Description[]
Tekken vs Fatal Fury! The heads of powerful companies, terrible fathers, and the hosts of worldwide martial arts tournaments, which power-hungry parent will come out on top? Can the ruler of South Town topple the King of Iron Fist?
Interlude[]
Wiz: Balancing work life with fatherhood is a trial which puts many parents to the test, and those who can successfully strike an equilibrium often see great fortune on both ends. Though not every father is quite up to the challenge.
Boomstick: You got that right! Because running a powerful corporation and holding global martial arts tournaments are more important than being there for your kid, apparently! Stupid dads, never caring about their children…
Wiz: Heihachi Mishima, Head of the Mishima Zaibatsu and father of Kazuya Mishima.
Boomstick: And Geese Howard, CEO of Howard Connection and father of Rock Howard. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills, to find out who would win... a Death Battle.
Heihachi[]
Wiz: Ever since the days of World War II, the Mishima family has created and maintained an industrial empire, capitalising on the war and developing military resources. Even after Japan’s loss in the war, the Mishima family persevered, though their resources turned away from military efforts, and instead into martial arts.
Boomstick: Opening a dojo, multiple generations of the Mishima family would become incredibly skilled martial artists, and the dojo would prove to unite them with their partners in life. For the current head of the family, Jinpachi Mishima, his son would find himself that special lady one day when Kazumi Hachijō showed up on their doorstep. This son was Heihachi Mishima.
Wiz: As time went on, Heihachi and Kazumi would become impressive fighters in their own right, growing a rivalry to continually test each other. This rivalry eventually blossomed into love, and from this love, their child, Kazuya Mishima, was born. Jinpachi loved the child as well, and though all seemed well for the young couple, not everything was as it appeared.
Boomstick: See, Heihachi eventually took over the Mishima Zaibatsu from his father, and shortly after, Kazumi came down with an intense fever. Heihachi gave no quarter to tend to his wife, but she got up and suddenly attacked him while he was treating her. The next day, Kazumi had no memory of the events, and her fever was gone. For a while, Heihachi believed that Kazumi was suffering from a split personality disorder, but on one stormy night, his belief was proven incorrect.
Popup: Some time before Heihachi took over the Zaibatsu from Jinpachi, Kazumi would save a wounded Akuma, leaving him indebted to her. Kazumi asked for him to kill Heihachi and Kazuya if she failed to do so for fear that they would one day become threats to the world.
Wiz: While Heihachi was practicing martial arts in the dojo, Kazumi confronted him and proclaimed that he would one day become a threat to the world. As they fought, Kazumi revealed to Heihachi the reason she married him in the first place. Her family, the Hachijō Clan, wanted to kill him, and it was her destiny to do so, as she finally assumed in her Devil form. After a long and gruelling fight, Heihachi was able to defeat his wife, but she tried one last attempt to kill him. She was no longer the Kazumi that Heihachi knew and loved. He had no other choice than to mournfully end her life…
Boomstick: As Kazumi lay dead on the floor, Heihachi shed a single tear over the loss of his wife. Emotionally distraught and embittered, her death hardened Heihachi’s resolve, and he set out to uncover the secrets of her devil transformation. Turning the Mishima Zaibatsu’s resources back to warfare-based manufacturing, Heihachi steeled himself for what he had to do. Knowing that his son shared the same blood as his mother, Kazuya held the potential to be a devil as well, and so he threw his 5-year-old son off a cliff.
Wiz: But Kazuya clawed his way back up, only surviving thanks to the Devil Gene within his blood. A genetic mutation passed down the generations, it allows the host to turn into a monstrous devil. Yet despite this, Heihachi still loved his son and continued to care for him, teaching him the family’s style of martial arts. Heihachi also adopted another child, Lee Chaolan, as a rival for Kazuya to push him to grow stronger. Wanting to prove that it was not his blood that carried the Devil Gene, Heihachi fathered another child, Lars Alexandersson, to further prove that Kazumi was the one who passed the gene along.
Boomstick: With decades of experience under his belt, Heihachi is among the world’s greatest hand-to-hand combatants. He uses the Mishima Style Fighting Karate, which he taught to Kazuya, but his style is influenced by Goju-Ryu Karate, which translates to Hard-Soft Style. This style utilizes both circular and linear movements which combine hard striking attacks such as kicks and close hand punches with softer open hand circular techniques for attacking, blocking, and controlling the opponent such as joint locks, grappling, takedowns, and throws.
Popup: Heihachi’s martial arts prowess has assisted him in victories over the majority of Tekken’s cast of characters. Proving himself more physically capable than most, if not all of them, Heihachi can undoubtedly perform feats that lesser characters have accomplished, like Raven tossing NANCY-MI847J or Feng Wei shattering mountains.
Wiz: And he’s learnt moves like the Flash Punch Combo, a family staple, the Demon Backhand Spin, or the Mishima family’s signature 10-Hit Combo, which keeps you in a string of attacks you can’t escape until you get hit with the Dragon Uppercut. Heihachi has also learned the art of Ki control, and as a result, can channel the element of lightning, amping his strikes to absurd degrees, like with his Electric Wind God Fist. And with all of his skill, Heihachi hosted the first King of Iron Fist Tournament, where fighters from all around the world would come to compete.
Boomstick: Yet despite Heihachi’s immense strength and skill, Kazuya managed to win the tournament, and took control of the Mishima Zaibatsu. He also threw Heihachi off the same cliff he was thrown off, finally getting his revenge. But Heihachi survived! And took on Kazuya in the second King of Iron Fist Tournament. Heihachi would ultimately defeat his son, taking back the Mishima Zaibatsu, and throwing him into a volcano. Because cliffs weren’t enough, apparently. But not before Kazuya could knock up this chick named Jun, who would give birth to their son, Jin Kazama.
Wiz: And Jin would come to see out Heihachi upon his mother’s death, and was taken under his wing. Though Heihachi had ulterior motives, seeking to use Jin to bait out Ogre, the God of Fighting, for the King of Iron Fist Tournament 3. Heihachi wanted to use his power for world domination, ironically spurred on by Kazumi’s betrayal. But Jin got to Ogre first, killing him before Heihachi could properly use his power. Heihachi then promptly gunned down his grandson and shot him in the head.
Boomstick: Heihachi wanted to rid the world of the Devil Gene, and he knew Jin carried it as Kazuya had. This betrayal let open the floodgates and Jin’s devil form burst forth, lashing out at Heihachi before flying off. And then it turned out Kazuya wasn’t as dead as everyone had thought, and he was out for justifiable revenge against Heihachi, as you do. So they met in Hon-Maru temple at the end of the King of Iron Fist Tournament 4, where the biotech firm, G Corporation, sent in a bunch of robots that self-destructed, collapsing the place. The word got out. Heihachi Mishima is dead. But this is Tekken, so he wasn’t.
Popup: During the 20 years between Tekken 2 & 3, Heihachi established the Tekken Force, an organisation dedicated to the protection of the Mishima Zaibatsu, and under Heihachi’s direct command. Heihachi used the company’s influence to create world peace, utilising these efforts to amass worldwide recognition and adoration.
Wiz: Heihachi laid low while events with his family rocked the world. Jin had taken over the Zaibatsu at the conclusion of the fifth King of Iron Fist Tournament, and Kazuya had made a forceful takeover of G Corporation. Seeking to end the threat of the demonic Azazel, Jin needed to kickstart World War 3, which he declared on the entire world, simultaneously hosting the sixth King of Iron Fist Tournament. With the Mishima Zaibatsu unleashing war, the people looked to G Corporation in hopes of fighting off the corporate threat, and Kazuya responded, leading G Corporation into conflict with the Zaibatsu.
Boomstick: But Heihachi wasn’t free from their war, as it drafted pretty much everyone in. Even his estranged son, Lars, who was suffering from amnesia and joined by his robot pal. And what did Lars do upon meeting Heihachi? Shoot him in the face! But Heihachi just caught the bullet in his teeth like a badass! And he’s even caught and crushed tomahawks in those babies before. This man has some incredible jaw strength, god damn. But what else do you expect from a Mishima than to be crazy impressive?
Wiz: You make a good point. Their whole family is insane! When three generations of Mishima men meet, it’s an all-out battle royale, and just by fighting, they’ve been said to bring calamity to the world. They frequently throw each other off cliffs, survive massive explosions, and their method of taking back the family business is kicking the current owner’s ass into submission. Hell, even immortals fear this family, like when Shin Kamiya tried to get revenge on Heihachi for his experiments, but was killed with little effort whatsoever.
Boomstick: I mean, Heihachi is fighting off devils, ninjas, spies, robots and so much more on the daily, so he’d have to be pretty damn impressive. And Heihachi is pretty much the strongest man in the world, so you bet he can compete with top-tiers like Jin and Kazuya even when they’ve turned devil. And they can survive some heavy punishment, like when Kazuya tanked a satellite beam from space, or when he was in the middle of a volcano’s eruption. Twice, might I add!
Popup: In retaliation to Heihachi, Kazuya shot his devil laser directly at the Mishima satellite. Given that the satellite resided in Geosynchronous orbit, which is 22,370 miles high, and the fact it took Devil Kazuya's laser 6 seconds to reach it, the laser must have moved 13,421,617 miles per hour, or 2% light speed, though it’s likely that it could be much faster – potentially even the speed of light.
Wiz: Kazuya has a… complicated relationship with volcanoes. Like at the end of the second King of Iron Fist Tournament, where he survived it exploding right on top of him. By measuring the smallest mountain in Japan and the resulting explosion, we can estimate that the eruption had to have a yield of over 163 Megatons of TNT at the least. And that’s still in his base form. Kazuya has stated that the Devil Gene increases one’s power tenfold, so his power when transformed into a devil could reach into the Gigaton range. Enough to destroy mountains, if not islands!
Boomstick: And Kazuya has kicked up his fair share of eruptions, like in his fight with Heihachi, when his devil beam created an explosion worth 100 Megatons. Damn is this family tough! Like when Heihachi took back the Zaibatsu after Jin’s departure, fighting off and beating up his entire security personnel, including Nina Williams, an expert assassin. And Heihachi continued the Zaibatsu’s war with Kazuya and G Corporation, announcing the seventh King of Iron Fist Tournament. And both Heihachi and Kazuya were hell-bent on making it the last one the other ever saw.
Wiz: But Kazumi had one last surprise in store for the both of them. Of all people, she had a promise with Akuma to kill Heihachi and Kazuya should she not be able to. But Akuma took his time waiting for them both to reach the peak of their power before fulfilling his promise. And so Heihachi duelled Akuma, fighting on equal grounds before a bunch of JACK-7 units, the strongest models to date, swarmed the place. They fought together to defeat them without much trouble, but Heihachi would eventually fall to the soul-killing Raging Demon.
Boomstick: But he was okay! And he watched as Akuma fought Kazuya next, attempting to end the Mishima bloodline, and right as Kazuya transformed into a devil, Heihachi got the whole thing on tape with his satellite. Broadcasting it to the world, Heihachi pulled ahead in the war before shooting a giant laser right on top of Kazuya, burying him beneath G Corporation’s building. And the Mishima satellite is crazy! It once shot a laser at a much younger JACK model at over 4 percent the speed of light, and Kazuya tanked that like a champ!
Popup: A single JACK unit has proven capable of destroying a six-mile-wide asteroid heading towards Earth. Estimating the volume and density, the energy required to violently fragment it would equal over 7.7 Gigatons of TNT at the bare minimum. Though the feat occurs in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and is not part of the canon timeline, plot threads from the game are referenced in Tekken 7, and it does not contradict anything from the main series.
Wiz: But after a long life filled with hatred, revenge, and the quest for power, Heihachi would meet his son one last time for a battle to the death, and shed a single tear at his son’s transformation into a monster, just like his mother before him. Deep down, Heihachi still cared for his son, even if he had descended into the depths of darkness.
Boomstick: Inside an active volcano, the father and son clashed one final time. Their blood family feud, their cycle of hatred and vengeance, it would all come to an end here. They fight with everything they have. Every honed technique, every wild emotion, and every ounce of willpower stretched to the absolute limit. Kazuya in his True Devil form, and Heihachi at Full Power, the father and son break all limits they have, pushing themselves past all previous notions of power and strength until one would emerge victorious.
Wiz: He fought Kazuya as he lived - a man. No cybernetic enhancements, no Devil Gene, just his unbreakable will and his iron fists. He fought his literal demons with nothing more than his bare hands and his stubborn, egomaniacal refusal to give up until he could stand no longer. And at last… at long, long last… Heihachi finally falls, his life spent and his body physically unable to go on.
Boomstick: And so for the final time, the son drops his father from the cliff to where he would finally reach eternal rest. But Heihachi’s life was unforgettable, and his influence, immortal. Throughout the entire world, all know the name of Heihachi Mishima.
Heihachi: A fight is about who’s left standing. Nothing else.
