Godzilla vs Jormungandr (SMITE) is a What-If! Death Battle and is settled to be BigBangOverlord's 2nd written battle in the year 2019, it features The King of Monsters, Godzilla and The World Serpent, Jormungandr from the SMITE Universe.
Description[]
Featuring as a tribute to the entries of Legendary Monsterverse films, Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Godzilla vs Kong. The King of Monsters himself will be facing the one of the major architect of the great Ragnarok, the World Serpent himself. Jormunagndr. Which of these Godly-titled Titans will prove themselves to be larger than life?

Bang: I got 3 big words that can describe this upcoming fight..."Let them fight!"
Alisa: One, a prehistoric force, reborn from a nuclear flames that awoken him. The other, a prophesized collosus that is the major architect that shall end the Asgardian Gods. These monsters have brought fear upon their rivals and proven themselves to be larger than life!
Leone: So let's pin these epic Titans into one hell of a kaiju fight!
Bang: Godzilla, The King of the Monsters!
Alisa: And Jormungandr, the World Serpent.
Leone: For a less confusing version for all of those readers out there, we are using Jormungandr from the SMITE universe, not from Marvel, DC, Anime or GOW (God of War) Alternatives, and since SMITE is the closest verse that is canonically basing on the actual Norse Mythology, we are somewhat panning canon-World Serpent against the Big G himself.
Bang: I'm Bang the Dragon, she's Leone of Night Raid, and she's Alisa the Russian Weaponist…
Alisa: And it is our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle!
Godzilla[]

Bang: In the year 1954, when 2 bombs decimated the land of Japan, this triggered the nuclear war.
Alisa: History has changed forever, one way or another. As the American's tested their new weapon. They have awakened something.
Bang: This prehistoric force of nature, born and empowered under a nuclear explosion, rises from the sea and brought destruction of titanic proportions to the land of the rising sun. They called him..."Gojira".
Leone: Or how the world will forever know him as the King of Monsters: Godzilla.

Alisa: Throughout the passing years, he is depicted as many things, but all pointing to one common plot.
Bang: Godzilla was a prehistoric beast of biblical proportions, an ancient superspecies. A god on the top of the primordial food-chain.
Alisa: For over 60 long damn ears, this Kaiju literally turned Japan into his personal play-zone and territory.
Bang: He is both a savior and a destroyer depending on the situation. But his existence has 2 main goals, to bring balance in the natural order, an remind all of us that using nukes at one another is a motherf**king bad idea!
Leone: Godzilla has evolved to have different abilities throughout his recent reboots. Let us stick to the most common and most famous ones, specifically, his signature, the Atomic Breath.
(*Cues: Mothra's Theme - Queen of the Monsters *)
Bang: The Atomic Breath's is Godzilla's most famous and iconic form of fire-power. This blast can take in an forms and power from a blast of blue flame made of pure radiation or a purple lazer that can cut anything in half to a simply red-hot beam that can obliterate ANYTHING it comes in contact to.
Alisa: This attack can nearly incapacitate and kill nearly all of any enemies Godzilla has faced. The common Atomic Breath can burn down metal, stone, soil, armor. The purple laser beam can cut through buildings and can travel from far distances and the Red Atomic Breath is his last resort in destroying his most powerful foes, from Kaizer Ghidorah to Space Godzilla.
Leone: Or you're noisy indoor neighbor who just can't stop yapping at one another for no reason.
Bang: Godzilla is extremely strong. He channels his godly strength through his claws and tail and can perform feats of strength, such as the likes of tossing his rival and arch-nemesis Ghidorah, whose latest form weighs up to 100 thousand freakin' tons.
Leone: He even bodily lifted Biollante, one of Godzilla's largest enemies, this plant-based creature weighs up to 220,000 tons.
Bang: Godzilla can temporarily absorb electricity to produce a electromagnetic pulse and can absorb radiation in any manner. Godzilla's durability, fast regenerative healing ablities, and stamina are extremely high. His body can evolve from damages and can produce new moves when he needs to counter some shit.
Alisa; Like that time when Shin Godzilla literlaly evolvd to shoot goddamn lazers from his mouth, his back and his f**king tail. GOD Japan!! As if a giant dinosaur that breath fire wasn't enough, you make him shoot lazers too!?
Bang: As mentioned form the Big G's first Death Battle . Godzilla has 44 known victories, largely due to his insane durability. He's fallen into a volcano, survived a black hole, and tanked a meteorite point-blank... without a scratch.

