Description[]
Two of the most destructive giant monsters around will battle it out to see who's the strongest.
Interlude[]
Wiz: When you see giant monsters, you know you're in trouble.
Boomstick: But some giant monsters just put the others to shame. Like Dark Gaia, SEGA's god of destruction.
Wiz: And Godzilla, the King of the Kaiju.
Boomstick: He's Wiz, and I'm Boomstick.
Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.
Dark Gaia[]
Wiz: Sonic the Hedgehog has faced many enemies throughout his life of heroism, but most can't compare to Dark Gaia.
Boomstick: Dark Gaia was created by the Earth to keep balance between good and evil along with his counterpart, Light Gaia. In short, the Earth created Dark Gaia so he could destroy the Earth, which seems pretty stupid to me.
Wiz: Dark Gaia is an immortal being who was created at the beginning of time. Whenever he's around, he'll wreak havoc on the Earth, & Light Gaia comes to stop him.
Boomstick: Which he succeeds in doing, EVERY time!
Wiz: After being defeated, Dark Gaia and Light Gaia are sealed back into the Earth to sleep for millions of years before they return.
Boomstick: This guy spends most of his life sleeping!? What makes him so great!?
Wiz: Well, when he's awake at full power, he has six arms, each equipped with long sharp claws.
Boomstick: That it?
Wiz: He can shoot lasers.
Boomstick: Now that's what I'm talk'n about.
Wiz: Dark Gaia is composed of a dark energy that he uses to do many things, like the aforementioned lasers.
Boomstick: Yeah, he can put energy in his hands for extra damage or to block hits.
Wiz: Dark Gaia also possesses tentacles. When he channels his energy through them, he can create a nearly indestructible force-field strong enough to hold off Super Sonic. It can even shoot energy balls.
Boomstick: Yeah, but it wasn't strong enough to keep Light Gaia out.
Wiz: Well, this is likely because Light Gaia's light energy is able to counter Dark Gaia's dark energy without the need to overpower him.
Boomstick: Whatever.
Wiz: Dark Gaia is tremendously powerful, able to match Light Gaia blow for blow, and he gets stronger once he reaches his perfect form.
Boomstick: Speaking of which, Dark Gaia's Perfect form will be the one used in the fight, cause that's his true form.
Wiz: Dark Gaia is very durable, as he can take an energized punch from Light Gaia and shake it off like it's nothing.
Boomstick: He can also withstand the heat of Earth's core like it's a bubble bath, giving him resistance to heats as hot as 10,800 degrees Fahrenheit.
Wiz: One if his more useful abilities is to draw power from the negative energy of beings across the planet.
Boomstick: Now, normally, giant monsters are really slow, and Dark Gaia's no exception, but his reflexes are pretty good cause he can slash fast enough to hit Super Sonic, who's been calculated [1] to be at least 300 times the speed light. He can even slash with all six arms at once.
Wiz: And that's not all. Dark Gaia can throw balls of electricity that paralyze opponents, but these can be knocked back at him to stun him instead.
Boomstick: And he can throw stuff with his mind! INCLUDING LAVA!
Wiz: That's telekinesis Boom.
Boomstick: Who cares!? It's awesome!
Wiz: Yes well, with all that said, let's move on to feats.
Boomstick: There's the Earth's core thing we mentioned earlier, but their's also his main purpose, HE CAN DESTROY EARTH!
Wiz: Just by waking up in his incomplete form, he shattered the planet to pieces.
Boomstick: He's held his own against Super Sonic AND Light Gaia alongside putting the former unconscious. Sure he lost (again) but how many sonic characters have done anything like that?
Wiz: He's enveloped the world in darkness, damaged the nearly invincible Super Sonic through sheer force, and immobilized Light Gaia using all six hands. He can even fire his lasers at point-blank range.
Boomstick: Course, with all that power, he's gotta have a weakness to explain why he loses so much.
Wiz: Indeed, a very obvious one at that, make that seven.
Boomstick: Yep, those giant eyes are the only thing keeping Dark Gaia from destroying the Earth.
