Description[]
Naruto vs Danganronpa! When two tools meet on the feild of battle, neither one of them can leave without a stain on their blades!
Interlude[]
Wiz: Haku, mysterious orphan from the Land of Waves and partner to Zabuza Momochi from Naruto.
Boomstick: Peko Pekoyama, Hope's Peak Academy's Ultimate Swordswoman and partner to Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu from Danganronpa.
Wiz: All living beings have a worth to them. Whether it's in how the live and affect to society, to the very people around them who they make life worth living for.
Boomstick: And while these two may just see themselves as a tool for their masters, they'd do anything to make sure they prove they are worthy to stand by their sides whether in death or life. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win, a Death Battle.
Haku unmasks for a DEATH BATTLE![]
Wiz: Within the world of Naruto lies many land of Shinobi, and hailing from the village hidden in the mist, Kirigakure; none are more infamous or deadly than the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist.
Boomstick: With names like that it's a no duh! They were all said to be capable of wiping out nations, besides... LOOK AT THE SIZE OF SOME OF THOSE THINGS! With the ease they swing them around you can tell that they are NOT just compensating for something. And most infamous of them all, was Zabuza Momochi the demon sword of the mist. I mean, shit man... dude just one day walked into a ninja school during the exams, despite not being a student... AND MURDERED EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE OTHER STUDENTS THERE!
Wiz: Needless to say... Zabuza despite his skill, didn't work well with others, quickly becoming exiled from the village and going rogue. From then on dedicating his skills to whoever the highest bidder was... killing any and everyone for the right price... that was... until he discovered a child with a unique Kekkei Genkai.
Boomstick: Well before we get there... let's first explain what those words even mean in the first place! For... you guys...
Wiz: A Kekki Genkai... in simplistic terms... is a natual ability passed down for generations almost like a mutation of sorts. These can often take many forms such as the Uchiha clan's Sharingan, or the Uzumaki clan's innate healing abilities. Which... is honestly a marvel seeing how a mutation of sorts can grow and be mastered throughout being passed on until the unordinary is ordinary...
Boomstick: Well apparently not everyone sees it that way. Meet Haku, who right after discovering his Kekki Genkai of controlling water and ice... witness his father brutally murder his mom right in front of him and almost kill him too! Because for some reason, if you find out your wife and kid have "superpowers" that makes them a freak that has to be slain at all costs! Seriously! Are you not thinking on the GOLDMINE you're sitting on with how many of these super-kids grow up to become super-ninjas?! Questionable parenting aside, you'd be able to profit off of that without having to lift a SINGLE finger!
Haku[]
- Age: 15
- Height: 5'1" | 155.9 cm
- Weight: 95.2 lbs | 43.2 kg
- Blood Type: O
- Descendant of the Yuki Clan
- Was originally going to be a bear in-story
Wiz: Traumatized after well... killing his dad in self defense... Haku wandered off until... he eventually came across Zabuza who immediately took notice of the boy, claiming he had "the same eyes as him", offering Haku to become his weapon...
Boomstick: And the rest is history! Cause guess what? After killing his dad and a whole mob... turns out, Haku was really freaking good at murder! And by getting trained by one of the most deadly ninja in the country? Really helps a lot. While he has used all the normal murder weapons of most ninja like kunai, shurikens, and all that, Haku likes using Senbon more than anything in combat.
Wiz: And given he's a genius with them... being able to temporarily kill someone and bring them back to life. Due to their low killing potential, Senbon are often ignored but, someone with enough knowledge could sue them to incipacitate even the strongest of foes!
Boomstick: Quite the investment, right Zabuza? Oh shit, I almost forgot about the Kekka Genny!
Wiz: Haku's Kekki Genkai allows him to preform Ice Release Jutsu. Through the manipulation of both water and wind based chakra, those descending from the Yuki clan are capable of freely creating and manipulating ice. Just releasing his chakra alone will drop the tempature in the area enough to make it snow!
Ice Release Techniques[]
- Ice Crystal Magic Mirror Technique: Creates mirrors of ice that only reflect Haku. He can freely enter and exit these mirrors.
- Ice Rock Dome of Magificent Nothingness: Creates a dome of ice around him
- Thousand Flying Water Needles of Death: Creates long needles of ice that attack from all around an opponent, leaving an escape route open above and below.
Boomstick: Pretty terrifying when fire doesn't seem to work very well against his ice! Making techniques like his Ice Rock Dome of Magnificent Nothiness a perfect defense against attackers! And his Ice Crystal Maguc Mirror Technique is his bread and butter attack, creatine a large wall of mirros of ice he can freely hop in and out of, that ALSO reflect him. Allowing him to freely attack with needles from almost all sides without any solid way of knowing where he is!