Leone: And even more impressively. After absorbing the ashed from Rodan and from Mothra, as well as juicing in too much radiation. Godzilla can enter a state in what the fans have called "Burning" mode, where in this form, he is literally heating up and can emit red radioactive pulse so hot, it incinerated Ghidorah and trumping the 3 headed dragon's extremely fast healing factor.
Bang: And you know why he's called, The King of the Monsters.

Jormugandr[]
(NOTE: Upon checking the SMITE game, S'ince SMITE is relatively closely using the canon Mythology as heavy references not unlike either the Comics or Movies, we can safely say, they're roughly the same info.)'

Bang: Before the age of man came, the primordial world was once ruled by powerful and omnipotent beings. Mortal man simply know them today as Gods.
Leone: Basically, all of the Gods were hudled in one universe where all of them existe in unison, and since no God can agree on who is better, guess the one thing they can settle it all with?
Alisa: WAR!!.
Bang: Divided between the Asian Gods, the Olympian Gods, the Mayan Gods, The Egyptian Gods, and yes, the Asgardian Gods, these factions began to go in a literal primordial war that the Gods alone are not fighting on.
Alisa: Correct, you see, not only the Gods are going to war, famous mythological legends and icons are also joinging the fray: The Good such as the famous Hercules, King Arthure, Merlin. The Bad such as Fafnir and Baron Samedi, and the Ugly.
Leone: This war has also open up the possibilities of setting up the prophesized apocalytpic events on their respective mythos, but let's focus on the big metal doomsday everyone loves called 'Ragnarok'
Bang: Indeed, the event that will end all Asgardians, with the key members of Loki's chldren, specifically, the most vile of the 3. Jormundanr.
(*Cues: Jörmungandr (Midgard Serpent) - Danheim*)
Bang: Jormundanr, famosuly known as the World Serpent is a dragonic serpent offspring of Loki and a female giant, born with the mosntrous Fenrir and the nightmarish Hel. Jormugandr was expected to have some special abilities despite only looking like a small python when he was just a baby.
Alisa: His growth spurt kinda went overboard too as the Asgardians notices that he was gettng so big, they have to throw him into the ocean...That was a good solution....Until-
Leone: He grew so huge, the ocean can no longer hide the giant-ass snake. So they literally threw him into space, where they think it will still a good solution...Guess what happened.
Bang: Jormundanr grew so large this time, he literally can wrapon half of his body around the world, thus earning his name among the Gods, after year of being discriminated for being a mosnter, Jormugandr grew to hate all Asgardians and plot to rid of them all, in the SMITE universe, it was he and his brother who shall begin the days of Ragnarok, literally making him the architect of the event.
Alisa: He is a monster in battle, it was he who is destined to end the Thunderer, Thor, who in return hall end him as well.
Leone: Knowing the war of the Gods will fasten the events of Ragnarok, Jormugandr i preparing to go all out.
Alisa: He has limited but seriously unrivaled abilities. Most famously, HE IS SO DAMN HUGE, he can not be knocked out or displaced from where he is positioned.
Bang: And doesn't need too, due to his size, he has learned to use Norse magic to alter his size and use wormholes, somewhat similiar to DC Comic's New Gods and their Boom Tubes, Jormugnadr's full size would be enough to wrap around the Earth 3 times, if recalling Wiz's calculations right.

Leone: Jormungandr's Venomous haze is a noxious spit at an area that deals damage and creates a large toxic cloud. This field damages and slows Enemies inside of it every second. Though the damage dealt weakens if he uses this too much.
Bang: The Venomous Haze can also create dark clouds around when firing, which Jormugandr uses to empower himself and unleashes a powerful bellow that can damage nearby enemies.
Alisa: And like a worm, he can bury himself underground and do a "suprise mothafucka" attack from bellow.
Bang: And topping his abilties all off with his ultimate, well literally called "The World Serpent".Jormungandr prepares to enter into the world, growing into his full size as leaps off from a new wormhole and dives down mouth first into a crowd of enemies, which he can do twice.
Feats:[]
- 4In the SMITE Universe, he, along with Fenrir are the main cause for Raganrok to happen.
- So big that not even the strongest among Gods can even push his altered size: Despite this ability, Thor both in mythology and in-game was proven by far to be the only god to move him with brute strength.
- Has regenerative abilities.
- Was prophesized to slay Thor, though in return was kille dby Thor as well.
- Literally wraps himself around the world.
- So huge, he can literally swallow amries of Gods.
- By simply roaring, can shatter mountains and tremble seas.
- Matched Thor's strength
Leone: Featuring the feats from the canon mythology, Jormugandr's size and strength almost makes him get away from mostly anything, from killing numerous gods up to causing earthquakes and even swallowing the Moon and Sun once. He matched Thor in strength and was the one who got him killed though the former being killed by Thor in return.
Alisa: Though it is because of his size, he is a pretty hard target to miss, he is also killable by extreme primordial force.
Bang: Let us also mention that his healing factor can also tire and becomes slower if overabused and Jormugandr is aggressive though cunning.
Alisa: Thus giving you every right to fear the World Serpent.

