Misao Kanonji, known by his stage name Misaomaru, is a popular spirit medium who hosts a television show called Casual Soul Realm Assault Trip.

Kanonji has a high enough level of spiritual power, able to sense a Menos entering Karakura Town while almost thirty kilometers away. Kanonji's weapon of choice is the Super Spirit Stick, which he uses shocks the enemy by infusing it infused with spiritual energy. He can completely destroy a lesser Hollow with this technique. His attacks are Kan'onji-Style Final Super Attack: Kan'onball and Golden Kan'onball.