Wiz: While hitting the six smaller eyes with enough force can cause him great pain, hitting his big middle eye hard enough can kill him.
Boomstick: And his electro balls can be used against him, but still, you should never mess with this monster, cause he'll kill anyone who gets in his way.
Godzilla[]
Boomstick: The King of the Monsters is back to kick tail!
Wiz: We've covered Godzilla before, but we'll need to do it again so everyone gets the memo.
Boomstick: When humans were testing nuclear weapons, they woke up Godzilla and turned him into a giant, rampaging beast!
Vrokorta: For this fight, Godzilla will be 100 meters tall, the same height as the original DB.
Boomstick: WHERE THE HECK DID YOU COME FROM!?!?!?
Vrokorta: I'm writing the FDB.
Boomstick: Fine, but give me a warning next time you wanna jump in like that.
Wiz: Godzilla's nuclear energy is so great that most mortal beings can't even survive being near him.
Boomstick: He contaminates anything and everything in his wake.
Wiz: But that's not what makes him special, his tremendous strength is what he's noticed for.
Boomstick: His strength is enough to lift and throw weights of at least 20,000 tons!
Wiz: He can use this strength to treat others monsters like play things and toss them silly.
Boomstick: He can also use his strength to hammer his enemies with his fists, and he can channel energy through parts of his body for more powerful blows! But that's not where it ends, he can use his tail as a weapon too. This thing is strong enough to bring down buildings and topple other monsters.
Vrokorta: He can also use it for one of a kind attacks.
Boomstick: LIKE HIS CRAZY, TAIL SLIDING DROP KICK!!!
Wiz: His Nuclear Pulse has him emit atomic energy from every inch of his body in a short range pulse to attack nearby surrounding enemies.
Boomstick: We also have his signature technique, THE ATOMIC BREATH.
Vrokorta: When muscles and drop kicks aren't enough to get the job done, Godzilla fires concentrated radiation from his mouth.
Wiz: This blast was powerful enough to kill some kaiju in one shot.
Boomstick: And it's hot too. This stuff was officially stated to be 500,000 degrees C normally, and he can make it hotter!
Vrokorta: While he can just alter the heat, that's NOTHING compared to its true pontential.
Wiz: The Spiral Heat Ray is a stronger and hotter version of the atomic breath. It can reach temperatures ranging from 900,000 degrees C to 1.2 million degrees C, hot enough to burn his own mouth.
Boomstick: His atomic breath can even cause explosions when they hit something.
Vrokorta: And don't think Godzilla's some glass cannon or something.
Wiz: Godzilla is strong enough to survive a hydrogen bomb.
Boomstick: And regular ol' guns and tank shells are like nothing to this guy.
Vrokorta: He can even survive complete submersion in magma!
Wiz: On top of that, Godzilla has survived a man-made black hole.
Boomstick: And if big G does take damage, HE CAN REGENERATE!
Vrokorta: His healing factor makes him even more unstoppable then he already is.
Wiz: And he's smart enough to think on his own, make decisions, and exploit enemy weaknesses. His intelligence is sometimes associated with that of a human.
Boomstick: And with all this together, he still manages to get killed more than the average protagonist.
Vrokorta: If you can even call him that.
Wiz: He's shown a weakness to electricity from man-made objects and machines.
Boomstick: And even though conventional weaponry is like nothing to the big guy, to much heavy weaponry can injure him.
Vrokorta: And even though Godzilla's a strong kaiju, he can still be overpowered by possibly stronger kaiju.
Wiz: And if he's struck in his second brain, he'll be paralyzed from the waist down.
Boomstick: And if someone blasts a hole in Godzilla's neck, he won't be able to use his atomic breath, as it could cause him to explode.
Vrokorta: But none of these weaknesses have ever stopped him from being The King of the Monsters.
*Godzilla Roar*

Wiz: Alright, the combatants are set.
Vrokorta: I'm ready to see who wins.
Boomstick: IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLE!!!
Intro[]
Location: Earth's Core
Dark Gaia stood over a pile of burning stone. These were the remains of his opponent, Light Gaia. There was nothing to stop him now, he would continue on... to destroy the Earth.
