Gyarados Vs Blanka[]
This is a bonus episode by TherealHyperA. Someone else had done this fight, but it was deleted due to bias and poor research. This was also made as a bet that I could make and finish this fight in a single day XD!
Description[]
Pokémon Vs Street Fighter! These two rage induced wild beast who use elemental attacks are going fin to toe! Who will win? Well that’s my job to find out! It’s time for a Death Battle!
Introduction[]
Wiz: The wild. This is the place where predators thrive and prey hide.
Boomstick: And boy are these some strong predators! Especially when they go berserk!
Wiz: Gyarados, the raging serpent of the Pokémon world.
Boomstick: And Blanka, the Rolling Thunder of the Street Fighter series. He’s Wiz and I’m Boomstick!
Wiz: And it’s our job to analyze their weapons armor and skills to find out who would win a death battle!
Gyarados[]
Wiz: In the magical world of Pokémon, there are many kinds of beasts and monsters.
Boomstick: These can be friendly ones, cute ones, ones that are straight up demonic, but most feared of all is the one they call Gyarados!
Wiz: While these monstrous sea serpents are well known, if you are not in the Pokémon know how you might be shocked to find that they evolved from a small fish!
Boomstick: Be careful who you bully in high school, am I right? Anyways, once they get into their cool phase they have spawned legends of sinking ships! But these are most likely very true.
Wiz: During their many violent rampages and fights with other Pokémon, Gyarados has many attacks to take advantage of!
Abilities
- Hydro Pump, a powerful beam of water fired from its mouth.
- Hyper Beam, another beam attack but of concentrated energy.
- Dragon Rage, a shockwave of pure rage.
- Aqua Tail, a tail swing charged with aquatic energy.
- Bite attacks, examples are Bite, Crunch, and Ice Fang.
- Twister, summons a tornado.
- Hurricane, guess.
- Dragon Dance, boosts the attack and speed.
- Dark Pulse, a blast of pure dark energy.
Boomstick: That’s an impressive move pool! He can utilize water type moves like Hydro Pump, Hurricane, and Aqua Tail!
Wiz: Not only this, but he can also utilize Dark and Dragon type moves like Dark Pulse, Dragon Rage, Dragon Dance, and Crunch!
Boomstick: As for physical stats, not only does his massive size give him a big edge, his attacks can shatter boulders, he can lift a Snorlax so heavy it broke a stone platform, and can generally keep up with the huge amount of attacks thrown his way in any given Pokémon battle!
Wiz: And when using a Mega Stone, can transform into Mega Gyarados! This transformation makes the beast even more angry and powerful!
Boomstick: However, he’s not perfect. Due to the species water type, he is very weak to electricity and plant based attacks.
Wiz: On top of this, Gyarados is often portrayed as a mindless beast propelled by anger. While this was always somewhat true, this is ramped up to ten in his mega form, where the only thought in its brain is anger and killing!
Boomstick: But if you see this familiar silhouette in the water, you better get out quick or you are screwed!
Blanka[]
Boomstick: ~In the jungle the mighty jungle the lion sleeps tonight!~
Wiz: Shut up. Street Fighter is a fighting game home to many bizarre characters. But few of them are as iconic as Blanka.
Boomstick: After a plane crash, Jimmy McNoLastName was stranded in the jungle and somehow didn’t immediately die!
Wiz: In fact, he thrived. Eventually adapting to his new environment, he became the wild himself.
Boomstick: At the end of this multi year period, he came out looking like Donkey Kong and The Jolly Green Giant did the fusion dance! And somehow gained the power of electricity but we’ll get to that!
Wiz: Longer down the line he befriended Dan Hibiki and joined the Street Fighter martial arts tournament! And he’s a very strong competitor due to his innovative fighting style and electric capabilities!
Boomstick: His fighting style is known as the Wild Style, which is a pretty good description when it’s just him going apeshit for the most part.
Wiz: He preforms sliding punches, heavy swings, and grappling techniques, all the while moving with the agility of a chimpanzee! Not to mention his most famous technique-
Boomstick: Rolling up into a massive ball like a green Sonic! I wonder if I could win Bakugan like that?
Wiz: If you consider a 10 year prison sentence and a restraining order winning, then you’ve scored! Anyways, his rolling abilities can be used to deal heavy damage, lead into combos, and carry momentum!
Boomstick: And this gets even better with his next most popular ability, his electricity! He uses this ability to fry is opponents and power blenders!
Wiz: He can amplify his attacks to be imbued with electric power which makes his rolling attacks even more of a pain.
Boomstick: Hell, in one of his weirder attacks, he can dig through the earth and attack like a lightning mole! The move is called Lightning Mole by the way.
Wiz: As for physical stats, he can survive attacks from Small Building level fighters and scales to Ryu, who dodged machine gun fire! He can regularly take what he dishes out as well, and is quite skilled.
Boomstick: Not to mention the fact that he wrestles jungle animals on the regular!
