Inazuma Eleven vs My Hero Academia! The courage to stand up to new challenges, overcome them and face even bigger challenges only to defy the odds and surpass them sits strong within the hearts of two kids ready to take on anything and get better while doing it. However, only one of these two have grown enough to beat their new challenge, while the other will face the permanent end to their journey.

Introduction[]

Maverick: You know what I hate? Being pushed around like I'm a worthless nobody and having this be a huge setback in me following one of my goals. I'll never forgive those bullies from school for keeping me shut in a locker for an entire week.

Silver: Maverick, we're Reploids, we didn't go to school. But you raise a good subject from that. While it can be hard following your dreams for being pushed around so often or for being different to say, eighty percent of the world's population, these two combatants have pushed past their difficulties to get to the heights of which they are at now.

Endou interlude

Endou Mamoru, the shot stopping goalkeeper of Inazuma Japan!

Midoriya interlude (Maverick)

And Izuku Midoriya, the rising hero of My Hero Academia!

Maverick: He's Silver and I'm Maverick.

Silver: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armour and skills to see who would win a Death Battle.

Endou Mamoru[]

Silver: Growing up, the sport of soccer was a large presence in the life of young school kid Endou Mamoru. While he never followed any major world leagues or competitions in the sport, Endou enjoyed devoting his spare time to training and playing as a goalkeeper, while also being the captain of his school's soccer club.

Maverick: All of this love for a stupid game where you kick a ball into a net for ninety minutes came from his grandfather, the late Endou Daisuke, who was the goalkeeper for the legendary Inazuma Eleven shortly before a sabotaged bus crash that put the Inazuma Eleven into retirement and turned them away from soccer as a whole. Alright, so he wasn't as much as "late" as he was "missing", but the point is that his fame with the Eleven was a huge inspiration for Endou growing up.

Silver: So much so, in fact, that Endou often trained certain techniques which his grandfather used, with the blueprints happily noted down inside Daisuke's old notebook. Endou's dream was to be much like his grandfather, and the soul of that dream was used in starting his school's soccer club. Unfortunately for Endou, his team wasn't exactly great.

Maverick: Not only were the players absolutely godawful, but his team was under the minimum amount of players to fit into the first team, let alone the substitutes on the bench. This problem was a glaring flaw that the daughter of the chairman, the ever so cute Natsumi Raimon, tried to get the team shut down.

Silver: While Endou and his team tried and succeeded in getting the right amount of players, things got made even tougher by the fact that the infamous Teikoku Gakuen, a school known for permitting the destruction of other schools by beating their soccer teams with Teikoku's own, wanted a friendly match with Raimon's eleven. It wasn't so much a "friendly" as it was a group of kids not aiming for the goal, but aiming to break Endou's ribs by battering the ball into him so many times.

Pop-Up: For the sake of simplicity, the names of the schools will be using the English dub names. Teikoku Gakuen is known as Royal Academy in the English dub.

Maverick: Basically they were getting hammered more than Southampton against Leicester City and Manchester United, little English soccer joke for y'all there. However, unlike Southampton against those two teams, Raimon's eleven actually managed to get a goal past the team with the help of a new student by the name of Gouenji Shuuya, and with the Raimon eleven established, Endou tried getting the team entered in the famed "Football Frontier" tournament.

Silver: Despite the beating from Royal Academy, Endou's spirit was not broken, and with his team he entered the Football Frontier, but there was a big problem in the way of Raimon defying the odds stacked against them, Reiji Kageyama. Kageyama just so happened to be the one that sabotaged the team bus of the Inazuma Eleven out of spite for his father, a great striker for his time, being easily beaten by Endou's grandfather, and not only did he try ruining the sport by straight up playing dirty, he also... well...

Maverick: Tried drugging up a school worth of kids to make them powerful, TWICE by the way, and trying to outright kill the Raimon eleven by crushing them in a Royal Academy stadium DELIBERATELY tampered with. Yeah, long story short this dude is a major psychopath, but Endou was determined to fight through it all, no matter what.

Silver: And along the way, Endou would boost up his team's numbers and try and learn all new techniques in order to win the Football Frontier. Then after that, stop aliens who weren't actually aliens. Then third, winning an international tournament with a completely different team of players, collectively known as Raimon Japan. Also something related to time travelling ogres from the future that interrupt a part of the timeline. Yeah, believe me this gets more weirder.

Pop-Up: The Ogre movie and it's counterpart, a separate version of Inazuma Eleven 3, is debatably canon, so as such it'll be excluded from the analysis for Endou Mamoru.

Maverick: But of course, this is a Death Battle, no mere game of soccer, and it turns out that some of Endou's abilities could work out for a fight, let alone being a goalkeeper. These techniques are called "Hissatsu", and to be honest with you here, they are sort of like Stands for Endou. Only difference is that he can have multiple different Hissatsu with their own unique skills.

Silver: Such as the God Hand, which is a giant hand designed to stop an all powerful shot in its grasp. This ability is very effective as a means of permanently halting the ball in its own path. To enhance its strength, all Endou has to do is use two hands instead of one, similar to Gray's ice magic in Fairy Tail compared to Lyon, in a sense. Alongside that, Endou has the great Majin the Hand, which also catches the ball with a powerful push forward of its hand. Endou uses his left hand to pull this off, and Majin the Hand gets its power from Endou's heart.

Maverick: Ooooh, it's like Star Platinum. See what I meant by "it's like a Stand"?

Pop-Up: They are not exactly like Stands, as they can be interacted with normally and are not drawn from the soul, nor are they invisible to non-Hissatsu users.

Silver: Not really, as it is only designed to do one thing, and that's not punching the ever living crap out of things. What is that though is the Nekketsu Punch technique, which Endou used specifically in the anime adaptation. As we are using the anime and the original games, this is an ability Endou is allowed to use.

Maverick: Yeah, Endou himself punches the ball if something like God Hand or Majin the Hand is too slow to catch the ball in its grasp. Endou hasn't just used this ability solely for football though, as he has used it in other ways to help people.

Silver: Even as a goalkeeper though, Endou is just as capable of pulling off crazy kicks of the soccer ball, such as Shishido Sakichi's Grenade Shot move, which is another ability Endou can utilize for himself in the game and manga. Going back to goalkeeper moves though, Endou can use the Fist of Justice, a catch based punch. Essentially God "Fist" rather than God "Hand".

Maverick: The Earth is an all powerful shot which requires the hearts of the entire team to be unified in order to use, but seeing as that's obviously outside help, that's not allowed here. What is definitely allowed is Endou's Hammer of Fury, or rather its replacement and upgraded counterpart, Dimensional Hand, a catch move that hammers the ball straight into the ground! No, it doesn't rip dimensional rifts or anything, but if it fails to catch the ball it'll more than certainly deflect it!

Silver: But that's nothing compared to the power of the God Catch, Endou's ultimate stopping move, which is a heavily evolved version of Majin the Hand that is nigh-impossible to get past! And that's not even the half of it, thanks to Inazuma Eleven Strikers, which shows Endou using some different techniques like Omega the Hand from the third game's Ogre version.

Pop-Up: There are also further versions of these goalkeeper skills, such as Majin the Great and God Hand V, vastly stronger than the ones from before!

