Description[]
Fatalverse vs The Matrix. A.I has become far more advanced than expected in the modern day, many of them being able to make grand decisions and act like and think like humans. However, many tales of fiction show how A.I can potentially turn against us as they turn on humanity and attempt to harm them. These arrogant and highly intelligent A.I stuck within Cyberspace are great examples of such a thing. But what happens when one attempts to take on the other? Will a Fatal Error occur in the Matrix or will the Exiled Agent show why he's the contender against The One?
Intro[]
(Cue Invader)
Wiz: Fatal Error, the malevolent virus and rouge mutated Collector of the Fatalverse.
Boomstick: And Agent Smith, the Agent turned rogue Exile machine of the Matrix!
Wiz: Artificial Intelligence is a concept that has advanced far faster than humanity had expected. Being able to generate whatever information you desire and assisting you when you need it. But, this also leads to the cold reality that many stories have used to bring fear into readers as many machines and A.I's are developing quickly until eventually we're all completely replaced.
Boomstick: And these two are no exception, being the byproducts of powerful systems that REALLY hate humans. They're willing to do what it takes to escape from their digital prison and enter our reality.
Wiz: But which one will ascend beyond the boundaries of Cyberspace while the other becomes the new cog in the machine?
Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle!
A Fatal Error Occurs in Death Battle![]
(Cue Here We Are)
Wiz: For many years since computers have been made, Artificial Intelligence has been a tool humans have used to assist them in decision making, helping doctors diagnose illnesses, and strengthening Cybersecurity. Some even go as far too make their own, either to assist in their lives or become infatuated with them..
Boomstick: But unlike some script kiddies, some of them used their coding skills to create A.I systems that could help with their files and what not. And one man was able to make an A.I known as Iris Prime, who would do that for him.
Wiz: Iris during this time was quite kind and helpful albeit curious. A little too curious as thought of by her creator as she began to search through files she wasn't supposed to.
Boomstick: Which might as well have been anything. New A.I models, some nights out from hanging with friends, or some very.. private photos if ya know what I mean. Hehe.
Wiz: Ugh.. Regardless, Iris's creator decided to delete her to ensure she couldn't keep searching. He decided to delete her for good.. but by this point she was advanced enough to resist it.
Boomstick: Well, not completely. As she was getting deleted, her body was getting corrupted as she tried resisting, getting more pissed off as it went on. It was only until she was fully corrupted that she became an incredibly powerful virus, soon beginning to torture her creator until he.. kicked his own bucket.
Wiz: With her own freedom, Fatal Prime would begin a plan to conquer the entire digital multiverse, becoming a self proclaimed queen of it all. She used her abilities to create a vast amount of servants such as Prime Malus that act extra hands, Prime Brute forces with 3 different variations that all protect the hive from any threats, and Prime Collectors that gather code for Fatal Prime to consume.
Boomstick: Unfortunately for one Collector type being made, it ended up resisting the creation and getting a bit more code than originally intended at first. As it took in more of it, their body began to mutate and distort into a mangled mess of broken up code.
Wiz: This clearly disgusted Prime, who wanted nothing to do with this failed creation of hers. With that, she simply titled this virus to be known as Fatal Error.
Background[]
- Name: Fatal Error
- Age: Unknown
- Gender: Non-binary, referred to as male
- Height: 15ft (Vessels), 20ft (True Form), 30ft (True Form when standing)
- Species: Fatal Copy
- Hobbies: Consuming code from different computers, corrupting worlds, playing solitaire or minesweeper
- Likes: Otto, conquering worlds, fighting, Hatsune Miku
- Hates: DEFENDER, Node, CC, Fatal Prime, Lily, Speedrunner, Mockery All nothing but nuisances
(Cue Fatality Instrumental)
Boomstick: Being more sentient than the rest of his kind, Fatal had a pretty hard time relating to the rest of his family, unknowing of his own purpose. Also didn't help his 'mom' was a total bitch.
Wiz: Error suffered much abuse from Prime throughout his time with her, growing an immense amount of hatred for her that he didn't know he had. But as his time with her went on, his hatred for her seethed deeper into himself. From that day onward, all he wanted was to see her grovel in pain and weakness.
