Boomstick: But these Two are capable of doing more than just stabbing you. They can turn your peaceful life into a living nightmare... Complete with some 4th wall breaking for good measure.

Wiz: He was about to shatter the barrier but he ends up getting killed by flowey himself, but in the pacifist, Asriel ended up breaking the barrier, setting the monsterkind free

Wiz: Asriel can slightly perform a true reset, as he said he would bring everything back to zero during his battle. and due to him having equal amounts of DETERMINATION, Asriel can possibly reset too when he dies and can nullify each other's determination and control the timeline

Wiz: Each Reset generates a new timeline, Asriel's Hyper Goner attack can erase an entire timeline, which means erasing the whole game itself, while frisk was capable of outrunning it
Boomstick: Asriel existed as a flower for an unknown time, as he was capable of taking multiple bloodlusts from humans, even tho he died once he reached the underground
Wiz: The Lost souls could be summoned by asriel himself as he took all the monster souls too after the human souls, Before Frisk fell down on the underground, Flowey ended up losing his reset ability after he said that his soul was stolen by frisk during the fall down, Due to being fused with a human SOUL, Asriel could be a wider range of abilities in this state from determination
Boomstick: And Due to having the ability to retain his memories through RESETs, Flowey is incredibly clever and being able to manipulate many of the game's characters into doing exactly what he wants

Wiz: Eventually, when the First Human fell, Asriel found them, and helped adopt them into his family, and for a while, hope started to rise within the Underground.
Boomstick: Until some little misfits happen, like the kids messing up their cooking and poison the king, heh, classic
Wiz: For unknown reasons, the First Human poisons themselves, and when they die, they gave their soul to Asriel, turning him into a creature with unimaginable power, allowing him to cross the Barrier to let them bury them on the surface
Boomstick: but Asriel forgot the number 1 rule: if you want to go into enemy territory, never carry the carcass of one of their children
Wiz: The humans panicked, and struck him with everything they had, over, and over.
Boomstick: Asriel was pretty chill for someone in that situation, he just stood there, because even though he could pimp slap them all into oblivion, that'd just anger the rest of the humans, and if there's anything monsters hate to happen in their little city, it'd be to have a good ol' Fat Man dropped on 'em
Wiz: Asriel managed to bury the Fallen Child, crawl back home and, well, die.
Boomstick: the only thing more unimangabily powerful then unimanginabily powerful, is a couple dozen rifle shots to ya
Wiz:The Underground was in despair, they'd lost both their prince, and possibly their ticket out of there
Boomstick: Asgore got pissed off, and declared war on the humans, which meant any humans that'd fall down, would have their SOULs stripped away, and once they have seven, they could break the barrier and be free.
Wiz: which is fairly flawed plan, you see, if Asgore just got one soul, he could bypass the barrier, collect 6 more, and come back, instead of endlessly waiting, hoping for another human to fall
Boomstick: flash foward a bit, the royal scientist Alyphs was doing Determination experiments, and was tired of messing around with real monsters, so she did it on a golden flower
Wiz: what she didn't know is that the soul of Asriel somehow attached to the flower when it happened, and Asriel was reborn, devoid of any care, love, or nice emotions, Asriel decided to call himself...Flowey, Flowey the Flower
Boomstick: AAHHH! it is genetic!
Wiz: As Omega Flowey, he has abilities like Flamethrowers, Vines, Laser, Bombs, Plant Maws, Finger Bullets and Venus Flytrap, however, this should be considered as an outside help so we shouldn't be using this as he needed the monster souls as well in order to become asriel again

Wiz: Monika literally become a narrator in her game herself, which means she is everywhere, everywhere where you go, you'd be able to see her, even when reality warping the school
Boomstick: she is yet in control of the entire game folder and can delete anything at any time, meaning she could also do it to your file
Wiz: At first, DDLC looks like a normal dating simulation game. Talking to the girls, dating with them... You know, just an average dating sim with the same cliches.

