Eden VS Mami Tomoe

Eden VS Mami Tomoe is a What-If? episode of Death Battle. It features Eden of AgentHoxton's Arlian Angel series and Mami Tomoe of Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

Description[]

Arlian Angel VS Puella Magi Madoka Magica! Swords and guns clash as the most recent Arlian Angel takes on the gunslinging Magical Girl! Will Eden's training give him the strength to take Mami down?

Interlude[]

Wiz: Heroes can be brought into their line of duty at any kind of age. They usually come in the form of adults, but some can come at an earlier age.

Boomstick: These two in particular have not even technically reached adulthood, yet... and yet they are prepared to kick major ass. Eden, the Arlian Angel...

Wiz: And Mami Tomoe, the gunslinging Magical Girl.

Boomstick: Will guns prevail over swords? That's what we'll find out here! He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!

Wiz: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armour and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle.

Eden[]

Wiz: The Arlian Goddesses are a group of goddesses known for the creation of life in the Arlian Angel universe. They have control over the creation and destruction of planets, solar systems, galaxies, you name it. They held authority on creating life, death, and everything else in between. As you can imagine, they have incredible power and control over this universe.

Boomstick: There were plenty of ladies in this line-up; There is the cute Goddess of Nature, Gaiana, the smokin' hot Goddess of Power, Lazkatan, the action-packed Goddess of Combat, Satzu, the extremely Sonic-like Goddess of Speed, Ponzil, the absolutely sexy and incredibly appropriate Goddess of Beauty, Millanie, and the wise Goddess of Knowledge, Satika.

Wiz: But the main Arlian Goddess was, of course, Arlia, the Goddess of Love. Despite her higher authority, all goddesses have a say in the decisions they make in ruling over the universe from The Valley of the Goddesses, simply known as The Valley, a separate plane of existence that only Arlian God-blood could enter under normal circumstances.

Boomstick: They ruled alone with the occasional child here and there, but one fateful day, Arlia had her latest addition to the family...

Wiz: Enter the young prodigy Eden, Arlia's young angel son who would soon rise to be one of the most prominent guardians of the planet Arlion, the most recent and most successful planets of thriving life.

Boomstick: While his pint-sized wings on either side of his head are a little goofy for my liking, check out that smokin' red hair! There's not many people I know of who can rock that colour for their hair so well!

Wiz: Eden lived a calm and peaceful life with his mother and the other Arlian Goddesses, at least for 200 years--

Boomstick: 200?? The guy doesn't look that old!

Wiz: Well... not exactly. See, Arlian God-bloods tend to age 20 times slower than that of the average human being. In Eden's case, while he may have been alive for 200 years... he's not really any older than 10.

Boomstick: Soooooo... he's like a little kid...?

Wiz: Pretty much. Anyway, he was living peacefully with the Arlian Goddesses looking after him and loving him. But it didn't take long after that for something to go horribly wrong...

Boomstick: Confliiiict!

Wiz: The planet Arlion was declared under threat from an invasion by the army of mentor Black Baron, led by the powerful alien tyrant, Emperor Harlis.

Boomstick: A giant alien man with parasitic Lex Luthor armour.

Wiz: His technology combined with the distance he was away from Arlion indicated that the Goddesses only had a month before he touched down there, leaving them with not much other choice but to use this month as a means to transform the young Eden into a guardian worthy of Arlion's trust. He would become... an Arlian Angel, much like previous chosen warriors of the Goddesses from the past, and be a messenger and warrior for the Goddesses.

Boomstick: Eden vs. Wonder Woman confirmed. Hyped much, everybody?

Wiz: That's... not a confirmed match, Boomstick.

Boomstick: I can dream, Wiz! Well regardless, it turns out this was a good call, because Eden would be trained by the Goddesses to make the best use out of his angel-demigod-whatever heritage! He would be trained in the art of D... Dia... dee-djjjj-an...

Wiz: Djan-Oa.

Boomstick: I was getting there! Anyway, that fighting style that I totally know how to pronounce is a style that focuses on defensive postures and counter-attacks! A top Level 5 practitioner of this art will know how to handle all kinds of weaponry with this style, including hand-to-hand combat.

Wiz: At this point, Eden is a Level 3 practitioner. For him, this means he has practised with hand-to-hand combat skills, poles and staffs, and finally swordplay. However, this is not the only ability he has practice in. His wings, while in a strange place for an angel, can still support his weight and allow him for flight. There is no limit to his flight aside from his current reserve of energy known as Life Force. But we'll cross this later.

Boomstick: But combat training with Satzu was not all he practised! He also learned how to fly efficiently using his tiny wings with Ponzil, at least after that incident in their first session...

Eden crashes straight into some rocks and falls to the ground.

Boomstick: Heh heh. Dumbass. He also learned how to detect Life Force thanks to Gaiana!

Wiz: Life Force is an energy signature found within Arlian Angels and other living beings. By focusing his energy and concentrating, Eden can detect other peoples' Life Force signatures, even through solid objects such as walls. Depending on how... erm... alive... the being is, the Life Force signature will be stronger or weaker.

Boomstick: But he also gained knowledge from Satika, using the resources in her library to learn more about the generations that preceded him as well as the planet of Arlion itself! However, his biggest upgrade came from just before he went down to Arlion itself. Before he left for the first time, he was infused with a portion of each Goddess' power to boost his abilities, including power, speed, a small-scale healing factor, and even control over close-range environment, as well as other things! And by using up a lot of his energy, he can bring himself back to The Valley of the Goddesses in a matter of seconds, taking anything on his person or even other people with him, provided there is contact between them.

