The first of Blazewhisper's Death Battles kick off into high gear immediately, as the planetary conqueror takes on the planetary destroyer, but which villain will continue their evil ways and who will perish?
Introduction[]
Blaze: Tell me something Whisper. If you were an all powerful being who had the choice between ruling the planet by force or straight up destroying it, what would you go for?
Whisper: Well duh, obviously the one that wins this battle between antagonists that follow one or the other. Like Darkseid, DC's ruler of Apokolips.
Blaze: And Frieza, the tyrannical destroyer of Planet Vegeta. I'm Blaze and she's Whisper the Wisp, and it's our job to analyse their weapons, armour and skills to determine who would win a Death Battle!
Darkseid[]
Blaze: Long ago, there was an event known as Ragnarok. At the end of it all, two groups of gods were split off into factions, with the collective group of gods being referred to as the New Gods.
Whisper: There was two groups of New Gods, the good guy gods led by the brilliant Highfather on New Genesis, and the bad guys that inhabited the fiery hell of Apokolips. And Apokolips went by the Mortal Kombat rules, by being spelled with a "K". How nice.
Blaze: A fitting comparison for such a world, Whisp, but Apokolips was much, much worse. On Apokolips, the ruler, Drax, was supposed to be the one to enter the Omega Pit and absorb the Omega Effect, as per the ritual like thing Apokoliptan rulers had to go through. But among his fellow gods was his younger brother, Uxas.
Whisper: Who decided to craftily trick his bro into death so he could take the power for himself. Nice work you glorious tyrant, no wonder you rule over a world of hell.
Blaze: Deciding to take advantage of Drax's demise, Uxas instead absorbed the Omega Effect, and subsequently became the most dangerous villain in all the universe.
Whisper: And what better way to make your deadly presence known than by calling yourself a name that perfectly syncs with your incredibly evil ways: Darkseid.
Blaze: As Darkseid, Uxas sought to take his empire beyond Apokolips, and aim to expand it across the universe. See, while someone like Thanos wants to kill the universe, Darkseid simply wants to rule it.
Whisper: And yet Darkseid was the one that won the Death Battle. Figure that.
Blaze: And among Darkseid's hit list was the Anti-Life Equation, basically a piece of mathematical proof that all life is meaningless, and that living is futile. Incredibly dark, yet a thing Darkseid believed he couldn't truly dominate without.
Whisper: But with all of his power, holy shit, Darkseid should really have done it by now!
Blaze: Aside from being quite a brutish character, Darkseid is very, very powerful. For example, the Omega Effect allows him to fire Omega Beams from his eyes. These things are fast enough to keep up with the likes of Superman, and are incredibly powerful to the point where they can completely disintegrate the likes of Kryptonians, are intangible, can negate durability and even straight up erase people from existence.
Whisper: And if that's not crazy enough, the beams can hit Secret, who's whole schtick is to become intangible, or even teleport an opponent through space or time. Yeah, remember Final Crisis, and how Batman was supposedly dead through the beams? Yeah, turns out the real Batman had been blasted through time!
Blaze: And if that wasn't enough, the Omega Effect itself boosts Darkseid's capabilities to an absurd extent. Take this for example, he can paralyse Infinity Man, remove powers, drain info and read said info from minds, harden time and space to stop both entirely, and even control 3 million Daxamites all at once.
Whisper: That's terrifying, and what's worse is that this is only a few of many on Darkseid's list. He can manipulate his size, tamper with tech, manipulate heat, corrupt people, mess with your biology, manipulate magical energies and also restrain Superman and Infinity Man with telekinesis. Holy shoot, this mad lad really lives up to his title of god. And this was all before Flashpoint. Hell, this Darkseid is also from the Pre-Crisis timeline.
Blaze: That's right, Darkseid was one of the lucky few unaffected by the reality warping multiversal cataclysm that was the Crisis on Infinite Earths. Only high beings like the Spectre survived such an event.
Whisper: But is it really that surprising, Darkseid has tanked a lot of punishment, from attacks by Flash, Superman and the entire Justice League, to Lex Luthor's weapon designed to quite literally rip apart existence.
