Harley Quinn vs Jinx is a What-if episode of Death Battle, featuring Harley Quinn from DC Comics and Jinx from League of Legends in a battle between criminally insane girls.

Description[]

Taking two of the craziest girls, and making them meet. Sounds like a good idea.

Interlude[]

Wiz: There are many reasons for why people will turn to a life of crime. Unfortante living conditions that force you too, pure greed to take something that's not rightfully yours...

Boomstick: Or just being bat shit crazy and doing it all for the fun of it. Like Harley Quinn, DC's most unstable psychiatrist

Wiz: And Jinx, the League of Legend's loose cannon.

Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armours and skill to find out who would win...a Death Battle.

Harley Quinn[]

Wiz: Many may recognize her now as a foolish, blond bimbo, but with a high IQ, a scholarship for gymnastics, and a passion for the human mind, Harleen Quinzel had set herself up for a very promising career in psychology. Though to be honest, she probably should've gotten a psychiatrist of her own.

Boomstick: You see, during college, she did an experiment with her boyfriend to see if someone would be willing to commit crime for the sake of love. TL:DR, she ended up getting him to kill a stranger and himself. Pretty sure that's exactly what a psychiatrist is suppose to get people NOT to do.

Wiz: From her college experiment, she believed that she understood what went on in the mind of Gotham's most infamous psychopath; The Joker. After graduating from college and, somehow, getting a positive reference from the professor that watched her experiment, she finally got her chance to have study sessions with Joker.

Boomstick: And confirmed just how crazy she really was by falling in love with Joker, busted him out, and joined his gang, giving up a boring life as a talking doctor, and becoming Gothams second clown of chaos...Harley Quinn.

"Knock knock, Pudding. Say hello to your new improved Harley Quinn."

-Harley Quinn

Wiz : Turned out she was actually much better at being a psychopathic clown than a doctor. She was already a skilled acrobatic even before her career in crime, so she was able to fit right in with Joker's evil circus.

Boomstick: While her arsenal isn't as vast as Joker's, she does have some favourite toys, such as her pop-guns, a set of .337 revolvers that can fire oversize corks, which is great for distracting enemies from when she's firing...you know. ACTUAL bullets. Alternatively, she occasionally brings a M20 Bazooka, a single-fire anti-tank weapon for when people don't quite get the punchline.

Wiz: She also has a baseball bat for more up close battles, though her favourite melee weapon has always been her hammers. While their sizes have varied from practical to comically impractical, many are comparable to the largest sledgehammers ever used, which can weigh over 60 pounds.

Boomstick: But then she's got tools that are comical AND practical, such as a giant boxing glove gun, explosive pies, a jack-in-the-box bomb, a non-lethal variant of the joker venom, and a chainsaw.

Wiz: Wait, how is a chainsaw comical.

Boomstick: What, are you kidding? Have you ever even used one? These things are seriously a lot of fun for when killing zombies. Why, if shotguns weren't so much more stable, I would've had a chainsaw leg.

Wiz: I believe it. Anyway, Harley also possesses Olympic-class agility and flexibility, capable of rivaling Catwoman and Nightwing's, the latter of whom is capable of performing a quadruple backflip. Helpful for when the two of them have to fight off Batman himself. Whom she has been able to keep busy when not taken seriously.

Boomstick: So she's bendy, huh? He he. Well, it's no wonder Joker decided to keep her around. Lucky bastard. Then again, you know what they say about sticking your dick in crazy. Maybe someone should've told Harley that.

Wiz: Umm...Boomstick?

Boomstick: I know, I know. I just realized what I said.

Wiz: Still, you're not wrong. After a while, Harley started to realize that dating a violent serial killer...wasn't a very good idea. After years of abuse, she began to realize that all she had to thank Joker for was countless beatings from either the Dark Knight, or far more frequently, the Joker himself.

Boomstick: Lucky for her, she quickly became best friends/hot lover with the much more confident lady criminal, Poison Ivy, who helped encourage Harley to be more independent. And for good measure, she gave Harley plant steroids.

Wiz: Specifically, it was an injection of Ivy's own plant toxins, which was given to Harley with the purpose of giving her immunity to her poisons, so she couldn't accidently kill Harley. However, in addition to giving Harley immunity to Ivy's poisons, she gained a greatly improved body.

Boomstick: This toxin immunity gave Harley improved strength, speed, durability, and even a healing factor. She can take on and even enjoy electric shocks, and was perfectly fine after getting hit by a moving car. She once got shot in the shoulder, and after the bullet came out, it completely healed over right away. At this point, I'm starting to worry if she's just a girl Deadpool.

Wiz: She's also become fast enough to dodge a pistol a point-blank range, , and at this point, even Batman has a hard time fighting her in hand-to-hand due to her agility

Boomstick: Okay, forget what I said. If I meet a lady who's super flexible, I'm NOT hitting on them. I value my life.

Wiz: After getting these new strengths and much needed confidence, Harley became a legitimate threat all on her own. She has defeated some of Gotham's biggest crime lords like Two-face and Penguin, as well win a fight against Killer Croc after taking a full-frontal attack from him, whom Batman has claimed is strong enough to live a school bus, which is about 12 tons.

Boomstick: She's even proved her physical superiority over the Joker himself, even when trapped in a straight-jacket. She's even snuck up on the God damn Batman himself, whose whole thing is being sneaky. Once, she even knocked him out with the biggest mallet in her collection. Probably a bit heavier than those 60 pounders

Wiz: Comparing this hammer to Harley's own size, and because it's a wooden mallet, assume it is made of oak, we've estimated that Harley swung a 600 pound hammer on Batman's head.

Boomstick: Ahhh... reminds me of the good old days when my ex-wife would do that to me. I can hereby confirm that Harley really is a dangerous, crazy girlfriend to have.

Wiz: Dangerous, yes. Strong, yes. Bright... oddly enough, no. Despite her career and previous education, a lot of what she has learned has gone to waste. She's rarely the one who puts plans in motion and is usually a following, but when she does make a plan by herself, she tends to make some obvious mistakes, like the time she tried to escape Arkham by hiding in the laundry chute...and then getting trapped in a laundry machine.

Boomstick: How the hell do you accidently get trapped in the wash? Still, even when after a point where she deemed legally sane and tried to go back to living a normal life, she saw no problems with walking around the city with her pet hyenas. Don't think that's even legal.

