Deoxys VS Master Hand is a What-if Death Battle featuring Deoxys from Pokémon and Master Hand from Super Smash Bros.
Note : Deoxys is composite. Master Core will be included.
Description[]
The two mysterious morphing alien's core from Nintendo will duke it out to see who rules space !
Interlude[]
Wiz : In fiction, aliens can have diverse types of appearances. From dreadful looks to the most ridiculous ones, without forgetting some epic designs.
Boomstick : And sometimes, one appearance isn't enough, and an alien can have multiple forms. And these made it even more badass !
Wiz : But despite having these multiple forms, all their power and life can remain in their inner core, and that's the case of these two spatial Nintendo aliens. Deoxys, the DNA Pokémon.
Boomstick : And Master Hand, the creator of the Super Smash Bros. universe. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz : And it’s our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who will win a Death Battle.
Deoxys[]
(Cues Deoxys' Theme - Pokémon Movie "Destiny Deoxys" )
Boomstick : Many Pokémons can be catched by travelling regions. But the most legendary ones often make the trainer reach some unimaginable places. Deoxys doesn't escape to the rule.
Wiz : Deoxys is the 386th Pokémon, formed by the mutation of a spatial virus which was exposed to a laser beam. And for most of its incarnations, the mythical Psychic-type Pokémon fell in Earth in a meteorite from space. Basically making it the first alien pocket monster.
Boomstick : Being an alien Pokémon, he naturally felt a little homesick. Most likely because most of the time, a Deoxys isn't alone and search from his friend, communicating via aurora produced by their core. Until then, he naturally tends to not be that aggressive toward humans, except if they are an interference to looking for his friend.
Wiz : As the DNA Pokémon, Deoxys has some abilities that are quite original in comparison to the common Pokémon lore. The most notable one is his ability to change his shape. Deoxys can switch in an instant to his Normal, Attack, Defense and Speed forms. Each one having its own avantages and inconveniences.
Boomstick : Adding to that the fact that he can create dozens of clones of himself, levitate without the Special Ability of...well...Levitate, morph his tentacles into hands, create parallel dimensions, possess other Pokémons to talk, draw energy from meteorites and...create minitatures black holes.
Wiz : His body being his way of attacking, the brain of Deoxys is the core in his chest. That allows him to regenerate destroying parts of his body. Or even the entirety of it, except the core itself.
Boomstick : Isn't this a little bit dangerous to have his brain on his chest ?
Wiz : Well, if your brain is durable enough to withstand a point-blank Hyper Beam from Rayquaza and regenerates your whole body...
Boomstick : Damn I wish I have that strong of a brain !
(Cues Battle! Deoxys - Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire)
Wiz : Deoxys is an extremely intelligent Pokémon. Being Psychic, he is naturally weak to Bug, Ghost and Dark attacks, but is resistant against Fighting and Psychic ones. His ability Pressure forces his opponent to use more of his energy into the battle. He has also a large number of attacks. He knows Leer, Wrap, Teleport, Knock Off, Pursuit and Snatch !
Boomstick : Night Shade which is normally a frightening mirage, is in Deoxys' fashion a black beam which can knock down Rayquaza. But his most powerful attacks are his Psychic ones. Psycho Shift allows him to exchange his status problems with the user, Cosmic Power lets him absorb energy from space to boost his defense and special defense. Zen Headbutt is a powerful psychic headbutt that relies on all of the willpower of the user ! Earlier friendship, now willpower, Deoxys is a typical cliché hero.
Wiz : Anyway, he also knows Psychic, which is one of the most powerful Psychic attack, and allows the user to master telekinesis. And in the case of Deoxys, it can be moving humans, a gigantic amount of water, or multiple rocks to shield himself. He can also uses the move Recover to heal himself. And most of all, its signature attack, Psycho Boost, is a colored ball of psychic energy that is extremely powerful, able to damage Rayquaza and knock him back. But the drawback is that it lows the Special Attack of Deoxys harshly each times he uses it.
Boomstick : And he knows Hyper Beam too that he fires from its core ! But we haven't finished about Deoxys' moves... Remember the different forms we talked earlier ?
Wiz : In its Normal form, Deoxys' stats are well-balanced. In this mode, he was able to push back the Tree of Life, which is basically a Dwarf Star level feat, and kept up with Rayquaza's speed. He also masters the move Safeguard, that instead of protect of status changes and confusion, is an impenetrable barrier in Deoxys' tentacles. He's also able to do a triangular combination of Light Screen and Reflect, lowering the damages of physical and special attacks.
(Cues Capture - Pokémon Movie "Destiny Deoxys")
Boomstick : His Attack Form is his most aggressive one, sacrificing durability to gains even more power ! A Psycho Boost from this form is able to rival Rayquaza's Hyper Beam, and one hit from its tentacle put the legendary dragon down. He can also provokes his enemy with Taunt, forcing him to attack, uses the Fighting move Superpower that attacks with great power, and then lows the user's Attack and Defense. He can also shoot a powerful electric ball with the move Zap Cannon.