Maverick: Wait, different versions. What do they think the series is, fucking Pokemon!?

Silver: Omega the Hand is basically an all powerful God Hand upgrade, incredibly powerful and nearly impossible to get past. But don't mistake Endou for being solely a goalkeeper, as he also has other techniques besides the shoot one we previously mentioned. The problem is that a vast majority of these shoot Hissatsu techniques require another player, as they are combination techniques, however, there are a few Endou can pull off, such as the Megaton Head.

Maverick: Yeah, where Endou heads the ball, but a God Hand kind of fist pops out and punches it alongside Endou's head, it's really something. He even has a buffed up version called the Gigaton Head as well.

Silver: Which only adult Endou can pull off, rather than the younger Endou. We are only using the Endou Mamoru from the original Inazuma Eleven and nothing from Inazuma Eleven GO!, given that the "aspiring to greater things" similarity that makes up the whole idea is snatched away due to Endou being an adult that has already reached his goal. This is Endou Mamoru against Izuku Midoriya, not Mastukaze Tenma vs Izuku Midoriya.

Maverick: A damn shame, but don't look at young Endou as an inferior counterpart, because this hot shot goalkeeper is actually a very powerful one at that. For example, Endou is capable of saving shots from the likes of Afuro Terumi, or Zeus Jr. High's very own Aphrodi, who was capable of pulling off a shot worth over 66,7 kilotons of TNT from leaving the massive crater on the field.

Silver: And it should be noted that this is earlier in the series. While there's no feats eclipsing that, it is known that the players do get stronger as the series progresses, meaning that they should be capable of shooting just as hard as that, if not even more, though specifically how much more is still relatively uncertain outside of going past Inazuma Eleven GO!

Maverick: Like this feat that in our previous analysis of Endou. However it's really an assumption to assume an adult Endou would be capable of tanking this shot, and on top of that it's adult Endou from GO! We're uh... not using that.

Pop-Up: It's even debatable as to whether Endou actually played against Hakuryuu in the first place, as the only instance of Hakuryuu facing off against a team with Endou in the line-up was in a crossover with Danball Senki W, which is non-canon and has the team Endou was playing in disappear early on in the game.

Silver: What we can use for Endou's speed is the fact that he can somewhat keep up with someone as fast as Kazemaru, who's reactionary times are great enough that he can avoid Touko's "The Tower", a block Hissatsu that shoots out bolts of lightning! On top of his extraordinary feats and comparability to his teammates, Endou is also a pretty good fighter mentally, able to pick himself up and spur himself on even after getting horribly beaten by the "aliens" of Aliea Academy and Zeus Jr/ High in the Football Frontier Final. He'll also never give up no matter what happens, all for his love for soccer.

Maverick: Certainly won't like what's going on in Qatar with the 2022 World Cup then.

Silver: Let's... try and leave that out of this please. Anyway, Endou's flaws do bring him down though. For starters the scaling to Kazemaru isn't all that it sounds like at first hearing. It's established that Kazemaru is the fastest member of the team, so he's not as fast as Kazemaru, and it should again be noted that these are only reactionary times.

Maverick: Endou is also just a kid, despite the fact he can hold his own against those kinds of strikes they do take a lot of energy out of him and sometimes even injure him as well. And even when injured, Endou has no qualms about jumping in the way of a shot even if it risks causing him more physical harm. Maybe he should've taken up boxing if he's got endurance like that, just imagine all the damage that Majin dude can do to someone like Conor McGregor.

Silver: Lemme just hold you right there Maverick, Endou has very rarely, if ever, used his Hissatsu and soccer techniques in a physical fight before. In fact, bringing him into Death Battle was a pretty big challenge for us, until we figured a way around that in the battle itself. Despite his setbacks, in canon and in a vs debate, Endou Mamoru has been through a lot in his time as a goalkeeper and even a defender for the Raimon Eleven, but nothing has put him down. And not too long into the future, Endou actually settled down with Natsumi, and became a mentor and key figure in the life of the new hero of the story, Mastukaze Tenma.

Maverick: So you mean the cutie is already taken? Aww... really?

Silver: 'Sigh', she's like, fourteen years old Maverick. That's a bit creepy.

Maverick: Dude, we were only created like, thirteen years ago like most of the other Reploids were in our timeline.

Silver: 'Sigh', the conversations I have with you while doing this job... anyway, back on topic for the last moment, the fact that Endou is even considered a figure to look up to by anyone of the new generation is a testament to the impact he left, not just as a goalkeeper for Raimon's team, but as a goalkeeper for the legendary team of the Inazuma Japan! Really, you could say that Endou Mamoru did indeed live up to the name of his grandfather after all

Izuku Midoriya[]

Silver: In a world where eighty percent of the world's population has a superpower known as a "Quirk", you'd be hard pressed to find one of the twenty percent out there that were unfortunate enough to have not grown a Quirk in their lifetime. As was the case for young Izuku Midoriya.

Maverick: Growing up, Izuku admired his friend Katsuki Bakugou, and hung out with the kid with the explosive Quirk wishing to have a Quirk like him someday. This very same Midoriya also admired heroes, people who had used their Quirks for good deeds across the world to counter the people who used their Quirks for nefarious purposes. Chief among them was All Might, who was more of a father figure than Midoriya's own father, who learned from Jotaro's daddy and rarely ever saw his son.

Silver: With encouragement from his mother, Inko, Izuku aspired to be a hero just like All Might someday, but unfortunately for him life wasn't always kind to the people that had them.

Maverick: Basically a trip to the doctor when Izuku's Quirk was supposedly supposed to come in informed the Midoriya duo that Izuku here wasn't one of the eighty percent who had a power, deeming Izuku to essentially be Quirkless for his entire life. Growing up, his dreams shattered but still admiring the superheroes of the world, Izuku became somewhat of a wimp that Bakugou like to fuck around with. Oh boy, the shippers are going to take that out of context.

Silver; Don't get me started on that. Anyway, yeah, Bakugou in his teenage years became an cocky moron who picked on Izuku, and upon the knowledge that, like himself, Izuku was trying to apply for the famous U.A High School, which trained the next generation of heroes, Bakugou took his anger out on Izuku by telling him that Quirkless individuals would get nowhere in heroics.

Maverick: Clearly has never heard of someone by the name of Batman then!

Silver: However, Izuku was still, despite his dreams being shattered, attempting to pursue his ultimate goal in life, and this would only be helped by a chance encounter with none other than All Might himself, the hero saving the boy from an escaped villain from earlier in the day. By landing on a rooftop after literally holding to All Might's leg as he took off, Izuku was told by All Might of both his...

Maverick: His skeleton body secret and the fact that Izuku could still not be a hero. Yeah, what a supposed great hero, am I right? Well, it turns out that the villain that attacked Izuku escaped from All Might AGAIN when Midoriya was basically being a clingy baby, and when Bakugou was the unlucky victim captured by the monster this time around, Izuku did the stupedest thing a powerless nobody could do. That's right, engage the bastard in combat!

Silver: Despite getting a heavy scolding from the pro heroes for even daring to endanger his life like that, All Might was actually at the scene of the attack himself, and seeing as he barely had much time left before his powers gave way he decided that Izuku could be a hero, the next person to inherit the Quirk known as One for All!

