These two wrathful powerhouses with gauntlets that expel powerful energy enough to keep up with their teenage rival, Will U.A's Explosive student be able to blow away The Shocker or will New York's most prolific bank robber get the reputation of killing a hero!
Intro[]
Irish: Pure Rage. It is easily the most powerful emotion that we humans can express. While most people only get angry every once and a while but there are a short few whose whole personality is based around it.
Sean: Yeah we all know those guys. A certain teacher, That one guy in traffic or even just some arsehole on the street. But thankfully most of these anger-fueled lads are all bark and no bite. But what happens when these guys can not only match this bark but even exceed it.
Irish: Katsuki Bakugo - UA's Explosive student and rival to Izuku Midoriya!
Sean: And The Shocker - New York's Living Earthquake and rival to Spider-Man!
Irish: Both of these guys can not only give you an ear full but can cause entire buildings to fall in on themselves if they were aggravated enough.
Sean: But who of these two will be annihilated in this destructive battle. Well, that's our job. I'm Sean and he's Irish and we're here to find out who would win a fight using facts and logic.
Irish: This is Death Battle!
Bakugo[]
Irish: Class 1A of UA High is filled with potential when it comes to heroics.
Sean: All inspired by All Might these young heroes have risen up the ranks and have grasped the attention of not only other students in this prestigious school but also other heroes.
Irish: With such lovely kids like Izuku Midoriya and Ochako Ururaka it's easy to see why. But there are some kids who started off easy when it comes to popularity, Like Shoto Todoroki being the son of the second most popular hero, Endeavor!
Sean: But there is one student whose loud and explosive personality and overwhelming power allowed him to gain the attention of the public and other heroes while also gaining some enemies...and his name was Vegeta Jr.
Irish: ...close but actually it's Katsuki Bakugo.
Sean: While his childhood friend Izuku Midoriya had a very hard life from the start, Bakugo's childhood was fairly easy since he was born with a pretty badass Quirk.
Irish: This Quirk earned him many compliments from not only his classmates but even his teachers. This constant praise gave him the idea that he was better than literally everyone in the world (Just like Vegeta) and with his fiery personality that he inherited from his mother...well it didn't mix well.
Sean: I think you mean his hot mam!
Irish: Well...I mean she's certainly nice looking (cough) well anyway, Bakugo began to bully his old childhood friend Izuku Midoriya because despite not having a Quirk he still wanted to be a hero.
Sean: He even gave him his nickname which even became his Hero name, Deku. Well anyway, despite this Bakugo and Izuku had one thing in common: They both idolised the greatest hero in the world, All Might. This made Bakugo want to be the world's greatest hero just like All Might.
Irish: But despite this bullying, Deku still believed that he and Bakugo were friends even calling him by his childhood nickname, "Kaachan" he even tried to help him up when he fell from a Tree Branch.
Sean: But this was definitely the worst move since this made Bakugo believe that Midoriya was looking down on him...which being the little Vegeta Jr that he was, made Bakugo even angrier and wanted to bully Deku even more. Hell one time he even torched Deku's Hero Journal, Threw out the window and told him to kill himself...fuck man...what a cunt!
Irish: Eh don't worry Bakugo got what he deserved when he was attacked by a Sludge Monster. But to be fair, He still managed to take him on during the struggle.
Sean: So it makes a lot of sense when he attended the UA Entrance Exam he managed to pass it with flying colours. And this wasn't just a written test, oh no this involved fighting Robots! Wait...how hasn't this school been sued yet it seems like a disaster ready to happen.
Irish: Oh absolutely. Well anyway, Bakugo got into the prestigious UA High along with Midoriya. Not only did he manage to attract the attention of the public for his...wonderful personality but he also matured quite a bit trying to make up for bullying Midoriya by becoming his rival. Ah, that's actually kinda beautiful.
Sean: Know what else is beautiful? The explosions this guy can make!
Irish: wow what a great transition my creative co-host. Well anyway, Bakugo can create these "beautiful" explosions because of his sweat which has similar properties to Nitroglycerin. He can then ignite this sweat creating the explosions that have made Bakugo famous.
Sean: Thankfully these explosions come from his hands and not from any part of his body. Like, imagine if Bakugo tried to use his Quirk only for his head to explode.
Irish: It wouldn't kill him but it would deffo hurt like hell. Well anyway, as you could expect the more sweat that comes from Bakugo's pores the more powerful his explosions and thanks to his Gauntlets he can store a lot more sweat ergo create more powerful explosions. These can range from tiny little baby explosions to big that they can be compared to buildings in size.
Pop-Up: Bakugo also carries around small grenades that he fills with explosive fluid (Potentially his sweat) which he can detonate. He also has Knee Pads so that he can "kill with his knees".
Sean: Holy shit talk about bringing down the house. No, literally all of the windows are smashed!
Irish: Bakugo can basically do whatever he wants during a fight. From flying around the place to basically using them to amplify his punches much like boxing gloves.
Sean: Sure if he does it enough it might hurt his arms a bit but it deffo won't hurt as much as you will after he hits you. Plus what's even better about his explosions is that when met with Poison Gas it can cause a big fucking eruption!
Irish: Don't worry your heads we'll get over how strong it was later.
Sean: Right after we go over that we'll go over his long list of attacks that give his classmates a run for their money. Surprisingly you can do a lot with explosions.
Irish: Indeed. Bakugo is known for his very versatile use of his Quirk, For example with Blast Rush Turbo, he can fly around the place in a manner similar to Iron Man. And in the Video Games, it's shown that he can use this technique to increase his running speed.
Sean: He can blind his foes with the Stun Grenade luckily he can affect anyone close to him...like a Stun Grenade. But if he wants to get personal he gets up close and fuck up your eyes with the Zero Distance Stun Grenade.