Geese[]
Boomstick: Certainly they existed… Those blinded by ambition. Those consumed by vengeance. But here they do not exist. Only winners… and losers here. For here, THE MIGHTY RULE! Now, if that isn’t one kickass way to describe a place, I don’t know what is. And what is this place, you ask? None other than South Town, USA. Home to crime, crime, and even more crime. Fortunate, then, that it’s also home to Howard Connection, a powerful public protection agency dedicated to keeping the people of South Town safe.
Wiz: Until you realise that the Howard Connection actually is the mafia, and is running one hell of a business scheme. Like a corporate ouroboros. And at the head of this self-devouring snake, there was a single man blinded by ambition. A single man… named Geese Howard. Born to an American woman and an Austrian terrorist, Geese and his mother were promptly left to rot in the poverty of South Town. As you’d expect, Geese worked multiple odd jobs for the both of them, but still couldn’t make enough to keep Mrs. Howard healthy and fed.
Boomstick: With his mother’s untimely passing, Geese was consumed by vengeance, deciding to cope by traveling abroad to assassinate his deadbeat father, all at the age of 15. This plan ended with his 9-year-old half-brother beating the ever-living shit out of him. But that didn’t mean Geese was a pushover, not in the slightest. Geese is a master martial artist, being trained in several different styles and being more than lethal with each one of them.
Wiz: Geese’s overall fighting ability seems to derive from several Japanese martial arts, and the art of karate is present within his striking attacks. Focusing on deep, strong stances and hard-hitting combos, it’s a reliable style that Geese uses to great effect. He also utilises the art of kickboxing for quick and deadly blows, mixing together both traditional karate and boxing techniques. But his primary style is Aikijutsu, which focuses on grapple techniques like throws and locks, using an opponent’s weight against them. This is often employed with Geese’s counters and his follow-ups after striking an opponent down.
Popup: In the King of Fighters timeline, which branches off from Fatal Fury, Geese does not usually directly fight, but manipulates and observes events from the shadows. This does not mean that he doesn’t fight however, as he has participated in several tournaments, defeated foes such as Verse, and killed Chizuru Kagura in the Boss Team ending of King of Fighters ‘96.
Boomstick: Seeking revenge, Geese sought out the martial arts master, Tung Fu Rue, to teach him the ways of Hyakkokuseiken, or the Eight Extremities Holy Fist, which I have since learned is not punching the Jesus into people, sadly. Man, I could get on board with that! But Geese studied under the master for a time, alongside his rival, Jeff Bogard, learning how to gather, control, manipulate and catalyse chi energy from the Earth itself to fight, in addition to his traditional Japanese martial arts.
Wiz: He can also use his chi to sense auras, or to amp his physicality further, and can manifest chi into powerful attacks, like with his signature Reppuken, which rockets across the ground like a buzzsaw of pure energy, and this is taken further with the Double Reppuken. With his Shippuken, Geese fires an orb of energy that travels diagonally through the air and similarly can shoot two orbs of energy with the Double Shippuken. Geese also has plenty of other techniques, like his Explosion Ball, Ja’ei Ken, and Fudōken, but his most famous is his Jōdan'ateminage.
Boomstick: PREDICTABO! Slamming his opponent to the ground, Geese lays some killer smack talk, and he’s mastered a variety of counters and parries. Like his Gedan Atemi-Uchi, where Geese swings his unlucky foe by the head, his Chūdan'ateminage, where he backhands his opponent away, or his Raimeigōha Nage, where Geese grabs a grounded opponent by the head and slams them into the ground as a bolt of lightning strikes them.
Wiz: Geese can channel his chi and unleash it to summon lightning bolts with his Thunder Break. And with the Raigou Reppuuken, Geese creates a stronger Reppuken infused with the power of electricity that hits up to 4 times. He can also use his chi to enhance his physicality, like with his Oni Hammon, a deadly slam into the ground which creates a shockwave. And Geese can unleash a series of blindingly fast blows for his Deadly Rave or Rashomon, but his most iconic is the-
Popup: Hyakkokuseiken’s secret Jin scrolls hold knowledge of the sacred art. They contain information about its techniques, how to recuperate energy and increase physical strength, and immortality; though possession of all three scrolls is required. Geese Howard came into possession of the second and third scrolls, but destroyed them before learning their secrets.
Boomstick: RAGING STOOOOOORM! Geese channels chi into his hands and slams them into the ground, creating two columns of energy around himself. Geese can also angle it to burst in front of him instead of on both sides, and he can even increment the power of this technique, changing its usual blue hue for a red one. Sometimes even purple. And with all this power and skill, you’d imagine Tung Fu Rue would be extremely impressed, but he didn’t quite see eye-to-eye with Geese on everything.
Wiz: From Geese’s point of view, he’d learned first-hand that in this world, it’s power that grants results - nothing else. Predictably, and justifiably, Master Tung Fu Rue disagreed, sensing his pupil’s dark intentions, and deemed Geese unfit to learn the most sacred arts. So instead, he passed them onto Jeff Bogard. This only furthered the two’s rivalry, and Geese’s hatred for the man rose to a boiling point. He… did not take the news well, suffice to say.
Boomstick: Severing his ties to the school, Geese focused his rage and indignation into something productive: returning to South Town, overthrowing the local kingpin, and establishing a criminal empire which controlled everything. And when that dastardly Jeff Bogard had the nerve to show up years later and become a pillar of the community, Geese wasted no time putting him in his place. A.K.A. six feet under. Right in front of his kids, too… Because that won’t come back to bite him in the ass. Surely not.
Wiz: And for the next ten or so years, Geese enjoyed himself. He even got married and had a son named Rock, further proving the Howard bloodline’s impeccable taste with names. And then he promptly left his wife and son to... rot in poverty, and… even turned the boy away when he sought financial aid for his... deathly ill mother… Wow, not even a hint of irony.
Popup: Geese’s chi techniques seem to be somewhat hereditary, as without much training, Rock was capable of using the Raging Storm. Even when under tutelage from Terry Bogard, Rock still uses moves reminiscent of his father, albeit with his own personal spin on them.
Boomstick: But hey, he’s got a very intense appreciation for Japanese culture. Clothing, architecture, music, hell, even interior design! But at the same time, he’s very patriotic, having American flags in his Japanese garden. He’s got to be the world’s strongest weeb! He’s even an anime girl himself… sometimes.
Wiz: Not just the strongest weeb, but one of the strongest men on Earth. After conquering South Town, Geese created the King of Fighters tournament to showcase his dominance as the strongest fighter alive, and he’s not just bragging. Geese has obliterated entire swathes of forest with his chi, has smacked around characters who can demolish buildings with a single blast, and one of his subordinates, Takuma, was able to redirect a shot from the city-annihilating satellite laser, the Zero Cannon.
Boomstick: We know that South Town is based on real-life South Miami, and the Zero Cannon was going to destroy it all in one blast. Taking into account the distance between the cannon’s position in orbit and the Earth’s surface, it would have to be moving over 2 percent the speed of light, and hit with a force of around 17 Megatons of TNT! And Geese is far stronger than Takuma.
Wiz: But even more impressive is when Geese fought and defeated the reality-warping entity, Verse, in only two moves. And he was capable of creating a hurricane over the King of Fighters stadium he was fought in. By measuring its size compared to the stadium to get the mass of the clouds, making a storm that big would take about 1.88 gigatons of TNT.
Popup: It could be argued that Verse’s hurricane creation could have been created with his reality-warping power, but there’s no reason to suggest that he would not be capable of pulling off such a feat on his own. Especially considering that Verse is more than comparable to other fighters like Orochi Shermie, of whom he has her soul and powers, and Shermie can manipulate the weather to create storms worth over 32 Megatons of TNT.
Boomstick: But for Geese, all this would come to an abrupt conclusion. In another bout of Deja vu, Jeff’s own son had been hard at work becoming a mixed-martial-arts master, determined to avenge his father’s assassination. The bouts in the King of Fighters tournament were so intense that they were compared to fights between starving wolves, so it's only fitting that the man who climbed the ranks and won the tournament would receive a title fitting of his accomplishments. And so, in the final rounds of the King of Fighters tournament Geese himself ran, he’d face off with the Legendary Hungry Wolf himself, Terry Bogard.
Wiz: It was one of the fiercest battles that had ever been witnessed. Fuelled by anger and a drive for revenge, Terry wasn’t going to fall, but Geese had no such intentions of losing to a Bogard of all people. But only one could emerge the victor, and the son of Bogard found his justice as Geese fell from his skyscraper window to the harsh streets of South Town below.
Boomstick: But Geese survived, and continued on living to terrorise South Town on multiple occasions, eventually hosting yet another tournament, hungry for his revenge against Terry. But he’d ultimately find himself in the same sticky situation: defeated by Terry, and moments away from falling to his doom. Mr. Bogard, being the good man he is, attempted to save his most hated nemesis.
Wiz: But Geese Howard merely laughed. For here, the mighty rule. And those who are blinded by ambition or consumed by vengeance... cannot exist.
Geese: I’ll show you what it means to cross Geese Howard. I’ll carve it right into that body of yours…
DEATH BATTLE![]
Mishima Zaibatsu
A sprawling city, blanketed by ephemeral twilight. The last remnants of the sun’s light gleamed off of building windows and skyscrapers dotted the skyline as far as the eye could see, but one rose tall amongst the rest. A building as impressive as it was large, there was no mistaking the sight of the Mishima Zaibatsu. A shining, blue logo sported on the front of the structure, the multinational conglomerate was known worldwide for many things: hosting the King of Iron Fist Tournament, impressive business acumen, arms manufacturing, and starting World War III.
Though the current head did not declare such action, the Zaibatsu was already embroiled in unavoidable conflict with the rest of the world. Though the biotech firm and military powerhouse, G Corporation, had rose up to fight against the Zaibatsu, the entire conflict could be traced back to three individuals. A shattered family, a broken home. And a bloody cycle of hatred, vengeance and retribution.
In the bustling city in which the Zaibatsu main building resided, employees worked diligently under the command of the organisation’s head, as news articles flashed onto a projected screen on a glass table. At the head of this table, the owner of the Zaibatsu sat in his chair, awaiting the arrival of the information which he sought. Though the war was first declared on the world, it had turned into a battle between the Mishima Zaibatsu and G Corporation almost exclusively.
It’s winner-take-all, and the prize is world domination. Both sides are as ruthless as they are cunning, and ultimately, assistance from outside sources may be necessary to tip the scales of battle. The Zaibatsu’s leader knew that the head of G Corporation, Kazuya Mishima, would do anything to take him down and win the war, so he had taken precautions. Bugging the building, he had overheard of plans of assimilate another biological manufacturing corporation under their umbrella, which would expand their range and access to resources, giving them a leg-up in the war.
That wasn’t just going to fly, however. Nothing was going to stop the Mishima Zaibatsu’s leader from fulfilling their ambitions, and so fighting fire with fire was the logical step to beat Kazuya at his own game. For far too long, it had been a back and forth between the two, but it would all come to an end soon; he could feel it. Glancing down at his loyal soldiers, the man heard the resounding sound of heels clicking; the head of the Zaibatsu’s Tekken Force was approaching.
“Ah, Nina” the man spoke, turning his head slightly to greet her “I take it your mission was a success?” The Irish assassin responded curtly. “Yes, all was as you said.” Stepping forward, she notices a small, beige folder with notes sticking out in an organised manner, clearly important somehow. “Good. Then I have your next assignment” the man speaks, handing her the folder. Nina opens the folder, glancing though the information quickly, but getting all the vital information before closing it again. “Understood, it will be done” she responds, turning to leave.
Nina is stopped before she is able to leave, however. “Hold on” the man’s voice alerts her to his command. “About the other request. What information have you gathered?” the deep voice commanding respect from all in the room. “It’s as you suspected, their income far exceeds the average for other protection agencies. Hundreds of times over, in fact. Deeper analysis and reconnaissance has proven that not only do they own this agency, but the local mafia as well. Like a corporate Ouroboros.” Nina concluded promptly, all her information relayed.
Just then, one of the men at the glass table spoke up. “Sir! Urgent news!” the employee called the attention of the Zaibatsu’s head. “It appears that an international tournament has been announced!” The man rising from his seat, dark gray karate gi held together by a crimson belt, and cloth wrappings on the man’s arms to serve as guards. Despite being bald, white hair rose up from the sides of their head. A man who could not be mistaken, this was Heihachi Mishima. His curiosity piqued, Heihachi responded to the man. “Is this Kazuya’s doing?” Only the Zaibatsu had hosted the King of Iron Fist Tournament, and after the seventh was cancelled, there were no plans to host another.
“No, sir. It would appear that a business tycoon from South Town, USA, is hosting a… King of Fighters tournament, as it appears to be called” the man replied to Heihachi, diligent in his work. “Really now?” Heihachi spoke, glancing down at the man. “The gall of this fool to attempt to imitate the King of Iron Fist Tournament! But it works out in our favour. We need to pay this South Town a visit, it would appear.” Heihachi spoke with conviction, sporting a small smirk.
