Griffith vs Gilgamesh is a What-If? Episode of Death Battle. Featuring Griffith from Berserk against Gilgamesh from Fate/Stay Night
Description[]
It's a duel of two egotistical god-like beings of anime, but which planetary antagonist will take the win in this clash of titans?
Interlude[]
Wiz: While many people would aspire to be kings, others would aspire to be gods, and in this case we are looking at two combatants who ended up becoming what is known as a 'God-King'
Boomstick: And became egotistical as hell while doing so.
Wiz: Right. Griffith, The White Hawk who formed into the God Hand, Femto.
Boomstick: And Gilgamesh, The King of Heroes. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win, a Death Battle!
Griffith[]
Wiz: Ambition, a dream that is turned into a strong desire to achieve something in your life, mostly when it comes to power.
Boomstick: But that ambition is all that it takes to drive someone over the edge. Wiz: Such is the case with the former leader of the Band of the Hawk, Griffith. Who might have started off strong, but as time went on, everything would end up going downhill.
Boomstick: Trust us, this is gonna be long, so sit tight. Born as a child of humble-birth he already had his ambition set sight on ruling a kingdom of his own, as he ended up receiving a crimson behelit. Which we will be getting to later on down the line.
Wiz: With the help of a miner named Pippin, a former bandit named Corkus, a tumbler named Judeau and a 12-year old named Casca, the latter of which Griffith saved from her would-be rapists, he formed the Band of the Hawk.
Boomstick: Two years after the formation of the group, Griffith encountered the Black Swordsman himself, Guts, and managed to defeat him twice in order to win over his servitude. Where they would later prove victorious in a battle against the Black Sheep Iron Spears Heavy Knights of Tudor... What the fuck? Is that what medieval people called their clans?
Wiz: During one siege, the duo of Guts and Griffith would then encounter the demon known as Nosferatu Zodd the Immortal, who noticed the crimson behelit that Griffith wore, and warned Guts of the significance in his doom. Everything would go downhill from there.
Boomstick: The brother to the King of Midland, Julius had hired an assassin to kill Griffith, but it ultimately failed. In retaliation, like any sane person would Griffith ordered Guts to kill Julius and any of the witnesses, which included Julius’s son Adonis.
Wiz: This caused Guts to leave the Band of the Hawk after a rift formed between the two, which caused Griffith to go into a downward spiral which all led up to his imprisonment in the Tower of Rebirth, with his behelit getting thrown into a drain that leaded to a river.
Boomstick: All because he was caught sleeping with Charlotte, the queen of Midland. No comment there, I got nothing.
Wiz: One whole year later, by the time that Guts and the Band of the Hawk came to his rescue, Griffith had been rendered completely mute and crippled from being tortured for one year straight. Griffith had tried to end his life due to his ruined state no longer allowing him to fulfill his dream. That was, until-
Boomstick: Deus Ex Machina.
Wiz: ...Well, in a way. The behelit ended up activated after a drop of Griffith’s blood, where all of the members in the Band of the Hawk, which included Guts and Griffith, were transported to the Interstice. The plane in between the physical realm and the astral realm.
Boomstick: They were greeted by the God Head, as Apostles ended up gathering around him, where Griffith would be given a chance to become the leader he always wanted to be, at the cost of sacrificing the Band of the Hawk. This was where Griffith’s true character emerged, as he said yes to the deal. And all that was left after the massacre was Guts and an unconscious Casca, the latter of which Griffith, well, y’know.
Wiz: This was where Griffith became part of the God Hand, now being known as, Femto.
Boomstick: While as Griffith, he is decent in swordplay, hand-to-hand combat and has superhuman durability, being able to take a hit from Nosferatu Zodd. His greatest ability, is his charisma. Which is amplified even more-so as Femto.
Wiz: But for combat prowess, Femto is able to use what’s known as gravity manipulation. Where he can change the gravity to be utilized as a weapon against his foe, which includes redirecting attacks, and launching his foe back.
Boomstick: That’s all you’re gonna comment on? How about the fact that he can create black holes where he can crush multiple people at once in! Eat your heart out, Steven Hawking.
Wiz: But that, outside of some reality warping abilities, Femto doesn’t have much to his arsenal, as he mostly focuses on his gravity manipulation prowess. Though after using the Demon Child, the offspring of Guts and Casca brought into the physical world as a demonic creature, don’t ask why you don’t want to know, he has a complete physical presence, and is able to revert to Griffith and back.
Boomstick: And using his gravity manipulation, he was easily able to defeat Guts in their first encounter as Femto, and he was able to change the face of the Earth with his reality manipulation. But the only flaw that Femto seems to possess, is that spiritual and reality manipulating weapons can still harm him.
Wiz: But as of now, after being resurrected into the human world, he formed a new Band of the Hawk composed of Apostles, nicknamed the Neo Band of the Hawk. And continues to lead it, as Guts fights countless demonic beings, as Femto remains completely set on his ambition and nothing more.
Boomstick: And he will remain the hand of God hovering above. And has no control, even over his own will.
