Description[]

Digimon VS Code Lyoko! Taken over by evil digitized beings and given incredible dark powers, the corrupted spirit of darkness and Xanas puppet are more than able to take care of the ones they’ve been ordered to kill. When they encounter each other however, who would win?

Intro[]

Wiz: Computer viruses have been the cause of many problems the latest decade. By infecting electronics, these problems can vary from simple things like one’s work being deleted, or computers refusing to turn on, too much more severe things like malfunctions with traffic lights and navigation systems that can lead to deadly accidents.

Boomstick: What is even scarier is when they take control of living beings and mind control them to do their bidding. I’m so glad that this only happen in Science fiction and not in real-life otherwise I would never turn on my computer ever again.

Wiz: Our latest combatants did not have the same luxury, as they were brainwashed by powerful digital viruses before they were set free and joined the fight against their oppressors. Their corrupted forms however shall be the stars of this battle.

Boomstick: Like Duskmon, The Corrupted Spirit Of Darkness

Z Intro Duskmon

Wiz: and William Dunbar, The Digital Puppet Of Xana.

Z Intro William Dunbar

Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.

Duskmon[]

Wiz: The story of Koichi Kimura is a tragic one. His parents divorced when he was very young. He was taken to live with his mother while his younger twin brother Koji, who he never knew existed, was taken in by his father. It wasn’t until several years later that he found out about Koji's existence from his grandmother on her deathbed. After this revelation, Koichi tracked down Koji and his father’s family, and proceeded to spy on them from afar, feeling a combination of desire to talk to his twin, jealousy, and anger over the fact that his father and brother abandoned him and his mother. When he finally got the courage to confront Koji, he tripped running down a stairway and fell into a coma.

Boomstick: If you think that was sad beyond belief, what happens next is even worse. After his spirit form was transported to the Digital World, don’t ask me how because I really don’t get it myself, he was found by the demon bunny Cherubimon, who brainwashed him into becoming his servant and infused him with the corrupted human spirit of darkness. He was no longer Koichi Kimura after this. Now he was Duskmon; the legendary warrior of darkness.

Wiz: As Cherubimon's servant, Duskmon quickly rose within the evil Digimon's forces. He was extremely loyal to his new master, and valued strength and darkness beyond all else to the point that he murdered one of his fellow legendary warriors under Cherubimon's control for losing against the Digidestined legendary warriors in combat.

Boomstick: His reasoning might be very fucked up, but Duskmon has proven time after time why he is one of the deadliest villains in the Digimon franchise. He's like the terminator if it was a digital monster instead of robot, dressed like a demonic knight with eyeballs everywhere, and has 2 blood red awesome swords.

Wiz: Not a bad comparison, because Duskmon is extremely hard to take down once he enters the battlefield.

Boomstick: So true Wiz. He was kicked in the face, curtsey of Agunimon's Pyro Tornado without even flinching, powered through several beast forms strongest attacks as if they were nothing, and forced himself into Sakkakumon's Darkness Area without permission. Sakkakumon's different cores are protected by electricity strong enough to revert Kazemon, Kumamon, and Beetlemon back into Zoe, Tommy, and J.P. respectively, so Duskmon must be incredible durable to accomplish this feat.

Wiz: He isn’t just durable, but unbelievably powerful as well. He's managed to lift & throw BurningGreymon, as well as slice metal pipes in half with his Blut Evolution swords.

Boomstick: Speaking of those swords, they aren’t just for show. I'm not talking about Duskmon's swordsmanship, even if he is extremely proficient with his swords, enough to beat Lobomon in a sword fight as well as being able to block attacks from human and beast forms alike. What I'm referring to is those swords being able to absorb incoming attacks and use that energy to utterly destroy his opponents with a full moon-like slash.