Irish: But Bakugo's strongest technique is by far the Howitzer Impact. By spinning through the air he collects enough oxygen and momentum to fuel an explosion that would make Hiroshima blush.
Sean: Oh don't think you can run cause you will still be fucked since one of these Impacts was able to encompass most of the Arena used in the UA Sports Festival. And that arena is surrounded by a 4 Kilometre track! No wonder Todoroki's ice got wrecked.
Irish: That ice is blue ice mind you which is the strongest type of ice. Regardless, If Bakugo wants to keep his distance he can use the AP Shot which basically allows him to shoot a concentrated blast which can go straight through solid rock like it's nothing.
Sean: Now imagine going up against hundreds of these rock-busting blasts all at once...well don't because Bakugo can already do that. Basically making him a human-machine gun!
Irish: Bakugo can use his mobility quite well with his Ex-Catapult or Explode-A-Pult which basically allows him to fling his opponents and even his friends (depending on how he's feeling) with enough force that it causes an explosion. Which wouldn't feel nice.
Sean: Explode-A-Pult...what sorta name is that!?
Irish: What did you expect he's a pissed-off 16-year-old!
Sean: Good Point.
Irish: But despite his emotional hang-ups and his age, Bakugo is not somebody to be underestimated. While most of the time he only uses his explosion to beat the snot outta someone but if he really wanted to get lethal he can make some cataclysmic blasts!
Sean: And these blasts can get pretty strong. So let's get the biggest boy out of the way, Remember the Howitzer Impact that smashed Todoroki's ice? Well, apparently ice isn't like glass.
Irish: As most people could tell, Ice is not easily broken especially Blue Ice which is the type that Todoroki creates. Judging by how the Ice covered most of the stadium which we know is surrounded by a 4 Kilometre track. I deduced this would take over 3 Tons of TNT!
Pop-Up: And considering that Bakugo did this during the start of the series. It's very likely that he can do quite a lot more than that.
Sean: Which is strong enough to take out a fucking skyscraper! Which makes feats like casually throwing a baseball 705.2 metres into the air at the start of the series look like a joke.
Irish: Bakugo's got some feats that are on that same level of strength. Remember how he threw Deku into Nine so hard that it created an explosion? Well to create that big of an impact it would require about 3.89 tons of TNT. Honestly blowing up buildings is pretty usual for Bakugo.
Sean: Especially since he's way stronger than a fodder villain who could slice a cruise ship in half and the fact that he can keep up with a 5% Deku and even land some hits on him.
Irish: During his fight with Ururaka he was strong enough to completely incinerate a volley of rocks that were raining on top of him. The resulting explosion was big enough visible from many feet in the air. Hell before hand he hit her with blasts strong enough to break the floor.
Sean: Finally, In his second battle with Deku he defeated him with this fucking blast. Which apparently requires about 1.28 tons of TNT which is again strong enough to smash a building. But Bakugo's greatest feat was when he blasted Nine's shield with this explosion!
Irish: Seems pretty standard right? Well judging from the size of the explosion we deduced that this explosion was equivalent to 8 Tons of TNT!
Sean: Oh shit! He wasn't kidding when he said that he got stronger.
Irish: But Bakugo isn't all muscle as he is pretty fast. While some of his fodder feats include him running 50 metres in 5.58 seconds which is great and all but it's nothing against his better feats like how he can keep up with Deku who without his Quirk could move close to the speed of sound.
Sean: Ah Bakugo can do that anyway since he kept up with Endeavor who was able to move before sound could reach him and his colleagues. He can also avoid invisible attacks against him from behind. And it wasn't a once time thing since he did it once in the manga and the other time in the movie.
Irish: Well Bakugo's greatest feat was when he battled against Tokoyami. The same kid who was able to block Kaminari's electricity which we figured out would move at speeds of over Mach 1!
Sean: Bakugo's really tough too. Not only can he shrug off the explosion of a mine but he also tanked being shocked by Kaminari's 1 Million Volt Attack. Hell he can even survive hits from a weakened All Might with such force that it made him vomit, Which is pretty impressive that's his only response.
Irish: Also remember that final attack he did against Deku? Well...Bakugo was literally in the middle of that 1.28 tons of TNT explosion and took it to the face!
Sean: But Bakugo does have his flaws (despite what he tells you) for one, While his explosions are his greatest asset...there is still a limit to how much he can create, otherwise it would muscle fibres to tare. And since his powers are based off his sweat he needs to keep warm. So cold weather is a no-no.
Irish: But despite this Bakugo has changed quite a bit during his time in UA. He started off as a bully but over time he began to feel guiltier for his actions, even becoming Deku's rival to make up for the bullying.
Sean: And eventually he became the thing he wanted to be the most...a Hero...man that's kinda beautiful...
Bakugo: I mean...if all they're sending against us are these Idiots...we should be fine!
Shocker[]
Irish: Spider-Man has made quite a lot of enemies during his time as a Superhero. Whether it's his constant interruption of their plans or his big-mouth doesn't really matter.
Sean: Yeah loads of costumed lads have wanted to kill the Spider-Man. Many of whom are some of the most threatening villains in the entire Marvel Universe and have done terrible things to Parker. Like the Green Goblin, Venom and even Mysterio!
Irish: But my god does the dude have some dumb villains. Like The Vulture. But today we will be talking about one of Spider-Man's "Superior Foes".
Sean: This Superior Foe goes by one name. The Shocker!
Irish: Well he wasn't always the dominating villain that he was, See his real name is Herman Schultz and he was born in New York City and grew up in the Bronx.