Griffith: It is my perception that a true friend never relies on another’s dream. A person with the potential to be my true friend must be able to find his reason for life without my help. And, he would have to put his heart and soul into protecting his dream. He would never hesitate to fight for his dream, even against me. For me, a true friend is one who stands equal on those terms.
Gilgamesh[]
Wiz: Out of all royalties, one of the first that comes to mind is the king, the male ruler.
Boomstick: And the most important chess piece.
Wiz: But it all started with one, the two thirds human of a demi-god as well as a god-king, the King of Heroes as well as the ruler of Uruk, Gilgamesh. As a child, Gilgamesh always preferred the divine side over mankind, befriending the servant of Wolf, named Enkidu.
Boomstick: Enkidu always believed that Gilgamesh was a hero, having a soul and free will ever since the beginning, that was until her death. Which caused Gilgamesh to search for the Herb of Immortality in order to prevent his own fate. See what I did ther-
Wiz: ...Even I know you can do better than that.
Boomstick: Had to teach that new intern which kind of beer to get from the liquor store, it’s very important.
Wiz: Suuure. Anywhom, he ended up finding the Herb of Immortality he was looking for, but there was one problem afterwards that made everything go to hell. Conveniently, or for the sake of this inconveniently, a snake snatched the herb including the energy, making it completely useless for Gilgamesh’s use.
Boomstick: Clearly the predecessor of Adolf Fredrik.
Wiz: Unable to revive his deceased friend, he spent the rest of his life as the King of Uruk before passing away. But his end was only the beginning, as he would later wish to be an Archer-Class Servant during the Holy Grail War.
Boomstick: Servant? Archer-Class? Is this some MMO?
Wiz: Not exactly. Servants are both Heroic Spirits and Divine Spirits that are summoned by the Holy Grail, competing against each other in the Holy Grail War under their masters.
Boomstick: Masters, you say? And with most of them being female-
Wiz: Damn it, why do I even bother. Gilgamesh is easily one of the toughest servants out there, and the main reason why is because of what’s known as the King’s Treasure, the Gates of Bablyon. Which connects the space of reality to the king’s vault, where it stores tons of weapons at his disposal.
Boomstick: More like a shit ton. To the point where there is so many weapons that Gilgamesh doesn’t know all of them, it’s practically a void in space acting as Batman’s utility belt. Just replace Batman with Gilgamesh, and there you have it.
Wiz: But believe us when we say that Gilgamesh has a bunch of weapons and items in there, including swords and spears that can pierce through mountains, invisible swords, airplanes, submarines, Heracles’ axe and even a Ship of Light that allows Gilgamesh to travel at faster than light speeds.
Boomstick: But trust us, there’s WAY more too it. With the exception of guns... Damn it. They have airplanes and submarines, items they shouldn’t have at that time period, yet no guns.
Wiz: Well he does have the Golden Drill that fires machine gun and cannon fire, but. He also has A golden key sword that blocks attacks and opens any door named the Key of the King’s Law, Command Spells, a demonic sword that contains the “reparation” curse despite the fact that it can also happen to the user and a spirit sword Caladbolg.
Boomstick: There’s Durandal, an indestructible holy sword favored by the paladin leader of the Twelve Peers; Roland. Enkidu, a weapon that binds the opponent while getting stronger the more powerful an opponent is. And Harpe, a scythe capable of killing immortal beings and inflicting permanent wounds that only heal naturally. This is some real Dark Schneider shit, I tell you.
Wiz: Only on a lesser scale, Houtengeki is a halberd allowed to be used in any way once mastered, Vajra the symbol of divinity of the god of lightning Indra, which is an arrow with electric properties. Sui-sagana, a jagged sword that launches a beam type of attack. And Virmana, a flying contraption capable of traveling on the speed of thought. Which might I add is incalculable.
Boomstick: There is obviously more weapons in there, like sickles, a curtain of night, a treasure that enables levitation and hell even lightning without a form to take that can be launched as a projectile. But trust us, trying to list it all would be absolute insanity, even compared to what we are used to, but basically any weapon you can think of is in here.
Wiz: But with the exception of Enkidu, the most noteworthy out of all of these weapons is the legendary-
Boomstick: King’s Wine. Contained in a set of wine bottles made out of heavy gold, it’s something that cannot be brewed by human hands. I may prefer beer over wine, but still, I’d want access to the Gates of Bablyon just for that.
Wiz: Ahem, well that and the Sword of Rupture, Ea. Which is the most powerful Noble Phantasm, weapons used by heroic spirits, and it is a sword that only Gilgamesh possesses. With good reason, as he only uses it against those he deems worthy of facing it.
Boomstick: It’s practically a longsword, which destroys a building at it’s absolute weakest in a single strike. And using Enuma Elish, it can display it’s maximum output, where when it’s fully charged Gilgamesh fires a swirl of wind and light that can distort space and time in order to destroy the entire Earth.
