Darth Vader[]
Wiz: A preeeeeeeeettttttttttttyyyyyyyy long time ago, in a galaxy far away, Darth Vader was feared across the entire galaxy, but before the muderer came to be, he was known as Anakin Skywalker.
Boomstick: A kid sold as a slavery on the harsh planet of Tatooine. He was good on a lot of things, mechanics, pod-racing, and a prodigy Jedi as well! So I'd slightly understand why they'd want him. Then some guy showed up and measured his power to find out he was...the Chosen One..there's a lot of chosen ones, isn't there?
Wiz: ...He would be destined to bring balance to the almighty power of the Force. And thus, he began training under Obi-Wan Kenobi and he became extremely powerful, surpassing Darth Tyranus and was a contender for the most powerful Jedi for his age. He quickly rose to the top of the ranks of the Jedi-
Boomstick: He was also a whiny dick.
Wiz: The Force was intoxicating to him, and being unable to accept loss and pain, he sought power to sort out all of his problems, and thus, he decided to join the Dark Side for answers.
Boomstick: With that, he was now known as Darth Vader. Anakin was very good at killin', since he was able to murder the entire Jedi Order! After that, he met his old master for the final time, and...fell in lava. Wow.
Wiz: After a pretty harsh recovery, and being rebuilt, he became the cloaked lord of the Sith, Darth Vader.
Darth Vader: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Boomstick: Heh, classic. Don't worry about him though, he gained a pretty recognizable voice, and one of the most badass too!
Wiz: This suit that sustained his body was not just made to keep him alive, but also intimidate and fight foes! It enhanced his senses and physique greatly, allowing him to withstand building busting attacks, even give out building busting attacks physically, and allow him to react at amazingly fast speeds! And this is all without Force amplification!
Boomstick: Although, his new body had some pretty shitty problems. It snagged and pulled on his body, his skin itched constantly, among others.
Wiz: it's likely that his Sith master included all this on purpose, fearing Vader might become even more powerful than him.While it did hold him back, Vader grew used to it, and modified his style to suit this new body. If the worse happens, he can use the Force to sustain himself for a few hours.
Boomstick: Talkin' about the force, he can enhance himself to country busting levels with it, react at relativistic speeds, and with precog, he can actually react at lightspeed! He can use Tutaminis to draw potentially harmful energy into his body and diffuse it or channel it away, use Force Barrier offensively or defensively to keep away foes, use Force Shield to...well, shield himself, use Force Scream to devastate anything nearby that isn't strong enough to survive. Force Healing accelerates his natural healing process to an exponentially fast pace, allowing him to heal himself from even the most fatal of injuries in a short time.
Wiz: Dun Moch involves probing the mind of a opponent then using the info for psychological warfare to erode their will. He can even use this against experienced foes able to block their mind. Force Choke is possibly his most used technique, where he crushes the opponents throat using the Force, or any part of their body, even. It only requires line of site to use.
Boomstick: Even though he can't channel electricity through his limbs and use Force Lightning, he can condense and launch a ball of electricity known as kinetite. This is his most powerful technique, even able to possibly bust continents with its power. He has other abilities, like memory manipulation, allowing him to rip into the mind of his opponent to gain information. He can project images of his opponent's fears, torturing them to such a point they're left in a vegetative state. He can access the memories of his foes, allowing him to see, hear and feel what they did to better understand them, and as such, this can be used offensively. And if they aren't strong enough, he can utterly scramble their brains with it!
Wiz: He can also bend the will of his opponents to do his bidding, and has even killed a being famous for their ability to resist these kind things by inflicting mental pain on it. He can also create massive mental blocks for himself, and can tract telepathic trails left by other telepaths. With his telepathy, he can others mentally with the Force to trick, deceive, maim or even kill them outright. He also has pyrokinesis abilities, and of course, telekinesis to a great extent, allowing him to do many things like levitation, or even rip out organs.
Boomstick: Vader is a master of lightsaber combat, including the Shien and Djem So, and is also experienced with the Ataru, Juyo, Makashi, and Soreso styles.
Wiz: He's defeated loads of Jedi Masters, tanked Starkiller's attacks and beat him, the same guy who powered the Fusion Cannon with Force Lightning, which requires 43 teratons to do, and that's just his general firepower! He himself was even powerful enough to kill a clone of Darth Maul by impaling himself!