Wiz: It may use up a lot of chakra... but given his percision with Senbon, it makes for a quick and clean way of taking out the vitals of a particularly tough target. Which only adds into his Thousand Flying Water Needles of Death technique's mercilessness. As he creates many long needles of pure ice that attack through reflecting from these previously mentioned mirrors.
Boomstick: Don't be fooled by these openings he gives either. If you try and leave from the opening above, Haku can just leap out of a mirror and strike you while you leave yourself wide open! Heck if he only needs one hand to preform the signs to use this move, meaning he can just as easily pin someone down if he wanted to! Speaking of... Wiz, why is he so obsessed with mirrors?
Wiz: Well... it could simply be, aside from being harder to track due to him being reflected accross the other mirrors, the speed it gives. As official databooks claim using this technique he can move at the speed of light!
Boomstick: I bet that was REALLY impressive for the series at the time. Well before Naruto is dodging those lightspeed loogies, and then everyone else has their own lightspeed feat.
Wiz: Well, it's only natural a series running for over 700 chapters, with multiple official sequels has it's share of... power creep. But even then, Haku is a force to be reckoned with. He's shown to move faster than the eye can see. Bring Sasuke into submission. Has Learned over athousand hand seals. And even nearly crush a guys arm just from his grip alone!
Boomstick: Zabuza even said that Haku was deadlier than he was! Claiming that Kakashi would not be able to beat Haku, would he fall... I don't think I'd agree with that in ANY timeline.
Wiz: I wouldn't disregard Haku for that. Under the right circumstances, Haku might be able to land a fatal blow. After all, he did survive a near lethal attack from a Nine Tails Initial Form Naruto. And this same state of Naruto is able to block the onslaught of a Giant Snake, equating to about 17.92 Kilotons of TNT.
Boomstick: Guess so... But in the end, I guess his greatest strength with his loyalty is also his greatest weakness.
Wiz: He WORSHIPPED Zabuza, valuing the life of the father figure who took him in moreso than his own. The day he promised to become Zabuza's weapon, he threw away any parts of himself that were not dedicated to him. And when he had the choice to finish of his weakened opponents or give his life to protect his master... the bloody weapon of Zabuza finally broke.
Boomstick: Haku DIVED into Kakashi's oncoming attack, giving his life to ensure Zabuza's safety. And like all surprise dads... Zabuza... was broken.
Wiz: Haku died seeing himself as nothing more than a weapon to be used by Zabuza... but... Zabuza, never saw Haku in the same way. Seeing Haku as someone that has surpassed him, throw his potential away to someone already past their prime broke him... perhaps teaching him the importance of human life.
Boomstick: And when the mafia that hired them in the first place decided they were taking too long, and went to finish the job themselves. Zabuza gave his life to kill EVERY last one of them. Declaring that Haku didn't need to go to the trip to Hell alone. Proving in the end, Haku was more than just a weapon.
Peko Pekoyama cuts into DEATH BATTLE![]
Wiz: The concept of talent, is one that has always fascinated me. And to be SO talented that you gain the title Ultimate is even more so!
Boomstick: Well, looks like someone DEFINENTLY agreed to that, as a group of people so obsessed with the ideas of talent formed a whole school dedicated to researching it! Fostering up the talents of youth by giving them special classes SOLELY dedicated to perfecting their talents. Absolutely confirming their success in life.
Wiz: From the Ultimate Baseball Star who can throw a baseball with such force and accurracey it ALWAYS results in a strike. To the Ultimate Martial Artist, who is the STRONGEST human in the world. To the Ultimate Analyst who has a near INVINCIBLE intellegence that borderlines on being able to see the future!
Boomstick: To the Ultimate Writing Prodegy who apparently wrote smut SO good, it made Sailors the hottest men in the country. And some rich kid, who managed to get in PURELY due to nepetisim!
Wiz: Well... not ALL talents are considered equal... but at least they have SOMETHING that makes them Ultimate! Like... for all you know, I could have graduated highschool! I could be the Ultimate Scientist!
Boomstick: Wiz, PLEASE... We all know if you were some sort of Ultimate... you'd talk down to everyone WAY more than you already do. Besides... you probably would have done something MORE with your life than trick me and a bunch of desperate college kids into getting involved in your "totally human experiments for the sake of humanity's future".
Wiz: You know what Boomstick?! I don't even have the TIME or the energy to argue with you right now...
Boomstick: Hoping to cash in on this whole, "Ultimate School thingy", the Kuzuryu clan had their current heir Fuyuhiko admitted as the Ultimate Yakuza.
Wiz: Of COURSE, sending in a foul tempered Yakuza kid would normally spell trouble... and possibley make him a target for anyone seeking ill will against the clan. So of course... they secretly set things up so that Fuyuhiko's personal bodyguard and hitman would join him at the academy.
