Description: Godzilla vs. Leviamon. Two giant sea-dwelling, god-level dragons who hold titles of royalty.
Introduction[]
Wiz: There are few things more exciting than seeing two powerful opponents going head-to-head in an all out brawl.
Boomstick: And when those two combatants are giant kaiju monsters, there’s nothing you could ask for more.
Wiz: Godzilla, the undisputed King of Monsters.
Boomstick: And Leviamon, the digital Demon Lord of Envy. He’s Wiz, and I’m Boomstick.
Wiz: And it’s our job to analyze their strength, speed, and abilities to find out who would win a Death Battle.
Godzilla[]
Wiz: Have you ever looked down at insects and wondered what it would be like if you and the rest of humanity were that small compared to a giant creature?
Boomstick: Nope, the thought’s never once so much as crossed my mind.
Wiz: Well, Japan decided to answer that question anyway when they gave us the giant, primordially, amphibious lizard who would come to be known as the King of Monsters. Say hello to Godzilla.
Boomstick: And I am so pumped for it! And actually, Wiz, it’s technically pronounced “Gojira”.
Wiz: Well, whatever you want to call him, he’s a giant, prehistoric, living nuclear weapon that has acted as both a savor and a destroyer.
Boomstick: We mean the real one, ok, not that mutant iguana looking one TriStar Pictures gave us. I will never forgive them for that!
- Background
- Age: 65,000,000 – 298,000,000 years (estimate)
- Height: 84 – 999 feet
- Weight: 600 – 100,000 tons
- Japanese name: Gojira
- Primordial giant kaiju
- Holds the title of King of the Monsters
- Powered by nuclear energy
- Serves as protector and destroyer
- Archenemy of King Ghidorah
- Rivalry with King Kong
- Has a symbiotic relationship with Mothra
Wiz: Awaken from an ancient slumber from the bottom of the Pacific Ocean after America decided to test out their hydrogen bombs, Godzilla would become both the bane and the salvation of Japan.
Boomstick: The world, Wiz, the world. Most of his battles may take place in Japan, but the number of monsters whose assess he’s kicked over the years has definitely saved the world. And I am definitely here for it.
Wiz: It’s a bit of a contradictory nature on his part, but Godzilla does seem to be both a protector and a destroyer, both toppling major cities and saving them from other giant monsters, known as kaiju. Really, Godzilla only directly attacks cities and such when humanity is doing something it really shouldn’t be.
Boomstick: That or it’s accidental since the guy is so damn big. Depending on which version of him we’re talking about, he ranges from as small as 84 feet to as tall as 999 feet. Seriously, they couldn’t have him break 1,000? Ah, whatever. Just think of him like a normal person walking through the woods and such and unintentionally messing up insect homes, like ant hills and spider webs.
Wiz: Technically, spiders aren’t insects, Boomstick, they’re arachnids.
Boomstick: Neeeerd!
Wiz: Words matter, Boomstick, and so does accuracy. As for Godzilla’s size, most variations of him are around 300 to 500 feet. And being so tall, it’s almost expected that whenever he appears, destruction will follow.
Boomstick: Yeah, but he really only appears in order to fight against other more violent kaiju, which happens way more often than you would think it would. Usually he just chills in the ocean, but when another monster appears to challenge him for his crown, old Godzy, is more than willing to put them in their place and assert his dominance.
Wiz: Godzilla’s greatest nemesis is the giant three-headed dragon monster known as King Ghidorah, and the two have clashed several times, but Godzilla has also faced off against a number of other giant monsters, such as Rodan, Gigan, the Mutos, Destoroyah, Orga, King Kong, MechaGodzilla, and a many others. And more often than not, Godzilla has come out on top.
Boomstick: Well yeah, of course he can, ‘cause he’s the freakin’ king! But when he does have a tough time, he can get a little help from his monster moth buddy, Mothra, whose been his enemy, ally, and even his love interest… Yeah, that last one doesn’t really make much sense.
Wiz: It’s really more of a symbiotic relationship, Boomstick. And while Godzilla does sometimes get assistance from his fellow kaiju, there’s not much he can’t handle, especially with his assortment of abilities. His most iconic attack, however, comes in the form of his Atomic Breath.
- Powers and Abilities
- Atomic Breath (blue, orange, red, purple)
- Red Spiral Beam
- Nuclear Pulse
- Fire breath (orange and blue flames)
- Flight (via Atomic Breath)
- Regeneration
- Resurrection/Reincarnation
- Burning form
- Radiation emission
- Energy and radiation absorption and transfer
- Incredibly strong (not taking his size into account)
- Incredibly durable
- Knows judo and boxing
- Nuclear energy charged physical blows
- Weapons – claws, fangs, spiky dorsal fins
- Magnetic powers
- Can breathe underwater
- Transformation (some versions)
Boomstick: Yeah, baby, now that’s what I’m talking about! I love watching him blast things with it! He’s all like, Ima firin’ mah lazer! Bwaaaa!
Wiz: You’re really leaning heavily into the pop-culture references today, aren’t you?
Boomstick: Bwaaaa!