Wiz: Harley is definitely eccentric and somewhat childish, but at the end of the day, someone who can keep smiling after so much hardships and STILL keep bashing people's head in, will always be more dangerous then you can realize.

"And here you thought I was just another bubble-headed, blond bimbo. Well, the joke's on you. I'm not even a real blond."

-Harley Quinn

Jinx[]

Wiz: While the nations the world of Runeterra have all sought after growth or power, none have made leaps of magical or technological growth like the city of progress, Piltover. Merchants, inventors, and really and creative mind will want to make a difference there.

Boomstick: But, that's only the half of it. Down below is it's sister city, Zuan, where rules are a bit more lenient. As in...well, if it was completely up to them, there would be no rules at all.

Wiz: Still, with the new cities playing a symbiotic relationship, both have found ways to live side-by-side, allowing for anyone to find their place in one city or the other. However, that doesn't necessarily mean Piltover's problems don't come from Zuan. In fact, many criminals found in Piltover are from Zuan.

Boomstick: This includes one hellion who on her first day of the job creates chaos on the roads od the city by blocking bridges, blowing up roads, and something I've personally done, steal street signs. Imagine trying to get to work on a day like that.

Wiz: These would only be the first of countless crimes committed by Piltover's boldest and most insane criminal to ever walk it's streets. She was the city's Jinx.

"♪Come on, shoot faster! Just a little bit of energy! I want to have a little fun right now...♪ "

Boomstick: No one really knows who she was or where she came from before she was given the name Jinx. Some think she was a sweet innocent girl who joined the wrong group at the wrong time and went mad after murder. But honestly, the thing we know for certain is that mad part.

Wiz: What is known is that as Jinx, she is criminal hailing from Zuan who used to be part of a gang with her old friends, Vi and Ekko, all thee names being nicknames by the way, but over time, she began to hear voices in her head. Even worse, she seems to think the voices come from her guns. One can only imagine what kind of mental trauma this girl has gone through to begin hearing things from deadly weapons.

Boomstick: Huh...blue hair, snow white skin...that kid actually looks a lot like ex-wife number five.

Wiz: Aaaaand mystery solved.

Boomstick: Well, speaking of guns that makes a lot of noise, her favourite is Fishbones, a self-made shoulder-fire missile launcher which, unlike your typical RPGs or rocker launchers, is capable of firing multiple missiles, not unlike the M202 FLASH incendiary rocket launcher. Oh, and she can rocket jump with it, something I hope to do without losing my other leg.

Wiz: You may also be well acquainted with Pow-Pow, a compactable variant of the M134 minigun, which are known to have a rate of fire anywhere between two thousand to six thousand rounds per minute. And these are both weapon she carries around regularly. The rocket launcher are her back must be around 40 pounds. on its own.

Boomstick: Hold on Wiz, were not done yet. She doesn't just like rockets and guns, she likes bombs. Like...a lot. Blow up bridges, blow up buildings, blow up people, blow up herself, she just loves bombs. Her personal favourite though are her flame chompers, which is basically part grenade, part bear trap, trapping anyone who steps in it, then BOOM! They aren't trapped anymore.

Wiz: But her strongest explosive is her Super Mega Death Rocket...

Boomstick: Which is possibly the most overkill name ever,

Wiz: This giant missile has a significantly longer range than her normal rockets, flying across entire battlegrounds before exploding on enemy contact, and somehow deal more damage to already injured enemies.

Boomstick: OVERKILL! OVERKILL! OVER--oh, and um...she also has a handheld gun called Zapper, which fires a bolt of lightning to slow down and electrocute the first thing to get hit. Good to know that tasers aren't beneath her, as it will slow down enemies that get zapped by it.

Wiz: With all of these deadly weapons and handy tools, Jinx became Piltover's most infamous criminal mastermind, constantly on the run from the city's finest upholders of the law.

Boomstick: And these aren't just your average donut eating cops either. They include a cyborg lady who clearly loves Attack on Titan, the city's sheriff who's also a hot, british sniper, and she's even gone toe-to-toe with the Piltover Enforce, her old friend, Vi. In fact, the two even got locked in a bank vault that Jinx was trying to rob, and fought an intense battle where Jinx ultimately escaped.

Wiz: Pretty impressive considering Vi's own power. During her old life as a criminal, Vi was known for punching her way though the strongest bank vaults. While vault designs vary, older vaults in real life are known for being difficult to destroy, as they are made of concreate reinforced with steel, with doors being about 3 feet thick. To break through the steel alone would require Vi to punch with at least 40,000 pounds per square inch.

Boomstick: And this super strong, punch happy chick couldn't stop Jinx, even when locked in the same room. But, Jinx isn't just tough enough to take on Vi, she's fast enough to get away from her and her sniping boss, Caitlyn. And probably a lot of other bad dudes.

Wiz: There are many marksmen in the world of Runeterra, many of whom are capable of great mobility, and while Jinx may not be the most agile as many of them, she is certainly one of the fasting running.

Boomstick: That's because when someone dies, or when a building gets blown up, or just when she's in a good mood, she gets excited. She lives for the sole purpose of getting an adrenaline rush, and when she blows something up, she becomes one happy girl.

Wiz: As an obvious adrenaline junkie, these violent behaviours gives her a massive burst of energy, which she uses to fire her weapons at a faster rate, as well as run 175% faster than usual. So, we'll have to figure out her normal speed.

Boomsticks: I'm smelling that some complex math is coming up.

Wiz: Not at all. After measuring the in-game Battleground of Summoner's rift, which has a length and width of 160 meters, Jinx's speed came up as slightly faster than the average human walking speed, and the average running speed is about 15 mile per hour. So, when excited, Jinx can run, at bare minimum, 32 miles per hour. In the real world, the current record holder of the world's fastest running speed is Usain Bolt, with a record of nearly 28 miles per hour.

Boomstick: That kind of sounds slow to me.

Wiz: Well, keep in mind that we're only comparing her to the running speed of the average human. Still, since she's been able to get away from Piltover's best sniper and someone with the superhuman physique that Vi has, she most likely can run much faster.

Boomstick. Well, I used to be able to run from the cops like that too, back when I had two real legs. They NEVER caught me during those days.