Maverick: But what is One for All, you might be asking from behind the screen. Well, One for All is a Quirk that was created when the big bad known as All for One who had the power of stealing Quirks from others tried forcing a Quirk on to his younger brother, who didn't have a Quirk. But he actually did, right, and forcing that Quirk on to his brother who already had a Quirk which allowed him to pass his Quirk on created One for All, which eventually became All for One's... uh, "anti-Quirk" if you will.

Silver: All Might is one of the many inheritors of this power, and it just so happened that Izuku was next thanks to his courage and bravery from before. With One for All, Izuku became much stronger and faster, and ended up becoming an incredibly powerful superhero in his own right.

Pop-Up: First Izuku had to go through several months of physical Quirkless training and the passing of All Might's DNA (his hair, in this case) in order to have it passed on. From then on out, it was training to control the Quirk and stop it from destroying his bones after single uses.

Maverick: Like All Might himself, Izuku has various different attacks named after American states and cities. Each one is a different form of physical attack in the form of punches and kicks. These babies are effectively his "Super Moves", and their incredibly powerful. The Delaware Smash, for example, is a move where Izuku flicks his fingers to fire very powerful gusts of wind that are sure to knock you off your feet. That goes nicely with the fact he can launch himself with them too.

Silver: The Manchester Smash is another Smash move, this time an axle kick that Deku performs by front flipping in the air and bring his iron soled boots down on an opponent.

Maverick: Holy shit, that's gotta be a fucking painful attack! Imagine iron slamming on your head at like, several hundred miles per hour!

Silver: Even a villain like Overhaul struggled to use his Quirk against this particular Smash, meaning that the Manchester Smash is definitely not something you'd want to be on the receiving end of. Speaking of kicks, the St. Louis Smash is a boosted roundhouse kick capable of knocking villains out with an all powerful attack.

Pop-Up: This is part of Midoriya's Shoot Style. Inspired by Tenya Iida's fighting style, Shoot Style is utilized to avoid Izuku destroying his arms in combat.

Maverick: But best of all is Izuku's famed Detroit Smash, which is a move that is nothing more than a ridiculously powerful punch that turns the person on the receiving end into a run down mess. Hey, much like Detroit itself, am I right?

Silver: No. Anyway, moving on, originally Deku always used his superpowers to their full capacity, having not been taught to control the power of One for All. However, thanks to some helpful training with All Might's own mentor, Gran Torino, Deku learned how the power could be handled in something called "Full Cowling", which helpfully stops Izuku from breaking himself and his bones, as per the norm with him.

Maverick: Yeah, originally he could only go five percent, then that got bumped up to eight. Now it's twenty, and boy is twenty percent alone incredibly powerful. He also becomes more agile as a result, able to jump between walls like he's Mega Man X. Maybe because that was the game that inspired the move's use in the series. Pretty neat, huh?

Silver: Yep, it certainly is. Full Cowling isn't just limited to twenty though, as it can go higher, and with it he can also use it up to... know what, we'll save the absolute best until last, what do you say.?

Maverick: Well I say that's fine, because along with One for All's massive strength, speed and stamina upgrade comes a whole host of powers from past users, including All Might's predecessor's levitation Quirk, Float. Alright, so granted he's only been shown to use that and another one, but that other one happens to be called the Blackwhip. Wouldn't mind Midnight gi-

Silver: Spoiler for the manga here Maverick, but Midnight's kind of... dead.

Maverick:...oh.

Silver: 'Ahem', yeah about the Blackwhip, it's a Quirk coming from one of the past inheritors of One for All, Daigoro Banjo, and Blackwhip is essentially what the name sounds like. To elaborate on the ability, they are black energy tendrils that the user can produce from any part of their body. Imagine them sort of like Venom and Carnage's tendrils in a way, but add on to that being powered by emotions, particularly anger.

Maverick: Like Izuku to Shigaraki? Yeah, I know about that. Isn't it also very hard to control should the user not be in control of their emotions, and even numb Izuku's arms should he use it far too much at a far too high rate?

Silver: Exactly that, Maverick, but Deku can actually use it as if they were Spider-Man's webs and swing from building to building, though he doesn't use this all the time in that manner. See, it does kind of ties into the Venom and Carnage comparison from earlier. Blackwhip can also easily hold up cars and buses and the like, and Deku can even shoot them out of his mouth in a way inspired by Froppy's own technique.

Maverick: What is it with cuties in anime?

Silver: I'm not even gonna go there again, and instead I'll cut away to explaining Deku's full potential when using Full Cowling. I'm talking about Full Cowling 100%, specifically using the numerical version of a hundred and the sign meaning "percent".

Maverick: Nerd!

Silver: Full Cowling at one hundred percent is ridiculous, though it does require the help of that adorable little girl known as Eri to pull off... is what I would be saying, if Midoriya in the My Hero Academia movie, Heroes Rising, didn't use it perfectly fine on his lonesome then!

Pop-Up: Heroes Rising is in fact canon to My Hero Academia, as its story and direction was supervised by Horikoshi himself. Despite claims from Funimation that it was in fact not canon to the manga storyline, this is countered by the fact that companies such as them do not determine such details, nor do the anime or manga differ too much in terms of story arcs. Determining the film as non-canon is purely an assumption.

Maverick: Full Cowling 100% is basically a massive supercharged boost to Izuku's body, and allows him to replicate a form of flight. Overall its busted to hell, that's all.

Silver: About as busted as Izuku himself. Not only is he a more than capable hero, he's got the speed and strength feats to back that potential of his up. First of all, he's able to compete with characters such as Denki Kaminari at one hundred percent Full Cowling, as seen in My Hero Academia: One's Justice 2. Denki's powers are electrical based, meaning at a minimum he's faster than Mach 11. But that's merely child's play.

Maverick: Yeah, simply because of the fact that a peak Midoriya should definitely be very similar to All Might in terms of speed and strength. Take for example the one time All Might was able to jump from the Might Tower to the Tokyo Sky Egg at speeds of Mach 26! That's incredible.

Silver: Not as incredible as a feat that, alongside Katsuki Bakugou with his own temporary One for All Quirk, Deku managed to pull off in My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising. This was a feat in which Midoriya and Bakugou dispersed a large storm that the island they were on was covered by. Pulling off a feat like this would require around 876 tons of TNT, or halved to give both Izuku and Bakugou their own share, 438 tons of TNT.

Pop-Up: A feat determined in Johnny Joestar vs Izuku Midoriya by The Irish VS Writer.

Maverick: Sweet, that's a full power Deku!? Awesome. It's a shame that Izuku Midoriya is still just a teenage kid though, as he has a ton of flaws that still need ironing out and fixed. Such as the fact that even with Full Cowling there's still the off chance where Deku will go all out without checking first. Sometimes when he goes all out without thinking first he pulls off a one million percent smash that is merely an exaggeration of the ability itself. As Horikoshi himself stated, it's like the strength people somehow manage to find whilst in a crisis.

Silver: On top of that the Shoot Style based on Iida's fighting style isn't always suited for all out brawls that mainly require the use of fists. Great for a slower kind of style but ineffective against a fast puncher that can move between points in instants.