Meanwhile, on the surface
Godzilla stood, ready to fight a newly upgraded Gigan, but before either of them could make a move, the Earth split open, dropping Gigan into it. Gigan managed to catch himself in the air before hitting the magma, but it was too late for him as Dark Gaia blasted him with a laser, destroying his body and leaving his remains to drop into the magma.
Dark Gaia gazed up at the crack he'd made and saw Godzilla peering down at him. Godzilla took him as a threat, as did Dark Gaia. Dark Gaia grabbed hold of the Earth Godzilla was standing on and dragged it down to the magma so he could face his new opponent. Fight[]
(Boss-Perfect Dark Gaia-Sonic Unleashed)
Dark Gaia raised his force field. Godzilla fired his atomic breath, to no effect. Dark Gaia fired orbs & magma at Godzilla, but Godzilla took the hits & continued to attack, eventually hitting one of Dark Gaia's tentacles. Godzilla realized what he needed to do & started attacking Dark Gaia's other tentacles. Eventually all of the tentacles were destroyed & Godzilla moved in to attack Dark Gaia. Dark Gaia proceeded to slash Godzilla with his claws, damaging the kaiju king. Godzilla shot his atomic breath at Dark Gaia's middle eye, causing an explosion and causing Dark Gaia to reel back whilst clutching his eye with two hands. Godzilla took this chance to fire at Dark Gaia again, but Dark Gaia held up his four other hands, charged with energy to block the atomic breath. Dark Gaia uncovered his eye as it glowed with energy. Dark Gaia fired an enormous laser from his eye that completely engulfed Godzilla. Godzilla roared in pain as the laser burned his body.
When the laser cleared, Gozilla still stood, wounded, but not finished. Godzilla began to fire his spiral heat atomic breath at Dark Gaia. Dark Gaia blocked with his hands, feeling the sheer power pushing against him. He overcame the blast, grabbed Godzilla and threw him into floating terrain, shattering the piece of Earth and dropping Godzilla in the magma. Dark Gaia knew no being on Earth could survive the magma, not even Light Gaia. But to his surprise, Godzilla rose from the magma, and he was mad. Godzilla shot his spiral heat atomic breath again, hitting Dark Gaia's middle eye once again, causing Dark Gaia to let out a deafening screech of pain. Godzilla followed up by grabbing a boulder and hurling it at Dark Gaia. The boulder hit Dark Gaia, but he didn't even flinch. Suddenly Godzilla felt himself getting lifted up, but he didn't see anything lifting him. Dark Gaia held Godzilla in the air with his TK and threw electric balls of darkness at him. Godzilla took the hits and was paralyzed. Dark Gaia threw Godzilla into multiple floating Earth bits before slamming him into the ground and blasting him with a laser.
Dark Gaia watched, waiting for if his opponent would resurface. He noticed undulations in the magma, his brain not telling him what it was.
All of a sudden, the magma burst from the Earth, splashing everywhere. Dark Gaia searched for his foe and didn't notice Godzilla, right behind him! Godzilla grabbed Dark Gaia by the base of his body, tore him from the ground, swung him into whatever terrain bits were left around him, and threw him into several distant terrain bits, followed by an atomic breath.
Dark Gaia slowly rose as he reconnected his body to Earth and blocked Godzilla's rapid onslaught of atomic breath. Dark Gaia wanted to end this, he wasn't gonna let some random creature keep him from his goal. He used his TK and picked up whatever he could get his mind on, boulders, magma, terrain bits, even his energy balls were thrown at Godzilla. Godzilla was bombarded by the wall of debris, he tried to blast some of it away, but it was too much. It didn't help that he was paralyzed by Dark Gaia's energy spheres. As the debris cleared, Dark Gaia used his remaining tentacles to grab Godzilla by the tail, legs, arms, and neck. Dark Gaia moved in to attack Godzilla but, before he could, Godzilla used his nuclear pulse to blast all the tentacles off of him. Godzilla fired his atomic breath at Dark Gaia's middle eye, but Dark Gaia moved his head out of the way. Dark Gaia subdued Godzilla with all six hands and charged his laser at point blank. Godzilla saw this and charged his atomic breath. The two beams collided and there was an explosion visible from space that blew up part of Earth.