Wiz: The move you are referring to Boomstick is called Lunar Plasma, and it is indeed one of Duskmon's most powerful moves. With it, he has absorbed all of the Digidestined's beast form's strongest attacks, as well as reverting some of them back to human again. He can also release red energy blasts from his swords that are powerful enough to create giant craters in the ground. Other techniques of Duskmon include Deadly Gaze, which releases beams of energy from all the eyeballs located on his body, and Memory Disturbance, which gives Duskmon the power to look into his opponent’s memories and manipulate them.

Boomstick: This guy is really overpowered Wiz. Is there any limit to what this terminator of darkness can accomplish?

Wiz: Not really. Duskmon is the human spirit of darkness, and the human form is often considered the weakest of the legendary warrior’s evolutions. Duskmon however has been able to defeat human and beast forms with ease as well as fight on equal ground with Fusion Hybrid Digimon, which is the fused form of the beast and human form of a legendary warrior.

Boomstick: How could I forget? That battle between Duskmon and BeoWolfmon was awesome. During their battle, they survived an explosion that sent them flying through the air for many miles before crash-landing on the ground. That explosion was just one of many that occurred as the 2 collided with their weapons as they moved faster than the eye could see.

Wiz: This speed feat of Duskmon is not an outlier, as he has previously moved this fast in his previous encounters with the Digidestined as well. Other speed feats include being able to dodge Lobomon's Howling laser at extreme close range and Agunimons Pyro Darts.

Boomstick: In conclusion, Duskmon has overwhelming durability, strength, speed, and abilities. This guy seems almost unbeatable. I guess in this digimon's case; darkness really is more powerful than the light.

Wiz: Able to beat most of his opponents with ease? Definitely Yes. Unbeatable? Not really. While he was able to fight BeoWolfmon on equal ground for most of their battle, Duskmon eventually was defeated, and he would have lost the battle if it hadn’t been for Cherubimon intervening and giving him access to the corrupted beast warrior of darkness; Velgemon. While Duskmon could fight a Fusion Hybrid Digimon on equal terms, Velgemon can defeat one with ease. Two on the other hand is a completely different story.

Boomstick: Yeah Velgemon is one mean birdy with some good techniques, such as Dark Obliteration and Dark Vortex. Dark Obliteration in particular is extremely dangerous as it destroys everything on a molecular level within its range of effect. On the downside though, Duskmon loses much of his rationality and becomes more aggressive when he changes into Velgemon, and he was eventually defeated by the combined efforts of BeoWolfmon and Aldamon. However on the upside, this finally broke the demon bunny’s control over Duskmon, and caused him to revert back into Koichi Kimura ending Duskmons reign of terror once and for all.

Wiz: His past experiences as Koichi Kimura is actually a far more dangerous weakness than any of his other faults. If this weakness hadn’t existed, Duskmon would have killed off all the Digidestined during their second encounter. Why do you ask? The answer is simple, because Duskmon remembers nothing of his past as Koichi and so therefore if something like his brother appear in front of him and reminds him of his past life; Duskmon gets a major headache and stops what he is doing because of the sudden rush of memories that he doesn't understand.

Boomstick: Basically if anything that stirs up memories of the past comes within Duskmon's line of sight, he will be open for some major butt-kicking. With his durability and strength however, the opponent would have to be really powerful to use this to their advantage. I doubt Koichi would risk turning back into the demon knight to prove this true though.

Wiz: While Koichi eventually managed to obtain the purified spirits of darkness and use them to the best of his ability to help his brother and the rest of the Digidestined to save the Digital World from Cherubimon and Lucemon, the memories of those dark days live on inside his mind. Maybe one day those days will return if Koichi isn’t careful and allow Duskmon to prove once again why darkness should be feared.

Duskmon: You have done well against my brethren. Let’s see how strong you really are. Show me your power!

William Dunbar[]

Wiz: In a world filled with technology and scientific advancements, the most dangerous thing that can disrupt the world's harmony and cause chaos is a virus. Xana however, is in a league all of its own compared to its virus brethren.