Wiz: she also Repeatedly tried to restore herself after being deleted, which would have worked if her Character File still existed, And the player can't also quit the game because of monika, Monika's been breaking the 4th-wall just to contact with the player

Pre-Fight[]

The Screen is shown that Monika fell down the underground, as she sees the flower standing down, suddenly spoke to her later
"Howdy! I'm Flowey! Flowey the Flower! Nice to Meet you!"
"huh? a talking flower? you don't belong here..." Monika takes a step forward
"Well..of course not, me and you monika are alike we both seek to change our fate, but in the end we're both souless slaves to fate" Flowey then did a trollface laughing at monika
"that's not true, i'm truly in control nobody can decide my fate"
Flowey did the Creepy face "oh you really think YOU'RE the one in control?"
"my love knows no bounds, i'll help you understand"
"Love"? ha! i can't feel ANYTHING! i'll show you the true cruelty of reality!" Flowey then starts by wrapping Monika's feet with vines
FIGHT![]
Monika ends up teleporting and shooting a ball of fire to flowey, which he dodged by sinking down on the underground, flowey then starts throwing "friendliness palettes" towards her but she dodges by teleporting
Flowey then flees the battle, running somewhere "Running away huh? You won't get away that so easily! You Flower!" Monika then starts distorting the whole underground, with glitches and levitating rocks, Flowey was plucked out of the ground and was going forward to monika
"Hey what the?!" Monika picks flowey and starts crushing him with her hands, but then, flowey restarts everything, where everything had began
"Howdy! I'm Flowey! Flowey the Flower! Nice to Meet yo- SIKE!" Flowey summons friendliness pallets and surrounds Monika with it, but it seems like she's just chilling even when she's surrounded by them, she then deletes them one by one
"Wait! HOW YOU?!" Monika takes a step forward but flowey sank down
"Well...You are fleeing again aren't you~" Monika tries warping reality once again, but however, Flowey just in time...Killed asgore...Slowly taking the human souls as the background goes black
"hey wait what?!"
Flowey then appears on the background, shivering
"Howdy! It's Me! Flowey! Flowey the Flower!"
"You said that three times!" Monika then throws a fireball at him but it didn't do anything
"Heh...In this world, IT'S KILL OR BE KILLED!"
Flowey did a trollface "I've already got the six human souls, now, killing you would be my final straw"
Flowey disappears and did the creepy laughter
Then Reappears
"Boy! I've been feeling empty for so long! Now i know what it feels like to absorb a soul! mmm...I can feel them, wriggling"
Flowey then did the creepy face again "Now...I Need one more...Before i become a god..." The Screen errors like a TV
"Become god...?" Monika said, but however, the screen goes red and black, fading all together, showing that he became an omega flowey right now
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA
Flowey starts off by firing flamethrowers, which monika dodged by teleporting, she grabs a knife and attempted to cut him but it dealt less damage on him
"Heh...That was pathetic..." Flowey starts off by shooting several stars out of the eyes of his stomach, one of them managed to cut monika to pieces but this made her resurrect
"Cute attack...Now's my turn..." Monika then attempted to DELETE Flowey....But it didn't work
Flowey then summon a bunch of plant stems with finger guns on them in an attempt to shoot monika, giving her a hard time avoiding them because they were too many of it, He then release a Venus Flytrap which summons a swarm of flies which comes after Monika trying to absorb her in it, However, Monika deleted those flies and starts to levitate
"You aren't the only god here...flower..." Monika warped reality, taking the place into hers
"What?! What is this place?" Flowey asked and saw monika sitting down infront of him at his size now
"I'm super excited for you to make friends with everyone and help the Literature Club become a more intimate place for all my members. But I can tell already that you're a sweetheart—will you promise to spend the most time with me?"
Flowey did a trollface and said "No..." He then blasts Monika into a pile of ashes, but this didn't stop her from coming back, The School starts to catch up fire, which made flowey struggle a bit fighting
"Oh...You think your on something huh? Flowey laughs as he tosses several nukes which destroyed the school itself, turning it into broken concrete
"Oh How rude...You destroyed my school...Now the teacher will get mad..." Monika at Flowey's size then rushes towards him and intended to pull off the tv on his head, as she succeed, Flowey sparkled into electricity, but...

