Dusknoir (PMD) vs Magolor is a What-If?Death Battle by LakuitaBro01.2
Description:[]
Pokemon vs Kirby! Hailing from another time or space they come in peace and only plan on helping out our protagonist... or do they? Will Dusknoir banish Magolor to the Spirit World? Or Will Magolor blast Dusknoir into Another Dimension?
Interlude:[]
Wiz: Dusknoir, the Gripper Pokemon.
Boomstick: And Magolor, the Halcandrian Magician.
Wiz: The story of betrayal is as old as time itself. From the myths of Greece and the Norse to the story of Judas and Jesus there's always a constant trend of friends betraying others and these two are no exception.
Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skill to see who would win a Death Battle.
Dusknoir:[]
Wiz: The Ghost type Pokemon reign as the scariest Pokemon to roam the Earth. With many serving to steal souls, scare children, drift through walls, and even all three at once sometimes, the Duskull line exists as a gateway to the Pokemon World's Spirit World itself.
Boomstick: Like a chihuahua dressed as a grim reaper, Duskull is an aggressive hunter that will not stop at nothing to claim its target. That is, of course with the exception of daybreak. Given enough time, Duskull will evolve into Dusclops, the nightmare edition of vore turned sentient.
Wiz: Dusclops is essentially a walking black hole that leads to who knows where. When it's traded while holding a Reaper Cloth though it turns into the massive and dreaded Dusknoir. Acting as a sort of ferryman, Dusknoir brings souls to and from the Spirit World as if its the species job.
Boomstick: Being a third stage Pokemon, the average Dusknoir should be comparable to starter Pokemon like Charizard, who can melt entire mountains, or Tyranitar that can topple the tallest mountains just by walking near it!
Wiz: Just another example of how Pokemon can be VERY terrifying. If it was the real world, these adorable, friendly beasts would be absolute monsters for humanity to deal with.
Boomstick: Or they can be a world renowned explorer as is the topical Dusknoir of today's episode! Hailing from lands unknown, Dusknoir is a very popular Pokemon among his peers and has a drive to do good and save the world from evil.
Wiz: But Dusknoir's dark secret is that he hails from the future where the world has become frozen in time and he played a major hand in that coming to fruition under the command of his boss Dialga. Yes. THE Dialga.
Boomstick: Rightfully being afraid that Dialga would erase him from existence due to his newfound God IBS, Dusknoir went back in time to catch Grovyle, a noble Pokemon who was just trying to save the world and was framed as a criminal.
Wiz: Eventually being defeated, Dusknoir would join forces with Grovyle and friends to take down Dialga itself. A fight that definitely turned out in his favor as he got to live on as his own being.
Boomstick: The powers of the Gripper Pokemon really match the grim reaper aesthetic he has going on. In Mystery Dungeon he's shown able to absorb souls just by showing people his belly button, go back and forth between dimensions, can possess empty bodies, and can disable his foes abilities.
Wiz: But he should realistically possess the rest of the abilities the average Dusknoir has, such as the abilities of its previous evolutions like intangibility, invisibility, and the ability to manipulate one's mind. None of this includes the moves Dusknoir can use as well, which ranges from stat amping and stat reducing to power nullifying.
Boomstick: Speaking of moves, Dusknoir has a plethora at its disposal. It can melt into the shadows with Shadow Sneak, box with Shaodw, Fire, Ice, and Thunder Punch, and return the pain right back with Payback! For fighting at a distance, it can use Shadow Ball or Future Sight to really hurt them later.
Wiz: Dusknoir can also nullify his foe's abilities with Disable, make them dizzy with Confuse Ray, burn them with Will O' Wisp, and potentially take whoever it chooses down with it with Destiny Bond. Dusknoir is a truly balanced fighter with many abilities at its disposal, and the power it possesses is incredible as well.
Boomstick: As we said before, due to his status of being a third stage Pokemon he should be comparable to big names like Charizard and Tyranitar, but this darkened Ghostbusters logo? He's a bit above the average Dusknoir.
Wiz: Dusknoir is comparable to Grovyle and fought alongside him and Celebi against Primal Dialga. While Primal Dialga is stated to be weaker than normal Dialga, he was still considered a threat to the Lake Trio, the three of which played key roles in shaping the very multiverse itself. Grovyle fought each one and won.
Boomstick: So being comparable to the top tier legendaries means he should scale to their speed as well, which is possibly INFINITE! How does infinite speed work you might ask? Well, basically it's just going as fast as you like.
Wiz: Yet as mighty as the explorer is, he is not without his faults. Any energy that's ghostly or "dark" in nature is what he's weak due to his status as a Ghost-type Pokemon, and this incarnation of Dusknoir in particular can be pretty arrogant.
Boomstick: But if your status was the Ferryman to the underworld with enough fire power to make the gods themselves fall before you, I'd say arrogance wouldn't be misplaced in that case.

The Pokemon World
The Pokemon World was bustling with activity one beautiful morning, namely in one humble little cliffside town called Treasure Town, home to a guild of Explorers who dedicate their time to helping other Pokemon in need. The recent arrival of a world renowned explorer known as Dusknoir had the entire town excited; it was like being in the presence of a celebrity! Yet at the same time they had to remain vigilant as a criminal named Grovyle was at large, stealing objects known as Time Gears, causing time to crawl to a standstill wherever they're taken.