Boomstick: And so... Peko Pekoyama was scouted out as the Ultimate Swordsman.
Peko Pekoyama:
- Height: 5'6" | 172cm
- Weight: 112 lbs | 51 kg
- Blood Type: O
- Likes: The Color Black, Fuyuhiko, Animals
- Dislikes: Candy
Wiz: Peko's whole life was dedicated to Fuyuhiko. From the very moment she was abandoned on the family's doorstep as a baby, she was literally RAISED to serve him. The two spent their entire lives togethor.
Boomstick: And Peko was MORE than happy to become his tool. Dedicating herself to every single need he might have! Hell, she LITERALLY became the world's greatest swordsman for the SOLE PURPOSE of making absolutely sure she can defend him against any attacker, or killing anyone he wants dead! And while Fuyuhiko was greatful... he was never happy, having her as just a sheild...
Wiz: Anything SHORT of calling her Ultimate might as well be an insult to her abilities. She's practiced and perfected EVERY form of the blade known to man, but even then, she seems to have a prefrence to the studies of kendo. She's even said to be deadlier with a bamboo blade, than most people are with normal blades!
Boomstick: And she LOVES carrying that sword with her everywhere she goes. Whether it's for using standard combat or even for doing some cool ninja tricks! But secretly, the bamboo is there to disguise the fact it's an ACTUAL KATANA! Probably cause she wouldn't have gotten a weapon onto school grounds otherwise...
Wiz: These abilities would serve Peko VERY well, as she and Fuyuhiko enjoyed their school life. Despite agreeing with Fuyuhiko to act like they aren't master and servant... Fuyuhiko remained safe. Even after... his younger sister who got into the reserve course was murdered.
Boomstick: Baby gangsta kinda lashed out... tracking down the bitch who killed his sister, and killed her with a single swing from the bat! But even if he got away scott-free... Peko could tell... bad things were coming...
Wiz: Ohohoho! That is the understatement of the century... As that was only the start of many horrible events that would befall Hope's Peak in that year. From one of the students in their class suddenly disappearing, to the gym of their school being caught in an explosion... and everything got worse when Junko Enoshima entered the school that year...
Boomstick: Peko's mettle was tested better than ever as despair was seeping in. Slowly infecting the school as Junko managed to slowly pick apart at the school in her master plan to spread Ultimate Despair! And this REALLY showed where Peko's strength as the Ultimate Swordsman lies.
Wiz: Peko is capable of moving faster than the human eye can track. Slice through robots made SPECIFICALLY to kill her with relative ease. And is commonly acknowledged as one of the most skilled fighters of her class!
Boomstick: And that is saying SOMETHING. After all, one of her classmates Nekomaru Nidai is capable of... get this! SHITTING SO HARD, it not ONLY blew up the toilet he was using. But even CARVED A HOLE INTO A MOUNTAIN NEARBY THE SCHOOL! Oh let's not even BEGIN to mention what some of the people that AREN'T declared Ultimates can do! Like this Komaru chick, who can dodge Light Speed Attacks with EASE!
Wiz: But Peko's skills would come to the Ultimate Test, as she came face to face with the Ultimate Soldier, Mukuro Ikusaba. The two clashed, and seemed to be on par!
Boomstick: Given that girl can casually move at a point to which machine gun bullets seem frozen in time, and then kick a bear SO HARD, IT F***ING EXPLODES! Means even without ANY weapons, you do NOT want to piss off this chick!
Wiz: Let's examine that feat shall we? Given Mukuro would have to withstand her own kenetic energy of moving this fast... a kick from Mukuro is worth over 170,87 kilotons of TNT!
Boomstick: And Peko was fighting Mukuro at her ABSOLUTE BEST! Even if she did lose in the end...
Wiz: This would mark Peko's first of many failures... as she and the rest of her class then had to bear witness to the murder of their classmate Chiaki Nanami, being brainwashed by Junko into becoming the Ultimate Despair... terrorizing the world and bringing it to complete ruin.
Boomstick: But after Junko... kinda killed herself just for shits and giggles. The Future Foundation took in the Ultimate Despair, sending them to the Neo World Program to try and bring them back to their past selves... And all WAS going according to plan, until BAM! That goddamn bear showed up once again, forcing everyone to murder eachother in an elaborate plan to revive Junko into the bodies of everyone who died!
Wiz: Once again... Peko was at a tough choice... and when memories of thier past life and school began to show up in the form of the murder of a long dead Kuzuryu... Peko acted for what she believed her master wanted... swinging down a bat to the head of Mahiru Koizumi who was an accomplice to said murder, in the same way Fuyuhiko once avenged his sister.