Wiz : His Defense Form allows him to withstand better the attack by changing his own cells. If his attack potency is worse than the other forms, he's really durable and has a lot of moves for defensives. Iron Defense for a great rise of Defense, Amnesia for a great rise of Special Defense...
Boomstick : And a temporarily lost of memory...
Wiz : Protect can completely negates an Hyper Beam from Rayquaza and an Overheat from Blaziken, Skill Swap can exchanges the Special ability between Pokémon, Spikes allows to throw multiple spikes on the battlefield. He finally has Counter and Mirror Coat that respectively allows him to give twice the damages of a Physical or Special attack he just receives.
Boomstick : Finally, he has a Speed form. With passable attack and defense, he gains enormous Speed, making him the fastest Pokémon. Just fucking that ! He can uses Double Team, creating afterimages of himself, Agility that can highly raises his speed even more, and of course the move Extreme Speed that allows him to strike his opponent multiple times at...extreme speed. I'm repeating myself a lot in this episode.
Wiz : But despite being a very powerful Pokémon, Deoxys isn't the legendary Pokémon with the better win-loss record. He has been defeated by Mewtwo who impaled him with a spoon, by Rayquaza in their first encounter, and was about to get defeated again if it wasn't for his friend Deoxys appearing and saving the day. He's also sensitive to electromagnetic waves that obscure his vision. That's why he wanted to eliminate the humans that represented physical interferences to the search of his friend.
Boomstick : Oh ! And if the core is destroyed, he died. But hey, this core can even survive the fall of Deoxys' own meteorite into Earth.
Wiz : But still, Deoxys is a tough Pokémon, being able to survive multiple hits from Rayquaza and easily outclassed Pokémon of some trainers.
Deoxys is shown rising from the meteorite that just fell on Earth.
Master Hand[]
(Cues Master Hand Theme - Super Smash Bros.)
Boomstick : Aaaah, the Smash Bros. Universe. The only universe where a lot of characters from totally different levels can beat the crap of each other, where Peach can have her revenge against Bowser, where a villager can become a psycho, and where a boxer can jump. Oooh Wiz, are you still upset about my Jigglypuff defeating your Ganondorf ?
Wiz : We said we will not talk about that. Anyway, the Smash Bros. universe, also known as the World of Trophies, has been created by one entity called the Master Hand. Which is basically...a floating right hand in a white glove.
Boomstick : Theorized by the players to be the hand of a child playing with his favorite Nintendo characters, and some guests, Master Hand is for sure a being that reigns over his world where characters are trophies that can turn to life. It's perhaps because of that if all characters are at the same level of power.
Wiz : Or simply because of gameplay mechanics. Master Hand appears to be the last boss of the Classic Mode in all games of the series. He awaits the characters in the Final Destination...
Boomstick : Which is basically a floating platform in the middle of the space. Which don't move. In the middle of the space. Damn, there isn't any logic.
Wiz : And then it challenges them. If the hand is most of the time defeated, keep in mind that Master Hand keeps its true power hidden when it fights these characters, due to its challenging nature. That's why he could battle against Shulk or Kirby, but also be defeated by well...the Wii Fit Trainer or some Miis. Also, gameplay mechanics play a good part on that again.
(Cues Master Hand Theme - Super Smash Bros. Brawl)
Boomstick : But the Master Hand has some handsome techniques ! It can punch really hard at high speed, fly into space, produce flames from its wrist to propulse itself, drill into the opponent, slap the hell of a character and burry him...
Wiz : But he can also produce energy balls, fireballs, floating platforms, and shoot energy or Bullet Bills like a gun. It can also put its opponent to sleep, stun him by snapping his fingers, poke the air two or three times and squeeze its enemy. It can produces a massive wind with ice projectiles that can freeze too. Each one of its fingers even have the power to shoot lasers.
Boomstick : And it can walk and then kick you off the stage ! With its fingers ! THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE !
Wiz : Because shooting beams and fireballs are possible for a normal hand ? Nevermind, Master Hand can also get faster and stronger the angrier he becomes. The right hand can sometimes challenge you with Crazy Hand, his left counterpart. If Master Hand is the embodiment of creation, capable of creating an entire universe, Crazy Hand is the embodiment of destruction, so it is capable of destroying one.
Boomstick : But doesn't Master Hand is equal to Crazy Hand in power ? But anyway, in Super Smash Bros. for WiiU and 3DS, a new form of Master Hand was included. When you have inflicted enough damages to him, an invasion of swarming black particles emerges from the hand, burning to ashes the poor Crazy Hand if it's here, and reveals Master Core. We tell you this right now, nobody knows if it's the hidden power of Master Hand that we talked earlier.