Wiz: You know, the more we talk Jinx, the more similarities I start to see. I might need to get a DNA test ready

Boomstick: He he. Yeah, she's a good kid. But she's young, so she has some demons to work out. Like how she'll try not to learn the difference between right or wrong, since it couldn't keep her attention. She even tried to blow up what she thought was a physical manifestation of her conscience. Though, he was actually a furry guy who loved bombs as much as she does.

Wiz: Goes to show that Jinx really does live up to her name as the loose cannon.

"I'll give you until the count of--TIMES UP!" -Jinx.

Intermission[]

Harley QuinnGet jinxed

Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set and we've run the data through all possibilities.

Boomstick: It's time for a DEATH BATTLE!!!!!

Death Battle[]

("Cues: Clown Fiasta - N/A Artist")

On a busy night in downtown Gotham, brave or stupid criminals are taking their chances to commit their crimes while the caped crusader is on duty. But with Batman and the police as busy as they were, there were some places practically unguarded.

Such as jewelry store that Harley Quinn had her eyes on. After parking her car in a handicap zone, she jumped out of the car while carrying the things she planned on bringing for the robbery.

"Baseball bat: check. Gun: Check. Burlap sack with a dollar sign: Check. Alright, let's get this show on the road!"

KABOOM!

Before Harley had a chance to break in, an massive explosion was expelled through the front door, sending the entire building on fire startled Harley. As the store burned, Jinx struts out the exit as she spun her pigtail, seemingly ignoring the fire as she exited with a smile.

Naturally, Harley was angry. "Hey, what's the big idea? I was about to rob that place!" She yelled as she pointed her gun. "You better give me whatever you managed to steal, or else!"

"Oooooh, you like violence too?" Jinxed asked as she pointed her zapper at Harley. "Pow-Pow likes violence too! This isn't Pow-Pow mind you, but he likes it!

With both of their guns pointed at each other, Harley Quinn and Jinx were ready to...

FIGHT!

Right at the get-go, Harley began emptying out her pistol as Jinx began running around Harley in a circle, firing off her zapper as she started to laugh manically, missing Harley as she avoids the shocks. Harley began to do the same as she fired her pistol off, but in similar fashion, kept missing Jinx.

"Let's get wild!" Harley yelled as she pulled out a second pistol and fired a barrage of bullets, which chased Jinx down the flight of stairs.

When she got to the bottom, Jinx grabbed her minigun began spinning the barrel. "Bring it on, roadkill!"

As bullets were spraying out of Pow-Pow, Harley made cartwheels and backflips to jump out of its line of fire. With the minigun constantly firing, Harley was forced to jump away from the bank and behind her car for cover. Luckily for her, Jinx fired away from the car after passing it and became more interested in shooting anything indiscriminately.

"And I just got it painted." Harley said, upset that her car was covered with bullet holes. Still, she kept focused, grabbed her bazooka from the car, and aimed it at Jinx. "Hey, I got big guns too, you crazy bitch!"

Seeing the bazooka got Jinx excited, and retaliated by switching from her minigun to Fishbones. "Ooooh, explodey gun time! Ready, fishbones? I think you two should stop fighting and work out your differences in a friendly manner. Oh, who asked you?"

Both fired off their rocket launchers as the same time and responded to the other's. Harley abandoned her car before it got it by Fishbone's rocket, barely escaping the resulting explosion. Jinx ran in Harley's direction after firing, and while Harley's rocket didn't land a direct hit, it still landed close enough behind her to get caught by the blast, sending Jinx flying towards Harley.

As Jinx became the next projectile to get launched at Harley, she answered by leaping up in the air and hit the airborne Jinx with a drop kick, sending her rolling on the road. After she stopped rolling though, Jinx jumped right back onto her feet.

"Hehe. This is fun. You having fun? I'm having fun!" Jinxed announced. "Let's play more!"

"Fine. Let's play baseball." Harley as she took raised her bat."

"OOOH! Okay! Catch!"

Pulling the pin from a grenade, Jinx flung the it like a baseball at Harley, who instinctively swung it her bat, sending the grenade halfway back to Jinx before exploding, creating a a temporary smokescreen. Once again, Jinx began firing her minigun without worrying about aiming, but this time, a few bullets managed to hit Harley in the arm, but this just made her mad.

As Jinx continued to fire blindly in the smoke, she was shocked when she saw Harley leaping from the smoke and swung her bat down on her head, breaking the bat in one swing. Harley then pulled out one of her guns and aimed it at Jinx's head.

Unfortunately, the gun she aimed was one that fired a cork, which bounced off of Jinx's head. Without thinking to much about her mistake, she threw the gun itself at Jinx's head as well. As Harley was about to throw a punch, Jinx took out her zapper and jammed it in Harley's stomach, electrocuting her at point-blank range.

While Harley was rooted in place though, she wouldn't stop fighting, grabbing onto Jinx's arms during the electrocution to shock her as well. During the entire experience, both laughed in joy rather than screaming in pain. The fun didn't last forever though, as after awhile, the zapper was overloaded by it own electric shock, causing it to explode right in-between Harley and Jinx.

As a result of the blast, both girls were sent flying in opposite directions, with Jinx thrown through a a window of a building, where Harley bounced off of parked car before rolling back on the ground, taking some damage from the fall, but was otherwise okay, as she got back up to her feat rather quickly. Still, this did mean that she lost sight of Jinx.

"Well, that was fun." Harley said after getting up. "Alright, Snowwhite. Where did you run off to?"

As she took a step forward, Harley backed off quickly as blast appeared right in front of her. In the distance, she saw Jinx standing on top of the building with her rocket launcher out, firing a second shot at the distant Harley.

"Fishbones liked ya! He wants to be friends! I want you and that girl to get along. He wants to see you on fire!"

With a barrage of rockets raining down, Harley charged forward actively tried to avoid the attack the best she could. When Harley reached the base of the building Jinx was on, the rockets briefly stopped coming. During this time, Jinx prepared for the next rocket to be her Super Mega Death Rocket to end it.

"Okay, here's the best part!" Jinxed announced. But when she took aim, she discovered that Harley wasn't on the ground. "Wait, where's she go? Was she not real after all?"

Having turned away for just a moment, Jinx pondered where Harley had gone. Fortunately, the mystery was solved after Harley leaped from the railings on side of the building and landed an uppercut right on Jinx's chin, knocking her down as Harley leaped up to the roof. She had also decide to bring her favourite mallet to the fight.