Boomstick: Horrified at this... Fuyuhiko stared in shock. Doing EVERYTHING he could to make sure Peko was ABSOLUTELY safe from prosecution.
Wiz: But Peko had a plan... she would take the full blame but yet, act out as her master's tool yet again. Acting solely for what she beleived was his will... beleiving that if she was just a tool to Fuyuhiko, then Fuyuhiko would get counted as the killer, and upon everyone guessing wrong, he would get to walk free.
Boomstick: But much to the sadness of everyone... Peko was MORE than a tool to Fuyuhiko... and given that either way, she was going to get executed. Fuyuhiko chose to rather than save his own skin... declare Peko was someone he always valued as a person, and was NEVER just a tool... and when Peko was being executed, he ran out to save her...
Wiz: He lost an eye... while Peko lost her life... and being completely broken by what he assumed was her dying forever... Fuyuhiko truly began to change. Becoming friends with the remaining survivors. And doing everything he can to carry the memory of Peko Pekoyama, the person he cared for more than anyone.
Boomstick: And BECAUSE this was all a vitural world... Fuyuhiko was blessed with the chance to save Peko. As they stood side by side no longer as master and tool... but as... really... REALLY... close friends... OH COME ON, JUST KISS ALREADY!
Intermission[]
Wiz: All right, the combatants are set! Let's settle this debate once and for all!
Boomstick: It's time for a DEATH BATTLE!
DEATH BATTLE![]
(Cues: Beautiful Days [Piano Arrangement] - Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair Original Soundtrack)
The sun is beginning to set on Jabberwock Island, as two figures are seen walking on one of the bridges connecting the set of islands together. The view is beautiful, as the two are just simply admiring the view as the sun begins to set.
“Damn… ya know, as much as a pain in the ass it is that we are stuck here for now… ya get used to the views like this.” the shorter of the two says, taking off a pair of sunglasses, revealing an eyepatch over his left eye.
“Yes… young master…” The taller of the two, says, brushing her hair out of her face. Trying to take in the view of the spectacle of nature before her, she stares at the sunset but yet… even then, there is uneasiness in her mind, as her eyes are unable to focus, as she turns to the person besides her and asks, “Young Master, do you still think about what the fate of the Kuzuryu Family is?”
“Peko… please… I thought we agreed. Ever since we came to this island… we don’t have a servant and master relationship. We are equals here. So please. Just call me by my name.” the young eyepatched man says to the girl beside him. He then turns back to her, folding his glasses and putting them into a pocket on his shirt.
“Right… I’m sorry Fuyuhiko…” Peko says to the Ultimate Yakuza besides her. “It’s been such a long time since we agreed but I guess even then… Some part of me still sees myself as your tool.” She nervously says while she grasps at her arms.
“You think, we’ve known each other for so long… but yet it’s only now you get the choice to be your own person. You’re not gonna try to throw your life away as a weapon now, are ya?” Fuyuhiko asks Peko, still concerned for his lifelong friend and partner.
“Yes… but even still. I can find my own purpose, as long as I stand by your side.” Peko exclaims as she smiles greatly. Finding solace even though she may not be a tool for her master.. She can still be a friend to Fuyuhiko, as they now live the rest of their life with the rest of the former Remnants of Despair on Jabberwock Island in peace.
The two are enjoying this moment together but suddenly… the temperature starts to drop around them… almost unnaturally. Peko immediately tenses up with her hand on her bamboo sword as Fuyuhiko tenses up. Both of them due to their lives of violence sensing a violent intent.
(Cues: Unreleased Haku Theme - Naruto Original Soundtrack)
“What the hell?! WHO’S THERE! If you’re here to kill me, why don’t you stop hiding like a little bitch and meet me face to face?!” Fuyuhiko shouts in a tense burst of rage.
Peko meanwhile, is completely silent, only having her blade drawn and prepared. Trying to focus on wherever the attacker might be coming from.
Mist begins to form as a figure slowly walks forward. Any details are hard to tell from their silhouette alone. And even as details become more visible, the only easily noticeable detail is the fact that they seem to be wearing a mask.
“Okay bastard… Do you think that mask makes you look tough or something? The hell do you want from me?!” Fuyuhiko snaps at this figure, turning to Peko to see, she’s already drawn her blade.
“Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu… the Ultimate Yakuza, current head of the Kuzuryu Family, and former member of the Ultimate Despair…” the masked figure says, with a smooth and almost peaceful voice.
“Oh great, you do know who I am… good for you! Now why don’t you make like a leaf and fuck off?!” Fuyuhiko shouts to this masked stalker, clearly showing he’s not one to be intimidated.