Wiz: Hell, even without Ea and any of the other weapons at Gilgamesh’s disposal, he’s still a force to be reckoned with. As he’s got enhanced strength, durability and speed. As well as high divinity, flight and advanced swordplay. While it might not be on the level of an expert, he can still make use of just about any bladed weapon you can think of.
Boomstick: Let’s just say there’s a reason why the ‘God Tier’ exists, because Gilgamesh is just that figuratively and literally. As he’s destroyed Alexander the Great’s reality marble, overwhelmed Heracles and withstood the curses of the Holy Grail.
Wiz: And took a black hole, and managed to get out with the force of his willpower. Somehow.
Boomstick: Though there are some minuscule faults that Gilgamesh has, as he usually is very overconfident, never becoming serious unless the foe is worthy in his eyes. And weapons in the Gates of Bablyon with the exception of Ea can be used against him, but still. There is no denying that Gilgamesh is just too overpowered for his verse.
Gilgamesh: If I shied away from all the curses in the world, what sort of Hero would I be? "Suffer all the worlds evil"? Ha, they think they can ruin all me with a mere curse? They should have tripled it's strength! An epic hero is someone who bears the burden of every human in his sight. I've been carrying that weight on my shoulders since the beginning of time!
DEATH BATTLE![]
Falconia
Afternoon
The skies were bright as day, the sun hovering overhead the kingdom new in the world of order; monarchy, but while many monarchs would claim that they were made to rule by a deity, the king of the city of Falconia was that deity. The loyal Knights marched to the outskirts of the gate, where a bunch of relics in the shape of hawks, the symbol of both Falconia and it's leader.
The knights caught something with their ears and eyes as they entered their defensive posture, hearing the galloping of horses off in the distance, seeing the horses they heard too. "Raise the gate!" The horsemen leading the rest ordered, as the knights turned their focus to the surrounding horsemen. They weren't men at all, they were demonic monstrosities coined as Apostles, which the knights realized that this was their king, Griffith.
The members of the knighthood quickly opened the gates without a word being uttered, as Griffith and the creatures he accompanied himself with, the members of the Neo Band of the Hawk ducking down to prevent slamming their faces against the gate.
Seconds after they entered, the gates were forcefully closed as the Neo Band of the Hawk dismounted from their horses, with Griffith entering the fortress in the center point of Falconia; after a few moments of walking. The Hawk of Light walked by the crowd of citizens bowing to his sight, as he looked up to the sight of the sun.
Such a sight just reminded him of the shining light that enveloped the Earth, allowing demons of the Astral Plane to pass into the host of life in the Solar System, "Only gods like I should view a sight like this one." Griffith observed, crossing his arms.
He was more likely to be better off keeping his mouth shut...
Several kilometers away from Falconia, atop one of the highest towers in that region of the world, was a king like Griffith spying on him with a ring that allowed him enhanced sight like binoculars, as this king had used it ever since his childhood. The king in question was the first one known to man, who was his own one man army, Gilgamesh.
"Mongrel, he obviously has not seen a god in his life, unlike myself." Gilgamesh criticized as he took out a golden, sparkling chalice coated in gold, with Gilgamesh having the drink of the gods in his hands. The oldest king took a sip of his wine, before he put it to the side. "Who am I kidding. I am that god." Gilgamesh snapped, before stepping out of his seat.
"Griffith, something's heading it's way here!" A devoured member of the Neo Band of the Hawk, Sonia, informed him in a panic, as knights noticed how the divine figure looked as if he were to be flying into the city past the gate, seeming as if he were to be defying the laws of physics. Knights scattered around, trying to open the gate as Apostles surrounded where the figure landed, it was none other than Gilgamesh infiltrating the fortress.
The knights and the Apostles without hesitation attempted to rush forward at Gilgamesh, who simply responded to this was a scoff. "You mongrels were best to stay where you were standing." Gilgamesh boasted in confidence, as what seemed to be a gap in space opened up around him, with several different swords and spears emerging from it.
SHKK!!
The swords and spears rocketed from the gap that opened up, with more than a hundred total soaring towards the protectors of Griffith, but all that happened was the, ditching their own lives in the process, as each and every knight and Apostle was impaled, with a pool of blood dripping down to where they were standing. Only sparing Sonia, as Gilgamesh felt pity over the young child.
It was there that Griffith emerged in his suit of armor, sword drawn and prepared to do this the hard way. "I may not know who you are, but it looks like we will be doing this the hard way, if you'd rather." Griffith commented, as he pointed his sword at Gilgamesh. Knowing that he would have to fight his way out of this one.
Gilgamesh grinned, amused by what he thought was this god wannabe getting far too ahead of himself. "I will show you, what it's truly like to be God." Gilgamesh replied.
FIGHT!
Griffith made his first opposing strike, darting towards Gilgamesh, who at that point was just leaving himself open out of pity, but also of intrigue. Perhaps this king could show his worth after all? Griffith was only a few feet away from his foe, before diagonally swinging his sword at the suppressed King of Heroes.
CLANG!
