Springtrap Foxy: Welcome back!! Last time on Death Battle, there was Dino Mania as the main carnivorous theropods from Jurassic Park, Jurassic World, Mantah Corp. Island and the mainland brawled in the Rocky Mountains, leaving our Spino in critical health. He's healing, here at our observatory on Mount Coronet, as we prepare our God of Antimatter and Distortion, Giratina, to square off in a battle of mind-breaking madness against Discord, spirit of Chaos and Disharmony. We analyze, scrutinize, and weaponize our combatants for a Death Battle!!
Giratina drags Death Battle into the Distortion World![]
S.F.: No dragon gets as heavy metal as the box art legend for Pokemon Platinum!! Giratina in its altered, insectoid form is 1.6 THOUSAND POUNDS, almost a ton! Giratina is strong enough to withstand Palkia and Dialga, and its very concept balances the universe!! And in addition, the Ghost typing stops Pokemon such as Koraidon and Arceus (base form) from using really good Fighting type moves and Normal type moves! However, Ghost and Dragon is a double edged sword. Dragon is only strong against Dragon, and Ghost is strong against Ghost! Its portals can destroy the world, and it can manipulate the "real" world from the Distortion World! In Origin Forme, this dragon grows longer, loses its legs, and gets lighter!!

S.F.: Giratina has been done dirty in the past. It has fought Arceus on many occasions and still loses, even with Palkia and Dialga against a weakened Arceus. Its wings in Origin Forme function as tentacles as well as dangerous weapons, as they have blood-red spines on them in non-shiny form. It is a very violent Pokemon, and it scares everyone so hard, they literally call it "the one whose name is never to be spoken"! That is scarier than Kyurem, who is thought to eat village children! Giratina can be turned on others with reasoning, as Volo convinced the Demon Pokemon to turn on Arceus! It still lost to a child who had no idea about their past! Now, for the other combatant!

Discord messes around with Death Battle![]
S.F.: This here is Discord, a prehistoric creature known as a draconequus, which roughly translates to dragon horse in some languages. Discord is much more than these two animals however. He has a horse-like head, the body and left hand of an eagle or other bird of prey, a lion's paw, a goat hoof, a dinosaur leg, and a fish-like dragon tail. What a mix and match!! This random combination fits the spirit of disharmony quite well. He is-

Giratina: Be quiet, uncivilized cretin, and let the man talk!!
S.F.: Anyways, as I was saying, he is pretty darn old, the best sources are able to come up with his age is prehistoric! He has been the ruler of Equestria before, having only been bested by Celestia, Luna, and the Mane 6! However, he can be outsmarted, as shown with Lord Tirek, an evil centaur and demonic tyrant!
Feats[]
- Can pull large objects as if they were lighter than air
- (Comic Feat) Can launch others through the atmosphere with one kick
- Outsped Luna, who can fly to the moon and back in mere minutes
- Can overpower those stronger than him (as with Cosmos, his former girlfriend)
- Small amount of magic returned Tirek to his second form
- Unharmed after slamming into the planet at terminal velocity
- Can create alternate dimensions, and at one point influenced the insides of Celestia upon making an active volcano
- Can pull others through time, and even after they've been completely obliterated
- Can control both the sun and moon, even when Celestia and Luna are in charge of that
- Beat both princesses on more than one occasion
Flaws[]
- If he is "normal" or not using his chaos powers, he can phase out of existence
- He can die
- Had his powers taken away
- Can be defeated with the Elements of Harmony, and has been twice
- Overconfident and greedy
- Vulnerable to other magical attacks
- Sometimes doesn't even try to block or at least dodge attacks fatal or lethal to him
- Not much experience in combat, he tends to avoid it unless prompted
- Suffers from Plot-Induced Stupidity, making true intelligence debatable
Pre-Battle[]
Attention, all!! This fight has some characteristics that will be non-canon, such as the worship of Arceus in Equestria, and this fight will have events from a currently non-existing page, namely the revival of Celestia and Luna from a fight that was going to happen before this, which is Palkia and Dialga vs. Celestia and Luna. This battle will also take place in battles that have been posted outside of the Fanon wiki by Naganadel King of the Stars.