Jinx still chose to use her rocket, but was hit by a swing of Harley's mallet before she could fire. After landing several swings across Jinx, Harley was ready to end it as well.

"FOOOUUR!!!!!!" Harley said as she swung her hammer as hard as she could, sending Jinx flying through the sky. "Haha! A slam dunk!"

Satisfied with how hard she hit Harley placed mallet on her shoulder as she pondered how big of a splat Jinx would make. However, as she stepped forward, she failed to notice the flame chompers on the ground, which bit into Harley's feet upon stepping on them, not realizing it until she was already rooted in place.

Seeing this, the airborne Jinx took out her rocket launcher once more, still armed with the Death Rocket, aim, and fire. "Bye bye!"

Seeing the oncoming rocket with a large smile painted on it, all Harley could do was nonchalantly say..."Ah...poop-in-butts..."

As the Super Mega Death Rocket made contact, both Harley and the roof of the building was engulfed with a massive puff of smoke as the floor was completely leveled. Further away from the building, the flying Jinx had finally reached the ground, landing back first the road.

"That...was...AWESOME!" Jinx shouted with joy, completely shrugging off the pain before getting up. "Okay...on to the next flammable thing."

Results[]

K.O!

Boomstick: Yeah, heavy explosives like those are the reason why I'm not afraid of clowns no more.

Wiz: Harley certainly was well armed in her own right, but her arsenal certainly paled compared to Jinx's weaponry overall.

Boomstick: One had some pistols, one a minigun. One had a rocket launcher, one had a much better rocket launcher. One had some bombs, one had a LOT of bombs Sure, Harley technically had a more diverse set of options, but Jinx's was simply more deadly as a whole. It's like bringing knives to a gunfight.

Wiz: Still, while Jinx had the advantage in range combat, Harley had plenty of advantages for close range. Her acrobatics in particular meant she was more than capable of closing in the gap and fight on her terms.

Boomstick: Yeah, and both of them may carry similar amounts of weight regularly, Jinx has never personally shown to lift anything as like Harley's 600 pound hammer. Or say...throw an entire person in the air like Harley has with Joker. But...just because Harley can chase after Jinx, it doesn't mean she really had any ways of landing meaningful damage on her. Keep in mind, Jinx has survived encounters with the punch happy vault breaker, Vi.

Wiz: For reference, Vi herself is stated to weigh 8,140 pounds with her gauntlets, which would mean that the gauntlets themselves weigh around 8,000 pounds, or 2 tons each. Even if we lowball her strength and assume Vi punches with the same amount of speed as Harley swinging her hammer, it would still mean that Jinx was taking hits from something more than six times heavier than Harley's hammer.

Boomstick: But it wasn't just because Harley didn't have the strength to put Jinx down. She really didn't have many ways to keep the maniac pinned down. Not only does Jinx have the speed that could keep up or even outrun Harley, but with her zapper and flame chompers, she had more than one way to keep her distance from Harley, even when things get close and personal.

Wiz: And while Harley certainly has some durability and healing feats, a barrage of bullets and rockets would be a bit more than what she's ever had to take on, and with a much lighter arsenal of weaponry in comparison, there were very few options left for her.

Boomstick: The clown princess of crime is as scary as they come, but loose cannon was simply too fast, too tough, too well-armed, and too batshit crazy to handle. I'm sure Harley would've been a bit luckier though if she didn't get Jinxed, but in the end, got hammered.

Wiz: The winner is Jinx.

Description[]

DC Comics vs League of Legends! The road to creativity passes so close to the madhouse and often detours or ends there, but these two have blown straight through it! Which wild, chemically-enhanced maiden of mayhem will come out on top?

Interlude[]

Wiz: Far too often, innocent young souls are taken in by those seeking to corrupt them for their own purposes, turning a promising life into a violent tool under their control. But once they’re free from this manipulation, do they choose the righteous path, or do they forge their own name in the history books for their destructive villainy?

Boomstick: These two definitely chose the latter. Just add in a touch of crazy, chemical enhancement, some colourful criminal chaos, and voila! But when faced with a shift in the path of their life, do they stick to their guns or break away?

Wiz: Harley Quinn, former psychotic psychiatrist turned standout superheroine from DC Comics.

Boomstick: And Jinx, the Loose Cannon and explosion expert extraordinaire from League of Legends.

Wiz: Another thing to mention; since Harley’s first appearance was in Batman: The Animated Series, not the comics, her primary sources for analysis shall be both the comics and the DC animated universe. Any additional appearances like Injustice or the Arkham series for will be used as secondary sources, as long as they match canon.

Boomstick: Jinx is also in a curious spot. Since League of Legends has no prime besides its debut, the game will be the main focus for analysis, with other material such as Arcane and Legends of Runeterra being used as secondary sources. And with that out of the way, he's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armour and skills, to find out who would win... a Death Battle.

Harley Quinn[]

Wiz: At first, Harleen Quinzel’s future looked bright. A proud Brooklyn resident, she was beyond talented, expressing herself through gymnastics and her fascination with criminal psychology. The psychiatry major graduated with honours from Gotham University, and eventually found herself a job as a psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum, the mental institution for Gotham City’s most deranged and disturbed patients. Unfortunately, it would also be where she walked down a path of destruction and despair.

Boomstick: One fateful day, Harleen was a therapist to the Clown Prince of Crime himself, the Joker, and to say she was smitten would be an understatement. This was the first of the Joker's many manipulations, leading Harleen to see a warped reflection of herself through him. Culminating in her breaking him out of prison, but not without some bloodshed along the way. And as one last ritual to seal their newfound connection, Joker took her to the vat of chemicals responsible for his claim to fame, and pushed her in.

Wiz: Her skin now bleached white and eccentric nature turned to disconnected lunacy, she joined him on his life of crime, descending into love-like madness. Dr. Harleen Quinzel was dead, but in her place was born the fantastic Harley Quinn. Together, Harley and the Joker wreaked all kinds of havoc across Gotham City, and though they would be foiled time and time again by Batman, it seemed that nothing could break up the chaotic power couple.

Boomstick: But she wouldn’t be equipped for all of her maniacal mayhem without a bunch of weapons. She’s taking on the goddamn Batman after all – you’ve got to be prepared. So Harley’s got her iconic mallet, perfect for caving in walls or skulls, and her classic pop-gun. While it may seem like an ordinary pop-gun, it can carry a wide range of ammo, ranging from simple corks to bullets and outright explosives. And it packs a punch too, bouncing off surfaces and able to knock out several armed guards with body armour.

