Hyperion is the name of a number of different characters from Marvel Comics. All of the Hyperions, however, have very similar powers and abilities.

History[]

While there have been a number of different Hyperions, the most widely known are those of Earth-616, Earth-712, Earth-1121, Earth-4023, and Earth-13034.

Hyperion-616[]

The first Hyperion was Zhib-Ran, a man from Earth-616. He was recruited by the Grandmaster to be a part of the group, the Squadron Sinister. He was a part of several schemes to destroy the earth, but was defeated each time. Over the course of his career, he fought such heroes as Thor, The Hulk, and the Wasp.

During a climactic battle between Baron Zemo and the Grandmaster, the Grandmaster was defeated and the Squadron Sinister were scattered. Hyperion-616’s fate is unknown at this time.

Hyperion-712[]

The second Hyperion was Mark Milton, a man from Earth-712. Mark was the last Eternal on his Earth. He was raised by normal parents, who instilled positive values in him, causing him to become a hero and crime-fighter. He encountered other metahumans, and eventually organized the Squadron Supreme to fight the forces of evil.

After many adventures, Squadron Supreme was exiled from their home dimension to that of Earth 616. There they came into conflict with the Avengers, but later teamed up with them. After returning to Earth-712, Mark teamed up with a Hyperion from Earth-5764 to battle another evil Hyperion from Earth-4023. Mark went on to have many more adventures.

Hyperion-1121[]

This Hyperion is an elderly man who hales from an Earth that was wiped clean of all life by a nuclear war. Recruited by the robot X-51 of Earth-9997 to be part of a team of interdimensional heroes, he fought and killed the dark mage Kulan Gath. He later fought the Watchers, The Guardians of The Galaxy, Annihilus' expedition crew and The Police of Earth-9997.

Hyperion-4023[]

Also known as King Hyperion. When he first gained his powers, he decided to use them conquer and enslave Earth. He killed all of his world's heroes and with no one left to face him, gained control of the planet. However, the human population decided it would rather die then serve King Hyperion, so in a last ditch effort to kill him, they fired ever nuclear weapon on the planet at the tyrant... But it was all in vain as Hyperion survived the blast while all life on Earth perished in the aftermath of the nuclear bombardment. King Hyperion was all alone on the dead planet formerly known as Earth, he was later recruited by timebreakers to serve on one of the reality-hopping forces, Weapon X. Now free from his ruined world, This Hyperion seeks to renew his reign and destroy anyone and anything that dares stand in his way.

Hyperion-13034[]

This version of Hyperion was sent to Earth as a baby, where he was the sole survivor of the race of Eternals from a dying world. He was given the name Marcus Milton from a human named father, who raised him and taught him the morals of society. As an adult he became the superhero known as Hyperion and protected the world alongside a team of super humans known as Squadron Supreme. One day, his universe and another collided with each other. While he tried to prevent the destruction of his reality he was ultimately cast out into the void his universe once occupied. He was a sole survivor once again, left to float in the void of nothingness. But, the group of scientists known as A.I.M from Earth-616 managed to pull him into 616's reality. Hyperion spent most of his time in captivity, until he was freed by the Avengers, who offered him a place in their team.

Earth-13034

Superhuman strength: Hyperion possesses great physical strength, he can casually lift between 75-100 tons. However he's been shown to be much stronger as he was able to hold apart two Earths that were about to collide, grappled with a casual Hulk and lifted the entire city of Atlantis. The exact limits to his strength are unknown as it tends to fluctuate over time.
Superhuman Speed: Hyperion is incredibly fast, like his other counterparts he can easily reach speeds of Mach 4. He's moved faster than lighting and has consistently kept up with the likes of Thor and Hulk.
Superhuman Durability: Hyperion is very durable as he can withstand shots from high caliber naval guns, extreme pressure, powerful energy blasts and great impact forces. He has also taken direct hits from Hulk and the destruction of a universe without issue
Superhuman Endurance: His musculature converts fatigue poisons into energy. He can exert himself at full power for days on end without tiring. He can also convert solar photons into energy to sustain him should he begin to tire.
Enhanced Senses: Hyperion possesses superior sensory arrangements of vision. He has X-ray, telescoptic, electromagnetic spectrum and microscopic ranges of sight. He also has an enhanced sense of hearing as he's able to perceive outside frequencies
Information Analysis: Can analyze and compare different strands of DNA
Self-Sustenance: Hyperion doesn't need to eat, drink or even breath as long as he absorbs solar energy
Immortality: He is unbound by age or death from natural causes
Flight: Can fly and leviatate by harnessing and manipulating anti-gravitons.
Regeneration: Hyperion can purposely channel cosmic energy to repair damaged body tissue at rates far faster and more extensive than a normal human. His healing factor can also decrease the rate of his aging but to an unknown degree.
Absorption: Thanks to his Eternal Physiology, Hyperion can absorb solar particles and cosmic radiation.
Cosmic Energy Manipulation: Hyperion can willfully manipulate large quantities of cosmic energy.
Heat Manipulation: Often referred to as ''Atomic Vision'' Hyperion can fire beams of highly intensive heat from his eyes. These beams are capable of reaching temperatures of 12,000 degrees Fahrenheit (6,648 degrees Celsius) and can kill beings who are as durable as Namor
Immunity to all Earthly diseases, toxins, chemicals, corrosives and radiation
Resistance to Extreme Temperatures: Hyperion is able to survive temperatures ranging from -455 to 12,000 degrees Fahrenheit (-265 to 6,648 degrees Celsius) without any issues.