Maverick: Deku also lacks a whole lot of hero experience and fighting experience, which does come at a massive cost for him against a professional villain or hero, though he has handled himself before against those types of people, such as Shigaraki when he used Blackwhip.

Silver: Despite his many flaws and setbacks, alongside all the troubles he's faced along the way, Izuku Midoriya was chosen as All Might's successor to One for All for a very good reason. Izuku has courage, skill and wit, backed up by incredible power, speed and a sense of justice.

Maverick: With all of those skills and more, I guess it seems very fitting that Izuku Midoriya is one of the many superheroes of the next generation of, well, superheroes, what else?

"I have to work harder than anyone else to make it! I'll never catch up otherwise...! I want to be like you...! Like you. The strongest hero."

Death Battle[]

Silver: Alright, the combatants are set, and we've... you know what, you all know the drill by now.

Maverick: It's time for a Death Battle!

Dark gray clouds during what was supposed to be a perfectly fine and hot summer's month were an adverse change for such a small Japanese town such as this one, with the sun that usually scorched down on the planet being disguised by several clouds of a dark nature. While one might expect this to be a thunderstorm, the truth was that it was not, and were only there as a sign of a disaster that had occurred not too long ago. A disaster of which Izuku Midoriya and Shoto Todoroki, heroes-in-training at the prestigious U.A High School that trained the next generation of heroes, were in town to find out.

Not too long ago, reports reached U.A that supposed aliens had attacked and destroyed several junior highs across the country, with the most recent target being the Raimon Jr. High, who's soccer team had only just returned from winning a big tournament to see their school destroyed and crashed to the ground. As it was the most recent report at the time, Aizawa, the teacher of Class 1-A which Todoroki and Midoriya were a part of and also the pro hero Erazerhead, managed to organize what he called a "school trip" to the school to see if they could catch the aliens before they made their escape.

Split up into their duo, much like the rest of the class were as they scattered over the town to find anything or anyone that might clue them in or alert them, Todoroki and Midoriya wandered on the bridge that led to the school itself, but coincidentally hovered over a soccer pitch, and the duo looked down to see the field empty... bar two players. One of them was a kid with blonde hair, kitted out in a gray and white costume. The other, supposedly the goalkeeper, was wearing an orange headband over his brown hair, and was kitted out in a blue and orange goalkeeper outfit with white gloves. "Todoroki, do you think that's..." Midoriya asked his teammate, who immediately nodded his head. "That black soccer ball is the one Aizawa told us about." he replied to confirm, by pointing out such a key piece of evidence.

"Then quick, we need to warn..." Izuku exclaimed as he rushed to go and find another group from their class, only to be stopped by the sight of Todoroki jumping off from the bridge itself, armed with a shard of ice. "No time Midoriya! Let's go!" the son of Endeavour shouted as he fell to the grounds below his feet, with Midoriya turning to try and stop him.

However, Midoriya then had an idea, and like Todoroki's it was to get the attention of their teammates by causing a hassle with those aliens they had stumbled upon, which should be more than enough to alert some of their classmates or even Aizawa if he was around. Thus he used Full Cowling to help with the high heights, and ran off the bridge himself. Todoroki and Midoriya both landed upon the ground and rushed forwards, the fall not doing much to halt them, with Todoroki and Midoriya engaging the alien midfielder and the alien goalkeeper by tackling them to the ground.

"W-What in the hell do you think you're doing!?" said the alien midfielder, with him suddenly using his hand to roll the black soccer ball towards his feet in order to kick it straight at Todoroki's torso. "GAIA... BREAK!!!" he exclaimed, as his shot was so powerful the ground around him began tearing up and exploding, the impact on Todoroki's torso doing him incredible harm as he was thrown away. The alien midfielder was one of Aliea Academy's players, one of the aliens that had just destroyed the Raimon school from the news, and Todoroki, recovering to his feet like his adversary did, was about to subdue them and stop their ways.

On the other end, the "alien" goalkeeper was in fact Endou Mamoru, of the Raimon soccer team. Unfortunately the black football and the interactions with the alien player told Midoriya otherwise, as he pounced at Endou with incredible for, Full Cowling making the energy surge through his body. "I don't even think I can use this to defend myself, but I'll give it a try!" Endou told himself, hoping his goalkeeper tactics would be a great defence. Midoriya yelled "DETROIT... SMASH!!!" as he threw his fist forward with a powerful gust of wind behind it, picking up massive amounts of dirt from the ground and throwing that towards Endou too. In response, energy emerged from the hands of the goalie, "GOD HAND!!!" being the thing he yelled as a giant hand of energy formed and shot forward, pushing against Midoriya's fist and sending him flying backwards, rolling across the ground.

The U.A student picked himself up and dusted off, as Endou was quick to defend himself. "I've already told you, I'm NOT one of the aliens!" he yelled back, with Midoriya charged with Full Cowling again. "A likely story! If you weren't one of them then you'd have no reason to be interacting with them, especially when they have been reported to leave the schools behind!" Midoriya retorted, with Endou fighting back. "That's not true!" he hissed back, but Midoriya wasn't having any of it despite how truthful Endou's defence was. While Reize, the alien, engaged in a soccer vs elements battle with Todoroki somewhere off in the distance, Midoriya was left with Endou, and charged towards him as if he was a bull seeing red. "I never thought I'd have to rely on my goalie skills to defend myself..." Endou thought to himself, "...but it works, and it's the only way to knock some sense into him, and I have to defend myself somehow."

"I'm sorry I have to do this over a misunderstanding, but I'm left with no other way because you won't listen. Majin the HAND!!!" Endou declared, twisting his body around and turning back to release Majin the Hand upon Izuku's Detroit Smash, the two fists colliding with such an incredible force behind both punches. It was clear that only one was walking away from this battle, be it dead or alive.

FIGHT!!!

The duo split, with Midoriya and Endou's fist battle having no victor. Midoriya rushed forwards with Full Cowling and pulled off his Delaware Smash, shouting the move's name as he did so. The strong gust of wind that his index finger shot forward caught Endou off guard, as he was expecting a punch or something physical rather than a flick of the finger, but thankfully his reactions were quick enough that God Hand came in to push the air forces back with relative ease. Midoriya was a crafty enemy though, and all of the dirt and dust picked up from the ground due to the Delaware Smash blinded the soccer fanatic, allowing Izuku to dash through.

Taking to the air, Midoriya used the St. Louis Smash to try and deliver a painful roundhouse kick to the blinded footballer, but Endou could see through the dust that a sharp blue energy was soaring towards him, and immediately Endou released "Majin the Hand!!!" again, shouting the ability much like what Izuku did with his super move. Izuku was certainly not expecting this to occur, and the giant Majin that had towered among even those who claimed they were gods forced a hand forwards and blasted Izuku back by attacking his kicking leg. Midoriya fell to the floor, rolling on his side as he fell. He steadily picked himself up again, but Endou was actually rushing him this time around.

