Toho vs Daei! Godzilla finally goes up against Gamera's most recurring foe! Who will come out on top?
Note: For this fight, the Original Godzilla will be used, as well as the Showa Gyaos.
Interlude[]
Tabashi: In 1965, Gamera was created as a box office rival to the King of the Monsters. We all should know that by now.
Angel: But today, Gamera’s not going up against Godzilla. Instead, it’s his most recurring foe!
Tabashi: Godzilla, the King of the Monsters.
Angel: And Gyaos, the Shadow of Evil.
Tabashi: For this fight, we will be examining the Original Godzilla, as well as the Showa Gyaos. So no Super or Hyper Gyaos here!
Angel: He’s Tabashi and I’m Angel!
Tabashi: And it’s our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win in a Death Battle!
Godzilla[]
Tabashi: The year was 1954, and Japan was not looking good.
Angel: Yeah, if two nuclear bombs dropped on me, I'd be a little messed up, too.
Tabashi: Unfortunately for Japan, though, something much, MUCH worse would come to ravage Tokyo.
Angel: Godzilla, the King of the Monsters. This radioactive reptile was woken up by the nukes, and he was PISSED at humanity for disturbing his sleep. So, like any civilized Kaiju, G54 ravaged Tokyo, destroying buildings and killing humans. Damn man, we didn't mean to wake you up!
Tabashi: Anyways, the military was sent to kill Godzilla, but it was all in vain when he busted out his big guns: the Vapor Breath.
Angel: Wait, Vapor Breath!?
Tabashi: No, not like that! It's just his Atomic Breath in black-and-white!
Angel: Oh, my bad. Anyways, Godzilla seemed unkillable, and the Japanese needed something to defeat him. So a guy named Daisuke Serizawa came up with an answer-
Tabashi: -In the form of one of the deadliest, most badass weapons in Kaiju history: the Oxygen Destroyer! This baby releases a deadly chemical called Micro-Oxygen, which kills its victims by destroying organic matter on atomic levels, causing the de-cohering of the surrounding atoms, thus disassembling the targets.
Angel: This results in the victims either melting them down to the bone, or (when the Oxygen Destroyer is used to its full potential) disintegrating everything completely. Also, the O² Destroyer has a power output of 23.4 Petatons-10 Exatons of TNT, so there's that, too. So yeah, long story short, Serizawa used his weapon on Godzilla, killing him for good and ending the franchise right then and there.
(*both of them start laughing hysterically, which goes on for about 10 minutes.*)
Tabashi: Yeah, hell no it didn't! But G54 still had a few abilities, so let's run through them. In his movie, he stood at 164 feet (or 50 meters) tall, and weighs 20,000 metric tons. Because of this, we can safely assume he can lift at least 20,000 metric tons.
Angel: And this Godzilla, for his size, is decently fast, being able to walk/run at (well, at the very least, anyway) around 77mph. His swimming speed is likely higher than that, and he can react to jets that can fly at 683mph.
Tabashi: Oh, by the way, when we factored in his travel speed and weight, we found out that G54 has a kinetic energy yield of (again, at the very least) around 3 tons of TNT. In addition to his strength and speed, G54 also has average intelligence, superhuman stamina, and can survive temperatures ranging between 212-2,597.1°F.
Angel: But his most famous ability is, of course, the Vapor Breath. It can reach temperatures of 2,597.1°F, and 11 Megatons of TNT in power output.
Tabashi: G54 has survived 50 kilovolts (or 1.2 tons of TNT) of electricity with absolutely no damage whatsoever, and was swimming in the section of the ocean he was boiling with his Vapor Breath.
Angel: And, as per usual, this Godzilla is invulnerable to conventional military firepower. But this Godzilla is not without his weaknesses. Those are... uh... actually, what the f@#k are this one's weaknesses!?