Wiz: Being nuclear powered, Godzilla’s Atomic Breath is his signature attack and go to move. With it, he fires a bright blue beam of nuclear power to destroy anything in his path. This is done by absorbing the radiation around him, allowing him to fire these heated beams of pure radiated plasma, that are capable of pushing back Ghidorah, who weighs in around 141,056 tons, meaning they must contain an energy yield of at least 3.15 × 1,014 joules, and will reach temperatures of at least 900,000 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s about 90 times hotter than the surface of the sun, allowing him to use it to tunnels all the way down to the Earth’s core.
Boomstick: And if you think that’s hot, you should see his other colored beams. Depending on how much radiation he absorbs, he can fire his orange Atomic Breath or even his Red Spiral Beam.
Wiz: While Godzilla’s Atomic Breath has changed over the years, his Red Spiral Beam has been calculated to be around 1,620,000 degrees, and when fully charged has reached temperatures as high as 2,160,000 degrees. It was with this beam that he was able to destroy SpaceGodzilla.
Boomstick: Which is kind of weird since blue fire is supposed to be hotter than orange or red.
Wiz: You… actually know that?
Boomstick: Nah, I Googled it.
Wiz: But Godzilla’s arguably most powerful Atomic Breath though would probably be his purple Atomic Breath, which he gained after adapting the atomic energy from B-2 Bombers. With this new purple laser, he can cut through seemingly anything, though it should be noted that this doesn’t necessarily makes his purple Atomic Breath the hottest. But based on what we’ve seen from the different versions, Godzilla’s strongest Atomic Breath would be at an even greater intensity than a supergiant star.
Boomstick: And him having badass breath isn’t just limited to atomic energy since we’ve also seen him breathe fire, with both orange and blue flames. You know, for when he wants to have a nice home-cooked meal.
Wiz: But Godzilla’s breath can also be used in other ways aside from simply firing it. For instance, if he closes his mouth when using it, he unleashes a powerful shockwave, or by firing it in the opposite way he wants to go, he can use it to propel himself through the air, which is no small feat considering he weighs as little as 600 tons to as heavy as 100,000, depending on his size.
Boomstick: Bet you didn’t know Godzilla could fly, did you? Bet you also didn’t know that he somehow knows judo and boxing, or that he can channel his nuclear energy into his blows. Now that’s badass.
Wiz: It should come to no surprise that while Godzilla may not be all that fast, he is incredibly strong, and not simply due to his immense size, as he’s been seen tossing around kaiju weighing in at tens of thousands of tons. His arguably biggest display of strength would be when he lifted the 200,000 ton Biollante Neo, or when he picked up and threw the 150,000 ton MechaGodzilla II.
Boomstick: Ok, enough of the small scale stuff, let’s get to the big guns. Yeah, you heard that right, we haven’t even gotten to the big guns yet. Like with how he can fire atomic rays from his dorsal fins, or how he can conduct energy and absorb radiation, or how he has magnetic powers. And let’s not forget about my favorite, his Nuclear Pulse.
Wiz: Godzilla’s Nuclear Pulse is quite possibly his most powerful and most devastating attack. After absorbing enough radiation, he can unleash a wave of atomic energy to annihilate everything in his path. Arguably his best demonstration of this was after absorbing the energy from a nuke and then having his power amplified by Mothra’s essence falling upon him, allowing him to achieve his Burning form. In this superheated state, he was able to level an entire city and obliterate most of Ghidorah.
Boomstick: Come on, Wiz, you’re totally lowballing it. Old Godzy was packing so much heat and power that entire buildings were melting into puddles all around him in seconds just from him walking by. Like, how do you stop someone like that?
- Feats
- Won over 48 kaiju battles
- Survived Hell
- Killed several gods
- Fought the Avengers, the Champions, the Fantastic Four
- Destroyed Mount Olympus, half the moon, and Earth (when fighting SpaceGodzilla)
- Regenerated from a beating heart
- Broke a continental plate
- Withstood a psychic attack from Miki Saegusa
- Matched Thor in strength
- Fired his Atomic Breath to the Earth’s core
- Generated over 1,000 earthquakes in under an hour
- Vaporized the Bay of Bengal
- Swam through Earth’s mantel
- Survived and escaped a mini black hole
- Survived a meteor, 150 nukes, Atomic Freeze Cannon, the Oxygen Destroyer, Hedorah’s acid, being crushed beneath 100,000 ton kaiju, a fall from the upper atmosphere, the extinction of the dinosaurs, the Permian-Triassic Extinction event
Wiz: Well, many have tried and failed, more than once too. In fact, he once fought 10 kaiju in a row and came out on top, and has even defeated stronger clones of himself, even when they’ve been spliced with the DNA of other kaiju, such as Ghidorah. He’s also fought against several kaiju at the same time and still won. He’s defeated an army of MechaGodzilla Drones, has been sent back in time and done battle with dinosaurs, and he even destroyed the mythological eight-headed dragon-serpent, Orochi, and Magita, who was so large that she completely dwarfed Godzilla.
Boomstick: Still lowballing him, Wiz. Come on, get to the good stuff, like how he held his own against the Avengers and the Champions, or how when he was shrunk down to human size and fought against the Fantastic Four, and was still able to damage The Thing and break through the Invisible Woman’s forcefield, which can contain a supernova. Hell, the guy’s even managed to destroy Mount Olympus and kill several Olympian gods and monsters, including Zeus, as in the king of the Greek gods! I can even get more biblical and point out how he survived being in Hell, and while he was there, he kicked the asses of several demonic kaiju, including a demon version of himself! There’s just no stopping him!
