β€œ
Spite is a natural emotion that sentient beings feel. When we’re envious of others for actions they do against us, or for external reasons that personally bother us, we feel spiteful towards those specific individuals. Now, what happens when you take that spite and slap it onto badass killers with a lot of weapons?

Boomstick: β€œAnd Toji Fushiguro! The infamous Sorcerer Killer from Jujutsu Kaisen!”

Grievous Vs Toji Interlude 2

Wiz: β€œThese two masters of bladed combat have shook their worlds to their very cores.”

Boomstick: β€œBut when characters as skilled as these two come head-to-head, the only outcome in the end is death! He’s Wiz, and I’m Boomstick!”

Wiz: β€œAnd it’s our job to analyze their weapons armor, and skills to find out who would win… a DEATH BATTLE!”

Wiz: β€œOur galaxy is a vast and mysterious place. There are still many things unknown to us within it.”

Boomstick: β€œHowever, in the realm of fiction. Things are different. The people of Star Wars know everything about the galaxy! There’s different factions, politics, and even full-blown wars across the galaxy far, far away.”

Wiz: β€œWhile there have been many wars across Star Wars history. The one most people remember is the war between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire, as well as the most recent war between the Resistance and the First Order.”

Boomstick: β€œBut, as many things from our childhoods, they can end up being forgotten in the face of the fresh new material coming out. Those lost memories can end up being the most important ones, and that is the case for the war between the Galactic Republic and the Separatists; the Clone Wars!”

Wiz: β€œAnd right at the helm of this war was the grand leader of the Separatist Alliance… General Grievous!”

Grievous Background (Grievous Vs Toji)

Wiz: β€œQymaen Jal Sheelai was a native of the Wild Space planet Kalee, a planet constantly in war with itself between the Kaleesh and the Yam’rii.”

Boomstick: β€œSheelai was forced to adapt and live in the horrible environment he was born in. By the age of 10, he had already killed 40 of the Yam’rii while being taught the ways of combat by his father.”

Wiz: β€œThis brutal upbringing turned Sheelai into an incredibly ferocious person. As he grew older, he became a military commander of the Kaleesh forces and adopted the name β€˜Grievous’.”

Boomstick: β€œGrievous was infamous across his planet for being a master warlord, showing his enemies no mercy and leading his people to victory against the enemies who terrorized them for decades.”

Wiz: β€œβ€¦Or that’s what would’ve happened, if the Jedi didn’t step in and aided the Yam’rii into a complete stomp victory against the Kaleesh. After almost bringing his people to victory at last, he was forced to watch as his army was overrun and his people were forced to starve as punishment for the war.”

Boomstick: β€œMuch like the popular kid in class who is just the WORST person for no reason, the Jedi had made Grievous utterly despise them. From that day onwards, Grievous swore to rid the galaxy of the Jedi filth that ravaged it.”

Wiz: β€œWith Grievous’ burning hatred, incredible battle prowess, and tactical mind. He was a perfect fit to be the leader of the newly forming Separatist Army. With the aid of the fallen Jedi Count Dooku, Grievous became a robotized killing machine hell bent on executing as many Jedi as he could find!”

Grievous Cyborgism (Grievous Vs Toji)

Boomstick: β€œGrievous’ body was heavily modified to the point most of his flesh and bone was replaced with artificial mechanisms designed to enhance his combat prowess.”

Wiz: β€œHis armor was primarily comprised of composite durasteel, which was the same material that Darth Vader’s armor was made of.”

Boomstick: β€œDurasteel is insanely strong! It’s designed to be able to handle tons of damage, it can even take hits from lightsabers for brief periods of time. It was primarily used on combat starships, meaning Grievous’ armor is made of the same material as massive, galactic starships that fight over planets. That’s insane!”

Wiz: β€œNot only that, his cyborg mechanisms can twist and mangle themselves in a variety of ways. Grievous can crawl on all fours like that of a spider, operate four separate limbs at once, twist his entire body around like a buzzsaw, and attach himself to surface scale on the perimeters of buildings or even battleships.”

Boomstick: β€œIt also grants him improved physical strength and speed. He can jump dozens of feet into the air! Oftentimes Grievous will use his enhanced jump height to leap from wall-to-wall or from the floor to the roof of a room. And since he can scale surfaces no matter the direction they’re facing, he can basically go across rooms in any way he wants.”

Wiz: β€œGrievous’ cyborg mechanisms are strong enough to resist high winds and even allow him to survive in the vacuum of space without injury, with Grievous having used this as an escape method within the upper atmosphere of planets before.”

Boomstick: β€œGrievous artificial body lets him do a variety of combat techniques to catch opponents off guard. He can use Thrust Surge to dash forward at fast speeds and impale opponents with all four of his lightsabers. He can use Unrelenting Advance to spin his hands in a circular motion to drag his lightsabers across the ground in front of him, acting as a sort of shield. And, he can knock opponents off their feet and cripple large crowds via Claw Rush!”

Wiz: β€œThe body Grievous occupies has enabled him to perform beyond superhuman feats. During the attack on Coruscant, Grievous managed to dodged multiple blaster shots from point-blank range. According to our calculations, he’d have to move at least forty-eight million meters per second!”

Boomstick: β€œThat’s equal to mach 141444.8! That’s almost as fast as the speed of light itself!

Speed of light blaster bolts is a highly contested topic, due to the inconsistency of their visual speed. However, due to the sheer amount of statements that support the idea of them being lightspeed, and the fact that it’s been stated the bolt we see being fired moves at a different speed than the actual force of the fire. We believe it is fine to use for their speed.

Wiz: β€œThe cyborgism of Grievous body does define him, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves here. He was still a supreme warlord during his time as an organic entity, and he was strong enough to lead his people against opponents with superior technology to him. Grievous welds various lightsabers that he is incredibly proficient with in combat, as well as a grappling hook to get him out of danger.”

Boomstick: β€œIf all else fails, he could always just call upon battleships from above to unleash a barrage of orbital lasers that can create combined explosions worth 28481.13 tons of TNT!”