There was nothing to see, just magma and dark sky. Suddenly, Godzilla burst from the lava roaring with a severely damaged upper-half.

Godzilla used his atomic breath to fly back on to solid ground.
Results[]
Boomstick: Woah! That was awesome!
Vrokorta: Dark Gaia may have been stronger, being able to fight Super Sonic & all, but Godzilla's experience, healing factor, & intelligence allowed him to outlast & kill Dark Gaia.
Boomstick: Dark Gaia was powerful, but in the end, Godzilla was the true God of Destruction.
Wiz: The winner is Godzilla.
Extra[]
I don't actually agree with this fight anymore, Dark Gaia should've won. The only reason I didn't change the outcome is cause I already remastered the fight. If you want the real outcome, check that out.
Alt. End[]
Godzilla was charging his atomic breath, expecting to finish the fight soon. Dark Gaia saw this and used his TK to close Godzilla's mouth (big mistake). Godzilla began to shudder from the energy building up in his body, his body began to glow slightly blue, but then it started glowing a deep red. His chest was glowing, his legs were glowing, the edges of his spines were glowing, & around his mouth was glowing too. Dark Gaia wasn't going to let the attack commence. Eventually, Godzilla's nuclear pulse began going off like CRAZY, and the atomic breath was seeping from his mouth. Dark Gaia kept Godzilla's mouth closed, but Godzilla began to glow all over, then suddenly

Vrokorta: Dark Gaia vs Godzilla was a cool fight, but now I disagree with it.
Boomstick: Now the fight'll be rewritten with new research to find the true victor.
Wiz: I'm Wiz, they're Vrokorta & Boomstick, it's our job to re-analyze these character's weapons, armor, & skills to find out who will win this death battle.
Vrokorta: For this fight, we'll try to keep the analyses short & skip backstories. We'll mostly list off stats, abilities, & feats.
Dark Gaia[]
Strength: He was strong enough to battle Super Sonic & Light Gaia at the same time. His darkness was capable of lifting a continent. Was strong enough to immobilize the Gaia Colossus with all six hands. Can damage Super Sonic. His awakening fractured Earth.
Speed: Fast enough to keep up with Light Gaia & Super Sonic at the same time.
Durability: Capable of taking hits from Light Gaia & Super Sonic. Survived being in the core of the Earth.
Abilities: Darkness manipulation, lasers, balls of electricity that stun enemies, six clawed arms, telekinesis, can block attacks with his hands, can materialize force fields, multiple tentacles, energy balls.
Flaws: Eyes are vulnerable to damage, electric orbs can be knocked back at him to stun him.
Godzilla[]
Strength: Destroyed Gorath, a large star. Damaged Space Godzilla, who absorbed the power of a star. Threw 5 million metric tons of rock off of himself.
Speed: Fast enough to react to Gigan, Ghidorah, & Spacegodzilla, all of whom have achieved FTL speeds.
Durability: Took hits from Space Godzilla, who had the power of a star. Survived being dropped from the upper atmosphere before being stepped on by Keizer Ghidorah & was still willing to fight. Survived being engulfed in lava.
Abilities: Can produce acid from his hands, can fly, has a strong resistance to heat, can come back from the dead an hour after death, fire breath, can infuse atomic energy into his fists to increase their power, electric bite, sharp dorsal plates, head butt, laser eyes, can change his size, digging,

- Capable of regenerating from just his heart.
- Regenerated his entire body after it was destroyed on a molecular level.
- Atomic Breath:
- Its lowest temperature is 500,000 degrees.

- Navel Blast: Shoots a beam of atomic energy shaped like his head from his chest.
- Explosive Shoulder Ram: Rams the opponent, causing an explosion.

Flaws: Vulnerable to intense cold, Oxygen Destroyer, too much radiation can cause Godzilla to explode or melt, intense pollution can be very harmful, artificial electricity has notably harmed him, if his second brain is destroyed he'll be immobilized, Atomic Breath can cause Godzilla to explode if there's a hole in his neck or shoulders.