“I think we are all smart enough to know why I’m here… after all, in the underworld, there are other crime lords that would pay any price to get the power you currently have at your disposal. Whether it be in men, weapons, drugs, or even something as simple as money.” the masked assailant says as they grab multiple needles from seemingly nowhere. But before anything they calmly state, “However… as it is rude for one to be threatening the life of another without stating their name and intentions… I am called Haku, and I am here to claim your life for the sake of my master’s mission, of eliminating the Kuzuryu.”
Fuyuhiko baring his teeth is about to reach into his pockets to grab a knife… but before he can, he finds that his arm was grabbed by Peko… stopping him as he averts his gaze to her.
“Peko! What are you doi--” Fuyuhiko tries to question but is immediately cut off by Peko as she then states her intentions.
“Run… Something is off about this… ‘Haku’... Something about this assassin is different from the others. Their choice of weapons alone is proof of this, but still. It might be for the best if one of us goes to get help from the others first.” Peko states to him. Fuyuhiko is still trying to reconsider things as he shouts, “But Peko! You don’t have to do this! You are not my tool! You have no reason to try to throw your life away to protect me!”
“I’m not doing this as your tool… Fuyuhiko… I’m doing this because I care about you and your safety. Even then… They said they wanted to help their master eliminate the Kuzuryu. As your former tool… I’m going to be targeted as well. So… if one of us is staying to fight and buy time… I’m the Ultimate Swordswoman. Combat is my specialty.” Peko informs their partner, turning to him as he looks at Peko to briefly reconsider… but then closes his eye to think…
“You’re right Peko… I don’t know what the hell I was thinking! You have your own life, and you are free to make your own choices. And if you choose to help me… Then I can’t stop you. There is something off about this guy, yeah and… if you have full trust in your abilities, then so do I!” Fuyuhiko confirms as he begins to run off. But as he runs off, he shouts to Peko, “MAKE SURE YOU DON’T LET THIS BASTARD KILL YOU!”
(Cues: Battle! Ho-Oh - Pokemon Heart Gold/Pokemon Soul Silver Original Soundtrack)
“Yes… Young Master…” Peko says as she seems to almost change demeanors, completely seeming less like a person as her focus changes. Shifting to Haku as she regresses back… seemingly less like her own person. Despite everything she said to Fuyuhiko before, she once again subjected herself to becoming his tool. Her life is meaningless if she cannot cut down the person in front of her, she begins to think…
Haku seems surprised but focused once again… as he exclaims, “You should have never turned your back on me, Kuzuryu…”
With a swift flick of his wrist, he throws numerous needles towards Fuyuhiko’s direction… but the Ultimate Yakuza doesn’t even look back at the attempt on his life as in the blink of an instant, all the needles hit the ground as they are hit out of the air with a swift strike from a bamboo sword. Peko Pekoyama stands in front of where Fuyuhuko once stood, as multiple needles hit the ground.
The tool of the Kuzuryu, now fully unsheathed, stares down at the heartless weapon of Zabuza as he readies more needles… the two’s gaze meets. No words need to be said, as Peko’s deathly red gaze stares straight through straight into Haku’s. Peering right through his mask as he stares back. His mask may be hiding his face right now… but just as Peko would have probably assumed, the stare he gives back is just as cold and emotionless as the one she gives to him.
Readying her blade, Peko runs up, aiming for a swift swing. But as her bamboo blade arcs over to slam into its target, Haku manages to narrowly leap away. Barely able to avoid the sheer speed of the attack, as the wind from the strike grazes his outfit.
Whilst still in midair, Haku grabs multiple needles and throws them straight towards Peko, piercing her arm with pinpoint accuracy. Peko’s arm seems to slump over as she turns over in shock before regaining her composure. Haku, stands from a small distance away as he stares straight at his foe.
“I can tell you are truly dedicated to your master Pekoyama…” Haku says, with his almost emotionless and cold voice. “You and your master are both fortunate that I am so dedicated to my master Zabuza, that I would rather not desecrate the bodies of those he seeks to claim the lives of. The job of a weapon is to slay a foe as efficiently as possible, anything that won’t be quick and painless is rendered useless, and nothing more than extra…”
Peko closes her eyes and removes the needles from her arm, gaining control of herself again… realizing Haku is targeting pressure points and vitals. She begins to formulate a plan… preparing to fight on the defensive to analyze her opponents fighting style in hopes of finding any weaknesses or openings.
“I too agree with that ideology… but even a weapon will lose its purpose as it soaks itself in blood. It will begin to rust. This is why I am more than a weapon…” Peko exclaims, as she readies herself. As she positions her blade over her face, anticipating an attack, she finishes her thought, stating “Because a tool will be able to be used for more than just rusting in the path of blood it leaves.”