Wiz: Careful, Boomstick, your inner fan-boy is showing.
Boomstick: Wiz, I really don’t care. For Godzilla, I’ll proudly geek out. Watch. He’s matched Thor in strength, and the thunder god’s literally been able to lift the Midgard Serpent. He’s generated over 1,000 earthquakes in under an hour, broke a continental plate, destroyed a forcefield powered by a black hole, obliterated half the moon, and one of my favorite of his most badass moments, used his Atomic Breath to destroy a massive rogue star that was 62,000 times denser than Earth. And in his fight with SpaceGodzilla, actually destroyed Earth. He even killed Shinomura, who can regenerate from a single cell. I love it! Godzilla is the freakin’ boss! *Pant. Pant*
Wiz: Take a breath, Boomstick! Breathe!
Boomstick: Can’t! Too hyped up!
Wiz: Ok then… moving on. Godzilla isn’t just powerful, he’s also incredibly durable, and has a lot of stamina, having faced off against King Kong for 12 hours straight, and was then still able to fight MechaGodzilla. This extends to willpower as well, as he’s been shown to be able to resist the mental attack of the powerful psychic, Miki Saegusa.
Boomstick: Probably because he’s got two brains. It’s like he double-teamed her.
Wiz: In regards to his durability, he’s survived being drowned in Hedorah’s acid sludge, lived through the events that wiped out the dinosaurs and the Permian-Triassic Extinction event that wiped out 90% of all life, survived and escaped a mini black hole, which has gravity so great that not even light can escape it, and has even withstood being hit point blank with an Absolute Zero Cannon and 150 nuclear bombs. A single nuke contains a yield between 10 tons and 50 megatons of TNT, with a single megaton being equal to 1,000,000 tons.
Boomstick: Pfft, all that and you’re still lowballing. Godzilla was once carried up to the upper atmosphere and was dropped back down to Earth with a 100,000 ton kaiju on top of him, and he wasn’t even hurt. He shook off a freakin’ meteor crashing into him like it was nothing. He’s even–
Wiz: You… really like Godzilla, don’t you?
Boomstick: So what, Wiz? Are you saying you don’t like Godzilla? Blasphemy!
Wiz: I like Godzilla!
Boomstick: I said blasphemy!
Wiz: I do! I just know how to control myself and remain unbiased.
Boomstick: Ah, the heck with you. Godzilla is the kaiju top-dog, I truly pity anyone who thinks they can defeat the King of Monsters.
Wiz: It would certainly be very difficult, as not only is Godzilla incredibly durable, but also possesses the ability to regenerate. We’ve even seen him regenerate from just a beating heart.
Boomstick: Yeah, but even if by some miracle you do manage to actually kill him, it wouldn’t matter, because Godzilla can actually reincarnate himself since the true form of Godzilla is inexhaustible, perpetual energy. Nuclear energy, sure, but still energy, and he can only be destroyed when reality itself is destroyed. So Godzilla can just keep returning to life whenever he wants, even if his whole body is destroyed.
Wiz: This reincarnation ability comes from Godzilla’s growing understanding of our reality. In fact, the energy Godzilla is manifested from actually comes from the mountain entity known as the God Mountain, whose body is made of kaiju parts and forms the base of Hell, and even has the power to create its own universe. It’s within this universe that the lesser god that would come to be known as Godzilla was formed from, and so was recruited to fight with the evil counterpart of the God Mountain.
Boomstick: And Godzilla totally beamed the hell out of him. And the God Mountain was stated to be as strong as the Abrahamic god who created the entire IDW multiverse, who Godzilla also blasted and basically killed him.
Wiz: To make a long story short, God created the Hell God, the destroyer and lord of darkness, and the Heavenly God Mountain, the creator and lord of light, and the God Mountain, who was larger in comparison and connected both. Godzilla was born from the universe created by the God Mountain and was a neutral party in the eternal conflict between the other of gods, and basically went on to defeat both of them. Which only goes to show that even a god can fall before a Godzilla.
Boomstick: So does that mean that mean that Godzilla could actually destroy all of reality since he beat the one who created it?
Wiz: Well, that’s debatable, as the ability to create is not the same level of power as the ability to destroy. For example, you may be able to kill another man with your bare hands, but that doesn’t mean you would be able to destroy the house he built with your bare hands.
Boomstick: What the hell kind of an analogy was that, Wiz?
Wiz: A fairly accurate one, thank you very much. But be that as it may, it is true that it’s been speculated that Godzilla could indeed destroy reality.
Boomstick: And that’s why when you hear someone yell ‘Run, it’s Gojira’, you damn well better listen.
Leviamon[]
Wiz: Imagine a world made entirely out of data. Imagine it being an alternate dimension to our own world, existing not just as a single realm, but as an entire multiverse of infinite alternate realities. This is the Digital World, a world inhabited by strange creatures known as Digimon, short for Digital Monsters.
Boomstick: Now imagine a group of seven super evil beings based off the princes of Hell, who are the literal incarnations of the Seven Deadly Sins. Including this guy, Leviamon, the Demon Lord of Envy.
