying it. Tessaiga is one hell of a weapon. But what about Inuyasha's bro? What about his weapons?
Wiz: Sesshomaru just like Inuyasha has a wide range of weapons, only being a full fledged demon, his arsenal is even bigger than that of Inuyasha's. On his own, he can form a light whip out of his bare hands, and swing it and blinding speeds. His claws can fire an array of toxins that can disintegrate nearly anything it comes into contact with. He has the ability to teleport, his fur can stretch to great lengths and wrap around its victims. He wears demon armor over his kimono which just like Inuyasha's robe of the fire rat, can even heal itself. To add to all that, Sesshomaru has excellent olfaction and is able to determine circumstances by scents on the wind.
Boomstick: And we haven't covered his swords. Lets start of with Tokijin.
Wiz: Tokijin was a great sword that was forged from the fangs of Goshinki, which was both commissioned to be forged and subsequently wielded by Sesshōmaru. This sword wields a deadly aura, can unleash energy slashes, provides a kenatsu, has a protective barrier...
Boomstick: Oh YEAH! And its the lighter of the infamous Dragon Strike. Tokijin's signature attack, when Sesshomaru charges his demonic energy into Tokijin and unleashes it in devastating blasts of lightning. Unfortunately it broke.
Wiz: Then there is Tensaiga. This sword can't really kill, but can hurt whatever is not apart of its world.
Boomstick: Bummer. But this sword can revive the dead, kill the living dead, create a protective barrier when it senses danger, and just like Tokijin, can light the infamous dragon strike.
Wiz: Lastly there is Bakusaiga. Sesshomaru's most powerful sword.
Boomstick: AND IT IS BROKEN AS HELL! If this sword cuts anything, even the smallest scratch will unleash a green wave of corrosion that will eat away whatever it has slashed.
Wiz: And no amount of regeneration can stop it. This sword in one strike, can fall a thousand demons in one simple stroke.
Boomstick: Damn, when it comes to arsenal, these demon brothers don't play around. And to add a boost to their stats, they throw away everything and go berserk when they transform. Inuyasha transforms into a full fledged demon where nothing matters to him, he's even more vicious and aggressive and endure a lot more then he usually could, and doesn't hesitate to kill. Whereas his brother Sesshomaru, can transform into a giant dog, and beat the life out of whoever decided it was a good idea to piss him off.
Wiz: Indeed. Through their lives, Inuyasha and Sesshomaru have had their differences and rivalry but often, they have joined forces to take on enemies that have ticked them off. Throughout the end of the series, they have molded a better bond between them (Not the best bond, but a far better one then they used to have), and have ended off their battle against Naraku, fighting side by side. Together, these two are a force to be reckoned with.
Inuyasha's Greatest Quote: "Not really a demon, not really human. I'm not either. That's all. There was no place for me, so I had to find one myself. And then I realized. I had a place, but I was the only one in it. I didn't know any other way to live."
Sesshomaru's Greatest Quote: "I seek nothing more than to battle the most powerful beings alive, which excludes the lowly likes of you."
Dante and Vergil[]
Wiz: Two thousand years ago, a war had erupted within the depths of the demon world. As Mundus, found himself under attack by a rebellion, non other than the demon warrior, Sparda who in the end defeated the prince of darkness, and separated the human world from the demon world.
Boomstick: When sealing the netherworld, he realised that his power had grown too strong, and so he sealed himself and his own demonic power in as well. Sparda would continue to influence the human world with his presence. Ever since, Sparda ruled over the humans, and was then married to Eva, a human women who by the 20th century birthed two badass half demons which as I'm sure, we all know. Dante AND Vergil.
Wiz: Just like their opponents, Vergil and Dante hated each other since the day they stepped into the world. They were opposites as Dante was a simpleton/goofball, while Vergil was solemn/serious. But one fateful night, their lives would change forever.
Boomstick: By the time the little half demons turned eight, demons who wanted vengeance found their opportunity.
Wiz: Before their eighth birthday, Eva gave Dante and Vergil each a half of the Perfect Amulet. Around the same time, Sparda disappeared and later died from unknown circumstances, and Eva and the twins were left vulnerable. At some point after these events, demons were sent by the Prince of the Underworld "Mundus" and ambushed their home, setting part of it ablaze. During the attack, Dante was hidden within the house as his mother was killed right in front of his very eyes. While Vergil was playing alone at a playground a few yards from the house, where he was ambushed and soon, he found himself in a cemetery surrounded by demons as he saw his house burning in the distance. Vergil then went on the run to discover a suspicion that would haunt him for the rest of his life.
Boomstick: Once the attack was over, Dante had ran into hiding, while Vergil went missing and eventually died...
Wiz: Well that's what everyone thought but really, Vergil was alive and sought out his own path dedicated for his father's immense power. Whereas Dante who's mother was dead and not knowing whereabouts his brother may be, Dante knew he had one thing to do. Become the strongest half demon of all demons, and take revenge on Mundus for killing his family.
Boomstick: Vergil held no one but himself responsible for not being able to protect his mother, so he cast aside his humainity and made a living to obtain any sort of power necessary. Whereas Dante went on to hate his inner demon and demonic culture and heritage.

Boomstick: Revenge. Don't it taste sweet? Demon after demon, Dante has slaughtered dozens of them throughout his life. And he does it without a care in the world. I mean how could someone like Dante not be so cocky and badass. When you have his powers, what IS there to take seriously?