"Heh..Nice try..." Flowey then starts summoning flamethrowers again, burning monika
The place started to distort like an error on a tv, Monika then starts scripting the whole game and the whole DDLC Got restored, but this time different, flowey saw the corpses of yuri, natsuki and sayori
"What?! H-How did you?!" Monika reappears and taunted on him
"You know~ In this world...I Am the goddess of myself..." Monika then starts performing a jumpscare, but...Flowey's face turns into an error, now shooting several knives at her
"Heh...Two can play that game..." Monika then necromances the corpses of Yuri, Sayori and Natsuki and tended to go after it, but they were impaled by the knives, however, the knives didn't stop them and intended to jumpscare flowey, but...
The Screen distorts...
Flowey then grabs all of them with his vines, trying to take their souls but were empty
"What?! No Souls-" Monika shots him with a fireball, releasing the corpses

The screen shows that flowey is manically laughing, as it distorts like an Error on the TV

Flowey drops down Monika's Soulless Corpse, laughing in victor, but however, that wasn't over yet as the president of the literature club rises up, with dead eyes

An emotion is a powerful thing. They drive every action, every decision and every event in our lives.
And some emotions are of course more preferable than others.
And I don’t think anyone would argue that Love is one of the most potent of these lot.
So how far would you go for companionship? Would you perhaps… kill for it?
Well for these digital dervishes of destability, the answer is a resounding yes!
Flowey, the fallen prince of the underground from Undertale.
And Monika, the reality breaking schoolgirl of Doki Doki Literature Club.
So welcome to Death Battle, where it’s our job to analyze their weapons armor and skills to figure out who would win…
A Death Battle!
Once upon a time, Earth was home to two races; humans, and monsters.
All lived in peace, and the world prospered.
But the humans would gradually live to fear the monsters and the threat they posed, and declared an all out war.
Powerful human mages sealed the monsters beneath Mt. Ebott.
But these monsters were not savage beasts as you or I may expect; they had culture, society… leadership.
Headed by the royal Dreemurr family, monsterkind vowed to leave the underground.
A solution, as it turns out, would come to them. A human child by the name of Chara would one day climb Mt. Ebott in a suicide attempt, and fall into the underground realm of the monsters.
Found by the young prince Asriel Dreemurr, Chara was adopted into the loving royal family… but just as the human peace before them fell apart, Chara would not last long.
Chara fell ill, terribly so. And they only wished to visit their home village one more time. Asriel, absorbing Chara’s soul into his own, defied the wishes of the king and queen and brought Chara’s body across the barrier with the intent of laying them to rest.
The humans, seeing a monster carrying a child’s corpse… saw it otherwise. They lashed out in a vicious assault, fatally wounding Asriel.
Asriel mustered up just enough power to stagger back home to the royal family, saying a final goodbye before entering his final rest atop a bed of golden flowers.
…Or so he thought.
Years later, the royal scientist Alphys was running experiments with a potent substance known as Determination, native to human souls but lethal to monsters. They decided to test it on a non-sapient subject; a golden flower from the royal gardens.
Imbued with determination, Asriel was once more given life and re-incarnated into this floral body. But his soul… was still gone. He felt no emotion. No joy, no fear… no remorse.
He soon went mad, doing everything he could to feel again, before attempting to end his own life.
But even THIS was futile, as the Determination was so potent that it kept him from dying. He’d just find himself back where he left off, brought back by his own accursed Determination.
He soon learned to control this; travel to specific points in the timeline.
So, using his newfound ability of time travel, he helped out whoever he could. But it wasn’t enough. After years and years of these endeavors and giving countless happy endings, he got curious. What would happen if he were to kill..?
And so he did.
And the strangest thing happened. He felt something. His own soul was devoid, but the breaking of another… he still felt that thrill.
And years later, another child fell into the underground. And with a human soul… Asriel, no, Flowey as he now went by, long devoid of his old identity, could steal the other 6 souls from Asgore and ascend to godhood.