- Background
- Age: Unknown
- Height: varies
- A Mega level Digimon
- Typically Digivolves from MarineDevimon
- Former Guardian of the Net Ocean
- Holds the title of The Demon Lord of Envy
- Known as the “Devil Beast” and the “Abyss of Despair”
- The physically strongest Digimon
- Based off the demonic sea serpent, Leviathan
- Represented by Mercury and the spirit Ophiel
- Sleeps in the depths of the Net Ocean closest to the Dark Area
Wiz: As one of the Seven Great Demon Lords, Leviamon is one of the most evil and most powerful Digimon around, who seeks to dominate not just the world, but the entire multiverse itself alongside his fellow Demon Lords, who are normally kept in check by their rivals, the thirteen Royal Knights.
Boomstick: He may just look like a big red crocodile, but trust me, this is not someone you want to mess with. He usually Digivolves from a MarineDevimon, but this guy isn’t just a Mega level Digimon, he’s one of the strongest ones around.
Wiz: Mega is a term in reference to the evolutionary levels and stages a Digimon goes through. Upon hatching from its egg, a Digimon will evolve, or Digivolve, through the stages Baby, In-Training, Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, and, finally, Mega, the highest level there is, although Megas are capable of Digivolving to even more powerful Megas.
Boomstick: Hold up, Wiz, don’t forget about the Ultra level. That’s a stage above Mega. Buuuuut it’s so rare it’s practically non-existent. It doesn’t really matter though, because the power of a Mega varies and goes pretty much all over the place. And Leviamon’s level is one of the most outrageous.
Wiz: Typically, a higher stage is more powerful than a dozen Digimon of the previous level, but when it comes to the Mega level, the power difference between Ultimate and Mega could be tens or hundreds or even thousands of times more powerful.
Boomstick: And Leviamon is definitely on the high end. Most Megas wouldn’t stand a chance against him; the guy could easily take out an entire army on his own in an instant like it was nothing.
Wiz: Formerly a protector of the Digital World before becoming a Demon Lord, Leviamon is now known to sleep at the bottom of the Net Ocean closest to the Dark Area, and it’s said that if he’s ever awakened, he will despise and look down on any high-ranking Digimon, especially at the top.
Boomstick: Not that anyone is in a hurry to wake him up. Leviamon is so big and so powerful that no one dares to disturb him, and even angel and demon Digimon will run away from him in terror. Leviamon won’t even answer to other Demon Lords, who are actually afraid of him. And seeing as the other Demon Lords are on par with or are even stronger than literal deities, you know that’s badass.
Wiz: Being a Demon Lord, Leviamon is based off the giant, demonic sea serpent, Leviathan, hence his name, and represents the sin of Envy. It’s even believed that Leviamon is actually some kind of godly, primordial eldritch being that simply took up residents in the Digital World. Interestingly, when his own digital code is examined, his appears to be similar to nothingness. This leaves many unanswered questions, but it’s said that Leviamon builds the foundation for wickedness itself in the Digital World.
Boomstick: Yeah, I’m not really sure what all that means, I just know that this guy is seriously packing. Not only is he really big, he’s super powerful. Trust me, he’s not called the Devil Beast and the Abyss of Despair out of sheer terror for nothing. This guy’s attacks are out of this world.
- Powers and Abilities
- Attacks – Shell Shock, Thunder Breath, Curse Breath, Water Breath, Breath
- Physical attacks – Biting Crush, Tail Strike, Duo-Tail Strike
- Omnipresent existence
- Infinite speed
- Immeasurable strength
- High intellect
- Data absorption
- Overriding reincarnation
- Conceptual manipulation
- Manipulation of fire, water, air, soul, and mind
- Can crush the world in his jaws
- Capable of devouring the multiverse
- Attacks as Leviamon X – Seventh Lightning, Rostrum Tridens, Cauda Mortifera
Wiz: As a Digimon, Leviamon possesses a series of different attacks exclusive to him. Most of his attacks feature some kind of powerful, destructive breath. He’s been known to breath fire, expel jets of water, or even launch a beam of pure energy.
Boomstick: Forget his actual attacks, Leviamon’s very breath is cursed. The guy can even create a dark tornado simply by breathing. And then he’s got his other attacks, such as his ability to create massive whirlpools, or send up giant pillars of water. Or he could just smash everything with his two tails. And don’t even get me started on his jaws.
Wiz: Leviamon’s jaws are probably his most defining feature, and with good reason.
Boomstick: Well, no kidding. They’re like the length of his entire body if you don’t include his tails. Can you imagine if he managed to bite you with those things?
Wiz: That would be the absolute last thing you would want, as it’s said that the force of Leviamon’s bite could actually crush the entire world in his jaws. Assuming that the Digital World is relatively the same size and density as the Earth, for Leviamon to be able to do this would require 225 million trillion, trillion joules, and yes, I’m aware that I said trillion twice. For an idea of what this would be, one would need to gather together all the energy that hits the planet for 23,100,000 years and unleash it all at once.
Boomstick: And Leviamon has got at least that much force in a single bite. That’s absolutely insane! Hell, forget the world even, it’s said that Leviamon could actually use those choppers to devour the entire multiverse. Just how much power is his guy packing?
Wiz: Well, in terms of physical strength, we don’t actually know, as Levimon’s strength is stated to be immeasurable. However, he is specifically stated to be the physically strongest of all Digimon, excluding those he combines with of course since the combined Digimon would have Leviamon’s strength on top of the strength of whoever else he merges with.
Boomstick: And trust me, that’s a very big deal, especially when we see that some Digimon are capable of doing things like holding up an entire universe to keep the Real World and the Digital World from crashing into each other during a dimensional collapse.