Blaze: He's survived Desaad's machine designed to induce fear, being sealed, Mary Marvel's darkened magic lightning when she went through an... emo phase of sorts and he even stated that Eclipso's possession is useless on him. Tell that to Nekron in Blackest Night's Dark Multiverse.
Whisper: Ehh, not to worry, Nekron's a demonic god just like Darkseid himself, so more than likely Darkseid should only be affected by possession from beings on similar power levels. Besides, Eclipso also fell under the Black Lantern spell at one point, so he should be comparable if not stronger! And that's not getting into his ability to travel through Boom Tubes, or the ability to trap you in the Omega Sanction, where you get a dose of Diavolo and enter a state of infinite deaths!
Blaze: I mean, we're talking about the very same villain who was capable of making a trip to the Source Wall, which is at the very edge of existence, in a mere 5 seconds, a trip it took the Helmet of Nabu a whole year to reach. And what's even funnier is the fact that all of this wasn't actually Darkseid, only a mere avatar.
Whisper: Yep, turns out that Darkseid's true form is it's own existence that can end time and space as we know it entirely! It resides in a higher plane of existence in the Fourth World, and his avatars are necessary for him to interact with the multiverse itself. This is absolutely crazy!
Blaze: To Darkseid though, this is nothing. His avatars are already tough to take down, but it's nigh-impossible to eliminate his true form unless you were even higher beyond him. Quite shocking, but proof of the legendary evil that is Darkseid.
Frieza[]
Blaze: The Frost Demons of Universe 7, as they've known to be called, were born as a race which were both incredibly powerful yet incredibly cruel. The family ran a force known as the Cold Force, led by King Cold, but notably one of them and his team targeted the planet of Planet Vegeta, specifically being Lord Frieza.
Whisper: Frieza was a dictator, and his Frieza Force worked the Saiyans of Planet Vegeta as part of their own personal extended army. See, the Frieza Force was the Cold Force, passed down to Frieza by King Cold, who was actually his father, and the mission on Planet Vegeta was Frieza's major plan.
Blaze: But then came the point where Frieza learned of a legend. A legend of the Super Saiyan, a Saiyan so powerful that it was destined to become all powerful. Now, Frieza was a little paranoid, believing that the Super Saiyan would rise up to him and kill him before his scheme could be complete.
Whisper: So the logical thing to do would be to blow up the planet, but upon learning that a certain set of magical balls existed, Frieza then decided to set his sights on that instead.
Blaze: So heading to their location, the planet Namek, Frieza and his elite team scoured the planet for the Dragon Balls to use them to wish for immortality. Unfortunately for Frieza, there just so happened to be a certain Saiyan and his allies also looking for the same set of relics. And that was the remaining Saiyan, Son Goku.
Whisper: Well, one of the remaining Saiyans anyway. Still, Frieza was seen as a major threat, but thankfully Goku, having awoke Super Saiyan within him, killed Frieza... only for him to come back as a cyborg. Then he was murdered again, but again he was brought back for this intergalactic tournament thingy, it's a long story really.
Blaze: But in his stints alive, Frieza made himself a force to be reckoned with.
Whisper: Frieza is capable of using energy as blasts, with some of his more casual blasts being able to destroy entire planets in one shot. He can fire a Death Beam from his finger, charge up a massive Death Ball, or fire a majorly damaging Death Cannon. Wow, so much death.
Blaze: Certainly what Frieza is known for causing, but he's also known for his own version of Mega Man X's Nova Strike ability, and his upgraded equivalent of Krillin's Destructo Disc, the Death Saucer.
Whisper: And that's not all, Frieza's base form body is actually his final form, he's got others before said form. First one is your typical basic Frieza, the second form is buffed up, and the third one turns his head into Martian Manhunter, while also looking like a bug.
Blaze: Then, when going full power, Frieza's body gets massive buffs to it's appearance and it's power. This is him at 100% Full Power, and in this form he could hold his own against Super Saiyan Goku. When the form wasn't outclassed by hundreds of other forms at the time.
Whisper: But better than this is Golden Frieza, a form which allowed the destroyer to hold his own against not Super Saiyan, not Super Saiyan God, but Super Saiyan Blue. He also casually destroyed the planet and killed Vegeta, but Whis was quick to fix that right up.