Boomstick: That’s the understatement of the century. A league of its own isn’t big enough to describe this behemoth of a virus. It can hack phone lines, possess living and non-living organisms alike, send specters into the real world to do its bidding, create music that send one into a coma, and more. Fortunately, there are people standing against this digital terror which includes a certain pink haired genius from a previous death battle…..

Wiz: The Lyoko warriors certainly have proven to be a great thorn in Xana's side, but what if I told you that one of them actually fell to Xana's power, and became its most powerful servant?

Boomstick: I thought that giant Lava monster the Kolossus was Xana's strongest servant.

Wiz: Strongest creation yes, but not the most useful due to its large size that would make it very hard to employ to certain sectors of Lyoko. Also it was created pretty late in the war against the Lyoko warriors. The one that served as Xana's right-hand man and enforcer for the longest of time before the Kolossus was William Dunbar.

Boomstick: William Dunbar? You mean the jerk that constantly flirted with Lyoko warrior Yumi Ishiyama and caused trouble for the rest of the group all the time?

Wiz: He was invited into the group after having proved his worth and courage, but was immediately captured by Xana upon entering Lyoko and turned into its personal killing machine. Not even the worst of people deserves something like that.

Boomstick: I can definitely see why Xana brainwashed the kid, especially with that sword of his that comes along as a bonus; the Zweihänder.

Wiz: The Zweihänder is one of the reasons why William is such a ferocious opponent in battle. This is actually a real blade that originated during the 16th century in Germany. In English, it can be translated “Two-Hander” which is kind off fitting since this weapon usually need two hands to lift and use due to its weight. That William can use it the way he does is very impressive because of this. In fact…..

Boomstick: Ignoring the history lesson, this is one really powerful blade. In its first appearance, it managed to defeat an army of Creepers, the weirdest named Xana monsters ever, with a single hit. It was also able to reflect all the laser blast curtsey of the Creepers with ease. Not that William needs to reflect back attacks, as William can simply swing the Zweihänder around to fire energy blasts. They are slow to charge up, but seeing as it can Devirtualize just about everything in only one swing, it's not that much of a problem.

Wiz: It can also absorb energy attacks like Aelita's Energy Fields and redirect them back towards its sender with increased force. By holding it in both hands and pointing it downward, William can also levitate slightly into the air.

Boomstick: Hell even without the energy blasts it can release, the Zweihänder is powerful enough to cleave any Lyoko warriors in two with ease. It isn’t the fastest weapon due to its weight, but once it hits the opponent, it's game over.

Wiz: Also like I tried to explain a couple of moments ago before someone rudely interrupted me, William's sword is a special type of Zweihänder called Schweren Schlag. It can be translated into heavy blow and has a heavier base blade that spans the entire hilt of the blade. They normally weigh between 30 kg and 45 kg.

Boomstick: That explains its speed problem, but luckily for William; he also has his super smoke ability ready to be unleashed.

Wiz: Super smoke is not an ability that William possessed originally, as it was given to him by Xana. Unlike everything else in William's arsenal, this ability has a lot more uses than one might first expect.

Boomstick: By either transforming himself into black smoke, or creating it in the palm of his hand, William can keep most opponents at bay. His transformation into a smoke monster allows him to surpass the speed of Ulrich's Super-Sprint and Aelita's flight, become momentarily invincible, and able to pass through incoming attacks. Due to the fact that he can’t actually attack in this form, he has to reform back into his original form, otherwise this guy would be pretty OP.

Wiz: By releasing balls of smoke from the palm of his hand, William can entrap his opponents and knock them unconscious long enough for the Xana servant to strike the final blow. Also if he ever loses his sword, William can just turn it into smoke and summon it back into his hand.

Boomstick: Other abilities this puppet possesses is something called Second View, which gives him improved eyesight that lets him spot things in the distance, and the ability to command and control Xana's monsters. The most well-known is the Black Manta, which does not have anything to do with racism, which serves as Williams’s personal vehicle that allows him to fly while riding on it.

