Giratina Vs Godzilla is a what-if Death Battle, adopted by Dinoanime7.

Description[]

Two ancient destructive entities, one from beyond our universe and one awoken and irradiated by the power of nuclear weapons. Can Giratina defeat Godzilla or will Godzilla outmatch Giratina and keep his title as king of the monsters?

Interlude[]

Wiz: Destruction, a thing that's either created by mankind or Mother Nature herself. It could either mark an end if an era and start something new or even permanently affect life on the planet.

Boomstick: But with these two, nothing is safe from their destructive power, and always leave mankind or greater at their mercy.

Wiz: Giratina, the Renegade Pokemon.

Boomstick: And Godzilla, the King of the Monsters. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle.

Giratina []

Wiz: Long ago, before the multiverse existed, Arceus was born forming Spear Pillar. He crated Palkia, Dialga and, Giratina. All three aided in the creation of the multiverse. Palkia was the Embodiment of Space, Dialga the Embodiment of Time, and Giratina the Embodiment of Antimatter. Palkia and Dialga were given their own separate dimensions to control.

Boomstick: While Giratina had anger issues and was very violent.

Wiz: This lead Arceus banishing Giratina to the Distortion World, where many laws of physics could be disobeyed.

Boomstick: However this because Giratina would be able to balance the Distortion World.

Wiz: Giratina is already one of the most violent Pokémons out there with the other being Mewtwo.

Boomstick: Giratina is also known to pull unlucky victims to his home anywhere from solid ground or any body of water.

Wiz: Giratina can use this as an advantage since he doesn’t need to leave his home in order to attack his opponents.

Boomstick: So you aren’t safe from him no matter where.

Wiz: Each member of the Creation Trio have access to the popular Aura Sphere. This is very effective since it will always hit the target unless their semi-invulnerable.

Boomstick: And that’s not all. Giratina has access to Shadow Force, which some Pokémons have. This could hit Pokémons even if they have protection or deflect before they get hit.

Wiz: Giratina also has cosmic awareness as well. Since it was able to sense Cyrus trying to rewrite the universe. Also reacted to Arceus from another dimension.

Boomstick: It also has telepathy which gives it an opportunity to avoid attacks from the opponent.

Wiz: Giratina also has two forms, the Altered and Origin Forme. Origin Forme is used when Giratina is in the Distortion World. While Altered Forme is when it’s outside of it’s homeworld. Due to the different gravities.

Boomstick: In his Origin Forme, he has better defense while in his Altered Forme, he mainly focuses on offense attacks instead of defense.

Wiz: Origin Forme has Levitate, making this form resistant to Ground based attacks, while Altered Forme’s ability is pressure making opponents exert themselves more. And worth mentioning he can warp reality too, since it repairs the pillar and possibly the entire Distortion World, and actively repairs the two worlds.

Boomstick: Also Giratina can make portals by just being present and these portals can destroy the universe!

Wiz: Important too but he has limitless stamina as well, so you can’t tire him out.

Boomstick: Giratina is went against Palkia and Dialga, all of which are evenly matched to each other. And he took on his own creator, Arceus along with his siblings.

Wiz: Which is impressive because they were able to take hits from him, although to be fair, Arceus didn’t have all of it’s plates and still won.

Boomstick: But still an impressive feat, showing Giratina is one of the most powerful Pokémons out there. And the Creation Trio also aided in creation of the Multiverse as well, as mentioned in the beginning.

Wiz: It already scales above Pokémons that can move way faster than light. Since it exists beyond the universe, it’s very likely he’s speed is way above those Pokémons potentially having infinite speed.

Boomstick: Holy crap, that’s really fast!

Wiz: Due to being a ghost dragon, he’s incorporeal, so he is unaffected by physical attacks.

Boomstick: So spooky, let’s not forget to mention poison can’t even do anything to him.

Wiz: And what’s crazy is, these are just it’s unsealed forms, or avatars if you will.

Boomstick: Wait what?! So your telling me he has a true form?!