Much to Griffith’s shock, Gilgamesh’s golden attire was not just for mere decoration, as it proved as incredibly durable armor, which caused the sword to practically bounce straight off of his armor. “As I expected, you are no match for a godly figure like myself.” Gilgamesh bragged, before Griffith saw it again, this time it was in full view and not from a distance.
The gold colored gap that formed in space appeared, the Gates of Bablyon. “Very well, one way or another, I will always get what I want.” Griffith remarked, before he started to take small steps forward, as a golden plated sword popped out of the Gates of Bablyon, landing into Gilgamesh’s hands. “Like a spoiled child...” Gilgamesh muttered.
Griffith and Gilgamesh both inched closer to each other, before they began to clash with each other, for real this time around.
CLANG!
Griffith and GIlgamesh slammed their swords forward, with the sound that came from it practically echoing across Falconia, before they both got themselves in a blade lock. Griffith and Gilgamesh muscled against each other, pressing the palms of their hands against the blades they wielded, up until Griffith started to slowly slide to the back.
Griffith gritted his teeth as he fought back against the ferocity that Gilgamesh was showing, even when he was holding back, and using only one weapon out of the several hundreds he had at his disposal. The Hawk of Light thought that it would be best to go for the head, as he made a stabbing motion, aiming for exactly that.
Gilgamesh tilted his head back slightly to evade the attempted strike, which ended up forcing the desperate Griffith to mindlessly charge forward at the oldest king known to man, swinging his right arm forward at Gilgamesh’s face, being able to hit him directly due to catching him off guard.
Griffith quickly repositioned himself, shoving Gilgamesh directly to the ground below, with dirt getting brushed against his face. The leader of the Neo Band of the Hawk wrapped his arms around Gilgamesh’s right arm, while holding him down in the process. “What does this mongrel think he’s doing?“ Gilgamesh thought, as he witnessed this.
“You only have two options - you can either admit defeat, or I will forcefully dislocate your shoulder. Either make no difference to me, now choose.” Griffith instructed with a smug look on his face, as Gilgamesh gained a furious look in his eyes, and his left fist clenched.
POW!
Gilgamesh took his ferocity out at Griffith as he still contained that smug look, making a jab with his left arm straight at his gut, albeit the armor managed to shield it, despite gaining a large amount of cracks due to Gilgamesh’s hulking strength. “You know, Griffith. That was with my left arm.” Gilgamesh retorted, crossing his arms.
“Very well, it looks like I will have actual work to do.” Griffith replied, in a somewhat charismatic manner, but Gilgamesh at that point could not care less. Griffith attempted to make another swing at his opponent, and even still finding himself to have no luck. Gilgamesh was still just one step ahead, or in this case, one step behind to move back from the attempting stabbings.
Gilgamesh at that point just returned the golden sword he had equipped in his hand back into the vault, he figured that at this rate his bare fists is all that it would take to bring Griffith down to his knees in agony. As he saw that Griffith was attempting to make yet another stab, clearly not trying to let up.
“This is pathetic.” Gilgamesh murmured, before swinging both of his fists forward, one getting thrown at Griffith’s face, while the other getting swung at where Gilgamesh struck him earlier.
CRACK!!
The first punch’s strength proved too much that the part of Griffith’s armor protecting his face was unable to take it, as it shattered into hundreds of minuscule pieces, as the second punch would not be overshadowed in strength by the first, almost surrounding the entirety of the armor, what was left of it, with cracks.
Griffith stumbled back, with his emotions practically engulfed with shock over what had just happened, it was there that the king of Falconia realized that this event was definitely not gonna be pretty, as Gilgamesh began dashing towards his foe while he was vulnerable. “Where do I go from here?“ Griffith thought, before he was struck by one more of Gilgamesh’s punches.
CRAAACK!!
The rest of Griffith’s armor broke apart, as the king was left completely defenseless in nothing but a standard medieval attire, as Gilgamesh snatched Griffith by the neck with his right hand, keeping him in a choke hold. “You should have strengthened your physical power, rather than your tongue, mongrel.” Gilgamesh jeered, tossing the helpless royal forward.
The golden gap of the Gates of Bablyon quickly opened up beside Gilgamesh, as Griffith was attempting to adjust himself in mid-air, as he ended up seeing the gap at the worst possible of times, only being able to watch in horror to what was coming his way...
...Nothing. Not a sword, not a spear, nothing.
While to some this would seem to be a good thing, for Griffith he found himself getting eclipsed by the fear of the unknown. What was the point of Gilgamesh opening the Gates of Bablyon if he wasn’t gonna use an item from it? Was it just for intimidation factor? Is Gilgamesh holding bac-
HHAAACK!!
Griffith’s thorax seemed as if it were sliced by a sword launched at him, as blood was quickly pouring out rapidly, as the Hawk of Light gasped in pain. He realized that this was the whole point, and that his fears had been answered, as the sword invisible to the human eye was stored back into the vault, as Griffith came crashing down.
Gilgamesh scoffed, as he got back the golden chalice filled with wine, as he took a sip. Having put an end to Griffith, he stopped drinking for a second, stating. “It’s like I said, you may consider yourself a god, but no delusion can save you from a real one.”