Tabashi: Well, while G54 doesn't have any specific weaknesses, he is sorely lacking in true fighting experience, as he hasn't fought any other Kaiju before. Also, the Oxygen Destroyer did, for all intents and purposes, kill him. Also, compared to the other incarnations of Godzilla, G54 is quite slow.
Angel: But if that's all that's holding him back, you'd better not screw with the Original Godzilla!
Gyaos[]
Tabashi: The year was 1967, just two years after Gamera attacked Japan and one year after he fought his first opponent.
Angel: A chain of seismic activity had caused Mount Fuji to erupt, and, to make matters worse, a weird green glow was emanating from a cavern on the side of the mountain. When some U.N. scientists traveled to the cavern in a helicopter, something bizarre happened.
Tabashi: A yellow laser cut the copter clean in half, killing everyone on board!
Angel: Enter Gyaos, the Shadow of Evil and Gamera's most recurring foe. This giant ripoff of the Fire Demon ravaged a village, killing adults and kids alike. And that's why Gyaos qualifies as one of the five Malicious Man-Eater Kaiju.
Tabashi: Anyways, after eating a reporter and capturing a kid, Gamera arrived to fight Gyaos, rescuing the kid at the cost of a Supersonic Scalpel shot to the right arm. Gamera then retreated to the ocean to heal his wounds, while Gyaos ravaged the city of Nagoya.
Angel: An operation called "Operation: Merry-Go-Round" was put into action to stop Gyaos, but it didn't work, so Gamera had to come back to stop Gyaos once and for all.
Tabashi: Which he did by forcing Gyaos into a volcano. But Gyaos still was powerful enough to challenge Gamera, so let's talk about his abilities. He stands an impressive 197-213 feet (60-65 meters) tall, and has a wingspan of 328-564 feet (100-172 meters) as well as a weight of 25-60 metric tons. Also, this incarnation of Gyaos can fly at Mach 3.5 (2,685.4mph).
Angel: That gives him a KE yield of 4.3-10.3 Tons of TNT. In addition, like most flying Kaiju, Gyaos can create hurricane winds just by flapping his wings. Gyaos is also a nocturnal creature, so naturally, he has a poison gas he can emit from his "nipples", which doubles as the world's largest fire extinguisher! What the hell were these guys on when they created Gyaos' abilities!?
Tabashi: A lot is my guess. Anyways, Gyaos also has a powerful healing factor, as it was able to regrow a severed foot after (possibly) an hour. But Gyaos' most iconic trait is undoubtedly the Supersonic Scalpel.
Angel: This baby is actually created by Gyaos' super sonic scream, so the Supersonic Scalpel can resonate at 3,000,000 hertz, travel at Mach 2.39-4.72 (1,834-3,622mph), and (in a similar manner to Shin Godzilla) slice neatly and cleanly through objects. Also, the source of the Supersonic Scalpel is apparently having a fork-shaped throat with two spinal cords.
Tabashi: Gyaos' feats include fighting Gamera twice (and actually defeating him in their first encounter), surviving being spun around rapidly while drinking blood, and his Supersonic scalpel easily cut through Gamera's right arm. Gamera (in the very same movie) survived a collision with an asteroid, which yielded 6-7 Megatons of TNT. And Gyaos' Supersonic Scalpel EASILY tore through Gamera's arm!
Angel: But as powerful and versatile as Gyaos is, he still has his fair share of weaknesses. Having two spinal cords means Gyaos can't turn his head sideways (just up and down), and he is vulnerable to his own Supersonic Scalpel, since he managed to sever is own foot off while Gamera was chomping on it.
Tabashi: Also, since Gyaos is a nocturnal creature, he can't be exposed to sunlight, or else he'll shrivel up and die. However, that problem can be solved with the poison fog. Also, Gyaos seems to be pretty weak to fire in general, since... well, there's a reason why the fog extinguishes flames!
Angel: But from dusk 'til dawn, you'd better watch out for the Shadow of Evil!
Death Battle![]
Tabashi: All righty then. The combatants are set, and we've run the data through all possibilities.
