History[]
Friendly Shadow was once a part of Hive, the part machine, part human hive mind that controls Autodale as its third-in-command, under the mayor and the Matriarch. Eventually Hive realized that there was only so much that she could do from the tower, and the Handymen were only robots. She needed a way to personally intervene in important matters, so one of the integrated people were chosen, given a body, and made into Friendly Shadow.
Friendly Shadow deals with problems too difficult for the Handymen while also being as discrete as possible to ensure that the citizens of Autodale know nothing of things like Freaks that might make them question the city's ways. To justify his existence and actions to the public, he is portrayed as a superhero, ensuring the safety of the city and its residents from all that may seek to harm them. What are presented as tales of his adventures are available in the form of comic books, TV shows, radio dramas, and the like.
He, in reality, hates both Hive and Autodale itself, being the only person to realize the cruelty of the twisted mistreatment of its citizens, and is bitter over not having any ability to do anything about it. He betrays Hive at times due to believing what she asks to be wrong, such as when she wanted him to bring in an innocent girl and her friend, a Freak, to be killed, even though he knows he will be punished for it.

Weapons, Armour and Skills[]
He possesses the Tesla Cannon, a powerful handheld gun that fires blasts of electricity. It shots are normally quite powerful, comparable to, though likely a little less effective than, bullets (due to greater surface area), but it can also be charged for stronger shots. Charging for about one second results in a shot powerful enough to shatter a human skull in a single shot. It's designed in the style of a revolver, and a great deal of its design is completely useless, such as the revolving barrel. For some reason, it makes gunshot sounds when fired.
Enhanced Strength - Being made out of the same technology as the handymen, he can perform equal feats of strength as one, such as being able to kill a human in a single punch with relative ease, or simply by stepping on them. True maximum strength has never been shown, but these feats seem to be with little effort.
Com link - He always has access to communication with Hive, who can give him advice or information about any situation he may be in. Hive can also see through the link, but not necessarily through Shadow's eyes. She can see in any direction originating from him, being able to see backwards, above or the like to alert him to elements of his surroundings he may not be aware of.
Serious/Focused Mode - When in a tense battle situation, his eyes and the other lights on his face glow brighter, and his mouth stops moving as he talks. While like this, his humanity stops "getting in the way" to a certain degree, allowing him to fight more efficiently and without regard for himself. This may also make him more ruthless, as even after killing a Freak by exploding its head, he continued to shoot it nine more times. He doesn't become totally heartless, still being able to discern when the situation no longer calls for it and deactivate it. This "mode" does not actually boost strength, speed or durability, it just puts him in a better head space.