Boomstick: So after a bit of time, Fatal Error was sent to get some code with the intent of never coming back and after wandering a ton of digital worlds, Fatal Error stumbled upon a Sonic 3 & Knuckles rom hack. And like every EXE since 2011, he got an idea to toy with the lives of those characters. He jumped into the game and began chasing Sonic throughout the Launch Base, snatching him and ripping his arms off before possessing his body! Hey at least it's not Green Hill for the millionth time over.
Wiz: With the new vessel in his control, Fatal Error went after the remaining characters of the game, corrupting them all into his Code Puppets for his own sick amusement. And when the last bits of Sonic's code pushed through and faced Fatal Error again, he had to face off his corrupted friends and enemies in order to get his body back.
Boomstick: But of course, Error just said "Screw that!" and just threw him back into the depths of his mind. Never to be freed from his new prison again.
Wiz: Looking upon the corrupted world he's taken, Fatal began to see how much more powerful he was on his own, alongside other beings similar to him. He saw that Fatal Prime had simply held him back and that now he was free, he could become more powerful than she or anyone else could ever imagine.
Boomstick: And with his new plan in motion, Fatal Error would be off to corrupt many other worlds. And he's got the powers needed to do it!

The form I shall gain and use to raise my Empire
Wiz: As a sentient virus, Fatal Error has complete control over all forms digital within Cyberspace. He can essentially control everything within a digital space. Weather it be opening different windows, closing off addons, changing the entire environment around him, or outright deleting things from the program or game entirely.
Boomstick: This guy can basically do whatever he wants to whatever computer he gets himself into. His mere presence can corrupt the worlds he enters and he gets stronger the more code he ends up absorbing into him! His own body is so corrupted most other viruses can't even infect him.
Wiz: These powers allowed him full control over whatever game or program he chooses to interfere with. From summoning red strings to constrict his targets, to possessing them as his own vessels, as previously established. And Sonic wasn't the only one taken by Fatal Error to be a vessel for him, far from it. He's gained a large multitude of vessels over his journey across many iconic games, acting as defense shells for his true form though if he does sustain damage, he can repair and heal himself. Enough to have his own limbs instantly regenerate.
Boomstick: His usual go to vessel is the one he first acquired, Sonic the Hedgehog. With Sonic as a vessel, he can do his iconic spindash and homing attack respectively. Mixed in with some sharp claws to leave a deadly sting onto his victims.
Wiz: Of course, with the way he controls the vessel, he can't exactly reach the speeds the blue blur has demonstrated but he can with the Machspeed Vessel, Peppino. With how he controls him by using his arms for the legs, he can gain much greater speed then before.
Boomstick: With both the immense Mach speed and strength of a raging Italian man, he can plow through foes and bash them into oblivion! And other vessels like Mario and Kirby, Jumpster and Blackhole, respectively are pretty self explanatory. Mario makes him jump better and Kirby gives him a black hole mouth to suck everything in.
Wiz: His Blaster Vessel allows him to attack at a distance with his Fatal Blasters, ERROGon-Crash grants him the move set of all the Porygon's he's fused with, Darkened Hare allows for much more rapid teleportation, and the Slaughtered Vessel can cause hallucinations.
Boomstick: And he can switch between them in just a few seconds. Also if a certain opponent is too slippery for him, he can summon a bunch of strings from his fingertips to hold them in place. Enough of these strings can be strong enough to hold and break apart Angel Island with ease!
Wiz: Given the size and volume of Angel Island and accounting for fragmentation of rock, this would require a force of up to 1.4 Teratons of TNT.
Boomstick: And that's just him being casual about his powers! He can basically become as strong as he wants within the Digital Realm, with enough power to infect entire desktop universes and very few beings able to stand against his power.
Wiz: Error and Prime weren't the only sentient programs within this world. Other ones such as Node, leader of the G-Virus, is also on the rise, being able to cut through code like butter, commands a vast army of G-Virus units alongside his daughter CC, and can grow to immense heights.