Wiz: But he’s not perfect. While not stupid, he’s known for being somewhat childish and brawny. Also some of his attacks can leave him wide open.
Boomstick: But if you anger him and the jungle, you’ll feel the wrath of electric Tarzan!
FIGHT[]
(Animation Style: Sprites)
In the jungles of Brazil, Blanka was sitting by the riverside, eating a yellow mouse thing that he had caught. All that was left was the tail, which he absentmindedly tossed into the river behind him. The river turned red as blood sank to the bottom.
Meanwhile, a Gyarados was sleeping under the river. But when the crimson red blood of the tail reached it, its bloodshot eyes snapped open. The Gyarados erupted from the water and roared Blanka. He jumped up at the sound. The force of the roar caused him to skid back a bit, but he stood his ground and grinned.
He revved up into a ball as Gyarados slapped his tail on the water, as if warming up.
FIGHT!
The ball shot forward faster than Gyarados could react, nailing him in the nose before unrolling and landing on his head. He started repeatedly punching the serpent in the head while beating his chest. The serpent managed to shake him off before sending him skidding across the water with a Hydro Pump.
Blanka used this as momentum before rolling into a ball again while charging it with electricity. He spindashed across the river and hit the Gyarados in the stomach before rolling up the rest of its body like a ramp and hitting it in the chin. Midair Blanka unrolled and finished his combo by sending Gyarados back underwater with a powerful slam.
The Brazilian monster landed beside the river and began cheering. That was until the Gyarados erupted from the water again and smacked him into a tree with his tail. Blanka uprooted the tree and used it as a weapon to defend himself from the now charging serpent. After a few swings, he attempted to stop Gyarados from biting him by blocking its teeth with the palm tree. However, the serpent used Ice Fang, causing the tree to freeze over before shattering.
The clash of the century began as the two monsters began to wrestle, Gyarados trying to constrict Blanka who was fighting back by swinging around the serpent and trying to tie them in knots. Eventually, Blanka used his electricity to shock the Pokémon, allowing him to escape and gain a more favorable position. He reared up his fist as he prepared to attack the sea monster, only to be surprised by a Dark Pulse, sending him launching into a few trees. Gyarados followed this up by sending a Hyper Beam at the trees, completely destroying them and the surrounding ones. Luckily for Blanka, he managed to jump deeper into the forest.
Gyarados rampaged through the jungle trying to find him while letting off steam. Blanka climbed up to the top of a tree and saw the damage being done to the jungle. He roared incredibly loud, loud enough for Gyarados to hear. Upon hearing the shout, Gyarados crashed through the jungle to reach the opponent. A shockwave echoed through the jungle as Blankas fist met Gyarados’s head.
Blanka climbed onto Gyarados and started tearing through its skin in a vicious display. He created a lot of electricity, but before Gyarados could be totally fried, Blanka was blasted away with a Dragon Rage! After a second of quiet, a rumbling sound was heard beneath the earth. Suddenly, Blanka coated in electricity bursts from the ground beneath Gyarados!
However, a Twister was created below Blanka which caused him to fly into the air, which left him open to be smacked with an Aqua Tail like a baseball! As he got up, Blanka suddenly felt a sudden massive increase in power levels. He looked up to find Mega Gyarados charging at him, the sheer force of the transformation creating a shockwave!
Blanka decided to fight this transformation by channeling mass amounts of electricity through his body. Soon he was barely visible, and his eyes were completely covered by sheer light! Gyarados swung his tail at the newly powered up Blanka, but it was caught. The Street Fighter threw the Pokémon over his shoulder and into the earth behind him!
The serpent was so incredibly angry he was pulsing with it. It began go get so angry that it’s bellowed roar knocked Blanka backwards! Gyarados focused it’s sheer power to create a huge hurricane!
The jungle was both flooded and blown away by the sheer power as Blanka struggled to stand. He found his footing and began to charge into the last wheel of the fight! Both fighters moved so fast they appeared like blurs and emanated sheer power!
The shockwave from their clash caused the hurricanes eye to become even bigger as the whole jungle was engulfed! But in the clash, Gyarados came out on top! It grabbed the monster in its mouth and bit down with a powerful Crunch that split Blanka in half, spreading blood and organs that were only visible for a second before being washed away!
K.O!
Results[]
Boomstick: Holy hell that was sick! But how did Gyarados win?
Wiz: Well this was actually fairly tricky to decipher, both had advantages. For example, Blankas electric powers would be perfect to exploit the serpents weakness!
Boomstick: But in the end, Gyarados just had more. His sheer size meant that he was above Blankas lead before he even needed to transform! And the variety of attacks it had to pull from were sure to over whelm Blanka.
Wiz: While Blanka was smarter than Gyarados, not in a meaningful enough way to outsmart it. Neither were coming up with advanced plans on the fly,
Boomstick: While this may be shocking to some, Blanka just didn’t have the doseage of power necessary!
Wiz: The winner is Gyarados!