Boomstick: Some may consider him overrated, but he damn is impressive.
Dio Brando[]
(NOTE: In This What-If? Death Battle, Dio has powers from both Part 1 and Part 3)
(Cue JoJo ASB OST - Dio Brando's Theme)
Wiz: Dario Brando, an abusive, drunk and dying father had told his son, Dio Brando about a rich man he "saved" (in reality Dario was going to rob him) wanting to adopt Dio.
Boomstick: After Dio literally spat on his grave he encounters the Joestar family's youngest member at the time (late 19th century), Jonathan Joestar whom he would constantly torture for the most of their adolescent lives.
Wiz: 4 years later, Dio had enough and was poisoning their father, George Joestar, while pretending to be "a good son/brother" to anyone in the Joestar household (despite Dio burning Jonathan's dog, stealing his girlfriend's, Erina -and later future wife of Jonathan's- kiss, and even about to kill him with a knife during a brawl with him).
Boomstick: Jonathan finds out about this and gets the police to arrest Dio. But Dio uses an ancient Aztec stone mask that turns people into Vampires!
Wiz: After Jonathan "killed" Dio in his castle he was happily married to his girlfriend, Erina Pendleton, but Dio (now just a head) is persistent in killing and then using Jonathan's body.
Boomstick: This seems to fail as Jonathan makes the ship overload and bound to blow up and tells Erina to leave with a baby into Dio's coffin (which was made to survive such a blast). Yet somehow Dio (even though he was in Jonathan's lap clearly a few feet away from the coffin) had made it out alive with Jonathan's body.
Wiz: He then meet and old lady who saw him a "great future" and gave him a strange arrow that when Dio used on himself to get a Stand named after the tarot card "The World".
Boomstick: Though by gaining his Stand everyone else in the living Joestar Blood-line (Joseph Joestar, Holy Kujo, Josuke Higashikata, and Jotaro Kujo) had gain one too!
Wiz: But in 1988, one of them -Holy Kujo- has become ill because of it. This causes her father -Joseph Joestar, protagonist of Part 2: Battle Tendency- and her son, Jotaro with the help of 4 other Stand Users (also based on tarot cards) along the way to defeat the newly named "DIO" thus begin the events of Part 3: Stardust Crusaders to break DIO's Curse to save Jotaro's mother/Joseph's daughter and end the Joestar/Dio Feud.
Boomstick: Being a JoJo vampire also lets Dio have Hypnosis, the ability to fuse other organic beings as well as flight, levitation, and teleportation. Among other perks Dio also gained buff in Durability which goes well with his new Regeneration ability that is basically Rapid Healing.
Wiz: With this Dio is able to piece himself together even after being hit by a dozen close ranged grenades. Dio also had Immortality to boot meaning he never ages or even tires out, unless he is wounded that is. With JoJo Vampirism Dio is able to Freeze organic material via touch, shoot Eye-beams that can reach stratosphere and above and of course suck blood.....through his Fingers....
Boomstick: Laser eyes, freezing touch, and sucks blood through fingers? What kind of vampire is that? Answer: A JoJo Vampire.

Wiz: Moving on. When Dio had risen once again, he later gained a manifestation of the soul known as a Stand. His Stand was named The World that acts as a spirit bodyguard or 'punchy-ghosts'. It was the twin Stand of Jotaro Kujo's Star Platinum, so any feat one could accomplish the other could too.
Boomstick: And seeing how they tie most of the times they collide with -The World usually having the upper-hand- it is very plausible to assume that The World can easily break through car-sized set of diamond teeth and move at Faster-Than Light speeds as Star Platinum could go head to head with the likes of Silver Chariot who outran a Stand that traveled through light and block a Stand who shot the suns rays.
Wiz: Over the course of the series Dio has Super Strength that is enough to lift over 10-20 tons. Dio himself has Super Speed around hypersonic, and his Stand around FTL speed and even FTL/Bullet-like speed reaction time as evident when Dio himself flicked away Noriaki Kakyoin's Emerald Splash. And with The World, Dio is able to stop time for 11 seconds and grows as Dio lives longer and drains more blood. Dio is overall a cunning, philosophical and well-read strategist.