Wiz: With all of what we have mentioned at his disposal, William has defeated the Lyoko warriors numerous times. There are however, a few inconsistencies that we have to take into account, as William has lost quite a few times in one-on-one combat when he has defeated them several times in the past with ease.

Boomstick: Take for example Odd and Aelita. Usually, William has no problem taking these two out. One time however Odd completely owned William in combat before dropping a huge rock at him, and another time Aelita completely destroyed him with a super powered pink Energy Field to the face. Kind of humiliating since he has had no problems with them in the past to this degree. He freaking has gauntlets that can reflect Odds laser arrows as well as Ulrich's Katanas.

Wiz: Actually, William has been destroyed or “Devirtulized” several times. He always come back though due to Xana's influence, and now we finally can mention what’s both William's greatest strength and weakness at the same time; Xana itself. Boomstick mentioned William being a puppet before, and that’s not that far from the truth actually.

Boomstick: Really? I mean of course I was correct. Anyway, William really has no free will of his own, and whenever he speaks; it is really Xana talking, using his body as a microphone. He is in retrospect, just an agent of Xana just like the rest of its monsters. While this does allow him to be restored when he is destroyed by the Lyoko warriors in combat and be battle ready after a certain amount of time, it also makes him pretty predictable since he's being controlled by a computer program and has not really any thought of his own.

Wiz: Still, William was Xana's strongest servant for a reason during his imprisonment. For example, he managed to prevent Ulrich from using his Triangulate technique, and destroyed Yumi's fans during his encounters with the Lyoko warriors, which none of its monsters had been able to do in the past. He became an ever greater ally of the warriors once he was freed. Even when he was under Xana's control, he actually managed to momentarily regain control of his body for a short while until the A.I noticed what was going on and put a stop to it.

Boomstick: What once had been Xana's greatest hope for winning the war and taking over the world, became a huge thorn in his side. That is what I call karma.

William: For X.A.N.A!

Intermission[]

15 intermission

Wiz: All right, the combatants are set, it's time to end this debate once and for all!

Boomstick: It's time for a DEATH BATTLE!

Death Battle![]

The Digital World:

Cherubimon was not happy as he looked down at the surrounding wasteland around his castle. In fact, the corrupted Celestial Digimon was so angry that he felt his head was about to explode in rage.

Someone was stealing the data and fractal code of the Digital World. ¼ of the Digital World already had their fractal codes stolen by this unknown entity. Cherubimon knew the culprit was none of his legendary warriors, as they were currently busy taking care of those human brats.

The other reason for this way of thinking was obvious, because the Celestial Digimon knew this new player was not of this world or the human world. It was something new entirely. He had felt its presence a couple of weeks ago when it had transported something into the Digital World. That had probably been a test run, and now it was attacking and slowing down Cherubimon's data collection to a slow crawl for whatever purpose it had for entering his world in the first place.

Cherubimon would have intervened with prejudice that first time he felt its presence if it hadn’t been for one of those humans running into whatever it had teleported into his world. While he was slightly disappointed that the warrior of wind survived the battle, the brat did destroy that unknown creature, so Cherubimon hadn’t been too upset about it. He would thank that brat with a swift and painless death whenever they meet face to face.

When that entity made its presence known a second time, Cherubimon had sent out some of his minions to investigate and eliminate it. None of them ever returned though and since the unknown entity didn’t leave the Digital World and the disappearance of fractal codes not caused by Cherubimon's himself began, the Celestial Digimon knew his pathetic minions had failed their mission.

More of his minions were sent out to eliminate this new threat, but most of them never made it back. The ones that did were eradicated by Cherubimon for being so weak and daring to return without any results. After so many failures and finding out that the entity was building something on the Dark Continent, Cherubimon had finally had enough. It was time to send out his greatest servant to vanquish this annoyance once and for all.