Angel: It's time for a Death Battle!
Pre-Fight[]
Tokyo Bay
It's a calm night in Tokyo Bay. It's been 66 years since Godzilla died, and most people have forgotten about him. But tonight, they would remember, for the ocean started bubbling, and a massive behemoth rose up. It was none other than the Original Godzilla, and he was pissed at people having forgotten about him. Well, NOBODY forgets the King of the Monsters and lives to tell about it! Gojira thought.
Tokyo, Japan
People are running from Godzilla's destructive path, screaming "ゴジラ!" ("Godzilla!") as they flee. Suddenly, a green, circular portal appears, and Deadpool, The Mask, and the Teen emerge from it.
Teen: Oh great! Now where the heck are we? I'd set the coordinates for Verse 9796959!
Deadpool: Um, Tokyo?
The Mask: Why the hell are we in Tokyo at nighttime?
Suddenly, a loud STOMP was heard, and people everywhere started running. The Teen stopped a man that was running.
Teen: ティーン:何が起こっているのですか?どうしてそんなに怖いの? (What's happening? Why are you so afraid?)
Man: (In a very terrified voice) ゴジラは死者から戻ってきました!あなたの人生を大切にするなら実行!
The man then runs off, terrified.
Deadpool: What did he say?
Teen: (With a shocked look on his face, all the color drained from it.) He said, "Godzilla is back from the dead! Run if you value your life!" But he couldn't possibly mean—
The Kaiju came into view, revealing it to be, in fact, the Original Godzilla. The Teen was utterly terrified now, eyes bulging and jaw dropped.
Teen: B-b-b-but that's impossible! He was killed by the Oxygen Destroyer! I sure hope he's fighting someone powerful—
A Kaiju suddenly zoomed over the buildings, roaring whilst doing it, and landed near Godzilla. The Kaiju was none other than Gyaos, the Shadow of Evil. Gyaos had claimed Tokyo as his food territory in the wake of Godzilla's death, and now that he was back, Gyaos would have to fight him for it.
Teen: (After somewhat recovering from his shock) We need to get to a rooftop! I need to watch this!
Deadpool: Why are you so afraid of this Godzilla? He's not that powe—
Teen: I'll explain later! Right now, we need to get to a rooftop! Mask, do you have any snacks left in your pockets?
The Mask: You know I do!
Teen: Good. We're gonna need them and some drinks, too. This is gonna be a long one.
The two titanic, titular, tyrannical Titans of terror squared off, ready to fight, while the trio went to a building's rooftop to watch the fight.
Godzilla started walking towards Gyaos, who flapped his wings in response. The wind stopped Godzilla in his tracks for a second, but he resumed his walk towards the Shadow of Evil. Gyaos then took to the air, mildly surprising Godzilla. Gyaos then flew around Godzilla, smacking into the King of the Monsters again and again.
Godzilla was getting mad. When Gyaos flew to smash into him once more, Godzilla blew out a stream of Vapor Breath, with Gyaos just barely dodging it. Gyaos then decided to return the favor by firing his Super Sonic Scalpel, which sliced right through Godzilla’s left arm. Godzilla roared in pain, and started walking away to destroy more buildings. Gyaos was shocked that this creature didn’t give more of a challenge, and flew after him. What the Shadow of Evil did not know, however, is that he was falling right into Godzilla's trap.
Godzilla had his back turned to Gyaos, but he could hear the creature coming. Just as Gyaos got within range, Godzilla suddenly turned a swift 360, slapping Gyaos into a building with his tail. Gyaos was stunned, but not unconscious, so when Godzilla fired his Vapor Breath to finish the job, Gyaos spat out his Super Sonic Scalpel to counter the Vapor Breath. It was all in vain, however, since the Vapor Breath overcame the Super Sonic Scalpel. Gyaos used his poison gas to try to extinguish the flames, which it did, but Godzilla just kept on blasting the Vapor Breath.