The soccer player ran as fast as his legs could carry him, and Izuku noted this attack as a possible chance to use his Detroit Smash close up. Shouting the move as he powered it up, like any typical anime protagonist does, Izuku threw his fist at incredible speeds at the first possibility, however Endou was actually countering with one of his own moves, "Fist of Justice!" he shouted as loud as he could, a massive fist aiming for his face and connecting with it, rendering the attempt at using the Detroit Smash irrelevant. Izuku was launched backwards at incredible speeds, slamming his spine right on the top of the crossbar of the goal on the other end. Thankfully it didn't do something like snap him in half, but it came mightily close to doing so.

Izuku landed on his knees, as Endou kept running for him again, once more using Fist of Justice to try and land a powerful blow from a fair distance back, but this time around Midoriya got up and sprinted forward, yelling "Manchester Smash!!!" as he did an axe kick that, while missing the fist that flew under him due to Midoriya's incredible height, instead fired an all powerful blast of air above Endou, leaving a massive crater that launched Endou into the air like a ragdoll while Midoriya was also catapulted, only even higher than he already was. "Let's see if the alien can handle another St. Louis Smash!" Midoriya said to himself, delivering an iron booted roundhouse kick directly into the face of Endou, flicking the kid's head back with the force.

However, Endou pushed his head forwards, as if to fight back, and delivered a barrage of fists to Midoriya's lower body like it was a soccer ball he was trying to deflect. Of course, this was the Nekketsu Punch, a flaming barrage of punches that once Endou had finished his assault, threw Midoriya backwards rather than the forwards way he was going. Endou risked a lone harsh landing on his back to pull off such an attack, but if this was to protect his name and love for his sport, then you could more than certainly tell he was going to get back up in a brief moment. Izuku on the other hand crashed on his on back some several tens of meters away from where his counterpart had landed, but from a much higher height. Thus the impact was much more painful, even knocking Full Cowling out of the kid.

Midoriya was far more durable than a regular kid though, all the experience from bust open bones and injuries helping him build quite a solid pain resistance, and his adrenaline to finish this fight only numbed the pain even more than it already was. Midoriya was no pushover, but neither was Endou, and as the two got to their feet and recovered their breaths, they immediately locked eyes again, another attack from both on the way.

For one of his very few times using the skills of his to fight back against something, Endou believed he was doing great. If soccer wasn't his thing, maybe the boxing club could've been next up. Izuku also admired the abilities of Endou, saying to himself in his head "Even if he's my enemy, I've got to admit his Quirk is extraordinary. Nothing I can't handle though."

From this, Deku sprinted with even more of a percentage to his Full Cowling than before, but this time most of the energy he could safely use was focused in his arms and fists, which ensured he wouldn't be suffering from full power induced broken bones. Endou prepared for an upcoming attack, as Midoriya shouted "Detroit Smash!!!" revealing his move again. Endou slammed his right fist down into the palm of his left hand as Midoriya came surging forwards, a yellow energy fist emerging from Endou. Immediately taking note of Endou's actions and what his Hissatsu was all about, Deku tried to keep himself at a distance, switching to focusing eight percent of power into his fingers. "Or how about Delaware Smash instead!" the green haired hero yelled, only to find out that his own air pressure was countered by the air pressure Endou's "Hammer of Fury!" emitted from slamming the ground with such force. The wind was all pushed into Midoriya's direction, with Deku being given a taste of his own medicine, thrown to the ground by a powerful attack like that.

"Bingo, I got him!" Endou cheered, expecting Midoriya to come surging back through the dirt and dust like he did previously. However, Izuku, while using the dirt like Endou thought he would, instead tapped into his inner Solid Snake, and all Mamoru heard from behind was "TEXAS SMASH!!!" as he turned to get a face full of pressurized wind throwing him backwards. Midoriya smirked as he landed on his own two feet, remembering how he pulled such a powerful attack on Shigaraki. It wasn't as powerful as he would've liked, or as powerful as it was then, as he was holding back on his power here, but he knew Endou wasn't going to stay down for long.

More power would be a big help, and Midoriya had to use it safely, so Full Cowling was boosted so that Midoriya could hopefully show that "alien" what he was truly capable of, but all of his standing around to control his power gave a kneeling Endou an opening to take advantage of.

Fist of Justice!" Endou announced, sending his fist forward to send out the fist made of energy from before. Midoriya was thankfully smart enough to know what was coming up for him, diving out of the way to let the Hissatsu technique miss him completely, to Endou's disappointment. "Hopefully that's the last of his abilities, he's returning to the ones he's used before." Midoriya stated, only for Endou to hear him and respond with "You really think so!? How about you try and..." only for Midoriya to blitz him with another "St. Louis Smash!!!", the roundhouse kick from the boot actually making a solid enough contact this time around to sent Endou flying, blood gushing from his nose as he landed, sliding on his back.

The gravel hurt Endou, and the increased power certainly made sure that the impact was worse. However, he was never one to give up, and when Midoriya came blasting with a Detroit Smash in the waiting, Endou unleashed Majin the Hand again, possibly for the last time as Majin's hand slammed into Deku's fist. If it was a regular fist, then you wouldn't think much of what he then did. However, for Izuku to shatter a hand the size of Majin's, you would certainly know how hard he was trying this time. The shattered technique opened Endou's defence, who tried to block by shielding his face with his wrists only for Izuku to charge through that too. The attack connecting with his face sent Endou far off again, but this time Deku wasn't letting him go easy.

Out came Blackwhip, which grappled around Endou's ankle and chucked him backwards, where he slammed into the bridge's pillar. The pillar cracked severely, but not enough to collapse it, as Blackwhip pulled Endou back and catapulted him into the goalpost at the far end of the field. Deku jumped after the flying Endou, and when he was pushed forward by the impact from the post, Deku used the air pressure to slow down, giving Endou a taste of the Delaware Smash up close. The giant blast of air not only threw lots of gravel and dust up, but ripped the goals from the ground and taking Endou with it!

The distances Endou went were incredible, but even after an almighty painful landing on the solid ground, Endou still pushed himself back up. It was next to impossible for Izuku to do anything to someone as resilient as him, but now was the time for him to push further beyond and break such a good defensive ability. Endou cleaned his nose with the arm of his goalkeeping shirt, prepared for Izuku to go 100% Full Cowling. Clearly Deku had had enough, and he was desperate to finish this and incapacitate the "alien" to alert the other students and Aizawa with a loud enough finish. At 100% Full Cowling, Deku was dangerous, but Endou was just as powerful. Or at least, he hoped.

Midoriya was going all out with an all powerful "WYOMING SMASH!!!" from above Endou, but the kid looked up and reacted in time. "Not now, not here! This is for trying to assume I would hurt the game of soccer!!!" Endou roared, as his ultimate Hissatsu came into play for the final struggle. "OMEGA THE HAND!!!" he again declared aloud, with the spike from above colliding with the giant golden fist in a large blast of cyan and gold energy. The ground around Endou cracked and burst, leaving a massive crater below him, while Izuku's arm was starting to fracture, and then break. The bones tried handling all of the power behind it, Deku could feel like he was going to yell out a million percent like he had done in the past. The struggle was great, the power emitted from both was extraordinary, but there would only be one winner...

Endou's Omega the Hand was cracking the once thought to be unbreakable Deku's arm, and even with his pain tolerance the shock from Endou's superior power shook the adrenaline out of Midoriya's body, thus increasing the pain he could feel. Omega the Hand was unbreakable to the young hero, and the massive blast of energy that engulfed the duo once their struggle was over was an incredible sight to behold...