(Cues Master Fortress Second Wave - Super Smash Bros. for WiiU and 3DS)
Wiz : Master Core has many forms. It can take first the appearance of a giant of black particles, called Master Giant. This form can headbutt you violently while burrying you and creating cross-like bombs, shoot electric orbs, lift up the Final Destination and create shockwaves by screaming. It can move quickly his arm to slash horizontally and on a long range in an instant.
Boomstick : And it can create a giant vortex by splitting his head open ! That's disgusting... Oh, and only the head is vulnerable.
Wiz : Master Beast takes the form of a scorpion-dinosaur-thing that can bite you really quickly and to the death. It also produces black electricity all around it, and spikes on the battlefield and on its back. By jumping very high and coming down very fast, it can also make the Final Destination tilt.
Boomstick : Master Edges is basically five floating swords with one being larger than the others. These swords can move really fast to cut you to shreds with multiple slashes, but also, all at the same time, slash to make a very powerful single cut. A little tip, don't forget that the larger blade is the stronger. Oh and they can shoot circular cutting ball that boomerang back to them, and these balls can have different sizes, from little to giant.
Wiz : Master Shadow is basically a bigger clone of yourself that has the same abilities as you. As its health drops it shrinks, to finally have your size. And when Master Shadow is defeated comes the almost-ultimate form of Master Core : the Master Fortress.
Boomstick : Which is basically a giant maze of black particles with weak spots that you have to destroy to defeat it. After you destroyed two of them, the Fortress will eject you to be even more dangerous. Because yes, the Fortress is filled with Danger Zones which is basically acids on the wall or even pools of acid that can kill you if you have too much damages, but also enemies of black particles.
Wiz : And that includes Stalfos from the Legend of Zelda, Geemer from Metroid, Plasma Whip from Kirby and Lethinium from Kid Icarus. So yeah basically knights, spikes, electricity and big laser beams.
Boomstick : If you manage to defeat it, it will reveal the true form of Master Core, which is just a helpless little core. Or not so helpless ? If you have the balls to not kill it fast and provokes it, it will rise into the air and shoot five deadly red shockwaves, and then destroy itself. I'M TAKING YOU WITH ME.
Wiz : The Master Hand is so an entity extremely powerful, but not invincible. It was controlled by the alien Tabuu with light chains and was defeated by him in one shot. But don't forget the guy is so powerful it can turns all the characters that take part on the Subspace Emissary event into trophies in one shot. However, killing Master Hand also means that the Super Smash Bros. Universe will cease to exist.
Boomstick : Oh, you surely want that after your defeat against me.
Wiz : Damn you.
Master Hand appears in the Final Destination, laughing.
Intermission[]
Wiz : Alright, the combatants are set! Let's end this debate, once and for all!
Boomstick : IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLE!
DEATH BATTLE ![]
Pre-Fight[]
(Cues Tournament : Registration - Super Smash Bros. for WiiU and 3DS)
In what seems be a floating platform in the middle of a cloudy sky, many trophies are here. Many trophies feature characters, stages and items from Nintendo. Some trophies even represent characters from other companies. All of these trophies seem like the true collection of one child's life. One glove appears from the sky and approaches to the collection. It then takes the trophy of Missingno., and cleans the dust on it. It then puts it with the other trophies, and tidies the rest of the collection up. After that, the hand snaps its fingers and a treasure chest appears. It then opens it and sees a trophy of Silver the Hedgehog. It then takes the trophy in its hand and the trophy magically disappears. The hand then gives a thumbs-up to the camera. This entity is Master Hand.
Suddenly, the hand turns in shock to see that, far away, in the Final Destination, something goes wrong. Nothing and no one can attack its homeplace without paying the price. He flies into the portal leading to the Final Destination. As the boss arrives, he sees that a rain of meteorites is coming down to the stage. It then points two fingers at them like a gun, and attacks with several fire shots, destroying multiple meteorites. The hand then flies and punches some others. It takes one meteorite into its hand, pushes it back, and then takes care of the rest.
The camera then zooms on the meteorite that has been pushed.
(Cues The Buzz of Shadows - Project X Zone 2)
The meteorite then begins to glow. A purple energy illuminates completely the meteorite before shattering it to pieces, revealing a black triangle. From the triangle then appears green and orange tentacles, and then a lifeform from the same color goes out of it completely, with a purple core in his chest. His eyes opens. Deoxys just comes out. The Pokémon sees the giant white hand, which continues to break the spatial rocks. He then looks surprized as he sees Master Hand about to wreck a piece of meteorite with a green ball in it. His eyes then glows blue, as he unleashes a powerful Psychic wave, taking control of the meteorite and prevent Master Hand from destroying the core of another Deoxys. He then put the rock away from the battlefield. Deoxys then rushes at Master Hand in Attack Form, and his leg collides with one finger of the creator of the World of Trophies. Both then step back. Master Hand then points his forefinger at Deoxys.