Boomstick: All of this, however, is at the expense of having a body sustained by sheer willpower alone, rather than vital energy. A sufficiently powerful vital force - specifically, sunlight or the Hamon/Ripple force - will negate the sustaining force's presence and disintegrate the long-unliving body.
Wiz: His Stand if broken or attacked, will break him as well. However, he isn't dead per say, more like in a coma or in the process of regenerating as to be sure he is dead Jotaro and Joseph had to put him in the Sun.
Boomstick: For all his great powers, Dio is hampered, like oh-so-many Shonen villains, by his EXTREME arrogance. He’s so intelligent, but in the desire to completely humiliate an opponent, he ignores the most simple and direct solution. This, in combination with MASSIVE PIS (Plot-Induced Stupidity) during his fight with Jotaro (whose own time stop powers happened to manifest at the most convenient time) led to his defeat against Jotaro.
Wiz: But can he stand against the Lord of Sith himself?
Pre-Fight[]
Wiz: Alright it's time to settle this debate once and for all.
Boomstick: It's time for a Death Battle!
Fight[]
The setting is the Death Star. The lord of the Sith is standing in, waiting for the Death Star to reaches its next location. Death was coming for a lot of innocents. But it wasn't before a conflict within the inside of the Empire erupted. Screams were heard in the advancing death machine. Stormtroopers, getting their head blown to bloody bits, having all of their blood sucked out or just plain stabbed to death. Without anyone seeing who did it.
Dio: ...I have to do everything myself...
However, the yellow-clad vampire didn't except his own ramblings to be heard. He was suddenly chocked by an invisible force. He was then thrown across the room and pinned on a wall. A tall and black figure walked upon him.
Darth Vader: *Epic breath* You are trespassing.
Dio:...Heh..Useless! Useless!! USELESS!!!
Another invisible force strikes Vader at the head, breaking the force choke and freeing Dio. With a swift time stop, he appears in the opposite side of a room, and readies his stand.
Dio Brando: I, Dio, will kill you!
Darth Vader: You underestimate the power of the force! *Readies his light saber*
FIGHT
(Cue Awaken)
Vader began running as Dio, at speeds beyond a hundred miles and hour, and swung his lightsaber down to - get blocked by Dio's finger. Before the Sith lord realized what happened, he was kicked in the chest and sent flying away from the vampire. Dashing at him again, Vader swung wildly at Dio, dark red flashes illuminating the room - but none actually managed to hit the quick vampire. Blitzing behind Vader, he drew back his fist to bring down a massive punch onto the Sith lord - which was blocked directly by Vader slashing Dio's arm right off. Precognition helps, eh?
Stepping closer, Vader was about to bring down one final slash until...Dio outright grabbed his arm, and literally reattached it to the rest of his arm. This was rather unexpected for the Sith lord, of course. Suddenly, Vader felt the impact of an utterly massive punch send him stumbling with a crack in his helmet. Using The World to tag team the cyborg lord, both of them began barraging him with punches that Darth Vader couldn't track at all. Growing enraged, the Sith lord growled loudly and threw both his arms out - sending Dio flying away with his telekinetic power.
With a great SLAM, the impact of the vampire's large frame dented the side of the ship pretty badly, and soon fell on the floor after a few seconds. Slowly stepping towards the presumably fallen Dio, Vader looked down to only feel being picked up and thrown by The World, smashing right into a stone-hard window of the ship, creating large, glistening cracks all over it. Slowly looking up to this damage, Darth Vader began punching the glass repeatedly with strength to level entire buildings.
CRACK!
CRACK!

The glass shattered more with every single punch by the Sith lord. Eventually?
SMASH!
You cannot escape destiny...
The enormous window completely shattered, leaving a vast opening to the cold bleakness of space. And with that? Vader turned back, and threw his arm out to the vampire - constricting Dio in a hard grip of telekinesis - and then sending him literally flying out into deep space. Well, almost. Just before the British vampire went off, launching into space - he suddenly screamed something.
ZA WARUDO!
(Cue Doom)
And then time and space ceased to move. The fabric of reality had been pounded to a halt, physics being distorted, reality being warped..time had been manipulated to stop. And the only thing capable of even the slightest though, emotion, movement? DIO. And he used this time wisely. Grabbing Vader around the neck in a stone-cold grip, Dio Brando literally began to run straight through the Death Star - straight through entire meters of metal, wires and all that. Suddenly, Dio stopped in his path. And reality was free.