Griffith’s Mind
(Stop-Music)
But despite what Gilgamesh might have thought, Griffith was still keeping himself alive, as he had taken a hit from Nosferatu Zodd, so this was only mild. However, he had no idea what he could do against the merciless Gilgamesh at that point, he was wondering if he should just keep trying to fake his death in order to cut his losses.
“If you do that, I will kill you myself.” A voice echoed in the Hawk of Light’s brain. It was, the Idea of Evil itself.
“What, are you doing here?” Griffith asked, still unsure as to what was going on, but that simply did not matter to the Idea of Evil at that point. “He may seem like a god, Chosen One, but he is two thirds human, he will still be a part of humanity’s ultimate fate, I trust you understand, as you will do.” Was it’s response. “Now bring out your true side, God Hand.”
Griffith now was starting to understand what he needed to do now, as he took the Idea of Evil’s word for granted, but he was still pondering as to whether or not this would be worth it or not. But he remembered that the only way he could avenge his troops, is victory. All topped off with, what Gilgamesh said himself.
‘It’s like I said, you may consider yourself a god, but no delusion can save you from a real one.’
This was when Griffith became agitated, this was no delusion, this, was an ambition! He took the Idea of Evil’s words without waiting a second longer, as the Hawk of Light would set himself aside, and become, the Hawk of Darkness. And within seconds, Gilgamesh found himself getting locked into some other form of reality, while he was too busy sipping wine to pay attention.
Interstice
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73WWpKyuWL4)
Gilgamesh found the place that he felt himself to be trapped in to be, horrific. It just felt like a truckload of bleak red nothingness, resembling that of the crimson behelit that Griffith kept around as long as he did, which quickly caught on to Gilgamesh, as he turned to where he saw his foe down on the ground.
What Gilgamesh saw however, was the polar opposite of this. Griffith seemingly wasn’t even there at all, but the figure that was standing in his place was standing completely upright, with practically the same armor as before, even the hawk beaked headpiece, but in a shade of dark red, barely above being completely pitch black. The darkest side of the Hawk, Femto, had shown himself.
“Hmph, which mongrel am I talking to now?” Gilgamesh asked in an almost snarky manner, but the figure on the other end would prove to be a familiar one, “The end result of an ambition. This was no delusion, Gilgamesh.” Femto bellowed, which caused Gilgamesh to raise his eyebrow, before he realized what this could mean.
Looks like Gilgamesh would have to actually try this time.
Gilgamesh opened his trusty Gates of Bablyon, as he attempted to try and finish this now, like it should have been much earlier. Gilgamesh shot about 10 different swords and spears, but all of them having the same capacity, being able to pierce through mountains, and their potential as a barrage was fired directly at Femto.
Gilgamesh decided to just, stand there, he knew that there was no way he could miss with a barrage as massive as that one. But even after a few moments, there was no impact, the swords and spears just seemed to have stopped in mid-air. Gilgamesh was puzzled by this, thinking just one simple question, how?
That question’s answer was revealed to the King of Heroes incredibly quickly, as the Hawk of Darkness seemingly twitched his wrist, and the swords and spears were quickly shot down to the abyss that was the Interstice, needless to say, Gilgamesh was on red alert right from the sight of this.
“That’s as close as you are ever gonna get.” Femto boasted, before making a break for it towards Gilgamesh while he was wide open, looking as if he were to be a blur shooting through the skies to an ordinary human, as Gilgamesh swiftly caught on to how much faster this new form of Griffith had gotten, but he could not keep himself focused on that for very long.
Femto relentlessly started to beat down his opponent once he had got within range, landing several different punches to the face, as Gilgamesh slightly started to bleed through his nose. The King of Heroes wiped the blood off of him with a swipe of his hand, as the Gates of Bablyon opened once more, this time supplying him with what seemed to be a golden drill.
But this one had an added catch, as Gilgamesh held onto the drill with both of his hands, as it started to wildly spin around, but instead of Gilgamesh swinging this in a stabbing motion towards Femto like one would expect, this instead acted as a gatling gun, firing tons of bullets at the Hawk of Darkness.
“When will you learn.“ Femto thought, before he decided to rinse and repeat what he did to the swords and spears heading towards him, clearing the bullets out of the air, and harmlessly dropping them to the ground.
But Femto’s next attack was anything but harmless, as he made a devastating right hook to Gilgamesh’s jaw, sending him skidding back a few meters away from The Absolute Being, as the King of Heroes was now starting to lose his control. “There’s no way a mongrel is able to put up this much of a fight, against a god. Unless...!” Gilgamesh muttered, which caught the attention of Femto.
“Not just some puny washed-up god, a God Hand.” Femto replied, which caused Gilgamesh to remember the ability that Berserker had at his disposal, raising even more questions in Gilgamesh’s mind, including, can he really die?
He boldly decided it would be best to just try it out and see what happens, but this time he would not be going as easy as he was prior. Gilgamesh opened the Gates of Bablyon once again, this time deciding to keep it open in the meantime, as he ended up firing a strike of lightning, without a form to take.
