James was sent to investigate but was killed and betrayed by Pigma, a member of the StarFox team and was in league with the Monkey Mongols.
Outraged by the betrayal and the government not doing any action, Fox dropped out of the Acadamy and formed the second generation of StarFox with Peppy Hare, Falco Lombardi, and Slippy Toad. He then accomplished much more than his father.

- He and presumably Krystal are stated by a clairvoyant figure in a well to have been destined to be together and will go on to bring peace to the cosmos together; this obviously can't happen if either character dies and could explain why Fox is always able to somehow defy the odds
- Based on further dialogue from the well, this could be James McCloud's words as the well person calls Fox "my son" and this would make sense as he has manifested to help Fox on multiple occasions and in the comics got transported to a higher dimension beyond 3-D and possibly 4-D as the fourth dimension was acknolwedged and could be breifly tapped into yet James and the inhabitants of that dimension were beyond all comprehension
- He and presumably Krystal are stated by a clairvoyant figure in a well to have been destined to be together and will go on to bring peace to the cosmos together; this obviously can't happen if either character dies and could explain why Fox is always able to somehow defy the odds

- Cool & collected
- Killed Andross twice as well as a clone of him
- Andross being powered by an energy source that could rip a planet apart as well as his self-destruction being able to destroy a planet
- Andross also stated he would destroy the Lylat System when he was amped by the Krazoa Spirits
- This is supported by General Pepper stating Dinosaur Planet's magical energies being left as they are could've eventually triggered an explosion that would effect the entire Lylat System, and the Krazoa are able to channel said energy and are what created said energy in the first place being responsible for breathing life into the planet
- In Star Fox Zero, Andross was fought within another dimension, and the original translations denote it was "another space", which would imply another universe
- His defeat caused the collapse/destruction of this dimension, and you outrace the explosion in your Arwing
- This fits in line with his boasts about controlling the universe in other games as well as the original languages
- Ended the Lylat Wars
- Regularly bests Star Wolf