And time flows again... Dio Brando quietly said in response to this. Darth Vader got up with a few coughs, and brought his hand up. Pieces of metal were ripped from the ship, and sent flying at Dio - who slapped all away with a flick of his hand, only to carefully catch one with two fingers...and send it flying back at the Sith lord. The shard hit, causing a minor graze on the lord's armor, but nothing too much. Bringing his lightsaber forth, he raised it. Dio blitzed forward with a fist back, ready to send the Sith lord's head flying off his shoulders - before that could happen however, Vader ducked and slashed the vampire across the chest. He then punched Dio Brando in the face, and headbutted the vampire away. DIO then fired his "Space Ripper Stingy Eyes" at the cyborg, puncturing his armor and shooting through his body, blood dripping to the floor.
Darth Vader slashed Dio Brando across the face, heavily burning it. He began slashing more - burned cuts appeared all around DIO's body, but they started regenerating the second they appeared. Dio responded with a few thousand punches all across Darth Vader's body - which the Sith lord miraculously survived due to the Force amplifying his bodies durability. Pulling his Stand forward again, The World smashed Darth Vader across the face with power that could level multiple city blocks - and took his lightsaber in the time period of a few nanoseconds. Before the Sith lord could realize what happened, he had been slashed by his own lightsaber about 265 times, give or take. The Sith lord stumbled back, and said a few words to the vampire.
Die.
Bringing forth his inner Pyrokinesis abilities, with a flick of the cyborgs hand the vampire began burning in an intense fiery heat, setting alight most of the room - well, the parts that were flammable. With another hand, Darth Vader began using the Force to slowly crush DIO, but as he always had, Dio had a trick to pull himself out of this sticky situation. Using The World to punch Darth Vader across the face as a distraction, Dio Brando began to cool his body down to quite low temperatures, cold enough to actually nearly freeze the air. He began regenerating his body from the heavily damaging fire, almost appearing untouched again. Still being affected by this cold, he blitzed forward to the Sith lord once again, at speeds faster than light - to smash the cyborg across the face, freezing of his mask, just to make the piece around his eye to shatter, showing a yellow eye with a black pupil, looking rather malicious. He was now pretty angry, to say the very least. He slowly began to use Force Healing to mend some of the more heavier damage to his body, but not the armor.
The Sith lord began to gather the Force, and summon up a ball of Kinetite. Rushing forward at speeds of over 100 miles per hour, Darth Vader shot the ball of energized-electricity forward, blowing back Dio Brando with a massive BOOM that decimated a part of the entire ship. Bringing another forth, he shot the blast into a crater that the vampire had been left in - creating a massive explosion once again. With a few raspy breaths and coughs, he looked into the crater to see...something pretty unexpected. Dio Brando appeared to be...completely fine, not a single scratch on his body. The Sith lord didn't understand - all of his much weaker attacks had a massive affect on the arrogant vampire - why didn't his amazingly powerful Kinetite blast leave a scratch. And then he remembered.
The vampire could stop time. This ability was, to say the least, incredibly useful in this situation, combined with Dio Brando's immense speed it was hard for the Sith lord to catch him - like, really hard. DIO moved forward in a golden flash and kicked Darth Vader in the chest, sending him flying backwards with the vampire's immense strength, and locked a steel hand around his throat. Struggling in this stone lock, the Sith lord slashed Dio Brando with his burning lightsaber multiple times, and began punching him in the chest - eventually pushing him away. DIO looked up, just to meet an iron punch from Vader again, breaking his nose. With the cyborg's other hand, he smashed Dio Brando across his entire face, the vampire tripping backwards and regenerating very soon after. Darth Vader brought has entire long, black arm out once more and grabbed the vampire with his Telekinetic abilities, belonging to the Force. He lifted Dio's entire body right up into the air, and smashed him into the controls and machinery of the ship, causing bright explosions. He began smashing the vampire all over the place, denting and breaking steel. With his other hand, he threw his red lightsaber at Dio Brando - and it would of hit, if the vampire's powerful Stand, The World, hadn't captured it.
(Cue Weakling, weakling!)