Sean: His non-threatening name aside: Herman was always a criminal throughout his life...but he wasn't great at the whole not getting caught part since he was arrested numerous times over. Now you would probably expect him to be just some failure of a criminal who would do nothing with his life.
Irish: Well one time Herman was arrested during a robbery attempt and because of how good he was with tools he was actually put into the Prison workshop. During those months the only thing he thought was that: "He would do better" when he gets out.
Sean: Well one day, Shocker came up with an idea. A genius idea. A weapon that would shake a safe door open with vibrations. Then he got to work. Building this weapon.
Irish: After a few months he finally finished this weapon and used it to escape. Problem was that the feedback had nearly killed him. So being the genius he was he decided to build himself a costume to survive these feedbacks and created gauntlets to fire off these vibrations. He even created a belt so that he could power this amazing weapon.
Sean: From that day on. Herman was no more. It was no The Shocker!
Irish: Shocker has been one of Spider-Man's most reoccurring villains and so has gone through quite a lot of change. From his change of being the confident villain that he was on his first appearance to the joke of a villain with severe confidence issues that we see him as today.
Sean: Hell, the dude had six arms one time...long story. Don't ask.
Irish: Yeah it's probably best that we just skip that. Anyway, Shocker has managed to fight Spider-Man for this long without dying thanks to his Vibro-Shock Gauntlets. By pressing the trigger with his thumb he can create some powerful vibrations which he can use for different purposes like for example: Silently shaking a safe so that it would op-
Sean: Or my personal favourite methods, Firing insanely powerful blasts that can just blow up those safes....and also any unlucky bystander nearby. Or if he wants to he can get up close and personal and by using vibrations he can beat the ever-living shit out of any hero who tries to stop him.
Irish: I was just going to say that you dick! Anyway, according to the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe: "The Shocker's Vibro-shock units act much like a pump-action compressed-air gun" which allow him to fire powerful blasts of air.
Pop-Up: These Vibrations can allow him to fly in a straight line.
Sean: ...yeah...as I said dumbass. But Shocker isn't a one-trick pony because not only can he fire these blasts upwards but he can also just grab onto his foes or any other objects. Which if it's an object it will break, and if it's a human being...well it's going to break as well.
Irish: These Vibro-Gauntlets really come in clutch for him during battles because not only does it allow him to overpower Spider-Man and even subdue She-Hulk (although that's an outlier) also if an opponent gets their hands on these beauties, they are booby-trapped to explode.
Sean: Now as you can imagine. His amazingly stylish suit isn't all for show since it's very practical in battle. Since it stops him from being splattered against a wall every time he uses his Gauntlets but it also has some other advantages like the Vibrational Shield which can stop attacks from Spider-Man.
Irish: It can also allow him to slip through an opponent's grasp even if he is wrapped in Spider-Man's webs. Hell, he can even use these vibrations in his suit to make the impact of his opponent's attacks a lot less dangerous for him.
Sean: He has made upgrades so that he wouldn't need his Gauntlets to use this great power...but considering he's back to using his old equipment now it won't be taken into account. But we are forgetting his greatest weapon...
Irish: Oh yeah. And what's that?
Sean: THE SHOCK MOBILE! A beautiful vehicle with a similar design to his which he can use to either crush his foes or just using the classic killing method of running them over!
Irish: ...well his belt powers all of his amazing p----
Sean: Ah come on! You can't just ignore it like that! It's a sweet ride.
Irish: Yuh-huh. But it's just a car. I don't think it exactly compares to two Gauntlets that can make Spider-Man look like a bitch and a suit which allows him to survive that.
Sean: I mean...it looks nice...
Irish: Yeah it sure does. Anyway, Shocker is very powerful with these Gauntlets. Not only can he blow open walls and send Police Cars flying. But he can also overpower and even nearly kill Spider-Man on numerous occasions. The same dude who can survive a building falling on him.
Sean: This would mean that Shocker would need to be hitting with a force of 4.45 tons of TNT. He also was able to derail a train and even smash some windows.
Irish: Sure he didn't exactly destroy the train but he did manage to bring down the tunnel onto it which was pretty damn cool. But Spider-Man isn't the only hero that Shocker has battled against. Because he has scrapped with and overpowered the likes of Daredevil and The Punisher.
Sean: He even managed to One-Shot Punisher so hard that he was sent into the horizon like a cartoon. And the Punisher is the same dude who can tank hits from the fucking Kingpin. (and honestly, it was fucking hilarious)
Irish: He has even blasted apart some big boys in the Spider-Man Rogues Gallery. Like Sandman and Electro. Which backs up his usual level of strength since Electro regularly blows up buildings!
Pop-Up: Sandman was weakened beforehand since he was in water.
Sean: Hell he even incinerated a swarm of zombies that were around him! Walking Dead be damned.
Irish: He even managed to knock over Luke Cage. Although Luke was caught off-guard so it shouldn't mean that Shocker is Town Level.
Sean: So in speed, he should scale to Spider-Man right?
Irish: Well...not exactly. I mean sure Shocker has caught Spider-Man a number of times during their fights but it's more consistent that Shocker is much slower than Spider-Man because it is the main reason why he always loses fights against him.
Sean: Huh makes sense. But without that scaling, Shocker still has feats. Like how he was able to dodge an attack from The Thing (in this beautifully drawn comic) but he also has a more concrete feat of speed where he was able to create a shield before a bullet could hit him.
Irish: Considering that this is Scourge its very likely the gun used was a Barret M82 which can fire at speeds faster than Mach 3. Pretty impressive for a normal human.
Sean: I don't think it's fair to say he's a normal human since he can tank quite a lot without dying. He has not only shrugged off punches from Spider-Man but he can tank a bit more than that. Like how he was able to survive being ricocheted across multiple walls although he was knocked out.