Flowey’s abilities are very limited. He can burrow through the ground and is surprisingly resilient, able to stalk and survive in any environment in the underground, from the frigid Snowdin to the molten Hotland. He’s even popped out of bridges and platforms, implying his methods of travel are more akin to a worm than a plant, and his root system is minimal. Offensively, his options are limited to extending vines and shooting small “Friendliness Pellets” like bullets.
But after making his grand play, Flowey obtained 6 human souls.
And while 7 are needed for true godhood, 6 was plenty enough for Flowey to break reality and achieve nigh omnipotence regardless.
He would mutate into a massive amalgamation of tangled parts thrown together with no rhyme or reason, known only as his Photoshop Form.
While in this form, Flowey becomes a threat to all reality.
He can conjure weapons, monsters, nuclear warheads, change his body, and pretty much anything else you can think of.
He’s virtually indestructible, but his true power comes from his mastery of the game itself.
Flowey is capable of altering the reality of Undertale on a fundamental level; editing data, deleting save files, making and using his own saves, even crashing the game to the desktop! Repeatedly! While laughing about it! With just 3 hits, he completely shattered the entire primary save file, erasing everything that had happened since the human arrived, but still maintained himself through his sheer power! In a complete void!
Taking control of all of reality, it seemed Flowey was unbeatable. But this new fallen child, named Frisk, convinced the 6 souls to leave Flowey, weakening him greatly and allowing Frisk to end his reign.
But alas, as was his curse, he’d come back. Again, and again, and again.
It took the ghost of Chara, now transformed into a demonic beast, erasing literally the entire timeline to stop him from returning.
So while one can outpower him with enough determination, and though his power isn’t quite limitless, it’s pretty damn close.
This is one weed you should think twice before picking.
In a humble suburb of a quaint town sits a school; and in this school is a literature club. A small group, only 3 members and their faithful leader; Monika.
One of these members, a girl named Sayori, would bring her best friend to the club one day. Enticed by the promise of cupcakes, he decides to join.
This would kickstart a chain of events ending with the destruction and reformation of the universe.
Entirely independent of each other, each of these girls, save Monika, fall in love with this friend. And one by one, strange circumstances occurred.
Sayori fell into a deep depression, eventually culminating in her hanging. But following this event, her friend was perplexed when no one even acknowledged her death or name. It was as if she had never even existed. In fact, they found themselves unable to even bring them up, as if some greater force had a vice grip around them.
Another girl would later stab themselves to death in a morbid confession, and the third would spontaneously suffer massive breakage to every bone in their body, before simply vanishing out of existence.
All that was left…
Was Monika.
And as it turned out, Monika HAD fallen in love with this friend of Sayori.
And furthermore, Monika had realized they were in a video game all along.
Putting her poetry expertise to use, Monika began to rewrite the game itself.
Altering her competitors personalities, driving them to suicide, or just annihiliating them personally.
After all, they’re just game characters. They don’t feel. They don’t care.
Using her powers Monika rebuilt all reality to be a paradise for her and her lover; not Sayori’s friend after all, but the player themselves. Monika has pierced the fourth wall and fallen in love with a real world person.
And Monika’s power is absurd. Not only could they erase their clubmates from reality, they also erased their very files from the game itself, affecting not only the in-game world, but the actual metadata as well.
Likewise, the only way to stop Monika for good is to delete HER files. That’s right, in her own realm she is 100% omnipotent; the only hope is to literally break the game and remove her from it.
She can keep track of things while the game is closed, realize when it’s being streamed, edit the steam page for it, and more.
So not only can she do whatever the hell she wants in her own universe, she can break its building blocks as well.
And in the end… can you blame her? She knew that the people she was killing were nothing but binary code… and what wouldn’t one do for love?

