Grogar is a ram sorcerer who appears as a villain in the My Little Pony franchise.
He appears as one of the antagonists in the G1 series, My Little Pony 'n Friends, appearing as the main antagonist in the four-part episode, "The Return of Tambelon". In the G4 series, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, he serves as the posthumous overarching antagonist and a disguise for the redeemed villain, Discord.

History[]
My Little Pony 'n Friends (G1)[]
He is an evil demonic ram sorcerer and the leader of the kingdom named Tambelon which is also the Realm of Darkness, who conquered the Troggles and once ruled Ponyland with an iron hoof 500 years ago before he was defeated when the ancient bell was rung. This banished him and the city to the Shadow World. However, Grogar swore that he would return in 500 years to retake Ponyland. Overtime, Grogar and his reign over Ponyland became forgotten from history and were only told as a legend that Paradise had heard about.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (G4)[]
Thousands of years ago, before Equestria was founded, the land before then was a scattered collection of farms and pastures. Then Grogar came and seized control of the world, declaring himself "Emperor of All He Saw." Using his powerful dark magic and his baleful Bewitching Bell, he created the most fearsome creatures and unleashed throughout the realm, terrorizing the populace and ushering in an age of fear and darkness. Thus, he earned another title - "The Father of Monsters." However, his evil epoch had finally come to an end when he battle the legendary heroine, Gusty the Great. He vanished after the battle never to be seen again.

Will be weakened if his bell is taken from him. G1 Grogar will be banished to the Realm of Darkness if the Ancient Bell is rung twice and his bell destroyed as well.