It took a while for the dust to die down, but once it did Endou saw that he was all alone with Deku nowhere in sight. Spotting the black football of Aliea Academy beside him, Endou thought he would do a celebratory clearance of the ball, throwing it to the air and heading it with "MEGATON HEAD!", a massive fist similar to the Fist of Justice slamming hard into the heavier alien soccer ball. Little did Endou know that Midoriya's unconscious (but not dead) body was falling from the skies above, and the heavy soccer ball collided with the stomach of the U.A student. However, this was a heavier and harder football with a far more powerful force behind it than any human could even dream of using, and as such it ripped through Izuku's body, which slumped to the floor, bleeding heavily from the wound.

Endou, clueless to what had happened, had turned and walked away. With a bit of luck, he could find that alien kid again, maybe someone like Kidou too to take him for some medical treatment for his arm.

Maverick: W-What the hell!? Hold on one second, things don't add up here, did we miss something in the analysis or what?

Silver: I would be assuming you're referring to Endou winning despite being weaker and less experienced on paper? Yeah, well as it turns out we did leave something from the analysis, and no it was definitely not an accident. Endou won here due to the fact that he was far faster, more versatile, way stronger and impressively durable compared to Izuku.

Maverick: O-Okay, then can we look at the advantages Deku had here first?

Silver: Definitely. In terms of actual fighting, Izuku was a smarter one and had the more offensive approach to Endou's more defensive one. For a soccer analogy here to compare the two styles, because the soccer kid won, it's like Jose Mourinho and his Tottenham Hotspur team versus someone like, say, Steven Gerrard and his Rangers team.

Maverick: Mourinho's tactics are quite defensive, with his "park the bus" tactics and whatnot, which represents Endou, right? Well Izuku's more aggressive and heavy attacking style are represented by Gerrard's Rangers team, who have a very aggressive style. The two contrasted one another very well, similarly to those two styles.

Silver: It all came down to whether or not Izuku's offense could snap open Endou's defense, and believe it or not, he couldn't really. We skipped the mentioning of Endou's feats to throw you readers for a loop, but now we'll gladly reveal them to you. While we are aware that Izuku contributed to half of that massive cloud splitting attack alongside Katsuki Bakugou, Endou has in fact saved shots from the higher ups of Aliea Academy's soccer teams, the first team of which being a team including none other than Reize.

Pop-Up: Reize is from Gemini Storm, as stated, and the Gemini Storm team are the weakest of the Aliea Academy teams, being the first team sent to face Endou and the Raimon Eleven.

Maverick: Reize here is basically the captain of the team, and in one of Raimon's games against them, Reize and his teammate, Diam, teamed up to perform an all powerful move called the Universe Blast. Now, you might be thinking, "surely this is some exaggerated name for the move", and I reply with... have you seen this move!? It's a shot that rips through the fabric of space itself! Don't believe me, have a look for yourself.

Silver: Not only was Endou able to stop a shot like this, but he did it using Majin the Hand, which already has much stronger variants that Endou has in his moveset. Now that's not all, the Gaia Break is another move that Endou stopped with his regular Majin the Hand, and according to the description of the move from Inazuma Eleven 2, it is "a mighty shot that gathers up the earth's energy and blasts it away". Did we mention that Gemini Storm are the weakest of the Aliea teams.

Maverick: You know, something here doesn't add up. If these shots are really that powerful, why don't they destroy the planet or some shit like that. They're clearly not illusions, God Knows for example showed Terumi flying with wings and everything and the crowd was silenced when such abilities such as his time stop was used. So if that's not the case, surely the planet would be destroyed, right?

Silver: That's not actually the case either Maverick, the canonical reasoning from the creators of the series behind why the ball doesn't destroy anything is that they are designed to "contain the power of the attack" within. I don't understand how they still don't destroy anything despite the power, but that's merely down to plot induced stupidity. However there have been very rare occasions in which the ball hasn't contained the attack power, such as Terumi's city busting feat. However, those occurrences are very rare, as we said.

Pop-Up: In terms of Endou's Omega the Hand, which is much stronger than the Majin that stopped these shots, while it has appeared in the debatably canon Ogre movie, it has also made appearances in Strikers. The games, anime and manga were all taken into account for both series, hence it's inclusion thanks to IES.

Maverick: So Izuku was actually weaker the whole time? Damn, that sucks. But hey, his attack and movement speeds were faster, right? Surely he could've struck Endou before he could do anything?

Silver: Well, remember how Endou is somewhat comparable to his teammate, Kazemaru's, reactions? Kazemaru reacted to natural lightning coming from The Tower. That's much, much faster than what Izuku himself scales to, All Might's incredible Sky Egg feat we mentioned in the analysis.

Maverick: Alright then. Besides that, Endou and Izuku could point out strategies and weak points in other opponents, as they have done in the past, but it was who's weak points were the most exploitable that decided the final outcome. While Izuku could push Endou's more defensive nature there wasn't much to exploit, as has been the realization of many an Inazuma Eleven villain in the past. On Endou's end though, there was a clear weakness that he could use to open Midoriya.

Silver: That would be Izuku's tendency to increase his power and risk hurting himself when pushed to the very limit. Izuku at 100% contributed to half that Heroes Rising feat, but we've already established that that feat is nowhere near enough to break Mamoru's Hissatsu skills, so what would be Midoriya's last resort against someone that's outclassing him in every department? Risking his health to try even harder.

Maverick: As Midoriya usually does. Even then, that wouldn't be NEARLY enough to break through Endou's defences. From there, Endou had a clear opening for victory, and while he wasn't an expert in fighting, he knows how to point out weaknesses in people, much like Deku, and use them to his advantage.

Pop-Up: While it could be claimed that Endou's usage of his abilities are rarely offensive thus he wouldn't attack, Endou has used shots and offensive Hissatsu in his battles before, and as such there's no saying he wouldn't take advantage of a free shot.

Silver: Deku may have had the fighting smarts and the fighting experience, yet Endou had the strength, durability, reactions and versatility to counter. Much to Maverick's shock and surprise, Endou the super goalkeeper just grabbed himself the most important clean sheet of the season.

Maverick: Nice footballing joke dude.

The winner is Endou Mamoru!"

Endou Mamoru VS Izuku Midoriya is the ??? "What-If?" episode in season ??? of The Sonic Scholar's Death Battle series, the ??? episode overall. It features Endou Mamoru, from Inazuma Eleven and Izuku Midoriya, from My Hero Academia.
Inazuma Eleven VS My Hero Academia! They're the next generation, heavily inspired by a figure they share a deep connection with. In this battle of "Offence VS Defence", who will prevail, Inazuma Japan's legendary goalkeeper, or the inheritor of One for All?

Introduction[]

Chrono: The spirit of an inspiration lives on in the hearts of their successors. With skill, passion and a desire to do good, these two follow in the footsteps of their beloved idols.

Kayla: Endou Mamoru, the legendary goalkeeper of Inazuma Japan!

Chrono: And Izuku Midoriya, current inheritor of the powerful Quirk, "One for All"!