Wiz: With these powers and being Arlion's gift from the Goddesses, he'd surely be loved and cherished by the public.

(Pause, before Wiz and Boomstick both start laughing)

Boomstick: Ahhhh, as if...

Wiz: Turns out the public didn't seem to put much trust into Eden as he was a child, unlike most of the previous Arlian Angels before him, and was pretty much classed as anything else other than their chosen guardian by the very people he swore to protect.

Boomstick: Yeah, say that to your only hope of survival, good call on that one, folks!

Wiz: But Eden wasn't going to be alone forever. Following his first defeat at Harlis' hands, he was able to find two friends in the fire practitioner Juan and magic-savvy girl Kyrian, both of whom were similarly rejected from society due to their otherworldly powers.

Boomstick: And with that, the unlikely trio became a team to stop Harlis' wrath.

Wiz: Being an Arlian Angel and a guardian, it's no surprise that he needed to be kitted out with weaponry to complement his Level 3 Djan-Oa qualification. His main weapon, the indestructible Blade of Solaria, is a double-edged blade forged by the Combat Goddess Satzu, and is capable of firing rapid shots known as Angel Bullets, creating a shocking Electric Pulse, or pushing his own Life Force into his sword to fire the Gaia Cannon.

Boomstick: I've got a sweet Gaia Cannon too, if you know what I'm sayin'...

Wiz: Ugh... he also wields the Setzer Staff, another forged weapon from Satzu, and was the weapon used in his Level 2 training, complete with pop-up spearhead. It is infused with Eden's own energy so, while fragile, should it be destroyed, Eden can simply create a new one on his own.

Boomstick: But for getting up close and personal, by pulling them out or sometimes even summoning them with his energy, he wields the Goddess Gauntlets, created by the cutie Gaiana. These super-strong gloves can be used to reinforce his punches while protecting his hands from major damage, being made from reinforced steel laced with diamond. Essentially, it'll protect him from a lot of things provided he blocks it in the first place!

Wiz: I... guess it's better than a fictional metal stronger and lighter than titanium. Anyway, Eden needed to hold his own supply of Life Force on him for travelling, otherwise he would immediately die upon leaving The Valley. For this, Satika and Millanie created Eden's Life Band, a headband that holds Eden's Life Force in the form of the Gaia Crystal in the middle of his head. In order to survive, he needs to wear it at all times to keep a consistent supply of Life Force.

Boomstick: Both it and the Life Force are basically life support systems... too bad it had a glowing "hit me" button in the middle...

Wiz: See, if Eden runs out of Life Force manually, he doesn't exactly die, rather forced into a comatose-like state until a method of recharging it can be attained, such as heading back to The Valley. Just like a battery, really. In order to put him down for good, one would need to destroy the Gaia Crystal contained in his Life Band.

Boomstick: There's also the Ascension Form, an Arlian Angel form that increases capabilities to the angel in question and varies depending on the person. Buuuuuuut Eden can't access it yet since he's underdeveloped in power. But regardless, Eden has one last calling card up his sleeve! After infiltrating one of Harlis' fortresses, he was able to steal a mech suit and use it to battle the emperor, before escaping. It's known as the Mark 19 Tactical Assault Unit, but commonly referred to as... the Warbreaker Suit.

Wiz: The Warbreaker Suit is a mech suit made for heavy-duty combat and exploration, made possible by the alien material used to create it. It's remarkably tough, despite its weakness to strong electrical discharges as well as Eden being a bit of a clunky pilot, and comes equipped with a pulse sword, an arm shield, and an energy cannon mounted on the shoulder which can be charged up for extra power.

Boomstick: I like it! Eden's drive to keep everybody safe is stronger than anything he has had to face, but that doesn't mean he can't step up against the big names! Take, for example, the time he was punched by Lazkatan when trying to prove his growth in power, got impaled through his fucking CHEST, and was able to walk it off in a matter of minutes. He's also been able to hold his ground and survive against tough baddies like Emperor Harlis, Black Baron, and the mercenary Conquest!

Wiz: But sadly, Eden is not exactly without fault. Eden's head is a pretty big weak spot, since not only is it where his Gaia Crystal is, but also where there is no Life Force to protect it from damage. If one were to cut off his hand, say, it would take a number off his Life Force but it wouldn't chop off his hand. But if one were to cut off his head, the Life Force connection would break and Eden would die.

Boomstick: It also doesn't help that little Eden's a pacifist, and will avoid a fight if he can help it. Not to mention that if that Gaia Crystal breaks, he can pretty much kiss his ass goodbye. And on top of that, his healing can be broken with enough damage.

Wiz: But in all, Eden is a young freedom fighter who will do what it takes to keep everyone safe from danger.

Eden: Because of who I am... this world is not ready to accept me as their saviour, even as a gift from the Goddesses. But that's okay. I don't need their approval right now. All I need is their trust for when they are in dire need. For them to allow me to step up to the situation at hand and help get them and Arlion out of danger. Because I am the Arlian Angel, and I will never give up!

Mami[]

Wiz: The current situation in the world of Puella Magi Madoka Magica was grim. Madoka Kaname and Sayaka Miki were in a spot of doom and gloom--

Boomstick: And if Madoka of all people is in a spot of bother at all, knowing her power at any point in the series, then you KNOW shit's going down!

Wiz: The duo were stuck in the labyrinth of the witch Gertrud, and had to wander through it in hopes of escaping and making progress.

Boomstick: Gertrud's Maze, quite possibly the hardest challenge on Takeshi's Castle.

