Description[]
Warner Bros. vs Cartoon Network! Which of these teenage magicians with nothing but goodness and heroism in their heart will win in a magical battle to the end?
Interlude[]
Wiz: Fantasy. It's a widely popular genre of media, wizards and witches are generally regarded highly, but only some are truly held above the rest.
Boomstick: Like Harry Potter, the destroyer of ultimate evil and Boy Who Lived!
Wiz: And Gwen Tennyson, the mana fuelled Anodite fighting alongside Ben 10.
Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!
Wiz: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armour and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.
Harry Potter[]
Wiz: Halloween, 1981...James and Lily Potter were taking care of their baby, when out of nowhere, tragedy struck. Lord Voldemort, one of the most dangerous wizards in the world had found them, and he was trying to kill their baby. This baby's name was Harry Potter.
Boomstick: Refusing to give Harry up, James and Lily were murdered, but when Voldemort turned his wand to Harry and fired the Killing Curse, it rebounded and struck him. Yes, somehow, a baby defeated the most powerful dark wizards in history.
Wiz: From then on, Harry Potter was known as an orphan...and the chosen one. See, a prophecy had said that someone born at the end of July would grow up to kill Voldemort, so he tried to end it quickly.
Boomstick: But instead he inadvertently made Harry his own downfall. His parents with their sacrifice, had protected Harry from Voldemort, eventually defeating him.
Wiz: But let's go back. On Harry's 11th birthday, a half-giant known as Hagrid had found Harry and informed him of his past and his future. He was a wizard and would learn magic at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Boomstick: So instead of training to defeat Voldemort, he played Quidditch while learning things like...making feathers go up.
Wiz: Boomstick. Hogwarts taught him all he needed to be able to defeat Voldemort once and for all.
Boomstick: Whatever. But he needed a wand to do that. Harry's wand is 11 inches long and is made of holly wood with a phoenix feather core. He is quick draw with his wand and has used it on many occasions.
Wiz: The wand is brother to Voldemort's meaning they have a core from the same animal, which is coincidentally Dumbledore's phoenix, Fawkes and that if they're forced to duel, a special sort of magic will occur, Priori Incantatum, which involves a beam struggle.
Boomstick: Beam struggle? Are we sure he's not an anime protagonist?
Wiz: *sigh* Anyway, throughout his six years at Hogwarts-
Boomstick: Six?
Wiz: Yes, he dropped out of Hogwarts before Year 7. But anyway, throughout his time at Hogwarts, Harry has learned a number of both offensive and defensive spells. His trademark spell is the Disarming Charm, Expelliarmus.
Boomstick: Which can either throw a weapon towards him or throw someone through the air, it's always inconsistent. Hell, in some of the games, it creates a shield!
Wiz: Game spells will be taken into account unless it's directly conflicted with the books and movies. Speaking of Harry Potter game spells, the Flipendo spell throws an opponent through the air and can be amplified with Duo and Tria versions of the spell.
Boomstick: Carpe Retractum creates a light rope that Harry can use to bring something closer to him or, if it doesn't move, allow him to swing like Indiana Jones!
Wiz: The Ventus charm creates a large gust of wind that can throw people through the air. Charms are really Harry's specialty. With the Levitation Charm, Wingardium Leviosa-
Boomstick: Remember, it's Levi-o-sa, not Levio-saa!
Wiz: Ugh, yes. Anyway, the Levitation Charm can lift up any number of inanimate objects. All spells require a line of eye contact and hand movement to perform. The Levitation Charm is no exception. Swish and Flick.
Boomstick: Harry has charms that throw him up in the air, slow his falls, charms that throw objects away from him, Accio can bring things towards him, Bombarda can create large explosions, charms that confuse opponents -Confundo- and two charms that can create fire and water, Incendio and Auguamenti, respectively.
Wiz: Some charms can seem harmless but actually are extremely dangerous. Like Reducto, a spell that can turn anything to dust, Diffindo, something that can slash opponents, spells that turn things to ice, Glacius, and spells that can erase memories and Stupefy can render an opponent unconscious.
Boomstick: But there's more to Harry's arsenal than just charms! There are other defensive spells that can freeze or slow opponents in place -Impedimenta-, some, like Protego, can even create shields that can defend against almost anything! Holy hell, what can't this wand do?
Wiz: Well, create food from thin air and presumably money too-
Boomstick: oh, I don't care. These are all pretty pansy spells lets get to the lethal spells! Like that spell that makes people turn to stone! What was it called? oh, yeah. Duro!
Wiz: If you insist. Harry also has a number of extreme curses that can quickly end a duel. Confringo and Expulso create large explosions of fire and pressure, respectively. Imperio can control minds and get people to do what you want. Crucio is a spell that tortures opponents, described as: "one thousand white-hot knives, boring into the skin".
Boomstick: Whoo! Awesome! Sectumsempra is a spell that Harry is especially experienced in, slashing the opponent with invisible swords in the way the caster waves their wand. If you want to kill people painfully, this is the way to do it!
Wiz: But there is one spell that many dare not cast. The one that left Harry Potter an orphan...This is the Killing Curse, Avada Kedavra.
Boomstick: Here we go!
Wiz: Avada Kedavra cannot be blocked by magical means and if hit, causes instantaneous, painless death. It can be blocked by physical means, such as hitting a statue, but Protego and other spells cannot block it.
Boomstick: Awesome. Why doesn't Harry do that?
Wiz: Well, probably because it causes a lifetime in the wizard jail, Azkaban, although it is implied that Harry can use it.
Boomstick: How?
(Voldemort: She killed Sirius...She deserves it...You know the spell, Harry...)
Boomstick: Oh.
Wiz: If you want to get even more broken, Harry can teleport.
Boomstick: Wait, what?!
Wiz: Yes, with Apparition, Harry can utilize short and long distance teleportation, although this does require some form of concentration to avoid splinching-
Boomstick: Flinching? Well, that's not too bad.
Wiz: No, splinching, when you teleport incorrectly and accidently leave a bit of you behind.
Boomstick: Eeeeew! That's disgusting! Wish I could wipe that from my memory, forever.
Wiz: Heh, speaking of memory, Harry can also use Occlumency to defend against all mental attacks. While he isn't an expert, he is adequate in the skill.
Boomstick: He's even able to...eventually defend his mind from Severus Snape and Lord Voldemort themselves, some of the most skilled Legilimens in the world. Oh, 'adequate', huh? Riiiiight.
Wiz: With his mental protection, Harry is also able to resist mind-control, able to resist Imperius Curses from Lord Voldemort and Barty Crouch Jr. with relative ease. Although it is worth noting that Harry often unconventionally uses a fond memory as a shield against these mental attacks.
Boomstick: What else can he do? Blow up planets with his mind? I wouldn't even be surprised.
Wiz: Let's not get too ahead of ourselves. Spells are not the only thing in Harry's arsenal. Gifted to him by his late godfather, Sirius Black, the Firebolt Broomstick is one of the best in the world. It goes from 0-150 miles per hour in 10 seconds and has an Unbreakable Braking Charm. Harry is exceptional with his broom, able to outmanoeuvre dragons and Death Eaters with it.
Boomstick: And he can always have it beside him with his special summoning charm: Accio Firebolt, which can bring it to his side in a short amount of time.
