Death Battle Info[]

Background[]

  • 2'11" (0.9 cm), the average height of a Grovyle.
  • Age: Unknown, presumably adult.
  • Is from the future.
  • Became a living time paradox after being erased. (It makes more sense in context.)

Attacks[]

  • Leaf Blade: Grovyle's three leaves on his forearms glow with green energy and forms into a single blade to attack his foes with. It has a high critical hit rate.
  • Dig: Grovyle burrows himself into the ground and becomes almost untouchable until he resurfaces to attack.
  • Absorb: An attack that fires two beams from Grovyle's leaves that surrounds his foe in red energy and absorbs their health to replenish his own. Is only able to heal for half of what the attack dealt.
  • Quick Attack: Grovyle lunges at his foes with incredible speed that makes him look almost invisible to his foes. This attack makes him always strike first.
  • Energy Ball: Grovyle draws power from nature to produce a green orb made out of energy in his hands to launch at his foes. It can lower their Special Defense by 1.
  • Bullet Seed: Grovyle forcefully fires a barrage of seeds from his mouth at his foes two to five times.
  • Slam: Grovyle grabs his foe and slams them hard onto the ground

Ability[]

  • Overgrow: At low health, his grass-type attacks double in strength.

Equipment[]

  • Luminous Orbs: A type of Wonder Orb that, when activated, surrounds the area in a blinding light that Grovyle likes to use as flash grenades.

IQ Skills[]

  • PP Saver: Will occasionally allow a move Grovyle uses to not consume his PP.
  • Self-Curer: Will quicken the amount of time needed for status affects to wear off of Grovyle.
  • Concentrator: Makes Grovyle focus on making his attacks hit which raises accuracy by 1 and lowers his evasion by 1 as well.
  • Practice Swinger: If Grovyle misses an attack, his Physical Attack and Special Attack raises for his next attack and that next attack only.
  • Clutch Performer: When his health is critically low, his evasion raises by 2.
  • Critical Dodger: Grovyle slips just out of reach of attacks that are critical hits.
  • Stair Sensor: Helps Grovyle locate stairs.
  • Trap Avoider: Helps Grovyle dodge visible traps while walking on them.
  • Quick Dodger: Makes Grovyle better at dodging attacks made against him.
  • Trap Seer: Makes any invisable trap Grovyle steps on not activate.
  • Quick Striker: Makes Grovyle attack at a faster rate, allowing him to do extra attacks after making his first one.

Feats[]

  • Fought against Team Pokepals, a Groudon illusion (it's likely not as strong as the real Groudon), Azelf, Uxie, Dusknoir and his posse of Sableyes, and Primal Dialga.
    • He also defeated Mespirit in the manga.
  • Outsmarted Dusknoir twice.
  • Helped change Dusknoir's heart.
  • Should be comparable to other Grovyles.
  • His innocent nature allowed him to be unaffected by the world's darkness, which corrupts Pokémon and can warp their personalities into more vicious versions of themselves.

Faults[]

  • Got outsmarted by Dusknoir twice.
  • He was eventually caught by Dusknoir in the past.
  • Was possessed by Spiritomb and almost had his soul melted away.
  • Attacks similar to Earthquake are able to harm Grovyle when he uses Dig.
  • Dig is useless against opponents who are airborne.
  • Is weak to Fire, Ice, Bug, Flying, and Poison type attacks thanks to his Grass typing.
  • He's too trusting of others due to his innocent nature.