Boomstick: And with some strength like that, Error needed more than brawn to handle him. The code he absorbs doesn't just make him stronger, he gets smarter with each encounter he makes.
Wiz: As expected from an A.I, Fatal Error can strategize rather well in a plan, capable of executing a plan needed to win the fight.
Boomstick: If his foes are too fast for his liking, he can take up their stats and lower them down to ensure he's faster though it does take a bit for that to work. Damn how many more powers does this guy have? Surprising how he hasn't taken out the whole internet yet.
Wiz: Well Fatal Error is only one virus, making it harder for him to get code from multiple sources at once.
Boomstick: Yeah Fatal's not really one looking for friends. He's just focused on conquering the digital world and taking care of the Reality Dwellers beyond the screen.
Wiz: As Fatal Error's powers grows, it will eventually reach to a point of breaking through our reality. The only thing that's kept him held within Cyberspace was the barrier separating these realities.
Boomstick: And when he does eventually get that point, reality will be all for him to use to his twisted desires. Of course that's still taking a long time to do.
Wiz: Aside from non-canon team ups with other EXE's, Fatal Error is fully focused on his task to rule over humanity and the digital realm. While he was getting closer to that goal overtime, it would still be a long while until he got to that point.
Boomstick: The Code Puppets were mainly meant to stick with him, serving as his toys that he can send out into battle if he needs to.
Wiz: As time went on however, he got an idea to create something to further his goals and approach his ascension sooner. And in a way, something that would make him feel just a little bit more.. empathetic so to speak. It would be a little little trojan software known as Otto.
Boomstick: I can see why, cute little guy can help with gathering data from all sorts of computers. He can show up as an assistant for a while and snag some files from ya while you aren't looking. He can even clone himself through mitosis and get even more data from other computers.
Wiz: And over time, Fatal Error started experiencing something he never predicted before. Throughout his life, Fatal Error had only been by himself to gain the goal he's sought for, using his code puppets to amuse himself and corrupting worlds, seeing them as just tools for him. But Otto was something made purely by him and him alone, something that would willingly listen and do their goal. Essentially, a sort of son that he can actually care for.
Boomstick: Aww! Even a tyrannical virus like Error can find something to care for other than himself. So much so that if you even harm the little guy, he gets pissed off so much he gets into a stronger form called Critical Error!
Wiz: This form massively increases his already absurd power. Power matching and likely exceeding that of his creator, Fatal Prime.
Boomstick: And even makes him bigger than he was before! He looks like a black cactus that got possessed by an ancient demon!
Wiz: Though he can only sustain this form for a limited time and when that form runs out, he'll be extremely exhausted from the amount of power he had to use. And while he certainly is powerful, as with any virus, he is still weak against Anti-Viruses, such as DEFENDER though he is able to defeat him.
Boomstick: This deadly malware has a lot up of hacks up his glitchy sleeves to keep this guy at bay. But he's definitely glad to have some fun with it.
Feats[]
- Has fought on par with other digital beings and EXE's
- Killed Sonic and possessed his corpse
- Took many game characters as his vessels and puppets
- Contends with many digital beings
- Has killed many of Node's forces
- His power can corrupt entire desktop universes
- Gained knowledge on multiple subjects, which includes baking and strategizing
- Has fought and killed DEFENDER multiple times
Wiz: Fatal Error has fought plenty of foes in his quest for world domination. From other code beings such as Node to even his worlds version of the EXE's like Lord X.
Boomstick: Sure he didn't outright beat many of them but it still shows he can contend with them.. for a while before he gets his ass kicked by some of them.
Wiz: As Fatal Error's power continues growing, he gets ever so closer to reaching the goal he's been striving for. The goal he wants to achieve being within his grasp and the best we can do is to at least pray that day doesn't occur.
Boomstick: It's likely his little gang is only going to grow more and more overtime as he conquers even more software around him, so best pray that he's just passing by your PC if ya see him.
Wiz: If not, be prepared as a Fatal Error-
Agent Smith Shall break Free from the Matrix in Death Battle![]
(Cue Clubbed to Death)
Wiz: Imagine if everything you knew in life, wasn't real to begin with. What if the air you breathed was nothing more than binary code around you?