Wiz: The Cloak of Invisibility is the third Deathly Hallow, a mysterious cloak that renders the wearer completely invisible. The cloak cannot be summoned by magical means.
Boomstick: It literally only alerts people to his location if he accidently makes a noise or pokes his foot out like an idiot. Seriously, you can teleport! Don't risk making noise by walking around!
Wiz: Well, Apparition does make a large crack noise when teleporting and it does require-
Boomstick: Shut up! Look what I got!
(We cut to Wiz and Boomstick, who's holding Harry's wand.)
Wiz: Where did you get that?
Boomstick: Bought it. Now, let's see. Uh...Expulso?
(The spell creates a large explosion, which causes both hosts to scream)
Boomstick: Uh-oh...
Wiz: Ugh. Anyway.
(Back to normal)
Wiz: Despite what it may seem, Harry is physically much more than human. He's survived being stabbed with a Basilisk Fang, walked off being thrown through brick walls and stone and he was able to survive an attack from a dragon, who was able to casually shatter stone.
Boomstick: He's strong enough to knock a bludger away with one swing when he was 11 years old and was able to match and even overpower Lord Voldemort himself while he was 14, the same guy who could destroy Hogwarts' shield with one spell in the Deathly Hallows and destroy the Atrium in the Ministry of Magic.
Wiz: While it's unwise and quite questionable to directly scale Harry to Voldemort, it is important to note that he could overpower him, even if it did tax him of all his energy.
Boomstick: Harry has defeated way more experienced witches and wizards, like no-nose himself, Antonin Dolohov, Lucius Malfoy and giants.
Wiz: He's escaped a number of dangerous situations. He escaped from a nest of giant spiders, escaped the Chamber of Secrets after killing the Basilisk and managed to escape the graveyard where Lord Voldemort himself came back to life.
Boomstick: Harry was once hit in the back of the head by a Bludger, a ten inch long ball of iron and was completely fine! Like, what? Awesome.
Wiz: But with his spells, Harry is a sight to behold. One of his spells, Confringo, was once used to blow up a street, killing 12 people at once. Defodio, a cutting spell, could slice right through metal, Episkey, the healing spell, was able to mend bones and some spells are able to blast holes in stone columns. Deprimo could blast apart a floor of a house and Diffindo could slice through ice.
Boomstick: Damn! Harry's pretty cool...buuut he's not the best. He is a normal human and could be put down, if someone could get past his spells. Pretty lame.
Wiz: All magic requires a line of sight and eye contact to perform and some form of focus. Harry is also dependant on his wand. If it's broken or impaired in some way, Harry will be severely handicapped.
Boomstick: And he has glasses. So that speaks for itself.
Wiz: But even with all that, if you're a Death Eater, you should look out when the Boy Who Lived comes your way.
(Harry Potter: It's your one last chance… Be a man… try… Try for some remorse…)
Gwen Tennyson[]
Wiz: Ben Tennyson is the acclaimed hero of the universe. His Grandpa? A intergalactic law enforcer with a bunch of weapons and gadgets to take the alien monsters down. But for Gwen Tennyson, to stand out meant she had to be unique, different.
Boomstick: And what did that mean? Super cool magic and mana attacks! Oh, and some martial arts with a side of being the smart one.
Wiz: Initially, Gwen was relegated to the info guy. You know, the one that always gathers information on foes, tells the heroes and then just watches as the heroes do the work.
Boomstick: But eventually, she grew into a powerful and reliable hero by the time she was 15. Oh, she also hated her cousin.
Wiz: Well, no...She just had an intense rivalry with Ben - Anyway, after almost a series without having any special abilities, Gwen stumbled across a book of charms from someone affectionately named...Charmcaster.
Boomstick: Really? What a dumb name.
Wiz: Well, I imagine she came up with it herself...
Boomstick: Blah blah blah. With the book, Gwen has access to a number of different spells and enchantments. Hoo boy, strap yourselves in. She has spells like Appendage-A-I'm-not-even-going-to-attempt-to-say-that.
Wiz: Appendage-A Regoria, a spell that can paralyse a target and keep them levitated in the air. With Camouphlat Vaporis, she generates a lot of steam to be used as cover. With Declam Baccura, she can move things with her mind.
Boomstick: She can use spells that let her manipulate the air around her, creating whirlwinds and tornadoes with ease. She can make powerful energy beams shoot out from her hands and spells that can blow up objects and make the debris attack targets. Awesome.
Wiz: With Vortess Nebulae she can create a shield that can deflect projectiles, with Corona-
Boomstick: HA! Uh...wash your hands, kids.
Wiz: *annoyed* -she can make a plateof mana and slam it over someone...
Boomstick: With Discombobulus Negatum, she can completely remove people's powers for a short time, Aquata Risa Spackwata can make waterspouts that lift someone into the air and Portallus Projectum can-WOAH!.
(Boomstick teleports above Wiz and lands on him, knocking them both to the floor.)
Boomstick: cause...Gwen to...teleport...
Wiz: Ugh...
(They stand up)
Wiz: Moving on. While these spells were only used in the Original Series. Between the age of 10 and 16, she learned a whole slue of other spells. Spells like Adfishio Potentia, which can shoot multiple beams of mana from Gwen's hands.
Boomstick: Uh, Wiz?
Wiz: Yes?
Boomstick: What the hell is mana?
Wiz: Well, I'm glad you asked. Mana is a supernatural substance, essential to all magic and life on Earth. Mana is pure energy and can be manipulated into anything the user likes, but for now, let's get back to the spells.
Boomstick: Fine. With Incendia Absum, she can douse any fire, even one from a Heatblast!
Wiz: And keep in mind, aliens like Heatblast can evaporate giant water monsters, a feat which would require 562 tons of TNT.
Boomstick: Damn! She even has spells that can magnify gravity, slow you down, summon a bolt of lightning or even put you to sleep instantly! What can't she do?
Wiz: Who knows? Especially since with a special incantation, she can travel backwards through time.
Boomstick: Oh yeah? What incantation is that?
Wiz: (clears throat) 'Quis quandum era maflictus, iem feachus mas redentegero, quis venit pro mas mesquam essei.'
Boomstick: ...Uh-O-Okay, then.
Wiz: With her spells, Gwen has been able to hurl around cars and blow up trucks with ease, she's been able to defeat Charmcaster, who is basically better than Gwen at casting spells, and Gwen defeated her.
Boomstick: But let's circle back to mana, shall we?
Wiz: of course. Gwen mainly uses mana to create hardened constructs with her mind, able to support the weight of a person or even a car.
Boomstick: So she's kinda like Green lantern. She can create blasts of mana, ropes to bind people, hammers, helmets, swords or things like battering rams!
Wiz: Gwen seems to be able to manipulate the elasticity and density of her mana constructs. She can make her mana spongy to protect herself from long falls, or make her mana thicker and tougher.
Boomstick: She mainly uses her mana to throw discs and make shields to protect others and herself from powerful attacks. She can also manipulate mana into heat vision, healing, telepathy or just good old restraining other people.
Wiz: In fact, while possessed, Gwen was able to restrain Humungousaur, an alien who could fight on par with Vilgax, someone who can slice through a space ship with his sword, she even pushed Sir George back with a casual mana blast.
Boomstick: Sir George once stated that misuse of his power could destroy planets and has also fought on par with Vilgax and withstood many attacks from him. She even withstood a beam of energy from Sir George.