Irish: He can also survive being hit by his own Feedback which was strong enough to cause a tunnel to completely cave in on itself. He may have been knocked out but he was still alive.
Sean: That is sort of a sign that Shocker isn't exactly perfect. For one: The poor dude has severe self-confidence issues in his earlier years. And while his Gauntlets are great and all...but he sort of relies on them. Because without them he is just a regular human.
Irish: And while he is an Engineering Genius...he isn't exactly the smartest cookie in the world when it comes to combat thanks to his anger issues which make him easy to read.
Sean: Also, Shocker's Suit is the only thing that stops him from being splattered so if somebody even takes his mask off, Then the feedback would knock him out at best or kill him. He also...kind of a joke now, Sure he used to be taken seriously but now he is treated as a D-Tier Villain.
Irish: But even with all these flaws and his declining villainous, Herman is still a Villain that any Hero should take very seriously. Because otherwise, they would fucking die. So in short: Don't Mock the Shocker!
Shocker: Don't Mock The Shocker!
Intermission[]
Irish: Alright the Data is comprised and we have looked through all possibilities!
Sean: Oh man this is gonna get loud. Whether it be the explosions caused by this battle or the violent rants that both will be spewing, This match probably won't be great for people who hate loud noises.
Irish: Oh Michael Bay will love this one. Regardless enough talk let's get into it!
Battle[]
Location: New York City Bank!
The New York City Bank was completely quiet, The silence made the Bank seem still almost as if it had never been opened. Suddenly, this silence was interrupted by the sound of banging which echoed across the roof and walls. A second after the sound had echoed across the building a sudden blast of concentrated air had blown the hinges off the safe door sending it to the floor in a crumpled heap.
Smoke billowed from the broken safe completely concealing the cause of this destruction. Suddenly footsteps rang out and the silhouette of a large muscular man walked through the fog of smoke as if nothing had happened. Despite the fog, it became apparent that the man's hands were almost vibrating. Soon the man's appearance became clear, He was a tall and muscular man wearing a uniform comprised of yellow quilt patches with parts of his costume is coloured brown.
Around the man's waist was a silver belt with a lightning shape carved into the belt buckle. However, The most important part of this villain's apparel was his silver gauntlets which give him the strength to not only smash open Safe's with his blows but also keep up Superheroes. While this man used to be a common thug known as Herman Schultz: But now he is the Shocker one of Spider-Man's oldest foes.
"Piece 'a cake!" Shocker boasted as he ran into the open safe. Standing before him was a room full of stacks of money, But he didn't have time to idle. See, Shocker was in a bit of a hurry as he wanted to grab the money and run before the web-slinging thorn in his side could stop him and since he had broke in while the bank was closed, It wasn't exactly the most unrealistic of tasks. In a short amount of time, Shocker ran over to the tables and began filling his bags to the brim with money frantically.
Luckily in probably 20 seconds, Shocker had filled his bags full of money and he was ready to go. Holding a bag in each hand, Shocker rushed over to the door but just as he was getting confident that this job would end without too much of a fight he was interrupted by...
BOOM!
The blaring sound of an explosion burrowed into Shocker's ears, stopping him in his place. After a few seconds pause Shocker slowly stepped out of the door, Confused at what could cause this explosion. Within a second he could hear who caused this. "Alright you second-grade shit-head, Come out or I'll make you!" The aggressive voice growled making Shocker somewhat less confident. "Is that Wolverine? But that doesn't sound like something he would say..." Shocker pondered as he stepped towards the cause until finally, he saw him.
A blonde teenager of 5' 7" height stood a few feet in front of the destroyed front door which he had caused. Judging by the boy's black eye mask and the grenade gauntlets that he wore to amplify his power, Shocker figured out that this boy was some young vigilante trying to play the hero which made Shocker ease up. But what Herman didn't know was that this was the violent hero in training from UA High, Katsuki Bakugo.
"Ah, there you are! God, you somehow look more pathetic than I thought you would!" Katsuki insulted with a supercilious grin on his face. "Heh. Lotta talk from such a short kid." Shocker retorted as he placed down the bags of money. "How did you know I was hitting this joint anyway?" Shocker asked with curiosity as he constricted his hands. "You know you're not exactly the most subtle with that big ass explosion off yours, God you must be dumber than you look!" Bakugo growls in response.
Shocker gritted his teeth in anger underneath his mask. "Listen pipsqueak you move outta the way or I'll kick your ass!" Shocker threatened which only got a sneer as a response. "Nah if I ever ran away from a guy wearing a Potato Sack I would jump off a roof!" "Listen shorty, You don't have much to talk about costumes with those things at the back of your head. What are their wings?"
Kaachan growled as he got angrier and angrier from this dumbass' insults. "Shut the hell up! I'd say even useless Deku could kick your ass!" Bakugo retorted. Suddenly the two glared at each other...a certain aura filled the air almost as if a bomb was just about to go off. Then suddenly they went off...
"Rag Face!"

"That's it your dead!" Bakugo yelled in pure rage as his hands were suddenly emerged by fiery explosions and within a second he charged towards Shocker. "Oh yeah, tough guy let's do it!" Shocker threatened as he prepared to activate his gauntlets. But before he could do this his left arm was suddenly grabbed, The grip of this young man made Shocker feel like his arm was going to break like a twig.
Shocker yelped in pain before he was suddenly thrown into the open doorway courtesy of Bakugo. "AGGGHHHH!" Herman yelled as he smashed against the road but despite the pain, he pushed himself up gritting his teeth in anger. Shocker looked up and was suddenly met by Bakugo flying towards him, With a trail of flames behind Bakugo's grenade gauntlets. "I'M GONNA GET YOU BITCH!" Katsuki yelled in anger as he prepared to punch Shocker in the face. "JUST TRY IT BRAT!" Herman responded as he brought his hands up in defence.