Wiz: Just like his brother vergil who is an extraordinary swordsman in which both brothers are living up to surpass their fathers legend. As half demons, they can jump several feat in the air, go faster than the eye can see, obtain enhanced strength and durability…
Boomstick: And they have got INSANE regeneration. They get stabbed like every day in body parts anyone would need to live, and yet they just shrug it off like mosquito bites. Yeah, it should be clear to you by now why they really don't take their opponents to seriously. I mean they have bodied with some of the strongest demons in the demon without too much trouble.
Wiz: This is all thanks to their demonic nature, and arsenal. For Dante, he has his favorite dual pistols, Ebony and Ivory. Two, trademark pair of personally customized, semi-automatic pistols, designed to rapidly fire bullets instilled with his demonic power that can obliterate demons in a single shot. And his enormous sword Rebellion. His trademark sword. Though it has the form of a standard sword, it is a magical blade originally created when the Dark Knight Sparda split his power.
Boomstick: And that's only a spec of his arsenal. Throughout his demon hunting days, Dante has gotten his hands on additional weapons called Devil Arms.
Wiz: The Gilgamesh Gauntlets increase his striking power.
Boomstick: Lucifer is a skull shaped backpack that shoots out demonic-charged swords which can explode when Dante's gives his command.
Wiz: Nevan is a devil arm that contains powerful electricity and bloodthirsty bats by jamming on this demonic guitar, and its sickle attack is deadly.
Boomstick: Then there's Pandora. A suit case that can, I kid you not, transform into 666 different and devastating forms, some of which are powered by the weapon's Disaster Gauge
Wiz: His dual swords Agni and Rudra which hold the power of fire and wind, respectively. They generally fight together as a team and use powerful, single strike attacks. While separate, they will both imbue their blades with their respective elements to augment their attacks.
Boomstick: And Cerberus which is a triple nunchaku that can stretch to incredible lengths, and is infused with the power of ice.
Wiz: Dante has learned different types of styles which are abilities they have obtained from defeating demon bosses. Doppel Ganger style allows him to clone himself. Trickster style allows him to teleport in the blink of an eye. Royal Guard style allows him to charge up a guard gauge to increase its release damage. And Quick Silver style allows him to slow down time.
Boomstick: As for Vergil, he carries a katana on him. A katana known as Yamato. This sword can cut anything. Even dimensions. Then Vergil has his Summoned Swords. This technique allows Vergil to carry multiple, magically generated swords at once. He can even blast them at his opponents at blinding speeds.
Wiz: Then Vergil has Beowulf. A set of flash gauntlets and greaves that can take out some of the toughest of demons out there in a blink of an eye.
Boomstick: And yes, there is still one more thing in Dante and Vergil's arsenal that we haven't yet covered.
Wiz: When the going really gets tough, Dante and Vergil can access a form known as Devil Trigger and Devil Trigger Sin. This is all thanks to their demon blood. This form allows both Dante and Vergil to amplify everything. Speed, strength, healing etc.
Boomstick: This form gives all their stats a huge boost when they decide its time to get serious, making the half demon brothers, even more deadlier then they already were.
Wiz: Dante and Vergil throughout their lives, have carried out feats beyond what any could imagine. And as many know, Dante completed his revenge when he defeated Mundus. Throughout his life, he and his brother Vergil have defeated demons of high ranking. They have made the impossible, possible.
Boomstick: They can fight at blinding speeds, shrug off wounds like nothing, and previously stated, have taken down demons of high status. Although Dante has done most of the work, and Vergil and Dante have only worked together once or twice, properly.
Wiz: They have their flaws, and more individual rather than working as a team, but overall have still bested the toughest of their opponents when these two brothers have joined forces
Dante's Greatest Quote: "Trish … Devils never cry … These tears, tears are a gift only humans have. And we humans, never give up … Are you ready?"
Vergil's Greatest Quote: "Foolishness, Dante. Foolishness. Might controls everything, and without strength you cannot protect anything, let alone yourself."
Pre-Death Battle[]
Wiz: Alright the combatants are set. Let's end this debate once and for all
Boomstick: It's time for a DEATH BATTLE
Battle[]
THIS FIGHT WILL TAKE PLACE IN FEUDAL JAPAN
Sesshomaru was wondering through the mountains of where he fought Shishinki a few years ago. He had left Rin, Jaken, and A-Un back at Lady Kaede's village because Sesshomaru was sensing trouble lurking, and he knew something big was going to happen this day and he knew it was going to happen right in these mountains.
Meanwhile Inuyasha was at Lady Kaeda's village. He was wandering when he heard some travelers speak.
Traveler #1: These two swordsman are unlike anything, folks like us have ever seen.
Traveler #2: Oh please! I bet the demon Sesshomaru would handle these so called warriors without much trouble.
Traveler #3: I wouldn't be so sure. If what we are hearing is right, then these two demons could even give Sesshomaru the fight of his life.
Inuyasha: And just what on earth are you talking about?
Inuyasha said as he leapt forward to the travelers.
Traveler #3: You mean you haven't heard? Rumor speaks that two Half Demons have come across these lands. They uphold enormous power. Power that rivals that of Sesshomaru's. Their names are Dante and Vergil.
Inuyasha: AND WHERE ARE DANTE AND VERGIL?!
Traveler #1: We are not sure, but last we heard, they in the mountains not to far from here.
Inuyasha thought to himself.
Inuyasha: Those mountains are where I saw Sesshomaru head out for. What if he? He better not be doing anything stupid.
Inuyasha: MOVE IT! Out of my way!
Inuyasha yelled as he ran towards the mountains.