Wiz: But that's not quite it. You see, Gwen isn't just human, in fact, she's a hybrid of a human and an Anodite.
Boomstick: The hell's an Anodite?
Wiz: Anodites are aliens made of pure energy and draw life from mana around them. Gwen is a descendant of an Anodite by the name of Verdona. If she gets in a tough fight, she can transform into a full Anodite.
Boomstick: In her Anyidote form, Gwen's mana powers increase insanely, she can grow size and she can freaking fly!
Wiz: Wait, did you just say 'Anyidote'...?-Anyway, Gwen's Anodite powers only get stronger with time.
Boomstick: While Gwen is powerful, without shields she's about as durable as a normal human, but with shields she's able to withstand attacks from people like Humungousaur and Vilgax, even though those shields were destroyed instantly.
Wiz: But Gwen is an undeniably powerful combatant. At the age of ten, she's lifted large rocks telekinetically, created a tornado to stop a house from falling on children and can pinpoint anyone's location with a locating spell.
Boomstick: Yeah, she can kind of...see mana, in a way. She can detect mana emanating from someone, and since everyone has mana, she can detect anyone from things they've touched.
Wiz: She's also incredibly fast. She's been able to intercept beams of light and lasers with her shields. Her shields can also protect her from mental attacks, as shown when she protected herself from Diagon's mind manipulation.
Boomstick: Hell, Diagon himself stated that Gwen was the most powerful being in the universe, so that's a plus, I guess?
Wiz: It's only quite unfortunate, because Gwen has a lot of untapped potential. Despite being named the most powerful, her shields are constantly being destroyed by weak attacks, which results in her fainting...almost...every..fight! And it's absurd!
Boomstick: ...Woah. Dude, she's a fictional character.
Wiz: And we're about to make her fight to the death! It seems important to talk about these things!
Boomstick: Just explain how Gwen is freaking powerful and awesome, okay?
Wiz: After helping defeat Vilgax alongside her cousin, she started a relationship with former enemy Kevin Levin. Eventually, they restored peace and Gwen went off to college, leaving Ben to do his hero work alone.
Boomstick: But Gwen's biggest obstacle was her redesign in Omniverse. Look at that! Who could let such an injustice happen to Gwen?!
Wiz: Aside from that, Gwen does have a few weaknesses, yes. Her good nature has time and time again sometimes led the group into harm and her shields can be bypassed with enough power.
Boomstick: That and her shields are usually paper-thin, which allows them to break and shatter instantly, which immediately puts her on the floor!
Wiz: Indeed. It seems that conjuring these shields actually causes physical strain against Gwen, as if she were really holding that wall instead of conjuring it. This means that with enough continuous attacks, Gwen will falter and her shields would fall.
Boomstick: But if all of that is a trade-off for mana and magic like she has, I'd be all for it!
(Gwen Tennyson: Please. Who knows what nasty slimy things are slithering around in there? (shines her flashlight on Ben) I rest my case.
Intermission[]
Wiz: All right, the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all.
Boomstick: IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLLLLLEEEEEE!
Poll[]
Death Battle[]
Harry Potter's steps crunched on the rocky footpath as he walked down it. His signature wand was drawn and he was holding it out in front of him, like a sword. Harry's eyes darted around, he was tense, he was ready.
Suddenly, someone else jumped out from behind a building and aimed their own wand at Harry. They muttered something akin to 'abracadabra'. A green light blasted out from their wand and rocketed towards the young wizard.
Harry allowed himself a small gasp before firing a blast of red sparks to match the green. The two spells clashed against each other and exploded in a shower of colour, illuminating the dark street for a second. Both wizards flinched, but Harry recovered first and aimed at the other wizard through the sparks.
"Incarcerous." Harry muttered. Ropes flew through from the wand and wrapped around the man, immobilizing him. The man groaned in anger and fell on his back. Harry pointed his wand at him, fire in his eyes.
"I'll thank you not to do that to my servants, Potter."
Harry's jaw dropped and he twisted around. A man with pale, waxy skin, cat like eyes and slits for a nose was smirking, standing behind him. Harry twisted around.
"You've caused me too much trouble already. Avada Kedavra!"
Harry gripped his wand and reacted quickly.
"Expelliarmus!"
Not unlike Harry and the immobilized wizard, their beams of light met in a gargantuan shockwave, kicking up the rocks. However, the beams didn't dissipate. Instead, they turned golden and clashed together. Their wands shook and rumbled, trying to jump out of the two men's hands.
"Gwen, where was this dark wizard?" Asked a boy wearing a green jacket, clearly exasperated. The girl, who's name was apparently Gwen, turned and scoffed, her eyes a bright pink.
"Sshhhh. Did you hear that?"
In the distance, they heard a very faint shouting of an incantation.
"It sounded like...Abracadabra?" Answered another boy, taller than the rest. He had a black top on and black hair, and his arms seemed to be coated in metal.
"I don't think so, Kevin. It sounded more like 'Avada Kedavra.'"
"Same thing." Gwen and the teenager named Kevin stared at each other, before they were interrupted with a beeping and the sound of clicking.
"That does it. I'm going in." The boy's wristwatch shined a bright green and he lifted his arm up.
"It's Hero Time!" He shouted, ready to slam his hand down. As he did, however, he was stopped by Gwen.
"Shush, Ben! We don't want your aliens to attract any attention! That incantation sounds like Latin. I bet I could work out the meaning." The boy named Ben rolled his eyes, but his hands fell to his side and the watch's green glow dimmed.
"Let's see. Avada Kedavra is the original of abracadabra..." She said, pacing back and forth. "Which means 'Let that thing be destroyed.' I think it might destroy something."
"Or someone." Kevin added solemnly, Gwen nodded. "All right, I think we may need to head over there. No watch." She added, eyeing Ben with narrowed eyes.
As they made their way to the city, Ben asked Gwen, "That was incredible. How'd you figure that out?"
"I know basic Latin. It's not difficult." She shrugged. Both Ben and Kevin looked at Gwen and shrugged, following her closely.
"Expelliarmus! Stupefy! Flipendo!" Bellowed Harry Potter, firing a number of spells at Voldemort, who all parried them with ease. The force from the spells brushed his hair to the side and illuminated a lightning-bolt shaped scar etched onto his forehead.
"Sloppy, Potter." Voldemort sneered, firing green bolts of light at him. Harry dived behind a building, the green spells blasting apart a bit of the wall. Harry jumped out from the wall and fired spells at Voldemort, who was thrown back by one of them.
Gwen had reached part of the city. The yelling was clearer now, but Gwen didn't bother to work out any more spells. Ben activated his watch again and held it to his chest, just in case. Gwen held her arm out behind her to stop the two boys.
"What?" Kevin asked hotly, but they all followed Gwen's gaze to see two wizards fighting. There was one with a black robe, who was being forced to conjure up shields to block spells shot by another wizard, one with jet-black hair.
Out of nowhere, Gwen rushed forward and wrapped a rope of mana around Harry. Both Harry and Lord Voldemort stopped and looked at Gwen, who then pulled Harry behind a building to where Ben and Kevin were standing.
Harry struggled to break free.
"Hey! Let me go. I need to fight Lord Voldemort!"
"Lord who's wart?" Kevin asked, straight-faced.