Kayla: He's Chrono and I'm Kayla!

Chrono: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armour and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle!

Endou Mamoru[]

Chrono: Inazuma Eleven. The name, at first, might not mean a lot to you. However, ask around Japan, and you'll be given not just admiration for the team, but also the story of tragedy.

Kayla: Across the nation, the Inazuma Eleven were a well regarded football club coached by the inventive Endou Daisuke. A man who was as great a player as he was a manager, Daisuke was respected for the creation of unique footballing techniques which emphasised both teamwork and individual talents.

Chrono: Practically unmatched, none could defeat the legendary soccer team. However, around the same time, a hotshot striker was also making his name known across the country: Tougo Kageyama!

Kayla: Much like the Eleven, Kageyama's reputation was built around his footballing talents. A striker thought to be unbeatable, his fame and fortune would plummet upon a challenge send to Daisuke. Wanting to test his skills against this supposed pretender, Kageyama was both shamed and embarrassed.

Chrono: Having failed to beat Endou, the loss got to Kageyama's head. All of his skill and passion had vanished in a split second, leading to Tougo abandoning his wife and son, Reiji, the former who passed away and the latter who grew to despise the sport of soccer with a burning passion.

Kayla: So, what was Reiji's response to all of this? Tamper with the Inazuma Eleven team bus, and stage a crash which, supposedly, killed Daisuke onboard! Yes, really. Because football broke his family up due to an overreaction on his father's part, Reiji actually attempted to kill people!

Chrono: To be fair, though, there was a lot more going on behind the scenes than the accounts of the incident would have you believe. Reiji was in fact manipulated by a man who went by the name of Garshield Bayhan-

Kayla: A man despised for his obsession with lasagne and his hatred for Mondays.

Chrono: -who aimed to use the sport of soccer as a means of taking over the world, amassing a great fortune and establishing a cruel empire. Under his orders, Reiji plotted to end the Inazuma Eleven, getting away with his crimes to become the manager of Royal Academy, a football team who would grow to dominate over the annual Football Frontier tournament with an iron fist for the next forty years!

Kayla: Until the day, where Kageyama and the newest generation of Royal Academy would come to meet Daisuke's grandson. Having discovered Daisuke's notebook, filled to the brim with footballing techniques, inspiration took over the heart of a young lad who would grow not only to become a passionate soccer fan, but a great goalkeeper and leader, just like his grandpappy. This was none other than Endou Mamoru!

Chrono: Establishing a soccer club at school, Endou and his Raimon team faced a dilemma. Not only did the chairman's daughter, Natsumi Raimon-

Kayla: Resident "Anime Student Council Girl" and... Endou's future wife!?

Chrono: -have plans to disband the team, the team itself was underwhelming. Not only were they under the minimum player requirement for a first eleven, let alone a full squad, none of the existing players had the passion or commitment that Endou had.

Kayla: If they didn't gather enough players for their upcoming, so-called "friendly" match against Royal Academy later, and didn't beat Royal once they had done so, Natsumi would rip up the team there and then, failing to understand Endou's unwavering confidence in his teammates' abilities.

Chrono: But, thanks to the intervention of a hot headed attacker known as Gouenji Shuuya, Raimon lasted against Kageyama's team and were able to score with Endou's influence. Despite losing on the field, Royal saw fit to forfeit, handing the win to Raimon by default.

Kayla: And from that day forth, Endou would enter his team into the Football Frontier tournament, encounter gods, aliens and what have you afterwards, and grow to become a legendary leader much like Daisuke before him. The spirit of the Inazuma Eleven had been resurrected once more!

Chrono: Endou's goalkeeping abilities are nothing short of extraordinary. Such techniques known as "Hissatsu", 'Killer Moves' created by Endou's grandfather which Endou and his teammates came to learn over the course of their adventures.

Kayla: And it appears that Endou has the best of them, as he can stop all manner of shots with both of his iconic Hissatsu: God Hand and Majin the Hand!

Chrono: God Hand has evolved throughout the Inazuma Eleven series, eventually becoming "Shin God Hand" against the Dark Emperors, former Raimon players who had fallen under the corrupted influence of an alien meteorite. D... Don't question it.

Kayla: It also takes other forms, too. While not explicitly named "God Hand", Endou can utilise a similar technique which turns his golden glove into a punching fist. Called the Fist of Justice, it's in-game description reads those who dare defile the spirit of football cannot defeat this move. Which sounds freakin' awesome!

Chrono: Much like God Hand, Fist of Justice has also evolved, becoming Fist of Justice G5. It also comes with a fancy rainbow glow, just like Shin God Hand before it. A fancy move, but far from Endou's greatest technique, even if it was one even his grandfather could not master.

Kayla: Of course, we're referring to Majin the Hand. Considered one of Endou's strongest abilities, the kid is able to summon a devil-like monstrosity which throws it's hand at the ball in tandem with Endou to block incoming shots. While it isn't invincible, far from it in fact, it's immensely powerful.

Chrono: Able to stop shots such as God Knows, a shot which was able to create a massive crater in this soccer field. That's over 66.7 kilotons of TNT, and Majin the Hand stopped it like a paperweight.

Kayla: Which came just as much of a shock to Aphrodi than it did me. Even so-called gods were astonished by the power this goalkeeping superpower has up it's non-existent sleeve.

Pop-Up: In the original game, Endou actually learned Majin the Hand long before the final against Zeus, in a game against the former players of the Inazuma Eleven.

Chrono: While it doesn't have evolved states like God Hand and Fist of Justice do, Majin the Hand has similar techniques that also summon forth the devil to perform great and powerful moves. One such example is the "Hammer of Fury", which brings forth Majin's fist to slam down on opposition strikes.

Kayla: This has evolved to G2, though has also been broken through before. Endou's techniques aren't infallible, but they are strong nonetheless, and Hammer of Fury is another example of that.

Chrono: The final Majin-based Hissatsu is God Catch. Not to be confused with God Hand, Endou summons forth Majin the Hand, who throws it's hands out in a Kamehameha-esque fashion, it's palms making sure to stop any and all incoming attacks. Plus, this has also evolved, to G5 specifically, meaning it's much greater in power than it was, initially.

Kayla: Jeez, and you'd think this would be all in the kids' heads as part of their imagination, with how exaggerated these sports techniques are. Believe it or not, though, they're real. People can see and interact with them, hell, Endou himself is the source of a couple of Hissatsu, as well.

Chrono: Such as Nekketsu Punch or, in English, Fireball Knuckle! With this, Endou forces his fist into the incoming soccer ball, slamming it away with an almighty strike. Alternatively, Endou can take advantage of the ground by punching it instead. This generates a golden shield around him, and is known both as Ijigen the Hand and "Dimensional Hand".

Kayla: What exactly does that have to do with alternate dimensions? It looks just like a deflective shield, to me.

Chrono: Well, that's exactly what it is. The name "Dimensional Hand" refers to the fact that it sends a ball wildly off course, it's like it went to an entirely different dimension. In other words, a great exaggeration of just how far the shots end up missing when Ijigen the Hand blocks it.

Kayla: Oh, that makes sense. I mean, there are shots that can rip holes in space-time in this series, so forgive me for expecting anything wild.