Wiz: Pretty much, because it’s sealed form is the entire Distortion World itself!

Boomstick: Whoa! That’s actually insane. Worth mentioning he’s nigh-omniscient as well , since he’s aware of the world and the existence of Dialga and their powers. Also be able to strategically using the effects using Distortion World as it’s advantage. He arranged it because it would test the player. What a clever guy.

Wiz: But despite it’s great, powerful powers and wise intelligence he still has a weakness tho. Since it’s a Ghost Dragon, he’s vulnerable to Ice, Dark, Fairy, and Ground based attacks in Altered Forme, it’s Origin Forme is resistant to that, but it will have to change his form once he leaves the Distortion World.

Boomstick: He was also hypnotized and worth mentioning even tho he can bring Dialga and lost after being put into a time loop, so home range advantage isn’t a 100% victory.

Wiz: And it lost against Arceus, despite giving all of it’s effort.

Boomstick: Yeah Arceus recreated a Creation Trio without using it’s plates, effortlessly.

Wiz: And since he’s nigh-omniscient he doesn’t know everything in his verse. But even then Giratina is still a powerful Pokémon always ready to take any foe that could be a threat.

Giratina appears out of the portal in a shadowy figure.

Godzilla[]

Wiz: After World War 2, Japan has recently been recovering from two atomic bombs. Just as life began going back to normal, a nuclear bomb awoken and irradiated a reptile, from the Jurassic or even older. Worshipped as a god in the folklore of Odo Island and ancient civilization. His name is… Godzilla!

Boomstick: An unstoppable force of nature created or awaken by the hands of mankind.

Wiz: Being irradiated from the nuclear blast, Godzilla is nearly 400 feet tall (Or taller when including HB, Marvel, Earth and MS Godzilla). And weighs 100,000 metric tons.

Boomstick: For nearly 70 years, Godzilla has made Tokyo, and sometimes even the world, his territory for his destruction.

Wiz: In his wake, due to his bio-atomic nature, Godzilla lives everything in his wake of destruction irradiated, people, plants, animals, and even water itself.

Boomstick: And that’s not even why Godzilla is such a powerful monster.

Wiz: He self adapt to his own environments like in Shin Godzilla and Godzilla Singular Point. Godzilla fought Kaijus using his claws and teeth. First fighting Anguirus in 1955, King Kong in 1962, and so on. Although the first opponents weren’t as powerful, in GTTHM, Godzilla has to face King Ghidorah, a Kaiju who destroys planets.

Boomstick: And this was no joke, dude literally wiped out all life on Venus in a short amount of time. Not to mention he even shook the planet itself.

Wiz: Going with the Earthquake calculation and looking at the method of what would it take to cause the Earthquake to shake, it would yield slightly over 1 Teraton of TNT. That’s a lot of energy.

Boomstick: Not to mention, it’s stated that Ghidorah is invincible in space, or at least near invulnerable. Meaning he would upscale the Black Hole Planet 3.

Wiz: Going with that, it has been said it was created when hundreds of huge stars collapsed. Going with the energy from so many stars, it would equal over 2 Megafoe of energy. This monster is one Godzilla couldn’t defeat on his own and needed help from other monsters, and that’s First Gen Ghidorah. 2nd Gen Ghidorah is much weaker, who scales above missiles that destroyed entire planets, which have been calculated to be 3.296 Tenakilotons of TNT.

Boomstick: And that’s just Showa era itself, Heisei gets even crazier, when his cells survived a black hole and supernovas which can release 100 foe of energy.

Wiz: Not to mention Godzilla, Godzilla already survived and basically escaped black holes 4 times, one time as a cell in GvSG, two times in Godzilla vs. Megagirus, and another in HWC.

Boomstick: Don’t forget the time he escaped a forcefield MADE by black hole energy.