ZZZAP!
Femto may have been struck by it, but it did not do much damage from an overall stand point, as Femto just grinned sadistically, gazing into the eyes of Gilgamesh in a somewhat unsettling manner, which caused Gilgamesh to get out one of his named weapons this time around, a holy sword that went by the name of Durandal.
The two godly beings ended up matching their wits against each other, as Gilgamesh rapidly swung Durandal at Femto, who was just backing away from it calmly, which clearly made Femto gradually bored, it was like when Griffith was attempting to stab Gilgamesh in the head with his sword, but in reverse. It was to the point that Femto just allowed Gilgamesh to hit him by stopping in place.
SWISH! Once again, Femto just took it, not even bothering to block as he made a punch squarely at Gilgamesh’s chest, “Don’t be ridiculous and think for a second, would a holy sword affect a god?” Femto asked rhetorically.
“Why won’t you die!? While I’m at it, how are you deflecting all of my attacks!?” Gilgamesh snapped, but Femto just remained there, practically matching Gilgamesh’s ego, “Because, you seem to not understand the concept of gravity, more specifically, the ability to manipulate it.” Femto replied, before violently flicking Gilgamesh out of the Interstice plane of existence.
Plains
Gilgamesh was rapidly descending towards the ground, blood trailing from the force used on him, before Gilgamesh looked down to see that he was just seconds away from hitting the ground, he was just about to try and fly his way out of this one, but he was ultimately too slow-
CRASH!!
Gilgamesh created a gigantic crater into the ground beneath him, as he slowly turned his head towards where he fell from, as he saw what seemed to be a man-sized bat swooping across the skies, but Gilgamesh could see well enough to know that, it was no ‘bat’, it was Femto.
“Looks like that cape wasn’t for decoration...” Gilgamesh muttered, before he also ascended into the air, slightly exhausted himself, but he was in no way willing to back down at this point, as Femto decided to just play along, figuring that this would just be a repeat of the battle in the Interstice.
Gilgamesh resorted to opening up the Gates of Bablyon once more, but now he was being serious with the choices that he would be going for in the vault, as he took out a bow and arrow, and an arrow with the symbol of divinity for the god of lightning, named Indra, and as the symbol would suggest, it quickly sparked once being drawn into the bow.
Gilgamesh fired what was referred to as the Vajra at Femto, who just continued to demonstrate how slow of a learner the King of Heroes was making himself out to be, as he not only blocked the attack, he completely intercepted it, flinging it right back at the user.
The oldest king in existence frantically managed to put the Vajra arrow back in the vault at the last minute, prior to swapping out the bow with a much more suitable weapon, the demonic sword Gram. “Now it’s time we get serious, you seem worthy to fight, and worthy to die.” Gilgamesh retorted.
“Fascinating” Femto replied, in a sarcastic manner before he charged forward, without thinking of a strategy ahead of time.
Gilgamesh swung the demonic sword Gram forward as if he were to be wielding an axe, which managed to catch Femto off guard at first, making him swerve away from the swing. As he managed to use his gravity manipulation to take a grip of the demonic sword, yanking it out of the King of Heroes’ grip.
“Give, that, back!” Gilgamesh snapped, as he fussed with the fourth member of the God Hand, but Femto still remained in control of the demonic sword in his possession, smirking at the fact that the King of Heroes neglected to prevent others from using the weapons that he wields.
Femto managed to land a successful hit at Gilgamesh while he was fighting against him in control over who was wielding the sword Gram; and while it might not have done much damage to him specifically, it dented his golden plated armor significantly.
Gilgamesh kept his Gates of Bablyon opened up, as he tended to need the vault throughout the entirety of the fight, as he needed something he thought he never would have needed in the first place, a mode of transportation to help evade Femto’s attacks. Gilgamesh was never known to back away from a challenger, but it seemed that he was truly fighting on a serious level.
Femto began blazing towards Gilgamesh, looking like the same blur that the King of Heroes saw when he was getting pummeled in the Interstice, as Femto swung the Gram sword horizontally across his viewpoint of where Gilgamesh was standing.
But he soon saw that as soon as he swung, Gilgamesh was already long gone. Thousands of meters away from Femto in a fraction of a second, which caused Femto to get infuriated. Where did this god run off to? Was he being a coward? Gilgamesh soon appeared right in front of him, utilizing the Ship of Light.
“Stay still.” Femto ordered, in his booming yet intimidating voice that he had obtained, before swinging in the same motion he did previously. Unsurprisingly Gilgamesh disobeyed the orders that Femto gave him, he was not gonna stand around just to get butchered. As he remained traveling on his Ship of Light, which Femto had no hope of keeping up with.
“Hmph, it seems that without your little gravity tricks you are next to useless. Looks like all the credit I gave you was for nothing, now to meet your fate.“ Gilgamesh criticized, before he got out one of his most prized possessions stored within the gap of space that was the Gates of Bablyon, the Enkidu, otherwise known as the Chains of Heaven.