Sesshomaru continued his search until he saw someone. A half demon, wearing red, with silver hair. Sort of like Inuyasha. And he was accompanied by his brother, Vergil.
Vergil: So your the Lord Sesshomaru.
Sesshomaru: And I presume you are the half demons I've heard much about. Dante and Vergil.
Dante: Wow! I've never seen a talking mutt before.
Sesshomaru grew an annoyed look on his face, and then place his hand on his Tenseiga.
Dante: Woah! Easy there Fido. You know, you and I are pretty much the same from what I've heard. Its almost feels like I'm looking in a mirror.
Sesshomaru: Do not compare me to a lowly halfbreed such as yourself.
Dante: OOOH! I think I've made him mad! Here puppy, puppy, puppy. How 'bout an ass beating as a special treat?
Vergil on the other hand look more annoyed than amused.
Vergil: I have come here for a worthy opponent and from what I have heard Sesshomaru, you seem to offer a challenge. I assume that is what you want as well. Isn't that why you made your way up here?
Sesshomaru readied his Tenseiga. Vergil took hold of his Yamato. Then all of a sudden...
Inuyasha: SESSHOMARU!
Dante and Vergil looked up to see Inuyasha leap beside Sesshomaru.
Sesshomaru: I thought I told you not to follow me!
Inuyasha: You and I both know I rarely ever listen to you. I came to help you fight because fighting these two half demons on your own was pretty stupid.
Dante: Well well well, looks like the party's gettin' started. I think I'll take the mutt with dog ears.
Inuyasha: I HEARD THAT!
Vergil: Do as you see fit, I would enjoy the challenge from the older brother.
All four demons drew out their weapons
FIGHT!
Dante engaged Inuyasha by firing Ebony and Ivory at long range, but Inuyasha managed to dodge these rapid bullets and countered him back.
WIND SCAR!
A wave of energy went flying at Dante at blinding speeds, but Dante dodged it effortlessly. Inuyasha roared and leaped right towards Dante continuously swinging his Tessaiga in the hopes of catching him but Dante was just too fast. Dante laughed.
Dante: Looks like someone forgot how to chill. I guess your mother didn't stick long enough to teach you about manners.
Inuyasha: Your one to talk. I couldn't expect anything else from a rip-off such as yourself.
Dante: Enough talk, lets fight!
Dante drew Rebellion as Inuyasha continued to get closer, and closer.
They clashed swords and came to a standstill but Inuyasha pushed Rebellion out of the way and slashed Dante multiple times.
Inuyasha: Got ya!
Dante: Guess again
Inuyasha thought that was the end of it, but he didn't know about Dante's insane regeneration factor. To his surprise, Dante got up effortlessly, and healed his wounds. He started laughing while Inuyasha was ticked off.
Dante: Hahaha, like most dogs, I guess your all bark and no bite.
Inuyasha: I'll make you eat those words!
Inuyasha leapt forward and swung his Tessaiga, only for Dante to dodge it with ease, and then he swung at Inuyasha multiple times with Rebellion. He then knocked the Hanyou off the ground, and started to constantly shoot at Inuyasha, with Ebony and Ivory. Inuyasha was struck multiple times. Though his regeneration factor wasn't as good as Dante's, his wounds were manageable.
Inuyasha: That all ya got, goof-brain?
Inuyasha leapt into the air yet again. Dante started shooting at him, but this time Inuyasha ripped some skin of his arms, gathered some blood and yelled
BLADES OF BLOOD!
Inuyasha's Blades of Blood were enough to destroy the bullets Dante had fired, and Inuyasha came down yelling
IRON REAVER SOUL STEALER!
Dante swiftly moved from the spot, Inuyasha claws smashed which left a massive crater in the mountain.
Inuyasha: I'll still beat your ass but I'll admit. I under estimated you.
Dante: I didn't.
Inuyasha: Why you arrogant son of a-
Inuyasha jumped towards Dante and clashed Tessaiga with Rebelllion. Inuyasha tried to land his claws on him again, but Dante beat him to the punch. Literally. He punched Inuyasha several feat back.
Dante: Angry and clumsy. And here I was thinking you would give me a run for my money.
Dante drew out Agni and Rundra and started attacking Inuyasha. Thankfully, Agni's powers were fire based, so Inuyasha's Robe of The Fire Rat managed to withstand its attack's, but he wasn't so lucky with Rudra. Inuyasha was knocked back but before charging, he activated his Dragon Scale Tessaiga and clashed with Rudra. Dante held him back but what he didn't know was that since Rudra being a devil arm had a demonic aura, its energy was being absorbed by Inuyasha's Dragon Scale Tessaiga. Since Inuyasha had a limit to how much Yoki he could absorb, he couldn't take away all of Rudra's energy but it still proved affective when Dante realized Rudra wasn't as powerful as it used to be.
Dante: Clever. Didn't know half demons could do that.
Inuyasha: If you heard so much about me, then you would know that I'm full of surprises.
Dante then pulled out Lucifer and fired countless swords that were supercharged with demonic power. Inuyasha raised his Tessaiga and yelled
BACKLASH WAVE!
Dante realized his attack was sent right back at him with the added power of the wind scar, all thanks to Inuyasha's backlash wave. Dante was impaled by these swords, but prevented them from exploding at his command. Dante then yanked each and every sword out of his body. Inuyasha then blindly charged only to get effortlessly punched back by Dante. Inuyasha growled in frustration.
Dante: Woah! Easy there fella. Hey … I remember a stinky little pooch just like you. Come on little puppy! I'll take you out for a walk. Come on. Lets go!