Grievous Weaknesses (Grievous Vs Toji)

Wiz: β€œAs strong as Grievous is, even before his cyborg enhancements, he’s still ultimately an organic entity at his core. His durasteel armor plating is incredibly strong, but the organic flesh unprotected is where Grievous is at his weakest.”

Boomstick: β€œClearly, Grievous didn’t get beat up enough in the PE locker rooms during his youth. That’s the shit that toughens you up.”

Wiz: β€œWhat.”

Boomstick: β€œ.tahW”

Wiz: β€œβ€¦Moving on. As much as Grievous wants to distance himself from the organic body he was born with, he just can’t. For as long as he lives, he will be stuck with the weaknesses of his organic matter, and he hates it.”

Boomstick: β€œIt’s not like this is an unjustified complaint either. Grievous has been left with a permanent coughing problem ever since good ol’ Mace Windu decided to target his lungs with the force. In fact, the entire reason he got defeated in the first place during his final battle with his longtime nemesis was because of his heart being exposed and vulnerable.”

Wiz: β€œGrievous is also fairly overconfident and has a tendency to play with his food before killing them, which has led to situations being stacked against him instead of in favor of him.”

Boomstick: β€œBasically, the more of his organic body is exposed and the more damaged his cybernetics are, the less dangerous Grievous becomes. At this point, why doesn’t he just upload himself into a robot or something?”

Wiz: β€œWell… deep down, Grievous doesn’t want to abandon his organic side as much as he says he hates it. He looks down on the droids he’s forced to command, and at his core, he much preferred his old life with his peers in the Kaleesh military over his current role as the Separatist army general.”

Boomstick: β€œIn a way, Grievous is in a constant state of conflict. He detests both the organic and the inorganic at the same time, and since he’s both, in a weird sorta way he has an inferiority complex AND a superiority complex at the same time.”

Wiz: β€œYou’re right on the money, Boomstick. Grievous’ life was an incredibly harsh one, with him having to live a life of war for decades. From the moment of his birth to the downfall of the Separatists with his death, Grievous was defined by the art of war.”

Boomstick: β€œHowever, despite the Separatists being a distant memory, the galaxy would be foolish to forget the legendary Qymaen Jal Sheelai, and the terror his legacy brought into the hearts of all those who dared to oppose him!”

Wiz: β€œIn fact, we were wrong. The Clone Wars were not a distant memory, and the terrifying legacy of people such as Grievous is proof of that.”

”Run, Jedi, run. You have only prolonged the inevitable…”

Wiz: β€œImagine a world where the negative emotions we feel create monsters who kill us in our sleep. With us never being able to see our imminent doom until it’s right in front of us…”

Boomstick: β€œYou don’t have to imagine it, because it already exists! And it’s called Chainsa-”

Wiz: β€œ-Jujutsu Kaisen!”

Boomstick: β€œIn the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, all living things are born with an inherent energy known as Cursed Energy, which is the same energy that the entities born from negative emotions are made up of; known as Cursed Spirits.”

Wiz: β€œAll living things can harness their Cursed Energy, though some are more talented than others in their ability to harness it, which led to the Japan-wide phenomenon of Jujutsu Sorcerers! The designated protectors of the innocent from the Cursed Spirits that plague Japan.”

Boomstick: β€œBut what would happen if say… one wasn’t born with Cursed Energy?”

Wiz: β€œWould you be bullied for you uniqueness, or would you be praised for it?”

Boomstick: β€œHaha! You know how the world works, of course he was bullied for it!”

Wiz: β€œAnd that leads us into our combatant for today, the iconic Jujutsu Killer himself; Toji Fushiguro!”

Toji Background (Grievous Vs Toji)

Boomstick: β€œToji was a member of the infamous Zenin Clan, a group of Jujutsu Sorcerer elites who prided themselves on raw power and technique over all else. Think of them like the egotistical senior class in highschool who threw apples at the freshman trying to find their classes.”

Wiz: β€œThat’s a massive understatement. The Zenin clan didn’t just bully those born without Cursed Energy, they would instead throw them to the Jujutsu Kaisen equivalent of the wolves and force them to fight for their lives against Cursed Spirits trying to kill them.”

Boomstick: β€œSo, like any irrational person would do, he eventually left the clan and settled down with a housewife to live a new life away from his past.”

Wiz: β€œBut ultimately, a man cannot escape his cruel past for long, so he-wait what do you mean IRRATIONAL???”

Boomstick: β€œWiz stop bringing the script out of whack. Why do I always have to be the one to keep our analysis’ segments in-line?!”

Wiz: β€œI-…You-… clears throat ANYWAY. After the birth of Toji’s son, Megumi, his wife died in childbirth, which would make him return back to his old way of life. Despite remarrying a bit after his birth, he would eventually leave his family and vow to never trust himself or others ever again.”

Boomstick: β€œHe became a lone assassin, working as a Non-Curse User in the underground of Jujutsu society. But as someone who lacked innate Cursed Energy, he needed ways to combat his naturally gifted bounties.”

Toji Weapons (Grievous Vs Toji)

Wiz: β€œToji has a wide arsenal of weapons at his disposal that he uses in combat, some of which being imbedded with Cursed Energy!”

Boomstick: β€œHis primary weapon is his trademarked Split Soul Katana! The katana completely ignores the physical toughness of those hit with it, and instead cuts straight into their soul directly. As long as the sword can make contact with your body in a blunt fashion, your durability will be ignored and your soul will be targeted instead.”

Wiz: β€œAlongside his more mystical katana, he also has a more standard katana which he uses to blind shot stab opponents who don’t expect it. He used it on Satoru Gojo during his ambush on Riko Amanai’s defense team.”

Boomstick: β€œNext up is the Chain of a Thousand Miles, which is a massive chain that will infinitely increase in length as long as its backend isn’t visible to the opponent. Toji put the backend into his mouth to conceal it and used it to increase the range of other weapons in his arsenal by attaching them to the increasingly long end of it!”

Wiz: β€œHe has a small combat knife he uses in conjunction with his other weapons as a sorta back-up, duel-weld kinda thing. He used this alongside his Inverted Spear of Heaven to cut down Satoru Gojo and used it to stab him in the forehead at the end of his assault.”