Wiz: Again, that’s not even the most OP you can get with Godzilla. 47 Heroines Godzilla could fight King Ghidorah who could destroy the world, and by world they mean universe. In Rage Across Time, Godzilla was able to defeat and kill the Greek Gods even Zeus, who literally had to use full power to kill him. And by being present that Godzilla was already changing the timeline. And in Dragon Quest, he’s above a being who can merge two universes together.

Boomstick: Speaking of that, Rozan viewed time as a string and basically played with it, and also merged time and space together.

Wiz: Godzilla from Singular Point can use the archetype to distort space itself, basically somewhat reality warping.

Boomstick: And that’s not even going by Marvel Godzilla, who was able to match Thor in full strength and has been stated to be the most dangerous and one of the most powerful entities on Earth.

Wiz: This shouldn’t be overlooked since Thor is equal to Hercules who lifted the Heavens for over 3 hours, which is infinite. And he had trouble overpowering one stomp from Godzilla.

Boomstick: Heck, Thor could shatter the roots of Yggdrasil. And not to mention, Thor has sometimes expressed fear of getting hit by Thor’s hammer.

Wiz: Godzilla took a hit from the hammer, although in pain, it left no physical damage. Which is actually impressive. Thor has even stated to be unsure if he is able to defeat Godzilla. Like Hulk, he has rage power, meaning the angrier he gets, the stronger he gets.

Boomstick: And then we go to the God tiers of Godzillas!

Wiz: Monster Strike Godzilla’s most powerful forms Burning and Monster King stat wise are above Ali Baba, who can summon countless doors, which can lead to different spaces or universes. Not to mention, he could interact with non-physical beings, such as Ghosts. And can resist being erased from existence and void manipulation.

Boomstick: In Super Robot Wars he crossover with Eva Units and Gundam.

Wiz: Despite the Mechas best efforts, they couldn’t even defeat Godzilla, the AZC was not enough, which can stop particles from moving. Even powering up hundreds to thousands of times more, it didn’t stop Godzilla.

Boomstick: They are comparable to Gundams who are comparable to Toppa Tengen Gurren, who absorbed an infinite multiverse. Since they were in a realm beyond space and time, this would put their speed in immeasurable categories.

Wiz: Although there have been arguments to put him lower, there’s really no evidence to support them.

Boomstick: And let’s not forget conquering Hell!!!

Wiz: So turns out, in the comic series Godzilla was sent to Hell, and it focused on Godzilla basically going against the impossible.

Boomstick: God Mountain, the weird thing that appears in Issue 3 has been stated by one of the authors to have created an infinite multiverse.

Wiz: Heck, he even killed him at the end of the issue, with holy amped spiral ray, and basically became the new god.

Boomstick: Dang that’s very insane.

Wiz: Godzilla can back from the dead with several things. For example, Singular Point basically by evolving again. Magic Domain Godzilla by resurrection, and others basically by just regenerating. However in Defense Force, they stated the Kaijus couldn’t completely die as long as the time portals were there.

Boomstick: Heck he still regenerated after the pocket of Hell at the end of Issue 4 faded away, including himself. And we can’t forget his transformations Super Godzilla, Tyrant, God Fruit amped, Monster King, Burning, and Heaven amped.

Wiz: Nearly forgot about to mentioned that.

Boomstick: Worth mentioning in Super Godzilla form, he has limited invulnerable, teleportation and has the warp item. Tyrant form has increased rage power, God Fruit amped pretty much the same abilities on a much higher scale, along with Monster King. Burning Godzilla has access to infinite heat ray which increases infinite times each time he uses it. And Heaven amped form, basically having same abilities mixed with becoming resistant to Hell’s haxs.

Wiz: And what’s even crazier is, we may not be looking at Godzilla’s true form. In Singular Point, they made it clear the archetype (Which are made by the Singular Points) were 4D, however, we can never truly see their true form. Just different sides of it that will appear 3D.

Boomstick: Wait what?!

Wiz: Since Godzilla is a higher dimensional being in that series, and is a Singular Point as well, a 4D object, and also connected to the archetype, it’s very likely that what we see is a manifestation of his true form. Which could be supportive, since they made it clear he’s not from their plane of existence.