“Everything is falling into place, and soon we shall have both the Howard Connection and this imitation tournament under our control! I leave you to your mission, Nina. I expect your success.” Heihachi said, dismissing the older Williams sister. The faint sound of heels clicking away indicated Nina’s departure, and Heihachi returned his focus to the men in front of him. “Prepare for immediate departure. We have a tournament to crash.” the leader’s voice ordered, turning away and walking through the Zaibatsu’s many hallways to an elevator, where the machine took Heihachi to his destination.
Striding out onto the rooftop, a jet awaited the head of the Mishima Zaibatsu. Entering the aircraft, Heihachi thought out his course of action upon arrival, and though there were many routes he could take to seize control over this opposing company, there was only one true method. A display of power is how things are taken, as it has always been. The mighty stand above all others and rule. This would be no different.
Geese Tower, the next day
Elsewhere, above a bustling city, a man in a white karate gi, with ornate red pants stood alone. Gazing over the entirety of South Town, he knew that it was his domain. His body sported numerous scars from battles long past, most predominantly, one across his chest. Golden necklace matching his blond hair, the CEO of Howard Connection, Geese Howard, awaited the arrival of one man. The son of his rival, the Legendary Hungry Wolf, Terry Bogard. He had been defeated by the man once, but this time would be different. He would get his vengeance.
Geese was aware that Terry had entered this tournament, and he expected him to win. Some new faces had appeared for battle, but if Terry did not make it to him, it would only further prove that he was not worthy enough to stand in his presence. The waning light of day made its descent past the horizon as afternoon slowly turned to twilight, and eventually to evening. It would soon be night, and lights in the city below gradually began to turn on, the residents illuminating their homes and businesses.
Through the top floors of Geese Tower, a harsh breeze blew, rustling the reigning CEO’s gi. He closes his eyes for a moment, feeling the chi of Gaia flow through him, briefly attaining a sense of serenity that he was not often afforded. A busy man he was, but Hyakkokuseiken was a useful art, and one that had aided him well. It reminded him of how far he’d come. From those painful years on the streets to now ruling over the town he’d once suffered in. Cathartic in a way.
This was not an act Geese often partook in, but Terry would soon appear to challenge him, and there was no harm in a brief calm before the storm. A brief respite, but not something he could dally with for long. Snapping himself out of this trance, Geese walked back in from the balcony to the central room, lit with ornate lanterns and small touches of Buddhist décor. A religious man Geese was not, but he held a deep respect for Japanese culture, and this respect expressed itself in his room design.
The wind picking up in intensity, a flash of lightning illuminated the darkening sky, accompanying thunder ripping through the silence Geese had found himself in. A storm would be upon him soon. A fitting atmosphere for their rematch. Before Geese could continue this train of thought however, he felt a spike in the aura of his guards in the lower floors of his tower, quickly flaring up before falling rapidly. Not dead, but unconscious.
This was strange, to say the least. Their orders were to allow Bogard to find his way to the roof, and not interfere with their bout. He doubted that Terry was the type to attack bystanders, but there was a first time for everything. But the sensation kept rocking Geese, multiple men falling at once, and much too fast for Bogard to have done it alone. Did he bring others with him? Or was this an outside force? Many thoughts found their place in Geese’s mind, but he quelled them all. No matter the situation, anyone foolish enough to attack him and his men had already sealed their fate.
The CEO’s curiosity would be satiated as the first sliding door to the room opened. Geese could not see it, but he knew the sound. Whoever had decided to show their face to him was about to appear, and they would regret their decision greatly. The second sliding open, Geese could make out the faint silhouette of the intruder, though it was difficult to decipher with the amount of light in the room. Another flash of lightning crashing through the night provided Geese with just the light he needed, as he could now clearly make out the shadow of his opposition.
The third and final door sliding open, the head of the Mishima Zaibatsu, Heihachi Mishima, stood facing the CEO of Howard Connection. “Is this it? I was expecting a much bigger welcome.” A faint look of surprise appearing on Geese’s face, he addressed the man in front of him. “I was expecting Bogard, but instead a dead man walking appears to face me? How amusing…” Geese wasn’t ignorant to recent events occurring in the world. Japan had been thrust into the throes of war between the Mishima Financial Group and G Corporation, and the Zaibatsu’s global martial arts tournament had been cancelled following news of the CEO’s death.
And yet here he stood. Heihachi Mishima was clearly alive and kicking, and of all things, was staring him down in his own tower, a fair distance away from his home continent. “I don’t die that easily, fool” Heihachi responded as he walked forward, closing the distance between the two kings of martial arts. “And I take it you aren’t here for the tournament? Otherwise you wouldn’t have gone through the trouble of taking out my security personnel.” Geese locked eyes with Heihachi, seeing a hint of amusement shining in the older fighter’s gaze.
Heihachi simply laughed. “Ha! Your guards are better than most, but they require more training. I will see to that they are better equipped to handle threats once I assume control of this… Howard Connection of yours.” Raising an eyebrow and scoffing, Geese was entirely unimpressed “So you finally reveal your true motives. If you insist on battling for control, then I shall wrench the Zaibatsu from your cold, dead hands. A slight against Geese Howard is most unforgivable.” A similar cocky smirk to the one Heihachi wore appeared on Geese’s face, eyes glinting with killer intent.
His smirk breaking into a full-on smile, Heihachi chuckled. Truly, Geese was amusing. “You think yourself capable of world domination?” Circling the Howard Connection CEO, the rival company head put himself into a state of alertness, ready for combat. “You’re naught but a bird trying to spread his wings too far. Try to reach the sun, and you’ll burn up. A flightless fowl fits you far better.”
Both men stared at each other intently. Their banter only delaying the inevitable, and both knew it. But no matter the contest, they would not back down. The mental battle was still to be won before the physical. “Mishima... The world is too big for you to control. Leave it all to me. You can just die.” Geese spoke, arrogance dripping into his tone as he addressed the rival CEO. Knowing that his foe sought to take everything he had worked for right from under him, it was only fitting that the winner of this battle should walk away with not just their life, but the other’s company in hand. After everything each had fought through, there was no option for mercy, nor defeat.
“Show me what you’re capable of, bastard.” Heihachi declared as he readied himself, falling into a stance practiced by users of his family’s line of martial arts; his fists crackling with electricity. Geese’s threat went ignored. It was beneath him. “I’ll stain my hands…” Geese began to draw chi from Gaia, his hands surrounded in a light blue glow. “…with your blood.”
Lightning cracked through the night sky, accompanied by pouring rain as the two fighters squared off. Both were ready, focused, and prepared for battle, but only one could walk away. Cowards and whining fools begone, for the weak shall perish and only the mightiest shall rule.
FIGHT!
(Cue Soy Sauce for Geese - Fatal Fury Special)
Heihachi and Geese simply stared at each other for a moment as lightning crashed through the sky. Followed shortly by the sound of booming thunder, both fighters shot forth as if spurred on by the thunder itself. Their feet barely touching the ground as they ran at each other, Heihachi and Geese thrust their fists forwards, meeting in the centre of the room as they collided. Knuckle to knuckle, the sheer force the opposing CEOs held was enough to shake the room they stood in with a violent shockwave of electrical energy, literal sparks flying from the impact of their strike.
Both independently raised a smirk, almost impressed with their foe’s strength, but still assured in their own victory. Jumping back to separate corners of the room, electricity faintly shimmering at the location of their impact. Using this regained distance to his advantage, Geese focused the Earth’s energy into the palm of his hands, an azure glow coating his right hand as he held it back before swiping it upwards, releasing a blue wave of pure energy across the ground with a cry, “Reppuken!”.
Launching one of his signature attacks, Geese let the wave of energy rocket towards Heihachi, who took note of the projectile quickly. Running towards the attack, Heihachi quickly jumped over it, using his momentum to springboard him into another move, this time a jab to Geese’s stomach. Coughing from the blow, Geese was not given any time to recover as he felt his legs being swept out from underneath him, Heihachi having swiftly struck out in order to remove his support as Geese dropped to the floor.
Knowing that his foe would capitalise on this moment of weakness, Geese rolled his body away from Heihachi just in time to avoid the Zaibatsu CEO dropping his knee onto the floor, indenting the smooth material upon which they stood. Rising onto his knees, Geese sent a Reppuken in Heihachi’s direction, the Zaibatsu head being forced to sidestep the projectile and halt his offence. Now risen to his feet, Geese jumps into the air, once more coating his fists in a light-blue haze as he fires sphere-shaped orb of energy directly at Heihachi, again crying out the name of his attack, “Shippuken!” as he was lightly pushed back in the air.
Preoccupied with the evasion of Geese’s Reppuken, Heihachi wasn’t prepared for a secondary attack, and was caught off-guard by the energy blast. Impacting the CEO directly in the chest, Heihachi was pushed back, the force of Geese’s blast clearly held weight and power behind it. The leader of the Howard Connection evidently had ways to keep him at a distance, so Heihachi knew that he had to get in close if he wanted to make any progress. Understanding that Geese would soon come down from the air, this time would be crucial.
Breaking into a sprint, Heihachi once again found himself in front of the Howard Connection CEO, and without any time wasted, began his assault once more. Stomping his foot into the ground, he opened his hands and thrust them forth and Geese for his Demon Breath, a powerful double palm strike. Knocking Geese backward, the South Town ruler stumbled for a second, attempting to regain his bearings. Intent on not allowing Geese time to recover, Heihachi twists his body side-on, and delivers a striking elbow to the elder Howard’s chest in the same spot he had previously struck, furthering the impact.
Flying backwards from the fierce blow, Geese felt the cold floor on his back as Heihachi kept approaching, flipping himself into the air to land on top of Geese with his legs outstretched, his Demon Scissors technique perfectly executed. Sent sprawling, Geese planted his hands onto the ground and flipped himself into the air, launching another Shippuken to further the distance between the two.
Sidestepping the projectile, Heihachi threw a haymaker directly at Geese’s chest, the air around his fist sparking with electrical energy. But the Howard Connection CEO was ready for such a move and caught the fist in his opened palm, going on the defensive to catch Heihachi off-guard. Knowing he had his opponent right where he wanted him, Geese swiftly grabbed hold of Heihachi, using his weight against him and swinging the Zaibatsu CEO above his head and onto the ground with his Jōdan'ateminage, cockily spouting his iconic catchphrase.
“Predictable!” Geese shouted, his technique completed and his foe now laying defenceless out on the ground. Not wasting any time, Geese knew his foe wasn’t going to take this lying down, both literally and metaphorically, so now was the ideal moment to capitalise on this newfound vulnerability. Gathering azure chi into his hands, Geese swung both of his hands upwards, left before the right, launching sharp waves of the Earth’s energy at Heihachi. “Double Reppuken!” the blonde man shouted, striking the Zaibatsu head, launching him back and into the air.
Continuing his string of attacks, Geese followed up with a Gedan Atemi-Uchi, grabbing his foe’s head mid-air, and spinning him around just in time for a lightning-charged kick to impact Heihachi, the crime lord drawing on some of his kickboxing techniques to great effect. Heihachi bounced along the ground, but the elder Howard knew no time was to be wasted and dashed up to Heihachi, once more grabbing him, this time by his gi, and threw him directly upwards, coated in a slight orange tint. Heihachi’s time in the air would be short-lived, however, as he impacted with a ball of pure energy, blasting him directly downwards into the ground, cratering it upon impact.
His Explosion Ball performed flawlessly, Geese strode over to Heihachi and lifted a foot up, slamming it down onto the Zaibatsu CEO as he tried to push himself off the ground. “Stay down, maggot” Geese berated, arrogantly displaying his dominance over Heihachi and opting to humiliate the rival company head. Failing to do anything but annoy Heihachi, he knew this would be a difficult position to get out of with pure strength alone, as Geese had proven himself surprisingly capable. Still he had been in worse positions before, and though he was confident that escape was possible with strength alone, perhaps a more unique application of his abilities could be used instead.
Channelling his ki throughout his body, Heihachi sparked with electrical energy, forcefully shocking Geese and forcing him to recoil, numbing his leg temporarily and causing him to back off. Now with only one reliable leg to stand on, Heihachi capitalised with no delay. Kicking at Geese’s properly functioning knee, Heihachi knocked the Howard Connection CEO further backward, the South Town crime lord nearly falling over completely. Rolling after doing so, Heihachi used this momentum to aid him in jumping into the air, landing a powerful strike at Geese’s face as gravity assisted him. His feet met the floor with an audible thud, and Heihachi prepared himself for another blow.
Reversing the direction he had attacked Geese from, Heihachi crouched to his knees and quickly sprang up, landing a savage uppercut to the crime lord’s head, concluding with a haymaker to the cheek and a lightning-infused chop to the side. Though he was regaining feeling in his legs, the same couldn’t be said for the rest of Geese, as Heihachi’s fast-paced slew of attacks had stunned him. Rolling behind Geese to continue his brutal assault, Heihachi grabbed him by the gi, slamming his knee into Geese’s chest before backhanding the CEO.