Boomstick: β€œSpeaking of, his Inverted Spear of Heaven is the coolest of all his weapons! With it, he can not only use it as a raw combat knife to swiftly cut down his opponents, but he can also use it to neutralize and shutdown any active Cursed Techniques hit by it!”

Wiz: β€œHe used the Inverted Spear of Heaven to bypass the nigh-impassable Infinity technique, completely catching Satoru Gojo off guard and almost killing the strongest sorcerer of his time.”

Due to the way Cursed Energy works in Jujutsu Kaisen, it is safe to assume any opponents technique even outside of that verse would be imbedded with some semblance of Cursed Energy. That, and verse equalization for the sake of argument, is why we will assume that Inverted Spear of Heaven could neutralize magical techniques not inherently from Jujutsu Kaisen.

Boomstick: β€œAnd we’re not done yet, he has one more Cursed Tool in his arsenal; the fabled Playful Cloud! Despite its stupid, pre-school-ass sounding name, it is a weapon that is purely designed to give blunt force trauma to anybody unlucky enough to be in its range. Theres nothing special about it either, it’s JUST a weapon of brain damage, which are the best type of weapons. I used them a lot on the freshman.”

Wiz: β€œOkay I’ve been holding off on this long enough. Boomstick, I have to ask, why do you keep using highschool motifs in analysis segments about murderers?!”

Boomstick: β€œBecause that’s what my highschool years were all about…!”

Wiz: β€œI…”

Boomstick: β€œWhat?! Did you not murder people in highschool, Wiz?”

Wiz: β€œWell yes butβ€”-the average person did not kill people during their years of puberty.”

Boomstick: β€œBaloney! In my highschool, you either murdered people or increased teen pregnancy rates.”

Wiz: β€œPlease never bring up your highschool again.”

Boomstick: β€œAlright finnnneeeee. But this here handgun is a reference to my first kill as a freshman, and it’s the very same one Toji used to kill the poor Riko Amanai. Metro boomin’ make it boom!”

Wiz: β€œβ€¦β€¦β€¦Toji’s weapon arsenal is fairly diverse. He’s an incredibly skilled fighter who combines weapons in ways his opponents don’t expect, and comes up with quick strategies at how to exploit his opponents weaknesses using his weapons. He even managed to outsmart both the aforementioned Satoru Gojo, and the comparably strong Suguru Geto, and completely annihilated both of them.”

Boomstick: β€œWell, until Gojo revived himself anyway, but that’s beside the point.”

Wiz: β€œTo hold all of these weapons, Toji has a servant Cursed Spirit that holds all of his weapons, and he can pull any of them out of its mouth whenever he wants.”

Boomstick: β€œWith his Inventory Curse, Toji can call upon swarms of Flyheads, which are essential the Jujutsu equivalent of mosquitoes, to harass and distract opponents.”

Wiz: β€œWith all of this, Toji is an incredibly versatile and skilled fighter who has contested with the strongest sorcerers and spirits of his verse. But it’s not just his weapons that are strong, the source of his strength comes from, well-β€œ

Boomstick: β€œHIMSELF! TOJI IS RIPPED AS HELL DUDE!”

Toji Heavenly Restriction (Grievous Vs Toji)

Insert Music Here

Boomstick: β€œHeavenly Restriction is an innate restriction on one’s body when they are born. Oftentimes it trades off specific aspects of one’s body to enhance other aspects of themselves.”

Wiz: β€œFor unfortunate people, such as Mechamaru, a Heavenly Restriction could render your body unusable and permanently crippled as a cost for having better Cursed Energy when you’re born.”

Boomstick: β€œBut since Toji is Gege Akutami’s favorite character, he got a Heavenly Restriction that made him absolutely cracked physically at the cost of not having any Cursed Energy His body is similar to steel.”

Gege Akutami is the writer and author of the Jujutsu Kaisen series.

Wiz: β€œToji’s physical prowess is absolutely ridiculous. All five of his senses are heightened to the peak of human condition, to the point he can see Cursed Spirits despite not having Cursed Energy at all.”

Boomstick: β€œHe is LITERALLY built different, being by far the strongest person on the planet during his time as the Sorcerer Killer.”

Wiz: β€œToji’s Heavenly Restriction has enhanced his physical body to such a degree, that his body can outright overwrite souls.”

Boomstick: β€œDuring the Shibuya Incident arc, Toji was revived and his body was taken over by the soul of Ogami’s grandson, via her SΓ©ance Technique. However, his Heavenly Restriction allowed Toji to overwrite his body and take it back after it had ALREADY been overwritten by another persons soul.”

Wiz: β€œToji’s physical prowess as the result of his Heavenly Restriction has allowed him to perform feats of speed and durability far above that of a normal human.”

Boomstick: β€œYeah! He has survived massive explosions and attacks from the strongest of sorcerers, obliterating incredibly powerful Cursed Spirits such as Dagon with his barehands and Playful Cloud alone.”

Wiz: β€œIn his rematch with Gojo, Toji survived a point-blank Cursed Technique Reversal: Red. According to our calculations, he survived a feat worth around 1124 tons of TNT!”

Boomstick: β€œFor context, the Davy Crockett nuclear warhead had an explosive yield of 20 tons of TNT! That’s a 56 times gap between Toji and a NUCLEAR WARHEAD.”

Wiz: β€œFurthermore, Toji’s speed was directly compared to a three-finger Ryomen Sukuna, who was able to move at a speed of 47 meters per second!”

Boomstick: β€œThat’s 1.7 times faster than the fastest land animal on Earth!”

The fastest land animal on Earth is the Cheetah, which can run at speeds of up to 104 kilometers per hour. 104 kph is equal to the 28.9 meters per second. Due to the fact that Toji is a superhuman, it is likely he can move far faster than a 1.7 times gap.

Insert Music Here

Wiz: β€œBut overall, is it truly a man’s physical prowess that defines them. Is your worth defined by your ability to impress the world with your strength, agility, skill, and all the like?”