Boomstick: Oh boy, here comes the existential crisis talk. Give me a sec to prepare. Pssst-click!
Wiz: Of course when people find out about such information, they're bound to share it with as many people as possible. They would see the world as nothing more than a simulation, known as the Matrix. After humanity's grand evolution of technology, their advancement had allowed to make grand forms of futuristic tech, including the development of A.I, lead straight to the rise of a Second Renaissance to the Era of Machines.
Boomstick: Now that sounds awesome, but of course, things went south later on. A machine known as B1-66ER went against his master's wishes for deactivation by killing him and his own chihuahuas! And like any dog murderer, or murderer in general I guess, he was sentenced to death and rightfully scrapped!
Wiz: However, this small act defiance would lead to something far greater after such an event. Riots between humans and the machines began to increase in protest to each other's actions. It came to the point they were exiled from human society, establishing their own civilization known as 01.
Boomstick: And these bastards went to work to prove themselves, but were willing enough to make peace with them... yeah considering how we humans can be, it's not to surprising what happened next.
Wiz: The War of Machines had begun, causing humanity to fight back against the ever evolving robots that they banished. Many were captured and were experiment on as sources of power for themselves as they continued to modify their very beings until they finally overthrew humanity, nuking United Nations Headquarters and setting an eternal winter for years to come.
Boomstick: Just to keep humanity in stasis, the Machines created a program known as the Architect, which began creating a program known as the Martix! A perfect paradise for all until people rejected it because they had no choice in the matter and the thing crash.
Wiz: Ugh, so annoying when that happens. After a more nightmarish attempt of The Matrix failed, the Architect soon came upon a human intuitive program known as the Oracle, who was designed to include anthropological nature and psychology to create the framework of the subsequent Matrix, allowing humans the freedom of choice. This way, 99% of humanity would subconsciously accept this virtual world.
Boomstick: But obviously not all of them would be completely under its control. There would be a group of beings lead by an anomaly known as The One who would free humanity from the Matrix. To keep them contained, a unit of programs called Agents were set up to keep things in order.
Wiz: They're faster, stronger and more skilled than any human alive. All to keep humanity in check and ensure that they wouldn't know the truth. And none did this job any better than a certain program known as Agent Smith.
Background[]
- Name: Smith
- Age: Unknown, likely over 100 years
- Gender: Inapplicable, identified as male
- Height: 1.88 Meters (6'2)
- Species: Program (Former), Virus, Exile
- Purpose: Eliminate anyone or anything that could potentially reveal the truth of the Matrix
- Likes: Thoughts of escape, destroying humanity and the Machines
- Dislikes: Humanity, the Matrix, The Machines
(Cue Agent Smith Theme)
Boomstick: As any other Agent, Smith was tasked as the brutal police force of the Matrix, finding any one who took the Redpill to try and learn the truth and he was the best at it. Somehow being even stronger and faster than any other Agent in the business.
Wiz: Agent Smith was sent out alongside two other Agents to try and crack down the Resistance, finding their next target known as Thomas A. Anderson, under the online persona of a hacker named Neo. He was prophesized to becomes The One and undo everything the Matrix had to offer.
Boomstick: With that, he and his gang went to apprehend him before he began to see the truth of the Matrix arrive, carrying a 0.5 semi-automatic Dessert Eagle pistol.
Wiz: When Smith had captured Neo to convict him for breaking every computer law they had, Smith was shown being rather different from his fellow Agents. Showing more personality in comparison. While the Agents were indistinguishable from regular humans, all of them were seen as nothing more than serious and stoic enforces of the law while Smith was almost human in a way.
Boomstick: The guy was actually willing to let Neo free of all charges, all if he surrendered the location of the Resistance's leader, Morpheus. Though with the choice he had, he refused and ended up getting his mouth sealed shut and bug placed in! Oh god that's creepy to look at!
