Darth Malgus, birth name Veradun, is one of the main protagonists and antagonists of the Star Wars: The Old Republic video game series. He appears in the Star Wars Legends continuity, which is no longer official canon as of the 2014 reboot.

History[]
Born Veradun, the Sith Lord who would eventually become Darth Malgus has eventually rose to prominence in the Great Galactic War, where he usurped his master and became head of the Sith Empire. In a time where the Galactic Republic was weakened by corruption and complacency, Malgus took charge and reclaimed Korriban, the ancient Sith homeworld, back under control of the Sith Empire. There, he achieved victory after victory over the Republic, until Alderaan, where he was defeated by the soon to be Grand Master of the Jedi Order, Satele Shan. Despite this loss, he managed to deliver a crushing defeat upon the Republic with the sacking of Coruscant, forcing them to sign the Treaty bearing it's name and decimating the Jedi Order, though their annilhilation was not complete.