Concluding his volley of strikes, Heihachi pulled back his arm, his fist emitting blue sparks of lightning. With one fluid motion, he delivered a hefty punch to Geese’s chest, launching the crime lord back along the top floor of his tower. Grinding to a halt, Geese looked up onto to see Heihachi towering over him, the Zaibatsu head having closed the distance in little time, “You’re an eyesore”. Chuckling lightly, he reached down to grasp Geese around the neck, lifting him up to eye level with his impressive strength. Geese felt his throat grabbed with more power than he had anticipated, but he remains able to turn this around, and attempts to do so.
Unamused with Heihachi’s grapple, Geese began to go for an attack, his limbs glowing caerulean as he grasped on to Heihachi’s arm, but his would-be victim quickly caught on, and threw Geese by the throat to his right, the ruler of South Town impacting against a study pillar which cracked upon contact, rag dolled as if he was naught but a broken toy. Back hitting the stone, Geese remained upright, and fell onto his feet. Perhaps Heihachi was slightly better than he had given him credit for, but there was no way that he could defeat the CEO of Howard Connection. A laughable, but foolish thought, of that Geese was certain.
Regaining his stability, Geese looked forward in time to see Heihachi flying at him, fist outstretched. Swiftly sidestepping the attack, Geese evaded Heihachi’s strike, letting the Zaibatsu head collide with the pillar, shattering it entirely. Dust and rubble falling into the floor, Geese noticed this moment of opportunity, and stepped forwards, striking Heihachi with a chi-infused fist to the chin, uppercutting the CEO fiercely.
Barely flinching, Heihachi struck out again, launching a straight punch at Geese’s forehead, which the crime lord evaded by twisting his body to the right, barely out of the way of the blow. Jutting his elbow out quickly, Geese struck Heihachi in the gut, following up with a series of palm strikes. The first knocked Heihachi off-balance. The second pushed him back further. The third dealt a powerful blow that sent him sprawling across the floor. Concluding his Ja’ei Ken, Geese grasped Heihachi‘s gi, channelling chi throughout his body to assist him in his next move.
Throwing Heihachi directly upwards with a grunt of exertion, the Zaibatsu head impacted against the ceiling, cracking and cratering the material with his weight, gravity taking effect soon after. Falling back towards the ground, Heihachi felt a strong kick landing directly against his back, Geese having used this opening for a counterattack. Sent to his knees, Heihachi rolled, using the momentum to carry him away from his opponent. Jumping to his feet, Heihachi was resolved to not stay down and give his opponent the time to capitalise. His back was surely bruised, and some ribs likely broken, but his opponent’s strength was nothing compared to that of a devil’s. He had plenty of knowledge in that regard.
Standing back and cockily laughing, Geese stared down Heihachi conceitedly. “Come on! I expected more from the head of the Mishima clan” his aura flared significantly, though it was not used offensively. “You’re a bit more capable than I gave you credit for, but none can withstand my iron fists!” sporting a small smirk, Heihachi stared back at Geese, matching his cocky attitude with his own. Thunder crashed outside of Geese Tower, the storm continuing to rage on.
(Cue Unseen Entities - Under Night In-Birth)
Sprinting forth, the fists of both crime lords met again, each letting loose an electrical charge that travelled around the room. Ducking swiftly, Heihachi jabbed his fist into Geese’s stomach, forcing the ruler of South Town to cough for air before jabbing Geese twice with his left fist. With his lightning fast movements, Heihachi gave no room for counterattack, and finished the Mishima family Flash Punch Combo with an electrically charged punch to the abdomen that knocked Geese to the ground. Crouching and spinning around, Heihachi stuck his leg out, kicking Geese twice as he completed his Spinning Demon technique.
Bringing his leg up, Heihachi kicked Geese in the stomach, launching him upwards slightly with an axe kick, just in time to be elbowed in the gut, followed up by a kick to the chest, sending him flying backwards. Repeating his same crouched spin kicks, this time Heihachi opted to end his string of attacks with one of his most powerful moves. Jumping upward, Heihachi concluded his combo with the classic Dragon Uppercut, causing Geese to flip backwards in the air, landing face-first onto the ground. Adding insult to injury, Heihachi brought his foot down hard on Geese’s back, executing the Geta Stomp without issue, forcing Geese to bounce along the ground slightly.
Continuing to roll, Geese allowed this momentum to aid him, launching a close-range Shippuken onto the ground, forcing himself up. Bruised, but still capable of combat, Geese stood on his feet, crouching slightly as azure energy surrounded his entire body, localising itself primarily in his palms. “Double Reppuken!” deciding to bring out some of the big guns, Geese swung his arms skyward, sending forth a volley of energy blasts. Racing towards the crime lord, Heihachi wasted no time in jumping over the projectiles, making use of its entirely grounded range.
Landing on his feet, Heihachi threw a punch forward, intent on connecting with Geese in all of his smug arrogance. What Heihachi wasn’t expecting however, was for the CEO to catch his fist, shoving him away, clearly utilising a more defensive style then he had previously. Launching a palm strike at Heihachi’s torso, Geese’s attack connected with a small spark of electricity, though it didn’t keep Heihachi at bay for long. Focused on his offence, the head of the Mishima Zaibatsu unleashed yet more attacks, each being redirected and pushed to the side by the Howard Connection founder.
Throwing out a punch himself, Geese leant back before thrusting his fist forward, but it too was met by a defensive block from Heihachi, who himself threw out a lightning-infused karate chop, only to be denied by Geese catching his hand. Breaking the hold with a reverse swipe from his palm, Geese turned one attack into another, attempting a second straight punch at the Zaibatsu CEO. Sparks of electricity flew between the two fighters as they clashed, matching the intensity of the raging storm outside of the building they inhabited. Wasting no time, Heihachi sprang off his feet, kicking at the ruler of South Town, his other foot primed to follow up soon after.
Catching one leg, Geese knew the second would soon follow. Heihachi’s body spinning around to accentuate the potency of his strike, his other foot struck Geese’s waiting hands, now exactly where Geese wanted him. Lifting his left hand to grasp Heihachi’s face as his right stayed put on his leg, Geese leant back, lifting Heihachi’s entire body above his head before twisting around to slam him into the ground with the Oni Hammon, kicking up dust and rubble around the arena as Heihachi impacted with the cold surface, “Too easy!”.
Lying flat on his back, Heihachi refused to be put at a disadvantage, and kicked at Geese’s shins, attempting to put some room between the two. The South Town ruler had expected this however, and caught Heihachi’s foot, lifting him up by said foot and spun around in a 360 degree movement, letting go of the Zaibatsu head as he crashed into a pillar, cracking the foundation. Regaining his bearings, Heihachi punched the base of the pillar, cracking it further. Taken aback by his foe’s actions, Geese simply stood and observed, using this moment to catch his breath and focus on his chi.
Striking the pillar with a fast karate chop, the stone beam of support fell onto the ground with a resounding thud, dust flying across the floor. Wasting no time, Heihachi picked up the pillar and Geese continued to wait, amused by his actions. Crossing his arms, Geese laughed lightly, goading the opposing CEO on. “Come on” he spoke, holding his hand outward before bringing it back towards him in a ‘come here’ motion. Responding to the taunt, Heihachi threw the pillar directly at the Howard Connection leader, small pieces of rock breaking off as it flew through the air. Chuckling, Geese held his hand outward, aimed towards the pillar flying towards him at breakneck speeds.
Hand glowing sapphire, Geese launched a ball of fast-moving energy directly at the pillar, causing the entire object to shatter upon contact. Bits of rock flying around the room and a thick cloud of dust kicked up, Heihachi had the perfect cover to make his approach. Sprinting at Geese, he jumped into the air off his legs, left foot kicking at Geese’s chest as he spun, landing another with his right. Swiftly transitioning into a Spinning Demon, Heihachi successfully landed two spinning strikes before transitioning into another Dragon Uppercut, sending Geese into the air, though with less power compared to the previous use of this technique.
Without delay, Heihachi caught Geese’s descent with a Demon’s Breath, the double palm strike sending him flying backwards. Planting his hands into the ground, Geese caught himself from falling and flipped backwards, sending a Shippuken behind him to launch him forward, directly at Heihachi. Not expecting the unorthodox move, Heihachi was caught off-guard, and unable to react, feeling the full force of a jab to the gut, which Geese then capitalised on by spinning his body, bringing his arms down to strike his foe. Arms glowing navy as his offence continued, Geese brought them upwards with a cry, “Double Reppuken!” the waves flying from his hands. Crashing into Heihachi, both lashed at his feet, their energy scalding in intensity.
Holding his right arm back, lightning gathered in his palm, charging his next attack with shocking force, “Raigou Reppuken!”. The wave of energy even larger, Heihachi was caught and unable to avoid the attack in time, the one blast hitting with the force of four, and sending electricity rocketing into his body. Stepping back from the technique, Heihachi attempted to catch his breath for a second, but Geese didn’t allow Heihachi that time, lifting his knee to strike Heihachi’s chest, following up with a swipe across his midsection. Transitioning into a lightning-infused leg sweep and high kick to the head, Geese set Heihachi up for the rest of his combo.
Sweeping his leg to remove Heihachi’s centre of balance, he spun around, kicking him in the chest before landing an attack to the same location with a shoulder charge. Opting to bring in a new attack that Heihachi had not seen before, Geese gathered Gaia’s energy into his hands, almost as if holding a ball of pure, blue energy. Holding his palms forth, Geese unleashed his attack, azure trails of chi following the movements of his arms as he blasted Heihachi point-blank with the catalysed energy of the Earth. Flying back, Heihachi had no time to right himself before feeling the brunt of a Reppuken strike at his legs, keeping him unbalanced.
Rushing forth, Geese landed an upwards strike to Heihachi’s chest, using this moment of opportunity to grab onto Heihachi’s gi, and throwing the elder Mishima into the air in an arcing motion behind him. Quickly catching Heihachi with a lightning-infused foot to the back, Geese was unrelenting in his offence. Sweeping his legs and kicking his head, Geese never let up, bringing his hands down on top of Heihachi. Rolling back, the Mishima clan head shook his head to rid himself of the dizzying effects of Geese’s blows, preparing himself just in time to see another foot flying at his head.
With little time to evade, Heihachi caught Geese’s leg as it impacted against his face, anger the primary emotion which drove their combat. Yet an element of surprise was clear as day. Both kept moves up their sleeves they were just beginning to show, and even when caught off-guard, there was always something they could use to their advantage. It was time to stop holding back. Keeping one foot solidly planted on the ground, Heihachi kicked Geese’s chest, executing his Heaven’s Wrath and knocking him back.
Returning to his normal position, Geese threw his fist at the incoming Heihachi, the Zaibatsu CEO having closed the distance between them in little time. Ducking under the haymaker, Heihachi covered his fist in electricity before launching a straight uppercut, the signature Electric Wind God Fist dealing significant damage to the senior Howard. Sent into the air slightly, Geese’s descent posed no real threat to him, and he could afford to land on his feet. No such luck, as Heihachi quickly grabbed Geese by the gi, flipping him upside down whilst jumping into the air. Catching Geese by surprise once more, Heihachi quickly descended onto the ground, slamming Geese head-first through the ground.
Letting go of the South Town crime lord, Heihachi kicked away from him, landing upon the ground safely. His foe was not as lucky, as he endured the full brunt of Heihachi’s Jumping Powerbomb that tore through the very ground they stood on. Wood and stone had parted under their immense weight and the strain upon Geese’s neck was severely painful, culminating in his final slam against the lower floor of Geese Tower. The support now unstable, debris slowly began to fall around the two fighters as the respective CEOs found their footing in the new environment. Enough damage could cause the top floor to collapse entirely, and with the storm raging outside, it was only a matter of time before there would be drastic damage done to the building.
“You bastard!” Geese yelled in his fury, still rising from the onslaught he endured. Locking eyes with Heihachi, Geese tore the now-ripped gi from his upper body entirely, leaving him shirtless in the aftermath of the attack. His anger rising to previously unreached peaks, Geese felt the power of Gaia surround him, empowering him, fuelling his rage. Stepping towards Heihachi, Geese spoke out in defiance, “Bring it on, you bastard! The Mishima line ends here!” Heihachi merely responded with a light chuckle, clearly amused with the situation. “I’ll snap you like a twig!” Heihachi responded, clenching his fist. He himself was feeling the strain of battle, but the adrenaline pumping through his veins blocked it out.
(Cue EMIYA – Kenji Kawai vers.2 - Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works (Movie))
Both businessmen raced towards each other, channelling their life energies into their fists as they met in the middle of the room, surrounded by falling debris. Their lightning-infused fists met, sending electrical shockwaves around the room. Pushed back slightly, the rubble around the two fighters shattered under the pressure of their pure energy, the kings of fighting clashing once more. Over and over, Geese and Heihachi met knuckle-to-knuckle, and each time more energy would be dispersed throughout the room. What had once been ornate tables were now naught but dispersed piles of splintered wood, and all glass has long since been turned into microscopic shards, now harmless and barely noticeable.