Popup: During Harleen’s chemical dip, her mind created the Harley Quinn persona for the Joker, whilst locking away her own persona as Harleen Quinzel within the recesses of her consciousness. She would deal with this identity crisis through her obsession in a bid to truly define herself and find the answers she sought, but discovering her purpose in life is something she would be forced to confront later down the line.

Wiz: Speaking of armour, Harley often wears a Kevlar vest for protection against high-calibre rounds, even those shot by the lethal marksman Deadshot, though she herself wields many firearms in combat. Assault rifles, submachine guns, sniper rifles, shotguns, gatling guns, rocket launchers, flamethrowers; you name it, she’s got it. She’s so proficient with their use that she can even dual-wield them! She’s no slouch up-close though, with her array of knives, baseball bats and plain hand-to-hand combat skills. Given her background in gymnastics, she is extremely flexible and acrobatic, on par with the likes of Nightwing or Catwoman, and has even given Batman a hard time.

Boomstick: Besides more conventional weaponry, Harley has the kind of wacky gear you’d expect from the right hand lady of the Joker. Punch glove guns, acid flowers, the Zillion Volt Yo-Yo which can knock out a person in a second, a taser buzzer, confetti bullets that constrict and trap foes, sleeping gas bombs potent enough to knock out Wonder Woman, a pogo stick with rockets on it – a bunch of crazy stuff! Hell, she’s even got a mind control gun and a poison given to her by Poison Ivy called Special Chemical B, both of which put the foe under Harley’s complete control. Even weirder, she has a poisonous gas she can produce from her mouth that can knock you out in a second.

Wiz: Harley also carries a variety of syringes that can induce various effects on whoever they are administered to. Paralysis inducers, truth serums and tranquilizers are among the most commonly used. Harley also has a jetpack and several different kinds of explosives. Not to mention smoke bombs, with which she’s adept enough to completely escape Batman’s sight within a few moments. And being stealthy enough to escape the world’s greatest detective is no small feat, given that he, and other Bat Family members, frequently evade the notice of heroes with enhanced senses, such as Kryptonians like Superman and Supergirl.

Boomstick: But her most deadly piece of equipment is a lot more subtle. Like the Joker, Harley also has access to the Clown Prince of Crime’s signature Joker Venom, a deadly gas that puts its victims in a peal of hellish laughter to the point of quite literally dying of laughter, or a coma, for the non-lethal version. It’s so potent that high-ranking members of the Justice League like Superman, Wonder Woman, and The Flash have all been affected by it. Even Batman has been caught by its deadly effects!

Popup: Harley formerly owned two pet Hyenas named Bud and Lou, which she could call upon to attack and maul her opponents. However, she would be forced to kill them during the events of the Joker War storyline when they were forcefully turned against her.

Wiz: Harley is extremely versatile with how she can implement the use of the deadly venom, spraying it from a gas can, shooting gas rounds from her pop-gun, launching gas grenades or injecting it directly into her victim either through syringes or a needle on her finger. And after years of inhaling Joker’s toxins, as well as exposure to Poison Ivy’s chemicals, Harley’s immune system has become all but immune to poisons and toxins, with only the most potent and deadly being able to affect her. Most notably, Scarecrow’s Fear Toxin, but even then, she’s shown resistance to it.

Boomstick: And while guns and toxins are incredibly dangerous, what most people never see coming from Harley is her genius intellect. Not only was she valedictorian of her high school class, a graduate with honours from Gotham University, and a fully-fledged doctor with a PHD, but she’s frequently proved to be able to match, and even outsmart Batman at times, who has an IQ of 192! If the goddamn Batman says that you’re unpredictable, you’d damn well better believe it! Hell, Bruce Wayne even decided to fund her research into the study of mental illness as a survival mechanism, so you know she’s hella smart.

Wiz: Harley is a genius when it comes to the battlefield, to the point where she can expose her foes' emotions and goals, aided by her experience as a psychiatrist. She knows precisely how to understand and exploit the mental weaknesses of people, even those with whom she’s unfamiliar, and did just that in the Heroes in Crisis storyline, outwitting and escaping Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. She’s tortured Flash and Lobo, tamed Swamp Thing and was even able to deduce the identities of Green Arrow and Shazam.

Boomstick: But on the flip side, when Harley is willing to let everything loose, she can enter her Psychosis or Mayhem Modes. The former heightens her senses to the extent of allowing for infrared sight and the ability to see through walls, highlighting things which she can use to her advantage, similar to Batman’s Detective Mode. Though prolonged use can drive her crazy and make her mind cluttered. And with the latter, Harley accepts the madness and goes into a berserk state, letting her body do the killing. This increases her speed and strength significantly, though it does have a time limit.

Popup: Harley also possesses a healing factor, capable of regenerating from bullet wounds in mere moments, as well as having her throat and wrists cut open. Harley has been run over, electrocuted, shot in the gut, and was capable of healing from all of these wounds. In some continuities, this is due to an injection given to her by Poison Ivy, but she should possess this regenerative ability regardless.

Wiz: Joker and Harley’s wild lifestyle would lead them into plenty of confrontations with the Bat Family and several of their associates during their escapades. And the fact that they can consistently fight off and harm the Dark Knight is nothing short of impressive, given that Batman survived being in the epicentre of an explosion that decimated part of Gotham and left only a crater. Measuring the size of the explosion compared to the crater left behind and assuming pulverization, he would’ve had to tank a blast worth around 6.15 Kilotons of TNT!

Boomstick: She’s ripped trees straight from the ground, broken out of Killer Croc’s grip, and sent this massive alien flying with just a punch! And she’s just as good taking a hit as she is giving one. Harley’s tanked being smashed out of several storey buildings just fine, being ran over, electrocuted, hit with gravity so strong it left a crater, tons and tons of explosions, and survived Power Girl pulling her out of orbit so quickly she parted clouds, and then nearly took a fall from that height completely fine! Hell, she’s even taken blasts of lightning from Static, who can throw lockers into orbit in seconds!