INTERLUDE
Alisa: Alright, both combatants are set and ready to fight...
Leone: It is time to see which of these two monstrous dieties of Biblical proportions will take this titanic face-off?
Bang: It is time to let the Titans Fight...LET'S GET READY TO RUUUUUUMMMMBBBBLLLLEEEEE WITH DEATH BATTLE!!!!
FIGHT
(*BG Music: Godzilla VS Kong Theme: Orchestral Remix*)
Swimming onto the seas in voyage to keep everything in balance, the King of the Monsters, Godzilla, 6th sense has warned him of a new upcoming challenger whose existence has proven to threaten and destroy the very balance of nature. Angered by this, Godzilla lets out a deafening and iconic bellow and begins swimming towards the nearest main land like a runaway torpedo.
On the mainland of Tokyo, a large shadow-like portal spin around in the center of the busy city, from it out came the World Serpent and symbol of Ragnarok, Jormungandr. He lets out a earth-shaking roar and spew purple haze of poison across the city, contaminating people and destroying objects around him.
Jormugandr: "You are all creations from the Gods who denied me my place. For that, all of humanity shall pay for the Gods' mistakes."
As Jormugandr was about to spew even more venom. A roar came from the seas. Jormugandr ceases and turns to see the great kaiju rising from the seas and making his way into the mainland. Godzilla emits a powerful roar that rivals Jormugandr's, Jormugandr roars back in return.
Jormugandr: "You will not stop me from delivering humanity's penance, foul beast of Midgard."
Jormugandr exits out of his portal fully and slithers towards Godzilla. Godzilla begins running towards him and shatters one building down that was blocking his way.
Jormugundr's flexible body gives himself the advantage as he slithers from Godzilla's tackle attempt and bits down on the back of Godzilla's neck and begins to coil around him, but Godzilla uses the heat from his radiation to increase his body's heat which burned Jormugandr's mouth. As Jormugandr recoiled, Godzilla fires his atomic beam towards Jormugandr, sending him crashing towards several buildings before Godzilla pulls him back towards him by the tail. Godzilla raises his massive foot to stomp on Jormugandr but the giant serpent recoiled and fires himself towards Godzilla with a cobra-like strike. Sending them both tumbling over the broken city. Jormugandr coiled around Godzilla once more but Godzilla anticipated this move as he grabs ahold on Jormugandr's body and gives him a vice like grip, his claws penetrating deep into the serpent's scales. Godzilla bites down on Jormugandr and shakes him violently. In retaliation, Jormugandr raises his long tail and slams it on Godzilla's body which caused him to release his grip on Jormugandr. Godzilla quickly whips his tail on Jomugandr;s head before he falls down. Jormugandr coiled fully over Godzlla and begins constricting the king. Jormugandr chuckled sinisterly as he glares at the kaiju.
Jormugandr: "I will take pleasure in crushing all of your bones into a mountain of dust..."
As Jormugandr coiled tightly, Godzilla's dorsal plates and body begins glowing. Godzilla with enough energy releases a powerful atomic pulse from his spine which sends the giant serpent flying in mid-air. Which gives Godzilla a chance to tackle the serpent down and begins dealing a lot of bites and scratches. Jormugandr tackles over Godzilla and fires his haze towards him, which the latter responds in kind by firing his atomic breath, The atomic breath is too powerful for the haze to overpower and thus the giant serpent lost the battle of firepower demonstration, heavily damaging his face. The giant serpent hissed and creates a portal for him to escape. Godzilla grabs ahold of him to drag him back but Jormugandr strikes at his shoulder and bites through, causing Godzilla to recoil and him entering the portal. Godzilla growled as he looks at the portal slowly shrinking but in a way is getting closer to him, Godzilla pauses and by the moment the small rift is next to the King of the Monsters, it expanded to a vast size and The World Serpent shoots up from the portal in full size and slams onto Godzilla the first time. Sending him flying, the second attack sends Godzilla crashing down, the third time Jormugandr shoots up. Godzilla shoots again his atomic breath towards the serpent's eye. Jormugandr riled up and screeches and bellowed as Godzilla tackles his half body on where the portal links the Earth to his dimension. Even if being smaller than the full sized serpent, Godzilla easily hold onto him and prevented the serpent to even coming up or withdrawing back down. Jormugandr is helpless as Godzilla emmits one more Atomic shockwaves which damaged the full sized serpent. Jormugandr falls onto his portal, seemingly defeated. Godzilla exhales thick air out of his nostrils and turns to walk away from the destruction.
Jormugandr: "I will not be denied of my revenge!"
Jormugandr shoots out of the portal one-more time towards Godzilla as they both roll over and fall into the sea. They two massive leviathans wrestled like sumos. Even having the length and mass advantage, Jormugandr is easily outmuscled by Godzilla, who grabs ahold of his head and opened his jaws and shoots his atomic breath, at that moment, Jormugandr fires his Venomous Haze, the atomic breat is too hot for the haze to overpower and thus the atomic fire blazes into Jormugandr and caused the World Serpent's neck to implode and decapitated the serpent. Godzilla turns to the sky and releases a powerful and victorious roar and drops the Serpent's head as it's decapitated head and headless body both sink into the sea, to where Godzilla returns and swims into the depth, but not before emmitting another more powerful roar, sending a message to all species that the King of the Monsters should not be challenged for the crown.