Wiz: But Leviamon isn’t just incredibly powerful, he’s also highly intelligent, having been around since the Digital World began. And despite resembling a big red alligator, he’s actually a very skilled fighter, and can contend with the most skillful of combatants. That is, if he even chooses to engage in combat at all since, as a Demon Lord, he’s able to create special viruses that can drive others insane.
Boomstick: Not even the Digimon Sovereign or their master, Huanglongmon, are immune to these viruses, and they’re basically the equivalent of literal gods. Hell, Huanglongmon has been called the god of the Digital World, and could even easily destroy the entire universe at will with a single attack. So if not even someone like that can resist Leviamon’s power, you know this guy’s bad news.
Wiz: In terms of actual power, Leviamon is not just a multiverse level threat, he’s actually classified as a metaverse level threat, meaning his power exceeds infinite dimensional space. This is in part due to the fact that Leviamon is an embodiment of the sin of Envy.
Boomstick: That ain’t just a title either, it also comes with perks. In fact, Leviamon’s Envy sin power actually increases any damage he does to anyone by 15% more than it naturally should. That’s like taking the full damage of one of his attacks plus interest. Kind of seems like cheating to me, but would you honestly expect Demon Lord to play fair?
Wiz: As a Demon Lord, Leviamon also possesses a type of immortality, where he will exist as long as evil and darkness exists. But even if he is defeated, it will cause a backlash on his opponent by inflicting a proportion of karma on them.
Boomstick: If you know about Digimon, you should be aware that all Digimon are basically immortal and never really die. Instead, whenever they’re destroyed, their data just gets reconfigured and they start over again as eggs, sort of like a kind of reincarnation.
Wiz: Yes, but as a Demon Lord, Leviamon has the power to override this reincarnation process, and instead he will have his victims become a part of his own flesh.
Boomstick: Hehe, imagine getting stuck as part of Leviamon’s ass. But all joking aside, Leviamon really is one massive powerhouse. Hell, just the digital memory of him was able to create a massive whirlpool and cripple Ebidramon. The mere memory of him! And he only gets stronger with the increase of evil and wickedness in the universe.
Wiz: If all this wasn’t impressive enough, Leviamon actually possess a level of omnipresence, where he exists in every timeline in every parallel version of the Digital World across the multiverse. This is because, as a Demon Lord, his power transcends space and time.
Boomstick: So if you were hoping to just hop universe to get away from him, you’re out of luck, because there’s guaranteed to be another Leviamon waiting for you no matter what universe you jump into. Well, at least in the Digital dimension.
Wiz: It should be noted though that all these Leviamon are, for lack of a better word, fakes. They’re actually a sort of avatar or a copy of the real Leviamon that he generates and sends out into the multiverse to rule in his stead.
Boomstick: That’s because the real Leviamon, along with the rest of the Demons Lords, known as the True Demon Lords, are actually within this place called the Dark Area, which is basically a dimension of darkness within the Digital World that’s even worse than Digimon Hell, and is where all the evil in the Digital World comes from. And if you think these avatars are bad, they got nothing on the real deal.
Wiz: As powerful as these avatars are, the True Demon Lords are immensely more powerful. In fact, the true version of each Demon Lord is supposedly infinitely greater than all of their weaker avatars put together.
Boomstick: Wait, so if there are infinite universes, that means there’s infinite Leviamon avatars. So the real Leviamon is infinitely stronger than infinity? What the hell does that even mean?
Wiz: Yes, it’s a bit of an abstract concept, but so are the Demon Lords themselves. And, unfortunately, this isn’t even the limit of Leviamon’s power. Should he ever get ahold of one of these, an X-Antibody, he can go through X Evolution to upgrade further to Leviamon X.
- Feats
- Achieved X-Evolution
- Escaped the Dark Area
- Created infinite avatars spread across the multiverse
- Fought other Demon Lords
- Created the foundation for all wickedness in the Digital World
- Fought and overpowered several Royal Knights
- Nearly destroyed the Digital World
- Helped defeat MegaDarknessBagramon
- Created a massive whirlpool and crippled Ebidramon (as a memory)
Boomstick: And if you thought the regular Leviamon was bad, you should see this guy. Not only does he gain the ability to go from simply hovering in the air to actually flying around with his new wings and bursts of energy, he becomes not just the lord of the sea, but also the land and sky as well, and he actually makes it a point to try and devour everything. One time he even tried to eat an entire Dimensional District just because he could.
Wiz: Becoming Leviamon X not only comes with a new form, it also comes with a tremendous power boost, enough to allow him to escape the confines of the Dark Area. He also manifests the crown of the sin of Envy, and he also gains a new attack where he unleashes lightning from his three horns that can sink whole continents into the sea with a single blast, and that’s the minimum of this attack’s power.
Boomstick: And if he really wants to go big, he can merge with the other Demon Lords X and this guy Diaboromon X, to become Ogudomon X. And, ma-an, is this guy bad news. He’s so powerful he can kill anyone and anything just by touching it.
Wiz: It’s been stated that Ogudomon X is a Digimon whose very existence is a threat to the entire universe and can cause it to collapse even if he’s simply standing idly by and doing absolutely nothing. It actually took Jesmon GX using a hack move that automatically destroys anyone the attack hits no matter how powerful they are to defeat him. We mention this because if we consider that Leviamon X makes up 1/8 of Ogudomon X, that would mean that Leviamon X counts for about 12.5% of Ogudomon X’s power.