Like a sledge-hammer, Bakugo swung his arm downwards a trail of fiery explosions trailed behind his open hand. "You gotta be kidding me!" Shocker swore to himself as his shielded arms were assaulted by a grenade-like explosion which sent him skidding backwards, smoke burrowed from the point of impact as Shocker regained his composure. "You asked for it!" Herman threatened as he activated his gauntlets.
"What are you gonna do slap m--!" Bakugo's insult was suddenly interrupted by a powerful wave of vibration which smashed into his torso sending him rolling across the floor, swearing the entire time as Shocker looked on. "I'll give you a slap alright!" Bakugo growled as he used his explosions to push himself onto his feet and charged towards Shocker. "Lucky shot. Don't expect it to happen again!" Katsuki bellowed as he narrowly avoided blasts which would cause his hair to sway as if he were near a hurricane.
Despite this, Shocker continuously fired off his blasts with the intent of blasting the child away as if he were a fly. But soon enough Bakugo finally got within an inch of Shocker and reeled his fist back yelling with rage. "Not the best idea kid!" Shocker said with an evil smile underneath his mask as his fist began vibrating before bringing his fist forward at top speed ready to send this kid flying.
But...that's not exactly what happened since Bakugo used his explosions to flip over the confused Shocker and when he finally got behind Herman he blasted his back with an explosion. "AARGH!" Herman yelled as he fell to a knee from the pain. Bakugo landed a foot away and walked towards Shocker who was twitching with pain and anger at this point. "What's the matter? Am I going too quick for you..." Bakugo taunted as he cockily came closer and closer.
"YOU'RE DEAD YOU LITTLE SHIT!" Shocker screamed as he turned to Bakugo who had gotten way too close for comfort. With his fists vibrating, Herman drove it upwards smashing Bakugo in the chin. Usually, a punch from any normal person wouldn't really be too much for Bakugo to deal with, He'd just shake it off and get back into the fight: But this punch was different cause not only could he feel the pain of the punch but also a vibration that spread across his skull and jaw, causing it to shake like a bell.
Bakugo stumbled backwards as his head began to shake violently allowing Shocker to get back up. Herman walked up to Katsuki like an angry toddler and with all the strength he could muster, Punched Bakugo straight in the stomach causing the Explosion King to vomit from the strike. An empty gasp escaped his lungs as he rocketed through the street, Finally stopping on a car causing it to cave in like it was made of paper.
The Explosion King forced himself to his feet as he cracked his neck. "Hey, kid so you wanna keep gettin' your ass whooped or are you starting to get some sense!?" Shocker taunted as he pounded his palm threateningly while walking towards UA's wild card. "Oh don't worry raggy it's gonna take a lot more than that to take me out..." Katsuki responded as he pointed his left arm towards Herman. "The question is..." He continued as he reached and grabbed hold of the pin on his gauntlet.
"Will THIS be enough to take you out!"
Herman almost didn't get what Bakugo was saying...until the teen pulled the pin on his gauntlet. From that small action, a violent reaction occurred within the small space in this gauntlet which suddenly caused a gigantic explosion to blast outwards towards Shocker. "Holy..." Was the only thing Herman could say in that short time before he jumped out of the way from the blast allowing it to zoom past him.
Before Shocker could even land he heard the resulting noise...
BOOOOOOOOM!
Herman turned around after the destructive sound of the impact had already rung out into the streets. What Shocker saw behind him shook him to the core, The entire front portion of the bank that him and Bakugo were just fighting in was completely caved in. To a point where the roof of the entrance had fallen into the newly created flames on the ground. "Holy shit he wasn't messin' around!"
But Shocker didn't have much time to think back on this as he soon felt Bakugo's fist smashing against his jaw like a train. The Superior Foe reeled backwards in pain as Bakugo rammed his fist further into his head. But that wasn't the end for poor Herman, oh of course not. Instead, his face was soon eclipsed by Bakugo's iconic explosions not only sending Herman flying but also tinging his mask from the heat.
But the Explosion "Hero" wasn't done with poor old Herman as with all the strength he could muster he flung the mocked Supervillain over his shoulder. Herman smashed back first against the concrete causing him to grunt in pain as he bounced into the air. Katsuki pressed on with the attack as he smashed Shocker's skull against the ground causing an imprint on the cracked concrete.
"Jeez talk about a drag..." Herman joked to himself as he patted away the small pieces of concrete from his costume, But soon he saw Katsuki running towards him with explosions ringing behind him like a rocket. "Heh keep runnin' kid!" Herman laughed evilly as he then placed his closed fists against the pavement.
Suddenly a surge of power coursed throughout the road causing the whole street to shake as if an earthquake just occurred. While Bakugo did slow himself down when he felt this earthquake but it was too late as soon his entire line of sight was eclipsed by a large fog of dust and smoke when the concrete had combusted. "COME ON OUT AND FIGHT ME YOU, COWARD!" Explosion King roared as he swiped away from the smoke; Growing more suspicious with each second.
BHIRRRRR!
Bakugo's eyes widened as he heard the sound of vibrating from right behind him causing the hair on his neck to stand up. "You asked for it!" Shocker whispered causing Bakugo to turn around frantically...only to walk straight into a powerful right hook to the jaw. Kaachan's whole head was forced in the opposite direction due to the force of the attack as spit sprayed from his opened lip.