Boomstick: Damn that’s crazy.

Wiz: Despite being powerful tho, it doesn’t come with weakness. He can get slowed down by colder temperatures in the Showa era, lost to King Kong (Although now it’s a draw), after fighting Mothra, he was exhausted and was defeated. He’s not even the most powerful Kaiju in the Showa era or the Anime trilogy. In the trilogy, he couldn’t interact with King Ghidorah due to his higher dimensional nature and was stated Ghidorah eats monsters from other planets as he shallows the planet.

Boomstick: Not to mention his second brain, and to be fair only Anti-Godzilla weapons could get to.

Wiz: But even after that, he is still a tough opponent to defeat.

Boomstick: There’s a reason why he’s king of the monsters.

Wiz: Alright the combatants are set let's end this debate once and for all.

Boomstick: It's time for Death Battle!!!

Death Battle[]

In the Distortion World, Giratina watches the Pokémon world, waiting for any threat to rise. In the Gulf of Vermillion, all the aquatic population have disappeared, and there have been reports of a giant reptile has been spotted by many fishermen. However many doubted it, claiming it was just they were shocked and confused. As more reports came in, people started to be evenly split, half believed them, while the others still doubted. But before it could be over. The giant reptile has surfaced once again, with dorsal plates and armor like skin.

“What kind of Pokémon is that?!” A fisherman yelled, “Oh no! Don’t tell me, it’s Godzilla!” Godzilla let’s out a roar heads for the city, before out of the wind a portal appeared. Never seeing it before, Godzilla’s mind was filled with curiosity. But that would be short lived as a Pokémon appears out of it, the God of Antimatter. Such an unusual threat made an unusual feeling in Godzilla’s gut, a gut of fear.

Godzilla’s shock and fear turns into fury as he roars at his much smaller opponent, seeing the Giratina as a threat to his crown. Despite being much smaller, Godzilla could sense it was a powerful opponent. Giratina roars back before charging at Godzilla.

Fight!

Godzilla charges up his atomic breath, but before he could unleash it, Giratina used it’s full speed and rams Godzilla knocking him off. Later shooting his atomic breath to the mountains, causing a massive explosion. Godzilla gets up again and smacks Giratina away with his tail, knocking Giratina several thousand feet back.

”Whoa! What is that?!” Ash exclaimed, as all the other trainers watch in horror. Godzilla stomped towards the wounded Giratina, before suddenly it vanished. Giratina reappeared behind Godzilla, but with enhanced senses, he turned around and grabbed the Pokémon in his hand, and throwing it to the mountains.

Godzilla stopped at his tracks as an aura sphere headed towards him and hits him directly at the face. Godzilla charges his atomic breath but he suddenly felt a massive amount of pain. Giratina from the Distortion World was able to harm Godzilla through reality warping. The trainers cheered, but then it went silent as the smoke cleared, Godzilla appeared seemly unaffected. With Godzilla coming closer, Giratina unleashed dark spears at Godzilla. These went deep into his skin causing him to roar in pain, before creating crescent blades and blasting them all over the place. Mountains began to collapse on Godzilla, burying him under the rocks. Giratina charged it’s aura sphere again, before blasting it on the pile, creating a large explosion.

However Godzilla freed himself on time, Giratina charges it’s Will-O-Wisp. Godzilla prepared to fire his atomic breath. Giratina unleashed it’s attack, just in time for Godzilla to shoot his atomic breath, both clashed together. After a brief struggle, an explosion was created. An explosion so great, it not only destroyed the planet, but the entire Local Group of galaxies.

Both combatants were flung a great distance across the universe. Godzilla opens his eyes on a destroyed planet. With Giratina nowhere in sight, he roared in victory, but massive portal appears, this time pulling the destroyed planet in. The same portal that he saw before, just much bigger, the fight wasn’t over. Before Godzilla tried escaping, he was pulled in. Godzilla landed in Giratina’s homeworld, Distortion World.