It was a beautiful day, and the Mane 6 and Discord were setting up for a festival. Applejack had brought lots of fruit, especially Discord's massive golden apple, which Fluttershy had planted and raised just for him. Discord stretched, and pulled out his apple. "You know, after fighting and helping you guys so much, I don't want to be a bad guy. You ponies have taught this rusty old draconequus the right way to live." Suddenly, all the ponies in Ponyville saw the sky turn black. When the sky was blue again, an insectoid demon had taken all the fruit, including the apple of Discord. Discord fluttered up to the marauding myriapod. "Hello there. There was a particular apple that belonged to a certain gentle-horse around here." The dragon proceeded to use its tongue to carve the apple core right out of the apple, and threw away the good part. "I am truly sorry about that. I remember, a time before time, when the life-forms of this realm used to thank gods like myself with such delightful treats. I would bring some back for the others, but they are just too delicious." Discord saw the grotesque carving about to happen to his gift from Fluttershy. "Please leave that particular apple alone please. It was a gift." "I am so sorry, let's just say you owe me this amazing specimen, because I've been STARVED for centuries, and this was a gift of compensation..." Discord stole his apple back and swallowed it whole, "I beg your pardon, Equestria doesn't owe anything to you. Now scram before you make me mad." Giratina glared, and back handed Discord with his wing, and Giratina got to his feet.
Fight!![]
(Discord begins playing)
Discord grabbed Giratina's tail and swung him, Mario style-STRAIGHT INTO THE CROWD!! Giratina's weight killed a few ponies-including Discord's best friend, Fluttershy. Spike survived the impact, but was struggling to get free of Giratina's bulk. Discord realized his mistake, and sobbed. Giratina, having shreds of a heart, plucked a boquet of roses and put it on the bloodied blond smear that used to be the member of the Mane 6. Discord and Giratina both stood there, taking the time to honor the sweet little buttercup. The moment abruptly ended when Discord shot a piano at Giratina. "HOW DARE YOU! STEAL MY FOOD, ON MY STAGE, AT THE FESTIVAL I HELPED MAKE! I WILL END YOU!" Laughing was heard from the rubble. "BOLD OF YOU TO ASSUME I WAS FINISHED. YOU WILL KNOW TRUE PAIN AFTER I DRAG YOU THROUGH THE INFINITE HELLS!" Giratina erupted from the rubble and tackled Discord into an Ultra Wormhole.
Sub-Battle: Estinieen vs. Pearl[]
Location: Idyllshire, on the edge of Snowcloak and Camp Dragonhead...
The Ultra Wormhole led above the dueling lancers, subsequently leading to Discord judo-flipping the Distortion Dragon straight onto Pearl, who was too distracted. "Oof! Little help, elf?" Estinien grudgingly agreed, pulling the Crystal Gem out from under the errant ender. Giratina didn't notice or care. Discord dived in the snow drift, when Giratina stomped his body into a pulp. Before the Great Unnamed One could finish him, Ghost Discord time-warped this reality back 10 minutes.
Sub-Battle: Nidhogg vs. Rayquaza[]
Location: The Aery...
Rayquaza saw Discord as he re-attained a physical form. Discord teamed with Rayquaza, and the draconequus shot Nidhogg with a finger-gun. The shadow wyrm fell, but rose with his new ally, none other than Giratina. The two sides rushed each other, resulting in Giratina impaling Rayquaza and blasting his corpse with Dragon Pulse, as Discord dropped the Empire State Building on Nidhogg. The reality around them collapsed as the fabric of space-time was undone with the death of Rayquaza and Nidhogg. The two were left floating in the infinite void that was once there. Discord snarled and launched some flying pigs at Giratina, who threw Bidoof to block them. The projectiles were blown up mid-strike by Giratina with a Dragon Pulse, who didn't care for Bidoof anyways. The Dragon Pulse hit Discord in the mouth, causing him to bloat. Giratina then poked the balloon with a Dragon Claw, causing Discord to go ghost. Ghost Discord grew massive, and threw Giratina into a random portal.
This portal turned out to be an alternate Steven Universe timeline, and Giratina slammed straight into the Injector, knocking Spinel from her perch. The Injector shattered, spraying the glowing ooze evrywhere. Some of the venom hit Giratina in the face, and though Poison does .5x damage to Ghost, the venom burnt Giratina's face, leaving half of his once smooth face a smoldering wasteland of smoldering flesh. Giratina cloaked his wing claws with Shadow Claw, and began slicing Ghost Discord, the most hellish way of making sushi. What was left of his ghost escaped into the rubble. The rocks became alive and flew at Giratina, who shot Aura Spheres at the rubble, but couldn't keep up in his sluggish Altered Forme. The shrapnel kept coming at him, so Giratina backed up, using his wings as a shield, inadvertedly killing Spinel by accidentally stomping on her and crushing her gem, but who cares?