"Not so much talk tough guy huh?!" Schultz taunted as he circled the stunned Bakugo, Imitating a boxer. Within a second, Shocker went in for another attack bashing Bakugo straight in the abdomen causing all of his organs and his ribs to rattle wildly. Bakugo fought against the urge to vomit as he peeled over to his knees whimpering in pain in an uncharacteristic manner. "Alright blondie, Let's end this shit show, Sayonara!"
With that Herman reeled his vibrating fist ready to end the suffering of his young rival. And in less than a second, Shocker swung down his weapon like fist towards the back of Bakugo's skull...only for his attack to be stopped by his opponent's gloved palm. Despite his hand rattling, Bakugo slowly raised his head to eye-level revealing the blood trickling down his chin...but also the look of pure rage on his face. The look of a man who was ready to kill the person in front of them.
"Uh, mercy?"
"Lemme think about it...STUN GRENADE!" Bakugo shouted as he swiped his hand to Shocker's eye-line and in a second a flash of light encompassed the area. Shocker yelled in pain as he cupped his burning eyes and stumbled away from Bakugo, Silently cursing to himself along the way.
The bright white light burned in Shocker's eyes as he tried to regain his composure but his agony was interrupted by the sound of a malicious laugh ringing in his ears and rapidly approaching footsteps. Shocker finally managed to see after a few seconds but he soon realised that his foe wasn't standing where he was a few seconds ago, not a good sign. Herman frantically looked around the area until he made contact with Bakugo...who was standing a few hundred feet away.
PEW!
Within the second of this noise reaching Shocker's ears, he was suddenly met by the sight of a laser-like blast rapidly approaching him at speeds faster than Shocker had ever seen anything go. Herman soon realised that he had no time to actually move out of the way...he had only one option and that was to create a shield.
And a good thing too because not one microsecond later the laser smashed into his shield like a bullet; Shocker sighed with relief as the laser had rattled the shield. "Phew good thing I did that. Otherwise, I would've had a hole in my head!" Shocker stated in his own mind. But his eyes immediately grew wide as he saw hundreds of those same lasers coming towards him like a machine gun. "Did you really think that wall all I'd shoot at you!"
Panic soon rose in Shocker's body as he decided the best course of action: Run like fuck away! Shocker booked it across the streets at top speeds, Occasionally ducking, diving and weaving along with blasting some of the AP shots out of the sky. After a good amount of time running, Shocker finally found a nice flipped over car to hide behind and wait for the firing to stop.
The sound of the metal door being pounded by hundreds of small blasts rung in Shocker's ears as he waited for an opportunity to run out of there and finish off the youngster. Shocker peaked over the car looking to see if it was time for him to attack only to find that Bakugo was walking towards him, rapidly firing off his shots. "Ah crap..." Shocker cursed himself as he realised that if the bottom of this car continued taking this beating...well he would go out on a bang.
"Ah come on man...Think, Think!" Shocker shouted to himself in a panic as he placed both of his hands on his temples. Suddenly, numbers and calculations flew past Shocker's head as he stayed in deep thought and after a minute he figured it out. His plan of action. Herman said a silent prayer as he aimed his gauntlets to the floor...
BOOM!
Shocker then suddenly blasted the ground underneath him, Propelling him backwards thanks to the force of the blast. "HAHAHA SUCKER!" Shocker taunted as his voice became more silent with each passing second. Bakugo growled in anger before placing his hands to the ground behind him. In a manner similar to Shocker, Katsuki used his explosions to send him flying towards Shocker at top speed as if he were Iron Man.
"WHOSE THE SUCKER NOW!" Bakugo yelled with an evil smile on his face as he came closer and closer to the panicked villain. "God you really don't give up huh...all right let's go fly kid!" Shocker responded as he aimed his gauntlets at Bakugo once again before firing off his blasts of vibrations towards Bakugo with the intent of knocking him out of the air.
Just barely outmanoeuvring the ray of vibrations, Bakugo rocketed his way towards Shocker already preparing a powerful swipe with an explosion seasoning. But Shocker's previous attack propelled him backwards allowing him to avoid the explosion, Herman watched as Katsuki continued his rampage.
Herman didn't quite like the idea of being turned into ashes from a fiery blast so he fired off another shot from his gauntlets sending him flying backwards. Bakugo growled as he swiped away the blast of vibration with his own explosion: The Explosion King posed his left hand into a circle and once again fired off his...
"AP SHOT!"
Yeah, that. Herman didn't say anything as he placed his arms to his chest in an x formation allowing him to put up his shield once again. The sound of the Ap Shot bouncing off his shield rung in Herman's ears as he continued to keep his guard up, But when he opened his eyes he soon saw Bakugo flying towards him. "Aw god, d.." Before he could finish this sentence, Shocker was grabbed by his head and effectively smashed scalp first into the pavement.
BOOM!
A powerful explosion blasted across the city block, Tinging everything in the entire street as if it had been lit on fire. A burnt crater stretched 40 feet across the street. Now you would expect that everyone in the entire area would be long dead but standing up from the crater were a slightly injured Bakugo and Shocker.
"That...all you got...bitch..." Bakugo insulted through deep breaths. "You...wish...blondie..." Schultz retorted as he stared at his younger opponent. While keeping eye contact with Shocker, Bakugo spat on the floor once again before whipping his mouth. After the moment of silence had ended, The two enraged gauntlet wielders yelled with anger as they charged towards each other with their fists reeled backwards.
It only took 10 seconds before the two had finally met each other. With that, Bakugo and Shocker attacked throwing powerful haymakers towards each other's way. Shocker and Bakugo's heads were forced back as their punches smashed into their cheeks, Suddenly the two were sent flying backwards from the force.