Master Hand : YOU !
Deoxys then slowly lands on Final Destination while Master Hand approaches from the stage and laughs. Master Hand then looks at the camera and with his fingers counts the beginning of the fight.
Master Hand : 3...2...1...
FIGHT ![]
(Cues Metal Battle - Super Smash Bros. Melee)
Deoxys rushes at Master Hand in Attack Form, and tries to push back Master Hand with his tentacles. With a flick of a finger, Master Hand pushes the Pokémon back. The Pokémon then teleports on Master Hand, and jumps multiple times on the Hand, stomping him. He then uses Night Shade, releasing a black beam at the alien boss. But Master Hand uses his Jetstream move, and as fire comes from its wrist, it flies fast and avoids continuously the beam that chase it. From the background, it then rushes at Deoxys at high speed. The DNA Pokémon then goes Defense, an uses Protect. The Hand collides against the Barrier, and is forced to go back. It then fastly uses a Big Slap on Deoxys, slapping him with a huge strike. The boss then chases Deoxys to catch him, and as it manages to be next to the Pokémon, the latter chooses Speed Form, and uses Extreme Speed, attacking the Hand from multiple angles. He then uses Agility, increasing his Speed even more, and attacks the Hand with physical strikes. The Master Hand then shoots several shots of fire and Bullet Bills at Deoxys who avoids them. It then uses Laser Nail and so releases beams with his fingers. Deoxys morphs into his Defense Form again, and uses Mirror Coat. As the beams attack the Pokémon, several energy beams attacks Master Hand too and hurt it. Deoxys then directly uses Zap Cannon in Attack Form, but the hand manages to catch the ball and returns it to the Pokémon. Deoxys uses Psychic on his own shot, controlling the ball of electricity to attack the Hand from every directions. But Master Hand releases a green energy ball too and defends itself with it. It then rushes at Deoxys with it from the air, and tightens the DNA Pokémon between the stage and the ball of energy, hurting him bad and destroying one of his arm. Master Hand then rises to the air, preparing his fist to flatten Deoxys. But Deoxys uses Counter with his remaining arm, and punches back with the other who has regenerated. The Counter deals twice the damages the Pokémon received. He then uses Recover to regain health.
Master Hand then provokes Deoxys in a move of its hand, and the Pokémon uses Psychic, attacking the boss with powerful psychic waves. He then tries to take possession of him with Psychic, but the hand breaks free of it. Deoxys then morphs into his Normal Form and spawns multiple clones which attack the Hand. Master Hand then begins to fly, and punches some clones, destroying them. From the background it then punchs quickly in direction of the other clones, obliterating them in one shot. Master Hand then walks on the stage toward Deoxys. The Pokémon uses Cosmic Power, raising its Defense and Special Defense ability, and turns to Attack Form. Master Hand then tries to knock Deoxys with its middlefinger but sees that the Pokémon blocks its attack.
(Cues Stardust Speedway Bad Future (US) - Sonic CD)
Deoxys' tentacles has wrapped around the fingers of the Hand. A light blue aura then glows around Deoxys. He's about to use Superpower. The DNA Pokémon swings his opponent with his tentacles, and uses a Lariat move to violently knock the Hand on the stage. He then unleashes the Hand, and prepares a Psycho Boost. But the Hand begins to flap his hand to create a gigantic wind. Deoxys cancels his Psycho Boost and goes into Speed Form, uses Agility to raise his Speed, and flies in the wind. He sees that the wind is filled with ice projectiles and uses Psychic to control and protect himself of them. But as he finally resists the wind and approaches Master Hand, the creator of Smash Bros. snaps his fingers, stunning Deoxys. As it's about to do a Side Punch, Deoxys regains his mind, turns into Normal Form and releases Safeguard, creating an umpenetrable barrier. Master Hand collides with it, "steps back" and drills to break the barrier. It succeeds on shattering it, surprising Deoxys. The Pokémon teleports in an instant, and as the Hand tries to catch it he continues to teleport to escape it. Master Hand finally catches him, squeezes it, destroying the legs of Deoxys, and then violently throws the Pokémon to the ground. Deoxys is laying on the Final Destination, and doesn't do a single move. Master Hand, disappointed, then begins to leave the battlefield, but he quickly realises that his opponent isn't dead.
And yes, in fact, Deoxys is here, standing up, and prepares a Psycho Boost that he shoots to the Master Hand which is hurt by the psychic ball. Deoxys then Taunts Master Hand, that quickly rushes to the Pokémon and Tri-Pokes him violently to the ground. As the hand is about to burry him in a slap, Deoxys uses Psychic, exhausted, and makes the Hand slaps the stage far from him. He then uses Recover, standing up easier. The DNA Pokémon raises his defense via Iron Defense, in Defense Form, and covers the Final Destination of Spikes. Master Hand then "stands" up and uppercuts at high speed the Pokémon, senting him up in space. Deoxys then uses Cosmic Power, rising his Defense and Special Defense again, and then uses Night Shade in Attack Form. But this time, it doesn't really work on Master Hand which doesn't seem so much affected by the attack. The Pokémon then goes in Speed Form and while flying really fast around Master Hand, uses Leer several times to law the defense of it. As he returns to Attack Form, Master Hand rushes at him, and Deoxys uses Zen Headbutt, knocking the hand on the stage with a powerful head attack that releases an explosion of psychic energy.