"He's a Dark Wizard who murders innocents. I need to get back and fight!" He grumbled, straining. Gwen pulled him close and narrowed her eyes.
"Right. Says the one who was casting at him."
"He was trying to kill me!"
Gwen and Kevin both narrowed their eyes, but Ben tapped them on the shoulder.
"Maybe we should listen. We don't want to attack someone innocent." Gwen's glare faltered, but Kevin's did not. Gwen suddenly forced the mana rope to dissipate. The Boy who Lived fell to the floor and held his wand high.
"There you are, Potter!" Yelled a high, clear voice. Harry, without looking said, "Oh, no.", grabbed Gwen's wrist, and twisted on the spot, apparating her away. The jet of green light crashed onto the floor where they were standing.
"Woah, chill, dude!" Kevin yelled. Voldemort turned his wand on them and smirked. Kevin and Ben looked at eachother and nodded.
"It's Hero Time for real!" Ben yelled, slamming his hand onto the watch. A flash of green light blinded both Voldemort and Kevin.
Harry and Gwen reappeared with a 'Pop!' and fell on the floor. Harry scrambled to his feet and pulled out his wand. Gwen stood up and stared daggers into Harry, who's wand was pointed at her.
"Brilliant work." Harry spat. "Now your two friends might be dead." Gwen's gaze didn't falter, but she looked at the wand and scoffed.
"Where are we?" Gwen asked, her gaze still pointed on Harry.
"Only a few blocks over." Harry replied. Jets of green light and monsters were flying around behind Gwen's back.
"You teleported us?" Gwen asked, pink discs appearing in her arms. "Are you an Anodite?"
"A-What?"
"Do you use mana?"
"No...I use spells." Gwen scoffed. She threw the discs at Harry, who twisted on his feet, disappearing. Gwen took a step back. The discs slammed into the floor where Harry was standing, who was now standing a few feet further back.
Harry gripped his wand.
"Expelliarmus!" A red bolt of light flew towards Gwen. She let out a yell and jumped high in the air, but did not come down. She was standing...on a pink...plate? Harry let out a noise of confusion and looked on in shock.
"What witch can do that?!"
"One that's about to take you down!" she countered. It was a pretty lame comeback, they both knew it. "Darn, Ben knows all the good ones..."
Harry lifts his wand and aims it at Gwen's feet.
"Carpe Retractum!"
"Carpe-what?" Gwen asks, nonplussed. Suddenly, a rope of light wrapped around her left foot. Harry pulled his wand towards him. Gwen let out a yell, before she was yanked off her mana platform and towards the boy wizard. The light whip dissipated as Harry readied another spell.
"Ventus!" A large gust of wind blew out from seemingly nowhere, carrying Gwen away. Gwen grunts and clap her hands together.
"Galeas Zipuctus!" She bellows. Gwen holds her hands out in a starfish pose, her eyes glowing blue. All the air was blasted away from her in a deadly ring of air, she was carried backwards. Harry twisted and suddenly teleported forwards, avoiding the deadly air.
"You're a witch?"
"Why do you keep calling me that?!" Gwen yelled. She planted her feet on the ground and skidded to a stop. Harry let his wand down and regained his breath. A book suddenly appeared in front of Gwen, which she grabbed.
"I am Gwendolyn Tennyson! Human Anodite hybrid and cousin of Ben Tennyson! You've caused enough damage! I'm here to take you out!"
"Heh, take me out?" Harry said, his will was strong and he had not faltered.
"I mean knocking you out. But if it comes to something further, it will!" Harry angrily raised his wand in response, while Gwen held her notebook in front of her face with one arm, the other arm pointed at the Boy who Lived.
They both anticipated each other's movements. It had already technically started, but this time they were both ready to hurt. It was time to...
FIGHT!
Both fighters stood still. Harry had placed his left foot backwards and gripped his wand tighter, but did not fire a spell. Gwen flipped through the spellbook and smirked. Harry glared at her. Both combatants stood like a statue, waiting for their opponent to strike first.
"Elota Objectia!" Gwen screeched, thrusting her hand in Harry's direction. A blue blast of magic barrelled down towards Harry, who let out a small yell of fear.
"Protego!" He yelled in response. Out from the wand, a silver shield surrounded Harry. The blue blast hit the shield, but did not hurt Harry. The energy from the blast pushed Harry back, his feet digging in the ground. Harry waved his wand and the shield dissipated quickly. Angered, he fired a number of non-verbal spells at her, each a different colour of the rainbow.
Gwen took a step back and jumped forward. She used her speed to dodge two of the spells before erecting a shield of mana. The spells all crashed into the mana shield, cracking it, but not destroying it outright.
"Portallus Projectum!" Bellowed Gwen. Mana surrounded her, blocking her from Harry's view. She twisted around and disappeared.
"Huh?! She knows how to apparate?" Harry asked, dumbfounded.
"That's right!" Responded Gwen, kicking him in the back. Harry let out a yell and twisted around, aiming to get a spell in, but Gwen suddenly hooked him in his right cheek, making him stumble backwards. Gwen moves closer and kicks him in the side, before releasing a flurry of punches upon the young wizard's torso.
"Ascendio!" Harry gasped. Out of nowhere, Harry shot up into the sky, free from Gwen's attacks. His nose was bloody and his hair was messy, but Harry almost wasn't phased.
"Diffindo!" He screamed. Something struck Gwen in the cheek, something that caused searing pain. She let out a scream and backed away, feeling the left side of her face. Gwen brought her hand to her eyes and saw a red liquid running down her fingers. This 'Diffindo' spell had cut her cheek open.
Growling, Harry sent another barrage of spells from up in the air. Gwen was forced to conjure a portal, distracted, while gravity took its turn, sending Harry plummeting to the ground.
"Aresto Momentum!" Out of nowhere, Harry's fall was slowed to the point of slowly gliding down to the ground. Gwen had dealt with the spells, but stopped her offense. I can't get close to him anymore. She thought. He's got too many spells to get out of it.
"Hello!" Harry yelled from behind her. Gwen twisted around with a gasp.
"Flipendo!" The spell struck Gwen in the chest, sending her hurtling backwards through the air. She landed on the concrete back-first, hissing in pain. Harry took a step back, pointing his wand at himself.
"Tergeo." He muttered, the blood immediately siphoning away. He pressed the wand to his chest and whispered, "Episkey.". He immediately felt better and ready to get right back in the fight. Gwen rolled to her feet and glared at Harry.
"Your skills are admirable." She said, holding her spellbook. "But it's time for this battle to-"
"Expelliarmus!" The red bolt of light hit her arm and her spellbook flew right out of her hands, hurtling towards the boy, who caught it with ease. Harry smirked and started flipping through the book.
"This is nice. Too bad it's destroyed." He said. "Incendio!" The book alighted in a mighty blaze, and the wizard dropped the book on the floor. Gwen simply smiled.
"Incendia Absum!" She screamed. The flame covering the book was immediately doused. The flame had yet to do any damage to the book. Light ropes of mana wrapped around the book and held it tightly, much to Harry's amazement and anger. The mana ropes returned the book to Gwen's hand, who started flipping through it again.
"Nice try."
"Accio!" Harry bellowed. The book flew out of her hands and towards Harry, but using her mana, Gwen constructed a net, safely catching the book. Harry growled and pointed his wand at Gwen, glaring.