Boomstick: And just for the record, everything we’ve been saying is still just one of his avatars we’re talking about, not the actual Leviamon.
Wiz: But be it the real Leviamon or just one of his avatars, this is definitely one Demon Lord you do not want to encounter.
Interlude[]
Wiz: Alright the combatants are set. Time to end this debate once and for all.
Boomstick: It's time for a Death Battle!
The Battle[]
Within the city of Tokyo, someone is on a computer in a computer shop. Suddenly, the image of Leviamon appears on the screen, confusing the user, who clicks on the image. The screen begins glowing, and a stream of electricity bursts out of it. This mass of electricity flies outside the computer shop and up into the air, manifesting into Leviamon.
Hovering above the city, Leviamon roars, and his roar is instantly followed by another roar. Leviamon turns around to see Godzilla emerging from the sea and stepping onto land. He roars at Leviamon again, who simply roars back as the two prepare to face off.
FIGHT!
Leviamon flies at Godzilla, who spins around and swings his tail. His tail strikes Leviamon, sending him flying backwards. He halts his momentum in mid-air before turning back to Godzilla and snarling. Godzilla stomps his foot and snarls back.
Leviamon: “Water Breath!”
He opens his mouth and unleashes a massive stream of water. It slams into Godzilla, pushing him back slightly, but Godzilla cries out and begins pushing his way forward through the stream of water. He reaches Leviamon and throws a punch, knocking Leviamon back.
Leviamon stops spraying as he regains his momentum. Godzilla comes at him again and begins slashing with his claws. He scratches Leviamon a few times before leaning back to balance on his tail, jumping up, and kicking out. His feet slam into Leviamon, and the Demon Lord goes flying backwards. He crashes through several buildings before slamming into one and dropping to the ground, and the building collapses on top of him.
Dropping back down, Godzilla roars and begins marching over to the rubble. Leviamon suddenly bursts up from beneath it, shaking his body like a wet dog before floating straight up into the air and beginning to twirl around. As he spins, his two tails stretch out, extending in length. One slams into Godzilla’s side, and he gets knocked into a building. Leviamon stops spinning and flies over to Godzilla, landing by his feet. As Godzilla starts to get up, Leviamon chomps down on his tail and begins shaking his head.
Godzilla is pulled off the ground and begins getting slammed about as Leviamon shakes his head, crashing Godzilla into buildings and the ground. Leviamon then flies straight up, yanking Godzilla along with him, and begins spinning around until both he and Godzilla resemble a rotating blur, then he releases him.
Godzilla goes flying through the city, crashing through building after building before he finally skids across the ground. Leviamon hovers in the air and snorts, releasing a rainbow-colored cloud of smoke from his nostrils. Godzilla gets back up and turns around as his fins begins glowing bright blue. He releases his atomic breath, propelling himself through the air like a rocket.
Leviamon: “Cursed Breath!”
Taking a deep breath, Leviamon breathes out a massive tornado that flows towards Godzilla. The vortex collides with him, but Godzilla keeps coming, pushing right through the tornado and slamming into Leviamon. The impact sends Leviamon flying backwards. He bounces across the ground as Godzilla lands, then turns to him as his fins start glowing again and he fires his atomic breath.
The blue beam Godzilla fires strikes Leviamon while he’s down, pushing him across the ground all the way into the ocean. Godzilla stops firing and begins approaching, but Leviamon immediately bursts up from under the water and hovers above the surface. He roars loudly and pillars of water rise up around him, and he lashes out with his tails, sending out a massive tsunami as tall as the buildings rushing towards the city.
Godzilla stands his ground as the wave plows into him. As the water level lowers, Leviamon comes leaping out of it, his jaws snapping at Godzilla. Godzilla manages to catch him, holding him at his sides as Leviamon’s jaws snap just out of range. But then Leviamon stops trying to bite him and suddenly stabs forward with his tails, stabbing Godzilla in the gut. Godzilla cries out and slams Leviamon down onto the ground before leaping up and doing a body slam on top of him.
He stays on top of Leviamon, but then suddenly rises into the air. Leviamon is standing on his hind legs, lifting Godzilla into the air. He throws Godzilla away from him across the city. He then chomps into the side of a building and rips the entire structure out of the ground.
As Godzilla gets to his feet, Leviamon rises into the air and throws the building at him. Godzilla spins around and uses his tail to knock the building aside. He then turns back to Leviamon as his fins begin glowing purple and he fires his purple Atomic Breath.
Leviamon: “Shell Shock!”
He fires a beam from his mouth, and it meets Godzilla’s atomic breath. The two beams collide in midair and begin pushing against each other for several long moments as the city crumbles around them. But then Leviamon opens his mouth wider and unleashes more energy. His attack overpowers Godzilla’s atomic breath and blasts him off his feet.
Godzilla falls back and skids across the ground, slamming into a nuclear power plant. He roars loudly before slumping over as Leviamon approaches and hovers in the air in front of him. Godzilla glares at him and tries to get up, but falls over again.
Suddenly, something catches Leviamon’s eye. Flying from up above is Mothra, who flies in front of Godzilla. She places herself between the two of them and screeches.