Master Hand punches the stage hard. It is really angry. It shoots several fire attacks at the Deoxys without stopping. Deoxys activates his Speed Form to avoid the attack and uses Double Team to create many afterimages of him. Master Hand continues its different shoots but only hit afterimages. The Hand then produces a giant fireball that it squeezes in its hand, sending multiple fireballs at the many Deoxys. The true one transforms into the Attack Form and counters one fireball with a Zap Cannon, while the afterimages disappear. Master Hand then tries again to shoot Deoxys, but nothing happen. The Pressure ability does its work, and prevents Master Hand to use continuously an attack as powerful as these shoots. Deoxys flies to Master Hand with a Zen Headbutt but the Hand stuns him before the Pokémon could touch it. The creator of the World of Trophies is ready to show him why it is called by this name. He grabs the Pokémon and begins to fly in the space with him. In Master Hand's grasp, Deoxys changes to Defense Form, to not take to much damages of it. Master Hand increases its speed of travel as a portal open in the space of Final Destination. The hand enters it, and they both appear in what seems to be a road made of rainbow, next to a moon and some space rockets. In this road, some characters in karts race. Master Hand has just send them both into the Rainbow Road of the 7th Mario Kart. As they arrive, it throws the Pokémon to the rainbow ground.
(Cues Rainbow Road - Mario Kart Double Dash and Wii - Remix by welle LICHT AWN)
Deoxys sees the moon and flies directly at hit in Speed Form. However the Master Hand, thinking the Pokémon wants to flee, flies too and slams him to the rainbow ground again, before making a "No" with its finger. Master Hand then projects an icy wind again, but Deoxys transforms into his Defense Form and uses Mirror Coat, taking the hit, but damaging heavily the Hand who receives twice the damages of its own attack. Deoxys then uses Iron Defense to raise his defense, and as the Master Hand prepares to punch him he uses Psychic to knock it to the moon. He then raises his Special Defense with Amnesia. As the Master Hand is about to prepare a Laser Nail with his fingers, it stops when it sees that Deoxys doesn't do anything, and look at him, surprised. The Pokémon lost his memory in the process of Amnesia. He doesn't know where he is, why he was doing and what is this giant glove near him. An engine noise is then heard. Multiple karts is going at them, in the road. Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad in their kart just overtake Deoxys who sees Bowser, Koopa, Shy Guy and Wario hound them.
Bowser : SHOWTIME !
Deoxys and Master Hand "look" to each other, and Deoxys transforms into Speed Form while Master Hand prepares its Jetstream. Why not having a little fun if its opponent doesn't have the heart to fight for the moment ? Just one thing is in Deoxys' head, or rather core : protect the first racers he encounters from their pesky pursuers. As Master Hand flies above Rainbow Road, Deoxys is running on it at very high speed. They both soon overtake the bad guys, and Deoxys then uses Psychic on Koopa's kart to make it crash into the moon. A Lakitu just saves the poor turtle at the last moment, preventing him from dying. As Master Hand flies, it gives a thumbs-up to the first four racers. Deoxys is using Zap Cannon on multiple areas of the Rainbow Road. One hurts Shy Guy, which falls of his kart which then blows up as the minion runs away, scared. Deoxys then rushes at high speed to be first place, while continuing firing Night Shade at Wario and Bowser. During this time Master Hand continues flying, looking sometimes at how the situation progresses.
Wario : Who are you ? Take this !
Wario then throws a Spiky Shell that flies in direction of Deoxys. But the 386th Pokémon uses Psychic and redirects the dangerous blue shell toward Wario and Bowser, creating a huge blue explosion. Wario falls off the road and a Lakitu catches him to place the yellow plumber somewhere else for his security.
Bowser : I don't what you are or why Master Hand is here...
He then transforms into Giga Bowser.
Bowser : ...you made enough trouble to me to let me remind you who's the king !
(Cues Battle! Deoxys - Remix by GlitchxCity)
Then suddenly, Deoxys gets his Memory Back. The one he has to fight isn't this giant turtle, but this giant hand. The Pokémon then looks at the Hand angrily and shoots a powerful Hyper Beam from its core in direction of Master Hand. The boss of Final Destination notices it, and punchs the Rainbow Road hard to weaken the layout of it. It then grabs the road and blocks the Hyper Beam with it.
Bowser : Don't forget the Koopa King !