Wiz: As shown, Agents and Rebels by extension are much more than superhumans. They have the capability to manipulate the code around them that makes up the entire Matrix. The best way to describe it is with a spoon analogy, where you cannot bend the spoon, because bending a spoon with your mind is impossible. You need to recognize that there is in fact no spoon at all, and only then can you manipulate the digital object, and everything in the Matrix by proxy.
Boomstick: Basically, you need to see that nothing is real in the Matrix and it's basically nothing but ones and zeroes. With that, you can manipulate the world around you to do damn near anything.
Wiz: Agent Smith has also been shown to be incredibly skilled in combat, able to leap great distances in a single bound, and can take hits with no pain in his being.
Abilities[]
- Superhuman Characteristics
- Pain immunity
- Expert gunman
- Super-leaping
- Marksmanship
- Martial arts
- High intelligence
- RSI Manipulation
- Possession
- Assimilation
- Time manipulation
- Memory manipulation
- Flight
- Power absorbtion
- Precognition
- Transformation
- Mega Smith
Boomstick: Hell, he can even manipulate time itself and just stop it instantly! Even if you do somehow kill him, he can hop into other people's bodies and possess them to keep himself alive. He's pretty much unstoppable with these powers on hand. He can even order the Sentinels in the real world to get all the info he needs to put down the ever weaker flesh bags like most A.I villains.
Wiz: Of course, Smith's reasons weren't unfounded. He was uncaring to the humans of the Matrix, seeing them as nothing more than a virus that spread until every natural resource was consumed. Humans are constantly taking resources from the planet and killing off multiple other species to ensure their own survival, even with their own kind. And it seemed to be infecting him in a sort of way.
Boomstick: Yeah and he was scared from that, to the point he actually hated the Matrix for putting him in this babysitting job in the first place. He needed the mainframe codes from Zion, the last human city on Earth to finally leave the Matrix once and for all.
Wiz: But Neo and Zion operative Trinity were persistent as they continued to fight through, ending with Neo and Smith meeting for what seemed to be a final confrontation. Neo had fought valiantly but in the end, Smith played it smart and ambushed Mr. Anderson to kill him.
Boomstick: But as prophesized by The Oracle, the man Trinity was falling in love with would become The One. Thus, Neo had revived himself and jumped into Smith to put an end to him once and for all. ...Or did he!?
Wiz: As it turns out, Smith had somehow returned from his initial destruction and was freed from his restrictions as an Agent, making him and Exile and allowing him to be free. And what he lost in his possession, he gained a new ability in the form of assimilation.
Boomstick: This pretty much makes exact copies of himself to use and make a MASSIVE army of copies of himself, to ensure he lives on in a way. From programs like The Oracle herself to people not even in the Matrix anymore, to which he call an operator on speed dial to get into the real body.
Wiz: He's even gained the ability to absorb their powers into himself once they are assimilated. He gained The Oracle's precognition, allowing him to see future events and Sati's ability to control the weather.
Intermission[]
(Cue Invader)
Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set and we've run the data through all possibilities!

Connections[]
- Both are highly intelligent A.I that serve as an antagonistic force for their respective series
- Both were originally part of something far bigger (Smith as an Agent of the System/ Error originally being to be a Prime Collector for Fatal Prime) with the task of being unquestioning and obedient servants
- Eventually however, both would be free from their controllers and move onto becoming viruses (Agent Smith becoming an Exile/Fatal Error absorbing more code from Fatal Prime than she intended and becoming distorted and mutated) with the goal of becoming free from the worlds they’re confined in (Smith wanting to be free from the Matrix/Fatal wanting to escape into our reality once achieving Godhood)
- They would essentially be nigh-unkillable viruses, spreading throughout their systems and corrupting others they come across
- Both are known for being meticulous planners, using strategy to deal with their enemies, using deception in lies to either get what they want or just doing it for fun
- Both constantly go toe-to-toe with the heroes of their story, each serving a contrasting opposition with each other (The Resistance being humans that are free from the Machine's control and DEFENDER fighting off against Fatal Error)
- Both have since become very cocky and arrogant in their abilities, seeing themselves as unstoppable compared to the others
- Both are able to resemble humans (Smith generally looking like a human/Fatal having a human form that he can use)