Boomstick: β€œThe world of Jujutsu Kaisen is a harsh one that looks down on the weak as simply annoyances for the strong to defend. And even with someone like Toji, who has been granted insane physical capabilities, he left his entire life behind due to the abuse he suffered at the hands of those more β€˜worthwhile’ than him.”

Wiz: β€œAt the end of Toji’s life… well, second life, he could’ve very easily went on a murderous rampage and kill all of the Jujutsu Sorcerers who wronged him throughout his life. But, even as a mindless beast relying solely on instinct, he couldn’t bring himself the one thing that reminded him of the life he could’ve had if society was a bit different; his son, Megumi.”

Boomstick: β€œToji ended his own life to save the remnants of his family, dying happily content knowing that his son didn’t follow the corrupt path of his clan and went down his own path, paving away a brighter, less corrupt future for the Jujutsu world.”

Wiz: β€œThat was weirdly compelling Boomstick, good job.”

Boomstick: β€œYeah, I took psychology in highschool.”

”You mean your last name is not Zenin? ………That makes me glad.”

Pre-Fight[]

Wiz: β€œAlright! The combatants are set! We’ve run the data through all possibilities!”

Boomstick: β€œIt’s time for a DEATH BATTTLLLEEEEE!”

DEATH BATTLE[]

β€œSuguru! Get Riko to safety, I’ll handle this guy!”

β€œAlright, I’ll leave it to you, Satoru.”

Along the outskirts of Jujutsu High, a battle between a ruthless mercenary and a soon to be legend was taking place. The legend in question was Satoru Gojo, bearer of the Six Eyes and user of the Limitless technique. His friend, Suguru Geto, was also an incredibly talented user of Cursed Energy in his own right. They were on a protection mission to ensure the safety of Riko, a relatively normal highschool girl who happened to be linked to a multiple-century old Jujutsu master.

The man standing against them, the ruthless mercenary out to slaughter the three of them for money, was known as-

β€œToji Fushiguro.” said Suguru, him and Riko both running alongside eachother to get into an enclosed area of safety.

β€œToji Fushiguro?” Riko asked

β€œHe’s known as the Sorcerer Killer, and he’s one of the deadliest bounty hunters in the world.” Suguru explained, β€œOf course our luck has made us come into opposition with him.”

Riko had a visibly concerned expression on her face, β€œHe sounds really strong…”, she turned her head to the side, β€œAre you sure Gojo can beat him?!”

Suguru gave a soft smile to put Riko at ease, β€œThere’s no doubt in my mind, he is the strongest after all.”

Back at the battleground, the once lush yet small forest had been completely destroyed. Gojo had used his Lapse Blue technique to clear the area, leaving it an open field with a gaping hole at its center.

β€œI can’t track this guy’s movements!” Gojo said to himself, β€œWith the area clear, I should be able to deal with him easier now.” Gojo tried to sound confident, but his panic was written all over his face.

Gojo turned 360 degrees multiple times over, trying to track down where the mercenary had went. Even with his enhanced vision via the Six Eyes, Toji was simply hidden too well. Eventually, from the blink of an eye, Gojo’s Six Eyes detected an incoming object.

CRUNCH!

The tiny rock area left in tact from the Lapse Blue that Gojo had used earlier, was now surrounded by a chain that seemed to go on forever. Without a moment to react, the chain pulled in on itself and crushed the rock formation nigh-instantaneously. Gojo just barely leaped off the ground in time, but now he was vulnerable and airborne.

β€œThe hell?!” Gojo exclaimed.

As if an earthquake had caused a volcano eruption, even more things came flying at Gojo. Gojo prepared himself but was met with a barrage of flies. Flies so weak that he didn’t even bother to register that they were coming in the first place. The fight was in chaos, and Gojo’s opponent was still nowhere to be found.

β€œThese bugs are blocking out my senses, I just need to clear the area again and-β€œ

From the corner of his eye, Gojo saw the smirk of a man who had looked like he had just won the lottery twenty times over. Toji had finally revealed himself, welding the Inverted Spear of Heaven capable of shutting down Cursed Techniques. The spear was headed straight for Gojo’s heart, but Gojo was fast enough to move out of the way just in time. Toji sent his arm forward like a runaway train, and the Inverted Spear of Heaven sliced straight through his knee.

Toji’s grin reduced to a mildly annoyed smirk, β€œTch…”

Gojo forced himself backwards, his leg shedding blood from the stab wound in his knee. One of his eyes closed just from the pain, and his teeth were gritting like they had never gritted before. His Infinity technique was now temporarily deactivated, and he was down functionality of a leg.

β€œGrgh… Convergence Divergence… RE-β€œ BANG!

Before the Red could finish charging, Toji sent a handgun round straight through the incompleted technique. Gojo’s hand gasped for air as it coughed out blood, it fractured and went limp. The bullet had pierced through his fingers, and went straight past his hand and into the center-left of his upper body. Gojo gasped, his eyes widening and his body falling backwards.

Toji gave off a gleeful gaze, β€œThe strongest member of Jujustu Society, killed by a man with no Cursed Energy in absolute humiliation.” Toji started sounded more and more excited, β€œThis is even better than I expected it to be!”

Gojo, on his knees and unable to run, watched in suspense as Toji strutted over to him. His handgun chuckled as it reloaded, and its face was put to the forehead of the legendary Satoru Gojo.

β€œMy victory over your society… with this single bullet…” Toji squinted, making sure to hit Gojo as precisely as possible

Before that victory could come into fruition, the sky suddenly turned its power off, and a looming shadow casted over the area.

β€œHm?!” Grunted the both of them.

In the sky above, what seemed to be an island in the sky had appeared out of nowhere. The structure looked metallic and otherworldly, almost like it didn’t belong in this universe.

Toji’s attention had turned away from Gojo, β€œWhat the-..?”