Gilgamesh wrapped the chains around Femto while he was vulnerable, not only forcing him to drop the demonic sword Gram against his will, but keeping him stationary in order for a successful hit, with the King of Heroes showing why he would name it after his deceased friend, the one that he cared for the most.
“God, God Hand, it doesn’t matter, with this I will reign over them all.” Gilgamesh boasted, as Femto became incredibly ticked off by not only Gilgamesh’s taunting; showing that he was not fond of others taunting rather than himself doing the taunting. But also him being bound in place, as desperately as he tried to escape, it seemed meaningless.
“GET!
BACK!”
Femto was now truly in what people would like to call a rage mode, as he tugged on the chains of Enkidu, before he managed to do so long enough to get himself loosened, even proving that the most trusted weapon in the Gates of Bablyon had it’s limits.
This prompted Gilgamesh to get out the Key of the King’s Law, otherwise known as Bab-ilu, as he raised it up in the air while it shined. Femto attempted to make a punch at Gilgamesh, but the king was able to defend himself with the key. Gilgamesh then summoned his most unique weapon he had up his sleeve, or rather in the Gates of Bablyon, the Sword of Rupture itself, Ea.

“This is where you end, mongrel.” Gilgamesh boasted, as the Sword of Rupture began emitting a red aura that eclipsed most of the surroundings that Femto and Gilgamesh were levitating in the air, before they zoomed towards each other, both of them having the same mindset when they did, decimate their foe as quickly as possible.
Femto swung his fist forward while Gilgamesh swung the Sword of Rupture; Ea, while it was still emitting it’s aura, proving the former of which proving to be a ludicrous idea right from the start.
SWIIIISH!
The Sword of Rupture began to tear at Femto’s arm in general, as it seemed two different forms of blood ended up pouring out of the wound that was formed, one for Griffith’s blood, the other for the blood that Femto had in his system. Femto looked back to Gilgamesh after he was struck, and he, was, pissed.
Femto took a hold of Gilgamesh by putting his gravity manipulation to more of use, knowing that it was his best bet to take home the victory in the battle against Gilgamesh. “We’ll see how you will reign over me now. However the hell you would be able to pull that off in the first place.” Femto gloated, before dragging Gilgamesh across the dirt.
The King of Heroes attempted to get back to his feet after a good minute or two of Femto trying to drag him about like a ragdoll, but the Hawk of Darkness answered to this with more brutality, bashing his face against the ground this time around, showing little to no mercy, despite how much of an annoyance this was making it out to be for Gilgamesh, even though this alone would be no way to kill him.
The golden gap that Femto ever so despised since Gilgamesh started to go on serious mode opened, as a large jagged sword dropped into Gilgamesh’s hand, being wielded in his left, while Ea was being held in his right. But Femto thought this was foolish, he was no way in range to hit him, even with a weapon of that size
But Femto would just prove himself wrong, again.
A beam of energy bursted from the oversized jagged sword, named after the deity in Sumerian mythology Sui-sagana, was heading directly towards Femto, who quickly stopped attacking Gilgamesh with his gravity manipulation in an attempt to block this attack, but it was just, too fast.
BOOM!
Femto was catastrophically decimated by the beam, which caused him to drop from the sky and too the ground, but he was still pissed as ever, and he had all the anger in the world to take out on Gilgamesh, who was switching out his Sui-sagana sword for an even deadlier weapon, a scythe-like weapon that has some of the most disastrous effects in the King of Heroes’ arsenal.
The Immortal Slaying Scythe, Harpe.
Like before, Gilgamesh was wielding this with his left hand, but unlike the Sui-sagana where he was able to use it from a safe distance, or at least as safe as possible with the gravity manipulation, now he had to use it up close, but he actually chucked at this. “At least you have shown that you are stronger than your previous form; Griffith, but that’s not much of a feat.” Gilgamesh remarked, prior to zipping towards Femto.
All the Hawk of Darkness could do at that point was stand there and watch, as he saw the mercilessness that Gilgamesh had with him out in it’s full form, which needless to say, was not a pleasant sight to behold for Femto.
HACK! HACK! HACK! RIIIIP!!
Gilgamesh used the Harpe to swing violently at the completely vulnerable Femto, which dug not one, not two, but four large gaping wounds into the chest of Femto, as more of both the Hawk of Light and the Hawk of Darkness’s blood were gushing out, but the God Hand was still able to notice that Gilgamesh was stationary on the ground, which could be his best chance.
Femto shot upwards into the sky, before he started to breech his reality warping prowess for the first time, and this first timer would be the charm alright, as it spread out throughout the entirety of the Earth.
View of the Earth
Up in the void of space, it was clear that Femto was using this in order to change the face of the Earth itself, causing Gilgamesh to be stunned for a brief moment where he was standing as this occurred around him, and it appeared to be almost never ending, at least, it seemed that way.
After a good while of tampering with both reality and the third planet of the Solar System, Femto had put his reality warping to good use, good enough that he had briefly stunned Gilgamesh for his very last attack, but certainly not his least, the polar opposite in fact. As Femto utilized his gravity manipulation to start generating none other...