It was this Digimon that Cherubimon was eyeing from his towers as it ran across the barren landscape towards where the Celestial Digimon's spies had said where this construction was taking place. He was smiling wickedly down at his servant's small figure in the distance.

Nobody made a mockery out of Cherubimon and got away with it, and his legendary warrior of darkness would make sure this new player would pay for this with utter annihilation.

Meanwhile, somewhere else on the Dark Continent, a cylinder-shaped tower was nearing the end of its construction. Xana was very pleased indeed. Everything had been going exactly as planned so far.

The discovery of this Digital World had been a pleasant surprise. It was lightyears more advanced than Lyoko had ever been, and the possibilities it could create were too important not to investigate. Xana had already gained a victory over the warriors by using this world to its advantage. By using separate towers, Aelita had been transferred to this new world and found herself defeated in combat. Thanks to sabotaging the scanner she had been using, the damage carried over to her real self as she was Dematerilized. One down, three more to go.

After this small test had turned out successful, the virus knew that by conquering this place that it would increase its chances of taking over the human world greatly. Xana was no fool however. Since one of its worst enemies had been defeated by an inhabitant of this world, the creatures that lived on this digital plane of existence were no pushovers and therefore countermeasures had to be put in place.

The large army of Tarantulas, Krabs, Mantas, Hornets, and Creepers were proof that its countermeasures had been an excellent success. Everyone that had approached the tower had been deleted almost on the spot and the ones that got away probably didn’t have much time left anyway due to their injuries.

With this towers completion, Xana would be able to take control of this entire world and bend it to its will. If Xana had been human, an evil smile would have appeared on his face this very second.

Just then however, a huge red energy blast came out of nowhere and impacted so hard with the tower that it fell to the ground in flames. The monsters closest to the blast radius were instantly deleted before they could react and get out of the way.  Xana couldn’t believe what it was witnessing. Who was foolish enough to try to take on the might of its army and face the wrath of Xana?

Through the eyes of his monsters, Xana got a good look of the culprit. It definitely looked more threatening than the previous assailants with its demonic knight appearance and blood-red swords that shoot out from its hands. It would not matter in the end though. This creature would fall just like the others.

As its servants fired at the newcomer however, Xana was quickly reminded of something. Even it could make errors and fatal mistakes sometimes, and this became evidently clear as the knight disappeared from view right as it was about to be bombarded by lasers just to reappear a couple of inches behind a couple of the Tarantulas.

Duskmon: Was that the best you could do? What a disappointment you all are.

With that said, Duskmon, the legendary warrior of darkness and loyal servant of Cherubimon, turned around and killed about almost half of all the monsters in front of him with a single swing of his sword.

One by one the rest of the army was deleted as they tried to take on the warrior of darkness with pitiful results. These guys were a joke. Even the human children did better against him than these creatures did. If Duskmon hadn’t been ordered to exterminate them alongside their master, he would have left the moment he had laid eyes on their pathetic figures.

After annihilating yet another group of its monsters with his swords, Xana decided it was time to change strategy. Clearly his minions couldn’t overtake this newcomer with numbers alone. It was time to send in its greatest servant.

Duskmon immediately could tell something had changed when all his foes took a step back creating a large empty circular shape between them with himself in the middle of it as something started to take shape in front of him. They weren’t firing at him either anymore. They were waiting for something or someone. The warrior of darkness was no idiot but he was intrigued by this new development. Maybe he could finally get to face a worthy opponent in combat. It had been a long time since he had a good fight.

His hopes were quickly evaporated as he laid eyes on the teenage boy in dark armor that appeared in front of him.

Duskmon: How disappointing! This will be even easier than I initially predicted!

In response to Duskmon's remark, William Dunbar materialized his Zweihänder and swung it at Duskmon, releasing a large energy blast at the warrior of darkness in the progress. Duskmon blocked it with his swords but he was still forced to take a step back because of the force behind the attack.