Blaze: He's also got this awesome hover pod that he sits in like a powerful Dr. Eggman. No idea why he chooses to use such a thing when he can fly, and resist destruction energy from the likes of Sidra, Universe 9's God of Destruction. Said energy is designed to ignore conventional durability and erase people with ease.
Whisper: And the guy, in his best forms, can hold his own against Super Saiyan Blue, you know, the stronger version of the form that could shake the universe by clashing with Beerus! And Beerus is someone who moves quadrillions times faster than light casually!
Blaze: All well and good for Frieza, but this doesn't make him perfect. He's cocky, given his all powerful status, and even with all that power, he's been killed more times than Krillin. Okay, bit of an exaggeration, but he's been killed by Goku, Trunks, almost killed by Broly, you get the picture.
Whisper: But as he's someone who can survive being manhandled by Super Saiyan DBS Broly for an entire hour, Frieza is not a ruler that you want to mess with.
Interlude[]
Blaze: All right the combatants are set, so let's end this excitement once and for all.
Whisper: Never thought I would be saying this in my life, but it's time for a Death Battle!
Death Battle[]
The atmosphere of the planet Tatooine was the next stop for the planet busting overlord known simply as Frieza. This planet had been on his radar for some time before he was aware of Earth's existence, and thanks to the Tournament of Power being his gateway back to the land of the living, nothing was stopping him from running free and doing his own things now!
Frieza: Oh dear, from the looks of things this is a desert planet. Oh well, I'd be doing these sad excuses for living beings a favour by destroying it. Ohohohoho, I'm sorry, I meant dead beings, how silly.
Charging up a blast of energy in his hand, Frieza fired it off slowly towards the planet, but to his shock a figure arose from a weird portal that had manifested in front of the attack. Out of it came a rocky being, standing upon a flying disc as if it were a platform, and said being was hit by the blast, which harmlessly dissipated as it hit his face.
Darkseid: Who dares? This is no way to greet your leader.
Frieza: Hmm, I could've sworn that blast was enough to destroy this miserable space rock, but I guess to another miserable space rock planet destroying blasts must be nothing.
Darkseid: You dare insult Darkseid!? Know your place, impudent alien.
Frieza placed his finger to his chin, and tapped it slowly as if he was thinking about the power of the new company that had approached him and interrupted his target.
Frieza: I don't know Rocky Balboa, maybe you should know yours. At the feet of the Frieza Force. But with such power, I can't help but think that you want to kill me. So I'll level with you. Give it all you got, and I'll do the same. And by that, I mean... I'll kill you.
Darkseid: Bold words from a would-be tyrant. Grovel before me, or perish. Your choice, use it wisely.
Frieza fired a sphere of energy to which Darkseid tilted his head to the side to avoid. Said blast ended up meeting the planet's surface, and once it did, BOOM! The planet was reduced to space rubble that floated away from the duo.
Frieza: You did say to use it wisely.
FIGHT![]
Frieza flew towards Darkseid with his tail ready to smack him one right in the middle of space. However, Darkseid caught it, and threw Frieza in a 360 away from the rocky villain.
Frieza: Okay, clearly you're someone who's looks can be decieving.
Frieza tried going in for rapid punches and kicks, but Darkseid, still with his arms behind his back, effortlessly ducked left and right as all the attacks missed entirely, but one lucky kick caught him, causing him to flinch.
Darkseid: Perhaps I underestimated you too much.
Frieza: Now he realises.
Frieza approached Darkseid at rapid speeds again, this time swinging his tail to strike Darkseid's face. But the New God wasn't one to fall for cheap attacks, so he once again grabbed Frieza's tail, but this time he pulled Frieza towards him and slammed is fist into Frieza's face, sending the villain literally miles away further into space. With the Boom Tubes, Darkseid covered the distance in mere seconds, chopping the back of Frieza's neck causing him to spit out some blood. The frost demon's body fell limp for a brief second, allowing Darkseid to grab him by the face and deliver a painful knee to the gut, catapulting Frieza a fair distance away.
Darkseid: Pitiful.
