History[]
Ethan Winters was an American systems engineer and superhuman. One of many mutant victims of biological weaponry, Winters was infected with a virally-enhanced fungus called "Mold" during the 2017 Dulvey incident. He and his wife Mia were rescued by Blue Umbrella, but were deemed to be at risk and kept isolated in BSAA safe-houses. This protection ultimately unraveled in 2021 when the BSAA discovered that Mother Miranda had used her changeling powers to take Mia's place in the family in an attempt to abduct Rosemary to use as a vessel for reviving Miranda's dead daughter, Eva.