Godzilla roars in anger, stomping the ground. He went silent as Giratina struck him with the dragon claw, decapitating Godzilla, however in an instant his head regenerated, and uses his nuclear pulse. Giratina, now desperate, used telepathy in an attempt to use this hidden ability to dodge Godzilla’s next attack. However, this wasn’t in his favor as Godzilla roared, merely annoyed by the ability. Distracted, Godzilla wasn’t able to stop Giratina’s next attack. Giratina launches another Aura Sphere, one more powerful than in his Altered Forme, this knocks Godzilla. Regeneration started kicking in, and Godzilla was able to react in time to Giratina down. It began to transform into Super Godzilla.

Shocked at it’s opponent sudden transformation, it didn’t matter, he charged at Godzilla. In an instant, he teleported out of the way and appeared behind Giratina. However, it was unable to dodge Godzilla’s energy tail attack. Sending the Pokémon flying before hitting the ground. He begins charging his Nova Beam, which Giratina reacted on time before he unleashed it, however Godzilla dodged the attack, and fires it.

Directly hitting Giratina and causing a massive explosion, causing the mountain above to collapse on Giratina. Extremely weakened from the Nova Beam, Godzilla finishes it off with Naval Blast. Destroying the island itself, however to Godzilla’s surprise, Giratina came back. This time unscratched, Godzilla’s quicker attack speed it was struck again, and unable to react. This time having enough, Godzilla went into his tyrant form and unleashed a massive nuclear pulse, destroying both Giratina, along with the Distortion World.

Godzilla opened his eyes, back to his normal form. With his opponent near in sight, he roared in victory.

Results[]

Boomstick: Whoa! That was awesome! Literally a battle between two lizards too destructive to die.

Wiz: Giratina had a some advantages, it was more intelligent by a large margin, and potentially faster depending where you put nigh-omnipresent.

Boomstick: But even with that, Godzilla pretty much had the advantage in almost every category.

Wiz: Speed is a surprising one for many most likely. Although Giratina is smaller, that doesn’t really guarantee being much faster.

Boomstick: Yea, especially since Godzilla was comparable to fighters who could move in realms beyond space and time, beyond a multiverse not a universe.

Wiz: Giratina pretty much Infinite, although Immeasurable could be argued however that won’t be the case especially since, Godzilla has better scaling than Giratina and could potentially outpace him.

Boomstick: Not to mention, Godzilla would regenerate from many of Giratina’s attacks. There’s no evidence of Giratina being able to null regeneration.

Wiz: While Godzilla did just that, with his spiral ray and potentially his nuclear pulse. And that brings up the main question, could Godzilla potentially destroy the Distortion World? Potentially yes.

Boomstick: Remember that weird Mountain thing, yeah it has been stated to have created the multiverse and lives in the spiritual realm something above the multiverse in that cosmology.

Wiz: SRW Godzilla was comparable to TTGL, who fought Anti-Spiral who created that multiverse according to the bios of SRW.

Boomstick: Dang I didn’t know that. Anyways, it’s worth mentioning that those other forms probably won’t be needed since Godzilla is just too powerful. Giratina was just not renegade enough.

Wiz: The winner is Godzilla.

Fight Soundtrack[]

The soundtrack for the fight is called "Destructive Gods", which refers to the destructive nature of both Giratina and Godzilla. Giratina being violent and having the grudge to destroy everything in it's path, while Godzilla being either a force of nature or something more destructive for example, bringing the Catastrophe or nearly wiping out humanity. Gods refers to both being seen as godly entities, Godzilla being worshiped by Odo Island and ancient civilization. Godzilla also being called a God in some of his appearances and source material. Super God of Destruction (G2K), God of Destruction (GMK, Shin Godzilla, Polygon trilogy, and MV), and Incarnation of God (Shin Godzilla). With Giratina being part of the Creation Trio, the embodiment of antimatter. Art shows a portal (Reference to Giratina's making portals to come to the world) and an energy blast (Representing Godzilla's atomic breath).
