History[]
Unlike many in his position, Gordon found out at a young age that he was an Inhuman, and when a teenager he was allowed to go through terragenesis. When he finished his transformation, he found that he had lost his eyes, but had gained some psychic abilities, including the ability to teleport. At first, he could not control his abilities, and he would teleport randomly. However, Jaiying, an Inhuman leader, taught him how to control his abilities, and she made him one of her most trusted lieutenants.
Operating out of Afterlife, Gordon became Jaiying’s connection with the outside world. He brought people into and out of Afterlife, located and protected Inhumans, and provided subjects for Jaiying’s need to take human life to support her own. When Jaiying launched her war with S.H.I.E.L.D., Gordon was instrumental in taking her people where they needed to be, and in securing the terrigen crystals and the Kree construct known as the “Monolith.”
When Jaiying ordered Gordon to break the terrigen crystals, Gordon found them guarded by S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Alphonso Mackenzie, so the two began to fight, with Mack finding it impossible to hit Gordon. Mack was eventually reinforced by Agents Coulson and Leopold Fitz, and Fitz used a “quantum-field disruptor,” which blocked Gordon’s ability to leave the room. During the heat of battle, Gordon teleported behind Fitz, but accidentally materialized in the same space as a pipe that Fitz was holding, which killed him.