Inuyasha: DON'T MOCK ME YOU COCKY BASTARD!
Inuyasha being the hot tempered Hanyou he is, had officially lost it.
As Inuyasha and Dante were exchanging blows, Vergil and Sesshomaru were having an all out battle. One that involved less talking. Both Vergil and Sesshomaru were very evenly matched as they constantly matched blows with each other, neither able to hit the other. The two clashed blades for a short standstill, but Vergil broke the stand and started pushing Sesshomaru back. Sesshomaru rose his Tenseiga and swung it at Vergil who blocked it with his Yamato. Vergil was confused.
Vergil: Tell me. What good is a sword that can't even kill. What kind of demon would wield such a worthless weapon?
Sesshomaru: How dare you speak ill of my father pathetic HALFBREED
Sesshomaru broke the standstill and landed several good hits on Vergil and knocked him several feet back. But Tenseiga being a sword that can't kill didn't do much to Vergil. Sesshomaru sheathed his Tenseiga and charged at Vergil with his bare claws, only to get smacked with his Beowulf.
Sesshomaru swung his claws at Vergil but at blinding speeds, Vergil quickly got behind him and struck Sesshomaru multiple times. As Vergil closed the gap between them, Sesshomaru used his light whip to counter Vergil and knocked him back once more. Vergil fell to the ground, and saw Sesshomaru rushing towards him.
Vergil: Don't move.
Vergil lunged forward and struck Sesshomaru. Then landing a few feat away, Vergil sheathed his Yamato at lightning speed. Sesshomaru sensed a white flicker slashing through dimensions which struck Sesshomaru's back but just managed to leap out of the way. Sesshomaru barely escaped Vergil's judgement cut but was badly wounded. He was amazed. He had fought many opponents but none were like Vergil.
Sesshomaru drew his Tenseiga to heal his wounds so he could continue to fight. He then lauched his light whip at blinding speeds, managing to land a hit on Vergil. The whip retreated right back into Sesshomaru's claws before Vergil could react to it.
All in one swift movement, Sesshomaru moved forth to Vergil at lightning speeds, lifted his claws and thrusted them in an uppercut motion to try and decapitate Vergil but Vergil managed to get behind him before Sesshomaru even knew it and struck him several times.
Vergil: Your going dow-
Sesshomaru: I grow tired of you tricks!
Sesshomaru said in annoyance. Sesshomaru used his flight powers to get to high areas that were out of Vergil's reach. Or so he thought. Vergil used his Summoned Swords and launched them at Sesshomaru who was impaled. While falling to the ground, Vergil Summoned Swords yet again, and blasted them towards Sesshomaru.
Sesshomaru: Your worthless!
Sesshomaru drew out his Bakusaiga and
BAKUSAIGA!
Sesshomaru sliced each and every Summoned Sword before they impaled him. Sesshomaru then sheathed his Bakusaiga, and unsheathed his Tenseiga. He ran at lightning speeds, closing the gap between Vergil. He lunged forth and swung his Tenseiga, only for Vergil to dodge it and swing his Yamato at Sesshomaru who used his Tenseiga to block the slash. Despite Tenseiga not being able to kill, it could still block attacks efficiently. Sesshomaru broke the standstill and slashed his Tenseiga which Vergil leapt back from. The two of them stared each other down for what felt like hours. But Sesshomaru knew he had to end the fight as quickly as possible.
So in a quick ingenious move, Sesshomaru leaped forth, and unsheathed his Bakusaiga, but faked an attack and allowed Vergil to strike at him.
Vergil: Foolishness.
But what Vergil didn't realize is that by striking Sesshomaru, he left part of his body self exposed and using this opportunity, Sesshomaru delivered a strike of his own with Bakusaiga. This was Vergil's big mistake.
*Vergil Grunting in pain*
Sesshomaru: You were saying?
Vergil didn't think much of it, as he casually leapt backwards. But Vergil realized his regeneration factor wasn't kicking in like how he thought it would. Sesshomaru was badly wounded too, but his wound his manageable. The same could not be said for Vergil. The power of Bakusaiga was taking its toll. Vergil soon found out that his body was slowly being eaten away by Bakusaiga's erosion. The son of Sparda decided that if he was going to die, he was taking Sesshomaru with him.
Vergil: My fate has been sealed. You truly are a challenge as I had hoped. If I am to die, then you will fall before that happens.
In an instant, Vergil's look had changed completely. A large amount of demonic aura dispatched throughout the field. he was much stronger, and much faster, and Sesshomaru knew that all too well. This was Vergil's Devil Trigger transformation.
Sesshomaru smiled.
Sesshomaru: All it took to bring you to your full power was a mere slice of my sword? Had I known that, I would have done it long ago.
A bright orb of light dispatched and revolved around Sesshomaru and beams started shooting out of it. Then Sesshomaru's voice echoed.
Sesshomaru: Now I shall see if a halfbreed such as yourself is truly worthy of defeating this Sesshomaru.
When the light cleared, The Son of Sparda came face to face with Sesshomaru in his true form. A giant Dog Demon.
The Youkai leapt towards Vergil to behead him but to his utter shock, he barely managed to pierce the Half Demon, and Vergil in that instant moved behind him at blinding speeds and sent the dog demon in the air with one punch. Vergil fired another attack which sent Sesshomaru back to the ground, in which the impact of the crash created an enormous crater. Vergil was not playing around.
Sesshomaru spit toxic acid from is mouth in which Vergil effortlessly evaded. Vergil responded with a barrage of kicks and punches, which knocked the dog demon down to the ground yet again. Things just weren't looking good for Sesshomaru. His big and bulky body made it too easy for Vergi to tag him multiple times.