"Obscuro!" He shouted. Immediately, a blindfold wrapped around Gwen's eyes, blinding her. Gwen didn't try to take it off, but merely chuckled, the blindfold obscuring the pink glow coming from her eyes. The world was dark, aside from a big cloud of pink mana in the corner of her eye. Harry.
"Galeas Zipuctus!" She yelled, pointing her hands at the pink mana cloud. A blast of wind shot at the pink cloud, knocking it backwards. The cloud let out an 'Oof!' of pain. Gwen used her new aerokinesis to pry the blindfold off her head. Harry had crashed into a building. She smirked.
"You're creative."
"Thanks..." Harry groaned, rubbing his arm. Gwen fired more spells at Harry, who blocked them all with a shield spell.
"Tara Tremmo Eradico!" Bellowed the Anodite-Human hybrid, sending a beam of magic towards a building near her. A part of the wall exploded, sending large pieces of debris flying at her. Gwen held out her arm, the debris stopped in midair. Harry let out a small noise of fear and held out his wand. Gwen pointed at Harry, the debris flying at him. Harry twisted on the spot and apparated away from the largest piece of debris, which crashed right through the building, revealing a bunch of offices.
Harry came back into the battle a few feet to the right, destroying one piece of debris with a spell. Gwen sweeped her arms to the right, sending the debris his way. Harry exploded one with Expulso, knocked one away with Ventus and blocked the rest with Wingardium Leviosa. Harry panted a little and stepped backwards.
"You...that was close..." He said breathlessly. "Luckily," He continued, grinning. "I can do the same. Oppugno!" He shouted, aiming his wand at the debris on the floor. Like bullets, the debris flew right back at Gwen, who shrieked and jumped high in the air. The debris swiftly flew up towards her. Gwen held out a hand, mana flying out of it.
The mana turned itself into a large hammer-like object. With a yell in determination and effort, Gwen used her powers to slam the hammer into the debris, destroying them all. Gwen turned to look at Harry and clapped her hands together, morphing the hammer into a sword. Harry gasped and raised his wand.
The sword came whooshing his way. Harry jumped back, but the sword sliced into his left arm. Harry let out a yell, but did not lower his wand. Gwen thrusted the giant mana sword forwards, but Harry was ready.
"Finite Incantatum!" He shouted. A spell, white in colour, clashed against the sword, causing it to fade into nothingness. Gwen's jaw dropped.
"What?! Who are you?"
"I'm Harry Potter! The Boy who Lived! Expelliarmus!" He shouted. The spell hit Gwen, sending her crashing into the floor. She groaned.
"'Boy who Lived'? I'll prove you wrong..." She muttered, before smacking herself in the forehead.
"Oh, dang! Why didn't I yell that to him?" She quickly shook her head and stood back up, mana discs appearing in her hands. Harry let out a few gasps of pain, before tapping the wand to his wound. The cut closed up and healed quickly, causing Harry to smile and Gwen to groan in frustration.
"Accio Firebolt!"
"Firebolt? What's that?" Gwen asked herself, but her question was answered by a mop-like object crashing into the back of her head. Gwen fell on her stomach but quickly got up, rubbing the back of her head.
"Where'd he?" She said quickly. Harry was gone.
"Confringo!" Came a voice from above her. Gwen looked up and saw an orange spell speeding towards her. Gwen raised a shield of mana, but once the spell hit the mana shield, the spell exploded in a violent fiery explosion, shattering the shield and stunning Gwen. Harry took his opportunity to fire more spells at the girl below him.
One spell hit Gwen in the stomach, blasting her down the street. Harry flew down to her level, now riding the mop object. He fired another spell at Gwen, which caused her to feel confused. Harry pointed his wand at her face.
"Incendio Duo!" A large stream of flames flew towards Gwen, who created a small shield. The flames enveloped the shield and singed her arms, causing her to yell in pain. Harry smirked evilly.
"This ends now!" He screeched, a green light shining from the end of his wand. "Avada-!" But he hesitated. He looked at Gwen, who was staring at him with a mixture of pain and fear, and he couldn't bring himself to complete the spell. He struggled to say the other word to the incantation, but he just didn't make the noise.
Harry sighed, and lowered his wand. Gwen looked in his eyes and understood. He just couldn't bring himself to finish her off. When the realisation that he had mercy, she smiled slightly. Harry squeezed his eyes shut and fought back the spell, landing on the ground.
"I'm sorry. This has gone on far enough. Let's end this fight." He said. Gwen looked at him and looked into her spellbook.
"Facio Gravis!" She yelled. Harry dropped the broomstick and fell on his knees, feeling something weigh him down. He let out a yell. Gwen used her mana to bring the Firebolt broomstick to her hands. She yelled in anger and threw the discs at the broomstick, slicing it clean in half. Harry looked up and groaned.
"No..." He said. Gwen had taken advantage of his mercy. Suddenly, the gravity returned to normal and Harry scrambled to his feet, panting. Gwen yelled and thrusted both of her hands forward, ropes of mana whacked Harry in the side of his head with the broomstick half. Harry let out a yell and twisted around, moving further back via apparition.
"Corona!"
A plate of mana crashed over Harry, making him yell and fall to the floor. Harry spat, blood mixed with spit. Harry looked to his right and saw the office building, when he had an idea. He stumbled into the building and apparated to the next floor up. Gwen looked taken aback by this and teleported to the building, looking around, ready for a surprise attack.
"Deprimo!" Harry called out, quickly twisting on his feet to escape the building. The floor above Gwen creaked, before suddenly collapsing on top of her. Gwen let out a yell, as Harry watched with slight amusement. A minor purple glow shone through the cracked floor. Harry quickly pulled out his wand and glared.
Out of nowhere, a purple being erupted from the rubble. Gwen was nowhere to be seen, or wait, was this Gwen?
"This...ends...NOW!" The being screamed, tendrils of mana slithering out from her back, all pointed at the Boy who Lived.
Ben Tennyson was now a flying alien, slamming the dark wizard Voldemort into a wall. Voldemort freed himself angrily.
"Peasant! You dare challenge me?! Lord Voldemort?!" He shouted. Ben reverted back into his human form and readied his watch. They had yet to notice the booms and yelling coming from the two combatants a few blocks down.
"Who are you?" Ben asked, his hand hovering over the Omnitrix, which had displayed a large kaiju-like beast.
"I am Lord Voldemort! The greatest Dark Wizard of my time! You will fall like that Potter boy will!" They heard a boom. The three fighters turned to the direction it came from and saw a deep purple glow illuminate the street.
"Oh no, Gwen!" Ben said, twisting his Omnitrix. Kevin was already tearing off in the glow's direction, as Voldemort slithered away like a snake, chuckling evilly. Ben slammed his wrist down on the watch, once again becoming the flying bird-like alien.
"Jetray!" The alien shouted, taking off, flying towards the glow.
The now Anodite Gwen Tennyson flicked a glance over at the two new arrivals, but never kept her eyes off the Boy who Lived. Harry started to back away, lowering his wand. The Anodite rose into the air and held her hands above her head. In her hands, a large ball of mana was building up.
Harry looked to his right and took off, running as fast as he could. The Anodite turned to face him and threw the giant mana ball at him. Harry twisted his head around and screamed, twisting on the spot. With a ‘CRACK!’, Harry disappeared, avoiding the deadly mana ball by inches. The ball smashed into the ground, sending waves of concrete flying in every direction.