The combat of these megalomaniacal businessmen tore up the building in which they fought, and even the falling debris cowered and shattered under their might. The storm outside was more comparable to a mighty tempest, shaking Geese Tower from the waves of energy the fighters were outputting. Lightning flashed through the sky outside, thunder following the blinding streak through the night. Both CEOs threw their fists forward, but neither connected with the other’s. Instead, they bypassed the other fist, striking the cheek of their opponent directly, each hand crackling with electrical energy. Forcing each other back, the men stumbled slightly, reeling from the potent strike they each endured.
Always the aggressor, Heihachi kept up the pressure with no delay, lashing out with a swift kick to Geese’ shins. Yet the crime lord was expecting this, and blocked the low attack with his hands, transitioning into an electrical backhand away, pulling off his Gedan Atemi-Uchi without a hitch. Knocking Heihachi onto the ground, Geese wasted no time in following up the attack, grabbing Heihachi’s head with his calloused fingers. Lifting him up to eye level, Geese glared at Heihachi haughtily, smirking as he spun around, slamming him into the ground again, “Die. Forever!”. But that wasn’t all, as the lightning Geese had been building up was about to bear fruit in their battle.
A thunderclap from above alerted Heihachi, and a sudden bolt of lightning tore through the upper layers of Geese Tower, parting the roof and higher floors to strike Heihachi with indescribable force – Geese’s Thunder Break being used to the fullest extent of its capabilities. Electricity forcing his body to convulse, Heihachi endured the countless volts that surged through his body all at once, agonising pain rocking his body as Geese stood back and laughed, his Raimeigōha Nage a success. Heihachi remained lying flat on the ground for what felt like an eternity to him, the pain he was enduring was incommunicable, and smoke rose from his body, most of his gi burned off as electricity still surrounded his body, circling him like a band of pure lightning.
Opening his eyes, Heihachi clenched his fist, powering through the intense anguish that rocked his body, and dispelling the lightning around him. His skin seared in blazing agony, yet he persevered, forcing his body to pull itself up to continue fighting. Heihachi Mishima wouldn’t die like a coward, and certainly not to something as meagre as lightning. Rising to his feet, Heihachi glared daggers at his foe, who was honestly taken aback that he was managing to stand after such a blow. Seeking to blow him back, Geese ran at Heihachi with both hands outstretched, aiming for a double palm strike to the chest. His path already telegraphed by Heihachi, the elder Mishima caught both of Geese’s hands with his own, sporting a downright cocky grin.
Lifting his right foot up, Heihachi stomped down on Geese’s own, holding him in close for a brutal headbutt. Smashing his forehead against Geese’s, Heihachi shone with azure energy, lightning crackling around his head as he impacted against the ruler of South Town with his Rage Drive, forcing him back. Sent stumbling, Geese sought to right himself, but tripped over some fallen rubble, falling into more of a seated position, staring up at Heihachi. “Had enough? These fists are still fresh if your nose is having fun.” Heihachi quipped, entering a dynamic pose indicative of his readiness for combat. Feeling the blood trickle from his nose, Geese brought a hand to the area, wiping the blood away in one swift motion.
“You’re a bit better than I anticipated, old man. Perhaps I will enjoy this!” Geese responded, his tone rich with superiority, still holding an unwavering smirk. Holding a flat palm out in Heihachi’s direction, Geese launched wave after wave of spherical projectiles, the power held by even orbs as small as this was nothing short of destructive. Evading the storm of energy blasts, Heihachi watched as the spheres crashed against the surrounding area, weakening the stability of the structure in which they resided. Sending a straight punch Geese’s way, the crime lord rolled to the side in order to evade as Heihachi struck hard stone, shattering the rock upon contact.
The rest of the upper floors beginning to crumble, wood and stone fell around the fighters. Both standing back, they ran at each other, each lifting up their legs to strike at each other as a singular stone fell, and shattered under the shockwave of their kick. Each being pushed back, Geese reached out to grab Heihachi’s head, gripping it fiercely and performing his Chūdan'ateminage, spinning the Zaibatsu CEO around. Heihachi was prepared however, and grabbed hold of Geese’s hand as it let him go, pulling him into a spinning throw as well. Breaking Heihachi’s hold, Geese launched a swift palm strike at Heihachi, pushing him back, before lifting his leg up high, sparking with electricity, immediately bringing it down on Heihachi’s head with his Fudōken Un variant.
Both kings of fighting backing off slightly, they took a second to breathe, chests heaving from the exertion the battle took on them. Starting to circle each other like starving wolves, the CEOs took a moment for introspection. “He uses a defensive style… Aikido, like Nina’s…” Heihachi thought to himself, coming to understand Geese’s preferred method of combat. Similarly, Geese was contemplating his opponent’s form, “It’s all aggression, no defence... But his power is impressive... Need to focus on blocks and openings…”
Their rare moment of deep thought over, the businessmen stopped circling each other. The crashing lightning that surrounded Geese Tower rattled the foundations of the building itself, Geese raised his hand into the sky, the night illuminated by flashes of lightning. His hand shimmering with electricity, Geese pointed it directly at Heihachi. Instinctively knowing something was coming, Heihachi rolled forwards, just in time to avoid another thunderbolt crashing through Geese Tower where he previously stood. Springing from his roll to a Dragon Uppercut, Heihachi used his speed and momentum to his advantage.
Striking Geese before he had even seen the attack coming, the crime lord reverted to a defensive position, palms facing outward. Unrelenting in his assault, Heihachi kept up the pressure, arms flying at Geese with practised precision. Utilising his training to the best of his ability, Geese stepped back, and pushed Heihachi’s wrists away from him when they neared. Defending against the Zaibatsu head’s blows, Geese upheld his defence. His history in Aikijutsu informing his decisions, the leader of the Howard Connection redirected the opposing CEO’s strikes, pushing Heihachi back at every turn.
Catching a quick jab from Heihachi, Geese reached out for his other hand, attempting another Jōdan'ateminage, lifting the leader of the Mishima Zaibatsu over his head. Knowing what was coming, Heihachi maneuverered his body mid-air, still holding onto Geese’s hands and used Geese’s throw to launch his own counter. Transitioning from Geese’s grapple, Heihachi planted his feet solidly onto the ground, throwing Geese above his head instead, reversing the throw and sending the ruler of South Town crashing into the wall of his tower.
Back hitting the wall, Geese saw Heihachi quickly approaching. Knowing that close-range was his forte, Geese opted to use that to his advantage. Holding his hand outwards, Geese sent an azure orb of energy rocketing towards Heihachi, forcing him to sidestep the attack. Moving his hand to follow Heihachi, Geese kept the Zaibatsu head on the move, constantly running to avoid the spheres. Keeping up his cerulean volley, Heihachi ducked and rolled under one and jumped over another, using his agility to the utmost lengths in order to avoid the orbs.
With each sphere, Heihachi slowly closed the distance, creeping ever closer to Geese as the crime lord soon found himself nearly backed into a corner. The elder Mishima encroaching, Geese simply held his hand out to Heihachi’s head, giving him no time to avoid. Blue energy gathering in his palms, Geese launched the ball, but Heihachi had disappeared! Faster than he could comprehend, Geese felt a sharp pain in his stomach, Heihachi’s fist striking him with immense force, causing the Howard to cough up crimson spurts of blood. In a fit of rage, Heihachi grabbed Geese’s shoulders, bringing his head down upon him for a savage headbutt with a Stonehead.
Refusing to back down, Geese struck back with his head, returning the assault, but his skull rang with pain upon impact, crashing against Heihachi’s stronger head. Ending the Headbutt Carnival, Heihachi knocked Geese away with a final, electrically-charged headbutt. Stumbling back and clutching at his cranium with a singular hand, Geese launched a Shippuken at Heihachi from close-range with his free hand, pushing himself into the air slightly and creating more distance between the two fighters. Unable to avoid it, Heihachi braced himself for the attack, enduring the brunt of the blast with little harm. With nary a second to breathe, both CEOs rushed back into the fray, fists clashing in the centre of the room.
(Cue My Brother - Berserk)
Electricity brewing in the room, the storm outside could not compare to the ferocity of the two kings of the fist. Deafening thunder and lightning extended past just Geese Tower into South Town as a whole, blanketing the entire city in a dark cover of lightning as the clashing CEOs fought. Sparks flew as the foes battled, showering the room in an electric blue glow of chi, Geese drawing more and more of Gaia’s energy into himself and his surroundings to empower himself.
Enhanced by the chi of the Earth, Geese fought back against Heihachi, and with each attempted blow, he found himself progressing further. At first, it was just hitting back harder, but with more punches thrown, Geese could see he was gaining the advantage. Slipping past hooks and haymakers, Geese felt Heihachi’s ki rise in anger as he evaded more and more attacks. Moving past simple dodges to blocks and counterattacks, Geese soon found himself truly gaining the upper hand.
Raising his hand aloft, Geese aimed it at Heihachi, a sapphire orb beginning to form. Having done this song and dance before, Heihachi directly struck Geese’s hand before he could fire the Shippuken, surprising the Howard Connection CEO. “So he’s adapting, is he?” Geese inwardly pondered, questioning himself about his opponent’s capabilities. Recoiling back, Geese kicked at Heihachi’s torso, being met with a firm defence, and so he pushed back, keeping his distance. Observing that his foe was best suited to close-combat, and skilled enough to keep the fight at a close distance, Geese knew that mid-ranged combat was ideal. Not far enough for him to need to close the distance immediately, yet not close enough for him to be comfortable. Still, if he had to fight up-close, he’s do it on his own terms.
Being brought back into the thick of battle, Geese found himself blocking more of Heihachi’s blows and landing more decisive ones of his own, continually pushing back the Mishima clan head. Forcing his way inward, Geese fell into a progressive groove, advancing on Heihachi. Socking his foe in the chest, Geese could feel the ribs crack under his fist, sending Heihachi reeling back and sputtering maroon blood. Wiping his mouth of blood, Heihachi returned to battle, intent on putting his foe six feet under. A goal undoubtedly shared by the Howard Connection leader in front of him.
Throwing a punch with his left hand, Geese was met with the back of Heihachi’s right, his fists like iron, even when guarding. Switching fists from left to right, Geese threw out another attack, only to be met with Heihachi’s hands guarding his face. Poking at his guard with a safe jab, Geese hit his guard, swiftly attacking with a low punch which Heihachi was just barely able to intercept in time. Air crackling with electricity, both combatants threw a heavy punch at each other, fists colliding and cancelling each other out.
Keeping up the aggression, Heihachi threw out his harm with firm intention, but relying on his Aikijutsu, Geese was able to narrowly evade the strike, pushing Heihachi’s first forward more as he struck his opponent’s jaw with a swift elbow strike. Heihachi temporarily dazed, Geese seized this moment of opportunity and kicked at the back of Heihachi’s calves, hitting the joint with enough power to force Heihachi to crumple. Sending a Reppuken rocketing across the ground, the wave of energy impacted with Heihachi’s kneeling legs, knocking him up slightly. Enough for Geese to land a brutal kick to the Mishima mid-air, sending him flying against the back wall of the room.
Knowing that the longer this battle drew on, the more his opponent would be able to understand his style and counter it, Geese understood that it was time for drastic action. Time for new, more powerful techniques Heihachi couldn’t counter. Resolved in his action, Geese planted his feet solidly on the ground and took a deep breath, inhaling and exhaling with practised ease. A sudden wave of Gaia’s chi following into him, Geese’s entire body took on an azure glow as he raised his hands upwards. Knowing Heihachi would come to him, Geese gathered more and more chi, fuelling his body with newfound strength and empowering his next technique.
As he impacted with the wall, Heihachi bounced off of it, using the momentum to aid him in softening the blow by rolling. Jumping to his feet, Heihachi wasn’t about to lose any time, but as he ran back towards Geese, he saw the crime lord preparing something new. Unsure on what exactly it was, Heihachi wasn’t about to take any chances and sprinted towards Geese, intent on stopping the technique before it could be performed. Geese’s fists reaching a crescendo, he began to speak, tone both filled with icy rage and burning hate, “Raging…”.
Sprinting faster, Heihachi jumped from his feet, bounding towards Geese in the air, just moments away from impact. But just a moment too late. “STOOOOOOOOORM!” Geese shouted with vigour, bringing his hands down onto the ground instantaneously. In the span of no more than a second, violent cobalt energy erupted like a volcano from all around Geese, protecting him in a ring of pure chi from Gaia itself. Like a force of nature, it swept through the room, the sheer power of the technique leaving nothing in its wake. Spiking up, it guarded Geese before Heihachi could make contact, instead hitting the spiked waves, which blew him back in an instant.