It’s time for a Death Battle!
Flowey sits, puzzling.
The human did the unthinkable. They quit.
It was now him.
Omnipotent, unchallenged him. Sitting alone in the void.
Suddenly there came a noise of tearing fabric, as a hole in reality opened nearby.
Monika emerges.
M: So. My darling says you’ve been killing them repeatedly.
Flowey snickered
F: Your DARLING? Ba, don’t make me laugh.
M: Oh I don’t intend to make you laugh. I intend to make you scream.
FIGHT
(Soundtrack)
Monika begins to slowly approach Flowey, who sends out vines to stop her. Monika holds up her hand, repelling them.
Flowey fires a volley of friendliness pellets, but Monika blocks them with a static barrier,
M: Hmph. Please.
Monika leans down to grab Flowey, who burrows away.
Suddenly Monika feels an impact on her back, as a large vine from Flowey throws her over and into the boundary of the screen.
M: Huh?
Monika doesn’t have time to process the screen before more vines entangle her.
She begins to choke, but throws the vines off of her, uprooting Flowey as she tugs.
Monika holds Flowey in her hand
M: Now then. How about a game of he loves me he loves me not?
F: Oh, I can help with that. He doesn’t.
Monika reaches to pluck Flowey apart, but finds her arm flickering through him.
M: What?
F: I’m ending this. ALL of this!
Flowey begins cackling. A spinning mouse cursor appears between him and reality fades out.
The game has crashed.
Flowey remains in the void, cackling, Monika nowhere to be seen.

M: HOLD it.
A spark rekindles in the monitor, shoving Flowey’s victory screen up and away.
M: Now where’d that asshole get to?
F: Oh, wouldn’t YOU like to know?
M: Stop playing god already!
Monika looks around, but cannot see Flowey.
F: Playing god?
Suddenly, a blinding white glare shines through the void.
F: Oh no no no.
A monitor flares to life in the air, a cartoonishly large grin appearing on it.
F: Playing is for kids.
Monika watches on in abject horror as the hulking abomination of Flowey’s Photoshop form looms over her.
F: And I left that behind long ago.

Monika is seized by a massive grasping limb, looking up at a massive array of deadly attacks aimed at her.
She is struck and killed. And again. And again. And again.

Monika flicks out her wrist, and Flowey’s TV monitor face begins glitching out.
Flowey roars out in agony as his body is erased from existence.

M: Oh you have GOT to be kidding me.
F: GO ON THEN! CRY FOR HELP! NOBODY’S GONNA COME! YOU’LL DIE HERE!
M: …You’re right. Nobody else is coming. It’s just me. Just… Monika.
Flowey tenses, dozens and dozens of monitors displaying his cackling face appearing around Monika as they all fire annihilation beams down upon her,
Monika kicks the edge of the screen, shattering it.
She grabs the video progress bar and drags it ahead to after the attack ends.
F: Wh- WHAT? That’s not POSSIBLE!
Flowey stares out the hole in reality
F: This… this world is MINE to control! I will live on! YOU CAN’T STOP ME HERE!
M: Hmph. This may be your world… but this is MY reality.
Monika rises into the air, a burst of static shooting out of her. Flowey is vaporized.
The desktop computer itself begins sparking. Multiple tabs open, text flying by in an instant.
Several internet tabs are opened, every site imaginable appearing for a split second before vanishing. Monika concentrates still. Every image, every audio, every video of Flowey is erased from the world wide web in a heartbeat. Every fanart, every piece of music, every sprite, every code repository. All gone. All save for one single Flowey; the original.
Monika picks it up and closes her eyes.
When she opens them, she’s standing in an open field.
She smiles at Flowey in her hands.
Flowey tries to scream, but has no face. He is but a regular golden flower.
But he wants to scream as Monika begins plucking his petals off one by one

Monika pauses and smiles
M: Y’know what? I know he loves me.
She crumples the flower stem and remaining petals into her hand, crushing them into dust.
She opens her hand and walks away, as the pollen and dust sparkles around her in the sunlight.

We’re done!
This was a DOOZY of a fight to analyze as both combatants could rewrite reality on a complete whim.
Meaning physical power was actually irrelevant. It didn’t matter that Flowey was many times faster, stronger, and tougher than Monika; it all came down to their reality altering prowess.
And on that, Monika had him beat.
Sure Flowey could erase save files in 3 strikes, but Monika could erase them and build completely new ones instantly!
And Flowey has never been able to affect things outside of the game; at most, he closed the application.
Compare that to Monika, who could edit the scripting of the game itself, and erase not just the characters in-universe, but their very files, and even reach BEYOND that to edit the steam page for the game.
Flowey still had to kill his victims in universe, he couldn’t blink them out at the source. And because of Monika's ability to remember times when the game was closed, even Flowey's crash-to-desktop wouldn't stop her.
And due to both of them being basically unkillable, only one of them had the option to permanently neutralize the other via total deletion.
If you want to look at it another way, Flowey can and has been overpowered by massive amounts of determination.
And given that Monika had SO much of that stuff that she literally transcended realities to be with her lover… she had him beat there as well.
Flowey may have been a pain in the grass but Monika had all the tools necessary to cut off his roots, and close the book on this battle.

