History[]

Eternatus, known as the Gigantic Pokemon, fell onto Galar in a meteor 20,000 years ago. This mysterious being served as the source of the Dynamax phonemon in the Galar Region, and once, it had caused a phonomenon known as the Darkest Day. Long ago, it was sealed by Zacian and Zamazenta, and placed in a deep slumber. It only awakened because of Champion Rose, who awakened it for his own needs.

This, however, lead to it absorbing all the energy in Galar. After a fight between it and the protagonist and Hop, both of which are aided by Zacian and Zamazenta, it is caught, becoming a member of the protagonist's team until they decide to release it.

Moves[]

Eternatus[]

Dynamax Cannon: Eternatus's signature move. It is a damage-dealing Dragon-type move in which Eternatus unleashes a strong beam of energy from its person. This move deals twice the damage it normally does if the target is Dynamaxed or Gigantamaxed.

Poison Tail: A damage-dealing Poison-type move in which the user swings their tail at their opponent, infusing it with poisonous energy for the attack. It has a chance of poisoning the target.

Dragon Tail: A damage-dealing Dragon-type move in which the user swings their tail at their opponent, hitting them with draconic energy. If there are multiple opponents, the target will be switched out for a still active opponent.

Agility: A non-damaging Psychic-type move in which the user increases their speed by two stages, leaping from position to positon and sometimes seemingly vanishing.

Toxic: A non-damaging Poison-type move in which the user leaves the target badly poisoned. The poison gives off worse damage with every turn until it goes away.

Confuse Ray: A non-damaging Ghost-type move in which the user releases a beam of sinister energy at the opponent, causing them to become confused.

Cosmic Power: A non-damaging Psychic-type move in which the user absorbs mystical power from space in order to raise their defensive capabilities.

Flamethrower: A damage-dealing Fire-type move in which the user blasts the foe with a beam of fire. It would most likely leave the target with a burn.

Cross Poison: A damage-dealing Poison-type move in which the user slashes the target with poisonous blades that would likely leave them with poison. Critical hits land more easily.

Dragon Dance: A non-damaging Dragon-type move in which the user does a mystical dance, raising their offensive capabilities and speed.

Dragon Pulse: A damage-dealing Dragon-type move in which the user fires a dragon-shaped beam of multicolored energy at the opponent. It can hit non-adjacent opponents in triple battles.

Recover: A non-damaging Normal-type move in which the user takes time to recover, restoring cells and replinishes their vitality by half of its maximum capacity.

Hyper Beam: A damage-dealing Normal-type move in which the opponent is struck with a powerful beam. They may be unable to move the next turn.

Eternamax Eternatus[]

Max Moves: Despite not being a Dynamax form, Eternamax Eternatus is able to use Max Moves, boosted versions of damage-dealing moves with effects that correspond to their respective types for five turns. Max Flare creates harsh sunlight, Max Ooze raises the party's attack, and Max Wyrmwind lowers the opponent's stats. These are but a few examples of Max Moves.

Eternabeam: Eternatus's other signature move. It is used when it is in its Eternamax form, in which it unleashes a powerful beam of energy. It is Eternatus's most powerful attack, and the opponent might not be able to leave for the next turn. If used when Eternatus is at its base, it which briefly morph into its Eternamax form to perform the move.