“Gwen! GWEN!” Called Jetray, who landed and transformed back into his human form. Harry reappeared suddenly, panting. Gwen turned her back on her two friends and fired a beam of mana at the boy who lived. Harry dived behind a building, the mana missing him my centimeters.
“GWEN!” Called Kevin. Gwen stopped and turned to face her friends, her scowl permanently etched onto her face.
“What are you doing?!” Ben asked her, almost screaming. Gwen’s body glowed.
“Harry Potter is a menace. He needs to be put down.”
“‘Put down’? Are you listening to yourself?” Ben responded. Gwen turned to face Harry and fired a beam near the building, destroying part of it, revealing the Boy who Lived. Harry held his wand high. Gwen fired a beam of mana at Harry.
“Expelliarmus!” The two beams clashed together, but Gwen overpowered the spell. Harry stumbled back as his spell dissipated. The mana beam was flying towards Harry, faster than he could react…
Until it crashed into the building, right next to him. Harry was thrown to the side, hurt, but alive. Gwen looked to her left and only saw Swampfire, vines wrapped around her arm.
“Gwen...I won’t let you kill him!” Swampfire yelled. Gwen looked at Harry, who was getting to his feet, then to Ben and sighed. She floated to the ground and returned to normal, as Swampfire’s vines unravelled themselves from Gwen’s arm.
But Kevin rushed forwards and pointed her arm in Harry’s direction for her. Swampfire reverted back to Ben and rushed forward, grabbing Kevin’s shoulder.
“Kevin, what are you doing?!” Ben screeched.
“Gwen’s gotta do what she’s gotta do.”
“What? Kill someone in cold blood?” Ben said, crossing his arms. Kevin looked at the Omnitrix warily, but stuck to his guns.
“Look at her! She’s got a gash in her cheek and is clearly hurt.”
“But look at him!” Ben said, pointing at the injured Harry, who was on his feet and holding his arm. “He’s already beaten!” Harry pointed his wand at himself and said something, letting go of his arm and moving it back and forth happily.
Kevin glared at Ben. “But he’s a wizard and he’s attacked her. Look at him, he’s approaching. Do what you have to, Gwen.” The girl looked at her two friends and sighed. Harry raised his wand.
“Guys, his will is strong. Stronger than I’ve ever seen. He won’t give up easily.” She said. Kevin wore a smug smile while Ben looked concerned.
“Sectumsempra!” Harry shouted out of nowhere. A jet of silver light erupted from his wand, flying straight towards Gwen, who was powerless to stop it.
“Gwen!” Kevin shouted, jumping in front of her. The spell hit Kevin in the chest and he let out a blood-curdling scream of pain, crumpling onto his back. Both Gwen and Ben looked down in fear. Kevin was lying there, unconscious and decorating his chest were a number of long, deep gashes.
Blood was seeping onto the floor fast. Ben took two steps forward and activated the Omnitrix, tears in his eyes.
“Kevin! We’ll see what Alien X has to say about this!” Ben said, raising his arm. But Gwen stopped him.
“Ben! You take Kevin and get help. I’ll take care of Harry.” Her voice was uneven, and she was clearly fighting back tears.Ben looked between Harry and Kevin and hesitated. Gwen looked at him fearfully.
“Go, Ben! There’s no time to argue!” Ben nodded quickly and fiddled with his watch again. “Spidermonkey!” He shouted, slamming his palm down. Where Ben was standing was now occupied by a monkey, who picked the unconscious and bleeding Kevin up. The monkey shot a web and swung away.
Gwen angrily turned to Harry and glared. Harry's face was white with shock and he took a few steps back. He never meant to harm the other two. He only struck at Gwen in self defense. She was trying to kill him!
Now the final battle was upon them.
"Stupefy!" Bellowed Harry, firing a red spell her way. Gwen raised a mana shield and blocked the spell.
"Reducto!" The spell crashed into the shield and turned it to mere dust, shocking Gwen. She rushed forward and delivered a devastating hit with a mana whip, knocking Harry off his feet. Gwen kicked him in the stomach, sending him hurtling into a window. With a grunt and a crack, he teleported behind her, using the diffindo spell to slice into her back.
Gwen almost fell forward, but stayed on her feet.
"Aquata Risa Spackwata" She yelled, pointing her hands at Harry. The ground underneath him rumbled. Harry looked on in shock as water spouts carried him into the air. He let out a yell, but pointed his wand down.
"Incendio Tria!" He shouted. A red flame, more intense than anything Gwen had ever seen before overpowered the spouts, turning them into a wall of steam. Harry took the opportunity to throw his Invisibility Cloak over himself.
Gwen moved away from the steam, Harry following her silently. Gwen looked around her, alert, but saw no-one. Harry pointed his wand at Gwen's back and focused his energy.
Imperio. He said in his mind. There was a peculiar sensation as the spell traveled through his wand and into the air. The spell struck Gwen in the back, but there was no pain. Just a feeling of content.
Gwen was in bliss. She sighed and leaned back, holding her hand to her head happily. Suddenly, Harry's voice filled her mind. Drop the spellbook. Gwen closed her eyes, trying to fight off the manipulation, but couldn't bring herself to create a mana shield.
Drop it. Drop the book. Said Harry's voice again. A smaller, yet bolder voice arose, fighting the suggestion.
There's no point to that.
Just drop it.
But why?
Because I SAID! Harry's voice yelled that last line, causing Gwen to recoil.
But then I'll lose...
Drop it.
NO!
Do it!
"I WON'T!" Gwen shouted. The voices were gone and Gwen was surrounded by a mana shield. Harry scowled from under the cloak. He gripped his wand harder and thought: Fine. Crucio!
Out of nowhere, Gwen fell on her stomach, a pain unlike any other surrounding her. It was like all of her atoms were on fire. It was unbearable. She let out an inhuman scream. Harry watched from beneath the cloak as Gwen writhed in pain, and once again his eyes told a different story than his wand.
The pain went away as suddenly as it had come. Gwen caught her shaky breaths and shivered, as Harry released the spell. Gwen closed her eyes, tracking the mana. She looked to her left, there was nothing. She looked to the right. A mana cloud! Gwen let out a yell.
"Galeas Zipuctus!" She points her hand at Harry. A strong gust of wind envelops the boy wizard, blowing the Cloak off of him. Harry lets out a strained grunt and hols out his wand, shooting a wind spell of his own.
"Not this time!" Gwen growls. She puts both of her hands out and increases the intensity of her wind spell. Harry's feet dug into the ground and a bead of sweat appeared on his forehead.
"Ventus...Tria!" He yells, but it's no use. Gwen's spell overpowers him and slams him into a building. Harry lets out a pained grunt and almost falls, but stays on his feet. Harry looks up to see Gwen rushing towards him, her hand curled into a fist.
"Impedimenta!" He cries, firing a spell at Gwen. She stops her approach and jumps up in the air, dodging the spell.
"Levicorpus!" Gwen dives to the side and throws a mana disc at Harry, which strikes his left hand. Blood spills from his hand and he lets out a yell, but he does not lower his wand.
"Stupefy! Confundo! Carpe Retractum!" Two of the spells fly past Gwen, inches from her body, but the third spell causes a light rope to curl itself around her right arm. Harry pulls as Gwen wraps a mana rope around Harry's left arm.