The World practically teleported behind the cyborg Sith, and slashed him with his very own sword - well, not just one, but 36 times in total. At that same moment, Darth Vader felt an immensely powerful punch smash into his chest, cracking and denting the amazingly powerful armor, and cracking/breaking his bones. Turning around just about barely in time, he dodged a punch that would've most likely killed him. The World smashed it's giant, powerful stone fist into the floor of the ship, creating a large shockwave throughout the Death Star, and denting - if not, utterly destroying the floor, allowing them to fall down to the next. They both got up, and looked at each other. Darth Vader ultimately stated the truth - at least, to him.
...Even if I perish...the Empire will take care of you...
Dio grinned, and stated also the truth - except objectively, it was slightly more correct.
Oh? Empire? You mean...that one? He pointed his long arm to...uh, everywhere. Everywhere was littered with the dead bodies of Stormtroopers and various troops and soldiers of the Empire. All of them had been killed by the vampire, Dio Brando - practically a god. As a result of Darth Vader's anger, he roared in anger, and used the Force Scream technique - and everywhere devastation quite literally struct, bringing down more and more parts of the increasingly damaged huge ship. The entire Death Star began shaking by its power, by Darth Vader's power. Suddenly, all lights, technology and machinery in the ship went out in a flash, leaving a cold, broken hunk of space metal floating around in the cold darkness of space...and the ship became that darkness. Without machinery? No electricity? No technology working? No oxygen. The Sith lord's suit could survive almost perfectly without oxygen to fuel his being, but DIO still needed it. Rushing forward at utterly blinding speeds to Dio Brando...he had a plan, like he always did - stopping time with a certain shout. ZA WARUDO!
The entirety of time stopped flowing at this - only Dio and his Stand were able to move - or even do anything with this situation, it was the cause of Dio's specific ability. Teleporting far closer to the cyborg Sith, he grabbed him by the shoulders...and with a flash, vanished, disappeared. And then, they appeared again. This time, on a actual planet - in a hot, bleak desert. With very little signs of life - scratch that, no signs of life anywhere. Only Dio Brando, and the Sith lord, Darth Vader existed there. But one was going to perish, die, disappear. Who's fate had been decided by this battle?
(Cue DIO's World)
Darth Vader was the first individual to attack, blitzing forward and sending DIO flying with a single punch - the lord of the Sith knew he needed to get serious, and thus began to amp his entire body with the Force. His true potential had been released...did DIO stand a chance? The cyborg Sith began to slash the vampire - literally thousands of times in an entire, single second. Following up, he smashed his bulbous helmet/head into Dio Brando's cranium - he could feel his entire skull fracturing, actually - this was pretty painful. Darth Vader began rapidly slashing DIO again, everywhere around his body - burns and cuts scarred and wounded him, and Darth Vader's immensely powerful Force amplified punches cracked, splintered and broke his bones. Suddenly, The World appeared behind Vader...and smashed its most powerful punch yet into his back. Dio Brando was visibly surprised.
Impressive...
The Sith lord didn't even flinch, not one bit. He didn't feel anything by this punch by the Stand. The World began barraging Darth Vader with billions of punches, kicks and such in microseconds of time. And it continued doing so...Dio Brando looked up to see... Vader not damaged a single bit, not a crack in the armor, not even affected by anything from it. And with a single punch from the Sith lord? The god, DIO was sent flying into a huge cliff - shattering it entirely upon contact with the powerful being. Although, just a few seconds after Dio Brando exploded out of the stony, rocky wreckage. And he was more pissed than ever - bloodlusted, you could say quite well. And he was most definitely willing to use his trump card in this match now. With an insane laugh, he summoned The World over to his position again, and waited for Vader to attack.