Wiz: And Static’s stronger than the cryokinetic metahuman, Permafrost, who was able to create a snowstorm that covered a turnpike for miles. Even assuming a single mile, the energy she’s need to perform such a feat is over 132.73 Kilotons of TNT. Not only has Harley fought Static evenly, but she’s taken and avoided direct blasts of lightning from him, so she should definitely scale. But heroes aren’t the only people she’s fought. She’s gone toe-to-toe with Deathstroke, who fought Gunfire evenly, a metahuman who was able to shoot a beam through the core of the earth. A feat worth more than 274 kilotons of TNT!

Boomstick: Now, Harley’s probably not as strong as Gunfire, but the fact that she can hold her own against comparable characters definitely speaks to her strength. When it comes to speed though, Harley is just as impressive. She’s dodged lightning, lasers and beams of light, plus, constantly fights characters who’s done the same. Batman, Batgirl and Black Canary all being prime examples, especially Black Canary, who was able to attack in the nanosecond that it took Wonder Woman to readjust her staff during a training match. To do so, Canary would’ve had to move at speeds over 4.3 times faster than light!

Popup: Harley often utilises her incredible gymnastics skills and intellect to outmanoeuvre her opponents and use the environment to her advantage. Harley’s gymnastics skills are so great that she is capable of suspending herself completely horizontally with just her fingers and toes. Additionally, her gymnastic skills have been stated to be greater than that of an Olympic athlete, and is comparable that of Dick Grayson, who can backflip four times in a single jump.

Wiz: But all good things must come to an end. For as smart as Harley was, she was unable to see that Joker had just been using her. He physically and emotionally abused her, and would not hesitate to use her as a scapegoat for his crimes. Finally, after years of torment and delusion, her devotion to the supervillain waned. Reaching a breaking point, Harley saw the toxic relationship she was stuck in, and left Joker for good, becoming adrift in the world. She tried her hand at establishing herself as her own crime boss, and would eventually be arrested by Black Canary, put on Death Row at Belle Reve prison for her crimes.

Boomstick: But it was here that she would be forcefully inducted into Amanda Waller’s Task Force X program, otherwise known as the Suicide Squad. And turns out, she was a natural, and one of the most effective members to ever join the squad, playing a vital part in bringing down the metahuman terrorist organization Basilisk, containing a zombie virus outbreak, and taking down the Enchantress and Starro the Conqueror in the DC Extended Universe, or Earth-1. Eventually, she’d free herself from Waller’s control, and went on to form the Gotham Sirens and Birds of Prey alongside fellow DC super women.

Wiz: And Harley would find herself forming new, genuine friendships within these teams, forming an especially close bond with Poison Ivy, who she’d go on to date. In the alluring botanist, she found someone who would value her for her, and treat her right. Together, they were each able to help the other through their issues, and for once, Harley had a positive romantic relationship, but the good changes didn’t stop there.

Boomstick: With the direction her life was going, Harley was forced to re-evaluate what she really wanted to be, and if the path she’d been walking was the one she wanted to continue down. She’d seen how her life had turned around, the error of her previous ways, and the positive impact she’d made, along with the fact that she actually really enjoyed helping out the good guys. So much so that she realised that she wanted to be one of them, and though it would take a lot of time and effort, she dedicated herself to changing her ways, seeking redemption for her past actions.

Popup: For a time, Harley was chosen to wield a Green Lantern Power Ring, and was capable of bearing two fused Lantern Rings simultaneously. While only temporary, the fact that she was selected to be a Green Lantern speaks to her indominable willpower and heroic nature. Additionally, she was also able to take down a Black Lantern with the assistance of Poison Ivy.

Wiz: Working alongside several hero teams to take down various criminal threats, Harley was able to gradually establish herself as a genuine superheroine, and is responsible for many accomplishments in her new field of work. She uncovered the mystery of the Sanctuary hospital massacre, rescued Bruce Wayne from a kidnapping, and joined Batman and the rest of the Bat Family during the Joker War storyline, becoming a staunch friend, ally, and practically extended member of theirs. She even became Jason Todd’s psychiatrist and was an invaluable ally as they took on Joker and his new sidekick, Punchline.

Boomstick: She tried talking sense into Joker’s new follower, but Punchy wasn’t having any of it, and Harley had to beat the shit out of her. That must’ve felt just therapeutic. But not as therapeutic as shooting Joker through the eye! Now that’s payback! Nice one Harls! And out of everyone, she was the one to finally get through to Batman that he shouldn’t save Joker – not after everything he’s done. And Batman listened, leaving Joker to perish in the flaming remains of his failed takeover of Gotham as he took Harley to safety.

Wiz: With Joker dealt with, Harley is finally able to move on with her life, continuing her journey of redemption and living life the way she wants to – still a little wild, but far more stable. Even from a young age, that’s all she really ever wanted; the freedom to be able do as she pleased and live a happy life. But if anyone tries to threaten the things she and others hold dear, you can bet the redeemed defender of Gotham isn’t gonna let it slide.

Boomstick: With her new career as a superhero, hero friends by her side, loving girlfriend to support her, and tragic past put behind her, there’s nothing holding back the fantastic and passionate Harley Quinn. At last, she’s finally on the path to the bright future she always looked forward to.

Harley Quinn: I'm going to kill you. For everything you've done to me. All the times you've made me feel useless and small. For all the times I will never forget. For all the things I can never forgive.

Jinx[]

Boomstick: The world of Runeterra is a wonderous fantasy land home to advanced technology, arcane magics, and legendary champions. However, on its northern shores are two cities locked in political conflict. For years, the utopian city of Piltover has exploited the undercity of Zaun, forcing workers into unsafe conditions, leaving the poverty-stricken to rot, and brutalizing the populace with terrifying police enforcers. So basically just like New Jersey.

Wiz: But for the lives of two sisters, Powder and Violet, Vi for short, everything they knew would be turned upside-down when the revolutionaries of Zaun would attempt a rebellion against Piltover, culminating in a devastating battle that claimed countless lives on both sides. The sisters and their parents would find themselves trapped in the middle, where Vi and Powder’s parents would give their lives protecting their children. But the leader of the revolutionaries, a kind man named Vander, would find the girls, saving them and taking them in as his own.

Boomstick: Forced to live off the slums of Zaun, Pow-Pow and Vi had to scrape by through petty theft and living off of Vander, but both were still hopeful for a better future, even through all of this. As the older sister, Vi would leader Powder and her friends on heists to steal from Zaunites, eventually moving up to the citizens of Piltover. Desperate to prove herself, Powder would often cause problems for the gang whenever she joined in, and on one of these missions, Powder’s bad luck caused some catastrophic damage, accidentally blowing up part of a building, forcing them to hightail it out of there and back home.