The moment Sesshomaru stood up on his own, Vergil tagged him yet again. All it took was one kick to break Sesshomaru's guard, causing Sesshomaru to get thrusted in the air. The moment Sesshomaru gained even the slightest bit of control in the air, the son of Sparda raised his leg and punted it on Sesshomaru, sending him back to the ground with such force which resulted in another gargantuan crater being formed.
Sesshomaru realizing his giant dog demon form was useless, reverted back to his original form. He was bruised head to toe. And was on the verge of getting knocked out and potentially, dying. But he just had to wait a bit longer for Bakusaiga to decompose Vergil.
Vergil: Now you shall witness this devil's power!
HEALING TENSEIGA!
Sesshomaru was in bad shape, but took the chance to heal his wounds with his Tenseiga. It turns out his sword wasn't so useless after all. Vergil had greatly overwhelmed Sesshomaru but it wasn't enough to kill him. Sesshomaru on the other hand was ready to give everything he had.
Vergil darted forth at Sesshomaru with out any sort of warning, but Sesshomaru managed to block his attack with Tenseiga and pushed him back. Vergil kept on spamming his attacks over and over in an attempt to overpower and blitz Sesshomaru, but the Tenseiga sensed danger and activated its shield which prevented Vergil from landing a fatal blow.
Sesshomaru then unsheathed his Bakusaiga, sheathed his Tenseiga, and started to counter Vergil. Vergil used his summoned swords and fired them at Sesshomaru, who masterfully destroyed each and every one of them with his Bakusaiga.
Sesshomaru made his way towards Vergil and the two exchanged blows with each other countless times. Vergil teleported behind Sesshomaru and swung his Yamato, only to have it countered with Bakusaiga. Vergil kept on attacking Sesshomaru but just couldn't land a hit on him whatsoever.
Yamato and Bakusaiga clashed yet again but Vergil attempted to land a kick on the dog youkai, only for Sesshomaru to dodged it and land yet another Bakusaiga slash on Vergil's self exposed body and then got knocked by Sesshomaru's claws.
Vergil closed the gap between them by launching himself right towards Sesshomaru, only for Sesshomaru to move out of the way and land a third strike with Bakusaiga. Vergil's chances of killing Sesshomaru were slowly decreasing as Sesshomaru was seeming to be one step ahead of the Half Demon. Vergil thrusted himself in a last minute attempt to fatally wound Sesshomaru, but once again Sesshomaru saw his attack coming and swerved out of the way and slashed Vergil with his light whip.
Sesshomaru with on hand holding on Bakusaiga, unsheathed Tenseaiga with his other and although this sword couldn't harm Vergil, it provided an efficient secondary defense. Now Sesshomaru used both swords that constantly pushed the enemy back and back, closing Vergil's window of opportunity. Sesshomaru, while dual wielding his Tenseiga and Bakusaiga was also using a combination of all his natural demonic abilities such as his light whip, poison claws, and power of flight. Sesshomaru turned the tide and went all out on Vergil.
And in one final attack, Sesshomaru while at a distance, tilted his Tenseiga and a dragon made of blue energy sprouted up behind him. Vergil was amazed from the sight he was witnessing.
Vergil: Such power...
Sesshomaru then shouted
DRAGON STRIKE!
A flash of blue energy in the form of lightning made its way at blinding speeds at Vergil who was unable to get out of the way. Right then and there, Vergil's Devil Trigger had expired and he reverted back to his normal state. Vergil lying knees down while badly injured, knew it was over. He had lost. It didn't take long for Bakusaiga's corrosion to spread more and more, constantly eating away at Vergil. His body parts continued to erode away, and there was nothing he could do. Sesshomaru could only watch as Vergil met his death.
Sesshomaru: You truly are the greatest challenge I have ever faced.
Vergil: I could say the same about you. I guess this is farewell.
Sesshomaru: So it is.
With those final words, the erosion had spread completely and Vergil was gone. Sesshomaru sheathed his Bakusaiga and Tenseiga. He leaped away from the battle grounds to aid his half brother. Although Vergil was defeated, Dante was still very alive.
Meanwhile...
Dante and Inuyasha were still at it. Inuyasha was able to stall Dante long enough for Sesshomaru to end his fight with Vergil so he could lend him some help. Still it was only getting harder and harder for Inuyasha as he held Dante back. Dante started firing Ebony and Ivory towards Inuyasha who was still very injured, but he managed to get close and scar Dante with his Kenatsu and then impaled him with his Tessaiga. Dante just laughed.
Dante: That all ya got, Chewbarka?
*Inuyasha Growling*
Inuyasha: Is name calling the only thing you can do?
Dante: Aside from this!
Dante with his enhanced strength elbowed Inuyasha so hard, he and his Tessaiga ended up slamming into the pillar of rock behind him. Dante then activated his Pandora and transformed it into a mobile missile battery that fired a barrage of homing missiles.
ADAMANT BARRAGE!
Inuyasha fired a barrage of adamant splinters which collided with Pandora's homing missiles, causing them to explode in mid air while creating a cloud of smoke. Then out of the smoke emerged Pandora in the form of a boomerang. Inuyasha managed to lift his Tessaiga in the nick of time, which collided with Pandora. Inuyasha managed to barely knock Pandora back, only for it to fall into Dante's hands. Before Inuyasha even knew it, time slowed down and he wasn't able to move as fast as he normally did.
Dante: I can't remember the last time I used this!