And thus, he did. In a few seconds, Darth Vader blitzed across the desert like a pitch black blur, and brought his lightsaber up to slice the vampire into ribbons...and he admittedly would of, if Dio Brando hadn't shouted a very infamous word - one that had caused a loooot of trouble for the Sith lord in the past moments of the fight. </nowiki>ZA WARUDO!'' The vampire shouted, bringing reality, space, time and everything of the sort coming to an iron halt once again. This time, he grabbed the body of Vader - and bit into him, drinking his blood by large amounts of quantities, gaining his power and strengthening his Time Stop...with this, perhaps he could win. In those five seconds, he kept sucking the blood out of the cyborg, strengthening him to a wondrously large extent until...time flowed again, and a lot of change had happened in those very small, few seconds. Darth Vader had lost a notable amount of power, and he felt that he was weakening, even...Dio Brando on the other hand, was the complete opposite. Rain had began to fall to the ground with amazing strength, the water flowing all over the desert...a storm had been created by the amazing power of Darth Vader - lightning was striking everywhere, and the rain was certainly much harder on the ground - it wasn't a normal storm by any means. In the meanwhile, DIO had grown in power by barely imaginable leaps and bounds, and felt he was getting stronger by the second. So once again, he blitzed forward, and smashed his entire fist into the Sith's helmet... (Cue [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsGA5I4q9N0&list=PLP0kESADYKNA4HLyruH7sldzJyvGyzSyE&index=14 Imminence]) <nowiki>...It didn't do anything at all, much similar to what it had done before. While DIO had grown in power, it wasn't enough to harm a country buster. Darth Vader screamed in rage again, and slashed DIO even more so - well, he tried - and didn't succeed, courtesy of Dio Brando's amazing, FTL speed. However, Darth Vader managed to trick the golden-clad vampire up close, and literally slapped him away, cracking in half his entire jaw, bruising his face and fracturing his skull all in one hit. However, DIO managed to shake off the pain, and shouted his catchphrase once more...one more time stop is what he needed to win. The usual ''ZA WARUDO!'' was shouted out in the middle of nowhere, stopping time to a absolute stop once again, rain and lightning being frozen in mid air - Dio Brando teleported forward to the Sith lord in a flash once more, and began sucking even more of his blood. Power, pure power began to fill his body, flesh, bones, metal - every single part. All of DIO was empowered with this energy, and once the five seconds were up? He was ready.
(Cue Charge of Darkness)
By the time the five seconds were completely up - DIO stopped time once again no more than when a single millisecond had passed, this time without a Za Warudo shout. And thus, began the Time Stop Barrage. By the time a millisecond had passed, he was punching the Sith lord at speeds dozens of times faster than light, breaking his black armor and smashing shards straight into his body, blood dripping to the ground. Cooling down the air around him again, rain turned to snow - and when DIO punched the arm of the cyborg it froze - and shattered to glitter almost immediately, blood flowing to the ground like a fountain. With clicks, snaps and crushes, the vampire began violently twisting and smashing Darth Vader's limbs and body parts, heavily damaging him. But it wasn't the end yet - Dio Brando punched the Sith lord at these speeds - 70 times faster than light - and it all accumulated at one point. When the time stop ceased to be - and reality flew once more, Darth Vader's body was quite horribly mangled and broken, causing the cyborg lord of the Sith to fall to the ground in cost of these quite terrible injuries.
''Most impressive...'' The dying Sith lord said to himself, and to Dio. He didn't expect this move - he didn't realize he could do this, either. Why didn't he just unleash his Force powers at the start, and use his telepathic abilities to destroy Dio's mind? it was indeed a very, very foolish mistake, but he couldn't do anything about it now, could he?
''I, DIO, believe I am done here! You won't feel a thing!''
(Cue Jojo)
Miraculously ripping a steamroller out of nowhere, he brought the vehicle that weighed many tons above his head, and before Darth Vader could process what was really happening...smashed it right on top of the Sith lord. The kinetic energy of a 30 ton steamroller smashing onto him at 0.99c - 286 gigatons to be exact - utterly crushed him - DIO stopped time once more, and began his signature battle cry.

Wiz: This battle was a close one, with both of the fighters having unique advantages over the other.
Bommstick: But Dio's advantages were more than enough to deal with the Sith lord.
Wiz: Although Vader's uses of the force could easily tears Dio apart, and let him tank mostly anything Dio could attempt against him, the latter's speed would let him dodge or counter attack to nearly anything thrown at him.
Boomstick: Yeah, while Vader has reacted to light speed attacks, Dio's Stand has shown to be easily 70 times the speed of light!
Wiz: Even with a light saber, in direct melee combat Dio had the edge due to his speed and superior physical strength.
Boomstick: But the real deal came with his Stand's ability: The time stop. Not only did this let him get away from most tricks Vader could pull off, but by accumulating damage by constantly punching in a time stop, Dio can racks up 8 teratons of force in a single blow.
Wiz: Even if Darth Vader somehow survive the onslaught, there wasn't anything stopping Dio from doing it a second or third time. And again, with his speed, he could take Vader out before the latter tries any mind tricks using the force.