Wiz: They thought they would be doomed to wander through this seemingly endless maze for eternity, until a ray of hope emerged in the form of the young gunslinger, Mami Tomoe, who is confirmed to be the very original Magical Girl of the five, having been the first to sign a contract with Kyubey the... whatever the hell he's supposed to be.

Boomstick: A girl who is over-endowed for her age and has a hairstyle that, quite frankly, disobeys the laws of physics itself.

Wiz: Oh, shut up, Boomstick. Just don't question it.

Boomstick (grumbling): The hell kind of genetics does it take...

Wiz: Well, regardless, she discovered the duo, and was able to help Madoka and Sayaka through this labyrinth and faced the witch Gertrud, and subsequently defeated her. It's little wonder how Madoka and Sayaka both took a liking to her.

Boomstick: Word of God even states that Mami is one of the strongest Magical Girls of the group behind the obvious Madoka! With her incredible power and experience, there's no way that anything could have possibly gone wrong for--

(Mami's death scene plays, followed by a slightly long pause)

Boomstick: ...Well... shit.

Wiz: Only three episodes in, Mami was killed after she fought just a little too recklessly.

Boomstick: Imagine what would have happened if she actually survived the fight... man... it would have changed a LOT of things, I'm sure...

Wiz: But if Mami shows herself to be weak because of her death, that's where you're mistaken. She is actually a very capable fighter, more than capable of holding her own against very tough opponents, whether they be other Magical Girls, wraiths or even witches, helped by her weapons used in combat.

Boomstick: She's a gun user through and through, but unlike most other gun users, Mami herself is pretty much a walking armoury of magical guns, which is handy for whippin' out a gun on a moment's notice!

Wiz: See, she can pull out her guns from practically anywhere on her person - from under her hat, from up her sleeves, they can pretty much be pulled out of anywhere on herself in as many numbers as Mami pleases. The most common method, though, being--

Boomstick: What the fu--did she just have guns stored up her friggin' SKIRT?

Wiz: Uh... yes.

Boomstick: How the hell does she store them on her? And how is she not uncomfortable?!

Wiz: ...Magic, I guess? I'm not one hundred percent sure.

Boomstick: I wonder if she accidentally spills a lot of her guns... if only we could see how it actually works...

Wiz: Let's not go there... anyway, being a gunslinger, it's no surprise she is skilled with her weaponry.

Boomstick: She's got some pretty exceptional marksmanship going on, having never missed a target she has aimed at! Even when casually shooting, she can easily get through the fight by getting as many guns as she can get herself at one time and fire a rifle once at her target... and then she throws that gun to one side and fires another one. And another one, and another one, and another one, and another one, and another one, and then she fires, like, a shit-ton more until the target's dead.

Wiz: Well, it's not QUITE as simple as that, but even still, she does seem to enjoy alternating between guns as if they only have one shot in their magazines. Which does beg the question - who on Earth designed those makes of guns in that universe?

Boomstick: I would SURE like to know, because I need a ton of those things myself, at least if I wanna try the one-gun-at-a-time shooty trick.

Wiz: But that's not all. Aside from her creation of... magical guns, I guess... she can also summon ribbons, which can be used to trap her opponents.

Boomstick: Yeah, bring a bunch of fabric ribbons into battle against things trying to kill you. Wise idea, Mami!

Wiz: Actually, Boomstick, they're based off of Mami's life energy. As long as Mami is in a well-enough condition, they're pretty much inescapable.

Boomstick: So... she uses it for kinky combat bondage, right?

Wiz: ...No. She's also capable of creating more guns out of them as well as creating fully-functional clones of herself.

Boomstick: That's some freaky shit! Imagine just walking down the street and just seeing an army of Mamis heading right for you! You'd probably be confused on whether to greet them or run away... though they probably wouldn't give you a choice.

Wiz: But her ribbons are also a set-up for one of her greatest finishers. By leaving the foe trapped in ribbons, she can create a gun much larger than herself and fires a huge bullet at them, one capable of creating enormous holes in enormous witches.

Boomstick: It is known... as the Tiro Finale, which is a stupid name in my opinion. It should have been called "Deadly As Fuck" since it is capable of putting an end to pretty much anything that gets caught by that enormous bullet fired from a gun that makes E-123 Omega look like a pea-shooter. And HE makes NAPALM MAN look like a pea-shooter!

Wiz: Like all Magical Girls, Kyubey sealed Mami's life in the little piece known as a Soul Gem, and is worn on her at all times, usually as a headpiece or a ring.

Boomstick: Better than having it in OBVIOUS spots, you know?

Wiz: Mami is essentially a lich. But if her Soul Gem is to break or separate 100 feet from her body, she will die, leaving the indication that her Soul Gem is something that needs to be protected, concealed or not.

Boomstick: She also gains one pretty monstrous transformation thanks to Madoka, both in practice and in physicality! She is able to swap out between her normal form and her witch form, which is... basically this thing!

Candeloro appears.

Wiz: This is Candeloro, Mami's witch form. Just like Mami's ribbons, Candeloro never allows for opponents to escape or have any breathing room, and is capable of many of the same abilities Mami is capable of doing, such as firing rifles and summoning ribbons.

Boomstick: She even has a Tee-err-o Finale of her own, but unlike her human self, this version's composed of fire! And thanks to the ever-so-handy Law of Cycles, she can switch in and out of this form at will.

Wiz: All in all, Mami is a very powerful, fast, agile and capable fighter, and her accomplishments show that. She's equalled Homura Akemi in combat, lifted and controlled the gun's recoil when using the Tiro Finale numerous times, killed multitudes of witches, and has held her own against other Magical Girls she has fought.

Boomstick: It's a shame being so awesome comes at a price...