Leviamon: “Thunder Breath!”
Opening his mouth, Leviamon breathes out a massive stream of fire. It flows over both Mothra and Godzilla. Mothra screeches and burns to ashes. Dust from her wings float down and cover Godzilla, and the flames from Leviamon’s attack cause the nuclear power plant to explode.
The explosion consumes most of the city, and even Leviamon is thrown back from the blast. He shakes it off though and looks back to where Godzilla was, but only sees a massive cloud of smoke rising up. Leviamon snorts and turns to leave, but then a loud roar comes from within the cloud of smoke.
As Leviamon glances back at it, Godzilla comes stomping out of the smoke, his whole body glowing as if he were on fire on the inside. All around him, the destroyed buildings melt away into pools of liquid metal as Godzilla approaches. Leviamon turns to him and roars. Godzilla roars back and suddenly erupts. A dome of nuclear energy flows out of him, burning away everything in its path. The Nuclear Pulse flows over Leviamon, setting him ablaze, and he goes spinning through the air.
Godzilla stomps after him as Leviamon halts his momentum. Godzilla stops underneath him and unleashes another Nuclear Pulse. This one blasts Leviamon high into the air, and before he can recover, Godzilla bends over and fires a series of beams from his fins into the air in all different directions. Leviamon is struck by the beams and drops from the sky. As he falls, Godzilla spins around, channeling his nuclear energy into his tail, and whacks Leviamon with it.
Leviamon hits the ground as Godzilla turns back to him. Opening his mouth, he unleashes his Red Spiral Beam. It strikes Leviamon, tearing apart the city in the process, destroying everything in its path. In a view from space, a massive groove is seen being torn in Japan from the attack, essentially creating a giant bay in the country.
Godzilla stops firing as he stares at the destruction he caused, seeing no sign of Leviamon, and he roars to the sky in victory. But suddenly, Leviamon bursts up from underwater and shakes himself dry in the air before turning back to Godzilla and roaring. Godzilla roars back, and Leviamon’s eyes suddenly flash brightly. A distance away in the destroyed computer store, one of the computers turns on, and something suddenly pops out of it. It’s a red and blue orb with an X inside of it.
The X-Antibody flies out of the shop and across the battlefield, over to Leviamon. Upon touching his body, Leviamon starts glowing, and in a flash of light, he becomes Leviamon X. He snarls at Godzilla, who roars back, and Leviamon X flies high into the air. His Crown of Envy begins glowing with power, and lightning begins dancing around his horns.
Leviamon X: “Seventh Lightning!”
He launches his attack down at Godzilla. Once more from space, electricity is seen dancing across a portion of the planet. It spreads from Japan all across Asia and Australia, and the two continents crumble apart and sink into the ocean, leaving only five continents remaining and nothing but open water where Asia and Australia once were.
Back down at the surface, Leviamon X hovers in the air. He looks around for a bit when suddenly Godzilla’s fins appear in the water behind him before sinking beneath the water. Leviamon X turns around, but the fins are already gone. They appear behind him again as Godzilla circles him like a shark, but by the time Leviamon X looks, the fins have disappeared again.
Leviamon X lets out a frustrated snarl and roars. Beneath him, a whirlpool suddenly forms and begins rapidly growing in size as it expands outward. After a few moments, Godzilla rises to the surface and roars as he’s caught up in the whirlpool. He rises and sinks beneath the surface as he struggles against the whirlpool’s current. Leviamon X lowers down into the funnel as he watches Godzilla rise and sink beneath the water’s surface.
The water suddenly explodes as Godzila leaps out of it and grabs hold of Leviamon X before splashing back down into the water, taking the Demon Lord with him. There’s a struggle beneath the surface of the water as the two fight, and the whirlpool collapses around them.
For several moments, the water’s surface is calm, but then Leviamon X bursts out of the water. Godzilla surfaces a moment later after him, and Leviamon X doubles back and swoops down at him, opening his mouth to bite. Godzilla reaches up and grabs Leviamon X’s top and bottom jaws. Then he begins firing his atomic breath directly into Leviamon X’s mouth.
Leviamon X snarls and thrashes about as the atomic breath is launched down his throat, but then his jaws suddenly snap shut on the attack, and on Godzilla’s fingers. Godzilla roars and rips his hands free of Leviamon X’s jaws, losing his fingers in the process. Leviamon X immediately lunges at him at him and clamps his jaws down around Godzilla’s neck, tackling him beneath the surface.
After several seconds, Godzilla’s fins appear, and then the water suddenly turns red. A moment later, the water explodes, and Leviamon X flies up into the air with Godzilla’s head in his jaws. Down below, more of Godzilla rises, revealing his headless body as he floats to the surface.
Leviamon X flips Godzilla’s head up into the air and swallows it in one gulp. Then he turns back to Godzilla’s body and uses his Shell Shock attack, firing a beam from his mouth that reduces Godzilla’s body to ashes. Leviamon X lets out a snort as he needs in satisfaction before roaring loudly in victory.
KO!
Leviamon X is seen flying on land surrounded by different kaiju. He roars at them and they all bow, except for King Kong, who pounds his chest in challenge, and Leviamon X obliterates him with a single attack.
Outcome[]
Boomstick: Ladies and gentlemen, the King of Monsters has fallen… And I am super pissed off about it! Buuuut I guess Godzilla’s title doesn’t extend to Digital Monsters.