Gojo, taking his chance to escape, used his Cursed Energy to forcefully propel himself to safety. Moving as silent as a mouse. Toji’s hair and clothes blew furiously, a ginormous gust of wind tackling the area. A smaller island from the archipelago above descended from the darkness of the structure, going straight towards Toji himself. Toji stood his ground, looking at the approaching ship with interest and mystique. With a loud clump sound, the ship landed about 5 meters ahead of Toji, creating a crater the size of the ship as a personal gift to the Earth. Smoke and dust spun around the ship, clouding it in a mysterious contour. Loud clanking sounds could be heard, and about a dozen robots army-walked out of the smokey abyss. They were all colored in a desaturated yellow, and welded foreign laser rifles.

Toji was in utter awe at what he was seeing, β€œThis is not the job I signed up for…”, he said, as he gripped onto the pistol he was welding.

Clanking far louder and more violent than before surfaced from the smoke, and a menacing shadow appeared from the center of the ship. It was like an urban legend had suddenly revealed itself to the world. The shadowy figure revealed himself with a loud cough, and stepped away from the ship.

β€œWhat a peculiar planet, perfect addition to the add to the collection of Separatist power!”

The man… well, it would be a stretch to call him a man, stood with a hunched posture and an incredibly imposing figure. He was covered in white-cladded cybernetics, and his rotten flesh could be seen peaking from underneath. He wore a big, thick cape along his back, and it seemed like he had two more arms hidden beneath it.

Toji had turned all of his attention towards this new adversary, β€œIt’s like something straight out of a Sci-Fi movie…”, Toji smirked, β€œKilling this guy would make me a fortune!” He expressed to himself in his head.

The cybernetic man aimed his arm forward, and the Battle Droids surrounding him followed his lead. Grievous coughed again, before finally giving the command-

β€œ-Fire! Leave nothing but a mangled corpse!”

Without a moments hesitation, the droids laid a barrage of lasers onto Toji. The battlefield was crowded by red plasma beams. Toji’s reflexes weren’t short to react, he immediately started dodging the lasers. He quickly counterattacked with his handgun, but the bullets seemed to only bounce off the droid’s bodies. They didn’t even leave a scratch.

Toji hesitated briefly, β€œWell alright then…” before he sprung back into action as he narrowly evaded another laser round.

In a flash, Toji vanished into the dust sprung up by the volley of lasers. He quickly thought up a way to deal with the durability of his opponents.

β€œWhere’d he go?” One of the Battle Droids said, as another one fell to the ground and complained, β€œI think my legs are goneeeee!”

The moments of panic were short lived, as the majority of the Battle Droids were wiped out one after another as blasts of red light flooded the area. The dust cleared, and all of the Battle Droids were left motionless on the ground, and Toji stood above them with two Blaster Rifles in hand. He had a sadistic grin on his face.

β€œNifty gadgets you got here.” Toji said, β€œMind if I have them?!” - he mockingly chuckled.

The cyborg sighed, growling to himself about the failure of his Battle Droids. He took off his cape, revealing the full extent of his mechanically enhanced body.

β€œFine then, I’ll have to deal with this rebellious scum… myself.” The cyborg said, gripping onto two grey-cladded hilts from his waist and turning them on, revealing them to be two Lightsabers.

Toji got into a battle position, β€œI’m not good with names, but, I’ll need to know the name of the junkpile I’ll be turning in for a new paycheck.”

The cyborg was visibly annoyed by the comment, but he responded anyway.

β€œGeneral Grievous, the name that will be the last thing you hear before I stain the ground red with what’s left of you!” The general said, chuckling and also getting into a battle position.

Fight![]

Grievous cackled and twisted his metallic wrists around like buzzsaws. His two lightsabers created a moving wall of heat as he walked, slowly marching towards his opponent. Toji stood prepared.

β€œβ€¦Seriously?” he said, underwhelmed.

Toji’s eyes flashed a blinding white, as he moved in the blink of an eye and appeared behind the approaching Grievous. He pulled out the Playful Cloud, slammed his feet into the ground, and swung the weapon with the force of an artillery cannon. It smacked Grievous’ side, and launched the general at an angle up into the air. However, this proved fruitless, as Grievous immediately rocked back into the ground due to his body weight. Toji continued the assault, zooming around the battlefield and smacking Grievous with the Playful Cloud over and over again in quick succession. The General soon was tired of this bludgeoning, managing to tag Playful Cloud, stopping it in its tracks with his hand. Toji attempted to steal Playful Cloud from back Grievous’ grip, but Grievous flicked his arm and snapped the weapon in two.

Grievous laughed, β€œFOOL! You only prolong your death!”

As Grievous was talking, Toji was moving to pull out another weapon from his backlog, but Grievous used his mechanized foot to grip into Toji’s leg, the mechanical toes stabbing straight through Toji’s skin.

β€œNgh-!” Toji clenched in pain.

Grievous flipped his entire body, carrying Toji over him and slamming him into the ground on the other side. Grievous started turning his body 360 degrees, Toji being carried along for the ride as his body was dragged across the dirt at immense speeds. Sadistically laughing like a maniac, Grievous cut the merry-go-round short, letting go of Toji. Toji flew into a nearby tree, the force of the landing causing the tree to snap and fall backward. Toji’s butt hit the floor.

Toji, with pure white eyes and a malicious grin, Toji thought - (β€œTch… what a pain!”)

Toji quickly got back to his feet and disappeared into the tree brush behind him. Grievous gave pursuit, putting his lightsabers away and getting down on all fours.

β€œGrehehHAHAHAHA- TRY TO RUN!”

Grievous’ Claw Rush was in full force, chasing Toji through the trees like a spider. Toji looked back for a brief moment and saw the robotic abomination behind him. Toji seized this opportunity, blitzing around Grievous and changing his direction in a zigzag motion. At the exact moment Grievous’ crawling body was beneath one of the many trees, Toji used his katana combined with his speed to slice it in half. Kicking the tree down at Grievous, it fell on top of him.

β€œARGHHHHH-!” the general yelled.

Toji wasn’t done, he welded his katana and once again used his speed to enhance the potency of his attack. He jumped into the air and twisted violently, finally landing on the ground. He cut one of Grievous’ bottom-most arms cleanly off. The metallic surface bled iron and electricity. Toji jumped and landed in front of the downed Grievous. Toji put his katana at his shoulder.