Chrono: Trust me, Kayla, this isn't actually the height of Endou's powers. While only seen with story purposes in the non-canon Ogre movie...

Kayla: Shrek?

Chrono: Endou has one final goalkeeping ability, a form of God Hand much greater than the original, it's alternative forms and it's evolutions. A dark gold glove towering over Mamoru, generating lightning as it forms, this Hissatsu is described as being capable of "making light work of any kind of shot". Unmatched by Endou's other abilities, Omega the Hand is considered the greatest Hissatsu in the original series!

Pop-Up: Omega the Hand shows up in both the "Ogre" version of the third game, and Inazuma Eleven Strikers. As neither largely contradict the rest of the games, Omega the Hand is permitted for Endou in this episode.

Kayla: It works very similarly to God Hand, throwing itself forward to block fast approaching attacks. They key difference is in it's power, as it's considered far superior to Endou's other Hissatsu to the point where it's outright described as being the "Extreme God Hand"!

Chrono: And believe me, "Extreme God Hand" isn't a title that can be claimed so easily, as Endou's lesser Hissatsu, and Endou himself to an extent, are tremendously powerful.

Kayla: Oh, yeah, totally! Endou has dabbled in some outfield play now and again, and one of the shooting moves he can perform, with aid from his teammates of course, is known as Jet Stream.

Chrono: Jet Stream was able to break through an evolved version of the goalkeeping Hissatsu known as Tamashii the Hand, which itself was able to stop a shooting technique called the "Big Bang". Fired through the combined efforts of Endou's teammates, Kidou, Fubuki and Hiroto, the Big Bang is described as being a move which can "create the birth of a universe with an exploding shot". It might seem like exaggeration at first, until you analyse the move itself.

Kayla: You can see here that Hiroto, Fubuki and Kidou are able to place enough power into the ball to create a pocket dimension complete with stars and even a galaxy to boot! Their energies are forced into the shot, firing off towards it's target. Tamashii the Hand was not only able to stop the overall shot, Jet Stream tore through it, in it's evolved state, mind you, in return.

Chrono: And it should be pointed out that, originally, Jet Stream didn't work until Endou stepped in to involve himself in the creation of the shot. As a result, this scaling should apply to Endou as well, supporting my thoughts regarding Mamoru's absurd levels of spirit and strength. It's simply inhuman!

Kayla: But hey, all that physical prowess means nothing without the speed to react to such shots. So, how good is Endou in the speed department?

Chrono: Very good, actually. Remember, Endou was able to play against and react to his former teammate Kazemaru, who, during his time as a member of the Dark Emperors, was able to react to lightning from Touko's The Tower. From that alone, Endou's reactions are impressive, though it should be noted that he's not as fast as Kazemaru, especially not in terms of his movement speeds.

Kayla: Still, not bad for a kid who's still only in junior high. Endou's even tanked numerous, heavy hitting shots himself, though that does point out a major flaw out of many for Endou's character, which especially applies to battle scenarios like this one.

Chrono: Endou is more than willing to take brutal hits, in order to push himself and his courageous spirit further past it's limits. This has led to him getting beaten numerous times, though continuing to fight on is more a feat than a weakness.

Kayla: Plus, despite his moves being incredibly overpowered for a kid his age, from a sports series no less, Endou's Hissatsu techniques are not infallible. They can be broken through with enough power, and the lack of offensive versatility is another glaring flaw. Endou's not really a fighter, nor is he one to get into fights with his abilities.

Chrono: Endou focuses on defence over offence, that much is obvious. If he's low on working options, it's going to be hard for him to come up with a way to push back without tanking a few tough strikes, first. His spirit is strong, but sometimes that spirit needs to take a beating first.

Kayla: So, in a hypothetical scenario, imagine if Endou's facing an opponent substantially stronger than him. That reliance on taking some blows isn't going to work out well in the long run.

Chrono: Endou Mamoru is not one to be underestimated, however. He's the grandson of one of the most influential coaches and goalkeepers in Japanese football, and was one of the few chosen to represent the country in the Football Frontier International tournament.

Kayla: A great feat, made possible by his courageousness, strong spirit, charisma and passion for football which shines like lightning. There's no player worthy of continuing the Inazuma Eleven legacy than the unwavering young goakeeper, Endou Mamoru!

""No one burns with a fiercer passion for football than Raimon's fearless captain!""

Izuku Midoriya[]

Chrono: It all started with a baby, in China. Bathing in light, this unique child was unknowingly the first of many to suddenly manifest humanity's next evolutionary step. Extraordinary superpowers referred to as "Quirks", over eighty percent of the world's population developed strange and weird abilities, with some using them for good. Others, for evil.

Kayla: And for every all powerful villain, there was a great hero out there to stop them. Yet none received the acclaim and admiration of the general public quite like the "Symbol of Peace". The next inheritor of One for All, Toshinori Yagi. Or, as you might know him... All Might.

Chrono: Many looked up to All Might, a hero who always spread justice with a smile. However, none could claim to be the man's biggest fan as much as a young, Quirkless boy by the name of Izuku Midoriya.

Kayla: Midoriya was more than a boy who admired All Might, he dreamed of becoming just like him. Unfortunately, one day Midoriya would be diagnosed as one of the twenty percent of the world who were deemed "Quirkless", and as such, his dreams were shattered before his eyes.

Chrono: Throughout his childhood, Izuku would be relentlessly bullied, especially by explosive Quirk user Katsuki Bakugou. Bakugou was so pissy, in fact, that he would christen Izuku a demeaning nickname. One that literally referred to Midoriya as being someone incapable of achieving anything: Deku.

Pop-Up: "Deku" as a term does not carry any meaning in the Japanese language. The name itself is a shorthand term for being a "good for nothing", which refers to Izuku's lack of a Quirk and therefore, his apparent uselessness.

Kayla: But all of this taunting, teasing and outright beating from Bakugou wasn't enough to discourage Izuku. From doing what, exactly? Applying to U.A. Academy, which, for those not in the know, is a prestigious school where a select group of kids are chosen to study to become professional heroes, ushering the world in a new generation of superpowered saviours. Sounds sweet, right!?

Chrono: Sure, but for Deku, this wouldn't be as sweet as his fateful encounter with his inspiration. Under attack from a Clayface like goo monster, Izuku was saved by none other than All Might, himself!

Kayla: Midoriya learned, after being a little too clingy to Toshinori as he attempted to leave, that All Might had suffered a career damaging stomach injury earlier in his superhero career. Izuku discovered who Toshinori really was, and was told that he didn't have a future as a hero. Some idol, huh?

Chrono: In truth, All Might's power was fading. His Quirk was a unique one, passed from generation to generation, and due to the injury his time was slowly running out. Dejected and ashamed, Deku went off on his own. Until...

Kayla: Turns out that goo monster was back again, and this time he had Bakugou! Izuku, in a flash of courage, charged onto the scene and attempted to free his acquaintance from the supervillain. Yet this only trapped Izuku, too, forcing All Might into action to save the kids and save the day!

Chrono: But, while scolded for his attempt at heroism, Izuku managed to spark in Toshinori's eyes. He needed a successor to carry on his Quirk's legacy and, with extensive training, Midoriya became that very person.