Giga Bowser then shoots several fireballs at both Master Hand and Deoxys. Master Hand counters them with its own fireballs, as Deoxys avoids them in Speed Form. He then attacks with Extreme Speed the giant turtle. Master Hand then snaps its fingers and stuns the gigantic tyrant of Nintendo. It then whips him with the Rainbow Road before wrapping him with it.
Master Hand : You haven't any responsibility in this fight. I will put you in a safer place.
Bowser : Wha...
He's interrupted as Master Hand puts him to sleep by touching his head. Master Hand then punchs Bowser hard in the face, making a light glows all around Bowser before he's turned into a trophy. Master Hand then takes it and puts it into a treasure chest, which magically puts the Giga Bowser Trophy into Master Hand's collection. Master Hand then turns to Deoxys.
Master Hand : Don't expect that type of mercy for you.
Deoxys then turns into Normal Form and unleashes dozens of clones that fly to Master Hand. All of them covers the Master Hand which struggles. During this time, Deoxys uses his triangular combination of Reflect and Light Screen, making it more resistant temporarily to all offenses. He then goes on the moon and begins to absorb power from it. The Master Hand frees himself from the clones and destroys them with beams. Deoxys then unleashes a powerful Psycho Boost, and once again Master Hand uses the Rainbow Road to block it. But the Psycho Boost explosion makes a huge hole in the Road, damaging the Hand, who immediatly punches. However, its goal isn't Deoxys, but the Moon itself. Deoxys tries to prevent it from destroying the moon in Defense Form by blocking with Protect. But the Master Hand's attack is better that Deoxys' defense, and it punches the Pokémon and the moon, shattering the latter and heavily damaging the alien pocket monster. Deoxys then uses Recover to heal himself, but Master Hand throws at him several moving platforms, that Deoxys launchs away with Psychic. Master Hand takes advantage of this opening to catch Deoxys.
Master Hand : Our battle can't continue here.
As soon as they arrive in the space of Final Destination, the hand releases Deoxys from its grasp, and they continue battling.
(Cues Boss Battle Song 1 - Super Smash Bros. Brawl)
Both aliens clash with their fists, tentacles or whatever they have as limbs. Deoxys turns to Normal Form and uses Psychic to immobilize Master Hand with telekinesis, he then turns his tentacles to hand and begins to fastly punch Master Hand's palm several times. But it doesn't do much on Master Hand who soon breaks free fom Psychic. It uses its Drill Attack against Deoxys who sees his left arm destroyed, but he regrows it instantly, and turns into Speed Form, uses Agility again, and attacks with Extreme Speed. But the Master Hand keeps up with this quite easily, and slaps the alien Pokémon multiple times, before knocking him to Final Destination. Deoxys stands up, and both begins to fight at very high speed, making different shockwaves into the space. Deoxys then uses Psychic as Master Hand unleashes its powerful wind again, making a strong explosion of wind and psychic waves.
Deoxys then throws a Psycho Boost at the Hand, but it redirects the psychic ball to Deoxys, who then creates a miniature black hole to suck the shot in. He's surprised that the Master Hand isn't even fazed by the black hole. The Hand then shows the deep space of the Final Destination, where a gigantic black hole can be seen far away. Both rushes at each other, but as Deoxys tries to Zen Headbutt the Hand, the final boss grabs Deoxys and violently throws it to the ground. Master Hand then unleashes the trophy of Silver the Hedgehog.
Silver : IT'S NO USE !
Deoxys looks at it with interest. He then tries to attack the Master Hand again, but he's punched in the face.
Silver : IT'S NO USE !
Master Hand then takes Silver, and throws him far away, making the white hedgehog returns to the Green Hill Zone. Deoxys then gains advantage of that and teleports on Master Hand, he then wraps his tentacles all around Master Hand's fingers in Attack Form and begins to pull them. Master Hand howls from the pain of its fingers cracking.
Stop that...
Deoxys then continues to pull the fingers as the Master Hand begins to glow black.
You will regret it, creature...
Deoxys then completely breaks Master Hand's fingers, which falls in the ground, bleeding.
You've been warned.
(Cues Shadow of The Core - Remix of Master Core Theme by Pirate Crab.)
An enormous swarm of black particles emerges from Master Hand : Master Core has emerged.
It takes first the form of a giant of black particles. The giant punches repeatedly at Deoxys who avoids most of the punches in Speed Form, and attacks him at different spots of its body with Extreme Speed. But the only hit that succeed to hurt is the one in the head. Master Giant then produces a big vortex from its split head. Deoxys then flies at high speed to avoid the vortex, as he soon sees multiple balls of electricity coming at him. He avoids them, but when the vortex ends, one hurts him in the back, paralyzing him. The Master Giant then prepares to slash him with one move of his arm, but Deoxys uses Psycho Shift that cures Deoxys from his paralyzis and inflicts him to the Giant who stops its movement. But it then cries, producing a huge shockwave that pushes Deoxys out the stage. The Master Giant then headbutts Deoxys, knocking him into multiple cross-shaped explosions. But the Pokémon defends himself with Protect in Defense Form. Master Giant takes the Final Destination with its two hands, and throws it at Deoxys. The Pokémon then unleashes a Psycho Boost to the stage, and then an Hyper Beam. The strenght of the two attacks makes the Final Destination boomerangs back into the head of the Master Giant, destroying it.