Geese Tower shook. Violently, the Raging Storm tore through the building, collapsing the upper floors above the two fighters, bringing stone and wood down around them, but Geese was unscathed, protected by the power of his technique. Lying flat on the floor, Heihachi opened his eyes in time to see rubble fall directly on top of him, burying him alive under tons of cold stone. As the tower began to stop crumbling, the Raging Storm faded away, leaving naught but utter destruction in its wake. Glancing up at the sky, Geese felt the rain pelt down, the lack of any ceiling giving way to the literal storm that shook all of South Town.
His foe crushed, his body weary, and the soothing rain pouring down in the midst of the thunderstorm, Geese began to laugh. Starting small at first, but gradually increasing in volume, Geese looked to the storming sky above, and held his hands high, laughing maniacally and with reckless abandon. Heihachi was dead, and though serious damage has been done to his building, it was nothing that couldn’t be repaired. The feeling of victory was euphoric, and Geese revelled in it. “Burn in hell, you bastard…”.
Electricity building in the clouds above, lightning struck the building around Geese, destroying rubble and scorching the ground. Gazing out upon his city, Geese was absorbed in his victory. Too absorbed to hear the faint moving of rubble, parting for a single fist as it broke through the stone, lightning flashing through the sky behind it. He wasn’t going to let it end like this! After everything he’d been through, every trial he’d endured, Heihachi Mishima wasn’t one to just lay down and die. No, he was one to push forward, no matter the cost. He had been fighting his demons all of his life, and he wasn’t going to give in now!
Electricity flowing through his fist, Heihachi burst from the stone that covered him, falling to his knees. Blood coating his hands and chest, Heihachi was very much alive. Injured and weary, but alive. Coughing and sputtering, Heihachi felt the cold rain pelt down on him as he hacked up blood. Rivers of crimson running across his body, Heihachi’s wounds would be more than fatal to an ordinary man, but he was far too stubborn to let something as meagre as a collapsing building put him down. “Is that all?” Heihachi mocked, making light of the situation despite his wounds.
Rising to his feet, Heihachi tore the rest of his gi off as well, leaving both men shirtless in the pouring rain atop Geese Tower. Turning around, Geese was shocked to see Heihachi alive. After everything he’d endured, he was still standing!? Unbelievable… But there was no choice but to continue. Euphoric joy transforming into seething anger, Geese’s fury was indescribable. A clear, thin sheen of rain covered the fighters as their rage boiled over. Closing his eyes, Heihachi held his hands out, one over the other, and pulled them to his sides, electric ki overflowing from his body. Heihachi was done playing around.
The fight was about to reach the climax! The final round. Two men; terrible fathers, ruthless businessmen, and with a stubborn, egomaniacal refusal to stay dead, everything that they were would come to a head here. It was time to lay everything on the line. The Mishima and Howard began to circle each other, ferocious snarls and scowls made the two iron-fisted kings seem more like wolves than people. And for one of them, their fury would prove fatal.
(Cue Heat Haze Shadow - Tekken 7)
Like a bullet from a gun, they shot forth. Feet barely even touching the ground, they flew at the other father faster than ever before, lightning travelling with them as the storm grew ever stronger. Now with the collapse of the top floors, they now stood on the highest floor of Geese Tower, fully exposed to the elements. The pelting rain created puddles of water on the floor, the booming thunder was near deafening, and the billowing winds would’ve incapacitated an ordinary man. But these were not ordinary men. Far from it.
Feet sliding to a halt, they stomped on the ground before throwing their fists forward, the very air around them parting under their might as shockwaves from the collision rocked the structure upon which they stood. Lightning flashing through the sky, the men traded blows. A punch to the chest, a blocked strike to the arm, knuckle-to-knuckle clashing, they felt every last impact.
Coating his fists in chi, Geese met Heihachi blow for blow. Yet even with empowerment from Gaia, he was evenly matched. Holding his fists back, Geese struck Heihachi, breaking their stalemate. Lashing out with an elbow to the chest, Geese landed a hefty strike at Heihachi’s midsection. Not missing a beat, he struck Heihachi in the head, then back in the chest, pushing him further back with each strike. Opting for an alternate form of attack so as not to let Heihachi predict his movements, Geese kicked his torso, swiftly moving in for a gut punch that forced Heihachi to gasp for air.
Not giving any him a moment for rest, Geese continued, kicking at his legs with a low sweep, putting him in the perfect position for an uppercut to the chest. Spinning around, Geese charged his leg with electric chi, landing a leg strike to the head of the Mishima Zaibatsu, bringing down his hands for a lightning-infused palm strike. Heihachi successfully pushed back and enough room between them to charge up a final, devastating attack to end the combo, Geese overloaded his hands with chi, palms burning with red, flaming energy opposed to the cool blue hue they normally held.
Chi gathering between his palms, Geese thrust his hands forward before Heihachi could react, the gathered energy exploding outwards in a flash of fire and plasma. Gaia’s pure, unadulterated energy struck Heihachi full-on and it was agonising – the Deadly Rave serving its purpose to the fullest extent of its capabilities – which was causing as much pain as was possible. “You loser” Geese mocked coldly, pride in his abilities and power dripping from his tone. The flames burned at Heihachi’s skin and the energy sent waves coursing across his body, but he stood tall, albeit pushed back a fair distance. The technique clearly held astounding power, compounded with the brutal beating he endured just moments before.
Seeing Geese rush in to finish the job, Heihachi ducked under a straight punch thrown by his opponent, redirecting the fist and kicking Geese in the knees to knock him to the floor. His knee flying at Geese’s head, Heihachi successfully turned the fight back to a more even playing field, even if he had endured more damage during the Deadly Rave. The small rivers of blood which streamed from his body had started to stop, and the rain helped to cool him from Geese’s fiery blast. The wind adding to the feeling, Heihachi was quickly cooled from the heated attack. A shimmering heat haze covering Heihachi’s body, it was quickly dispelled with a flash of electricity across his limbs. His ki flaring up more potent than ever.
Running at Geese, Heihachi swiftly dodged scores of Reppukens sent his way. Sidestepping some and jumping over others, he made his advance. But he knew what Geese was expecting, as they’d been in this position before. Running up to him, Heihachi rolled behind the Howard Connection CEO as he put up his guard, now directly behind the man. Realising that his foe didn’t mean to attack him directly, Geese wasn’t properly able to evade Heihachi’s true attack. Grabbing him from behind in a bear-hug-like fashion, Heihachi lifted Geese up before slamming him down in an arcing manner behind him, utilising a German Suplex to switch up his tactics.
Crashing onto the ground on his back, Geese was surprised by the suplex. His fighting style was much different from wrestling, but there was a first time for everything, he supposed. Kicking his legs into the air, Geese uprighted himself with surprising flexibility, landing on his feet with little delay. Back aching from the suplex, Geese’s body worked overtime to pump adrenaline through his veins to block it out and keep him focused. The pain was still noticeable, but he could endure it. He still had an old man to put in the ground.
Heihachi rushing in, they clashed fists once more, the Mishima attempting to land a kick to his foe’s chest which was easily evaded. Bringing his fist up for an uppercut, Geese blocked the strike with both hands, pushing Heihachi’s downwards and jabbing him in the chest. Jumping into the air slightly, Geese landed a kick to Heihachi’s chin, knocking him back. Throwing himself into the thick of battle again, he threw his fist forwards with a punch which Heihachi narrowly blocked, giving the Zaibatsu CEO an opportunity to land two punches at him in return. In a flash, Heihachi landed the blows, a third, electrically-charged punch impacting against Geese’s chest, the signature Flash Punch Combo proving as reliable as ever.
Stepping forward, Heihachi’s lightning-infused fist crashed against Geese’s chest with the Electric Wind God Fist, sending him into the air. Without delay, Heihachi performed the move again upon his foe’s descent, this time ending with a backhand once gravity took hold and pulled him to the ground once more. Kneeing his foe in the torso before he could even register the lightning-fast combo, Heihachi performed a crouching elbow strike, guarding himself from harm whilst keeping up the pressure. Finishing with a kick to the head, Heihachi sent Geese sprawling across the ground, skin slicing across jagged rocks and giving the Howard Connection leader some new wounds which would undoubtedly become another set of scars to sport on his bruised body.
Bringing himself upwards, Geese coughed up crimson as he stood once more, holding a hand to his head. Rain washing away all the sweat and blood, Geese simply cleared the wet blood from above his eyes so as not to potentially hinder him in battle. His skull was ringing out in agony, but Geese couldn’t afford to focus on pain, only the opponent in front of him. Gazing out, Geese’s eyes only just barely recognised Heihachi’s fist coming directly at him in time to lean back, forcing Heihachi to impact with Geese’s shoulder instead of his face. Fist hitting the crime lord’s chest, Heihachi kept up his assault, striking him continually, feeling some ribs in Geese’s chest shatter under the impact. Leaning back for just a moment, Heihachi prepared the use of another reliable Electric Wind God Fist, but this moment of opportunity was all Geese needed.
Leaning back himself, Geese avoided Heihachi’s fist, electricity following the uppercut as Geese grabbed his arm. A haughty smirk crossing Geese’s face, Heihachi knew what was coming, and he was in no position to avoid it. “PREDICTABLE!” Geese shouted at the top of his lungs, screaming out into the stormy night sky as he began his Jōdan'ateminage. Lifting Heihachi up, he slammed him down onto the ground with insane force, seeing the air leave his foe as he hit the hard surface of Geese Tower’s current and ruined top floor. Bouncing up slightly, Geese rammed his fist covered in cobalt chi into Heihachi’s chest before sweeping his legs out from under him with his Fudōken Ba. Hitting the ground, the first thing Heihachi noticed is that while the ground was hard, he could feel a wet surface spreading across his back, clearly a puddle from the rain.
He was not alone in noticing this, as Geese saw this convenient fact as an opportunity. Lifting his hand into the air, it crackled with blue lightning, both electricity and chi gathering around the appendage. Slowly lifting himself off the ground, Heihachi sought to continue fighting, but Geese was more interested in ending it there. The energy in his palm reaching a crescendo, Geese announced to the skies, “Begone!”, bringing his hand down in Heihachi’s direction.
Rumbling thunder cracked through the night as Heihachi felt a shock go up his spine. He instinctively knew he needed to move, fast! Jumping to his feet and bounding backwards, Heihachi moved just in time to avoid the Thunder Break crashing through the clouds, striking the spot he was just laying in. Clearly, his foe wanted to use the water around them to his advantage with lightning. A devious tactic, but not one Heihachi could easily replicate. Yet the rumbling didn’t stop. In fact, it kept getting louder and louder, but Geese didn’t seem to be controlling it.
In truth, the natural storm that ravaged Geese Tower had intensified massively. Thunder, rain and lightning all crashed through the night with reckless abandon, uncaring who or what got in their way. A true force of nature. With the new exposed metal due to Geese’s Raging Storm collapsing the top floors of the building, the lightning was attracted to their spot like a lightning rod. Adding Geese and Heihachi’s penchant for electric-infused blows was just the icing on the cake which drew the heart of the storm to them.
Lightning painting the night sky an ephemeral navy, the men took a second to breathe. Were they not fighting to the death, the scenery would have made for a breathtaking sight, and though they were short of breath, it was due to the exertion placed upon their bodies. They were tired, they were weary, but above all else, they were unwavering in their desire to win. It was all that mattered. But it wasn’t always like this.
(Cue Numquam Vincar - Puella Magi Madoka Magica)
Once, they were men who cared deeply for their families. Who were driven by their loved ones and sought self-improvement, not domination. Now a time nearly beyond recollection, their past dreams and aspirations are like a bubble – popping, turning into nothingness. An explosion of liquid, as their lives slipped through their fingers as smoothly as the water that fell around them, turning them into something else. Someone set down a different, darker path.
Perhaps, under different circumstances, their lives could have been different, but there is no way to turn back time and change what has already happened. There is only the now. Forging a path with their iron fists, the men charged forward, hands outstretched. Clenching their hands into tight fists, they slipped past each other, each slamming their fist into their opponent’s face. Unflinching and unmoving, both men stood their ground and pushed against their foe, but neither gained an inch.
Hands sliding back simultaneously, they met again, right to left, and left to right. Opening up their fists into hands, they grabbed their opponent, clenching down their fingers, holding them in a position they each found suitable. Leaning back their heads, they threw them forward, colliding with a sickening headbutt. Empowered with chi and ki, they met, sending a shockwave across the area, each man refusing to budge. Lifting his foot up to stomp on Geese’s, Heihachi brought it down swiftly, breaking their hold in time to sock Geese in the gut fiercefully, electricity covering his body.
Landing another blow to the chest, and an upwards-striking punch, Heihachi charged his palms with lightning, striking Geese with his fully concluded Rage Art upon his descent back to earth. Flying back, Geese held his hand towards the ground right before he would’ve crashed, a blue orb of energy materialising and shooting forth, pushing Geese into the air and stabilising the CEO. Reversing his momentum, Geese landed safely on the ground, puddles of rain splashing under his feet. Seeing his path to Heihachi relatively clear, an idea began to formulate within Geese’s mind.