Wiz: Godzilla has faced a number of powerful monsters, but he’s never faced anyone at the level of Leviamon. Sure, Godzilla had the size advantage, at least assuming this is Leviamon’s actual size and he can’t alter it like several other powerful Digimon can, and it is heavily implied that Leviamon is one of them, but in terms of speed, physical strength, intelligence, and overall power, Leviamon greatly exceeded him. And when it comes to the level of power for Digimon, size really doesn’t matter in the least.
Boomstick: You may be thinking, how could Godzilla, who’s defeated literal gods, get beaten by a Demon Lord? Well, as much as I hate to admit it, the Demon Lords are stronger than gods.
Wiz: Well, not all gods. For example, a god Digimon like Susanoomon is stronger than a Demon Lord, as demonstrated in his fight with Lucemon, the strongest of the Demon Lords, but there are other god Digimon who are the equivalent of the deities they’re based on, such as the Olympos Twelve being Digimon versions of the gods of Olympus, and Leviamon is far stronger than them.
Boomstick: While Godzilla defeated several of the Olympian gods too, along with other deities, you have to remember that this is still Leviamon’s avatar we’re talking about, not the True Demon Lord, who is stated to be infinitely stronger.
Wiz: It should be noted that while Godzilla did beat the Hell God and the Abrahamic God, who are definitely more powerful than the Olympian gods, we also saw this other Demon Lord, Barbamon, completely take over Yggdrasil, who is basically the Digimon equivalent of the gods Godzilla defeated. And Leviamon is at least just as powerful as Barbamon, possibly even more so. And again, this was done by the avatar of Barbamon, not the True Demon Lord. And if Leviamon’s avatar is just as strong or stronger than Barbamon’s avatar, that means that the True Demon Lord Leviamon is infinitely stronger than an avatar that matched Godzilla’s god destroying feat.
Boomstick: Yeah, if we’re being honest, even an avatar of Leviamon would have been able to defeat the most powerful version of Godzilla at his strongest, and he wouldn’t even need to become Leviamon X to do it; he’s that powerful.
Wiz: To give you an idea of the power gap between the two, Godzilla at his strongest is classified as a solar system destroyer. A very impressive level of power, but still well below Leviamon. Even if we massively high-ball that and bump Godzilla up to a galaxy level, or even a universal level, it still pales in comparison to Leviamon, who is, at minimum, at a multiverse level.
Boomstick: But wasn’t it stated that Godzilla was capable of destroying reality?
Wiz: Well, kind of, but that’s more along the line of speculation. And since Godzilla is getting stronger as time goes by, this seems to be more along the lines of Godzilla’s potential, where over time he could become a universal threat, not that he currently is. We can’t rank him at a level of power he might reach in the future. But even if was capable of such a feat, it’s still below the multiverse level that Leviamon is at, especially when he can reach as high as metaverse levels. And again, this is just Leviamon’s avatar.
Boomstick: That’s not to say that Godzilla couldn’t harm Leviamon, it’s just not going to do much in the long run. Everything that Godzilla is capable of with his different attacks, abilities, and levels of power, there are also Digimon with the same skills who can match and even surpass him, and Leviamon greatly outranks them, and is more than capable of taking hits from such attacks. Hell, even MetalGreymon is capable of creating a nuclear blast with one of his attacks, and he’s only an Ultimate. So a Mega like Leviamon who is stronger than most other Megas would just shake off most of Godzilla’s attacks.
Wiz: Contrary to that, even if Godzilla could stand against the kind of attacks that Leviamon uses, the level of power in them goes far beyond anything Godzilla has shown to be capable of withstanding. Even when it comes to physical strength, Leviamon’s was, quite literally, infinitely stronger than him, especially when it came to his bite.
Boomstick: No kidding. Remember, Leviamon’s jaws are strong enough to crush the entire planet in them, and even devour the entire multiverse. There was no way Godzilla was going to be able to hold open those babies once Leviamon tried to close them. As soon as Leviamon had him in his jaws, Godzilla was pretty much screwed.
Wiz: But even if Godzilla was capable of matching Leviamon in terms of power, don’t forget that as the Demon Lord of Envy, Leviamon can’t actually be destroyed as long as envy exists. True, this doesn’t apply to his avatars, but it does for the True Demon Lord Leviamon. And even if Godzilla still managed to somehow destroy him, Leviamon would just be reborn and start over as a Digi-Egg, although he would need to build up his power and experience from scratch.
Boomstick: Hold up, didn’t we say that Godzilla has the ability to reincarnate too?
Wiz: Well, yes, but it’s not the same. Godzilla’s ability to reincarnate comes from his growing understanding of our reality. However, Leviamon is not of our reality since he’s from the Digital World, and more or less exists as the manifestation of a concept. But even if that wasn’t the case, don’t forget that as a Demon Lord, Leviamon has the power to override the reincarnation ability of those he kills and add them to his flesh and blood. So not only when he killed Godzilla did he have the means to make sure Godzilla stayed dead, he would have made Godzilla become a part of himself; in theory making Leviamon even more powerful than before.
Boomstick: Poor Gojira. Not only did he pick a fight with someone who beat him, but Leviamon also had the power to make sure he stayed down for good. I was rooting for him, but I guess a king is just no match for a Demon Lord.
Wiz: The winner is Leviamon.