Wiz: That's right. While she's got the power to back herself up, she's often susceptible to underestimating foes when she first fights them and becoming overconfident in her abilities, such as with Charlotte, and more prominently with Homura. Not to mention that she has a habit of freezing up if something goes wrong or away from the intended result.

Boomstick: Or alternatively, she just goes mad! Like when she heard that Magical Girls became witches, she went ape and tried to kill some of them. In this, she almost killed Homura and once actually went the whole distance and killed Kyoko. Y'know, that one girl who has an extending spear-thing, fought two guys and maybe became a wiki's most prominent waifu ever? That one. And despite being so powerful, her one weak point still remains that hit-me button. Though good luck trying to get there!

Wiz: Mami is a powerful and classy Magical Girl who will not let anything stand in her way.

Mami: It's the first time I've been this happy while fighting. I'm not scared of anything any more. I'm not alone any more.

DEATH BATTLE![]

AgentHoxton[]

An empty alley is shown before a bright orb of light began to engulf it. A small boom sounded before the light and sound dissipated, and a young angelic boy stood where this light once was. This was the arrival of the Arlian Angel, Eden, having been assigned to Mitakihara Town for what Eden assumed was a prevention of Emperor Harlis, or at least someone of the nature, closing in on the populated area. Arlia and the other goddesses didn’t exactly provide too many details, but needless to say Eden felt out of his comfort zone, having not been assigned anywhere on Arlion, at least so he felt. But if it meant protecting the people? He’d do it. He looked around his foreign surroundings before beginning to make his way down the streets, heading into the busier parts of town. He was so focused on trying to get used to his surroundings and finding out where to go to fulfil his assignment that he didn’t notice that two girls were shadowing him from behind. One of them turned to the other.

"He doesn’t look like one of the other people..." the first one said in a light but worried voice, using her hand to wipe her brow. "Do you think he’s a disguised wraith?"

"Probably. Let’s go hit that f*crunch*ing chump anyway." came the slightly more gruff response from the other girl, with one hand on her hip and the other holding a pocky stick. "Could be worth finding out."

The two girls suddenly transformed before they drew out their weapons and began to close in on the angel. Eden noticed that civilians were panicking and turned towards what they were looking at, only to see two girls with a spear and a sword respectively charging at him. He drew his Setzer Staff, ready for battle with these complete strangers with a look of worry on his face.

Meanwhile, a girl clad in simple clothing was sat at a table on her own, sipping tea. The blonde curly hair indicated that she was the Magical Girl, Mami Tomoe. She hadn’t seen her friends since they split up from the school gates and was wondering how they were faring. Suddenly, she could hear the sounds of shouting and weapons clashing in the distance. Instinctively, she put her teacup down and transformed into her Magical Girl form, before she ran to the source of the commotion deeper in town.

When she got there, she noticed that Kyoko was off to one side, clutching her arm and trying to catch her breath while Sayaka was engaged in battle nearby. Mami ran up to her.

"Kyoko? Wh-what's going on?" She asked. Before she could get an answer, the sounds of Sayaka's struggles caught her attention. She and Eden clashed swords before being caught in a blade lock with no side taking advantage. Suddenly, Eden flicked his sword in a motion that knocked Sayaka's into the air before using the open opportunity to kick her away. Sayaka tumbled across the ground, ending up at Mami's feet, whom of which pulled her friend back up.

"Sayaka, what's happening?" She asked, hoping that she'd get a clear answer from her. Sayaka looked up at her.

"L-look, I don't know who he is or what he wants... me and Kyoko were trying to stop him because we thought... we thought he was a wraith... and no matter what he tried, we couldn't stop him..." She explained. Mami stood up straight and put Sayaka alongside Kyoko.

"It's because you two are more suited to close range." Mami explained. "You're in his forte. You two go and recover. I'll take care of whoever this kid is." And before either could object, Mami walked off to face him, leaving the two no other choice but to leave. Eden sheathed his sword and was about to leave, until he noticed that Mami was approaching him. He couldn't pull his sword back again, not right now.

"Okay, kid." Mami stated firmly. "What's your name?" Eden blankly stared at her. Why was she so desperate to know who he was?

"Eden, Miss...?" Came Eden's reply. Mami made a mental note of his name. It might become useful later on.

"Mami. Just call me Mami." She responded. Eden watched her, unable to help but feel intimidated.

"Okay, Eden. I don't know who you are, where you came from, or what your intentions are. But hurting others, especially my friends, is not acceptable." She pointed her finger at Eden, whom of which felt a little intimidated. Why was she faulting him? Surely it was the others who attacked?

"Y-you and your friends attacked me first!" Eden defended, putting his hands out in front of him. "I-I only attacked them back in self-defence! I didn't want to get killed!" Mami glared at him before raising her skirt slightly on both ends. Eden watched as four rifles suddenly dropped to the ground. Mami picked one of them up before facing Eden again.

(Cue Air Gear - Snapped)

"If they attacked you..." Mami began, staring at the rifle in her hand. "...Then you must have something to hide. Let's see how innocent you really are." She smiled as she pointed the rifle at Eden.

Eden gulped nervously before summoning his Setzer Staff. He didn't want any more trouble. But he had nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. He had to stand and fight her, and now he was just anticipating the attack. He was in for a hard time.

FIGHT!