Holding a hand outward behind him, Geese let loose a Shippuken, sending him rocketing forwards. With the decreased friction and added slipperiness from the rain, Geese slid his way over to Heihachi in record time, now coated in a blazing red aura. Transitioning from the slide to an uppercut, Geese knocked Heihachi back, kicking him during his small flight into the air. Impacting with the wet ground followed by a squelching thud, Heihachi landed, but this wouldn’t be for long, as Geese swept his legs out at Heihachi for a low strike, twisting around to kick him in the head after he was forced back from the attack.
Jabbing at his torso twice, Geese’s red aura never dissipated, but instead was channelled, and his fury managed in order to set Heihachi up for this devastating move, “Now die!” Holding his right arm back, Geese reached forward and grabbed Heihachi, throwing him into the air. Opening his arms out wide, Geese drew them back together in a circular motion, culminating in his hands holding an azure sphere of potent energy by his side. Thrusting it forward right as Heihachi re-entered his line of sight, Geese shouted out, “RASHOMON!”. The ball blowing Heihachi back, it emitted black and white lightning upon impact, twisting and swirling, the sheer power of the attack forcing Heihachi to forcibly cough up copious amounts of blood, the attack damaging his chest and ribs significantly.
Sent careening from the Rashomon, Heihachi struggled to stand properly, leaning against a slab of stone for support in getting up. Though he was eventually able to, he could tell that he needed to make more of his hits count and prevent large-scales ones like this from happening again. Holding a hand to his chest, the very touch was painful, a clear indication of the technique’s potency. Pulling it away, Heihachi pulled himself to his feet once more, locking eyes with the cause of his current condition, who smugly smirked. Running a hand through his wet, blond hair, Geese pushed it back, never keeping his eyes off Heihachi. He’d proven to be a stubborn one, and tenacious at that.
Both men felt their respective life energies flow through them. Heihachi’s ki surging with electricity, and Geese’s a wave of blue chi that surrounded him. Booming thunder shook Geese Tower as lightning struck around the two, creating a fitting atmosphere for their battle. The rain continued to pour, only increasing in intensity as the battle drew on, soaking the battlefield. Throwing his hands upwards, Geese launched a series of Reppukens along the ground to Heihachi, who evaded in the nick of time by sidestepping the projectiles.
Knowing that if either of them had a second’s delay that the adrenaline would slow down and they’d feel the full force of the punishment they endured, both carried on, breaking out into a sprint forwards. Jumping into the air, Heihachi kicked both of his feet out, performing a drop kick on the Howard Connection CEO. Raising his arms in time to guard himself from the unorthodox attack, Geese was pushed back, the full weight of Heihachi’s body being put into the kick. Reaching out to grab Heihachi’s leg, Geese attempted to separate the two, but Heihachi quickly caught on, and kicked Geese’s forehead with the other leg, knocking him back.
Landing on the ground with a roll, Heihachi sprung up with a Dragon Uppercut, impacting with Geese’s chin and sending him sprawling onto the ground. Knowing that he may never get this opportunity to capitalise on again, Heihachi moved over to Geese, his hand latching onto his throat as he lifted him up with his absurd strength. Staring the other man dead in the eyes, Heihachi merely smirked as he walked closer and closer to the edge of the building, briefly gazing down at South Town below. Although facing away from the ledge, Geese could see the opposite side of the building grow further and further away, and the knowledge filled him with dread. He knew what was coming.
Deeming the height at which they were in relation to the ground appropriate, Heihachi stared Geese in the eyes as he spoke one last line, “A fight is about who’s left standing…” Gripping his throat even more intensely, Heihachi threw Geese from the top of his tower with an electrically-charged Broken Toy throw, sending him falling to the streets below. “Nothing else” he finished, as he moved away from the ledge, taking a moment to breathe in the downpour of the storm. The intense fight finally over, Heihachi just rested, slumping against a stone slab as he caught his breath.
But the fight wasn’t over! As soon as Heihachi let Geese go, his body drew as much of Gaia’s energy into himself as he could, overflowing with more energy than he’d ever gathered before. Twisting around as he did so, Geese saw the ground fast approaching, and opened his hands up wide, gigantic spheres of energy practically exploding from both of them as they pulsed with the life force of the Earth itself. Refusing to give in, Geese did the only thing he could, and screamed out at the top of his lungs, “DOUPLE SHIPPUKEN!”.
Moments away from hitting the ground, the power gathered in Geese’s hands exploded like never before, colliding with the ground before he could, and launching him upwards with the speed of a rocket! He was not dead, and he would never give in! Crowds of people had gathered at the base of Geese Tower following the giant explosion courtesy of his Raging Storm, including the inhabitants of the tower itself and the residents of South Town. Braving the storm to witness what was happening in the building, seeing Geese fall from the top was a shock.
Clearing away, they moved just in time for Geese’s Double Shippuken to send him rocketing back up to the top of his tower, saving himself from harm. Ascending the top of the tower as he rose, Geese saw the ruined, broken mess his ornate building once was, and anger rose within him as he flew upward. Nearly reaching the apex of the building, Geese felt lightning gather in his palms, his fury boiling over, and he reached the top, blasting back up to Heihachi’s location in record time. Furiously, Geese held his hands above his head as he fell, gravity taking hold.
Glancing up, Heihachi was frozen in shock! Geese had survived and was right back here, ready to continue the fight. Screaming at the Zaibatsu CEO, Geese prepared to bring his hands down upon him assisted by gravity as lightning struck down around them, “YOU CANNOT ESCAPE FROM DEATH!”. Energy gathered in his palms assisted by his unique application of the Thunder Break and time seemed to slow as Geese descended, bringing a storm with him, crashing down onto the unprepared Heihachi and slamming him down through several floors of the building, rain and lightning following them as they smashed through wood, stone and other architecture.
Crashing through multiple floors, Geese and Heihachi found themselves in yet another battlefield as lightning struck the building, almost as if attracted to the combat that was raging within. Head bashed against rock and body crushed under wood, Heihachi felt as though his blood itself was pure adrenaline, coursing through his veins and keeping him going. Spitting out dark crimson blood, Heihachi’s eyes widened, his touch heightened and he became more aware. Everything felt more surreal and agonisingly painful, like a man near Death’s door. Slamming an iron fist down, Heihachi roared in defiance. No! Not like this! He wouldn’t fall now – he couldn’t!
Landing down next to Heihachi, Geese peered down at his fallen foe, bleeding and scarred on the ground, struggling to get up, to continue. “Pathetic. The ‘mighty’ Heihachi Mishima is nothing more than a grovelling worm beneath my feet. It’s as I said, the world is too big for you to control. You haven’t the right” Geese openly mocked, only fuelling Heihachi’s hatred and rage. “But I do. Here, the truly mighty rule! If this is the extent of your capabilities, then you can just die!” Geese declared, lifting a foot up to bring it down on Heihachi’s head, aiming to crush him like the ant he was on Geese’s path to world domination.
Slamming his foot down, Geese was met with sudden resistance, and of all things, laughter. Coughing and sputtering, Heihachi had caught Geese’s foot before it could reach his head, holding it in an iron grip. Chuckling, Heihachi returned Geese’s line directly at him, turning the tables. “Predictable.” Clenching his fist, Heihachi shattered the bones in Geese’s foot, causing him to cry out in pain. Not even the adrenaline pumping through his veins could stop him from feeling the agony he was currently enduring. Sweeping Geese off his feet, Heihachi rose himself, powering through the pain he felt to lift Geese up and slam him down. Over and over, Heihachi brought him down, face-first into the hard surface of his tower, held up by his ankle.
(Cue Enfin Apparu - Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic)
“You goddamn bastard! You have the gall to-“ Geese’s declaration was cut short by Heihachi slamming his fist into the Howard’s face, shutting him up. “Foolish whelp! Your delusions of grandeur end here!” lifting Geese up, Heihachi struck him in the stomach with a hefty punch followed by two succeeding blows to the chest, body shimmering with electric blue lightning that shocked Geese with each attack. Bringing Geese in close, Heihachi slammed his head down on him with all the force he could muster, the headbutt forcing Geese to bounce off the ground with the impressive power it held. Moving his arms in a circular manner, Heihachi built up more electricity as he shoved Geese back with a powerful double palm strike, his final Rage Art completed.
His body overflowing with electric ki, Heihachi raced up to Geese who was lying flat on the floor from the previous attack. Raising his arm up high, Geese called down a Thunder Break to him, seeking to cut Heihachi off from this avenue to attack. Yet the Zaibatsu CEO merely altered his course, only buying Geese a few seconds. But those seconds were not wasted, as Geese put up his arms in time to avoid having his face smashed by Heihachi’s iron-like fists. Blocking as if boxing, Geese put his arms up in front of his face and Heihachi slammed into them with wild force, the strength maddening to Geese. How did he still have this much left in him? After everything, this man still kept going. It was infuriatingly annoying.
Persistent, Heihachi didn’t let up. His fists shining with electricity, he kept whaling on Geese, over and over he punched those arms, determined to shatter his guard. And eventually, he did. Repeated strikes doing their utmost, Heihachi brought his hands down onto Geese’s arms and he felt the bones within begin to shatter. Holding his arms up high, one final strike did the trick, and Geese screamed out in anguish, his arms broken. Recoiling, Geese tried to move away, but Heihachi gave him to such respite, keeping up the pressure by capitalising on this opening.
Geese’s face now vulnerable, Heihachi made the most of this opportunity. With one fluid punch, he shattered Geese’s nose, splattering crimson liquid over Geese’s face as it was swiftly washed off by the rain still pouring into the building, more intense than ever. Screaming with an ear-piercing volume, Geese raged against Heihachi, but was met at every turn. He had no solid way out. And so he did the only thing he could. As Heihachi whaled on his face, Geese called down a lightning bolt directly on top of him, electrocuting both him and Heihachi in an attempt to move the Zaibatsu leader away from him.
The bolt crashing through the building, the pain it inflicted on both of them was nigh indescribable. Their only response being roars of agony and pain, the men separated, pushing each other away. Bodies still steaming from the lightning, they let off the electrical energy they had built up, letting the sparks fly to the sky. Panting, pure adrenaline and indominable willpower were the only things keeping them going at this point, but the battle was going to end now, they could feel it!
Rising, Heihachi made it to his feet as he looked at his opponent struggling to do the same. Foot broken and arms in a worse condition, Geese was barely in any position to continue fighting, but there was no other option. Eventually making it to his feet, he pushed through the agonising pain and brought in all the chi he could from the area, covering his limbs and strengthening them. Able to move and act with much less pain, Geese knew had very few options left, but he would use every last one. He would win at any cost.
Walking towards their opponent, both men glared at the other; their faces showing nothing but hatred and contempt. Breaking into a run, their fists clashed and lightning escaped from the collision. The sheer power creating a shockwave, it tore through the current floor of the building, shattering the foundations and dropping the fighters down a level, to the next floor. Bracing themselves for landing, the men jumped right into the fray once more, fists clashing as they fought. Again and again, they’d meet knuckle-to-knuckle, chi and ki meeting and blowing each other back. Their powers stalemated each other. That is, before Heihachi slipped by Geese, ducking under his punch with a smirk as his fist impacted with Geese’s cheek, forcing him to spit out dark maroon blood.
In Geese’s mind, he saw his mother dying of sickness, and his inability to help. It infuriated him. No matter what he did, he couldn’t save her. She passed, leaving him alone and fuelled by hatred and anger. Not at her, but at his father for leaving them in poverty, and at himself for not being there for her. All of this flashed before his eyes in a split second as he reeled back from the blow. His painful memories fuelling his rage, Geese struck back at Heihachi, landing a sickening blow to his cranium.
Similarly, Heihachi saw images of Kazumi fly past in an instant. Their happiest days turned to dust in the wake of her assassination attempt. The sadness, the betrayal, he felt it all, and it tore him up inside. Even worse was what that meant for Kazuya… their beloved son. Was he a devil as well? Heihachi would find that answer later, but the memories of that time drove him forwards now into battle, returning the blow back to Geese.
With a punch, Geese saw Krauser slashing at him with a knife. He saw Tung Fu Rue refuse to teach him the secrets of Hyakkokuseiken. He saw Jeff Bogard’s dead body. He saw his wife, Marie. He saw his son, Rock. He saw that bastard, Terry Bogard. He saw it all, and he pushed forwards, striking Heihachi dead-on.
With a punch, Heihachi saw his son drop off that fateful cliff. He saw himself falling off that very same cliff, years later. He saw the King of Iron Fist Tournaments throughout the decades. He saw his father, Jinpachi. He saw his grandson, Jin. He saw his son, Kazuya. He saw it all, and he pushed forwards, striking Geese dead-on.