But it isn't finished as the black swarm takes the form of Master Beast. The Beast rushes directly at Deoxys with electricity all over its body. Deoxys tries to defend himself with Protect, but is soon overwhelmed by the huge amount of electricity that hurts him critically. The Master Beast then pierces Deoxys' back with its tail, and throws him into Final Destination. When the Pokémon hits the stage, the Master Beast impales him with the spikes in its back, again and again. The Master Beast then jumps really high and stomps Deoxys powerfully, shattering the Final Destination to multiple pieces. Deoxys uses Recover twice to regain all of its health. The Master Beast then throws several trails of shadows at him to produce spikes. But Deoxys avoids them by jumping on the different pieces of the stage. Master Beast then rushes to bite him, but Deoxys shapes himself into his Attack Form, holds the fangs of the Beast, and shoots a powerful Hyper Beam, destroying Master Beam from the inside.
But again, it isn't over. The black swarm takes the form of five swords : Master Edges. But this time, Deoxys knows it couldn't go over like this again and again, he has to react quickly and put this form down as soon as possible, in case there are others. But as he thinks that, all five swords slash his right tentacles without him noticing. He then goes immediatly into Speed Form and tries to avoid all the different slashes from the blades. He then sees that one, larger than the others, which is about to fall on him, he then uses his Attack Form and Psychic. He concentrates as the psychic waves go more intense to damage the blade. Finally, before it can cut Deoxys, the Pokémon manages to take control of the black particles which form this blade. He then manipulates it to block the strikes from the other blades. The tinier swords then unleashes four little cutting balls and then two giant ones. Deoxys manages to counter the first four with the giant sword , but has more trouble to destroy the two others. But the two balls boomerang back, and as the blades dodge them, Deoxys cuts them all with a single strike of the giant blade, before releasing the Psychic harm on the giant sword that consumes itself. All particles then concentrate themself into one being : Master Shadow.
(Cues Warrior from an Unknown Land - Dragon Ball Z Budokai 2)
Deoxys is surprised to see right in front of him a being that looks like a Deoxys, with a body of black particles, and a little bit taller. By logic, Deoxys transforms into Attack Form and throws Night Shade beams to the opponent who also throws the same attack. Deoxys begins to fight, and rushes at him to uses Knock Off, hoping that a Dark Type attack would work. It succeeds on hurting the black Deoxys, but it doesn't step back, and Zen Headbutts him. Deoxys is sent flying back, as Master Shadow uses Pursuit, to violently attack Deoxys with a fast Dark Type punch. Both then transform into Speed Form and attack themself at incredible speed, before Deoxys Wraps Master Shadow into his tentacles and damages it, making it slowly shrink. But the Shadow transforms into Attack Form and breaks from the Wrap, and tries Psychic in Normal Mode on Deoxys, which doesn't seem so much affected, before he's hit by another Night Shade. As Master Shadow flies to him, Deoxys turns into Attack Mode and unleashes a powerful Superpower punch that considerably makes Master Shadow shrinks. Deoxys then Recovers, and Zen Headbutts Master Shadow which turns into Defense Form and pushes him back.
Both face each other. Both turn to Attack Form. The core of Deoxys engulfs into a bright light as the chest of Master Shadow does the same. Both unleashes Hyper Beam.
The collision of the two Hyper Beam creates a huge shockwave that totally destroys the rest of Final Destination. One alien could be seen in the light, and it's a Pokémon. But soon, the light is engulfed by darkness : Master Fortress appears.
(Cues All the PokeBalls in the World - Brandon Yates)
Deoxys Recovers again and looks at what awaits him. Is this doom itself ? It doesn't matter, he has to win. A being like this is too much of a danger.
He enters into the Fortress in Speed Mode and is soon attacked by multiple enemies. He uses Psychic to push most of them away or blows them up. A Lethinium then unleashes a powerful beam at him, but he blocks it with Protect. He then uses Psycho Boost on it and on what seems to be a pink core. He destroys it with the Psycho Boost, as another way is created into the Fortress.
He is attacked by a Stalfos, and flies with a Zen Headbutt in Attack Mode to break the skeleton's shield. However, he's burned by acid on the wall he touches with the Headbutt. He rushes at extreme speed to find another weak spots. He finally finds one, and shoots a Zap Cannon at it. However, a Plasma Whip places itself right in front of the weakspot, absorbs the shot and redirects it to Deoxys. Deoxys takes the hit and is hurt bad, but he uses Superpower to wreck the Plasma Whip quickly and destroys the weakspot.