Haku throws more needles but Peko, fully prepared to deflect them, swats the storm of sharpness to the sides of her, and before Haku can prepare to grab more, the Ultimate Swordswoman suddenly appears in a blur, leaving the masked assassin barely any time to react as Peko swings her wooden blade into Haku’s arm.
Haku catches the blade in his arm, both lessening the power of the strike, but also capturing the wooden blade in an attempt to get Peko to stay completely still. But it almost seems like this is exactly what the Yakuza’s Tool planned for as she lifts up one of her legs, and brings it down with great force upon her assailant’s masked face, as he loosens his grip as a result.
Haku’s mask begins to show damage from the attack. But rather than be upset or enraged, Haku mutters out a single word to his foe, “Impressive. Even the blow from the wooden blade hurt even if it was just a feint.”
Peko doesn’t respond back to Haku, as the cold glare from her piercing red eyes says everything that needs to be said… She’s got Haku figured out, and she will NOT be so merciful with this next attack.
Haku notices this and only nods in acknowledgement. Realizing almost any attempt to spam long ranged attacks in the same manner would leave him open for another surprise rush from Peko… it might be best to play on the defensive and save energy. He grabs a few needles in one hand and awaits Peko’s attack.
Peko begins to close the gap, swinging her wooden blade, making great use of the distance her weapon gives her, to give Haku a harder time to counter attack. Rushing with a swift horizontal swing that Haku is barely fast enough to avoid. Then following with a rush of several more, Haku blocks the first one, then parries the following ones allowing him to get close enough in order to land a palm strike into Peko’s stomach.
Peko stumbles back from the attack, and in the single moment she’s off guard Haku uses the needles he grabbed earlier and begins to shove them into Peko’s right arm, disabling its pressure points and causing the Ultimate Swordswoman to drop her blade.
Peko having just barely recovered from the blow to her stomach can just barely react to kick her sword upwards and block an incoming attack from Haku, parrying a chop to her neck as Haku’s hand manages to send Peko’s sword to her left, where she catches it with her open hand.
Haku’s sheer surprise at this maneuver slows their reactions just enough for Peko, only using a single hand to slam her wooden blade into the Assassin's right arm, breaking it in a single blow. He then leaps back to gain distance while he stares straight at Peko, who stares back at him, eager to keep an eye on the other.
Haku uses some medical supplies he has on hand to wrap around his arm whilst he freezes it back into place, as a temporary solution, just until this opponent is felled. Whilst Peko looks at her arm… and despite having lost quite a bit of blood from the wounds she got earlier, with a heavy heart knows she cannot risk only having one arm if she wants ANY chance at protecting her young master. She first puts her wooden blade in her mouth and bites down hard as she removes the needles, taking a bit to get used to using her arm again, as she grips her blade back in her hands determined to end this fight before her body runs dry.
(Cues: Theme Of Uzu Sanageyama Level 3 Bloody Valor - Kill la Kill the Game IF Original Soundtrack)
“Then it seems we're both in agreement Pekoyama…” Haku states as suddenly around them a LARGE dome of ice mirrors appear around the area. Peko looks around at sheer surprise at this supernatural showcase of abilities.
“What… are you…” Peko can barely get out of her mouth, both amazed and fearful of the beautiful ice mirrors Haku seemingly willed into existence.
“You already know… I’m nothing more than a weapon.” Haku states while he simply stands there, as if awaiting an attack.
Peko immediately takes her chance, only to be left in shock as Haku suddenly merges with the wall of ice behind him, causing the assassin to be reflected off of every ice surface in the dome he just made.
“This… can’t be…” Peko murmurs to herself in a small instance of panic. Haku suddenly starts bursting from mirror to mirror as if he has become light itself as suddenly a blizzard of many needles start to flood the area.
Peko stands firm despite the onslaught blocking as many as she can, still standing firm blocking as many… But as the ice needles tear at Peko’s flesh, splattering her blood across the pavement… her sword continues to take more and more damage… with the wood of it cracking and cracking more and more until it breaks into splinters.
The wood that once covered Peko’s blade shatters to the ground revealing the true metal blade hidden by the wood casing as the onslaught stops… Peko is covered in needles and blood yet stands strong regardless, panting and regaining herself despite all pain, looking less like that of a human, and only that of a mindless beast.
This beast stares down its faceless foe as Haku emerges from the mirror, surprised to see Peko is still alive. Whereas Peko stares upwards towards Haku with rage, Haku stares back at Peko with his mask completely concealing any and all emotion that could be speculated to be felt. Whether it be rage, sadness, pity, or simply nothing at all is completely irrelevant in this situation… All that was visible was that he saw Peko as a threat more than ever…
If she was as hard to kill and as powerful as she was just with a wooden sword… Now that her sword’s true blade was revealed, Haku knew that a single slice would be the end of his life. Peko meanwhile struggled to stand… she was losing more and more blood, it’s almost a MIRACLE she’s still alive as is and it was only a matter of time before she bled out from all the wounds she sustained.
