Background[]
Franken Stein is a eccentric but extremely talented doctor who once attended Death Meister Weapon Academy and graduated as its strongest Meister. From a young age, believed it stemmed from something that frightened him, Stein suffered a form of Madness that he acts through a violent tendency to see what makes things tick via vivisection and dissection. That obsession appeared to be an influence on his current appearance. While agreeing to return to the DWMA as an instructor, Stein is continuously concerned to losing control over himself as a consequence of Asura's freedom.

Stein is highly dangerous combatant due to his skill and power, and that is without the need of a weapon. While not physically strong fighter, using his soul wave length to augment his attacks in his Soul Menace attack, Stein use a combination of wit with numerous martial arts to effortlessly take down weak opponents. He moves at a fast enough speed to give his skilled fighters a hard time tracking him, has high stamina and endurance, and fight up to three fighters at a time with a fast reaction time. While using a Magic Weapon, usually Spirit Albarn or Marie Mjolnir, Stein can modify his soul's wavelengths into Soul Thread Sutures that latches onto an opponent and immobilizes the person so Stein can have an opening to attack.