Mami pulled the trigger, firing a shot at Eden, whom of which blocked the bullet with his staff. Mami threw the gun off to one side and picked another up, firing again at Eden. She continued shooting Eden with different guns as he flew around her, using his staff to block the bullets from hitting him. Eden spotted an opening and tried to get a lunging foot dive in, which Mami jumped back to avoid. She flipped her rifle around and used it like a club to parry Eden's staff attacks blow for blow. Mami jabbed Eden in the chest with the rifle's end before kicking him twice with one leg and using another kick with the other to knock him back. Eden tumbles across the street before getting back onto his feet. She smiled at him with her brows furrowed.

"You can't run!" Mami shouted before pulling two more rifles out of her hat and pointed them at Eden, firing to her heart's content. Eden continued his flight before putting his staff away, now opting for his Goddess Gauntlets, which he summons onto his hands. Using them to shield the incoming bullets from Mami, he flies towards her again and kicks her in the stomach, knocking her against a wall. Eden flew in and punched her in the stomach to follow up...

...Nothing. At least, no visible damage seemed to have been caused. Eden looked up at Mami in disbelief as Mami smiled at him. Eden, in desperation, pulled his fist back and tried to rapidly punch Mami's stomach with his fists. Mami doesn't even make an attempt to fight back, taking the blows with no trouble as she laughs.

"Ahaha... awww... your efforts are just so cute!" Mami teased. "I'm sure you should realise that attacking there isn't going to work!" Eden, angered, flew back up slightly, summoning his Setzer Staff again. This time, a small spearhead popped out from the tip. Mami opened her eyes and suddenly realised that Eden was now above her, ready to attack her in the head.

"H-how about this?" He called to her, trying to thrust the spearheaded staff into Mami's head. Mami caught the spear just before the point drove into her head. Eden got scared as she adjusted her grip on the blue pole and swung it hard, throwing Eden into the street with a sickening "thump". Mami then walked up to Eden and smashed the staff over Eden's face with enough force to break it. As the staff faded, Mami picked up one of her rifles she had left lying around and pointed it at Eden, whom of which barely avoids getting shot as he flew back. Mami twirled the rifle around in her fingers.

"Are you scared of me?" She asked in a casual tone of voice.

"I-I don't wanna hurt you, y'know!" He blurted, pulling out the Blade of Solaria. Mami tilted her head slightly at his change of play style, before pulling out another rifle from up her sleeve and fired two more shots at Eden. Eden fired two Angel Bullets that stopped the shots in their tracks, leaving smoking casings. Eden fired more Angel Bullets at Mami, who responded by dropping more guns from her skirt and firing them at him. The two sets of projectiles collided with one another, leaving no progress between either of them. Mami silently observed his movements as she continued firing at him.

"Hmmm..." she said in her thoughts. "Perhaps he's prone to...? Perhaps I can try something." And with that, she jumped back and dashed behind a building. Eden tilted his head at this sudden change of tactics and decided to give chase, flying across to where she ran off and confronting her behind the building, before sheathing his sword and summoning his gauntlets again. Mami turns around to see him suddenly charging at her and punching her in the face, before getting a successful donkey kick in the stomach. He then unsheathes the Blade of Solaria once again as he charges up a medium-sized Gaia Cannon, and fires it at Mami. The beam blasts her entire body, including the Soul Gem. The Magical Girl can't help but let out a small yell as she disintegrated in the beam. Before long, she was pretty much ashes. Eden panted for breath as he sheathed the blade once again.

"I apologize for doing that..." he said to the pile of ashes in front of him. "But the deed had to be done." Eden would have turned around and walked off in peace, until a voice chilled his spine and made him turn anyway.

"You haven't done any deed yet."

Eden turned and noticed Mami standing back out in the street, one of her muskets slung over her shoulder and smiling. Eden stared at her in utter disbelief, before looking back at the ashes.

"But--then... what was that...?" He thought to himself, trying to think of an explanation. But suddenly, Eden flinched as a shot from Mami's musket bounced off of his Life Band, causing him to fly back up into the air again. He wasn't quite done here.

Mami continued to get more guns and fired each one at the flying Arlian Angel, whom of which was constantly trying to hit her with Angel Bullets of his own. Neither side seemed to be taking advantage as Eden tried to keep away, attempting to concentrate and heal the wounds he had gathered with his healing power. As his eyes were screwed shut and his wounds started to heal, he noticed his Life Force count on the side of his view.

18%.

"...I'm going to need to get back to The Valley soon..." Eden mused to himself as he tried to launch more Angel Bullets at Mami, whom of which easily countered with her own gunfire. He decided to land back on the street and try to heal his wounds, all the while thinking of how he could possibly get Mami to stop going after him. Mami spotted him stopping and leapt at him with a flying kick, knocking him away and giving him a mark on his head where her foot landed. Eden got back up slowly as Mami approached, ready to shoot Eden again, but Eden quickly summoned his gauntlets and punched the rifle out of her hands. Mami flinched as Eden grabbed her by the wrist, placing his other hand in a two-fingered motion on his head as he concentrated again.

"Y-you're coming with me, Miss Mami...!" He murmured as he tried to summon his energy to bring him to The Valley. Mami regained focus as a white aura began to engulf Eden slowly. At first, she smirked, until she realized the aura was now creeping up her own arm and starting to cover her, as well. Before long, Eden and Mami were both enveloped in the white aura. A bright flash and a small booming was seen and heard before calm fell again. Eden and Mami had both disappeared.

The Valley of the Goddesses

The Valley was calm at the moment. But the calm was soon to be interrupted by the arrival of Eden, and the visit of Mami, whom Eden had brought with him. The white bright orb of light began to appear in the sky, before the booming sound indicated their arrival. Eden used his wings to stay in the air, whereas Mami fell to the ground on her feet. She looked around her new surroundings, but Eden felt a lot more comfortable now that he was in his element.