Wiz: Even losing the stuff they could grab, Vi’s friends were getting fed up with Powder jinxing every mission. Conditions would only worsen when Piltover enforcers were sent down to find the criminals responsible, and to make matters worse, some were being manipulated by the cunning drug kingpin, Silco. See, while Vander wanted to create peace between Zaun and Piltover, Silco was tired of Vander’s passive nature, and wanted Zaun to be its own independent nation, free from the control of Piltover. His methods were a lot more violent than Vander’s, working with the scientist Singed to create a drug called Shimmer, which would enhance the user, though at the cost of sanity.

Popup: Jinx and Vi were not officially confirmed to be related until Arcane released, though it was implied to be the case. Additionally, Vi currently suffers from amnesia in the game, and Jinx has taken it upon herself to try and trigger her memories.

Boomstick: So Silco set his plans into motion, kidnapping Vander and luring Vi and her friends to his warehouse, where he would sic his drugged-up shimmer monster people on the gang, but Vi fought them off valiantly as they rescued Vander. Powder however was told to stay at home while everything was resolved, but she wanted to help everyone out and be useful, so she snuck out and figured out a way to replicate the building explosion from before, this time in an attempt to save the people she cared about. But everything went just about as you’d expect. Her explosion ended up hurting Vi and Vander, killing her other friends, and leading the enforcers right to them.

Wiz: Vander gave his life saving Vi, and when she alone emerged from the tragedy that just befell her, things weren’t looking great for the sisters. Vi lashed out at Powder, calling her a jinx and leaving her alone as she was knocked out and abducted by the lead enforcer, taking her to Stillwater Prison as the crying Powder was left utterly broken and alone. But it was here that she was found by Silco, who saw himself in the young girl. The father she wanted rather than the one she needed, he took Powder in as his own daughter, and gave her a new name and identity better fitting her nature: Jinx.

Boomstick: Years went by and Jinx made a name for herself as a high-ranking criminal, responsible for numerous crimes of theft and murder. But while she seemed joyful in her craft, Jinx was still deeply troubled by the sorrows of her past and the memory of her sister. This left her mentally deranged and unpredictable, but Silco managed to keep her in check, enlisting her work as his most trusted member. And you’d best believe she’s equipped with all the tools necessary for an agent of chaos… and Silco.

Wiz: She can slow down foes with her Zappershot pistol, and take them out with her regular one. Her explosive Flame Chompers detonate upon contact with an enemy Champion, and the Chomper Grenade variant clamps down and attaches itself to foes, and has a remote controlled detonation. Jinx can even speak through them due to additional audio capability. But her most deadly weapons would be her Pow-Pow minigun and Fishbones rocket launcher. The former of which fires shots at exceedingly fast speeds, and this only increases the longer Jinx keeps firing, and the latter of which she can use to rocket herself into the air, and even jump around on like a pogo stick.

Popup: Due to the nature of League of Legends items and Runes being fully customizable, they will not be included in this analysis. Jinx does not canonically use these in any additional media, and though Riot Games provides a suggested loadout guide, it is only to help players in the game’s meta, and is not an indication of a canonical kit Jinx has access to.

Boomstick: But that’s not all our explosive expert has in store! See, despite her lack of schooling and her tenuous grip on reality, Jinx is actually a really skilled engineer, and all of her gear is custom-made. When Silco has a mechanical problem, she’s the go-to. Jinx is so good that she was able to understand the complex science and mathematics required to recreate Hextech, funky science powered by magic crystals. She uses these babies to power stuff like her handheld teleportation device, which allows her to teleport to a bunch of different locations, though it doesn’t always work.

Wiz: The past eventually caught up to her though, as Caitlyn Kiramman got Vi out of prison in a bid to help her out with a case she was working on Silco. This took them to Zaun, where Jinx heard of Vi’s return, and the sisters finally reunited after their years-long absence. But even though they reunited, they couldn’t fully reconcile, and Jinx wasn’t sure that she could trust Vi anymore, definitely not helped by the haunting voices in her head. Seeing her sister working with one of those stuck-up Piltover elites only worsened matters, and this led to their continuous game of cat and mouse. Jinx causing trouble, Vi trying to reign her in, you know how it goes.

Boomstick: Jinx would prove to be an excellent rival, able to keep pace with other skilled Champions like the bullet-dodging Ekko, and could survive the worst of Zaun’s toxic environments, which can kill a normal person in minutes. Plus, Jinx has these mechanical butterfly moth things modelled after Zaun’s very own Firelights that can trigger miniature explosions. Now, one on its own might be fine, but a whole swarm of them was enough to take out an entire squadron of Piltover guards during a battle on the connecting bridge between Zaun and Piltover. Y’know, the place where she lost her parents? Yeah, she killed a father there. Some sad poetic irony…

Wiz: Jinx would throw down with her old best friend-turned leader of the Firelight Gang, Ekko, and was caught in an explosion that left her on death’s door. Silco rushed her to the Zaun doctor Singed in an attempt to save her life, though this would involve injecting her with an extremely large amount of a substance called Shimmer. The main drug that Silco developed and exported, it does more than simply addict the user. First and foremost, it enhances the body’s physical strength, and if you ingest enough of it, it can turn you into a hulking monster. Though Jinx was able to survive the operation, she was permanently changed.

Popup: Silco requires frequent injections of Shimmer into his eye in order to fight off Zaun’s river toxins that entered his blood and nervous system. This does not stop the effects, nor does it cure him, but does continue to hold it at bay.

Boomstick: Not into a beast of a man like with Deckard and Vander years prior, but instead her biochemistry was permanently altered, boosting her speed and strength dramatically, and leaving her eyes stuck on purple. It offers the user some regenerative capabilities and a resistance to toxins, but greatly increases aggression. Even worse, it also intensified her prior trauma, making her much more unhinged and prone to attacking with lethal intent. So it’s got its ups and downs, but Shimmer-enhanced individuals have frequently shown to be able to match Champions like the mountain-shaking Braum, the ballin’ Dunkmaster Darius, or Vi and her vault-shattering gauntlets.