Eventually, Gyaos screamed as the Vapor Breath overcame the poison gas, and turned the Shadow of Evil into a smoking, crispy carcass.
Godzilla proceeded to have a feast, chomping on Gyaos' carcass, while the trio watched on.
Teen: ...Well, Tokyo's screwed!
Results[]
Angel: Damn, that was awesome! But why is Godzilla eating Gyaos? I thought he only ate nuclear materials.
Tabashi: I... don't know, actually. I guess he wanted to try to eat something new?
Angel: Sure, I'll take it. Anyways, this was a pretty obvious win for Godzilla, right? I mean, he's the frickin' King of the Monsters for God's sake!
Tabashi: Actually, this one was closer than you might think. While Godzilla quite obviously had the strength advantage, Gyaos was actually many, MANY times faster. He can fly at 2,685.4mph, while Godzilla can move at 8.5mph. That is ~316x faster! Also, intelligence was kind of hard to decide, since both ended up being smarter in a couple different ways.
Angel: For example, Godzilla has enough cognitive thought to know that humanity practically destroyed his species (which puts his intelligence at "average"), while Gyaos mostly relies on its instincts. However, Gyaos had experience on his side, as he's fought Gamera (a fire-breathing Turtle Titan, mind you) and therefore would have some counters to Godzilla's attacks.
Tabashi: In contrast, Godzilla has never fought another Kaiju (well, that we know of, anyway), so he wouldn't really know how to deal with Gyaos and most certainly would be taken by surprise when Gyaos took flight. Therefore, it's very conceivable that Gyaos could use his past experience and incredible speed advantage to pull off a victory.
Angel: And in addition to that, their special attacks seemed to counter each other. Sure, the Super Sonic Scalpel could easily cut through Godzilla's flesh, but the Vapor Breath harbors one of Gyaos' biggest weaknesses: extreme temperatures. However, Gyaos did have a counter for THAT in the form of the poisonous nipple gas.
Tabashi: And also, Godzilla's Vapor Breath had a bigger definitive destructive potential than Gyaos' Super Sonic Scalpel (well, as far as we know, anyway). Gyaos' SSS was able to easily tear through Gamera, who survived a 6-7 Megaton collision with an asteroid. Therefore, his SSS should be worth over 7 Megatons of TNT. In comparison, Godzilla was swimming in the section of the ocean he boiled with his Vapor Breath, which was calculated to be 11 Megatons of TNT.
Angel: Yeah, Gyaos didn't really have any counters for that. Not to mention that Godzilla could just prolong the battle until sunrise, which would kill Gyaos anyway!
Tabashi: These two did hold their own counters and advantages over one another, but in the end, Gyaos was just too weak and dumb to beat Godzilla.
Angel: In the end, Gyaos couldn't take the heat anymore, and he just exploded.
Tabashi: The winner is the Original Godzilla.
Next Time, Baby![]
Tabashi: Next time on Death Battle!
Teen: Hey, guys, check out my new invention! I call it the "Incarnation Evolution"!
Deadpool: What does it do, exactly?
Teen: Watch Godzilla.
The Teen then blasted Godzilla with a ray, and he started to evolve. He went from his Showa incarnation, to Base 1 Heisei, then Base 2, then Burning, then TriStar, then G2k, then GxM.
The Mask: Why did you do that?
Teen: To prepare Godzilla for his next opponent.
Suddenly, the sky darkens, and a meteor-like object can be seen streaking towards Tokyo. It lands next to Godzilla, who just looks up from his meal. Out from the meteor emerges something huge. Something extraterrestrial. Something insectoid in appearance. The figure roars, and walks towards Godzilla. The figure is revealed to be Mother Legion, and she does not want to deal with any opposition.

Trivia[]
- The connection between Godzilla and Gyaos is that they are both Kaiju that have ravaged cities before, and have a ranged attack that comes out of their mouth.