No words needed to be exchanged between weapon or tool… Both have given their warnings in words, both have given each other ample time to step back, and now, with both’s true potential revealed… there was no going back until the heart of one of them was forcefully stopped.
Within a fraction of an instant, Peko leapt up to attack Haku, as Haku then retreated into the mirror he emerged from. However, this was all according to the Ultimate Swordswoman’s plan as she swung down her blade and shattered the mirror.
Haku barely had enough time to retreat to another mirror, as he was stunned by Peko’s display of pure strength, even further proving his suspicions on the lethality of that blade.
Peko landed very roughly, at first seeming accomplished with herself despite her injuries… feeling as if she had found a counter to this onslaught, until the mirror reformed much to the despair of the Yakuza’s Tool…
“It seems like it is true what others say… those that fight for the sake of others are the most stubborn, and will refuse to die until they need to. Despite all the pain and suffering you’re in… whether it’s loyalty, admiration, love, or maybe a mix of the three, you still stand where any other person would be dead.” Haku utters from the safety of the mirrors. “Pekoyama… never before have I met a foe I respect so deeply… and never before have I had my back pushed this far against a wall.”
“To think… a murderer’s weapon and a yakuza’s tool could find so much in common, despite having no will of their own… perhaps in another life where we weren’t bound to another, we could have explored that connection… perhaps maybe… we have the ability to make choices for ourselves.” Peko begins to ponder, having put the pieces together in her head after hearing Haku speak to her. With her resolve renewed more than ever she grips her blade ready for one final stand, and declares to her opponent, “But even if that is the case… even if my will is free. As long as you seek to harm Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu. I, Peko Pekoyama, have already declared to myself to protect him. His life is not yours to claim, and neither is mine. For I already belong to him.”
“Then the conclusion we came to long ago still stands… words are meaningless. Like you, I already gave my life to Zabuza Momochi long ago. I am his weapon to be pointed at the enemy he declares. To slay those he swings me towards, anyone else in the way has to unfortunately get cut down as well. And no matter how chipped both of us may be, when two weapons clash, they must continue to do so until one of them breaks. Pekoyama… Let us see which of us breaks in the end.” Haku declares, accepting Peko’s final challenge.
Haku then appears to once again leap from mirror to mirror at the speed of light, with each movement he makes, creating a massive trail of needles of pure ice following him. Peko as this happens closes her eyes to focus… and the moment before the fight onslaught hits, she counters, reacting perfectly to the needles to block most of them whilst she studies Haku’s movement.
The needles that Peko can’t block tear at her skin, digging deeper into already deep wounds as a deep crimson splatters onto the white snow below… Peko kneels in pain at this but her time playing defensive is over… as she noticed one place Haku’s traversal and attacks would never reach, a hole in the top of the dome that was perfect for an escape route.
It was almost too good to be true, it HAD to be a trap… which means, it was the only opportunity where either could be caught at a complete standstill. It was a MASSIVE risk but it was a risk Peko needed to take.
In a fraction of a second, Peko tied her sword’s bag to its hilt to begin her plan of attack. She stabbed the blade into the ground whilst gripping the strap of the bag, and suddenly leapt onto the blade’s hilt using it as a point to jump off, using her bag to bring the blade with her as she leapt into the only escape route.
Haku, not to be caught unaware, leapt up to the opening, being completely ready to take Peko’s life in the middle of her escape attempt.
Haku created some needles out of ice, while Peko readied her sword, and with this one attack… it was over…
SLASSSSSH!!!
Blood hit the ground as the two silhouettes of the weapon and tool passed by each other.
(Music Stops)
A single hand began to fall, having needles gripped closely inside of it… Haku’s mask had finally been broken as a single lethal swipe from Peko’s sword not only cut off his mask and hand, but sliced open his chest and marked his face. The expression that could finally be seen on Haku’s beautiful face was that of shock and sorrow, as his expression alone could tell over a thousand words.
Peko and Haku landed upon the ground, the tool could barely cling onto life whilst the weapon’s life was fading. Gripping her stomach in an attempt to control her bleeding, Peko slowly turned to face her fallen foe, finally getting to see the face of her formerly faceless enemy. She walked over as the snowing stopped, as the tropical sun began to shine over them.

“I… lost… how disappointing” Haku began to say with a gentle smile. It seemed no matter how broken he was, he still kept a gentle composure. Even in his dying moments he still thought of Zabuza, smiling as his eyes faded to white, looking at his victorious rival, stating to her, “You were right… weapons rust… a tool is far more valuable than a rusted weapon. It was only a matter of time before I broke… but now that I am gone, perhaps this means Zabuza can find that tool. A tool that won’t break.”