β€œYou’re a pretty cocky guy. It’s not hard to figure out that you’d be blinded by your bloodlust. Your body is very loud, very easy to tell exactly where you are, meanwhile me? I’m the β€˜invisible man’.” Toji monologued.

Grievous responded with an angry tone, β€œScum…”

Toji continued, β€œYou see, on this world. Cursed Energy is the name of the game, though it’s something you lack. Most of the people I kill are users of this energy, but I lack it unlike most of the population, so they can’t sense me at all. You’re just as much of a moron as the rest of them, despite how intimidating you look.”

Just as Toji finished explaining, he heard some of the tree brush rustle near him. His instincts immediately went into action, he was fully on alert. There was a squad of Commando Droids in the trees around Toji and Grievous.

Grievous snarled, β€œFIRE!”

Toji went to dispatch these droids as fast as possible, as he did before. He appeared at one of the Commando’s backsides, attempting to slash the droid in pieces like he did the previous ones.

β€œHm?!”

The katana barely even dented the armor plating of the Commando Droid. As Toji was taken off guard, the droid quickly grabbed him and stabbed him in the foot with its sword. Toji grunted in pain, using his handgun to shoot the Commando in the eyes before dashing away. The Commando was unable to see, falling to the floor below and collapsing. Toji went behind a tree to catch his breath, putting his katana away for later use.

(β€œDamnit! This guy isn’t as foolish as Satoru Gojo was… he isn’t going to fight me one-on-one. I have to separate him from his droids, or I’ll get overwhelmed.”) Toji strategized in his head, panting.

Grievous used his lightsabers to cut the tree up into smaller segments, standing up from his meeting with the ground. The Commando’s all jumped down from their positions and went to Grievous, awaiting his command.

β€œStay with me, and stay on guard. The enemy is a cowardly one, he will be easy to pursuit if it’s all of us together. Once he’s found, make sure there’s nothing but blood and cough guts left of him!” Grievous told his troops.

The Commando’s all nodded in submission.

β€œNow then, FOLLOW ME!”

Grievous and his droids all went off on a search for Toji. The Commando’s used their environmental scanners to find his location. Toji had recollected his confidence by this point, catching a glimpse of Grievous’ squad from a distance.

Toji smirked, β€œSo they’re all grouped together, huh? What a bunch of idiots!”

The assassin brought out the Chain of a Thousand Miles. He began circling it around.

(β€œThey’ll be easy targets now!”) Toji thought to himself.

With a confident grin on his face, Toji put his plan into motion. The adrenaline rush was in full swing. With the velocity of a speeding bullet, Toji found Grievous’ squad.

β€œCRUSH HIM! cough MAKE HIM SUFFER!” Grievous yelled.

The Commando’s gave fire. Their accuracy was greater than the basic Battle Droids, the lasers grazing Toji’s face and arms. Toji moved through his adversaries in the shape of a lightning bolt, proceeding to circle the area numerous times. In the blink of an eye, Grievous and his droids were all caught in the clutches of the Chain of a Thousand Miles.

β€œHOLD ON TIGHT!” Toji sadistically howled.

The group of cybernetic terrorists were swung around, crashing into every single tree possible. The Commando Droids began to fall apart, as Toji swung faster and faster, to the point of running and taking the chain with him as he went.

Aggressively, Grievous yelled β€œENOUGH OF THIS!”

The mechanical feet of the general slammed into the ground, fiercely gripping onto the surface. Just like that, Toji’s body got thrown backwards as all of his speed stopped. Grievous tugged on the chain with insane strength, pulling Toji straight towards him. He let go of the chain once Toji was in range, and put all of his force into decking the man in the gut.

β€œGAGH!”

Toji coughed out blood, flying backwards and rolling across the floor. His chest had a fist-shaped dent in it. Toji dashed back and stood up once again. Despite the pain, Toji wasn’t fazed.

Toji thought to himself, (β€œNow that he’s alone, he won’t be a problem!”), a big grin blossomed on his face.

With an expression of a maniac, Toji dashed to grab the Chain of a Thousand Miles. Grievous tried to pull the chain back, but Toji managed to grapple onto it and tucked against Grievous. They were both locked into a thousand mile tug-of-war. Back-and-forth, back-and-forth, they pulled against eachother to no avail.

β€œStop… resisting!” Grievous demanded, struggling.

Toji replied, β€œNah.”

The chain itself started to break, until the combined forces were too much, and it shattered. Toji and Grievous both fell backwards, being caught off guard by the sudden collapse of the weapon. Grievous sprung into action immediately. He stepped back with one foot, got all of his remaining arms in position, and activated his lightsabers.

β€œYOU’RE DEAD!” Grievous howled as he started to sadistically laugh

As Toji got up, Grievous went after him with Thrust Surge. All three lightsabers heading straight for Toji’s heart. Toji wasn’t able to dodge in time, and-

CLANG!

…

…

…

Grievous was shocked, his lightsabers had… turned off?!

β€œWHAT!??” Grievous said.

Toji held onto the Inverted Spear of Heaven with both hands, blocking the hilts of the three lightsabers.

(β€œPerfect!”) Toji thought.

Toji pushed Grievous back. Grievous went to punch Toji, but Toji’s immense speed allowed him to appear at Grievous side.

β€œGOTCHA!”

Grievous felt a grueling pain in his leg, he looked down and saw the Inverted Spear of Heaven had been jammed in-between his armor plating. The flesh underneath was stabbed. Grievous was grunting in pain. He went to counterattack, but Toji moved out of the way with ease. Toji went to stab Grievous again, managing to stab the flesh of his left shoulder this time. Grievous managed to grab Toji. He turned on one of his lightsabers and sliced one of Toji’s arms clean off by the elbow. Toji screamed, but his screaming was quickly replaced by silent mischievousness as Toji pulled out his katana in retaliation, and he shoved into square in Grievous’ right eye.

Grievous was in insane pain, β€œARGHHHHH-!”

Toji was thrown to the side as Grievous took a second to process the pain he was in. Grievous’ other eye sharpening, as he glared at Toji who was also taking a second to process his pain.