It turns out, Dante had activated Quicksilver which had slowed time down. He then pulled out Nevan and unleashed its sickle attack at Inuyasha when he jammed on the electric guitar. Inuyasha unable to react, knew he had one thing to do. He pulled out Tessaiga's Sheath which collided with Nevan's electricity and a large cloud of smoke dispersed through the area.
Dante teleported instantly right through the smoke while wearing his Gilgamesh Gauntlets and was ready to punch the daylight out of Inuyasha until his hands collided with something. It was a barrier or to be more specific, it was Tessaiga's Barrier. Dante started to throw his fists with the barrier constantly but it didn't budge. He tried again with Ebony and Ivory but the result was still the same.
Inuyasha: Having a little trouble there?
Dante: Hardly
Dante activated his Devil Trigger Transformation and swung his rebellion against the barrier. To Inuyasha 's amazement, Rebellion collided and destroyed the barrier like a hot knife being thrusted into butter. Inuyasha swung Tessaiga which was effortlessly knocked away by Rebellion.
*Dante then shouted in a deep and monstrous voice*
Dante: You are not worthy as my opponent.
With those simple words, Dante smashed Inuyasha into a pillar or rock with such force, that the rock above him tumbled on the Hanyou. Dante reverted back from his Devil Trigger, and deactivated his Quicksilver.
Dante: You poor thing! Didn't anyone ever teach you mutts to use you brain?
Dante turned around for one second only to hear the sound of rock being smashed apart. He turned back to find a fully fledged demon Inuyasha. His eyes blood red and purple streaks down his cheeks.
Dante: Still ain't giving up, are yo-
*Inuyasha roaring*
Inuyasha lunged at speeds were he wasn't visible to the mortal eye and knocked Dante up into the air, and smacked him back to the ground. Dante fell backwards, and then dodged Inuyasha's claws and started running circles around him. But the moment he went in for the attack, Inuyasha thrusted Dante up into the air with an uppercut and slashed him with such force, he fell right back at the mountain.
Dante managed to leap from the mountain to the ground on his feet.
Dante: Alright, now this is what I'm talking about!
Dante took out Rebellion and charged in at Inuyasha who countered it with his bare claws. The two of them clashed several times, neither able to strike the other. But Dante managed to slash Inuyasha with Rebellion which badly hurt him. Inuyasha responded by lunging forth and merclissly punching Dante, knocking him back.
Inuyasha was just about to preform another attack at Dante who motioned Inuyasha to come at him. But just as he was about to do it, something knocked him in the head and fell in his hand. It was Tessaiga! With this in his hand, Inuyasha found his senses and returned to his original state. He looked backwards and found out it was none other then Sesshomaru.
Inuyasha: Its about time! I needed your help more than ever!
Sesshomaru: Trust you to get your ass kicked, and lose your senses.
Inuyasha: Don't start this crap and just help me finish this guy off. He's starting to get on my nerves!
Dante seeing Sesshomaru made him realize that Vergil must have been defeated and killed. Dante decided to accept the loss of his brother which really didn't hit him that hard. Not while in a time like this. Sesshomaru turned his attention toward Dante.
Sesshomaru: Do you wish to still fight? If not, we will spare you. If so, you will meet the same fate as your brother.
Inuyasha: As if he's actually gonna run away you idiot. I've hardly even known him for a day and even I know that he would be that crazy enough to fight both you and me.
Inuyasha was more than right. Normally the smart thing to do would be to cut and run if you had to fight both dog demon brothers at the same time but being who he is, he had chose to stay and fight both opponents. But Inuyasha and Sesshomaru had a game plan. Inuyasha still had one technique left, and Dante was still unaware of what killed Vergil, giving the Dog Demon brothers the advantage they needed!
Dante immediately activated his Devil Trigger Sin transformation and rushed at his opponents but that didn't phase Inuyasha or Sesshomaru one bit. Inuyasha and Sesshomaru had been in similar situations before and Sesshomaru had fought with something similar when he battled Vergil.
Inuyasha leapt into action and swung his Tessaiga at Dante who blocked it with nothing more but his hand, and then lifted his Rebellion and slashed it against Inuyasha who fell to the ground. While on the other side Sesshomaru ran towards Dante and responded to Rebellion with his Tenseiga, and then he pushed the son of Sparda away with his Light Whip who was struck with a Kenatsu from Inuyasha's Tessaiga.
Dante continued his assault on the dog demons and was certainly giving both of them a fight for their lives but ultimately, with Inuyasha and Sesshomaru working together even in his enhanced form, Dante was just unable to overpower the dog demon brothers in this fight. Soon Dante had been pushed back between Inuyasha and Sesshomaru.
The clash continued for several minutes, until with one final attack, the dog demon brothers gave everything they had. Inuyasha raised his Tessaiga and yelled,
WIND SCAR!
On the other side, Sesshomaru unsheathed and tilted his Tenseiga, all while yelling,
DRAGON STRIKE!
On both sides, Dante was struck. By being hit with a Dragon Strike and Wind Scar at once, Dante was weakened and forced to revert back into his original form. Before he was able to react, Dante heard Sesshomaru's voice.
BAKUSAIGA!
Sesshomaru rushed Dante who was left temporarily exposed and tagged him with Bakusaiga knocking Dante back and just like Vergil, Bakusaiga's decomposition effect took its toll. Dante tried to regenerate but realized he was unable to do so. His healing factor wasn't working like he thought it would. Dante then thought to himself,
Dante: So this is what killed Vergil. I just laughed it off when I heard of it, thinking that a sword like this could never exist. I guess that's cost me.