(Cue Relentless Barrage)

"Is this your homeland?" Mami asked him.

"Of course." Eden responded plainly. "But sadly, this is where I have no choice but to take you down." Mami smirked at this message.

"Like I'll go down to someone like you." She boasted, lifting her hat and pulling out a pair of muskets. Eden responded by raising up into the air before making a swooping dive, preparing his sword to strike. Mami fired both muskets at him, each blocked by the sword's blade, before Eden swings at Mami as he dashes by. Mami rolls out of the way as Eden faces her again. Mami placed a hand over her chest... and as if pulled out of her... cleavage (seriously), she pulled out yet another rifle. Eden looks on, perplexed.

"Is this some kind of magic trick of yours?" He asked with the utmost of his own innocence. Eden fired out more Angel Bullets, noticing that his Life Force was starting to climb again now that he was in The Valley. As long as he avoided enough attacks to make the most of it, he'd be back to full in no time. Mami continued firing guns at him, whilst Eden flew around firing Angel Bullets back in hopes to get a few hits on the Magical Girl. Eventually, Mami decided to lift her skirt again to spill even more guns on the floor. Eden used the opportunity to swoop down and kick her in the stomach, knocking her away a little. Eden then took his sword and stabbed the Blade of Solaria through Mami's stomach. But despite Mami flinching at the sword going straight through her, no more visible damage seemed to be done aside from a small amount of blood. Now, Eden was no longer puzzled. He was afraid.

"H-how are you doing this??" Eden asked with a shaky voice. Mami smirked back at his fear.

"That's a secret." She replied, punching Eden in the face to knock him and his sword away. As he tumbled across the ground, she picked up one of the rifles on the ground and fired it at Eden's Gaia Crystal. Eden pulled his head down, causing the shot to ricochet off of his Life Band instead. Eden shakily got back up again and got back into the air before Mami could shoot him again. He flew back at her with his sword held over his head, ready to stab Mami. He missed and swung at her again, which was blocked by Mami's musket. They continue to stalemate until Eden swiped his sword at Mami's head. It missed her, but knocked the trinket holding her Soul Gem off of her head. Mami froze as she felt a sudden pain jolt through her body. Her Soul Gem impacted on something. She felt her head as she realised her headpiece had been knocked off.

"Huh?" Eden looked over at the trinket on the ground, and flew over to pick it up. Mami was scared. He was basically holding her life in his hands. She screwed her eyes shut, just expecting her Soul Gem to break at any moment...

...Nothing.

"What...?" Mami whispered.

Mami opened her eyes, and saw Eden smiling in front of her, his hands cupped together. Mami felt her head again and found that Eden must have attached the headpiece back onto her head. He had spared her life, and from the looks of his face, chances are he didn't know it.

"I just thought I'd return it to you, Miss Mami." Eden explained, bowing slightly with closed eyes. He opened them again upon standing straight...

...and was met with the barrel of Mami's musket. Eden immediately yelped and rocketed upward into the sky just before Mami pulled the trigger, avoiding getting shot in the face.

"Ch-cheap shot!" Eden declared as he tried to regain his composure. He was almost back to full Life Force, he shouldn't blow it now. Mami continued unleashing gunfire on the small Arlian Angel, who was using every air technique he could think of to try and avoid getting shot down. While Mami wasn't exactly too far off of hitting him, she was admittedly getting frustrated with every missed shot. He was becoming too fast to properly hit.

"How am I going to get you back down here?" she asked herself, continuing to use multiple guns to fire bullet after bullet in hopes that one would clip Eden and send him hurtling to the floor. But then, she had an idea. It was... risky... but if she pulled it off correctly, she would have him in her grasp... She stopped firing her guns, purposefully leaving herself open to attack. Eden looked down at her, realizing he has an opportunity, and charged up another medium sized Gaia Cannon. Mami looked up at the energy beam before belatedly jumping away from the beam, being caught in its blast radius. Mami got blown through the air and tumbled across the ground. She clutched her legs in pain... but then again, she wasn't actually hurt at all by the blast. But she had to make it convincing to get Eden to come to her. Back up into the sky, Eden saw what could be his opportunity, and dived back down, stopping a few feet short of Mami, nearby.

"Have I finally got you to stop?" He asked, sheathing his sword and approaching with caution. He needed to make sure just how badly Mami was hurt, and her expressions on her face seemed to indicate she was in major pain... Mami got onto her knees, opening one eye and seeing that Eden was within touching distance. Quickly thinking, she grabbed Eden by the arm and pulled him closer, pushing him against her body and sealing him there with her arms...

"Nngh!" Eden couldn't help but feel compressed against Mami. What was she doing? Had she completely forgotten that they were fighting? Eden wasn't even comfortable as he was forced to be put up against Mami's body. Even despite his struggles to break loose, Mami's... hug, supposedly... was holding his head firmly against her chest area.

"Let me go!" Eden demanded. Mami looked down at him with a casual look on her face as she stood up, carrying Eden with her as she just stood there, feigning care.

"In a moment..." Mami answered as she shut her eyes. The feelings towards him were not actually genuine - it was merely a set-up. Behind her, she was generating a pair of yellow ribbons which suddenly loomed towards the angel. Just before they were about to envelope the two of them, Mami pushed herself away from the Arlian Angel, resulting in him being completely wrapped in the ribbons as he awkwardly stumbles as much as he could. Mami smiles, realising that he is now completely helpless to her finisher. Eden tries to fly up with his wings to get away, but Mami had already materialised a gun much larger than she was, taking careful aim at the angel before getting ready to fire. This meant only one thing was coming.