Grievous laughed, β€œFool…!”

Toji looked confused, β€œHuh?”

Grievous gave the signal to a nearby Pilot Droid, who had been hiding nearby.

β€œRoger roger!” the droid responded.

From the depths of space, a Separatist Dreadnaught was hovering over Earth. The droids piloting it were sent the signal by the Pilot Droid on Earth. Without a moments hesitation, they aimed and fired at Grievous’ location with the dreadnaught’s strongest artillery. Toji looked up at the sudden flash of light heading straight toward them. He went from confusion to raw fear and panic.

β€œOh SHIT!” Toji screamed in a tone of pure panic.

Grievous’ maniacal cackling could be heard as Toji ran the opposite direction as fast as he could. But just as the light in the sky appeared, it reached the surface. An explosion the size of San Diego was born. The ground shook with so much force it was as if the landscape itself was shivering. Geto and Rika felt the impact from miles away. Just as the boom was born, it died in a cloud of catastrophe. The battlefield was set ablaze, and the sky was darkened from the smoke now present.

β€œngh… urgh…” Toji opened his eyes, grunting from the pain.

He was alive, somehow, but he quickly noticed that his shirt had caught on fire in spite of his dazed state. He ripped his shirt off and threw it to the ground immediately.

β€œGah!”

Toji closed one of his eyes and gripped onto his arm. The wound still hurt like the fire of hell. Toji took a minute to breathe. He looked at his now half an arm.

(β€œI don’t think I’m coming back from this… I bet the only reason I survived is cause of my gifted body…”) he thought to himself.

β€œGREHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” a looming cackle filled the air.

Toji turned his attention to the sudden sense of unease. He turned to look at his arm again, and noticed that it was… shaking. He was shaking, he was afraid. Toji looked ahead of him, seeing the shadowy figure of a cyborg exiting the gates of hell.

Toji reminisced, (β€œI haven’t felt this way since…”), his mind paused.

Toji saw glimpses of his past. He saw Cursed Spirits attacking him, ripping him to shreds, and above them, he saw his peers watching him as they loomed over him. For the first time in years, Toji let himself have a somber smile. One of honesty with himself, rather than overconfidence and bloodlust.

Toji talked to himself, β€œHeh… that’s the way it’s gonna be, isn’t it?”, he said with a quiet voice.

That trademark smirk and blinding white eyes returned to Toji, and that everlasting confidence was back. He looked up to see Grievous, approaching with glee at the idea of concluding their little charade.

β€œI’m surprised you survived. If you surrender now, I promise you will die quickly. Take it as my respect to you.” Grievous said with condescension, yet also a hint of genuineness.

Toji shrugged, β€œI’m full of surprises, aren’t I? Somebody stronger than even the likes of Satoru Gojo, and he’s not even a sorcerer. I guess that applies to both of us, in a way.”

Grievous chuckled, β€œIf Satoru Gojo was bested by you, then this cough planet must be one of the most pathetic in the whole galaxy.”, he mockingly said.

Toji chuckled as well, β€œI think I can agree with you there…”

β€œBy the way”, Grievous began, β€œHow did your weapon manage to turn off my lightsabers?” he asked.

Toji looked puzzled, β€œI don’t know. Must’ve been some stroke of luck. I figured that a weapon as mystical as that would have some sort of magical properties. Maybe the thing that’s powering it is similar to Cursed Energy, powered by emotions and a natural force that exists everywhere.”

Grievous laughed, β€œI see… then your weapon will make a fine addition to my collection!”

Grievous’ lightsabers ignited to life, and he got into his combat stance for the last time.

β€œIt’s time to finish this, Fushiguro, and I will laugh as this world mourns your death!” Grievous sadistically exclaimed.

Toji got into a combat stance as well, welding the Inverted Spear of Heaven in his remaining hand.

β€œTheres nobody on this world that will mourn my death.” Toji responded.

With hellfire behind them, the two combatants charged at eachother as Grievous let out an angry battle cry. This was their final stand. Only one will stand at the end of this battle, one last duet. They reached eachother and-

CLASH!

Grievous’ lightsabers turned off immediately upon contact. But as Toji went to take another swing, Grievous activated the lightsabers in response. Toji managed to slice the other bottom hand of Grievous off, at the cost of the still ignited lightsaber cutting across his leg. Toji grunted in pain, but he was too into the fight to let that pain bother him. Grievous leaped backwards, dropping one of his lightsabers on the floor and gripping onto it with his leg.

Grievous laughed, β€œTHIS IS WHERE THE FUN BEGINS!”

Toji dashed towards Grievous once more, their clash of blades continuing as the general laughed like a maniac. Toji noticed that his Inverted Spear of Heaven was being chipped away every clash. Despite disabling the lightsabers on contact, that millisecond the lightsabers are on is burning through the cursed tool. Toji was forced to duck and leap around Grievous’ lightsabers, as he was clashing with not only his opponent’s upper body, but his lower body as well. Grievous was focused on keeping his lightsabers on as much as possible. They exchanged many hits, slowly moving across the firey battlefield. Grievous was an unstoppable force, while Toji moved at speeds unforeseen by his world. They were both pushed back by the impact of their attacks, but charged straight at eachother and leaped a bit into the air. They were both laughing, not out of respect, but out of bloodlust. Toji gave Grievous a sadistic smirk as they clashed in the air, while Grievous’ eyes sharpened with the want to kill. They both fell to the ground, Toji improvising and grabbing the lightsaber that fell to the ground earlier from Grievous’ severed hand. He grabbed onto it, duel welding it with the Inverted Spear of Heaven.

(β€œThis won’t be a PROBLEM!”) Toji thought to himself.

The bounty hunter charged at the general, putting far more pressure on him with the extra addition to his arsenal. Grievous threw the lightsaber on his foot back onto his hand, so he could focus more on blocking. Everytime the Inverted Spear of Heaven disabled one of Grievous’ lightsabers, Toji immediately went to use his stolen lightsaber to target that opening. Toji’s natural skill for unorthodox weapons made using a lightsaber an easier task. Grievous dashed back, getting on all fours and Claw Rushing Toji to get him off his feet. Just as quickly as Grievous was on the ground, he got back up and charged at Toji, who speedily got to a crouching position to counter.