Dante: I guess I'm going down but if I am, I'm taking both of you with me.
Sesshomaru: That's what your brother sought to do when he touched my blade. Irony, is it not?
Dante tried to kill both Dog Demon brothers, but his efforts were in vein. Sesshomaru dealt with this kind of aggression with vergil, so he knew what he was dealing with. Inuyasha kept his distance as he was waiting for the right time. Sesshomaru charged Dante and swung his Bakusaiga at him, but Dante was able to block it with Rebellion,
Sesshomaru stumbled a few feat forth but changed his stance in the blink of an eye and swung his Bakusaiga sideways to have it blocked by Dante who changed directions ever so fast, and then kicked the Dog Youkei several feat in the air. Dante instantly teleported above Sesshomaru, and punched back to the ground.
Inuyasha: Come on Sesshomaru. Hang in there a little longer!
To Dante's surprise, Sesshomaru before falling to the ground fired his light whip which caught Dante of guard. Sesshomaru landed on the ground, and then flew right up and slashed Dante with his Poison Claw. The two of them jumped right back down, exchanging strikes with each other. Sesshomaru then fired an erosion wave from Bakusaiga.
BAKUSAIGA!
This wave knocked Dante several feat back, and Sesshomaru followed without any hesitation. Sesshomaru raised and swung his Bakusaiga downwards, btu Dante manage to block it with his Rebellion. The two of them came to a standstill, but then Dante jumped back and pulled out Ebony and Ivory, but Sesshomaru managed to swipe them away with his light whip.
Sesshomaru jumped back and fired his Bakusaiga countless times, but Dante managed to dodge all of them. He leaped behind the Youkei and fired Ebony and Ivory, but Sesshomaru blocked his bullets with Bakusaiga. Dante just couldn't get the jump on Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru just seemed to be ahead of the fight. The time had finally come. Bakusaiga's erosion had spread far enough.
Sesshomaru: NOW!
Sesshomaru leaped back and Inuyasha lunged towards Dante. In front of Dante's very eyes, Inuaysha's Tesaiga turned to its black form.
Inuaysha: This is what I have been waiting for you bastard. TAKE THIS!
MEIDO ZANGETSUHA!
Inuyasha fired several Meido's in the form of blades, cutting Dante to pieces. These blades then merged together behind Dante to form one giant Meido which sucked Dante down to the depths of the Netherworld. The Meido closed. Dante knew he had been defeated and accepted his fate, were Bakusaiga's erosion took its toll and decomposed the last bits of Dante's body.
KO!
BACK IN THE WORLD OF THE LIVING...
Inuyasha sheathed his Tessaiga, while Sesshomaru sheathed his Bakusaiga.
Inuyasha: Man that cocky bastard really pissed me off.
INUYASHA!
LORD SESSHOMARU!
Inuyasha and Sesshomaru turned behind themselves to find Kagome, Miroku, Sango, Rin, and Jaken. They all noticed the destroyed mountains, formed craters and not to mention, the bruises Inuyasha and Sesshomaru had.
Jaken: LORD SESSHOMARU! I AM SO GLAD YOUR ALIVE!
Sesshomaru: Silence Jaken!
Jaken: Yes me' Lord!
Rin: Lord Sesshomaru! Your hurt. Why did you come up here all by yourself?
Sesshomaru: No reason.
Rin: OK!
Jaken: What?! Rin you fool! Why would Sesshomaru get bruised, create all this damage, and come all this way if it was all for no re-
Sesshomaru: I told you to stay silent Jaken.
Jaken: Yes me' Lord!
Sesshomaru: We're leaving.
Sesshomaru flew up to the skies with Rin and Jaken on his Moko Moko, and flew into the distant sunset.
Inuyasha: Lets go! No sense in staying her-
Kagome: SIT BOY!
*Inuyasha fell to the ground while grunting in pain*
Miroku: The villagers told us everything!
Sango: Why would you leave to fight these demons without our help? Who knows what could have happened to you?
Inuyasha: You just don't get it, do you? These half demons were way more powerful then you think! I left because Sesshomaru came to fight them on his own for whatever reason. Even if it was my decision, I still wasn't going to risk having you guys killed. Just quit your whining and lets go home!
Kagome: You and I will talk about this later. Don't think for one minute that I'm going to let this slide!
Inuyasha: HMPH! Whatever!
And so Inuyasha, Sesshomaru, and their friends walked home triumphantly.
RESULTS[]
Boomstick: HOLY SHIT! I did not expect that outcome!
Wiz: Really?
Boomstick: Nah I did. But I am sure some people didn’t.
Wiz: Ahem, This was an EXTREMELY close match. All four demons, sons of all powerful demon warriors. In a match up, both teams rivalled each other ferociously in strength, speed, endurance, power etc. So the question all came down to which team could work better than the other and take the win.
Boomstick: In individual matchups, you could argue that the results would probably be different. And you probably would not be wrong. But as a team, we just saw this victory going to Inuyasha and Sesshomaru for many reasons. And before you lash out, just here us out!
Wiz: What supports Inuyasha and Sesshomaru being crowned the winners in this match up is their experience, tactics, cooperation, and ESPECIALLY their arsenal.
Boomstick: There is really no denying that Inuyasha and Sesshomaru have Dante and Vergil outclassed by several miles when it comes to the experience the dog demons have compared to the devils.
Wiz: Dante and Vergil are around their 40s by the end of Devil May Cry 5, and lets not forget that Vergil was missing for more than half of these years, when you consider Vergil’s disappearance throughout the Devil May Cry 1.