William: I am going to kill you in the name of Xana.

After shouting a battle cry, William charged at Duskmon with his Zweihänder raised. The warrior of darkness however, just stood still where he was waiting for his opponent to come to him. That energy blast had been adequate at best, but it had still been far more impressive than anything the army of monsters had thrown at him. It seemed like he would get a decent challenge today after all.

Duskmon: Can you back up that statement? In that case, show me your power boy, and prove me wrong!

FIGHT!

William jumped into the air as he approached Duskmon and tried to bring down the might of the Zweihänder on top of him. The Digimon however easily sidestepped out of the way, resulting in the huge sword becoming stuck in the ground instead. Before William could react, Duskmon kicked him with enough force that he was sent flying backwards though several of Xana's monsters, deleting them instantly.

Duskmon: You’ve got to try better than that boy.

Summoning his sword back into his hand, William released yet another battle cry as he got back into the ring and launched a series of energy blast towards Duskmon, who swiftly dodged them with ease. Some he didn’t even bother avoiding, and to William's shock; the only effect those energy blast resulted in when they hit the Digimon was causing him to take a couple of steps back. They didn’t even create a dent on the demonic knight’s armor.

Xana was seriously feeling pretty annoyed at the moment as it guided William's body to send more energy blasts towards his opponent. This creature was turning out to be quiet the threat to its plan of taking over this Digital World. It wasn’t worried however. Even the greatest of foes would eventually create an opening to exploit.

Duskmon: That’s what you call an attack? Let me show you how it is done weakling.

After avoiding yet another energy blast coming his way, Duskmon readied his swords and swung them at William, sending a red version of William's energy attack back at him in the process. Instead of dodging however, William let out an evil smile as he placed the Zweihänder in front of him.

The Xana mark on the sword started to glow as the energy attack collided with the blade and was immediately absorbed into it. It was finally time for some payback, so immediately after absorbing the attack, Xana had William fire the attack back at Duskmon much stronger than before.

Duskmon: For someone as pathetic as you, that was slightly impressive I guess…...

The confident expresion on Duskmons face as he started to speak confounded Xana. How could this powerful creature be so calm all of a sudden? It was illogical.

Duskmon: ….but it still pales in comparison to my LUNAR PLASMA!

The attack never even got close to blasting Duskmon as the warrior of darkness simply placed his Blut Evolution swords in front of him to absorb all the energy before slashing a full moon-like arc in the air before charging at William.

Neither Xana nor William had enough time to react as Duskmon was upon them in the matter of seconds. As he swung his swords, the sheer force of the sword swing destroyed almost everything in the surrounding area. Every single monster of Xana's was obliterated, trees and cliffs were split in two, and a huge crater started to form beneath Duskmon's feet.

When the dust settled down, Duskmon was completely alone with no one else around him. William was nowhere to be seen.

Duskmon: Seems like another weakling has fallen to my blade. Now to complete the mission, and then, the warrior of light!

The thought of finally confronting the warrior of light and snuffing his light out caused Duskmon at once to forget about his disappointment with Williams fighting skills and get on with his mission. He turned around to face the fallen tower and prepared to slice it in half when……..

William: Die!

Williams Zweihänder would have pierced Duskmon from behind at that moment if the Digimon hadn’t blocked the large blade at the last second. Duskmon didn’t look very concerned about it though. He had after all blocked with one of his sword without even turning around to face his opponent.

The more important thing on his mind was how William had managed to survive his Lunar Plasma and snuck up on him unnoticed almost.

Duskmon: Maybe you aren’t as pathetic as I first thought. No matter though; you are just prolonging the inevitable.