An expedition was set for the next morning to arrive at Crystal Lake to defend the Lake guardian Azelf from the criminal's attack, and while preparations were being made, Dusknoir was planning out the attack to a T. Yet the Gripper Pokemon's concentration was shattered when a rift in the shape of a star ripped open above the town and out fell a large ship resembling a viking's oarboat careened towards the fields outside the town.
As expected with an event like this, the denizens of Treasure Town went wild with shock and immediately swarmed to the mysterious vessel to see if any inhabitants were injured, if there were any. The façade that Dusknoir had put up made him lead the charge, but deep down he was very much so annoyed with this set back.
The door to the vessel opened for the Pokemon as they ran inside. In the cockpit area of the ship was a single alien laying unconscious, though not seriously hurt from a quick glance. Nonetheless, the healing Pokemon went to work in making sure the visitor was in tip top shape.
"Oh my word! What happened here!" Wigglytuff shouted as he barged into the room.
Dusknoir turned to look at the puffball of a guild leader and sighed.
"It appears an unexpected visitor had to make a crash landing out here. It appears he is okay, however."
Eventually the alien woke up and blinked twice. He had double vision from hitting his head and saw a circular pink shape staring at him from across the cockpit.
"AIYEE!"
He shrieked as he backed away quickly.
"Oh! My good sir! Are you okay!" Wigglytuff shouted towards Magolor.
Words. Those were words. Not a "Poyo" or a "Haaaiiiii" or any sort of gurgled baby-like noises. Those were words. He shook his head, clearing his vision, and realized that he was looking at something DIFFERENT. In fact it was a room full of different THINGS or creatures.
Dusknoir floated towards Magolor and extended a hand to help him up.
"Are you okay, my friend? That seemed like a rough landing to say the least."
Magolor eyed the Ghost Pokemon up and down repeatedly. In a room full of cuddly, bright creatures this one was clearly the odd one out. Regardless, as the alien was already scheming, he needed to keep up with appearances. He took the Gripper's hand and got up to his "feet".
"W-why yes. I am feeling okay. I must've hit my head on the console as I entered this dimension."
Magolor dusted himself off and looked around at the damages. It was very few compared to his last couple of crash landings, but that was for the better he thought. When he turned his gaze back to Dusknoir, he found that the Pokemon was eyeing him suspiciously. Before Magolor could say another word, Wigglytuff erupted at volumes unheard of for Magolor.
"We must feast tonight! Let us dine with our new friend... uhhh... what's your name?"
"...Magolor?" he replied, confused on how accepting this "leader" was.
"Magolor! Come! I will give you the finest of our Perfect Apples!"
With that being said, Magolor, having been fully healed at this point, was whisked away by the others towards Treasure Town. Before Dusknoir had a chance to explore the ship, he too was pulled away by the other Pokemon. He laughed heartily, taking note of a strange faint glow down one of the ship's many corridors on his way out.
Later that Night
The party to celebrate the new friend of Treasure Town was exciting to say the least. The massive feast was accompanied by the music of Kricketunes and even Meloetta to bring about a pretty great party. Magolor did enjoy himself in truth, even if his crash landing seemed to be an excuse to interrupt what seemed to be serious planning with a party.
While everyone was distracted with the party, Dusknoir had more important matters to attend to like snooping around the Lor Starcutter. Using his intangibility to sneak on board, he navigated his way through the ship towards where the glow from earlier that day was originating from. Sealed behind the door was a faint blueish light. Dusknoir phased through the door to find a multitude of what can be described as gears within bubbles.
Dusknoir's eye went wide. This was a Time Gear! Not just one, or two, but a multitude of them! Not only that, but they've lost their color almost completely! Putting the pieces of the puzzle together, Dusknoir realized he could've done something like this before and that he could very much so ruin his plans should Magolor steal even more!
clap... clap... clap
The Pokemon turned to see the Halcandrian standing there, slow clapping at the ghost.
"So you've discovered the Energy Spheres."
"I'm sorry?" Dusknoir questioned, deciding to keep his façade up a little bit longer.
"Energy Spheres. They power my ship and allow me to hop between dimensions as I please."
The Pokemon tensed up. He's been using them to power a ship? And he doesn't even know what they are?
"I know what you're doing here, Magolor."
The magician cocked his head, confused.
BOOM!
A Shadow Ball sent the alien crashing through a far wall, rocking the Lor Starcutter violently. Magolor shook the dust off of himself and looked up at his approaching newfound enemy.
Boss - Kirby and the Forgotten Land
"You've stated you've come from another dimension? You have Time Gears in your possession and you think you can pass them off as some sort of 'Energy Sphere'? You've done SOMETHING to these objects and you are a threat to my mission!"
Magolor teleported out of the way of another Shadow Ball and faced towards the ghost Pokemon.
"You don't know what my plans are, you meathead!" Magolor shouted back, letting his inner personality shine through.
Dusknoir chuckled loudly then stared down his foe with a glare. "I don't plan to find out either!"