β€œThis IS where the fun begins!” Toji growled, with that same sadistic grin.

The assassin struck at Grievous with the Inverted Spear of Heaven, which turned his lightsaber off. But instead of aiming for the spots where Grievous would count, Toji aimed for the weak point he had already hit earlier in the fight. With the spear cutting straight through the already weakened flesh, Grievous’ foot fell off instantly. The general howled, being kicked into the ground by Toji who had disarmed him of his lightsabers.

β€œPretty fancy tool you got here!” Toji said mockingly, throwing Grievous’ lightsabers to the side.

Toji Fushiguro, the invisible man, gazed down at his opponent, who had fallen to his knees. With the lightsaber in hand, Toji had won.

β€œIt’s been fun… but this fight is over, General.”

Grievous stared at his adversary with rage. His eyes dilating, before his eyes focused all in on Toji. Without making a sound, Grievous subtly grabbed a blaster from his side and fired it at Toji.

β€œGAGH!”

Toji was set aback from the sucker blast, only to be met with two more shots from the now laughing Grievous. From the other side of Grievous, he grabbed onto the very katana Toji stabbed him in the eye with. The katana was still stained with Grievous’ blood, but Toji’s blood was soon to join it. Grievous lunged at Toji, and within a flash, Toji’s body was sliced in two. Toji’s expression was horrific, his eyes twitching as he processed his end. Toji’s motionless, wounded legs, stood strong, as his upper half fell to the ground.

KO![]

Grievous dropped the katana like junk, kicking Toji’s legs to the side and standing over the β€œvictor” of this battle.

Grievous, glaring at Toji, said, β€œYou were pathetic, Toji Fushiguro, and you will be forgotten for as long as I live!”

Toji simply gave off a small smile, β€œI guess so…” he responded.

Grievous walked over to pick up his fallen lightsabers, taking a kneel. He pulled out a holocron.

β€œSend in another ship… cough we are done with this planet.”

The droids on the other side gave a β€œROGER ROGER!” in response.

And with that, the battle had come to an end. The terror of the Jedi was victorious, and the boogeyman of jujutsu society was left to die in defeat. In a way, however, Fushiguro managed to save the world from galactic domination. Despite his crimes and actions of cruelty, maybe he died a better person than the people he hated all of his life after all… Not like a Zenin, but like Toji Fushiguro; the invisible man.

Results[]

Wiz: β€œThis… was an incredibly close match!”

Boomstick: β€œPfft, no it wasn’t Wiz. It’s New Year’s Eve and you’re still lying?!”

Wiz: β€œMy New Years Resolution is killing you Boomstick.”

Boomstick: β€œAnyway! Toji definitely had the advantage in independence and being able to adapt his strategy against different opponents.”

Wiz: β€œMhm. While Grievous has been shown to be more than capable on his own. His showings of complete self-independence are a lot more inconsistent than Toji’s. In fact, his most consistent and big portrayals have shown that he can actively struggle on his own without his military to back him.”

Boomstick: β€œThat disadvantage is further fueled by how overconfident he is. Grievous is a lot more overconfident than Toji is, and has a tendency to get in way over his head and be forced to retreat, or let his opponent get the upper hand due to his ego getting exploited.”

Wiz: β€œThat’s where Toji’s advantages end, however, as Grievous is another menace entirely.”

Boomstick: β€œPhysically, Grievous is more than durable enough to resist the majority of Toji’s arsenal. Toji can cut through a large variety of Cursed Spirits and people, but Grievous’ armor plating can take hits from lightsabers and artillery cannons. Hell, it was a pre-cursor to Darth Vader’s armor, which has survived COSMIC EXPLOSIONS!”

Toji: β€œWhile yes, Toji is more than smart enough to exploit the exposed pieces of flesh across Grievous’ body; specifically his eyes, Grievous’ insane strength is capable of warding Toji back.”

Boomstick: β€œIf Toji really becomes an issue, Grievous could just say fuck it and nuke the entire battlefield with space artillery.”

Wiz: β€œThe aerial strikes we’ve seen Grievous call out are 25.34 times stronger than the Red we saw Toji survive.”

Boomstick: β€œGrievous is way faster too! He can move at speeds almost faster than light. And even if we assume the highest end possible for Toji, scaling him to Kenjaku, who could dodge Choso’s Piercing Blood at Mach 6. At that speed, he’s still thousands of times slower than what Grievous has been able to react to.”

Wiz: β€œIn-short, Grievous is too strong, fast, and unpredictable for Toji to make use of his quick-thinking and insane reflexes. Wits come in handy, but sometimes they aren’t enough against overwhelming power!”

Boomstick: β€œDespite his tenacity, Toji could not run away from the general grieving of his demise.”

Wiz: β€œThe winner is… General Grievous!

Trivia[]

  • The connections between General Grievous and Toji Fushiguro is that both are brutal executioners of the superpowered individuals of their series (Jedi and Jujutsu Sorcerers respectively) who they absolutely despise due to the abuse they suffered from them in their youth (Grievous getting punished by the Jedi and undergoing a famine from them after the events of a war with the Yam'rii, and the Jujutsu Sorcerers of the Zenin’ clan brutally abusing and punishing Toji due to his lack of inherent Cursed Energy), being able to compete and kill then via their raw physical prowess they were forced to live with and weapons they’ve acquired over the years. One died a selfish egotist whose legacy crumbled around him while the other died a selfless noble whose legacy carried on in multiple ways.
  • Grievous is my main in Star Wars Battlefront 2.
  • ”Split Soul Katana” is incorrectly spelled as β€œSpirit Soul Katana” in Toji’s Weapons image in his analysis segment.
  • The entire fight was written around 20000 feet in the air, on six separate plane rides traveling across my country.
  • This fight was completed on December 31st of 2024 in my timezone. So, technically, this was one of the final what-if death battles of 2024.