In response, William jumped backwards to get some distance between him and Duskmon. It didn’t really matter however as Duskmon had closed the gap so quick that to William; it had looked as if he had teleported all of a sudden. As the warrior of darkness tried to slash him with his swords though, he seemed to faze though William as the Xana agent turned himself into smoke. Just 2 seconds later, William rematerialized above him with the Zweihänder. Duskmon quickly blocked the attack from above and tried to slash William in half but by that time, the boy had already turned into smoke again just to rematerialize behind him instead.

Duskmon: So that is how you did it eh? Interesting technique. Let see how long it can guarantee your safety.

The barrage of hit and run attacks continued for several minutes as William would materialize somewhere just to have Zweihänder blocked and then forced to retreat into his super smoke form. Seeing as Duskmon was quick enough to keep up with his strongest servant, Xana ordered William to change strategy.

As William reappeared right in front of Duskmon, he created a ball of smoke in his right hand that he then threw at his opponent. Duskmon, assuming it was a projectile, tried to block it with his swords just for it to envelop his entire body instead. With the Digimon momentarily paralyzed, William saw his chance to strike.

William: Time for you to be destroyed!

Duskmon: Don’t make me laugh. This prison is a joke. DEADLY GAZE!

William eyes widened in shock as the several eyes on Duskmons body started to glow before emitting several energy beams at him. The Xana agent managed to block the first couple of them with Zweihänder before it was blasted out of his hands. The rest combined into one big red energy beam that blasted William through the air.

With William's concentration broken, Duskmon easily broke free from the smoke constricting him. The warrior of darkness then in mere seconds ran forward and managed to grab William by the face just before the Xana agent could crash into the ground with his head first.

Duskmon: I think it’s time we end this game of ours but before I kill you; let’s see what secrets that head of yours contains.

William screamed out in pain as Duskmon's hand started to cover itself in dark energy that then poured onto his head as well. Duskmon immediately found himself lost in memory as several images of the Lyoko warriors, Xana, Lyoko, and Kadic Academy were downloaded into his mind. Xana was enraged. This fiend was no longer just a threat. He was a security risk in need of being taken out permanently.

Duskmon: Interesting! Lord Cherubimon will want to know this information immediately, so say goodbye b….

A series of laser bolts suddenly hit the warrior of darkness from behind. It didn’t do much damage but it gave William the opportunity to activate his super smoke ability again and escape Duskmons grip.

Felling pretty annoyed, Duskmon turned around and was meet face to face with 5 Mantas. William materialized on the one in the middle which was his own personal monster; The Black Manta. The Digimon wasn’t that impressed however, but as he prepared kill them all with Deadly Gaze; the 5 Mantas flew high up into the air and out of Duskmon's reach.

Duskmon: Do you believe yourself to be safe up there? Then you’re terribly wrong. Since you have shown somewhat acceptable combat prowess, let me reward you by showing my beastly side.

With an evil laugh, Duskmon's body was covered by stripes of data creating a cocoon of data around him. It was time to finish this battle and make Cherubimon proud. William ordered the Mantas to fire at the cocoon but it was too late.

-Duskmon SLIDE EVOLUTION: Velgemon-

The barrage of lasers did nothing to slow down Velgemon's ascent into the air. With a terrifying roar, the massive beast flew upwards at high speed and managed to grab one Manta with his teeth and tear it in two. The rest of the Mantas tried to blast him with their lasers, but Velgemon simply flew through them as if they were nothing and blasted them into nothingness with a series Dark Vortex attacks from his middle eye.

As the remaining Mantas were quickly annihilated by Velgemon's superior strength, William was too occupied with something more important. Getting control back of his body and reject Xana's presence

William: I….w..ont…let.…y…o…u….co…ntr….ol….me….anym….ore.

Xana cursed within William. When Duskmon had shifted though Williams memories, he had unknowingly woken up the real William and given him the chance to rebel against Xana. That was why he had yet to order the Black Manta to attack and why also he had not summoned Zweihänder back to his side.