...Than a miniature black hole.
Black Hole
Gilgamesh quickly snapped back to his senses, as he was getting sucked into the Black Hole that was rapidly forming around him, and it never seemed to stop doing so, as the Immortal Slaying Scythe was departed back to the vault, leaving only Gilgamesh and Ea, still emitting the red aura like before, but this one being much more excessive than the last.
“Even with your little scythe you are nothing to me, and now you might as well be, nothing.” Femto jeered, as he was about to crush Gilgamesh when using this black hole, but in the King of Heroes’ mind, there was no way that he would ever let this happen on his watch, no way was he gonna give up now. He could, and he will, put an end to this. That was all that could run through his head.
As Femto was about to end the day off with the crushing of the black hole and the king inside it, he appeared to be ascending from it, with Ea pointed upwards, emitting the brightest aura of red once could ever conceive.
“I speak of genesis. Bring forth the stars that weave all of creation!” Gilgamesh began, as Ea projected it’s maximum output of wind pressure, distorting the surroundings. Femto just stared at the magical energy that was overflowing, before he heard the words that both the Hawk of Light, and the Hawk of Darkness would remember, for all eternity.
“ENUMA ELISH!”
The attack was launched forward at Femto, as Gilgamesh brought forth the true power that Ea had manifested, as it charged throughout the entirety of the fight, with the King of Heroes zipping away with the Ship of Light getting withdrawn from the Gates of Bablyon, going completely out of sight, before...
BOOOOOM!!
The entirety of the home planet Earth was destroyed by the blast that Enuma Elish displayed, as Gilgamesh was able to use the Ship of Light to watch the carnage unfold from a distance, crossing his arms, sipping his godly wine from the golden chalice, he knew that the business with both Griffith and Femto was taken care of.
“You certainly were relentless I will admit, along with your god-like status. But you should have expanded your knowledge past one simple magic trick and your mouth, mongrel.” Gilgamesh closed off, as he would eventually get to rebuilding the Earth, someday.
K.O!
“You are a disgrace to the God Hand, as manipulative as you are as a ruler, you fail to show your true potential, our true potential.” Was the last thing that Griffith could hear from the Idea of Evil, as he began to descend into what seemed to be an inferno blazing madness, as more voices were picked up by his ears.
“You are our prodigy, our newest kinsman, our wing of darkness; Arise, Femto.“ Griffith recalled that this was none other than the void, as he ascended to what he had become. He started to reflect back on his choices he had made, ambition over comradeship, God Hand over Band of the Hawk and godhood over humanity. “GRIFFITH!“ Guts’ voice shouted, before one final voice came along that brought Griffith to his end...
...His own.
“Death on the battlefield comes regardless of class, royal or common. The loser must die!“ After hearing this, all Griffith could do is spend eternity, wasted away. Hoping that perhaps a different timeline might turn out better than this.
Conclusion[]
Wiz: Well, that’s something you don’t see everyday, wouldn’t you agree Boomstick? ...Boomstick?
The sound of a door opening plays, followed by Boomstick letting out a burp
Boomstick: Was too busy getting my hands on that golden chalice of godly wine, what did I miss?
The Death Battle rewinds to the ending, followed by a silence
Boomstick: ...Oh my. Them swords and shit, AND THAT GOLDEN DRILL THAT CREATES THE HEAVEN-
Wiz: Ahem, while Griffith wouldn’t stand much of a chance against Gilgamesh in his human form, once he was able to shift into Femto, he provided much more of a challenge. Being equal in smarts, and boosting his strength and speed.
Boomstick: But it was still not enough to compete against Gilgamesh in a one on one fistfight I would say, while Gilgamesh’s physical strength is hard to determine, using the Ship of Light, Gilgamesh’s Faster than Light speeds would make him practically untouchable.
Wiz: But this would be where Femto’s gravity manipulation would come into play, and it did actually manage to give the Gates of Bablyon a run for it’s money, able to rid of almost any threat that came his way. Keyword being, almost.
Boomstick: Weapons such as Ea and Harpe would still do plenty of damage to Femto, the latter of which having the damage be incredibly long lasting. And once the former was fully charged, Enuma Elish would screw him over completely.
Wiz: Though Femto could have potentially killed Gilgamesh before this was possible, that’s more of an ‘if’ scenario, especially considering that Femto’s black hole attack would mean practically nothing to Gilgamesh, as he has gotten out of black holes before, with just his willpower.
Boomstick: “But Wizard, shouldn’t Femto be completely intangible to Gilgamesh’s attacks!?”
Wiz: Well, as for some of the items in the vault I could see, but Gilgamesh himself is spiritual in it of himself. Even if he wasn’t, something like Ea, which distorts reality as it pleases, would do the trick. And Femto’s vague durability level ultimately ended up sealing the deal.
Boomstick: Griffith could have won, but instead he Fem-totally blew it.
Wiz: The winner is, Gilgamesh.