RESULTS
Bang: All Hail the King Ladies and Gentlemen!
Alisa: Godzilla was a destructive force of nature indeed, his battle experiences and his evolutionary adaptions has given him major advantages over the World Serpent.
Leone: Though the World Serpent didn't made the fight any easier for the big guy, well...They're both big so well um..You know.
Bang: Jormugandr's abilities to alter his size on any environment and travel at any location by his wormholes gives him a speed and long-range advantage, however when it comes tobrute force, extreme firepower, regenerative abilities and indominable force. Godzilla got him beat.
Leone: One of his weaker incarnations matches Marvel's Thor in brute strength, and this Thor is much, much stronger than SMITE's version of Thor, which in turn is equally strong to the main Norse Mythos Thor.
Bang: Which in terms, because SMITE is adapted from the actual mythos. This incarnation of Jormugandr is only as strong as Main Mythos Thor, making him much weaker towards Marvel's Thor and Composite Godzilla at its fullest.
Alisa: Also in terms of Godzilla, his atomic breath can destroy the likes of Kaiser Ghidorah and Space Godzilla, these two monsters are proven capable to be more powerful than Jormugandr. Also Shin's Gojis' evolutionary adaptation gives Godzilla the edge to adapt and gets stronger in the fight.
Leone: Jormugandr's Venomous Haze can inflict damages to Gods, but it doesn't show full capabilities to oneshot Gods, and also confirmed that the more Jormugandr spams this attack, the weaker it affects will go. And people would comment that Godzilla cannot use the Atomic shockwave since he wasn't powered b overcharged radiation, Rodan's ashes or Mothra's ashes depending on which incarnations we are going with.
Bang: But that doesnt mean he cannot emmit this move, he uses a weaker version during his fight with M.U.T.O. Prime aka Jinshi Mushi, literally sending a much heavier kaiju flying in the air with just one blast.
Leone: And Jormugandr's healing factor is shown to be far less affective and adaptive comparing to Goji's healing factor. Jormugandr got his head smacked and he cant recover from that while Godzilla literally exploded and his heart remained but he recovered just fine afterwards in according to the directors of that Goji's incarnation.
Bang: While Jormugnadr has shown to earn the title of 'Ragnarok' or 'God-Eater'...This is nothing comparing to the likes of a kaiju who has fought the former's stronger version of his arch-nemesis, a space clone and even Devil with 3 heads. Godzilla stomped them all.
Alisa: The World Serpent did Ragna-rocked the fight, but in the end Godzilla has proven to earn the crown.
Bang: The Winner is Godzilla...