"TIRO FINALE!"

Mami fired the gun as an enormous bullet surged towards Eden and ploughed straight through the lower two-thirds of his body, breaking the ribbons on contact. For Eden, time was slowing down as the bullet surged through him. While his Life Force protection prevented the bullet from completely decimating his body, he could feel the HUGE drop in Life Force being sapped out of him as the bullet passed through him. He could see it being presented in his own eyes - what was once 90% of his Life Force was now just barely scraping over 15%. After the bullet passed through, it knocked him back with incredible force, slamming him straight through a nearby metal container. Mami landed back on the ground and twirled one of her rifles.

"And that's how it's done." Mami said plainly with a smile. She had won.

Or so she thought. But little did she know from the movements inside the container that Eden wasn't quite down for the count yet.

(Cue Sons Of Amon - God Mode at x1.5 speed)

A thumping sound was heard in the metal container, before it completely broke, revealing a charcoal-black metal suit flying back into the battle scene and landing with a heavy thump. It was only a few feet taller than Mami herself, and Eden was shown sitting inside. Eden had broke out the Warbreaker Suit. Mami froze... not only did Eden survive the Tiro Finale - something that doesn't often occur - but he now had something else in store.

"Sorry, but.. I'm not going down right now!" Eden declared as the Warbreaker's chest closed and the head's visor glowed red. Mami regained her focus just as the metallic behemoth began to step towards her. She quickly pulled out more rifles and fired each one at the Warbreaker, each bullet getting blocked by the shield Eden pulled in front of it. Mami tried to shoot it down, but was failing, and Eden was now ready to fight her with it. The Warbreaker suit punched her before doing a knee kick on her, knocking the Magical Girl back. Mami continued all kinds of guns on the Warbreaker, none of them seeming to affect it in any way. She avoided getting punched by the suit again as she spawned hundreds of guns behind her, as if it formed a wall of guns. All aimed at Eden. From inside, Eden was sweating.

"O-oh boy..."

The guns all fired on the Warbreaker Suit, forming a bullet rain. Eden raised the shield to try and protect himself from the hail of gunfire. The mass amount of shots kept pushing it back and denting the armour. After the gun had stopped firing, the Warbreaker Suit was still operating fine, but the shield was somewhat buggered from the impact of that many bullets.

"Hoo boy.. that was kind of frightening, actually..." Eden admitted.

Mami froze again. The mech suit had survived her bullet rain? What was this otherworldly thing made of? She was quickly snapped out of her freeze by Eden grabbing her with the suit's hands, flying up to the base of a mountain and slamming her against it. He then fired up the jets on its back, scraping her across the side of the mountains before throwing her up in the air and taking aim with the shoulder-mounted energy cannon.

"Time f-for a taste of your own medicine! I mean, that's what you usually say in a situation like this, right?" Eden called as the cannon charged and fired, hitting Mami directly. Mami tumbled back across the ground again as the Warbreaker Suit approached again. Mami, now angry that she was unable to seemingly damage this machine, turned her arms into cannons, firing at the Warbreaker Suit in hope that the shots would damage the suit. Eden was able to steer the suit around each shot before being able to land back in front of Mami. Suddenly, the triangular-shaped pulse sword began to glow and charge up. Eden sliced it at one of Mami's arm-cannons, reverting it back. He repeated this for the other arm cannon before grabbing Mami again and throwing her into the air. Finally, the Warbreaker Suit flew up a little and punched Mami with as much force as Eden could muster. Mami was sent flying over the mountain tops as a result of this.

The Warbreaker Suit got back down to the ground as Eden regained his breath. In the impact site, Mami was getting angry. How was he able to do this well? She stood up straight and closed her eyes, ready to try something that should stop this metal monster. Elsewhere, Eden noticed the sky was suddenly beginning to darken.

"W-woah... mother never said anything about this sudden storm..." Eden mused. Rain began to pour down quickly before a lightning bolt struck nearby. Suddenly, Eden heard a roar coming from the mountains, and before Eden realised it, one of the mountains had been completely obliterated, making way for Mami's witch, Candeloro. Eden was now scared beyond belief.

"W-what is that thing?!" He asked before gingerly taking off once again to try and fight this... thing. Two giant muskets appeared by Candeloro's side as she fired both at the Warbreaker Suit. The first collided with the exterior of the suit, damaging it and knocking it back. Eden raised the already damaged shield on the arm to try and stop the second shot, and the shield broke upon the shot's impact. Eden tried charging up the energy cannon again and fired it at the witch, but the shot didn't seem to do any damage to it.

"You... can't... escape..." Candeloro spoke in Mami's voice to Eden. Eden felt chills going down his spine at this comment, at least do to it being so ominous and... quite scary. Suddenly, as Eden ascended to try and get a better angle... the Warbreaker Suit got struck by lightning.

"AH!" Eden felt the massive electric shock go through his body as the suit began to lose power at a rapid rate, barely continuing its hovering. Candeloro swiped one of its ribbons forward, wrapping around the helpless Warbreaker Suit and crushing its exterior, before unravelling and plunging straight through the suit itself, wrenching Eden out of the suit and into her grasp. Eden couldn't help but give out frightened yelps at Candeloro held him, the now-defunct Warbreaker Suit falling to the ground below and, eventually, exploding in a massive fireball.

(Cue Dragon Ball Z - Ginyu Transformation)

"Don't... leave..." Candeloro murmured again in Mami's voice. Eden was almost paralysed in pure fear, until he realised he had to fight back. Eden tried his might and struggled against the grip of the witch, but eventually, through some miracle, he was able to wrench one of his arms free, allowing him to grab the Blade of Solaria and stabbing it into the hand of the witch, preparing a fully-charged Electric Pulse, which engulfs the witch's arm, including himself. Though it seemed to do more damage to him than it did to Candeloro, it did seem to force the witch to let him out. And that seemed to anger her.

