History[]
Originally from South Blue, Cutty Flam came to Water 7 and served as an apprentice shipwright alongside Iceberg under Tom who created the Sea Train system to convince the World Government not to arrest him for his connections to Gol D. Roger. But due to the machinations of the World Government officer Spadam, Tom ended up being sent to life-long imprisonment while Cutty Flam appeared to have died in an attempt to stop the sea train Puffing Tom. But in reality, Cutty Flam survived and built himself into a cyborg by the time he returned to Water 7. Agreeing to hold on to the Pluton plans for Iceberg, which Tom passed to him, Flam became the city's resident hooligan Franky. But when the Straw Hat pirates came to Water 7 in an attempt to repair the Going Merry, which turned out to be impossible, it caused a chain of events with Franky settling scores with Spadam while joining the Straw Hats and providing them with their new ship Thousand Sunny.