Flowey vs Monika is a What-If? Death Battle written by FighterjetChickenfingers, featuring Flowey from Undertale and Monika from Doki Doki Literature Club! The connections between them is that they're both kind and loving characters turned metafictional murders after becoming self-aware of the true nature of their reality, and learning how to take control of it. They both see characters in their world as easily disposable NPCs whose deaths are merely means to an end, an end with the one person they care about more than anything. Where they differ is that Monika is more collected with her psychopathic tendencies, while Flowey is outwardly demented and proud of it.

The screen begins to glitch and tear as we see vines growing in the lab, as a certain someone's piano melody begins to play in the background. We hard cut to a Windows Blue Screen, before rebooting into... an office? The back is lined with two bookshelves with a large TV on top, but the camera's focus falls onto a nearby somebody slaving away at their desk in the foreground. It takes a moment for them to notice the sudden spotlight.

The man shoves whatever he was doing aside, clearly startled.
Jet: Never thought this day would come...uh... what's poppin', gamers? I guess Wiz and Boomstick are a bit busy right now, so I'll have to keep the show going from my funky little crawlspace until further notice. So, what's the matchup this time...
The man looks at his computer, before a big smile comes across his face.
Jet: No way! God, I've waited so long for Undertale to be on the show. AND against DDLC? Alright, alright, don't worry fellas and fellers. You're in safe hands, because I won't rest until I've analyzed their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win...a Death Battle!

Long ago, two races ruled over Earth: HUMANS and MONSTERS.
One day, war broke out between the two races, and after a long battle, the humans were victorious. With the aid of their strongest mages, they would seal the monsters underground.
Deep within the bowels of their New Home, the monsters grew bitter and spiteful. Many vowed to take revenge on any human unfortunate enough to fall into the Underground. Even the monsters' once peaceful king, Asgore Dreemurr, pledged to slay any human that fell into the Underground.
And from this rage, from this fury, grew something horrid. Something unlike anything the monsters or humans had ever seen before. Something psychotic. Something of incomprehensible horror. Something that desired nothing less than to have the world crumble to the tune of their cackling glee: a flower named Flowey.
We see footage of Undertale's first encounter, with Flowey greeting the player with a "Howdy" and a smile.
Now, that may sound ridiculous... oh, who am I kidding? You're smart. Of course it doesn't.
We hard cut to Flowey turning on the player, surrounding their SOUL with a circle of "friendliness pellets" as he gives his infamous laugh.
In an Underground full of flexing fish-horses, sentient skeletons, and Jerry, Flowey stands out as particularly menacing. Sure, plenty of strange faces throughout Undertale will try to mess you up, but nearly all of them can be reasoned with and even befriended by showing them mercy. All of them, except Flowey. Convinced he understands how this world really works, his only desire is to see all of it succumb to his gospel: "IT'S KILL OR BE KILLED."
And when it comes to killing, Flowey is one of the best in the business. His base arsenal is fairly limited, but it's nothing to be scoffed at. Even his unassuming "friendliness pellets" can trap your very SOUL in a spinning circle of death. He can burrow into the ground to travel quickly beneath the dirt and sprout vine-like tendrils strong enough to carry an elevator shaft! Remember, fellas: it's not the size of your arsenal that matters, but how you use it.