Herman rolled across the floor, Grunting the entire way. The Villain pushed himself up as he saw Bakugo doing the same so he decided to beat him to the punch; Raising his enclosed hands once again, Shocker fired off his Vibrational Blasts at the rising Bakugo. Katsuki had no time to think so he was forced to tank this blast to the face. Growling in pain, Bakugo still managed to stand tall and blasted upwards like a rocket.
Shocker saw this but he wasn't too worried, He made his blast go upwards to follow after the Explosion King. The now-familiar sound of Shocker's oncoming blasts rattled in Bakugo's ears allowing him to turn around just in time to see it inches away from him. In a flash, Bakugo turned around and countered it with an explosion shielding him in smoke.
Thanks to the smoke, Shocker had no idea that Bakugo was not only alive but getting ready to attack. But soon he figured this out when he saw Bakugo flying towards him, His mask was burnt off and bits of his costume was ripped open. Shocker activated his gauntlets and brought forth an energised uppercut.
Katsuki noticed this and so countered with a downward swipe, Causing a powerful shockwave to blast across the street. Despite the rattling in his bones, Bakugo continued with the assault as he attempted a powerful left hook. Shocker countered with his own left hook, This then lead to both combatant's battering each other with a flurry of punches which impacted onto their fists. Both yelled as loud as they could as the collisions became more and more heated.
The air around the combatants became hotter and hotter as a result of this struggle while the shockwaves became stronger and stronger with each passing second. Herman managed to break through this struggle and bashed Bakugo straight in the rib with a left hook. While Bakugo's ribs rattled, Shocker went in for a backhand sending him flying backwards.
Shocker fired off another shot once again scraping the road as it made its way towards the stunned Bakugo. Katsuki regained his composure just before he took the brunt of the blast making the poor Hero fall to the floor, Smoke coming from his ripped costume. Bakugo's arms rattled as he pushed himself up just to only be punched straight in the face making him reel backwards from the force. While Bakugo was stunned, Shocker then flung the Hero in Training over his shoulder making him bounce on the concrete.
"Holy crap...did I do that?" The Villain whispered to himself as he looked down at his palms. "Yeah...you fucked up!" Kaachan growled through gritted teeth, The source of his anger was that very attack reminded him of when Deku had done it to him so long ago. And as people in Bakugo's life would know...Deku is one thing that sets him off. Pun not intended.
BANG!
Before Shocker could process what he heard he was suddenly pelted in the stomach with an explosive powered punch right to the stomach leaving him open for an uppercut that nearly knocked him off his feet. The pain in his arms signified to Bakugo that he had used his explosion too much during his battle, But that didn't stop the Drumming Student to continue beating down on Shocker's face. Herman tried to defend but it was soon broken down from the onslaught.
Bakugo yelled a primal roar as he delivered a powerful punch towards Shocker's way. The non-threatening villain through instinct grabbed hold of Bakugo's head. Suddenly Shocker turned on his gauntlets causing not only Bakugo's skull and his brain to shake violently making the young hero's teeth chatter as if he were in a storm.
After a few seconds of this shaking, Shocker let go of the convulsing Bakugo and readied himself for an uppercut. "Homerun!" Schultz said with a smirk underneath his mask as he smashed his gauntlet straight into Bakugo's jaw sending the hero screeching across the air like a firework. Herman whistled with pride in this result as he watched Bakugo fly farther and farther away, Seemingly knocked out from the punch.
"That's what that little crap deserves...aw man my mon--!"
PEW!
This statement was suddenly cut off when Shocker felt his shoulder being blown open from...an AP Shot. "Jeez, that was fast!" Shocker joked as he turned around only to see Bakugo flying towards him almost as if he hadn't been hit at all. "I TOLD YOU, YOU FUCKED UP MESSING WITH ME!" Suddenly as Katsuki said this he began spinning across the air like a shot down aeroplane, Streaks of flames followed Bakugo's arms as he spun around.
It wasn't long before Bakugo's body was completely encompassed by flames that covered the entire sky as he flew closer and closer. Shocker sighed to himself as he realised that there were only two ways this was going to go: Either he would die in this explosion like a bitch...or he would fight back and survive...and well...he wasn't going to let that happen. "I'M NOT GOING TO DIE LIKE A BITCH!" With this statement, Shocker reeled his non-injured fist backwards and activated his Vibro-Gauntlet one last time.
"HOWITZER..."
"YOU'RE GOING DOWN!"
"IMPAACCTTTT!" Bakugo yelled with all the strength in his lungs as the momentum of his previous movements caused a powerful explosion to build up in his palm. Herman retorted with a punch with everything he had, His muscles flexed as his fist made contact with Bakugo's palm...the result was...
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
(Stop Music)
A massive explosion of unprecedented size ripped throughout the area incinerating buildings, cars and everything that was unlucky to be there. The sheer size of the explosion could be compared to a nuke in size as it grew taller and taller. Finally, after a few minutes, the explosion finally died down: Leaving a massive crater and a dead silence behind while the wind blew away the black smoke. The place where Shocker and Bakugo stood was empty and silent.
Suddenly, the sound of rubble rustling echoed across the empty area as it became more frequent and louder. Suddenly, an arm shot out from the rubble which was then followed by a blonde head of hair revealing that the survivor of this explosion was in fact, Katsuki Bakugo. The Hero in Training looked around his surroundings as he stood back up only to find Shocker's disembodied gauntlet which was only worn by the former villain's ashes.
"Heh...take...that..." Bakugo taunted with a smirk as he fell backwards knocked out before he could hit the floor. Finally, ending this destructive battle.
Results[]
Sean: So much for being a Superior Foe of Spider-Man!
Irish: Now don't get us wrong. This battle wasn't an easy one to figure out. Hell, there was even a point in time during production where Shocker was going to win. But in the end, we realised that Bakugo could pull off a cheeky victory.