Boomstick: It's time for a Death Battllllllle!
Fight[]
(Gojira's (Godzilla) Theme Song)
Godzilla was walking through Tokyo, destroying the city as he always did. But someone else showed up. It was Dark Gaia, & he started to wreck the city as well. Godzilla was going to fight him cause he was in the way, but he sensed Dark Gaia's power, & knew this creature had to be destroyed.
Godzilla: ARRRGH!
Dark Gaia turned towards Godzilla and roared before engaging him in battle.
FIGHT!
Godzilla shot his Atomic Breath at Dark Gaia, but he blocked it with his hands. Godzilla used his Super Atomic Breath on Dark Gaia, but he dodged it and slashed Godzilla's face. Godzilla punched Dark Gaia back, but he retaliated with an onslaught of slashes. Godzilla used the Nuclear Pulse & blasted Dark Gaia away, but Dark Gaia fired a laser at Godzilla. Godzilla tanked the hit & threw a building at Dark Gaia. Dark Gaia smashed the building & started slashing Godzilla again. Godzilla shot Atomic Breath at Dark Gaia's face, hitting him in his center eye. Dark Gaia grabbed Godzilla with both hands & fired a laser at his face. Godzilla countered with another Atomic Breath, this time aiming for another of Dark Gaia's eyes. Dark Gaia clutched his eye in pain, then lifted up a piece of the ground & threw it at Godzilla, catching the Kaiju King off guard & knocking him down. Dark Gaia fired another laser at Godzilla, but Godzilla shot his Atomic Breath at Dark Gaia's laser, causing the two to enter a power struggle. Godzilla poured his energy into the Atomic Breath & overpowered Dark Gaia, blowing up his face & causing him to fall over.
(Stop Music)
Godzilla roared in victory, but then he noticed Dark Gaia get back up.
(Boss - Perfect Dark Gaia - Sonic Unleashed Music Extended)
Dark Gaia turned towards Godzilla, now with seven huge eyes & six arms. Perfect Gaia shot a laser at Godzilla, knocking him down again. Perfect Gaia then smashed the ground under them, causing them to fall to the depths of the planet. Perfect Gaia emerged from the lava just fine, assuming Godzilla dead, that is until Big G rose from the lava unharmed as well. Perfect Gaia rushed at Godzilla and started slashing him faster than before. Godzilla used the Nuclear pulse on Perfect Gaia, but it had little effect on the beast. Perfect Gaia lifted Godzilla & threw him into the air before using his telekinesis to crush him between two large pieces of floating terrain. Godzilla fell back down & Perfect Gaia continued to destroy Earth, but he shot down a nuclear island that landed on Godzilla & caused a massive explosion. Godzilla emerged from the explosion as Burning Godzilla, then started blasting Perfect Gaia with his Infinite Heat ray. Perfect Gaia noticed the increasing strength of his opponent, & raised his force field. Burning Godzilla kept firing, but it couldn't penetrate the shield. Then Godzilla noticed tentacles sticking out of the force field, & started blasting them. Before he could continue, Perfect Gaia shot him with a laser & crushed him under floating terrain. Burning Godzilla burst from the terrain & unleashed his full power Infinite Heat Ray on Perfect Gaia's shield, making a hole in it & hitting one of Perfect Gaia's eyes.
Perfect Gaia: GRAUUGH!
Perfect Gaia started throwing balls of electricity at Burning Godzilla, paralyzing him. Perfect Gaia lowered his shield, and slashed the Kaiju King to his hearts content. When Burning Godzilla regained control, he delivered an Atomic Punch to Perfect Gaia's body, sending him reeling back. Burning Godzilla followed up with his Infinite Heat Ray, but Dark Gaia managed to block the attack just in time to fire his own laser, beginning another power struggle. This time Dark Gaia managed to overcome Godzilla, blowing up his face, & knocking him over.