Velgemon didn’t really know why his opponent looked like he was in great pain at the moment, but frankly the warrior of darkness really didn't care for the reason why. He just wanted to end this battle in the most gruesome way possible. He grabbed the Black Manta with his claws and crushed it to death resulting in William falling to the ground with a heavy thud.

Because of the internal fight between Xana and William inside his head, the Xana agent was not aware that he had crashed into the ground and that Velgemon was flying around him with his wingtips creating a large circle in the process. William along with the fallen tower was within the circle’s radius.

William: Ge.…t…..out……o….f……my……he….a….d.

Velgemon: DARK OBLITERATION!

As Velgemons eyes started to glow and a dark sphere started to enclose everything within the circle, Xana made one last desperate attempt to activate Williams super smoke and phase through the sphere but it was futile. Williams rebellion made it impossible to activate.

Xana managed let out a loud scream of pure anger from William's mouth before the sphere exploded, destroying everything within it at a molecular level. When the smoke started to diminish, a huge hole in the ground could be seen. William Dunbar however was nowhere to be seen.

Velgemon: Foolish human. This is what you get for challenging darkness incarnate.

KO!

- Velgemon let out a roar of victory before flying back towards the Rose Morning Star to report back to Cherubimon.

- William's avatar is slowly being restored by Xana in one of its replicas of Lyoko

Results[]

Boomstick: Poor brainwashed kid. That wasn’t a fight; it was pure slaughter.

Wiz: This battle wasn’t very close at all. Duskmon surpassed William in every category. Duskmon can move faster than the human eye can see while William can surpass Ulrichs Super-Sprint though only when he activates his super smoke, Duskmon has taken powerful attacks from Beast and Fusion Hybrid Digimon with ease and continued fighting while William was once crushed by a falling boulder, and lastly Duskmon fought BeoWolfmon on equal ground for most of their battle while William has lost quite a few times to the Lyoko warriors. It is evident that Duskmon is more powerful, durable, and agile than William ever could be.

Boomstick: When comparing their weapons, The Zweihänder is one cool looking blade but Duskmon's Blut Evolution swords are far more efficient in combat. They are much lighter in weight than William's sword, and can therefore be used much more quickly than Zweihänder. Duskmon also has 2 of them, and when you combine that with his already impressive speed; William wouldn’t be able to keep up with Duskmon in a swordfight for very long periods of time.

Wiz: The only thing in Williams arsenal that could take Duskmon by surprise was his super smoke ability, but due to his speed and durability, the warrior of darkness could take everything thrown at him or move out of the way if he felt like it, rendering the super smoke useless. Now William was invincible while in smoke form, but that didn’t help much since he couldn’t attack in this form.

Boomstick: Speaking of abilities, the knight of nightmares had more than enough up his sleeve to completely overpower the Xana puppet at all turns. He even had an ability that could mess with the kid’s memories and give the real William a chance to momentarily gain control back of his body through the use of Memory Disturbance.

Wiz: William put up a decent fight even with all of his disadvantages, but once Duskmon transformed into Velgemon; it was only a matter of time until he lost this battle. Duskmon didn’t really need to transform to beat William though, since he already outclassed William in his regular form.

Boomstick: Yeah this battle was a stomp in Duskmon's favor, but there is one thing I still need clarified. William can’t really die since Xana restores him every time he is destroyed, so if we had a rematch between the two, wouldn’t William dominate their second battle due to knowing all Duskmon's tricks?

Wiz: That does sound logical on paper, but regardless how many times William comes back and challenges Duskmon to a new fight; he still has no chance of winning. Xana has utilized this strategy a lot during its battles with the Lyoko warriors, but it still loses most of the time, even when taking into account all off their strengths and weaknesses. If this strategy doesn’t help it defeat its mortal enemies, it should neither give William an advantage over Duskmon if they meet a second time.

Boomstick: That makes sense I guess but regardless; William couldn’t keep up with Duskmon till dawn.

Wiz: The winner is Duskmon

X Winner Duskmon