They punched each other. Over and over, their fists met, bloodied and bruised, they kept going, not giving in for even a second. For giving in meant certain death. And now, all they saw was each other. Their faces wet with blood, sweat and rain, the first to falter would face their demise. And so they kept at it, punching and striking until they could no longer feel their fists. One final collision between the two pushed them back, huffing and puffing from the exertion.
With distance between then, Geese raised his arms skyward, gathering any and all chi from Gaia into his palms, converting the energy from a cool blue into a violent, burning red. Screaming out, Geese prepared to use one last technique “RAGING…” crimson energy swirled around the two, and Heihachi knew what was coming. The building had barely survived one attack, it wouldn’t be able to handle another one. There was no time to think, just to act! Racing in, Heihachi threw his fist forward, just barely shy of Geese’s body as he concluded called out his move. “STOOOOOOOOOORM!”.
Geese brought his hands down and their entire world shook. Blood-red spikes of energy erupted from the ground, preventing Heihachi from advancing, and the city of South Town itself shook under Geese’s might. Geese Tower began to crumble, falling to pieces around them as the Raging Storm took hold. The storm above them intensified to an unnatural degree, shooting lightning everywhere. Every last bolt of lightning and drop of rain assaulted the building in what would look like a divine act of God himself. The storm rocking the building, thunder and lightning crashed, the deafening sounds doing nothing to dissuade Heihachi from his path. The burning haze of battle pulsing through Heihachi’s entire being and the fiery scorch of Geese’s attack only stoking Heihachi’s will. Like blazing fire, it could not be extinguished until it dominated everything in its path.
Despite the booming thunder, the pouring rain, the electrifying lightning, the crumbling building and the crimson might of Geese’s Raging Storm, Heihachi raged against it, pushing his fist further. Roaring out in pain and determination, Heihachi pushed his body beyond any and all limits he had before. Body shining in an ephemeral light from the electricity that teemed from the surface of his very being, Heihachi kept pushing. Further and further, harder and harder, he kept going. The Raging Storm pushed back, the blood-red energy ripping apart the skin on his hand, but Heihachi pushed through. With one final scream, Heihachi Mishima had shattered the Raging Storm, the power of the Earth itself, with his might. The spikes of energy dissipating, Geese could only look on in terror.
“IMPOSSIBLE!” He screamed out in fear, Heihachi’s absurd feat of strength never being accomplished by any man to live. “Now you’re catching on” Heihachi responded, chuckling. Reaching out, he grasped Geese by the throat, gripping him tighter and tighter, cutting off his airways. With the last of his breath, Geese could only say one thing, “You’re… you’re not human! What kind of devil are you?!” Heihachi had but one response. “I am no devil. Simply a man. A man who would conquer this world”.
Staring Geese directly in his eyes, almost as if looking into his very soul, Heihachi had one final thing to say to his opponent, “You said that only the truly mighty can rule. For only the mightiest are worthy” Heihachi tightened his grip even further. “A fight isn’t about who the mightiest is. A fight is about who’s left standing. Nothing else.” With that final line, Heihachi clenched his fist, snapping Geese Howard’s neck.
The light beginning to leave Geese’s eyes, his entire life flashed before him. Every trial, every mistake, every action he had ever taken, it all lead up to this moment. And it ended with Heihachi Mishima. Having watched his opponent’s eyes dimming and finally closing as he reached his eternal rest, Heihachi loosened his grip on Geese’s neck, watching him fall to the floor, lifeless. His broken and scarred body falling limp, he wouldn’t be recovering from this. The battle over, Heihachi breathed a deep breath of relief, staring off into the distance, watching the raging storm finally clear.
K.O.!
Conclusion[]
(Cue Heihachi Mishima - Tekken 3)
Boomstick: Holy hell, Wiz! That got so intense!
Wiz: First off, there was a lot going on with this battle. Both were equally ruthless, and have fought their way to the top, attaining a position above all others. Geese has the advantage in range and area-of-effect attacks, plus his defensive fighting style counters Heihachi’s style of pure aggression. He also had more martial arts to draw from, while Heihachi just had the one. But that’s about where Geese’s advantages end.
Boomstick: Yeah, I mean, Geese is known for being thrown off of high places, and Heihachi’s thing is throwing people off, and surviving being thrown from high places all the time! It’s pretty much a family tradition at this point. Both were pretty comparable in terms of training, but Heihachi has decades more experience over Geese, having trained since childhood and kept it up well into his seventies.
Popup: Geese has impressive stamina, but it’s unlikely that he could fight Heihachi until he tired out before being killed himself. Heihachi has defeated foes like Nina and Anna Williams, who could fight for over 72 hours straight, in mere minutes, so Heihachi overtaxing Geese with his skill and power is far more likely a scenario.
Wiz: And while Geese does know three traditional martial arts alongside Hyakkokuseiken, he never completed his training, nor passed it on. Heihachi may only know one, but he’s the undisputed grandmaster of it. And through his decades of experience, Heihachi has fought plenty of people with fighting styles similar to Geese, like Nina Williams, who is a master in Aikido. Geese didn’t have anything Heihachi hadn’t seen before.
Boomstick: This is a guy who has been fighting demons, monsters and martial arts masters from across the globe for over 40 years; Heihachi’s seen it all. And though Geese’s pool of chi techniques were near-inexhaustible, he could only keep his distance for so long against someone like Heihachi, who has fought projectile spammers like Kazuya, whose lasers are fast enough to reach outer space in seconds! He’d have no issue getting in close.
Wiz: A large part of Heihachi’s character is adapting against treacherous situations and prevailing. He didn’t just knock Kazuya out of his True Devil Form on a fluke. He’s fought through numerous adversities that no normal man could survive and comes out on top time and time again. He’s been directly stated to be a man with the strength of a devil, so he’s clearly not your run-of-the-mill business tycoon.
Popup: Geese could continually draw chi from the Earth for a theoretically unlimited source of power, but it cannot be said that the buffs to his physicality would allow him to surpass Heihachi’s already greater strength and durability.
Boomstick: And his accomplishments are overall much greater. Geese battled having his soul slowly deteriorate after taking in Verse’s powers, but Heihachi survived Akuma’s Raging Demon, which destroys the soul entirely. Geese took over South Town with the Howard Connection, but Heihachi turned a non-profiting business into a worldwide arms manufacturer with enough resources to function as an independent nation. Geese survived a fall from his tower, but Heihachi survived several JACK-4 units self-destructing directly on top of him, collapsing Hon-Maru temple. You can see where I’m going with this.
Wiz: And when it comes to direct feats, Heihachi holds the advantage there yet again. Takuma reacting to the Zero Cannon’s 2% speed of light laser beam is impressive, but the mass-produced and expendable JACK units have reacted to beams over 4% the speed of light. Both are clearly stronger and faster than fighters such as these, but while Geese is physically superior to Takuma, there isn’t as large a gap between them in comparison to Heihachi and the JACK units. He tears through hordes of stronger and faster models than these on the daily, so it’s clear that Heihachi had the higher limits to push.
Boomstick: And when it comes to power, Heihachi takes the lead rather solidly. Both are comparable to their city-busting lasers, but while the Zero Cannon has more power than the Zaibatsu satellite laser, Kazuya surviving the 160 Megaton volcano eruption blew it out of the water. And he was half-dead at the time! Imagine how much stronger he got in the years afterward.
Popup: In the movie Tekken: Blood Vengeance, Kazuya stated that the Devil Gene increases the user’s physical capabilities 10 times over. Since Tekken’s strongest feats can be applied to Kazuya in his base form, and Heihachi was able to defeat True Devil Kazuya, an even stronger form, it’s likely that all feats mentioned for Heihachi could be multiplied by 10 and would be viable scaling.
Wiz: But to truly grasp the upper limits of their strength, let’s take a look at Verse and the JACK unit which busted that meteor. With the souls of fighters across the King of Fighters history, Verse was able to create a storm worth just under 1.9 Gigatons of TNT. Impressive, but when compared to that meteor bust, which was over 7.7 Gigatons of TNT, it falls short. Sure, Geese was able to defeat Verse in two moves, but Heihachi tears through stronger units than these with complete ease.
Boomstick: But hold on, what about Orochi? Didn’t Verse have his soul as well? And he’s the strongest character in the series! Shouldn’t Geese scale to him since he put the hurt on Verse?
Wiz: Well, not exactly. Verse didn’t take Orochi’s soul, but his seal. The only thing that scales to him is the Three Sacred Treasures. No, not the team, but the actual powers themselves. Ash Crimson has stolen the flames before and used them for his own purposes, showing that they are a separate entity that can be taken away from Kyo and Iori. Orochi is far above the entire King of Fighters cast as established by the game and auxiliary media testimonies.
Popup: Both Tekken and King of Fighters feature several vague statements about causing the end of the world or wiping out humanity, but these cannot be accurately measured as feats within themselves. For example, the Zero Cannon bringing the ‘light of a new world’ refers to NESTS’ plan of world domination, and Azazel’s awakening bringing the ‘end of humanity’ only occurs because of Jin starting World War III.
Boomstick: And the Three Sacred Treasures are a means to seal Orochi, not so much kill him. After Verse was destroyed, Orochi was released in a severely weakened state, and Kyo, Iori, and Chizuru wasted no time whatsoever in putting him six feet under. And in alternate endings for King of Fighters 97’, Orochi isn’t even defeated, he just sorta gives up and leaves. He’s impressed by the fighter’s tenacity towards survival, and he states that he’ll return in another one hundred years to rejudge humanity. That’s it. There’s no conclusion to Orochi’s awakening besides with the Sacred Treasures team.
Wiz: And in the Sacred Treasures ending, Orochi Iori clearly catches Orochi off guard just long enough for all three of them to team up and seal him for good. Really, Orochi was toying with them and his hubris got the best of him. Geese was studying how to obtain Orochi’s power but never made any headway. Maybe he will in the future, maybe not. But as of now, no one fully scales to Orochi physically.
Boomstick: But Orochi’s Four Heavenly Kings is a different story. Since Verse had the souls and powers of Shermie, Yashiro, Chris, and Goenitz, and Geese could clap him pretty easily, it’s fair to say that he should be comparable. We know that Shermie could create storms worth up to 32 Megatons of TNT, but Yashiro could melt a ton of rocks and make lava in his stage, which would require around 5.8 Gigatons. Impressive, but still lower than Heihachi’s best.
Popup: Geese’s ability to absorb, manipulate, and catalyse chi from Gaia is fundamentally different from Heihachi’s use of ki. Geese uses an external source of energy from the planet itself to power his attacks and enhance his physicality, while Heihachi’s ki is an internal source of power completely generated and sustained by himself alone. There is no reason to suggest Geese could absorb Heihachi’s ki.
Wiz: And Heihachi has fought opponents who have performed similar feats, but at a much greater level, such as his father, Jinpachi, whose storm measures up to 45 Gigatons of TNT at a minimum. Far greater than anything Verse or Orochi’s Four Heavenly Kings could perform. Overall, Heihachi’s strength eclipsed Geese’s by a fair margin, and he was around twice as fast. He had a lead in physicality down-pat.
Boomstick: And both are arrogant bastards, yeah, but Heihachi is smart enough to play around with that arrogance so that it can aid him in battle. When Geese is caught by surprise, he’s thrown off a skyscraper, but when Heihachi is caught off-guard, he tanks a brutal beating and gives one just as savage right back at the unlucky bastard who thought to attack him.
Wiz: But at the core of their characters, Geese is a man who rose up from the depths of despair, driven by the loss of his loved ones to acquire power unlike any other. Eventually, Geese reached that which he sought, but he grew complacent and content with his life at the top. He was blinded by ambition and consumed by vengeance. He saw power as the ultimate force in the world, and yet when he had it all, that’s when it was fatally stripped away from him.
Popup: Heihachi is a far more adaptable fighter, and frequently uses the environment to his advantage during combat. No matter the location, Heihachi would be able to make better use of his surroundings to gain an advantage than Geese would. Even looking at the fight in a void, Heihachi sometimes carries a gun, while Geese does not have any equipment he could use. To say that his belt or necklace could be used to choke Heihachi out is a stretch at best.
Boomstick: But Heihachi has done all that and learned from it. He’s been betrayed over and over, always growing stronger and smarter from each experience. He never settled, always reaching for more, but never blinded by ambition, nor consumed by vengeance. And when everything he has is taken away from him, he fights tooth and nail to get it all back, and he succeeds.
Wiz: Both went out on their own terms, but Heihachi fought his demons until the bitter end. A man who surpassed even devils and never gave up through it all, only finally falling once his body literally could not go on. Both Geese and Heihachi lived by a code of dominance and power, but in this fight, only the mightiest could be left standing.
Boomstick: In the end, Heihachi had the power, speed, experience, and sheer unrelenting stubbornness that allowed him to walk away the victor. Geese was clever and ruthless, but he ultimately met his Mishi-match!
Wiz: The winner is Heihachi Mishima.