(Stop Music)
Burning Godzilla knew he couldn't hold up much longer, but he felt something familiar, something powerful. He shot his Atomic Breath at the Earth above him, causing it to fall down & obstruct him from Perfect Gaia's view. Burning Godzilla used the last of his energy to get up, & wander onto the land he'd dropped. Perfect Gaia also wandered onto the land. Burning Godzilla felt ready to explode, but he found what he needed. Perfect Gaia soon found Godzilla, but he looked different.
(Boss - Solaris Phase 2 - Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) Music Extended)
Godzilla was blue & green now. He had big shoulders, & a crown looking crest on his head. He was wider, more muscular, & far more imposing. He had become, Super Godzilla.
Super Godzilla: ARRRRGHHHHHH!
Super Godzilla charged at Perfect Gaia, & Perfect Gaia charged at Super Godzilla. It was time for the final showdown.
Perfect Gaia VS Super Godzilla![]
Perfect Gaia slashed at Super Godzilla, but Super Godzilla dodged & punched Perfect Gaia. Perfect Gaia raised his force field & his tentacles started shooting lasers at Super Godzilla. Super Godzilla tanked the shots & forced his way into Perfect Gaia's shield. Perfect Gaia slashed Super Godzilla repeatedly, & Super Godzilla threw multiple punches at Perfect Gaia. Perfect Gaia lowered his force field & used his telekinesis to start throwing all the surrounding buildings at Super Godzilla. Super Godzilla smashed every building that came at him then fired his Nova Breath at Perfect Gaia, destroying another eye. Perfect Gaia kept slashing Super Godzilla, but he dodged all the attacks & used the Explosive Shoulder Ram on Perfect Gaia, knocking him out of the city. Perfect Gaia was fed up, he was gonna end this. Perfect Gaia absorbed all the planet's negative energy & darkness, & exhausted all his power in one last laser. Super Godzilla did the same & used his Navel Blast on Perfect Gaia.
Final Power Struggle![]
The two beasts' beams clashed against one another as they both tried to overcome one another, the resulting energy output utterly destroying any surrounding terrain, even going as far as to cause the magma around them to swirl. Then Super Godzilla added his Nova Breath to the clash, & started walking towards Perfect Gaia. Perfect Gaia brought out his tentacles & used those to help him in the clash. Super G faltered for a moment, but continued his march. Perfect Gaia threw electric orbs at Godzilla, but he knocked them back with his Super Punch, paralyzing Perfect Gaia with his own attack.
Perfect Gaia: GRAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!
Super Godzilla finally overcame Perfect Gaia, causing a massive explosion that blew up the remaining third of the Earth's surface, taking Dark Gaia with it.

Super Godzilla flew back to the Earth's surface, & Ghidorah decided not to invade today.
Perfect Gaia returned to Earth to slumber for a million years.

Boomstick: I can't believe how epic that was!
Vrokorta: You better believe it!
Boomstick: And I thought the old one was cool.
Wiz: Alright, it's time to discuss why Godzilla won.
Vrokorta: I take back my old fight, I think Perfect Gaia should've beaten Movie Godzilla, but Composite? That really tipped the scales.
Wiz: Godzilla had way more going for him than Dark Gaia did.
Boomstick: Godzilla started this fight with every advantage, Dark Gaia couldn't stand a chance.
Vrokorta: Then Perfect Gaia reared his head, turning the odds in his favor.
Wiz: Then we have Super Godzilla. This reduced the gap in power & allowed Godzilla to ultimately take the win.
Boomstick: Perfect Gaia was stronger & more durable, having fought Super Sonic who's pulled off many ridiculous feats. However, Godzilla at his best is at least universal+ since he absorbed the powers of God & Satan. So, if we highball both combatants, they'd both be roughly equal in terms of strength.
Wiz: Dark Gaia's reaction speed was superior, but Godzilla was smarter, more experienced, & had a healing factor.
Vrokorta: That's pretty much the main reason Godzilla won, he could regenerate from basically anything Dark Gaia threw at him. Add that to Perfect Gaia's obvious weakness & Godzilla's more hidden weaknesses, & you've got yourself a winner.
Boomstick: Looks like Dark Gaia, couldn't stand the heat.
Wiz: The winner is Godzilla.