"It seems...We're stuck!" Harry grunts, but Gwen merely smirks.
"Not exactly...Ungh! I've still got another trick up my sleeve! To stop this whole fight from escalating!" Harry's eyes widen a little and he causes his spell to disappear, as does Gwen.
Out of nowhere, Harry aims his wand in Gwen's direction.
"Confundo!"
"Vortess Nebulae!" Gwen cries. The yellow spell smacks against Gwen's shield and rebounds, too quick for Harry to react. The spell hits Harry in the face, causing him to stumble back. Instead of a determined scowl, he now wore a mildly confused smile. He looked at his raised wand in confusion and lowered it, smiling sheepishly.
Using this distraction, Gwen raises her hands in the air.
"Now you'll see what I'm made of!"
"Skin and bones?" Harry replies in a dazed voice, holding his forehead.
"Quis quandum era maflictus..." Harry looks at Gwen in confusion. "...iem feachus mas redentegero..."
"What are you doing?" Harry asked, his mind was becoming clearer. Harry started to raise his wand again, although his true thoughts were still foggy.
"quis venit pro mas mesquam essei!" Gwen finished. At once, above her hands, a triangular portal erupted from thin air. Harry stumbled towards Gwen, his wand-arm resting at his side. Gwen looked at Harry and winked, before she was sucked in the portal.
"What's..." Harry began, although he could feel the portal sucking him in. He let out a gasp and tried to fight it, but the pull was too strong. Harry looked around and saw a light post.
"Carpe-" He began, but he was cut off. He was lifted into the air. His scream was cut off short through entering the portal. The portal closed and time reversed.
Suddenly, a portal opens a few meters right of where Harry and Gwen were fighting. The two combatant walked closer to the portal, Gwen's hands had balls of mana, while Harry had pointed his wand at it.
There was a faint yelling. Harry and Gwen moved back, still ready to attack, when out the portal emerged...another Gwen?
"What the-?" Harry began. The other Gwen got to her feet and moved away from the portal. The original Gwen looked at her...clone? It had taken a beating. The clone's cheek and back were cut and bleeding, she had many bruises and blood was trickling out the corner of her mouth.
"Who are you?!" The original Gwen cried. The clone Gwen turned to her and smirked.
"I'm you, from the future." Harry looked confused, while Gwen had covered her mouth in shock.
"I'd forgotten all about that spell..." The Gwen from the past nodded. She walked up to her future counterpart and grabbed her shoulder.
"Why are you so banged up?"
The Future Gwen opened her mouth to answer, but another yelling from the portal rang out. Harry moved closer, pointing his wand at the portal when out fell...another Harry?
The Past Harry stared. Future Harry was also banged up. His hair was grimy, his left hand was cut and bleeding, he was bruised and his nose seemed like it had been bleeding. Future Harry got to his feet and brushed himself off, looking at Past Harry.
"Heads up. Gwen here is trying to kill...us."
"Can't I go one year without having to worry about being murdered?!" Past Harry groaned. Future Gwen stared at him and smiled evilly.
"For Kevin!" She shouted, as she threw a mana disc at him. Past Harry let out a yell of fear.
"Protego!" Roared Future Harry, stepping in front of him. The discs crashed into the shield and boomed, but did not injure either Harry.
"I know we're not supposed to see each other...but I would be appreciative if you helped!" Groaned Future Harry, firing a spell in Future Gwen's direction. Past Harry shot a Stunner in Future Gwen's direction, missing her by inches.
"Guess it's two on two..." Past Gwen said, annoyed. The 4 fighters stood in place, looking at each other. Which two would prevail?
Past Gwen fired a beam of mana at Past Harry, which Future Harry blocked with Shield spell. Past Harry lurched around the Future Harry and fires a Disarming Charm at Past Gwen, knocking her backwards.
Future Gwen threw discs at Future Harry, causing him to stumble back with every disc. Past Harry used his free hand to keep him stand. While Future Gwen was throwing discs at the Future Harry, Past Gwen fired a beam of mana at the Past Harry, who leaped to the side. The beam scraped his right arm right above the elbow before crashing into a wall.
The Gwens were about to attack again, when they spotted something strange. The Future Harry was sporting a cut he had not had before. He hadn't been hit, and the cut was right above the elbow, exactly where Past Harry was cut. The two Gwens looked at each other in surprise, putting the pieces together.
They smiled together and mana surrounded their 4 hands. Past Harry gasped and grabbed Future Harry, twisting on his feet. With a CRACK!, the Harrys apparated behind them. The two Gwens looked around, only to hear two yells behind them.
"Glacius!" Both of the spells hit Past Gwen in the back. Ice was surrounding her, her eyes were becoming glazed as the ice crawled around her body. Future Gwen let out a roar and pulled out her spellbook, creating a mana shield in front of her.
"Rest Ituo Nowitus Wespinaetro Itus Vigoratus Perwita!" She bellowed, pointing at Past Gwen. She was surrounded in a pink bubble of mana. The ice started melting around her. The ice around her head melted and Past Gwen panted, reaching for all the air in the bubble. Slowly, the rest of the ice melted as spells clashed against the mana shield, cracking it.
The pink bubble disappeared, leaving Past Gwen unfrozen, if not a little rattled. The mana shield was hit by a Stunning Spell and shattered, throwing Future Gwen off her feet. Past Gwen raised her left arm and pointed her right at Future Harry. A beam of mana shot towards Harry, who apparated out of the way.
A mana net caught Future Gwen and dropped her to the ground safely. The Past versions of Harry and Gwen were ready for battle. The Future Harry and Gwen were worn out. They were panting and holding their arms, battered and bruised.
"Guys! This doesn't have to be this way!" Past Harry called out, conjuring a large shield charm to protect both parties. "We can work this out! We just need to stop fighting!"
The past Gwen nodded slowly, while Future Gwen merely scowled. She rose into the air, growling slightly.
"You slashed me up, froze my past self and maimed by boyfriend! I...have...HAD IT!" She screamed, letting loose a barrage of mana beams from her hands. The beams started to push Past Harry backwards, uprooting some concrete. He let out a strained grunt and looked back to the injured Future Harry.
"You gonna help?" He asked through gritted teeth. Future Harry shuffled forward and raised his wand with Past Harry's.
"Protego Maxima!" He yelled. The shield grew bigger. Past Gwen joined in the mana shooting, pushing both Harry's back. The Harry's were getting worn out, Harry's wand-arm was shaking and lowering, while Past Harry was merely sweating.
Future Gwen let out a roar and charged up a large beam of mana. Past Harry apparated back, while Future Harry stood his ground. The future combatants let out battle cries.
"EXPELLIARMUS!!"
"THIS IS DONE!"
The red and purple beams clashed, sending a shockwave through the city. Windows shattered and car alarms went crazy. The Past Gwen and Past Harry glared at each other. Past Harry raised his wand, but before he could get his word out, a mana beam hit him square in the chest, sending him hurtling backwards.
Future Harry let out a yell and strained, the purple beam inching ever closer to the boy wizard. Past Harry apparated next to Future Harry and let out his own yell, firing his own Disarming Charm. The red beams began to overpower the purple.
"I AM AN ANODITE!" Gwen yelled to herself, pushing her abilities to its limit. The purple overpowered the red. Both Harry's let out a yell as their spells were destroyed. Future Gwen used a mana rope to knock past Harry to the floor.