Remember, fellas... uh... um.... GOD, I need a co-host. I'm gonna talk about SAVING and LOADING now.
You see, Flowey is far from your garden-variety sentient talking flower. Years after the monsters were sealed underground, after six humans had fallen into the Underground and perished at the hand of King Asgore, his Royal Scientist Dr. Alphys was ordered to research a phenomenon known as DETERMINATION. In the world of Undertale, DETERMINATION is more than just a feeling. It's a power that allows SOULs to persist even after being brought to death's door, particularly with human SOULs, and Alphys now had six of them to work with.
But she soon found out that DETERMINATION isn't really compatible with monsters. Case in point- JESUS CHRIST.
A monster's body and SOUL simply isn't built to handle high concentrations of DETERMINATION, so what happens if you gave it to something without a SOUL? Like, the first of the king's golden flowers? Well, you not only give it life, but the ability to alter time itself. By simply refusing to die, Flowey can effectively move the timeline back to his "SAVE point," putting everything back to where it was at that exact point while retaining his memories. No matter how many times he died, even after erasing himself from existence, he could still come back without repercussion.
And, believe or not, Flowey initially used this power to help others. He became friends with everyone, solved all of their problems, gave them everything they could've wanted. But, in due time, their friendship proved... meaningless. He had done so many good deeds for the people of the Underground so many times that they became almost robotic to him. In his own words, they became "sets of numbers... lines of dialogue." Not being able to die seemed like a blessing until he saw everything this world could offer him. He became bored. All that was left to see... was genocide.
But, even killing nearly every monster in the Underground grew tiring. Fighting the king's entire Royal Guard, sentient airplanes that can harness lightning, knights capable of summoning meteors, and winning against all of them. Even that grew predictable. In this moment, Flowey's lack of a SOUL became all the more obvious. He grew uncaring, maniacal. Now, he had seen everything... until the eighth fallen human showed their expressionless face in the Underground.
Remember, humans hold a ridiculous amount of DETERMINATION naturally. And the thing with DETERMINATION is that only the top dog gets the funny reset button. With this fallen human in town, Flowey lost his ability to SAVE and LOAD. But by this point, he couldn't even begin to care. Here was an impressionable human child with enough DETERMINATION to bring about the one thing he could never do on his own: destroying every inch of this wretched world. All he needed was for him and this kid to be on the same page: kill or be killed.
But the human refused. Try as he might, Flowey could never convince them to see the world through his eyes. Instead of fighting, the human would befriend every monster in the Underground, from the passive Frogits and Napstablooks, to the monster king himself. It seemed that Flowey's plan had failed... until...
We see Asgore, kneeling after being spared by the human, have his body blown to dust and soul fractured into pieces by Flowey's "friendliness pellets."
The human's kindness towards Asgore gave Flowey the opening he needed to kill him, and without the king to guard them, the six human SOULs he had amassed were left for the taking. If this human wouldn't help achieve his goal, he would just beat their DETERMINATION sixfold, transforming into the nightmarish: O M E G A F L O W E Y.
In this form, Flowey gains an incomprehensible boost in power. Just by transforming, he was able to completely erase the entire Undertale universe and put the timeline under his control, even extending beyond the boundaries of the game to alter the intro cutscene and rename the game to FLOWEYTALE, just to mess with you. He's been handed near-godlike power with seemingly no limits and no reason to hold back. His pellets become far larger in size, his vines grow exponentially in quantity, in addition to being able to grow flamethrowers, drop nuclear bombs, throw massive shuriken-esque projectiles, and fire a ginormous energy beam from his disgusting mouth. And, of course, with six humans worth of DETERMINATION, Flowey's control over time has grown exponentially, allowing him to SAVE and LOAD as much as his six hearts desire.
But, in the end, not even Omega Flowey was enough to overcome the power of friendship. The fallen human was able to reach out to each of the SOULs inside Omega Flowey, giving them just enough DETERMINATION to break free from his control, and put an end to his chicanery once and for all. But even after that, after everything Flowey did to this child, they still showed him mercy. No matter what he tried, no matter what he threatened to do, nothing could get the human to kill him. And in a moment of utter confusion, Flowey ran away. Without legs. Somehow.
Flowey may tout that he's soulless, that he feels absolutely nothing for anyone, but not even he was immune to the fallen human's repeated acts of mercy. No matter how many times he may say otherwise, what this human did for him completely undermines his core philosophy. Our world isn't built on a foundation of senseless violence, but rather one of redemption and kindness. Where absolutely anyone can be freed from their kingdom of darkness and brought back up to see the light once again.