"You... will... ne... ver... leave..." Candeloro spoke out again as a lightning bolt struck the ground between her and Eden. She lashed out her ribbon arms again, but Eden flew out of the way to avoid them, firing Angel Bullets at her in hope it would do something, anything at all. It didn't. By now, Eden had tears in his eyes and was getting desperate, having pretty much no other options to turn to. The witch prepared a monstrously-sized musket and pointed it at Eden, preparing an attack that would roast him unless Eden did something. Eden noticed his Life Force was at 31% and declining. This next attack had to count.

"TIRO FINALE!" Mami's voice called out again from Candeloro.

Candeloro's Tiro Finale, now fire-infused instead of weapon-based, shot out at Eden, and Eden pumped as much of his energy into his sword as he could manage and fired an enormous Gaia Cannon at the witch. The two forces stopped each other mid-air and remained in some form of a power struggle that was just causing tension between the two forces. Eden held his Blade of Solaria tightly with both hands as he struggled to keep the beam steady. After a few seconds of stalemating, the forces eventually created a massive explosion...

The skies had cleared, practically to the way they were before. Candeloro had vanished, and instead Mami was laying on the floor of The Valley. The burning wreck of the Warbreaker Suit was nearby. It seemed as if she was dead as Eden lay nearby too. But then she got up slowly, dusting herself down as she coughed. Apart from the dirtiness of her state, she was okay.

Eden, however, was far from okay.

His clothes were torn, his skin was battered and bruised with many cuts, and his hair was ruined, as he was laying face-down on the floor. He, too, was still alive, but barely conscious, at 3% Life Force. Mami looked at him before realising that she needed to finish this job. She got up and walked over to him as he tried desperately to crawl away through his pain and agony. However, Mami picked him up by the scruff of his jacket and used her ribbons to tie him to a nearby tree. Eden opened his eyes as best as he could as Mami smirked, before punching him in the face.

And she punched him again. And again. And again and again and again. Eden was crying his eyes out and bawling some incoherent words to her, but Mami didn't listen to him, instead letting him out of the ribbons and using Eden's own sword to stab him in the guts, causing him to scream in indescribable amounts of pain. She threw Eden and his sword up into the air with her yellow ribbons in pursuit, as she pulled a musket out of her sleeve and took aim down the sights. This next shot had to hit just right. She pulled the trigger, and the bullet shot at the falling body...

...hitting Eden right in the Gaia Crystal in his Life Band, shattering it completely. The now-dead Eden fell with his sword still lodged in his guts, before the ribbons wrapped around him in such a way that...

CRACK!

Mami visibly cringed at the sound of Eden's neck snapping as the ribbons meant he was now hanging from the tree, as if hung with a yellow noose. Mami stared up at her kill, just hanging there as a red mist seeped out of the small crevice in his Life Band that once housed his Gaia Crystal. She felt like she had been there before... but where?

She decided to leave and try and take her mind off it. After all, she didn't really get the chance to get used to this new environment. It might as well be worth having a look, at least until Madoka and the others could get to her.

K.O!

Mami wanders off through The Valley, leaving Eden to hang by the ribbons around his neck, his sword sliding out of his body and landing on the ground nearby.

Results[]

Boomstick: ...Uh...Y'know... I kinda feel... uncomfortable... about that...

Wiz: Eden is a generally consistent and fast warrior, more than capable of handling a basic Mami clone. However, Mami Tomoe herself is in a completely different league of her own, as she far exceeds him in overall combat ability thanks to her weaponry and skill.

Boomstick: Eden may be the chosen one to defend the world, but Mami's guns and what-not trumped Eden's weaponry by a fair bit. Plus, while Eden faced Emperor Harlis on his own and almost died, Mami has faced much more threatening foes in the form of various witches and Magical Girls like Kyoko, and survived to beat them by herself! It also doesn't help that Eden couldn't recognise the Soul Gem as a weak point, despite his Gaia Crystal being one itself and at one point, having it right in his hands. Even if he knew of it being a weakness, chances are he wouldn't take advantage of it due to his pacifist nature.

Wiz: The Warbreaker Suit was definitely impressive, and its alien-metallic exterior offered high resistance to Mami's gunfire, but even then, Candeloro is leagues above the suit and could undoubtedly tear her way through the armour with ease, leaving Eden wide open and at a disadvantage.

Boomstick: "But wouldn't Eden's Gaia Crystal be better than Mami's Soul Gem due to its small size?"

Wiz: Actually... no. While it is true that it would be harder to hit when Eden is a moving target, it doesn't actually protect Eden completely, as Eden can still die to decapitation or have his Life Force manually run out, which essentially makes him an easy target. The Soul Gem, on the other hand, is what keeps Mami going - so long as it's in one piece, she can take pretty much anything she can have thrown at her.

Boomstick: Not to mention her Soul Gem is a lot more concealed! I mean, Eden's Gaia Crystal is easily punchable whereas you wouldn't be able to tell where Mami's Soul Gem is half of the time! Eden only beat the clone just due to sheer luck!

Wiz: Overall, Mami had a counter for pretty much anything Eden could throw at her and had the advantage in overall combat capability, making this result simple and straightforward.

Boomstick: Poor kid... he just didn't have a shot in this fight. I guess Eden's pretty tied up, hanging upside down.

Wiz: The winner is Mami Tomoe.