Peko closed her eyes, she pitied Haku… but yet, she understood him better than anyone else. And even if she didn’t know of this Zabuza Momochi personally, she could more than understand what kind of person he was if there was someone as loyal to him as she was to Fuyuhiko. As Haku was dying… he was shown a rare side to Peko… a side that a tool should never have, especially if that tool was meant for killing.
“No… I don’t think that is what he would want…” Peko said, as a gentle smile formed on her face.
She looked at Haku empathetically as he lived his final moments… It didn’t matter how badly she was bleeding out at this moment. She could not see someone just like her die thinking they were useless. Peko lifted Haku up, and propped him against an edge of the bridge, allowing him to see the sun as it began to set.
“You have been loyal to him for so long… if he is the kind of person you would die for… as well as the kind of person you’d give up your free will to just to please. I don’t know if he ever saw you as just a weapon. You said it yourself… you would give your everything if you had the free will to do so, just to serve him, correct? Then, he must have been someone you cared for deeply. And likely… he cared for you even more than you could imagine.” Peko explained as she rested her hand on Haku’s head. She brushed his hair in a comforting manner, as to ease Haku in his final moments.
Haku may have been an assassin and a killer for what was practically his entire life… But even still, Peko saw herself in him, and saw Haku for who he really was. And above all else… Peko saw Haku as a child… a kid who had willingly given up his life just to serve a single person. It was all too familiar. And if it was up to her… Haku would not die as a weapon.
“You think so… Maybe… He’d never tell me if that were the case but. Even still… Thank you… Peko Pekoyama… I pray that you will manage to protect your master, and get to live the rest of your life alongside him as well…” Haku spoke weakly, barely able to get words out as his life faded. “But promise me… If I don’t die as a weapon, you won’t die as his tool…”
Within that instant, before Peko could ever reply back to Haku… his eyes faded pure white as his heart no longer beat. He died watching the sun set… being comforted… but above all else, he died smiling, knowing in his life he made the person he cared about more than anyone else proud.
Peko got up slowly… Her wounds were severe, her breathing was heavy, she was on the last legs of her life, using her sword to prop herself up as she began to walk down the bridge to see her closest friend yet again… Before she left, she turned to where Haku lay resting, and with a kind smile she looked at him as she replied back, “I promise.”

Boomstick (crying in a very loud manner): No wonder rusty weapons break so easily... it seems like someone's using them to chop onions!
Wiz: This was a VERY deceptively close fight. Haku's battle genius definently made for a tricky opponent, and his jutsus seemed almost unstoppable to any ordinary human.
Boomstick: But Peko isn't just any ordinary human, she's an ULTIMATE! While Haku could move at light speed with his mirrors, given ordinary untrained schoolgirls much younger than Peko could also move at light speed Peko should DEFINENTLY be able to match Haku. Even then, both were fairly skilled, with Peko taking an edge due to not just having trained and fought for longer due to her age in comparison to Haku who's only 15... he started his training while he was a child, Peko has been training her ENTIRE life.
Wiz: Haku is tough, being powerful enough to put and early Sasuke into submission and have his mirrors withstand his fireball jutsus without taking too much damage, Sasuke's fire balls are capable of destruction at around 18.58 tons of TNT! But given Peko can fight Mukuro at her best who's able to unleash worth 78.04 Kilotons... Peko was over four thousand times stronger than Haku!
Boomstick: And when it came to their weapons, Haku's needles may have been able to land a fatal bow if he got a clean hit, but given Peko is just as fast as him, he's not gonna get a clean shot. Meanwhile if Peko got close... it's over. And even then, Haku is only lightspeed when he's traveling with his mirrors, giving Peko more than enough time to land the one hit she needs to end the fight.
Wiz: Haku's tricky abilities and combat genius may have made for a tough opponent... but in the end, Peko was just as fast, and more than strong enough to end this before she got too badly injured.
Boomstick: Haku may have put it all on the line, but up against Peko he ultimately had to wave goodbye.
Wiz: The winner is Peko Pekoyama.
Trivia[]
- The connections between Haku and Peko are that they were young children abandoned by their parents as children that were adopted and raised by criminals (Zabuza and the Kuzuryu clan). Both became professionally trained killers that assist said criminals in their crimes. And despite being their own person, and the one they assist sees them as their most valuable ally… Both only see themselves as a tool for their “master” to use, and will throw their lives away on a whim if it benefits their “master". And both take on the mask of someone else in order to deceive those around them into believing they are someone else (A member of the Anbu Black Ops/Sparkling Justice).