Sean: Let's go over these guys' attack potency. Now Shocker can come close to killing Spider-Man through strength alone which is really impressive since the Wall-Crawler can survive 4 tons of TNT and still keep on trucking. But this is the thing: Remember that explosion that Bakugo hit Nine with? Yeah, that's worth 8 tons of TNT. Double the power that Herman can produce.
Irish: Now you may be saying "But Shocker hurt Luke Cage and that dude survives Town Level explosions. Isn't that way better than any of Bakugo's feats?" well yes he did hurt Luke. But you see, Cage was distracted fighting another villain when Shocker hit him with that cheeky punch. But even then Luke nearly died from that explosion and it's clear that Herman didn't cause that amount of damage to him.
Pop-Up: The train feat is also pretty sketchy since the inside of the train was mostly fine. Sure he blew out some windows but he more derailed the train than destroy it.
Sean: Now to be fair to Herman while he may have less firepower than Bakugo he still had greater reaction speeds by three times. However, the problem for Herman was that he still wasn't quick enough to actually dodge these attacks. See since Bakugo's explosions are created from nitroglycerin it would mean they can move at speeds of Mach 22. Way faster than Shocker can react!
Irish: Which considering that Bakugo is stronger than Shocker...it wouldn't be good for poor old Herman. See it is shown pretty consistently that Shocker's own blasts aren't good for him. Without his costume, these blasts would kill him and even when he has them on he has shown to be knocked out from his own blasts redirected onto him.
Sean: So it's entirely possible that Bakugo could one-shot Shocker. Either knocking him out with one strike or at worst kill him immediately. Also while his shield can tank hits from Spider-Man we already established that Bakugo is stronger than both Spider-Man and Shocker and we've never seen this shield survive something of that calibre. So saying it would be an assumption.
Irish: And we don't do assumptions here. Well anyway, Another one of Bakugo's greatest advantages is his intelligence. Sure Herman is a very smart engineer and if this was a contest of who could build an engine faster it would be a completely different story. However, Shocker is shown consistently to not be that intelligent in a fight and is kind of gullible. Which against somebody like Bakugo who is one of the smartest people in 1-A...yeah it wouldn't go well.
Sean: Especially since Shocker is more likely to lose his cool in battle, funnily enough. See to really piss off Bakugo it would require somebody to know his specific buttons like being weak and or Deku. Which Shocker wouldn't know about: While Shocker can get irrationally angry if a fight doesn't go his way.
Pop-Up: Also even while pissed off, Bakugo can still use strategy in battle while Shocker just starts doing very predictable attacks. Which somebody like Bakugo could easily avoid.
Irish: Katsuki's biggest advantages were actually these two things: 1) His superior mobility and 2) His versatility. See with Katsuki's explosions he is known to fly around the place as if he were a human-sized rocket. Sound familiar? Well because that is nearly exactly the same way as Spider-Man fights. Which Shocker constantly loses to.
Sean: But wait didn't Shocker develop a strategy to beat Spidey's mobility, Why couldn't he do that to Bakugo?
Irish: Well that panel...is a bit out of context. See what happened in this scene was that the train was filled with a bunch of Jury for a big case and Spider-Man just so managed to be on it and Shocker was there to kill the jury. So basically Shocker didn't actually strategise a way to beat Spidey's manoeuvrability he was more in the right place at the right time. Even then; It's very unlikely that Shocker would trick Bakugo of getting into that sort of spot.
Pop-Up: Sure Shocker has shown to direct his blasts upwards this has only been shown once and even then Bakugo can move a lot more freely in the air. And since Shocker's own flight only allowing him to move straight, He is utterly dominated in the air.
Sean: See that's all well and good but it's very unlikely that Herman would survive that long because of Bakugo's long list of attacks. See with the AP Shot he could blow Shocker away like in an old mobster film, Nuke him with the Howitzer Impact or blind him with the Stun Grenade. And about that shield even if Shocker could tank these blasts Bakugo could just use a Stun Grenade to blind him and before he could put up his shield, just incinerate him.
Irish: Herman's equipment surely is one of the greatest weapons in Marvel's street tier but they have their serious weaknesses. One of them being Herman's reliance of them. For example, if Bakugo breaks his gauntlets then Herman has no way to fight back and if Bakugo cuts Shocker's costume then if he tries to attack he would basically be a human kamikaze...except it wouldn't kill his target.
Sean: Sure Herman's gauntlets are booby-trapped and can be blown up like a grenade but this wouldn't be any use in this fight. Like I mean why would Bakugo even pick up one of his gauntlets considering how arrogant he is. But as well Katsuki can easily just tank the blast or just fling it away. Which would basically leave Shocker up shit's creek without a paddle...literally...
Irish: So to cut this explanation short. While Shocker may be a sure-fire threat and could've won under some circumstances but because of Bakugo's sheer firepower, attack speed, intelligence and versatility: He had to take this L.
Sean: I know it's quite Shocking but don't worry at least Herman went out with a Bang!
Irish: Sad thing is...that was one of your better ones...The winner is Katsuki Bakugo!

Connections:
- The obvious connection between Bakugo and Shocker is that they are very easily aggravated they both also have gauntlets to use their power-based abilities.
- Both Bakugo and Shocker feel very undermined by their rivals.
- A difference between the two of them is that Bakugo despite his anger is depicted as very intelligent in battle while Shocker may have some moments of wit, Is usually depicted as pretty dumb.
- They both have similar rivals (Spider-Man and Izuku Midoriya)
- Despite their antagonistic personalities, both are not really that villainous. Sure Shocker may be a supervillain but he isn't necessarily evil like Spider-Man's other rogue's.