Giratina reacted by vanishing. Ghost Discord created a portal to the Distortion World. When he went through, the portal shut behind him. More portals were opened around Discord, and the severely Joltik-ed off Giratina laughed at the situation. "My, my, how the hero has fallen. Couldn't you just grow more apples? This really was avoidable had you not over-reacted." Discord yelled back into the void. "You nincompoop of a god! Why can't you just leave me alone? I was having the best day until you showed up!" Giratina emerged from one of the portals. "You will be lucky, Discord, to see my coup de grace. I only show this to other Legendaries, but I suppose I could make an exception. THIS IS SHADOW FORCE!!" Giratina slammed into Discord and went through the portals, striking him from every angle, until Discord grabbed his head. "This has gone on a little too long. IT'S MY TURN." Discord scratched Giratina, and shouted, "KAMEHAMEHA!" damaging Giratina.
Discord took him back to Ponyville, and popped Giratina's wings away, just as he had done with Twilight and her magic horn. Discord kicked Giratina straight through the atmosphere, and kept beating him up. They sailed straight past the sun, and Giratina noticed a little glimmer. He grabbed the errant object, and it was his Griseous Core! The now serpentine Giratina regrew his wings, and threw the asteroid belt at Discord. Discord used his chaos abilities and pulled out the Shieka Slate, pausing the rocky objects and sending them back. The chaos continued, until Dscord walked in front of the projection, and menacingly threatened the author of this page, Naganadel. "You really can't make a proper Death Battle, you lazy Phyrexian! Let me-" "DISCORD!! I'M GOING TO KICK YOUR ASS!" Giratina escaped the projection and tackled Discord. Giratina used Draco Meteor to pin Discord, and Toxic to poison him, but it wasn't Toxic. It was actually the Blue Flu! Discord tried his best, attacking Giratina with everything his chaos could get him, but the Blue Flu took a toll on Discord's stamina. Giratina, who was in the red, slowly petrified him, and leaned to Discord. "Nice try, but I have one little secret, and yes, the floor is lava. My secret is...I am not the true Giratina." "Wh-what!?" "I am one iteration out of billions of Giratina, each their own reality, each with their own Arceus. I am not real. Neither are you. Goodbye Discord..." Giratina impaled the dragon, whose screams shook the burning remnants of the theater. "End scene!!!" The whole battle was staged! Discord shook off his "petrification" and "Blue Flu" and Giratina wiped his face, clearing the "acid". Behind them, the apples, Fluttershy, and Spinel, among others, were revealed from the back stage, clearly not knowing they were resurrected. The fires were extinguished, and Giratina drained the lava into the Distortion World.
K.O.!![]
Giratina is seen talking to Discord and Fluttershy, when he suddenly turns and flies into a portal. Fluttershy turns to Discord and asks, "Where is Mr. Satan going?" Discord laughs and rubs her head. "He just needs to go run an errand." He is seen splitting his apple and giving a portion of the fruit to the pony.
Aftermath[]
Springtrap Foxy: Boy I love these heartwarming moments...and no, I don't know the Etali looking person, they just showed up! Discord was pretty much tied here, with Giratina matching his time and space manipulation. And, Giratina was at an advantage, especially over Ghost Discord, as Ghost is strong against Ghost. Discord can't really fight so up close, but Giratina was merciless, tearing though obstacles and murdering a fellow Legendary! Plus, sure, the terminal velocity feat was somewhat bonkers, Roar of Time has a Power of 150, one of the best Dragon moves out there, dealing double damage to his fellow Creation buds, and Giratina not only countered it, but knocked Dialga around. Dialga weighs 1500 pounds, barely short of Giratina's Altered Forme, and above his Origin Forme, yet using Giratina and the Sky Warrior, and Giratina had the ambush advantage, but he dragged Dialga into the Distortion World with ease, despite the almost same weight! Discord's best feat is controlling the sun and moon, but in all actual reality, if Equestria orbited the sun, that would mean Discord is speeding up the rotation of the planet while moving the moon as well. Giratina can supposedly do this with theoretical space warps, but another thing is Giratina is resistant to physical attacks, unless another dragon smacked him. Discord is pretty weak physically, and Giratina's portals could send the damaging lethal moves away. Moves like Supernova (FFVII) and the Data Drain won't work. Giratina has time manipultion, able to undo the laser, and Giratina isn't digital, he is a physical entity. Besides, Discord can't truly kill Giratina, due to Pokemon lore, that each cartridge is its own universe, so that is hundreds of millions of similar Giratinas, and that's without the big boy from the anime. Looks like Discord's visions of victory were distorted. The Winner is Giratina.
Soundtrack will be a blend of a lot of songs, and fittingly named "Welcome to Our Distorted Disharmony" showing the Mane 6's Elements of Harmony, except Twilight Sparkle's element is replaced with the Griseous Core, and Origin Forme Giratina's wings are grasping the Elements.