Frieza held himself in the air, fixing his balance as he started firing blasts of energy while rushing towards the god, with the intentions of blinding him to deliver an attack. Darkseid effortlessly shrugged off the energy, but Frieza's speed was great, and a painful punch hit the New God in the face. Then Frieza continued the rapid fire punches, before roundhouse kicking Darkseid in the gut sending him crashing through the center of another planet, this time an ice one.
Frieza: And wait for it...
The planet erupted and split apart, before exploding into small little chunks of rock that surrounded Darkseid. The tyrant shook his head, but Frieza was expecting him to survive such an attack. So he powered up to 100% Full Power, and fired a Death Cannon towards Darkseid. The New God wasn't expecting a more powerful blast, so when he tried charging through it like he was a tank, the blast sent him through even more planets which suffered the same fate as the first two.
Darkseid: Every planet destroyed is less for my empire.
Darkseid suddenly appeared behind Frieza due to his amazing speeds, and grabbed him by his neck to strangle him.
Frieza: Hey, can you catch discs?
Darkseid tried gripping Frieza's beefed up neck harder, but not hard enough. Frieza gathered the strength to tilt his head, and a Death Saucer came by decapitating Darkseid entirely, causing him to release his grip immediately.
Frieza: That's strange, I could've sworn that was only capable of splitting the planet in two. Oh-
Frieza's train of thought was interrupted as Darkseid grabbed the front of Frieza's face and warmed up his hand, exploding a blast into Frieza's face and sending him a long distance away.
Darkseid: Absolutely pathetic. Your last chance, bow or perish?
Frieza: I'd rather take my chances.
Frieza charged up a lot of energy and turned into his True Golden Frieza form, creating a giant ball of pure energy that was designed to destroy the universe. He launched it towards Darkseid, who fired off some Omega Beams, as the two clashed. Frieza grinned while Darkseid kept frowning, but then Frieza screamed as the beams surged through the ball, which blew up right in Darkseid's face.
Waking up after the beams hit him, Frieza looked up to see this giant figure looking over him. Oh, and the multiverse too.
Darkseid: This is who I truly am, power beyond even yours. Now pay with your life.
The true form of Darkseid blasted Frieza with Omega Beams, which caught up to the tyrant as he tried escaping. In no time, Frieza was back in space. Then Krillin came in, and sliced his head off with a Destructo Disc.
K.O![]
Meanwhile, in the white void of space, Darkseid was surrounded by pocket universes shaped in small little balls, which showed Frieza dying in many ways. Darkseid chuckled to himself, mocking Frieza by merely stating...
Darkseid: And let this be a warning for anyone who dares strike me. Merely a warm-up, Earth, Superman will be dead by my hands. Time is ticking, grovel before me... or die.
Results[]
Blaze: Well that was expected.
Whisper: Listen, we get that Frieza was powerful, but Darkseid... Darkseid just destroyed the guy.
Blaze: While being capable of matching Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta is impressive, as such characters are capable of clashing and shaking the universe, Darkseid has tanked blasts designed to rip apart the very fabric of existence, and has held his own against universe destroyers on the regular.
Whisper: Darkseid was also faster too. Quadrillions of times light speed is great for Frieza, but compared to Darkseid reaching the ends of existence in a few seconds, the same trip which took the Helm of Nabu a year to make.
Blaze: Much faster than Frieza, and this is only the avatars of Darkseid. The true Godhead Darkseid towers over the multiverse, exists on higher dimensions, and his mere presence could destroy the multiverse. That's far beyond Frieza, meaning that this was a losing battle from the beginning.
Whisper: Frieza's forms were merely planet busters at their best too, so this win was in fact very easy for Darkseid, who had more abilities at his disposal, like time screwing, the Omega Beams and many more.
Blaze: Frieza's a powerful being, sure, but Darkseid far outclassed him in every way. Frieza was between a rock and a hard ruler for this battle.
Whisper: And the winner is Darkseid.

- This is the first ever battle of Blazewhisper's on the Death Battle Fanon. As a result, it is also the first episode of season 1
- As a pilot episode, everything is going to be held back a little in quality and length, just to test out everything and get a feel for writing these episodes. By next episode, quality is going to be ramped up high.