Boomstick: Compare that to Inuyasha who is exactly 214 years old, and Sesshomaru who is 914 years old. And throughout their lives, both demons constantly traveled place to place killing demons, and getting stronger by the day.
Wiz: Even if we take consideration that Inuyasha was under a spell for 50 years, he is still around 164 years old. Older than either Dante or Vergil. And there is no doubt that Inuyasha and Sesshomaru have dealt with far, far more demons in terms of count, and they have certainly contended and defeated demons, the likes of which Dante and Vergil have never even seen.
Boomstick: Even Dante and Vergil’s Devil Trigger and Devil Trigger Sin transformations, are things that Inuyasha and Sesshomaru can get used to as both brothers have went through similar situations in their lives where they have had to fight baddies who got large upgrades to their stats. And what’s even worse for the DMC team is that their forms can only be in used for a short period of time.
Wiz: Next is their cooperation. The status of both teams’ relationships play a MAJOR role in this fight. Dante and Vergil do tolerate each other by the end of DMC5, but its very doubtful that either brother likes the other and they are just stuck with each other until they take down whatever problem they were confronted with. But that is not the same case with Inuyasha and Sesshomaru.
Boomstick: By the end of their series, Inuyasha and Sesshomaru have gained a HIGH level of respect for the other and don’t have a problem for coming to the other brothers aid if they ever need it. They have joined forces many more times than Dante and Vergil have.
Wiz: Then comes tactics. In a fight like this one, Inuyasha would certainly have no issue following his older brothers lead as he has done so many times, and Sesshomaru is without a doubt, the smartest one here.
Boomstick: Due to Dante and Vergil’s personal egos and a desire to fight a fight on their own terms, on most cases they would have no problems separating. And this kind of behavior is exactly what would give Inuyasha and Sesshomaru a huge advantage.
Wiz: With Sesshomaru’s many years of experience, he would be able to easily determine which opponent is good in what, and how they should be dealt with. This would make him realize that keeping Dante and Vergil away from each other would give them a huge advantage.
Boomsticks: Inuyasha would indeed struggle against Dante, and you could even argue that Dante is more powerful then Inuyasha. But in most scenarios, Inuyasha would really need to hold his own and keep Dante distracted and with Inuyasha’s abilities and many years of experience, that would certainly be no problem for the hanyou.
Wiz: But ultimately, this matchup came down to one last factor. One of the biggest factors that allows Inuyasha and Sesshomaru to walk away as the winners would be their arsenal. The arsenal of the Dog Demon brothers is what allowed them to defeat their enemies throughout the Inuyasha series. If they didn’t have this advantage, then there is a big chance that Dante and Vergil would win the match.
Boomstick: And specifically, one weapon would make the give the victory to Inuyasha and Sesshomaru without a doubt, would be the Bakusaiga. What makes this weapon so dangerous is that it takes away something Dante and Vergil have been using their entire lives to achieve the amount of success they have experienced as fighters. Their instant regeneration.
Wiz: All that would be needed is one cut. Not only does this weapon have the ability to nullify regeneration of any sort, but it would also continue to eat away and decompose at whatever organic material it slashed like a virus until the entire material is no more.
Boomstick: This weapon is something neither Dante and Vergil have encountered before and have no counter against. Even the frickin’ Devil Trigger would be useless against the Bakusaiga.
Wiz: And on top of this, Dante and Vergil are simply put, outmatched when it comes to damage output. When you think about it, neither Dante or Vergil throughout their entire lives have caused as much destruction with a single attack like Inuyasha and Sesshomaru have.
Boomstick: When it comes to their approach to combat, Dante and Vergil are all about wearing the enemy down over time whereas Inuyasha and Sesshoamaru need to do is deliver a single and well-timed hit. And from what they have accomplished, this is something they could certainly do.
Wiz: And let’s not forget, working in Inuyasha and Sesshomaru’s favor is the Meido Zangetsuha which as we have stated can fire a series of blades and anyone hit by these blades would be sent to the depths of the netherworld itself. And don’t forget that both Inuyasha and Sesshomaru had a much wider arsenal that could counter nearly anything Dante and Vergil throw at them.
Boomstick: Keep in mind, the netherworld in the Inuyasha series is a very different place from the hell in Devil May Cry. So should Dante or Vergil get swallowed by the Meido, they would have no way of knowing how to return back to the world of the living.
Wiz: Do not get us wrong. In their own world, Dante and Vergil have risen to legendary status and power and have certainly surpassed their father, Sparda.
Boomstick: But at the same time, Inuyasha and Sesshomaru have also done the same thing, and certainly surpassed their father, the Inu-No-Taisho.
Wiz: In a team fight, if Dante and Vergil knew what they were up against, and took a VERY different approach to the battle then what they would normally do then they would certainly preform extraordinarily well and could possibly even snatch the win if they encountered Inuyasha and Sesshomaru earlier on in their lives when the dog demons were trying to kill each other by using this to their advantage.
Boomstick: But from what we have seen from these brothers in the end, Inuyasha and Sesshomaru are simply a far more experienced and combative pair that are bringing far more power as a team in this type of matchup.
Wiz: In the end, this close matchup could have been anyone's game but in the end, it all came down to Inuyasha and Sesshomaru's better experience, tactics, cooperation, and arsenal.
Boomstick: Looks like the Sons of Sparda can FUR-get their chances of victory when facing the Sons of the Inu-No-Taisho.
Wiz: The winners are Inuyasha and Sesshomaru