Then all stops again. The black swarm begins to cover the Pokémon, who is soon ejected out of the Fortress. Deoxys enters it again, and sees a Stalfos that tries immediatly to slash at it.
It is different, isn't it ?
He then fights the Stalfos but has more trouble to defeat him. The Stalfos cuts the left tentacles of Deoxys, but he regrows them and destroys the Stalfos with Psychic.
There's no hope...
Deoxys then sees the weakspot far away. He activates his Speed Form and rushes at it, but is attacked by many Geemers and Plasma Whips that shoot him with electricity.
You can't win this fight...
Deoxys then transforms into his Attack Form and shoots an Hyper Beam, annihilating most of the enemies. But a Lethinium manages to shoot a beam too and blocks Deoxys' attack.
But it is your fault...
A Stalfos then grabs Deoxys by his back and drags him against an acid wall, destroying little parts of the DNA Pokémon's body.
You didn't set it well..
Deoxys then turns into Normal Form, next to the weakspot, transforms his tentacles into hands, and stretchs them in direction of the weakspot. He manages to punch and destroy it.
Some players don't know their level....
But after destroying that weakspot, Deoxys feels a Geemer falls into his back, impaling him with its spikes. Deoxys tries to Recover but can't anymore as he used it too much with regenerating. And there is one more weakspot to deal with...
All this time you were playing at normal difficulty...
A Plasma Whip then sends a powerful plasma shot that stuns Deoxys, who is instantly impaled in the core by a Stalfos. He then sees a Lethinium preparing a beam.
Now feel how it really is... beyond Very Hard level.
The laser disintegrates completely Deoxys' body. Slowly, the impaled core of the alien Pokémon falls on the ground of the Fortress. The black particles then makes the ground moves and the core rolls to fall into a pool of acid, melting it entirely, killing the DNA Pokémon for good. Then, all particles space themself and reveal Master Core before the particles engulf it again, as a terrifying laugh can be heard.
K.O.[]
While none of Deoxys' cell can be seen in space, the black particles come back to Master Hand who gives a thumbs-up at the camera.
Results[]
(Cues Character Select - Super Smash Bros.)
Boomstick : Geez, it wasn't playing around at the end, Master Core is spooky...
Wiz : Anyway this fight is actually... not close at all. Master Hand has the edge on strength, speed, experience and durability by a large margin. Deoxys is better in intelligence, but if you face an opponent that can fodderize you, intelligence will not help that much.
Boomstick : Yes, Deoxys can adapt really quickly to situations with his different forms and has really impressive feats. But pushing back the Tree of life, having a core that can survive a point-blank Hyper Beam from a Rayquaza, or being the fastest Pokémon in-game, don't measure up to what can do a being which have UNIVERSAL POWER. And that's not a wank, we promise.
Wiz : Master Hand's power is difficult to judge, as he was beaten by characters of different levels. But remember that it was able to create a universe. Crazy Hand, being its destructive counterpart is more than likely able to destroy one. And Master Hand has the same level of power and durability of Crazy Hand. And Master Core is more than likely even more powerful that the destructive left hand which burns when the core arrives. For the speed, Master Hand already reacts to massively faster than light beings in Smash, but even without counting that, the hand can easily keep up with Deoxys' Speed Form. And the only canonical defeat Master Hand has experimented was from Tabuu, and that's more of a good feat for Tabuu than a downgrade for Master Hand, which couldn't use his full power with the Nintendo characters not being far.
Boomstick : What allows Deoxys to go that far into battle was two things : the fact that Master Hand has a challenging nature and kept hidden its true power as its Brawl's trophy said, and secondly... our entairtainment purposes. The moment Master Hand or Master Core wants to stop playing and kill Deoxys, they could do it in an instant.
Wiz : And it doesn't help that Deoxys, despite being able to use Recover and regeneration, will become more exhausted as the battle continues, while Master Hand would become stronger, faster, and will have new forms in Master Core which are more versatile that Deoxys. Not talking about Master Shadow that put Deoxys against his own abilities. Finally, the Master Fortress is a dangerous form. The weakspots are an obvious weakness, but keep in mind that Deoxys would have been exhausted from all the previous forms, and that the black particles can more than likely create as many enemies as they want.
Boomstick : Finally, telekinesis and mind-destroying will not be that effective against an hand with universal power, when Deoxys never uses Psychic it on Rayquaza.
Wiz : Energy drowning from meteorites takes time too and Deoxys couldn't even hope to boost enough himself to beat Master Hand. And miniature black holes are just a joke for a hand that live in the space of Final Destination, which changes constantly.
Boomstick : It was too hardcore for Deoxys to handle.
Wiz : The winner is the Master Hand.
