Intro

Dave the Diver vs Another Crab's Treasure! When you're hard-up for cash, whaddya do? Discover Atlantis (Or, at least the closest thing) of course! Who will take it between these two underwater indie heroes?

Interlude

Triangle: The ocean, such a lovely place, and very, very big as well! We've hardly even seen what the ocean has to offer, there's no telling what we could find!

Monke: But these two have... probably seen the worst of the deep blue.

Triangle: Dave, the sushi-loving diver who braved the Giant Blue Hole's depths.

Monke: Kril, the hermit crab who got out of his shell and... sorta saved New Carcina? He's Triangle and I'm Monke!

Triangle: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skill to find out who would win a Death Battle.

Is Dave the greatest diver of all time??????

(Cue: Dave the Diver OST - The Blue Hole)

Triangle: Long ago, beneath the waves, a species known as the Sea People thrived. They were like humans, in a way, though they could breathe underwater and had the bottom half of a fish. Surprisingly enough, they actually got along pretty well with regular humans. That is, until some humans ate some fruit from the sea people's Divine Tree, which killed said humans, causing a war that ended with the sea people retreating to the depths of the Blue Hole, an ever-shifting and very deep body of water. From that day forward, humanity would forget about the sea people...

Monke: That is until a man by the name of Cobra saw the Blue Hole as an excellent place to set-up a sushi bar! So, he called a master sushi chef known as Bancho, who could make good sushi out of any fish, and Dave... a diver. With Dave supplying the fish (and doing a lot of other management stuff but shush), Bancho cooking, and Cobra being the mastermind behind it all, Bancho Sushi was open for business, and became one of the hottest sushi joints in the world!

Triangle: Now, you may be wondering, how does this connect to the sea people? Well, that comes in with this one fella known as Dr. Bacon, who was trying to prove the existence of the ancient race, and luckily for him, Cobra was willing to... force Dave to help him. Isn't he such a great friend! Anyways, Bacon would send Dave down to find evidence of the sea people's existence, and to do that, He was gonna need a lot of equipment!

Monke: Of course, Dave has his diving suit, which can withstand depths of 800 meters (which would be about 1164.72 psi), and can protect Dave from the cold of arctic-esc depths. Along with this, he has plenty more regular diving shite. Knife, cargo box (which can hold up to 196 kilograms worth of fish and whatever else Dave happens to find), three crab traps, and three recovery drones, which are mini-submarines that can take in larger fish without Dave needing to cut them apart. Pretty handy, eh? Dave also owns diving gloves, which gives him better grip and allows him to grab spikey objects, and a bug net, which I don't think we need to explain.

Triangle: Now we get to Dave's more... strange equipment. Dave has these neat little things that can provide various buffs to Dave. Such as making his weapons do more damage, giving him resistance to poison, allowing him to breathe for a bit after running out of oxygen, and plenty more!

Monke: Now let's get to the fun part, the weapons! Let's start with the melee stuff. Along with the knife, Dave can get his hands on a baseball bat, rubber chicken, a cheap katana, a sharp katana, boxing gloves, a golf club, a squeaky hammer that can put fish to sleep, a shock bangstick, which is a staff that can paralyze fish for a brief period, a tennis racket, a shovel, a pickaxe, a snake he can use as a whip to poison foes, frozen cod that can freeze fish, and even fucking Mjolnir! Yes, that Mjolnir.

Triangle: But then we get to the real bread and butter of Dave's arsenal: the Harpoon! this bad boy is more powerful than a shark's bite, and is made of a super alloy that can prevent corrosion at extreme temperatures! Along with this, Dave can also equip several different tips for the gun, which can provide a variety of different effects! Such as simply being sharper, to burning fish, to freezing fish, to poisoning fish, to zapping nearby fish, to paralyzing fish, and putting them to sleep.

Monke: But then we get to the really cool shit: the guns! Thanks to his good friend Duff, Dave has a fairly large amount of weapons that... may be a bit excessive for fishing. He has an underwater rifle, which can be upgraded to either cause all of the effects that the harpoon tips can cause, or become the death rifle, which has a chance to instantly kill foes! The same applies to the sniper rifle and kind of the triple axel? Like, it has all of the elemental effects, but instant of the big final upgrade allowing it to one-shot enemies, it instead upgrades the amount of shots it can fire from three to five.

Triangle: Despite these being weapons, Dave has some non-offensive ones as well! He has a net gun, which can fire biggol steel nets that can hold even sharks still, an ice gun, which can freeze fish, the hush dart, which can fire darts that can knock fish out cold, and the drain gun, which can siphon health out of fish and give it to Dave.

Monke: But those are boring as shit! I wanna talk about the fucking explosives hell yeah! Dave has a sticky bomb launcher, which can be upgraded to a sticky mine launcher, which can cause chain explosions, or the elemental effects we've been bringing up this entire feckin' analysis. Next up we have, my personal favorite, the grenade launcher! This bad boy can be upgraded to either have gas grenades, or shoot out feckin' black holes that can suck in targets and poison 'em.

Triangle: Okay, that may have been a lot, but we're almost done here. Dave's two most powerful (and debatably standard) weapons come in the form of the G-Force submarine, and Duff's drone. The G-force submarine is a vehicle Dave got a loan of from G-Force member Nikki to combat Ebirah. This bad boy is able to go toe-to-toe with the giant crab, being equipped with a machine gun and Torpedo Launcher. On the other hand, Duff's drone is a weapon that was put into it's battle mode to combat the Yawie, a giant creature that was feasting on the core of the sea people's Divine Tree, and would've caused the death of all of them had it not been for Dave. this drone can keep oxygen levels stable, fire a machine gun of sorts, slow down Dave's perception of time for a second, and charge up energy to fire the Stella-Laser, a devastating beam straight out of an anime.

Monke: We're not quite done here, though. Dave has a few other random pieces of equipment. Such as an underwater scooter, a decoy in the form of a doll, remote mines, nets that activate when a fish passes by, an emergency pager to call a drone to pick him up if things get dicey, and spare oxygen tanks to heal up a bit if needed.

Triangle: Phew! That was a lot! But finally, we can get to Dave's feats! Dave's capable of holding open the mouth of a tiger shark with his bare hands, can survive bites from creatures such as a great white shark, a kronosaurus who had destroyed a titanium submarine just before, punches from giant mantis shrimp, and even torpedos! Not to mention the fact that Dave can also evade all of these, and his weapons were able to successfully defeat all of these creatures.

Monke: Despite all of this wild shit, Dave isn't without his faults. He's clumsy, his weapons can run out of ammo if he doesn't find an ammo box, his oxygen will constantly deplete for the most part, he's fairly unagile, and carrying too much weight will make him slower. Also he's a FATASS MOTHERFU-

Triangle: In the end, despite him not really wanting to have done any of it in the first place, Dave saved the sea people from the vile Yawie, which was eating the energy from the sea people's main food source in order to grow. And for that, Dave was remembered as a hero, and he even got his own statue! Good on ya, Dave!

"Phew... It was a lot tougher than I thought, but I met a lot of nice people in the end. Looking back, it was a fun adventure. I never would've visited a place like the Sea People Village in my life, were I not given the opportunity. Okay, let's relax and... Go for another exciting dive!"