Wiz: Given how often Vi and Jinx come to blows, it’s completely reasonable to compare them, especially since Jinx can tank her sister’s punches mostly fine. And keep in mind that Vi’s gauntlets weigh over 4,000 pounds each! Not to mention Braum’s mountain-shaking punch, which would require around 25 kilotons of TNT to pull off, or Dunkmaster Darius no-selling a basketball crashing toward him that violently fragmented all of the area around him. Measuring the size of the area affected and the height of the explosion itself, we can estimate Darius survived an explosion worth nearly 106 Kilotons of TNT! As expected from the world’s leading authority on dunking.

Boomstick: Not to mention that Darius, sadly not as the Dunkmaster this time, was able to move in tandem with Leona’s sunlight. Given the distance he moved in the time it took the light to hit the ground, it’d require reaction speeds of 0.32 times the speed of light! And Jinx has fought Kennen, who’s stated to be lightning fast, as well as Jayce Talis, who could react to Viktor’s Death Ray, which moves at light speed, so it’s definitely consistent for her. She’s also pretty comparable to another Champion called Lux, but we’ll come back to her soon.

Wiz: All of Jinx’s other attributes were enhanced by the Shimmer injection as well. She was stealthy enough to infiltrate the Kiramman building and abduct Caitlyn without alerting anyone until the very last second, and skilled enough to pick up some solid street boxing techniques just from watching Vi fight, barely unable to reach her sister’s high score on their training dummy at home. Her marksmanship was also enhanced, as if she wasn’t already extremely precise. Jinx was able to hit six bullseyes on moving targets in a row as a child, and rarely ever misses a shot as an adult, only faltering against opponents faster than she is.

Popup: Jinx once used a sleeping gas trap to knock out Sevika before interrogating her, but this required time to set up, and is not something Jinx normally carries or utilises. She does have a gas mask on hand though, which protects her from the gas’ effects.

Boomstick: So with her new purple drug boost, Jinx was able to capture Caitlyn, Silco and Vi, bringing them to a faux family dinner, where she had to decide between going back to being Powder or staying as Jinx. Vi insisted that she could still be trusted, and that things could go back to the way they used to be, but Silco said otherwise, and Caitlyn was just trying to escape. It all culminated in a mental break, where, morally strained and pushed to the brink of insanity, Jinx completely lost it, and wrenched her mini-gun from Caitlyn, opening fire on the voice she heard.

Wiz: Unfortunately for Jinx, that was Silco. But even in his dying moments, he insisted that she was perfect as she was now, and that he would always love her as his daughter. No matter what happened now, there was no going back for her, not after her father’s death. She was too far gone to be Powder anymore, and a fully realised Jinx sat down at the table, shattered and broken. With the Hextech crystal she still had remaining, she began to power her greatest and most powerful weapon; the Super Mega Death Rocket. Firing it at the Piltover Council building during their talks of peace, Jinx left a trail of destruction in her wake.

Boomstick: Jinx’s Super Mega Death Rocket has been powered by both Hextech and its even more volatile cousin, Chemtech! Both can be very explosive, and are comparable in power to natural magic. Not only because it’s magic channelled through science, but it’s been proven time and time again in combat. Like with the light mage Lux, who can cast Lucent Singularity, a spell capable of decimating this area filled with nearly 13,000 tons of rock from 30 meters away! To do so, Lux’s magic explosion would need a yield of about 20 Kilotons of TNT! Not to mention that Lux has an even more powerful spell called Final Spark, which fires a blast of light, and Jinx’s Super Mega Death Rocket could match it!

Wiz: And Jinx’s strongest Hextech weapons can likely scale to Viego, who caused a large scale earthquake across all of the Shadow Isles by striking the ground, and Janna, who dispersed a large fog covering all of Zaun. Feats worth over 82.82 and 322.34 Megatons of TNT respectively. While Jinx likely doesn’t scale to these kinds of feats physically, it’s important to note the kind of power that Hextech and weapons powered by it can wield. But even without power of that magnitude, Jinx was still able to terrorize the city of Piltover for years on end, because in her fragmented mind, she was nothing but a jinx to them all.

Popup: Jinx is an on-the-fly thinker, and prone to making rash and hasty decisions, rather than taking the smart approach. Her blind emotions have allowed smarter fighters like Ekko to catch her off guard, and she has sometimes shown to be unaware of her surroundings. She’s also primarily a ranged fighter, and nearly all of her weapons focus on range instead of close combat, which was a weakness highlighted in Arcane when Ekko overpowered her the moment he got in close.

Boomstick: She destroyed zeppelins, Jumanji-ed the shit out of the local zoo, and even switched the street signs! What a monster! But her violent streak only continued to grow, as did the cost of her damages, and the number of bodies left in her wake. That is, until the day she met a particularly explosive Yordle named Ziggs. Together, they bonded over their mutual passion for destruction, but his was more tempered. Controlled. Thanks to his wisdom, Jinx learned a little bit of restraint and he helped her tone down the wanton violence and recover some of her mental stability. Like some kind of feline-brand Jiminy Cricket!

Wiz: And Jinx would go on to become a Champion in the League of Legends, helping to defeat Karthus alongside Vi, Darius, Blitzcrank, and Lux. As well as taking down Ahri, Camille, Malphite, Braum, and Zed alongside Lux, Blitzcrank, Teemo, and Yasuo. She even killed Silco, Marcus, and Caitlyn in an alternate ending of Legends of Runeterra.

Boomstick: But despite quite literally being on opposite sides of the bridge, Jinx and Vi remained sisters, ultimately still caring about each other in their own way. Jinx even got Vi her childhood teddy back! Aww, that’s sweet. Even if they are at odds more often than not.

Wiz: Jinx may be manic and crazy, with mental and family issues galore to work through, but there’s no denying that she’s become a legend in her own right. So you better believe that when things get boring and uptight, Jinx will be there to shake things up!

Jinx: I thought maybe you could love me like you used to. Even though I’m… different. But you changed too. So here’s to the new us.

DEATH BATTLE![]

Harley Jinx Set

Conclusion[]

If Harley Quinn wins
If Jinx wins

Original Track[]

The track for this fight would be called "Arcane Asylum".

It references the League of Legends series Arcane in which Jinx stars, and Arkham Asylum, a location in Gotham City where Harley worked before her transformation, and has served time in. Additionally, both "Arcane" and "Arkham" sound similar, and it references both characters' sometimes deranged natures.
