History[]
Created by Father two centuries ago as the third member of the Homunculi, Greed left the group a century after his creation as he felt Father's agenda deprives him of his vices: riches, status, and women. Having liberated former state militants used in chimera experimentation to serve as his posse, Greed sets up shop in the Devil's Nest bar in the town of Dublith. Having learned of the Elric brothers, Greed believed Alphonse made by his ticket to true immortality. But it results in a series of confrontations that lead to Greed being captured by King Bradley and melted down to be ingested by Father when he refuses to willingly return to his creator's side. In his final moments, Greed curses his siblings and Father before he was reduced to his constituent Philosopher's Stone.
But that is not the end of Greed as he was reconstituted in the body of Ling Yao to fill the empty space left by Lust's death. Though it seemed Greed was an entirely different person, memories of his former self gradually surface and he once more becomes a wild card on the Promised Day that Father has been preparing.
Death Battle Info[]
As a Homunculus, Greed can regenerate from any wound, enhanced strength and speed, and near immortality as long as he does not overexert the Philosopher's Stone which is the core of his being. But Greed's signature ability is Ultimate Shield: Rearranging the configuration of carbon atoms of his skin to harden it. While he normally uses it for his arms and chest, Greed can fully convert his body to reassemble a black-skinned demon with a malevolent skeletal visage. In rare cases, Greed can turn make his body as frail a graphite.