"Somnis!" She cried, firing a spell in Past Harry's direction. The spell collided with Harry, immediately falling asleep, leaving Future Harry shocked, angry and most importantly, scared. He raised his wand. However, he was backing away.
"Oh no. Not this time!" Gwen let out. "Discombobulus Negatum!" The shockwave passed through Harry, who didn't feel a thing.
"That was it? Sectumsempra!" Harry yelled, waving his wand wildly. Past Gwen winced...but nothing happened. Nothing shot out of his wand. Harry let out a yell of fear and shock before waving his wand again, yelling more charms and curses, to no avail.
Harry looked at his wand in fear and froze. A mana rope was lifting him into the air by his hips. He let out a yell and tried to apparate away, but nothing happened. He was helpless. Future Gwen's eyes were purple. Harry could tell fire was burning in her eyes. There was no talking his way out of this one.
Harry let out a yell. Future Gwen was holding Harry up with one hand, but constructing something with her other. It was a sword. Harry twisted and struggled, but it was worthless. The sword flew towards Harry and swished. It was so fast Harry barely caught it. The last thing he saw was blood dripping from the sword...
...As his right arm fell to the ground. Harry let out a scream, but this was much more than a scream, it was a cry of agony, calling for help from the gods. The screaming didn't stop. Harry held his shoulder, shaking. He couldn't desperately raise his wand anymore, it had fallen to the ground with his arm.
"Adfishio Potentia!"
The sword disappeared as Future Gwen fired 5 small mana rays out the tips of her fingers, which flew towards Harry's chest at lightning speeds. The mana rays crashed into Harry's chest and burst out the other side, sending a fresh load of screaming out from Harry's mouth. Blood was leaking from his arm, raining down on Future Gwen.
"Mercuta Verditis!" She screamed. An amazingly powerful magenta beam of mana erupted from her hands, causing the mana rope holding Harry in the air to disappear. The beam of mana caught him, blasting right through his chest, leaving a hole large enough to fit your head in.
Harry was carried high into the air, high enough to become a speck to the human eye. The mana overpowered his body. Then the explosion occurred. A large purple, mana-fueled explosion lit up the night sky. Harry's body was blasted into smithereens.
Future Gwen fell to the ground, the rest of Harry's blood spilling over her like a hot shower. She stood up and looked over at the peaceful Past Harry, unaware of the events that had just transpired. Then he faded away. It was simple. Future Harry died, Past Harry followed suit. Gwen took a step back and raised her arms, recasting the spell that sent them back in time in the first place, leaving the Past Gwen disgusted and a little confused.
K.O!
Gwen jumped out of the portal to the present, Harry's severed arm and broken wand following. She looked around her. Harry was nowhere to be seen, unless you count the arm leaking blood behind her.
"Gwen?!" Rang out a boy's voice. A voice all too familiar.
"Ben?!" She turned instinctively. Ben stumbled backwards with shock, and honestly, why wouldn't he when Gwen was covered in someone else's blood? Ben saw the arm on the floor and quickly put two and two together.
"You killed him." He said simply, although he was horrified. Gwen nodded slowly. She pushed her bloody hair out the way of her eyes.
"How's Kevin?" She asked. Ben's eyes welled up with tears. He closed them and took a moment to regain himself. He opened his mouth, but closed it, seeing Gwen's expression. She already knew. Gwen fell to her knees, shaking violently, shaky breaths escaped her and caught in her throat. Tears streamed down her cheek.
A large CRACK! emanated from behind them. Ben twisted on his heels and saw a red-headed boy and a messy-haired girl step forwards, wands drawn.
"This is where Harry was before..." The girl, Hermione Granger, said. "Let's keep-" But she stopped dead upon spying Ben and the girl covered in blood.
"Woah!" She blurted out. Ron simply stared, mouth wide open.
"Blimey! Who knew someone could bleed that much! Hey, have you seen our friend Harry? Wears glasses, black hair, big scar on his forehead?" Gwen shot up, trying to wipe her tears.
"You're friends with...with him?"
"Yeah..." Hermione said, apprehensive. She looked at Gwen, who was staring at something. She followed Gwen's eyesight and saw Harry's severed arm and his broken wand.
"Merlin's..." Hermione gasped, but then she saw Gwen's face, the blood seeping down it, and she put two and two together.
"You killed him..." She said, sliding onto her knees. Ron continued to stare, silent tears streaking down his face. Hermione collapsed on the ground, sobbing loudly. Ron's hands clenched into fists and he glared.
"Do you know what you've done?!" He said, his voice shaky. "You've not only killed our best friend...but the savior of the world.
"He-He-HE wasn't a savior..." Gwen stuttered, trying to keep her voice straight. "He was a violent, aggressive man."
Another crack, this time out stepped a wizard wearing a black cloak, with snake-like slits for a nose. Ben activated his watch and took a step forward, but Voldemort merely threw back his head and laughed.
"You think I want to do Round Two? I just came here to revel in Harry Potter's death." He drawled. "You see, he was the only thing standing in my way. Now I am free, and we, the Death Eaters, will have it all." He said, disappearing into a black smoke.
Gwen stared. "You mean he...he was a good guy...?!" She cried, her hands on her mouth. "I thought...Dark wizard..." She trailed off.
Ron and Hermione apparated away, leaving Ben and Gwen staring at Harry's arm. Ben deactivated the Omnitrix as Gwen pulled out her spellbook and angrily threw it away.
Conclusion[]
Boomstick: ...Holy crap! So much for the Boy who Lived!
Wiz: Now despite what it may seem, Harry held a number of advantages over Gwen Tennyson. He was relatively more versatile, had greater agency over the battle and arguably had better experience.
Boomstick: Yeah, except Gwen beat him in most other categories! Strength, speed, durability, all went to Gwen. Her strength feats of restraining Humungousaur, who fought on par with Vilgax, trumps any of Harry's best feats, and reacting to laser and gunfire is a lot more impressive than any broomstick or spell-dodging feats anyone in the Wizarding World could do.
Wiz: Gwen simply had the power to take Harry down. Remember, to beat Harry Potter, you have to only be faster than him. that way you could avoid all of his attacks while landing all of your own.
Boomstick: And many of Gwen's spells and mana simply countered Harry at almost every turn. She had spells to douse flames, control wind, gain telekinesis, nullify power, create shields and bubbles that turned people back to normal, Harry could not react to that.
Wiz: Exactly. And while Harry's Apparition could throw Gwen in for a loop at first, her numerous power nullification and teleportation spells rendered Apparition moot.
Boomstick: A lot of Gwen's spells simply left Harry stumped. Flying? Oh, she could do that to and had telekinesis. Invisibility? She could track mana. Mind control? Nah, she's broken out of that too!
Wiz: And aside from a few select spells, all of which Gwen could easily dodge, none of his spells could really get the job done and even then Gwen was just too fast for him.
Boomstick: Even then, his numerous spells and sheer creativity did keep him in the fight.
Wiz: Right. And while Harry could certainly catch Gwen off guard in more ways than one, she had the blinding speeds, unbreakable defense and astounding strength to tip the scales in her favor.
Boomstick: I guess Gwen just 'wand'ed that win a bit more!
Wiz: The winner is Gwen Tennyson.
